The Summoning
— Running into You
Tumblr media
"I've got a river running right into you. I've got a blood trail, red in the blue."
You weren't supposed to be anywhere near this man's path. But there was something about you that seems so compelling. Curiosity? Lust? Threat? He just has to know. Whatever it is, there's one thing he is definitely set on. He wants you and he's not so easily distracted from that goal.
— Dabi x f!oc/reader. Strangers
C/Tw. themes of harm, themes of mental issues, intrusive thoughts [All possible triggering content will be enclosed in !'s]

Thanks to your sudden burst of enthusiasm to get your job done — or your desperation to keep yourself busy so you don't have to listen to the static or the blaring of your thoughts — you are bored. You sit in front of your personal computer fidgeting with your numerous fidget toys scattered around due to you switching to each of them one after the other. You stare blankly as if you're looking into the void — the emptiness.
You snap yourself out of it with a blink and turn to the screen. You are on YouTube with a very diverse algorithm which isn't really much of a help in moments like this. It was more of a nuisance. "It doesn't hurt to scroll through, I guess." You move your mouse wheel to scroll down and while you are at it you take it upon yourself to fine-tune your algorithm. You unsubscribe to channels and content you stopped consuming years ago. This leads you back to your original interest as some might say the dark side of YouTube. You start by watching short horror films. You flinch at the appearance of jumpscares. You go down the rabbit hole of this side of YouTube and it eventually turns from the most out-of-this-world stories to those grounded more in reality. In no time you start to listen to true crime cases.
You watch one of the most known villains in the present time, Stain. Your mind somehow makes a connection to form a thought. "I wonder what it's like to have a blood quirk." You listen to one of the most recent videos talking about him and keep your hands busy with your desk toys.
You somehow agree with Stain's views, somehow, but your personal opinion persists: 'there are no such things as heroes and villains.' While it does help people differentiate from one another for it to be a fundamental feels limiting to you. That's why you concluded that you're neither above the villains nor below the heroes, even going so far as to you're not even somewhere in between. A thought that most of your peers never understood, not even tried to understand.
Thinking about it makes you so alone, so... lonely...
"As Stain's stance on society receives the spotlight people have risen to group themselves referring to themselves as the League of Villains. Not a lot is known about the origins of many members of this group but as they became more public the individuals making the group have been the subject of fear by most people. Especially since their association with All For One."
It's no surprise that small-time villains would flock to group themselves but high-ranked villains in a group? Who are these people? You try to find out information on the group. A lot of these people's quirks are amazing Compress, Transform, Decay, but one stands out to you the most: Blueflame.
Fire-type quirks have been some sort of your favourite alongside blood-type quirks. Maybe it has something to do with how hot temperatures give you the warmth you look for — or how such an element has an innate role for destruction. Not only was this quirk dangerous to its victims but also to the user. You start to look for pictures of the user named Dabi and sure enough, his appearance is proof of how much of a danger his quirk is to himself. He was fascinating — to an extent. It seems like this man has the most bodies on his trail. Just the thought of it... makes you sick. He feels worst than their own leader.
You finally decide to shut down your computer. You look to your window and notice the daylight is already gone. Have you been fixated on this for that long? You feel your stomach ache.
You stand and make yourself dinner. But as if you are in a trance you find yourself finding more information on the man named Dabi. Ever since his name and face became public many of the burned murder victims are starting to be linked to him.
You've only read about how hot blue flames are. "I wonder how it really feels?"
You serve your food and start eating. Your phone and hand are still glued to each other. Your eyes spend more time looking at your screen than at your food.
A piece of certain information piques your interest. There was a recent scene just a few stops from here. You let go of your phone and start to take bigger bites then put your dishes in the sink.
You get to your bed with your phone and still scroll down articles and articles. You eventually made a note of all the places of crime scenes where you think Dabi would have made. You consciously tell yourself to turn your phone off and get some sleep.

The King's return
It's been about 3 weeks ever since Leigh found the letter and went into hidding she occasionally heard voices outside but she never investigated them in fear it might be bandits. She counted them there were atleast two different male voices and one female voice. Then one day she randomly peeks her head outside and notices the temperature was back to normal Rivendell temperatures, she looks outside of the building, the ice was still there but Rivendell was pretty cold naturally so she wasn't surprised. "Looks like our King leaving did really help.. but Rivendell needs it's ruler, well i think it'd be best to take a quick walk around everywhere to make sure the voices i heard weren't actually bandits,, So she did, she walked from the enchanting tower across the river all the way to the embassy shelby had built and everywhere else. Luckly nothing was damaged or destroyed. She was walking past her Kings home: "Now lastly the not so secret meeting room, i know im not allowed in there if it's not an emergency but i just want to make sure everything is as it should be in there, it's one of the most important places here afterall,,  She made her way towards the meeting room, she was one of the few people that knew where the room was and how to open it in case an urgent message for the King ever arrived. When she was infront of the entrance she looked around to see if she was alone, then flicked the hidden lever and not even a second later the room was open to enter. At first all seemed fine, she walked down the stairs to get to the chairs and her Kings antlers. Looking over where they were kept along with the Xornoth crystal that was supposed to be there, she thought she was gonna pass out: "Nonononono... where is the crystal?!..It was here, where did it go?! Did someone take it..? Okay deep breathes... Lets think about this logically. Who would've taken it?,, She thought and thought then it clicked:  "Shelby! Shelby must have it, im sure of it. I mean the demon did go after her the most, she told me eveytime time it did, so who's to say she didn't take it? I need to tell our King, the Owl's are smart enough, one of them should be able to find him, right?,, She rushed out of the meeting room quickly closing the door behind herself and ran down to the owl building aka. her home and called upon an owl: "Errol! Come to me!,, A few seconds later Errol was on her arm. "Errol, you think you can find our King? We need him back,, Errol ruffeld his feathers and flapped his wings as an indication that he could and was ready to fly. "Okay i trust you on this, tell him that shelby took the Xornoth crystal, that should make him come back,, And with that Errol flew of to find King smajor. Leigh wasn't worried about Errol going missing since number 1. The Owls are smart enough to find their way and number 2. every Rivendell owl has a small cyan, gold and white ribbon bound around one of their feet so if it does go missing it can easily be identified if it's found. Leigh goes back inside, since temperatures are back to normal she begins to move the unhatched eggs out of her living quarters. This took her longer the she tought, but after about 4 hours she was done. Just as she put away the last few things she heard a voice in come into proximity from outside just beyond the door: "...not sure if i'll invite people over for the Winter festival that we normally do, but i can atleast decorate. I wonder if i can create snowmen...,, The voice faded out again Leigh knew exactly who that was. "King smajor...and the Winter fest..,, She rushed to the door, and was about to turn the knob when she stops herself. "No i shouldn't..,, she let's go of the door knob. "He just came back.. and has alot to deal with, i should leave him be he told us, his citizens to do so anyway. But he did mention the Winter festival and that he was gonna start decorating for it, maybe i should aswell? I think it's best to wait until he starts decorating too. Oh! im gonna visit mom and dad on Winter fest they probably miss me! Okay thats the plan then. It's good to atleast have some normality in Rivendell again after everything that's happend in the past few weeks,, And with that she went into her living quaters to get some rest since the sun was already setting.

Pairing/s: Damon Salvatore x Reader, Klaus Mikaelson x Reader
Warning/s: None
Word Count: 810
Request: Can I ask klaus x reader x Damon Salvatore? Where reader belongs from the lineage of different siren's, who were blessed by the gods? But reader doesn't know it yet and also readers parents knew but hid it? So when accidentally reader touches large amount of water she kinda turns into this mermaid thingie? So the mystic fall gang promises to reader's parents to protect reader from the Mikaelsons? So Damon falls hard for reader as ofc reader is a siren, but when klaus sees the reader he is also head over heels for them? Please see this!

You knew you had a choice to make, but it had come on so suddenly you'd barely had time to process it.
In a span of, well, not much time at all, you'd gone from a regular human who, admittedly, spent most of her time with vampires and other supernatural beings, to a siren whose lineage was blessed by the gods.
And on top of that, you had to decide whether to listen to Damon and stay in Mystic Falls or go with Klaus to New Orleans.
The stories about your ancestor Aurelia pointed to Mystic Falls; she might even be there herself, you knew all manner of creatures were drawn to the Crescent City. You couldn't deny the appeal of the coast either, the wide open waters and the chance for adventure...
Damon, on the other hand, offered you the security of home and a group of friends who supported you and trusted you. Besides, your parents would be furious. What were you going to do, leave them a note?
Damon had left you a lot to think about, especially that near kiss, but you couldn't deny that your cheek still tingled at the thought of Klaus knuckles caressing your skin.
Was this because you were a siren now? With Damon and the others, you knew they had been there for you before, that hadn't changed since finding out what you were, they weren't now suddenly drawn to you, but with Klaus... you had no way of knowing.
A leal of faith, Klaus had called it, and he was right. He couldn't promise you safety or even answers in New Orleans, all he could promise you was a chance, a chance to learn more, to discover who and what you truly were
Did you want to be stuck in Mystic Falls your whole life? The itch you'd always had to learn more about... everything the world has to offer had intensified when you'd learned about vampires and the supernatural, and it had become unbearable since learning that you were, in fact, also supernatural yourself.
Could you spend the rest of your life wondering what if?
You thought about what Damon liked to say actually, that it was better to ask for forgiveness than permission, and all the time you would spend here in the dark because you were too afraid to rock the boat.
Or had you already rocked the boat by even considering it, and if you took that leap out of the safety and security of Mystic Falls, would you drown without them to protect you?
The boat metaphors were confusing your sleepy mind as you realised it was now technically impossible for you to drown, but you reached a decision as you eventually drifted off to sleep.
You had to leave something behind their way, but in the end you had to choose the decision you could live with the most at the end of the day.
-
He stood on the path you used to get home, waiting for you, looking unsure. It was unusual for him, usually the face of cocky arrogance and smug charm.
He hung back, letting you approach, not wanting to seem too eager or concerned.
Klaus.
"I'll go," you told him with conviction that had come to you suddenly last night, knowing that even if you returned from New Orleans empty handed, you wouldn't spend the rest of your life wondering what if.
He looked relieved for a second then schooled his expression. You didn't know if Klaus' interest in you was genuine, or because you were a siren, but what he was offering you was real.
"You know, you might not find what you're looking for," he was making sure you knew exactly what you were walking into, but you already did.
"Even if I turn up nothing and come back, I'll have tried, I think living with the regret of not doing something is worse than doing it and it not going to way you expect, at least I'll know," you told him.
Klaus smiled and stepped toward you, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"They won't be happy," he commented. There, the only pang of guilt you had about your decision, but you shook your head, not wanting to let that deter you from your goals.
"No, but it's my decision, completely uncompelled and unforced, they'll come around," I hope, you added silently to yourself, thinking of your parents' shock and Damon's disappointment.
"Good," he said, "into the unknown then?" He offered you his hand, physically extending the offer.
"Into the unknown," you nodded, taking his hand. You wouldn't be alone; you were oddly certain in Klaus' presence as he lightly squeezed your hand. Even if you didn't find your answers, you were certain you'd find something, what, you didn't know, but it was an exciting prospect.

Kingdom Hearts Crossover (Ft. Grim, Ace, Deuce, Jack, Epel and Sebek) (Special Ft. Sora, Donald and Goofy)!
Tumblr media
Oh my, this certainly took me some time. I’m so sorry for it too, because you see, I’m not really a part of the KH fandom, I mean, I know what characters are there and all but I don’t know the plot
So for you all, my dear readers, I did research. A lot of research. I went from wiki to wiki to videos! I tried to weave the best story I can muster with my limited knowledge of Kingdom Hearts!
I thank you all once again for waiting for me and I do hope this stories lives up to your expectations everyone! Thank you for requesting this dear anon! It was lovely writing this crossover uwu (Plus there’s 3.5k++ words here)
Have a lovely day everyone!
Story is under the cut!!
“Stupid Headmaster…” Mumbled a certain little furball.
You and Grim were cleaning the Mirror Chamber one day, it was a punishment given to the two of you due to Grim who got into a fight with some upperclassmen because they just so happened to buy the last Deluxe Tuna Sandwich during lunch break. The furball had wanted to sneakily swap the sandwich with his bun but he was caught midway. A small fight occurred but thankfully Crowley had managed to stop the fight before it got uncontrollable.
However, no one got away scot free, the upperclassmen were tasked to clean up the laboratory after Professor Crewel’s classes for a day while you and Grim were stuck with cleaning the Mirror Chamber and taking care of the mirrors for a day.
“You have no right to talk here Grim…” You said in response to the mumblings of the furball.
“But, I was quick! I wouldn’t have got caught if it wasn’t for that one student behind the target!” Grim said, you just sighed and gently knocked the furball on his head.
“You should’ve just had the bun instead of pulling anything. Seriously, I’m beginning to think I’ve given you too much freedom, I should restrain that a bit… How does having tuna for breakfast for two days a week sound?” You asked with a small smirk.
“TWO DAYS A WEEK? NO! YOU CAN’T TAKE MY TUNA AWAY FROM ME!” Grim yelled out with widened eyes, looking straight at you.
“Then, let’s quickly finish the job in peace, please.” You said and went back to sweeping the floor. Grim hummed a hum of agreement as he grabbed a nearby cloth and began to wipe a mirror.
The two of you worked in silence, wanting to get the job done quickly and go back to your welcoming dorm. But, after sweeping for a while, you heard Grim let out one of his infamous yelps.
“Fgnaaaa!”
You sighed and set your broom aside before turning to the furball.
“Grim, what’s wron-“ You stopped your sentence midway as you saw the mirror began to glow brightly.
“Grim, what did you do?!” You frantically asked the furball.
“I didn’t do anything! The Mirror glowed on its own!” Grim responded as the mirror started to shake slightly, the two of you slowly backed away from the mirror.
And all of a sudden, three figures came flying out of the mirror, you and Grim managed to quickly dodge away before the figures hit you. The figures hit the ground and groans of pain can be heard.
“Goofy… What did you touch?” A voice asked from the pile.
“Gawrsh, I don’t know, all I did was walk near this Mirror-” Another voice replied, but was cut off by a third voice.
“It’s always Goofy who gets us in these situations.” The figures began to slowly get up.
You and Grim were still staring at them in shock, your minds were trying to figure out what had possibly happened. After hearing what the second voice had said, you were slightly convinced that it wasn’t Grim who messed up this time.
Yet, you weren’t sure what to think of these figures, after all, you didn’t know if they were friends or enemies.
The figures then slowly stood up and brushed themselves off with their backs facing you, as they did so, you managed to get a good look at them. It did give you quite the shock when you realized they were quite an odd bunch. Standing in front of you was a boy, a duck and a tall figure? Your hands immediately went to shield Grim, you weren’t taking any chances, especially with such an odd bunch.
“I think we should really ask Yen Sid about that mirror…” The boy said as he rubbed his head. The trio continued to bicker for a little before realizing that they weren’t alone in the room. The trio immediately ceased their chatter as they slowly turned their heads to face you.
You gulped a little as they did so, you couldn’t get any words out of your mouth as you were afraid of what their next course of action was, your brain was already silently working out possible escape plans if they happened to be enemies.
Grim noticed that you’ve frozen up and came to your aid in asking the strangers questions.
“Yanno, who are you guys? And what’re you doing here?” Grim said, emerging from your shielding hands.
“Woah… A talking cat!” The boy exclaimed as he saw the furball. Grim immediately ticked by hearing his comment.
“How dare you? I am not a cat! Fgnaaaaaa!” Grim said and used his signature fire magic on the figures. As he did so, the figures managed to dodge out of the way… Well, except the duck. The fire magic hit the duck and caused his butt to catch on fire.
The duck immediately runs around the chamber, screaming incoherently, like a madman. Your eyes widen at the sight as Grim only smirks at his ‘accomplishment’.
“Donald! Wait! I’ll put out the fire!” Said the boy as he summoned a large key of sorts in his hands and pointed the key towards the duck. The key glowed as a splash of water was then thrown towards the duck from said key. You were amazed at this, never had you seen this key of sorts, let alone the magic that was used to put out the fire.
“Thank you Sora… NOW! YOU!” After thanking the boy, the duck immediately faced you, pointing his finger towards Grim.
“Fgnaaaa!” Grim immediately jumped to action, but, before he could do anything, you had stopped him.
“Grim, stop.” You said and picked him up into your arms once again, securing him in his place.
“I’m sorry, Grim’s like this sometimes.” You apologized to the figures, the boy immediately shook his head.
“No, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have called your familiar a cat.” The boy apologized in return.
"No, it's fine." You said with a smile and petted Grim's head in hopes of calming the furball down. "So, what brings the three of you to Night Raven College?" You asked the trio.
"College?" They asked you in return, shocking you slightly.
"Why, yes, Night Raven College, a prestigious magic school in Twisted Wonderland." You continued your statement.
"Twisted Wonderland?" They asked you once again, making you stare at them with widened eyes. How could they not know the place, let alone the world that they were in?
Then, it hit you, what if they weren’t from here? What if they were like you, from another world and they have no memory of their home world? That would explain the unusual magic that the boy had just used..
“I assume you are all not from here then?” You questioned and the trio replied to you with shaking heads. You nodded in return, looks like your theory was correct, they weren’t from Twisted Wonderland.
“Well, what are your names then?” You asked the trio.
“I’m Sora! And these are my friends, Donald and Goofy!” The boy introduced himself and his friends to you. You smiled and nodded.
“Nice to meet you Sora, my name is (Y/N).” You introduced yourself.
“And I am The Great Grim! The greatest mage that has ever graced your eyes! Be grateful!” Grim said proudly from your shoulders, you shook your head and knocked the furball’s head lightly.
“And this is Grim.” You said to Sora. The latter just nodded and smiled at you.
“Nice to meet you all.” Sora said, bowing slightly.-
“Same goes to you and welcome to Night Raven College.” You smiled in return. “Now, let’s head out to find the headmaster, maybe he has a way to send you guys back to your home world.” You said and the four of you walked out of the mirror chamber and headed towards the headmaster’s office.
Along the way to the headmaster’s office, you had to pass through mainstreet as it was the fastest route from the Mirror Chamber to the office. As you passed through, you had taken it upon yourself to introduce Night Raven College to the newcomers.
“There are a total of 7 main dormitories at Night Raven College. Each dormitory was modelled after one of the Great 7.” You said as you reached the statues of the Great 7. You then started to introduce every dormitory that Night Raven College had offered on its campus.
You told them about the set of 810 rules that Heartslabyul had to follow, the rough fights and high ego of Savanaclaw, the hard work of members in Mostro Lounge in Octavinelle, the chaotic everyday scenarios of Scarabia, the advanced technology of Ignihyde and the mysterious aura of Diasomnia.
“The Mirror of Darkness will not only determine which dormitory a student will be staying at based on their souls, it will also determine whether or not you are to be enrolled at Night Raven College as well.” You ended your small little introduction of the dormitories. “Of course, the Mirror of Darkness is the same mirror that transported you guys here, maybe you guys have the traits of being a student here.” You added with a small laugh.
“Gawrsh, all these dormitories seem so different from each other and so unique!” Goofy said in awe.
“They’re all so interesting! Each dormitory was based on different aspects of different legends.” Sora nodded as he continued to look at the statues of the Great 7.
“That’s great and all, but, I have one question.” Said Donald. “Why do you only have statues of villains?”
“Now that you mention it Donald, yeah! All these dormitories are based on the villains that we fought, especially her.” Sora said as he pointed towards the statue of the Witch of Thorns. You and Grim shared a look of confusion.
“What do you mean by villains?” Grim asked.
“More importantly, you’ve met with the Great 7?” You added on.
“Yes, but they’re not as magnificent and great as you described them to be.” Goofy said, making you and Grim tilt your heads in confusion.
“What do you mean?” You asked. The trio shared a few glances between each other before nodding their heads together.
“You see, in our world, these 7 legends of yours, are villains.” Your eyes widen at Sora’s words.
“So you’re saying that the Great 7 exist in your world?” Grim questioned the trio.
“A-Hyuck! That’s correct!” Goofy said. Sora then began to tell you all about his, Goofy’s and Donald’s adventures, how they traveled between worlds, ridding them of the Darkness that once inhabited in said worlds and restoring Light in them, how they met with different allies to aid them in battle as well as different enemies who tried to interrupt their plans.
“In our world, these legends will do anything to get their desires. The Witch of Thorns, or as we may call her as Maleficent, has even used a magic called darkness to achieve her goals as she leads all these other legends.” Sora said. “And their goals are usually evil.” You nodded slightly after hearing Sora’s adventures with his friends. Truth be told, you were introduced to a new side of the Great 7. Ever since you arrived at Twisted Wonderland, you were given the impression where the Great 7 were these all-powerful beings that everyone absolutely respected and adored.
“But, that shows that they work hard and are willing to do anything to get their goals done though.” You said. “We can’t just focus on the content of their goals and not their hard work.”
“Well, when you put it that way-” Donald started, but he was cut off by shouts and yells of students running past the 5 of you.
“Huh?” You questioned as you watched the panicking and chaotic students.
“(Y/N)! Grim! There you are!” A familiar voice yelled out your names from afar. The 5 of you turned your heads to the source of the voice. Running towards you were two of your best friends, Ace and Deuce. The two slowed down their running as they approached you.
“Ace? Deuce? What’s going on?” You asked the breathless boys.
“There are these black, dark creatures roaming around campus and they’re attacking the other students!” Ace panted out. “Epel, Jack, Sebek and our upperclassmen are fighting them right now and they sent us to get you.” Deuce added on. Sora and his friends shared worried glances as they heard Ace’s description of the creatures.
“But, why find us? Where’s the headmaster?” You asked the Heartslabyul duo.
“He’s busy evacuating some of the students as we speak.” Deuce said as his eyes shifted their focus to the trio that you were just talking with. “Who are you guys?” Deuce asked the trio, but Sora, Donald and Goofy were too deep in thought to answer.
“Do you think it’s them?” Goofy asked his friends.
“The description matches them perfectly.” Donald replied.
“Maybe. We have to check.” Sora concluded. The trio nodded and turned to face the two Heartslabyul dorm members.
“Can you lead us to these creatures?” Sora asked Ace and Deuce, his, Goofy’s and Donald’s faces showed grim and serious looks. You were slightly taken aback, even though you only knew them for a little bit, you could tell that something wrong is happening right now. Deuce and Ace looked at each other before nodding and nudging you guys to follow them.
After running a while, you guys arrived at the field. Magic spells were flying from everywhere! The critters that Ace and Deuce had described were littered all across the field as well. You held Grim closer to you and took a step back upon seeing this, never have you ever seen anything this chaotic. Epel, Sebek and Jack were in the midst of this chaos, trying to fend off these creatures.
“Epel! Jack! Sebek!” You yelled towards them. The three first years heard you and immediately turned to look at you.
“(Y/N)!!” They said, throwing off the creatures and rushed over to you. You could tell that they had tried their best in fending off the creatures as they were tired and out of breath.
“These things… There’s… Too many of them.” Epel panted out as Jack and Sebek furiously nodded their heads. You took a look around the chaotic field once again.
“W-What are those?” You stuttered.
“I knew it, it was them after all.” Sora said. You and Grim were puzzled when you heard that.
“Sora? You know what these creatures are?” Grim asked the boy.
“Yes, they’re called Heartless.” Sora said. “Their goal is to seek and consume hearts as well as seek darkness to overthrow the Realm of Light.”
“Which means, they’re bad guys.” Donald said and Sora nodded.
“But, why are they here?” You asked.
“We’re not sure, Heartless tend to linger everywhere.” Sora answered.
“And right now, our job is to stop them.” Goofy said.
“How do we do that?” Ace asked. Sora only smiled and summoned his key-like weapon.
“Just hit them with magic, they should disappear after doing so.” Sora said and lounged at a Heartless, the boy then swung his blade at the creature, making the creature disappear in a puff of darkness.
“See?” Sora said. Ace and Deuce simply nodded.
“Well, Deuce, looks like your cauldron magic is gonna become useful.” Ace said to Deuce with a smirk.
“And for once, your wind magic is used for good.” Deuce retorted. You and Grim could only roll your eyes at their antics.
“Save your love-bickering for later you two yanno?” Grim said and you, Sora, Goofy and Donald snickered. Epel, Jack and Sebek were trying their best to not laugh as well. Ace and Deuce immediately turned their heads to face Grim.
“Why you little-” They started but you cut them off.
“Guys, I think we should focus on clearing these creatures first, save the bicker for later.” You said and they only pouted and huffed.
“Hmph, fine.” The two Heartslabyul members said.
“Now, let’s go kick some Heartless butts!” You said and the others cheered along you. After your little cheer, the 10 of you charged together into the battlefield between mages and Heartlesses.
You all worked hand-in-hand in vanquishing these creatures with Sora, Donald and Goofy leading the way as you guys backed them up. Your group had magic flying out in all directions, hitting the Heartless that once surrounded you and making them vanish into puffs of darkness. The boys always kept their magic pens at the ready, firing at each and every Heartless they encountered and with your clear instructions, they were able to shoot clear shots at the creatures. With this teamwork between the 10 of you, it didn't take too much time for you guys to rid the field of its newcomers.
Once Sora had swung his weapon at the last Heartless, you guys all jumped with joy, wide and bright smiles plastered on your faces.
"We did it!" You cheered with your friends. Sora, Donald and Goofy joined in on the cheer.
“Great job everyone!” Sora said and you all just smiled in return.
“Hmm, yes, excellent job indeed.” A new voice piped up from behind you. You and your friends immediately turned your heads to face the source of the voice.
"Headmaster!" You and your friends yelled out as you saw the Headmaster standing behind
"Such teamwork from you all, I am truly touched…" The Headmaster said, wiping a tear away from his eyes. You and your friends deadpanned at the sight. You heard someone clear their throat and turned to see Sora, Donald and Goofy staring at you with confusion plastered on their faces. Only then did you remember that you had wanted to find the Headmaster in order to find a way home for them.
“Ah, Headmaster Crowley. I was just looking for you.” You spoke, catching the attention of the headmaster.
“Hmm? What is it (L/N)-san?” The headmaster replied.
“You see, these three came to our world through one of the mirrors in the Mirror Chamber.” You said and gestured to the trio. “We were searching for you to see if you knew a way for them to go back.”
Crowley then took a look at the trio, inspecting them. His eyes then eventually landed on Sora’s weapon, as he did though, his eyes widened in amazement.
“My, is that…” Crowley paused for a moment. “Is that a keyblade that you’re wielding there?” The headmaster asked, pointing towards the weapon in Sora’s hands.
“A key what now?” Ace asked.
“A keyblade is a weapon that can only be wielded by certain chosen individuals who are strong of heart. They are commonly used to fight off darkness as well as unlock any lock in the world. These blades are imbued with magic as well.” Crowley explained. “It is certainly a rare sight to see one, let alone seeing a child wield such a powerful weapon.” Crowley smiled towards Sora.
“Ah… Thank you?” Sora said nervously, slightly tightening his clutch on his keyblade.
“No need to be afraid. I will not try to steal your keyblade, after all, I have no use for that weapon.” Crowley said with a reassuring smile to Sora.
“Ah, well, thank you.” Sora replied whilst dismissing his keyblade.
“Now, I believe we can find a way home for you, please follow me back to the Mirror Chamber.” Crowley said and turned to walk towards the Mirror Chamber. You gave Sora and his friends a smile and started trailing behind the headmaster back to the Mirror Chamber along with them and your friends.
When you all arrived, Crowley told Sora to step in front of the mirror and asked him to think about his home planet. Sora did as he was told, shortly after, the mirror glowed a bright white colour, engulfing the Chamber with light. As the light faded, you could see that there are sandy beaches on the other side of the mirror.
“Destiny Islands!” Sora said out loud.
“Well, step through the portal and you’ll be home.” Crowley said to the trio. “I have to go now, do help me to give Yen Sid my greetings.” Crowley continued and walked out of the Mirror Chamber. Sora, Donald and Goofy were just staring blankly at his leaving figure.
“He knew Yen Sid??” Donald asked.
“I didn’t know either, in fact, Yen Sid has never mentioned him.” Sora replied and turned to face you and your friends.
“Well, I guess this is goodbye, it was nice meeting you guys!” Sora said.
“Who knew that we had different opinions on certain stuff.” Donald continued.
“A-Hyuck! Yea! It’s really nice to learn that we all have our own opinions on the Great 7.” Goofy said with a smile.
“It was lovely to meet you guys as well.” You smiled at Sora, Donald and Goofy. “Thank you for your help in defeating those creatures.” You bowed slightly to them.
“It’s no problem, after all, it was our duty to do so.” Sora said, rubbing the back of his head.
“Well, we wish you the best.” You said, waving a little.
“Feel free to drop by anytime!” Grim added on.
“Thank you.” Sora said as he, Donald and Goofy turned to face the mirror.
“May your heart be your guiding key.” The trio said as they stepped into the mirror, rejoining their friends in their own world.
~Bonus~
During the fight against the Heartless, Ace at one point got competitive against Donald.
Donald was clearly doing better at vanquishing the Heartless, so the duck taunted the Heartslabyul first-year
Ace got all angry and frustrated, due to the taunt and frustration from vanquishing the Heartless. He let his frustration get to him and yelled out: “BUT YOU’RE JUST A DUCK!”
“A duck?! WHY YOU LITTLE-” insert angry Donald noises here
It took you, Grim, Sora, Goofy, Deuce, Epel, Jack and Sebek to stop the fight between the Heartlabyul dorm member and the duck.
Oh don’t worry though, the two got a good earful from you, so all is well.

Spelljammer Reveal Trippy New Vid, Talk ‘Abyssal Trip’
~Doomed & Stoned Debuts~
Interview by Billy Goate
Tumblr media
Cover Art by Aaron Cahill
Our week of big interviews continues as we meet up with the ethereal doom outfit from Stockholm SPELLJAMMER and premiere a new music video, from their just released second LP, dropped only weeks ago on RidingEasy Records and now the number one album on the Doom Charts.
'Abyssal Trip' (2021) is an enthralling listen from edge to center, with lavish textures, deep thematic content, and unforgettably emotive atmosphere that will stick with you for life. Enjoy it as you read the revealing conversation with Niklas Olsson (guitar, vox) and Robert Sörling (guitar) that follows as we unpack their steller new spin, talk nerdy gear shit, and contemplate humanity's fate.
And now, Doomed & Stoned is pleased to bring you the world premiere of the brand new video for that epic third track, "Among The Holy."
Give ear...
Spelljammer - Among The Holy (music video)
You guys have been a band now for damn near 15 years, maybe longer. Most bands don't make it past two years! What is the "key" to the band staying together for so long and continuing to find inspiration for creating new music?
Rob: I don’t think it’s been 15 years just yet but we are getting there, haha. None the less - that’s a really interesting question! Nik and I started the band much because we share the same taste in music, film and, well, art in general. I think that's the core keeping it all together. Also, there have been a few constellations of band members over the years, all with their own dynamic. I think these kinds of changes, and the new directions of the music because of that, is part of the inspiration. Maybe another reason is that we all live in different cities and because of that sometimes a lot of time passes between rehearsals, writing sessions and such, making us always craving for new Spelljammer jams and songs.
Nik: The craving yes. And another reason I think is the fact that we’ve never really been in a rush to get anywhere. Anything Spelljammer, the music included, takes time. If we had been set on making it, this thing probably would have fallen apart a long time ago.
Abyssal Trip by Spelljammer
How did the theme for Abyssal Trip originate?
Nik: I have always been more drawn to the feelings or emotions you get from a riff or piece of music than to any theme of a lyric. But I would say that any themes came in at the lyrics state, which is at the end of the process. But the themes aren’t that specific to any of the albums. I think I cast a pretty wide net in the beginning and stuck to it. For the next album perhaps we will venture more into unchartered waters. We’ll see.
What fascinates you about the Great Abyss of the ocean?
Nik: I totally get that the word abyss conjures up images of ocean trenches and, yes, the ocean is a fascinating and to a large extent undiscovered place. However, when I wrote that I wasn’t necessarily thinking of the ocean but more the abyss of our own minds. But I think it’s a word that evokes many things, like despair and doom, and it is of course totally open to interpretation.
Is mankind doomed or do we have time to correct our course?
Nik: I’m not as pessimistic of a person as the lyrics may suggest. I think we will be here on earth for a long time. Mankind is clever (perhaps too clever for her own good) even if there are a lot of people hell-bent on trying to screw up everything for everybody else.
Rob: Yes, and considering how ignorant and careless (some) people are acting during this pandemic, at least over here, makes you wonder if there’s any hope at all.
Nik: People are the worst. Ultimately, though, none of it matters because we’re all doomed.
Tumblr media
Have you guys seen any good movies/documentaries or read any good books lately that inspired you or otherwise challenged your thinking about life, the present, or the future?
Rob: I can’t say that I’ve seen or read anything recently that challenged me significantly, I guess I’m getting too old to be that overwhelmed haha. The film A Ghost Story though was kind of cool though because it was different, slow and weird (in a good way), and for me it’s always inspiring to read/see/hear something that makes you think, "Man, I wish I had come up with that idea”.
Nik: Absolutely! Punch Drunk Love, Moon, and Office Space are definitely movies like that. I have watched so many movies and series through this pandemic and I can’t remember any of them right now. But I did just notice that there is a season 3 of Loudermilk on HBO! If you haven’t already, see it! I’m currently reading "Homeward Bound, The Life of Paul Simon” by Peter Ames Carlin. It’s a good read about one of my favorite musicians.
For recording this album, what kind of gear did you use and what production/engineering considerations did you have to take into account?
Rob: Since we did a remote recording in the countryside we had to use whatever stuff that we could fit into a couple of cars. I have a couple of old audio interfaces that I linked for a total of 16 channels. I also have a small collection of mics (nothing fancy) and we used them all and the rest was borrowed. We set up the drums in the living room and put the guitar and bass rigs as far away as we could (the adjacent rooms) to avoid bleed and just focused on getting the rhythm tracks done. The goal was to get us all in the same room and to catch the vibe from a relaxed rehearsal kind of situation. The bass rig used was a Orange Terror Bass and an Ampeg SVT 810 and the guitar was tracked through a Reval Mark I and/or Orange TH-100 and a Orange PPC 412. Of course there’s always some unforeseen problem lurking and this time it was the electricity in the old country house.
Nik: I don’t use many effects, just a fuzz. For this one I used a Supercollider from Earthbound Audio. It is exactly what the name suggests. That’s all you need really.
The album cover is amazing! It reminds me, in some strange way, of the creature in the old B-movie Robot Monster (1953). What's the story behind the artwork?
Nik: It definitely has a B-movie vibe that I really like. I’m afraid I can’t really tell you much about it other than the artist name is Aaron Cahill and you can find his stuff on Instagram under the name nghbrs.
I filmed your first US appearance at Psycho Las Vegas in 2016. Fans want to know: do you have ambitions of returning to North America once the world sorts out this pandemic?
Rob: Yes, that’s our first and only US appearance so far and we wouldn’t mind at all returning to Vegas or any other part of the US. For now it’s really hard making any plans at all. In fact, you would think that this kind of isolation would enhance creativity, and maybe for some it does, but for us it’s actually been the most unproductive period so far for Spelljammer. So I’m hoping that by the time this thing blows over we get the inspiration back both for writing/recording new music, and in time hopefully revisiting the US!
Nik: I agree, playing at Psycho Las Vegas was a blast. I hope we get another opportunity to come back some day.

Some Buzz
“The vastness of everything is something that I think about a lot,” says Spelljammer bassist/vocalist Niklas Olsson. And it certainly shows in both the expansive, sludgy sounds and contemplative lyrics of the Stockholm, Sweden based trio. Following a 5-year break between their previous album, Ancient of Days — perhaps fittingly spent pondering said vastness — Spelljammer is back with an album that perfectly bridges the band’s earlier desert rock leanings and their later massive, slow-burning riffs.
'Abyssal Trip' (note: carefully reread that album title) takes its moniker from the perpetually dark, cold, oxygen-free zone at the bottom of the ocean. The 6-song, 44-minute album fittingly embodies that bleak realm with rumbling, oozing guitars intercut with dramatic melodic interludes. The songs take their time to unfurl, making them even more hypnotic. Likewise, the lyrics take a poetic approach to establishing the sonic scenery.
“The lyrical themes we address, like the ultimate doom of man, and the search and longing for new and better worlds, are still there,” Olsson says. “The concept of something undiscovered out there in vast emptiness is pretty much always present.”
Tumblr media
The recording process for Abyssal Trip differs from previous releases in that the band — guitarist Robert Sörling, drummer Jonatan Rimsbo and Olsson — opted to capture the performances while holed up in the mental bathysphere of a house in the countryside near Stockholm. “The songs benefitted from the relaxed environment of being away from everything,” Olsson explains. Indeed, the album sounds confident and meticulously arranged, afforded by the band’s isolation. Sörling mixed the album and it was mastered by Monolord drummer Esben Willems at Berserk Audio.
Album opener “Bellwether” begins dramatically with a very slow, nearly minute-long fade in of rumbling distortion setting the stage for heavily distorted bass and guitar plucking out the lugubrious riff for another minute and a half before the drums begin, and likewise equally as long before vocals gurgle to the surface. “Lake” abruptly shifts gears, opening with an unusually fast gallop before rupturing into thundering doom that soon drops into a clean-tone Middle Eastern melodic breakdown.
The title track serves as the album centerpiece, opening with ominous film dialogue about blood sacrifice that launches into pummeling, detuned guitars rumbling over gut-punching drums and howling vocals hearkening to the proto-sludge of Pink Floyd’s “The Nile Song.” The dynamic relents briefly for a slow building clean guitar melody before all instruments lock into a jerking riff topped off by a trilling Iommi style lead. Throughout, Abyssal Trip is, just like its title suggests, an epic tour through desolate zones which yields much to discover.

Richard Newsome on always keeping your clothes on and much more
Richard Newsome is the author of the Archer Legacy; The Billionaire's Curse, The Emerald Casket and The Mask of Destiny.
In researching the trilogy, Richard traveled to England, India, France, Italy, and Greece, visiting many of the historical sites featured in the books. Richard Newsome’s debut novel, The Billionaire's Curse received rave reviews and has been sold to publishers in the US, Canada, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and Turkey.
Richard was born in a modest-sized town in the north island of New Zealand, a little place called Wanganui on a great roiling river, his family migrated to Queensland’s Gold Coast, Australia when he was two and a half.
After finishing high school Richard deferred going to university to take up a journalism cadetship on the local newspaper, the Gold Coast Bulletin. After seven years working on various newspapers and with ABC TV and radio, Richard went to university to study economics. After graduating with first class honours he secured a job in Boston in the United States with an international strategy firm. After which Richard returned to Australia and moved to Sydney, where he moved into media, by then he was married and had started a family. In an attempt to bore his children to sleep at night, he started making up a story, which would eventually provide the basis for his Billionaire’s series of books. Richard now lives in Brisbane with his wife and three children.
What are one to three books that have greatly influenced your life?
There are many but one that stands out was written by William Peter Blatty, the author or The Exorcist.
The books is Which Way to Mecca, Jack? — it’s a memoir of the author growing up Lebanese in New York, and then moving to Beirut as a US Government information officer. It’s an insider’s outsider account of life in a familiar yet foreign land. I picked it up in the second-hand book shop around the corner from where my dad worked because the cover intrigued me.
It cost maybe 40 cents but it opened my then 12-year-old’s eyes to a large and complex world, well beyond the Gold Coast of the 1970s where I grew up. I’m sure most of the material flew straight over my innocent head, but the author had a turn of phrase that I found intriguing. It was my first experience of ‘grown up’ books.
What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last six months (or in recent memory)?
A new Spirax A4 Notebook No. 810 ($5.49 from Officeworks). It was for my next book. I hand write the first draft of all my books, and this is my go-to notebook. The paper is just right for writing in pencil (HB 0.7mm Pentel leads for my mechanical pencil, a Lamy Scribble 0.7mm). Scratch any writer and you’ll find a frustrated stationer.
How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
I have a miserably poor attention span for any activity that does not completely entrance me within the first 30 seconds. This has ruled out several attempts at serious business, which is typified by countless hours of donkey work to actually get anything done. Luckily, this psychological tendency towards mind-wandering is ideal for story writing. If I get bored I just have to make the story more interesting. Works for me, works for the reader.
Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?
I was bemoaning the sales figures for one of my books to a friend and the woeful lot of the author when his young daughter piped up with, ‘Just write better.’ That is my new life motto.
What is one of the best investment in a writing resource you’ve ever made?
My Lamy Scribble 0.7mm mechanical pencil. I bought it in New Zealand about 15 years ago and have written about 700,000 words with it.
Best $75 I’ve ever spent.
What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
I’m not sure it’s an unusual habit, but I like to get up at 5.30am and sit on the back deck with the first coffee of the morning and listen to the birds greet the sun while I gather my thoughts for the day ahead. Solitary time is the best time.
In the last five years, what new belief, behaviour, or habit has most improved your life?
The knowledge that resting on your laurels only leads to soreness and blood clots. It’s important to press on to new and interesting challenges.
What advice would you give to a smart, driven aspiring author? What advice should they ignore?
The best advice I ever received as a beginning writer was, ‘Write it out.’ Finish the manuscript. You can plan until the end of time, but unless you actually complete the thing it doesn't count a damn.
What are bad recommendations for aspiring authors, that you hear in your often?
‘Write what you know’. How boring is that! Find out new and interesting stuff and write about that.
In the last five years, what have you become better at saying no to (distractions, invitations, etc.)?
I seldom say no to anything. I’m terminally polite.
What marketing tactics should authors avoid?
Always keep you clothes on.
What new realizations and/or approaches helped you achieve your goals?
That time is going to pass anyway. Life’s clock ticks on whatever you choose to do, so you may as well choose to get stuff done. Is there any more pathetic line in movie history that ‘I coulda been a contender’ from On The Waterfront? Don't be that guy.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?
A cup of black Irish breakfast tea (no sugar) and a walk by the river at dusk.
Any other tips?
Once you get published, don’t be an ass.

So I finished watching MLP Season 8 and...
….it´s actually not bad.
Yeah, I´m the first to admit I have to eat my words and agree the show hasn´t really gone down as much as I thought after the movie. I still hate it but the show itself remains good. Yes, there are more than a few mediocre or outright horrible episodes there but the good ones more than compensate.
I do believe that Dubuc is kinda out of her element on ponies, which may explain her use for an entire new cast aside from hasbro´s orders. The friendship school thing is done better than I though tough I still think is kinda stupid at moments.
Overall the balance is...fine.
I was expecting worse but it was an okay season.
I do hate that they explicitly mention the events of the movie but they´re STILL refusing to acknowledge the Equestria Girls ones. Come on Mccarty, stop being embarrassed ot the BETTER story!
Below the cut is my personal opinions of each episode with a dose of sarcasm if u want to read them but for the season as a whole I´ll give a 7/10 it was regular to me.
701-702:  “Girls, I want you all to work on my new school!”
“We have lives, Twilight”
ROLL CREDITS
So this wasn´t bad. I though Twilight was gonna be more selfish but she actually makes some fair points and owns to her mistakes here. What´s funny is that she doesn't act this way the rest of the season…
I still think the students are kinda lame but I like how they interact with each other and the episode itself was well handled.
Still, Twilight isn't perfect either since she refuses to have zebras or buffaloes or talking cats on her school. Hell, there aren´t even crystal ponies so she´s almost as bad the racist snape guy.
Kinda standard but good episodes.
7/10
703: “So sis, when are you gonna leave?”
“The town?”
“The show…”
I said it once, I´ll said it again, Maud overstayed her welcome. She´s no longer funny and feels like a creator pet by now.
That said the episode itself is actually really good.
Confalone GETS pinkie and gives he an actual character and this was honestly better handled that with Twilight.
Hell for a second I thought Pinkie was gonna have to deal with her own since her meeting with the guy has all the elements of a meet cute scene =P
I could live without the stupid opening scene but it seems even Pinkie realized Maud was being offensive to her audience there…
A really fun Pinkie episode to add to the pile
8/10
804 “thank you for calling me, Rarity. I can surely help you with all my sewing knowledge”
“Oh for this episode I´ll need you to forget about all that, darling and be completely useless”
So yeah, this was a waste of time.
So the mane six can´t help Rarity with her store but have plenty of time to go yell at Fluttershy?
And if Rarity hates the ponies of Saddle Row so much why does she enve sells them clothes?
I actually hate how they´re all portrayed cause they´re feeding the stereotype that people into fashion are shallow and petty and the whole point of Rarity´s character was to subvert that!
I only laughed at one joke in the whole episode.
So yeah another terrible fluttershy episode to add to the pile
2/10
805 The real reason Rainbow flies so fast...to escape her gay for applejack thoughts.
So a perfectly okay episode.
In other seasons it would have gone unnoticed but in this one it stands out for having solid writing.
It was fun and rainbow was very likeable here since she honestly seemed more concern about the grannies than anything.
It feels a bit stretched out but this is normal for a pony episode.
I do hope she kicks Applejack's behind the second she came back to town though…
A fun Rainbow episode.
7/10
806 “Girls, while you wasted time trying to help that kid with divorced parents I acciBURPddentally destroyed a scared statue so we better run, you bastards!” then Twilight pulls a rick an actually leaves them behind =P
SO yeah a complete waste of time.
I understand the point but it doesn't work for me since it seems like they made the problem way too simple.
I also dislike the hippogriffs on principle since i find I them really lame characters so…
Oh and this episode has the WORST song in the entire show. Hell is not even a song, is just words with music behind it.
So yeah, pretty lame episode.
2/10
807 “See Twilight, Sunset would have just told me things straight to my face! Then try to stab me in the back but the point remains…”
I already talked about this back when it aired and yeah, my opinion hasn't changed.
This isn´t a Celestia episode, is another of Twilight´s poorly made panic attacks ones.
We learned absolutely nothing about Celestia, she learns nothing at all and we wasted twenty minutes of our lives.
For a fan of the character, waiting nine years for this is nothing but an insult.
The saddest thing is knowing that the show will end without having a proper celestia episode.
So yeah, a total waste of time with only the adorable sunbutt to save some face
4/10
808 “You noticed all the wanted posters for you on the way here, Starlight?”
“No, actually not”
“yeah me neither, good thing you´re friends with a princess…”
Really, how come Starlight is NOT a wanted criminal? The episode could have dealt with her hometown disowning her but nope, is just a kinda lame sitcom situation.
Hell, it would have been better if we´re told the parents hooked up and now Starlight and Sunburst feel all kind of awkard but nope.
i suppose there´s like a moral lesson in here but the episode was so dull I don't even remember it.
It could have been a better story but it amounts to nothing.
3/10
809 “And to think this all started over a parking lot…”
“you don´t even need the parking lot, Rainbow!”
THAT would have been a better premise…
So yeah, remember season 1? Cool ,cause this is the exact same episode. Nothing new added and nothing interesting happens.
Go watch the leaf episode instead, is way better.
3/10
810 “Wait, Big Mac has a what now? How come nopony told me? Do I look like a jealous sister or something?”
“the shotgun isn't helping, AJ…”
Have they really interacted these two? I mean, don´t want a repeat of the same storyline. Infact, showing that Applejack and Sugar whatever get along well will be an interesting episode.
Far more interesting than this for sure.
I was bored the entire time and shut up, sweetie Belle. You'll be lucky to have Snips…
Another time waster.
2/10
811 “Spike, can´t you just masturbate like a regular teenager? I mean you have your own room now so it won´t be weird for me anymore…”
Again, remember season 2? Go watch that instead.
It even made more sense back then but now spike not knowing “how to dragon” has become a huge plot hole cause there´s absolutely no reason for him not to know these things so this entire conflict is pointless.
Oh and him having wings is something I don't really like.
Explain how he didn't have those during season 2 when he grew, hasbro! ANother lame Spike episode to the bad spike episodes pile.
2/10
812 “Girls, you rather go to a school where you dont´do any homework, play games all day, het to eat delicious food..actually I´m leaving too, school closed!”
So yeah do they do anything at Twilight school other than waste time? No wonder the CMC want to go there! Wasting time is their entire MO nowadays since they have their marks!
Prety standard episode, is honestly just to introduce the villain.
The only really fun thing is the “your mom” bit, I would have approved her out of that alone.
It´s okay, sadly can´t say more.
6/10
813 “Evil clones, what was I thinking? Dinosaurs, that´s a proper supervillain plan!”
MEH I mean it´s an okay episode but when you get to it is just repeating stuff from the first discord episode, nothing new. nothing gained.
That should be the motto of this season.
MEH
6/10
814 “Discord, what part of go to hell don´t you get?”
“The part where you forgot to tell me to stay there”
This episode is horrible!
What´s the moral lesson, be an asshole and get away with everything?
WHy the hell does Starlight apologizes? Why is HER problem that Discord feels bad? The idiot should take it on Twilight and she ahs a perfect reason not to let him in the school..Discord is an asshole! As this episode demonstrated!
Can he just...leave, please?
Worst episode of the season.
1/10
815 “Twilight, shouldn't we invite Zecora one of these days?”
“You wanna explain Kwanzaa to the viewers, Rainbow?”
ZZZZZZZZZ
Oh what? Oh yeah this episode.
Look I get the point and being objective there's nothing wrong with this episode but my god, tiw as boring!
Just the same bit repeated over and over and over and over…
Whatever, technically there's nothing wrong with it but I didn't like it.
6/10
816 “So mono means one and rail menas...no wait, wrong scam. Calls dismissed!”
“Slow down bro, so who´s the princess of friendship then?”
“The one with the eyepatch!”
“BLAST!”
So...a perfectly normal episode.
Again, this show always suffers from not having a b plot going on so the conflict get  a bit stretched but as an episode, it was well done.
Hey snape is right that Friendship IS a weapon in this universe, glad someone finally mentioned it.
There´s actually a good moral lesson about how no matter if the lessons are good if the methods are fraudulent which coming from Hasbro is the ultimate irony.
Flim Flam are kinda overdone at this point but it still works.
7/10
817 “Remember that time you left me in the desert with pinkie?”
“Oh sure, everything looks bad when you remember it…”
Actually a pretty good episode.
I mean the premise relies on twilight´s students being borderline sociopaths (guys, is not that complex of an idea, friends can disagree on things) but the episode itself it was really fun and the Raridash wa adorable.
I honestly liked it.
8/10
818 “I mean we could have get you a teacher and encouraged to get better through a montage but insulting you and hurting your feelings seemed like a better idea, pinkie”
Way to handle a problem, girls!
What part of this is supportive” pinkie? Your friends were assholes to you that made you feel bad so you stop bothering them and then come looking for you because is a problem for THEM?
There´s a better lesson about admitting you may not have the talent for something, which is a lesson that kids DO need to learn but since the problem is solved with a “who cares?” the moral lesson doesnt´work and nobody really learns anything here.
Who approved of this crap?
2/10
819 “I say someone must have  said a funny because your mother is in stitches hahaha! I´ll leave you to your grief, Starlight.”
Finally a good episode!
Actually an excellent one. Coupled with a catchy song and really good dialogue, my man Haber can make a really good episode when he wants.
I have zero complains this was the best episode of the season.
10/10
820 “That´s it I´m taking you to your parents or in its defect your lesbian aunts that cannot be seen in the show due to television censorship policies!”
I´m sorry but cootalo was a brat the entire episode in need of a good spanking.
Rainbow did absolutely nothing wrong and that gid set gogin around here is full of lies.
If anything she was a bit rash over the fact that yeah, the little girl she sees a sister suddenly is throwing her away...again, cause she did it with the maredowell thing also. Funny they didn´t mention it, probably to appease the fandom.
As an episode is nothing bad, Rainbow actually comes out great here so yeah, Scootaloo, you're grounded..as in put in a hole in the ground.
Good episode
8/10
821 “All me friend are long dead…”
“Yeah yeah, lovely. Fill this form here, big guy…”
What's wrong with Twilight this episode? Why is she such an insensitive idiot?
It was pretty clear the obvious solution was just giving him a classroom with no walls and guess what, that´s what she does alter on so what gives?
And why are SPike and SMoulder allowed to burns the school every day?
An dhow come Rockhoof has no job in “modern equestria”? there used to be plenty of things wanting to eat the ponies every week, did they disappear in between seasons or what?
Really stupid episode that only works by everybody bieng assholes to an actually nice guy.
2/10
822 “Look at the bright side Rainbow. We got replaced by a new cast but at least we didn't die horrible on the movie like the transformers did…”
grumble grumble this is actually a really good episode.
I mean I could argue they have already dome similar stuff but it make sense here. The tree of harmony finally gets some light on it and this actually helps make the students look less lame by giving them character so...yeah, it´s actually really good.
Damnit.
9/10
823 “Oh shoot we forgot to invite them to the school!”
“It's okay, Twilight forgot to invite like half of the country as well…”
grumble grumble another really good episode!
I honestly though this episode was gonna suck but it turns out to be one of the best.
It´s obviously a previously unaired episode that they managed to shove into here but is actually a really good so I have zero complains about it.
The kirin is actually really cute and I liked the song so…
9/10
824 “So kid have you seen stuart little?”
“No.”
“Then this whole thing is gonna be new for you…”
So yeah...as an episode is okay but I´l argue that even the target audience could saw this coming a mile away.
My only real problem is that Spike barely apologizes to TWilight despite hurting her so much. Why is he such a brat? Twilight is nothing but a loving and supportive sister to him, look at that opening scene, si so lovely an touching!
Why does the show keep treating Twilight caring for her sibling and treating him like an equal as a bad thing? She even offers to let him go and learn more about his culture, she is supporting and loving why do they keep treating her like she´s doing a bad thing? and again kind of a big plothole nowdays  with dragons going around Equestria with no problems.
Other than that is a fine episode.
7/10
825-826 “Since we´re stuck here where the little filly´s room?”
“There is no little filly´s room in tartarus…”
“NOOOOOOO!”
Really, who built this prison Barry allen? Give them a bucket at least .
Again...actually really good episodes.
The action was good, the stakes were high, while that poor manticore shouldn't be there I still like the good detail than monsters have been kept her since past seasons and than the mane six honestly don´t hold a grudge against them, hope there´s an actual redemption arc down the line and they don't just forget about them like with the other villains,
Speaking of that, Cozy is probably the best vilian on the entire show.Hell, she´s better than Thanos cause she doesn't have an stupid justification, she just want s POWAAAAA! And she´s damn adorable and effective, she almost won.
Still They missed a chance to say that the missing magic was going to the human world to tie things up with Equestria girls for once and who the hell delivers letters to tartarus anyways?
The finally more than makes up and gives almost everyone a chance to shine so I like it. The mane six were treated with a LOT more respect than in the damn movie that's for sure.
Good solid episodes.
8/10
So that´s season 8, is not that bad honestly.. Had they had a better focus it would be better. Continuity is still a bit of a mess and just saying past stuff doesn't count but hey they´re trying.
Now I have like 40 Equestria Girls episodes to catch up though…

Next, you can check out ALL my fic recs on this masterpage here, in case I missed any! It’s updated every time the third reblog of the post hits my dash! :)
Finally, I shall take this opportunity to share one of the two last sections I have collected on my offline document of the fluff fics :) (I’ll share the last one when someone unknowingly brings it up, LOL. ‘Cause I’m a jerk like that, LOL.)
You’re lucky that I LOVE SLOW BURN FICS, especially fluffy ones (I also have an angst slow burn list but I’ll save that for one of the MANY angst requests I got!) HERE WE ARE! This is byfar not all I have, but just currently all I have sorted so far! I have SO MANY and am still working through my bookmarks, LOL! Hope you enjoy!
LOVE CONFESSIONS / SLOW BURN / DEVELOPING REL.
New Year, New Beginning by DaisyFairy (T, 810 w. || New Year’s Eve, John POV, Post S4, Friends to Lovers) – New Year at a crime scene and John makes a decision.
Ex by Itsallfine (T, 1,248 w. || Love Confessions, Coming Out, Exes, First Kiss) – One night, in the midst of their post-case high and on the cusp of something more, John and Sherlock run into John’s ex. His ex-boyfriend.
There’s Always Three of Us by Itsallfine (T, 1,765 w. || Post-S4, Parentlock, Love Declarations, First Kiss, Anniversary, S4 Fix it Fic, Fluff) – Sherlock takes John and Rosie out to Angelo’s and gets a chance to correct the biggest mistake of his life.
Want by siennna (T, 1,806 w. || Fluff, Pining, First Kiss, POV Sherlock, Requited, Second Person POV) – When John speaks, you hear more than words. You hear the rise and fall of his tone, the comfortable quake of his laughter, the warm pauses of silence in between. When John laughs, there are stars glittering on his tongue and galaxies resting just behind his teeth, and you wish you could press your lips there and burrow into the warm sound. Part 6 of sienna’s favourites
The Marriage Proposal Negotiation by Goddess_of_the_Night (G, 2,161 w. || Dev. Rel., Possessive Sherlock, Insecure Sherlock, Fluff, First Kiss, Post Mary) – Sherlock hasn’t ever really done anything the traditional way, so of course it wouldn’t bother him to propose to John even though they’re not even dating. And the fact that John is already on a date with someone else when he decides to do it? Tedious.
Moonlight by ConsultingPurplePants (E, 2,213 w. || First Time, Scars, Camping, Sherlock’s Bum) – Sherlock is standing near the door, wearing, for what John thinks may be the first time in their acquaintance, jeans and a jumper. John drags his eyes away from the way the jeans cling to Sherlock’s just-muscled-enough legs to notice that Sherlock is wearing his own backpack, and is also carrying a collapsed tent. John’s jaw drops open. Is he about to go camping with Sherlock Holmes!?
The Case of the Made-Up Case by DoubleNegative (T, 2,394 || Fake Relationship, Clubbing, First Kiss, For Science) - Sherlock takes John to a club. For a “case.” Yes, John, a case. Part 1 of The (Secret) Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
No Strings Attached by Elster (G, 2,714 w. || Magical Realism, Fairy Tales, Love Confessions, Fae/Faeries) – To save John from being spirited away Under the Hill, Sherlock challenges the fairy queen to a fiddle contest.
What He’s Like by magikspell (E, 2,919 w. || Love Confessions, Fluff, First Time, Inexperienced Sherlock) – Realistic first time. They love each other so much.
Right Foot Red by Irrevocably_Sherlocked (E, 3,089 w. || First Time, Board Games, Frottage, Masturbation, Frottage, PWP) – …ok, it’s juvenile, but at least it’s a game where touching is allowed. And if something more were to happen, well, John can’t say he’d be too upset about that. “What are the rules of this game?” Sherlock asks, the disdain evident on the word ‘game’. “I spin, you do as I say.” John thinks he sees a slight widening of those pale grey eyes at that, just for a fraction of a second, before it is shut down. Oh, this is interesting, he thinks.
Affirmation by jamlockk (E, 3,096 w. || First Time, Dev. Rel., PWP, Love Declarations, Emotional Sherlock, Comforting John, Gross Fluff) – “Sunlight dappled John’s skin, casting a glow across his spreadeagled form as he dozed among the rumpled sheets. Sherlock knew the expression on his face was hopelessly soft but for once did not care about showing his true feelings so openly. He simply stood there, in the doorway, gazing at the impossibly beautiful man currently snuffling softly in his slumber.” Part 8 of All the ways we love
It Wasn’t Just the Mistletoe by Irrevocably_Sherlocked (E, 3,593 w. || Christmas Fluff, Mistletoe, First Kiss / Time, Frottage, Masturbation) – Sherlock and John just stood there, seemingly frozen. Sherlock was desperately trying to think of a way out of this. There was no way he could kiss John, even a small kiss, and not have him know immediately how he felt. Sherlock could lie, and fake and sham, but there was no way he could hide this.
Christmas at Holmes Cottage by johnlockedstarkid (G, 4,295 w. || Christmas, Fake Relationship, Love Confessions, Holmes Family, Pining, Kisses, Fluff, Allusions to Mystrade) – Sherlock doesn’t want to have to deal with his mother’s wishes for him to find a partner when he goes to visit them for Christmas, so asks John to pose as his boyfriend. Little does he know he’s not the only one who wishes that the relationship could be real.
Forty-four by jamlockk (E, 4,415 w. || John’s Birthday, Fluff, PWP) – John turns forty-four, gets some advice and the best birthday present he could’ve ever hoped for.
How Will I Know? by eragon19 (E, 4,895 w. || Pining, Love Confessions, POV Sherlock, Fluff, Sherlock’s Imagination, Papa Lestrade) – Here was the problem: Sherlock Holmes was completely and irrevocably in love with John Watson, and he had absolutely no idea how to tell him.
Sociopathy and Other Fibs by kinklock (M, 5,314 w. || 5+1, Miscommunication, Humour, Friends to Lovers, Post S3, Love Confessions) – Five times John called Sherlock out, and one time Sherlock returned the favour.
Tease You Till You Come by phoenix089 (E, 6,090 w. || First Time, Clueless Sherlock, Texting) – Initially, Sherlock was rather put out by John’s lack of presence on the case. But then he starts to recieve pictures, several of them, of an unexpected nature. The case is forgotten rather quickly after that.
Closeted by sussexbound (T, 6,115 w. || Love Confession, First Kiss, Games) – Sherlock and John get trapped in a closet while on a case. Some revelations are made while they play a game to pass the time. Part 1 of Intimacy
Naked by sussexbound (E, 6,166 w. || Fluff, Frottage, Love Declarations, First Time, Intimacy) – This is the sequel to Closeted and MUST be read. It’s so good! Sherlock is soft and clueless and John is just John. Part 2 of Intimacy
Onomatopoeia by aquabelacqua (M, 6,904 w. || First Time/Kiss, Frottage, Dirty Talk, Domestics, Word Kink) – Something is the matter with John. Sherlock is determined to figure out what it is. Mark his words.
What Meets the Eye by worldaccordingtofangirls (M, 8,251 w. || Amnesia, Fluff) – Amnesia is just another case to solve. Piece together unfamiliar faces, reconstruct the old identity, the lost reality. A challenge that Sherlock could even enjoy. He can read people like books. The man with the silver hair is his boss. The tottering old woman, his landlady. The girl with the worried look in her eyes…infatuated. And as for John Watson? His husband. Obviously.
The Thin Line by Odamaki (M, 10,809 w. || Virgin Sherlock, Awkwardness, Confessions, First Times, Anal) – John swallows. Keeps his eyes on Sherlock. Begs him not to ruin him.Sherlock leans forward over the witness box ever-so slightly, “I was distracted,” he informs the court, “by my partner, John Watson.”
Iris by slashscribe (E, 11,948 w. | Parentlock, Pining Sherlock, Post-S3) – Sherlock does his best to make John happy when John comes back to 221B with his new baby after the events of Season 3, but Sherlock has a track record of getting things wrong in this area. This story is an exploration of their gradual shift from friends to lovers, told from Sherlock’s perspective, full of a lot of pining and lack of emotional awareness.
Speaker for the Bees by antietamfalls (M, 14,649 w. || Deaf Sherlock, Friends to Lovers, First Kiss / Time, Fluff, Sign Language) – It isn’t always easy assisting a deaf detective. Luckily for John, they make a pretty good team.
A Silver Sixpence by doodle (E , 16,400 w. || LIVEJOURNAL || Fake Relationship, Fake Marriage, Case Fic, ) - John and Sherlock have to get married for a case, and learn some things about each other. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, though it’s on LJ.
At the Edge of Desire by philalethia (E, 16,375 w. || Post S3, Pining, Arse Worship, Humour, First Kiss / TIme, Sexual Fantasy, Awkwardness) – While helping John move back in to the flat, Sherlock discovers a strap-on among John’s things. He finds the discovery considerably difficult to move past.
The Effect of Memory by testosterone_tea (E, 6,430 || Praise Kink, First Kiss / Time, Fluff, Smut, Virgin Sherlock, Love Confessions, Confused Sherlock) – John has temporary amnesia coming off of anaesthesia after an operation and not only does he not recognize Sherlock, he starts flirting with him! After John recovers, he doesn’t remember the incident at all. But Sherlock does. Confusion ensues.
Tap by doctorcaseyholmes (G, 896w || Fluff, Morse Code) – Sherlock finds an unobtrusive way to let out his feelings for John.
A Need To Know Basis by mattsloved1 (G, 934 w. || Humour, Romance) – As the cab door shut firmly, the DI had yelled out they were to make an appearance at Scotland Yard the next day. It was while John watched London pass by that it happened.
BBCSH ‘How To Save A Life’ by tigersilver (T, 2,784 w. || First Kiss, Angsty Schmoop, Requited Love) – Pining, requited, and unabated spates of ‘first kiss’ fluff. Post Mary, AU, mildly cracky. John lays a smooch on Sherlock’s nape in passing. The world does that thing it does when it wobbles and Sherlock practically falls off his own pins. Part 1 of 'How To…’
A Bit of Indulgence by beltainefaerie (NR | 3,364 w. || Fake/Pretend Relationship, Developing Relationship, Love Declarations) - A case leads John and Sherlock to fake being boyfriends and John runs into an old acquaintance.
Once is Enough by Jominerva for inkandsoul (T, 3,030 w. || Love Confessions, Domestic Fluff, Whump) – Just as the earth rises to meet the sun at every mountain crest, John reaches out for Sherlock and takes his hand in his own.“Tell me it won’t end like this,” he says, blue eyes holding grey while he laces their fingers together. Sherlock lets out a shaky laugh and shakes his head. “I wish I could.”
A Lifetime Together by LondonGypsy (M, 8,886 w. || Tooth-Rotting Fluff, Falling in Love, Friends to Lovers, Slow Burn, Pining Idiots, Alternating POVs, Domestics, Retirement) – John and Sherlock falling in love.
The Newlywed Game: Johnlock Edition by patternofdefiance (E, 9,020 w. || Fake Relationship, Fake Marriage, Friends to Lovers, Humour, Romance, Smut, Case Fic, Self-Esteem Issues) – John and Sherlock pretend to be married in order to be contestants in a Newlywed Game. Of course it’s for a case. Of course it doesn’t stay that way. Part 8 of I Blame Tumblr

Twelfth Night by yourdykeinshiningarmor (E, 15,139 w. || Friends to Lovers, Fake Rel., Fluff and Angst, Mutual Pining) - John is invited to his aunt’s Twelfth Night ball. Sherlock offers to attend with him as a friendly face among strangers, but John’s family force him to address his true feelings for Sherlock. [[this one is cute]]
About Sleep and Coffee and the Existence of Fate by Atiki (E, 17,426 w. || Fluff, Marriage Proposal, Humour, 5+1) – Naturally, John was startled when suddenly the ultimate solution occurred to him: Marriage. This was, of course, a bit of a fundamental problem rather than an actual solution. One didn’t simply use the words “Sherlock” and “marriage” within the same sentence. Not even in a hypothetical context. Five times John kind of wanted to propose to Sherlock, and one time he didn’t have to.
Once More, With Feeling by cellard00rs (T, 21,178 w. || John’s Family, Fake Relationship, Romance, Fluff, Humour) – To put off his meddlesome, matchmaking mother, John convinces Sherlock to play the role of his significant other. Unparalleled awkwardness ensues.
The Norwood Love Builders by flawedamythyst (T, 47,798 w. || Fake Relationship, Slow Burn, Post TRF Angst) – Sherlock and John go undercover to solve the murder of Joanna Oldacre, but things are complicated by the many feelings John has been repressing in the wake of Sherlock’s faked death and return.
No Good Without You by textsandscones (T, 4021 w. || Case Fic, Busking, Violins, Fluff) – A diverting new case surrounding musicians and stolen instruments captures Sherlock’s attention, the consequences of which lead both detective and doctor to see one another in a different light. Part 1 of Prompt Fills
The Importance of Torn Papers by MyLittleCornerOfSherlock (G, 2427 w || Pre-Slash, Love Declarations, Fluff) – Little things make a big difference, even little notes of thanks. Small reminders to show he cares.
Laid Bare by esplanade (T, 6529 w. || Romance, Fluff, Pining, Angst) – “I suppose it comes as no surprise that I always rather detested grand romantic gestures. They struck me as unnecessary and contrived, feeble attempts at desperately holding together relationships, most of which should have been allowed to fall apart.”
Law of Reciprocals by thequeergiraffe (T, 4377 w. || Fluff, Angst) – “Law of Reciprocals, is it? You’ve saved my life enough times. I figure, turnabout’s fair play.” Sherlock finds ways to reciprocate his appreciation of John.
Pleasure to Burn by scullyseviltwin (E, 17,863 w. || Firefighter AU, Firefighter John / Arson Investigator Sherlock, Slow Burn, Pining, Case Fic-ish) – “If you’d kindly stop knocking about in there and destroying all of my evidence, it would be most appreciated!” John groaned and for a moment rested his head against the side of the truck. Of course he was the only captain left on the scene, which meant he would have to be the one to deal with the arson investigator.
A Life Well-Lived by Kate_Lear (E, 20,121 w. || Original Male Character, Sherlock Woos John, Jealous Sherlock, Reluctant Bi-John) – John got scared off men by an abusive past relationship. Sherlock has to try and woo him while not scaring him off with protective possessive rage.
“finally kiss the bloody idiot” by Salambo06 (E, 29,812 w. || Mutual Pining, Declarations of Love, First Kiss / Time, Angst, Misunderstandings, Fantasies POV John) – Inspired by a fic idea on tumblr : “John and Sherlock know the Yard has a pool going for when they’re finally going to get together. It’s been running forever, and it’s worth thousands of pounds. It’s all fun and games, hahaha, until they find out Lestrade is in dire financial straits (dog needs emergency surgery, he’s putting his kid through gymnastics training, I don’t know, something), and they decide to fake a relationship to win the pool for him. Sherlock figures out the day and way that Lestrade thinks it’s going to happen, and they act it out. It’s all for a good cause, fake relationship style, until it’s not.” Part 1 of The Pool
Hitting the Water at Sixty Miles an Hour by what_alchemy (E, 30,568 w. || Fake Rel., Roadtrips, Slow Burn) – “You love your mother, Sherlock?” John watched the muscles in Sherlock’s jaw jump. He nodded in one sharp jerk.“Then we’re going to her party and making her happy.” John let out a resigned sigh. “As a ruddy couple, you bastard.”
A Study In Auto-Signatures, Sniper Dolphins, and Sex Holidays by cwb (E, 32,690 w. || Case Fic, Post S3, Evil Mary, Dev. Rel., Honeymoon, Epistolary, Bottomlock, First Kiss / Time, Fluff, Secret Agents, BAMF!John) – John and Mary go on their sex holiday, and Sherlock is grumpy and pining about it. Part 1 of HOT DOLPHIN SEX
Bedtime Stories by Liketheriver (M, 34,388 w. || Emotional H/C, Romance, Angst & Humour, Bed Sharing, John First Person, TRF, John Whump) – John’s POV during Season 2 and beyond when Sherlock takes up semi-permanent residence in his bed. A collection of codas and missing scenes wrapped up into one long fic and topped with a bow that takes the story beyond Reichenbach and into happy territory once more. Part 1 of Bedtime Universe
LHR-HNL by scullyseviltwin (E, 35,066 w. || Hawaiian Vacation, Post-TRF, Friends To Lovers, Slow Burn, Just Talk Already, Drinking, Mutual Pining) – In need of an endangered flora sample, Sherlock and John must make a trip to an unexpected destination.
once upon a time by darcylindbergh (M, 6,501 w. || Fluff and Angst, First Kiss / Time, Love Declarations, Christmas) – It starts with a wish. In the beginning, John comes home. Part 1 of things fairy tales are made of
The Newlywed Game: Johnlock Edition by patternofdefiance (E, 9020 w. || Fake Rel., Friends to Lovers, Humour, Romance, Smut) – What it says on the tin: John and Sherlock pretend to be married in order to be contestants in a Newlywed Game. Of course it’s for a case. Of course it doesn’t stay that way. Part 8 of I Blame Tumblr
Turbulence in the Sky by esplanade (T, Fluff, Pining, Anxious Sherlock, Love Confessions) – “But some things needed to stay secret. Or at least, that was what he told himself every time he lost his nerve.”
You fit me, Sherlock Holmes by orphan_account (G, 10,077 w. || Fluff, Slow Burn, Idiots in Love, Experiments) – An unfortunate series of events leads to John accepting being a part of Sherlock’s study in physical intimacy. As the days pass by, John realizes he might be in for more than he bargained for. He doesn’t entirely mind.
Bread and Wine and Curry Once a Week by cwb (E, 8737 w. || Fluff, Friends to Lovers, Stroppy Sherlock, Love Letters, POV John) – Sherlock asks John for relationship advice. Little does he know that it’s him that Sherlock is in love with.
Correspondence by Cleo2010 (T, 8,031 w. || Letters, Friends to Lovers, Jealousy, Pining) – Sherlock’s been spirited away on a case for Mycroft. Part of the deal was that he and John could communicate via letter until the case was completed. Maybe the cliche is true, absence does make the heart grow fonder. Or perhaps something is growing on the feet in the fridge.Read their letters month by month. Written after series one.
Turn the key, and come home by TooManyChoices (M, 2,718 w. || Angst/Humour, First Time/Kiss, Happy Ending) – Sherlock and John have been dancing around what’s between them for years. Will John return to Baker Street, and if so, will things ever be the same?
Overture by Kate_Lear for fengirl88 (M, 4,435 w. || Friends to Lovers, First Time) – A short snippet on how John and Sherlock might have got together.
Acceptable Behaviour by bbcatemysoul (M, 3449 w. || Fluff, Dev. Rel., Miscommunication, First Time) – Sherlock isn’t really sure why John wants to shag him, but he’s certain that if he’s careful to behave properly about it, John can be persuaded to keep doing it. In other news, John is a good boyfriend and Sherlock is an idiot.
First Night Out by verityburns (M, 3251 w. || Romance, Christmas, Dev. Rel.) – As John recovers from the effects of a brutal kidnapping, he and Sherlock attend the Yarders’ Christmas Party. There are… developments on the dance floor…
Confessions by crimsonwinter (T, 4711 w. || Love Confessions, Fluff) – John and Sherlock finally confess their love for each other.
that thing you like by misspamela (E, 7165 w. || Holmes Family, Fake Relationship, Friends to Lovers) – “Happy Christmas, etc. etc.” Sherlock and John go to the Holmes’ for Christmas, and everyone thinks they’re together.
Their Great Reward by BeautifulFiction (T, 10,095 w. || UST, First Kiss, Fluff) – Boxing day, in John’s opinions, is the worst day of the year. Christmas is over, the tree is wilting and stripped of gifts, and there’s a week of dead-time until the clean slate of the new year. However the combination of a blizzard, a power-cut and Sherlock might just make it a day to remember.
Matters of National Security by mistyzeo (E, 8465 w. || Jealous Sherlock, First Time, RST, Idiots in Love, Frottage) – John starts dating a male client of Sherlock’s, and Sherlock can’t figure out why he’s so incensed about it.
Paparazzi by SilentAuror (E, 10,543 w. || Virgin Sherlock, First Time, Friends to Lovers, Post S3) – John moves back into 221B Baker Street after his marriage falls apart and the paparazzi won’t leave him and Sherlock alone about the status of their supposed relationship. Sherlock, of course, never denies it, until one day he does…
At the Heart of it All by SilentAuror (E, 19,812 w. || Virgin Sherlock, Post S3, POV John, Domestics, First Time, Kissing, Romance) – John has been back at Baker Street for four months now and thinks it’s about time they had the Talk to see whether or not they could be more than friends. Sherlock has a lot of uncertainty about this concept for multiple reasons. Unabashed romance.
Hallowed Eve by EventHorizon (T, 14,750 w. || First Kiss, Friends to Lovers, Halloween) – It probably wasn’t the smartest idea to let Sherlock choose the costumes for Halloween, but John never considered himself the smartest man in the room, anyway.
Once More, With Feeling by cellard00rs (T, 21,178 w. || Humour, Romance, Fluff, Fake Rel.) - To put off his meddlesome, matchmaking mother, John convinces Sherlock to play the role of his significant other. Unparalleled awkwardness ensues. [[nice amount of fluff and pining!]]
Brief Conversations with the Woman by May_Shepard (E, 21,906 w. || Pining, Love Fairy Irene, Filler Fic, UST/URT, Drug Use, Clueless Sherlock, Relationship Advice, Angst w/ Happy Ending) – Sherlock has a puzzle to solve, and his name is John Watson.
Tomorrow’s Song by agirlsname (M, 24,645 w. || Post-TRF, POV Sherlock, Angst with a Happy Ending, Virgin / Repressed Sherlock, Love Confessions, Slow Burn, Pining) – How can he think a relationship with me would be a good idea? I am the sort of person to take a break from my life and when I come back after two years, I expect to find it exactly as I left it. In reality I find it shattered to pieces. (I actually equate you with my life. When did I start doing that?)
State of Flux by Atiki (E, 24,655 w. || Sherlock POV, Slow Burn, First Kiss/Time, Friends to Lovers, Frottage, Cuddles and Snuggles, Awkwardness, Insecure/Virgin Sherlock, Romance) – John’s marriage is over and he is finally back home (i.e. at Baker Street, where he belongs). Sherlock is awfully insecure and John is awfully hesitant, and they’re both awkward idiots, of course, but they figure it out. Many First Times happen.
Don’t Leave Anything Out by lookupkate (E, 27,422w. || Epistolary, Falling in Love, Misunderstandings, Alternate First Meeting) – The first letter John writes home from Afghanistan is meant to go to a woman he went on only one date with. How it ends up in Sherlock’s hands is completely innocent. What happens next is not. What do you do when you find out the person you’re in love with has been lying about something as monumental as who they are? What do you do when you’re the one who lied? How on earth do you put the pieces back together?
Hitting the Water at Sixty Miles an Hour by what_alchemy (E, 30,568 w. || Road Trips, Fake Rel., Family) “You love your mother, Sherlock?”John watched the muscles in Sherlock’s jaw jump. He nodded in one sharp jerk. “Then we’re going to her party and making her happy.” John let out a resigned sigh. “As a ruddy couple, you bastard.” (FAVE!)
The Sum of His Parts by CommonNonsense (T, 4,311 w. || Body Worship, First Kiss / Time) – There are eleven major organ systems in the human body. Sherlock knows about all of them to some degree, but none fascinate him as much as the ones that make up John Watson.
The Detective and the Pin-Up by XistentialAngst (T, 15,683 w. || Romance, Humour, First Time/Kiss) – Sally Donovan discovers an old secret John Watson considered long buried - a ten-year old “Men of the Armed Forces” calendar, which has John as a very enticing pin-up for August. The image of John might just change the way everyone sees the unassuming sidekick, even Sherlock Holmes.
Unwasted by patternofdefiance (E, 8,966 w. || First Time, Friends to Lovers, Fluff, Dev. Rel. Smut) – John finds it three months after he’s moved back. He’s on the hunt for something to make for dinner, is scrounging through the cupboards, when he happens upon the graveyard of pasta boxes Sherlock still seems to create when left to his own devices. Behind seven boxes of pasta, all almost completely empty, is a dark-glassed bottle, with a paler coat of dust. It’s unopened. John’s face falls slack when he sees it, instantly recognises it, and for a long moment he just stands and looks at it.
Wars We Fought, Things We’re Not by blueink3 (M, 55,204 w. || Parentlock, Fluff & Angst, Kidnapping, Whump, Post-TAB, UST, Slow Burn, Couple for a Case) –  Five months after John’s world has fallen apart, Mycroft sends the consulting detective and his doctor on a case that neither is prepared for.
The Case of the Vanishing Pants by SwissMiss (E, 44,025 w. || Post-TRF, Case Fic, UST, Homophobia, Friends to Lovers) – Five times John and Sherlock lost their pants in the course of a case.
Anytime by SilentAuror (E, 17,995 w. || UST, Porn With Feels, POV Sherlock, Romance, UST/URT, Happy Ending, Drunken Endeavors) – Sherlock blinks and attempts to focus. There is a little too much vodka in his veins at the moment and it’s having an unfortunate effect on his brain and retinas both. There are two Johns sitting across from him, and both of them are frowning at him.“You’re drunk,” the Johns tell him. Sherlock blinks some more. “Says the man with Mrs Hudson’s doily on his head.”
John Watson doesn’t have a Boyfriend by naughtyspirit (E, 18,932 w. || UST / URT, Fluff & Smut, Voyeurism, Masturbation) – John’s date has gone very well. Sherlock requires tea. John wishes he hadn’t resolved that their relationship was strictly hands off and isn’t about to address it.Unless he has to. Smut, fluff and shower time for a naked John Watson.
Just a Kiss by emmagrant01 (E, 19,695 w. || Case Fic, 5+1, For a Case) – Five times John and Sherlock kissed because of a case and one time they kissed for real. (Chapter 7 is the one you want :D)
You Can Imagine the Christmas Dinners by ardenteurophile  (T, 23,584 w. || Humour, Romance, Drama, Fluff & Angst) Sherlock takes John along for Christmas dinner with Mycroft and Mummy (And “Anthea”, too). Over the course of the evening, John realises that everyone in the room - apart from him - seems to think that he and Sherlock are a couple. Part 2 of Xmas Dinners Verse (I LOVE THIS ONE)
Bedroom Tales by Junejuly15 (M, 49,950 w. || Friends to Lovers, Through the Years, H/C, Military Kink, First Kiss / Time, Romance, Insecure Sherlock, Voyeurism, Post-TRF, Ficlets, Fluff and Angst, Fix-It Fics) – Bedroom Tales is a collection of John and Sherlock ficletsThey are set at various stages of their relationship and are in no particular order. Some are fluffy, some sexy, some angsty, there is hurt and comfort, romance and love. What unites them is that they all play in a bedroom, but not necessarily the one in 221B.
John Watson’s Twelve Days of Christmas by earlgreytea68 (M, 53,464 w. || Christmas, Holmes Family, Fake Relationship, Alternate First Meeting, Falling in Love, Fluff and Angst, Hardcore Pining) – It’s the holiday season. John Watson needs money. Sherlock Holmes needs something else.

Rel., Pining, Fluff and Romance, First Kiss, Love Confessions, Fluff, Cuddles) – Sherlock’s journey in defining his flat mate and stumbling through the muddled world of emotion.{{This feels complete; the chapter count is listed as ? but I feel like it is done}}

Although it rained the night before, it’s done little to cool the air. Even at 9am, the sun is already blazing down. The thermometer shows 39 degrees Celsius and is poised to climb further. It’s Easter, so the schools are closed, and there’s a snaking queue at the ticket counter of Ramoji Film City (RFC), on the southeastern edge of Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana.
The set of popular Telugu mythological TV series Sri Bhagavatam
Sprawled across 810 hectares, RFC features in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest film studio complex in the world, specialising in Telugu-language cinema. It’s widely visited by movie buffs from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the two southern Indian states that share Telugu as their main language. If that sounds niche, Telugu is in fact one of the 22 major languages in India, ranked third in the country by number of native speakers. Moreover, according to US-based publication Ethnologue, it’s also the 12th-most spoken language in the world, with 82 million speakers.
Introducing Tollywood
It makes sense then that, as well as being a working film studios, RFC is one of the most popular tourist attractions in India, welcoming around 1.5 million domestic and international tourists each year. On any average day, the studios see a footfall of 2,500 visitors. During last year’s summer holidays, it topped 16,000 in a single day. The crowds come for a chance to wander through the sets of their favourite films and shows, with secret hopes of catching famous actors at work.
Models of trains and vintage cars from the props department
Also known as Tollywood, this strand of Indian cinema dedicated to producing movies in Telugu may not be as well-known internationally as Bollywood, but a handful of its past deliveries have seen it go toe-to-toe with its Mumbai-based cousin, in terms of budgets and box office numbers. A recent example is 2017’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the second of two period films that follow a young villager who discovers his royal heritage and saves his fictional kingdom in medieval India.
“Entertainment is the only mantra in Telugu films; they spend lavishly on costumes, sets, special effects, action scenes and musical scores”
This lavish production, shot entirely at RFC, cost INR2.5 billion (S$49 million) to shoot and went on to capture worldwide attention. A dubbed version was the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time. Also made available in Tamil, Malayalam, Japanese, Russian and Chinese, the film grossed INR18.1 billion (S$353 million) at the box office worldwide. Buoyed by its success, there have been a series of even more ambitious Telugu productions in the works, including one titled RRR, from Baahubali director SS Rajamouli. Another action movie, this time set in pre-Independence India, the film will cost INR4 billion (S$78 million) and is set for release next year. Sci-fi action thriller Saaho, featuring Baahubali star Prabhas, is coming to cinemas on 15 August this year and cost more than INR3 billion (S$58.5 million) to make. Needless to say, both films were shot at RFC.
Remnants of the Baahubali set
A cinematic visit
Beyond the ticket counter and after a brief security check, I join the visitors to get into a bright red, vintage-style, hop-on-hop-off coach that will take us around the complex. Each coach seats about 25 visitors and includes a guide who points out the different landmarks where iconic scenes of popular films were shot.
Our coach makes its first stop at Eureka, a huge courtyard that acts as the entry area into five major attractions. Designed to mimic with white marbled floors, lavish staircases and landscaped gardens, the threshold to this cinematic town hints at what lies ahead.
Princess Street is one of the many urban city sets in RFC
Despite Telugu cinema’s long history dating back to its first silent feature film in 1921, it was only in the early 1990s that the Telugu Film Industry (TFI) completely shifted base to Hyderabad, as major Telugu producers started setting up their own sets and studios in the state capital. RFC was founded in 1996 by film mogul and producer Cherukuri Ramoji Rao.
Recognising the need for an infrastructure of pre-designed sets and ambience, Rao shaped RFC while at the peak of his career “to provide comprehensive filmmaking facilities under one roof,” explains RFC vice president AV Rao. “The tourism potential was only realised in later years when people expressed a desire to have a glimpse of where their favourite films were made.”
Entrance to the five live shows in RFC
According to Rao, over 2,600 films in various languages have been shot at RFC so far. There are around 50 shooting floors, the largest being the size of two football fields. RFC also has dedicated departments for set construction, props, craft services and camera and lighting rental.
Back at Eureka, I find shade under a flowering bougainvillea, as traditional Rajasthani music floods the open compound and early visitors fill in. At 9.45am, the music switches to a more energetic number as two wooden plank-doors leading to the Central Court start to ancient Indian forts and palaces, complete swing open and a group of dancers dressed in golden costumes and ornate jewellery appear to draw in the mass of visitors.
A hop-on-hop-off coach takes you around the film city
“Which way is Fundustan?” A hassled parent with two young children in tow breaks the calm that descends after the music stops. Our guide, a burly man in his forties, directs them towards the themed children’s play area, where thrilling rides and fascinating games await. Adjacent to it is Borasura, a spine-chilling walk-through designed as a magician’s workshop.
Globalising entertainment
Largely devoted to mainstream filmmaking with a wide commercial appeal, Tollywood has in recent years shed its regional character, delivering colossal productions that are dubbed in multiple languages worldwide. “Entertainment is the only mantra in Telugu films. They spend lavishly on costumes, sets, special effects, action scenes and musical scores,” enthuses Himavati Kurup, a college student from Coimbatore and my fellow passenger in the RFC coach. “And we love watching them.”
Setting up a scene at a pre-designed railway station set
Another college student and amateur filmmaker Venu Nagaraju, who is also on the tour makes another interesting observation. “In most Telugu films, you will see a surprising storyline,” he says. “We, the Telugu people, love fantasy and horror and will lap up any film that gives us these. And if the story is not strong enough to hold your attention, the costumes and sets will definitely do it.”
As we chat, our coach passes by a replica of the Hawa Mahal, the pink palace in Jaipur, a doorway of Fatehpur Sikri – the Mughal city just outside Agra – before driving past rolling, landscaped fields. My fellow passengers raise a cheer whenever our guide names the popular Bollywood and Tollywood films – such as Dilwale (2015) or Mirchi (2013) – that were shot at the locations we pass.
A visitor walks past part of the Baahubali set
The coach pulls to a stop near North City, where permanent sets resemble a suburban neighbourhood in a north Indian town, with multi-storied buildings featuring adorned columns, arched doorways, winding corridors and wooden carvings. A film is being shot inside one of the palatial houses and some of us try to sneak in, only to be pulled back by our guide.
“When a location is rented out for a movie, the producers take over and arrange for props to further dress up the scene. The area then belongs to the producer and we are not supposed to trespass,” he explains.
Guests enjoying a Rajasthani dance performance
As such, visitors are unlikely to witness a film being shot. However, some guests do get lucky and chance upon film stars. R Lakshmana Rao, a Hyderabad businessman on his third RFC visit, shares how he met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan here two years ago. “He was awesome and very humble, and took pictures with us.”
Just down the street are façades of rural village homes that can be found in South India, and around a corner, a street dressed up to look like a generic urban thoroughfare in Europe or the US. Our guide quips: “This is the only place in the world where you can travel from a North Indian city to a South Indian city by crossing a street, and to Europe or America without a passport.”
At these permanent railway sets, the hoardings, letterings and billboards can easily be changed to match the film
The bus halts next at the indoor sets of Sri Bhagavatam, a popular mythological Telugu television series from 2013, based on the life and deeds of Lord Krishna. Diagonally opposite this fantastical set is the façade of a tiny airport, with a huge parking lot. Our guide reveals that the fight scenes from the 2015 Shah Rukh Khan romantic action film Dilwale was shot here.
“This is the only place in the world where you can travel from a North Indian city to a South Indian city by crossing a street, and to Europe or America without a passport.”
“I am here to see the sets of Baahubali,” 75-year-old Manorama Nair from Kochi tells me, pausing for breath as she braves the noon sun while her granddaughters run up the staircases to reach the famous throne. “Baahubali was a great entertainer, and I am curious to know how they made the film. I have read almost every article written about the movie.”
The massive wooden entrance that leads to Central Court
It’s almost past 1pm and I am ravenous. Over the buffet spread at Superstar, one of the most luxurious restaurants in RFC, I reflect on the meaning Telegu cinema holds for its fans. Telugu viewers hold their films and their film personalities in high regard. I think back to the words of Anna Kowalski, a young Polish tourist I met on the coach earlier today. She and her partner were struck by their fellow riders. “We will take back with us the exuberance and craziness of the people here, and how they relate to films as well as they relate to life.”
Indeed cinema here is not just entertainment; it’s a way of life. It’s the high emotion, the grandness of life as it appears in Telugu cinema that pulls people into its fold – and why a visit to RFC is such a draw.

Hi, out of interest how many did your fic have before you mentioned not getting a lot of kudos? I know what you mean about bnfs. I get literally 0 likes or reblogs on tumblr, but on ao3 I'm up to just over 100 kudos on some fics. I have to see that as an achievement because what else is there to go on? I don't know how else to tag to get readers attention on here tbh. Anyway great work with your fic!! 900kudos is amazing!!
Hey there. Do you mean how many kudos did my fic have before I mentioned not getting a ton? Well, I wasn't talking about one specific story, just my stuff in general? Like, for example, I wrote 65,000 words in 14 chapters for one story and that fic now has 810 kudos. That's a great number, but some people can get that number with a *one-shot* 😞 But I have older one-shots that are stuck in the 100s, too, and it's incredibly frustrating, isn't it? But it is an accomplishment. Don't think it isn't.I used to get no likes or reblogs on *any* of my posts on tumblr until some cool cats started following me and reblogging my stuff after I became more vocal in the tjlc fandom. It's really within the past 6-7 months that I've been getting any attention at all. If you want to know how to get recognition, I'd say keep writing and actually start talking to people. That held me back for a long time; I was too intimidated to talk to anyone. Hell, I'm still scared to talk to people! 😂 But people won't know about your writing if you don't actually talk to them! :P Shocker. And thank you very much 😊 I'm going to try to focus on the positives, and this is definitely a positive

Neil’s Reflections
Pret a Manger is closing shops and Costa Coffee is cutting jobs. When more people work from home, fewer people need to buy coffee and sandwiches from the city centre shops.
Like many people, I work from home. The commute is straightforward: it’s about 30 seconds and costs nothing. I get a coffee that is just the way I like it. At the end of the day, I don’t get home feeling faintly frazzled, slightly grimy and a little grumpy. I just close the door on the computer and all those Zoom meetings.
I know I have it easy. I’m not sharing a kitchen table with someone else. And I’m not trying to explain the intricacies of the Inca civilization to 8 year olds.
So, I like working from home.
But I’m aware of how my world could get smaller, even as it looks like it’s expanding.
Last week I was in a meeting with pastors from Delhi, Chennai, Melbourne and Maine. I’ve never had the chance before to have a conversation with people from 3 other different continents at the same time. I was at home connected to the world. But all the while I was buffered from that world. Zoom brings you closer but also allows you to maintain your distance. It takes social distancing to its logical conclusion.
And some days it can feel good to be socially distanced when there seems to be so much mayhem happening around us. Mentally we stay at home. It’s always been a temptation, maybe it’s just greater now.
We’re reading through Acts together and this week get to Acts 13:13-52. Paul is at Pisidian Antioch, 200 miles inland from the shoreline in Turkey. And, as was his custom, he went to the Jewish synagogue and retold their shared Jewish story to the worshippers there. He seems to have been received well, he was invited back. (That’s always the acid test for a guest preacher – do you get another invite or is once enough!)
But second time around, they reject him and the good news of Jesus. So Paul tells them ‘we had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.’ (14:46)
He was turned away because there were Jews who believed that any changes to the way they had always understood and practised their faith would be catastrophic. They’d lost the bigger picture of what God wanted to do through them, all they could see was what they knew. They feared the loss of old certainties as Paul was preaching about all the new possibilities. They wanted to keep their distance from all that was potentially destabilizing. They wanted to stay safe. They wanted to keep things safe.
We will be working from home for quite a while, some of us will be there permanently. But that should not shape the way we see others. We might be at home more, but we must make sure we stay open to others around us. We may not be in the same physical space with others as much as we might have been in the past, but we must be ready to go to those who are different from ourselves. Otherwise we will miss out on God’s great adventure.
If you want to see what Pisidian Antioch looks like now and what we can still see of the time of Paul: watch this (3 mins):
If you want to get an overview of the Book of Acts chapters 13-28 – watch this:
Interview
To every parent who has been working from home as well as trying to ensure that children have been educated at home, the rest of us salute you! Bringing up children is hard enough, without all the extra responsibilities you’ve had to carry as well. This week’s interview is with Kate who reflects on being a single mum to a little boy with additional needs.

There’s a chance for any of the guys connected with the church to go for an appropriately socially distanced Saturday morning walk together up to Rivington Pike on Saturday 19 September. This is a morning walk and you should be home around lunchtime. If you’re interested in coming along – let Paul King (07902 908608) or Neil know that you’ll be with us.
We will meet at Rivington Hall Barn, Rivington Lane, Rivington BL6 7SB at 9.30am https://www.visitnorthwest.com/sights/rivington-hall-barn/
At the moment lockdown regulations allow us to be in social groups of 6 people from different households. If there are more than 6 of us, we will form different groups of up to 6 and stay in that group. If the lockdown restrictions get stricter, then we will postpone the walk.

Excerpt From Travis (Book 6) Travis cleaned his cup, made his bed, showered, and headed downstairs to the diner. The dining room was dark, the solo light from the kitchen spilling out into the area, casting a dim glow. He loved this time of day. Everything was fresh and new; anything was possible. Since the diner faced east, he’d soon be graced with a beautiful sunrise filled with reds and yellows. Someday, he would capture that sight on a canvas. He turned from the window and headed for the kitchen. He’d get a tray of biscuits on before he started the coffee, knowing he’d have company soon enough. Since he’d decided to come back to his apartment from the hospital, Bo had been showing up every morning before the diner opened to have coffee with Travis. Then throughout the day into the evening, Bo would stop by until Travis was done with work. If he were honest with himself, he looked forward to their time together. And that was all he could allow. Nothing closer and certainly nothing more. Aside from the hospital staff and physical therapists at the rehab facility, no one willingly had or would ever touch him. Within twenty minutes, Travis had a tray of biscuits ready for the oven. He set the timer and went to turn on the coffee when he heard a knock on the front door. Bo. “Just a minute,” Travis yelled as he poured the remaining water into the coffee makers and headed for the door. He rounded the booths and saw Bo’s police cruiser in the parking lot, and the man’s large body filling the front door’s frame. Bo stood there smiling wide as if he had good reason. Travis felt his body heat up, and he knew he was blushing. Life had made him tough; he was a loner, and he didn’t blush, dammit. But the sight of Bo turned Travis’s brain into tapioca pudding. Quickly, he unlocked the door and let in the man of his dreams. He could look but never touch. “Good morning.” Bo’s deep voice resonated throughout Travis’s body like a caress. He reminded himself to remain unaffected; he could never allow himself to slip. “Good morning, Bo. I just put the coffee on. It should be ready any minute.” “Great. Will you be joining me this morning?” Bo’s brown eyes were so warm and inviting. Travis had already put on the biscuits, so he had a few minutes to spare. But should he? Bo being a cop meant he could read people well. “A couple minutes is all I’m asking for, promise.” Oh, what the hell, why not? “Okay, I’ll get the coffee.” Bo sat his large body on a stool at the counter. With only the light from the kitchen illuminating the area, this familiar scene felt almost intimate. Travis’s hands shook slightly with equal parts excitement and trepidation. Though there could be nothing physical between them, maybe they could be friends. That way he wouldn’t lose Bo completely once the man realized Travis was a lost cause and Bo moved onto someone who could be what he needed. Carefully, Travis added sugar and cream to Bo’s coffee, and then walked to the opposite side of the counter across from Bo, making sure a physical barrier remained between them. Bo smiled when Travis returned with his black coffee, and if Bo noticed Travis was keeping his distance, the cop gave no indication. “How was your night? More nightmares?” Bo cradled the coffee mug between his large hands. Travis had tried to keep his nightmares to himself, but Bo had seen the effects they had on him in the hospital, so there was no use in pretending they didn’t exist. “It wasn’t so bad. Only one last night.” Travis played off how shaken he’d been and attempted a smile. Bo reached over and took Travis’s hand, holding it gently. Travis froze, unable to pull his hand away. The big man’s warmth moved up Travis’s arm, and excitement filled his body. Bo reached into his pocket and pulled something out before placing it into Travis’s open palm. “I want you to have this.” Bo removed his hand, leaving a shiny, black cell phone behind. “Please accept it.” Travis never had enough extra money to buy a cell phone—a roof over his head and food in his stomach took precedence over any creature comforts. He looked at the phone’s shiny screen and its sleek body and had no clue what to do with it. Of course, he knew there was a button to turn it on, but that was as far as his knowledge base went. “I…I’ve never…I can’t take this.” “Yes, you can. I bought it for you.” “But why?” Travis asked, truly confused. Travis could have sworn Bo’s cheeks pinked. Why would he be embarrassed? I’m the one who doesn’t know how to use the damn thing. “You should have one for safety in case you need help, or if you just want to talk to someone. I programmed my number into it, but you can add as many people as you like. Here is your new phone number.” Bo handed Travis a slip of paper then took the phone from his hand and said, “I’ll show you how it works,” saving him the embarrassment of admitting he was clueless. He figured Bo must have noticed Travis didn’t have much by way of possessions, particularly a phone. Bo spent the next ten minutes explaining all the features. The only things that registered with Travis were how to text and make a call. He had no idea what he’d use the Bluetooth for. There was even a little picture of Bo on the screen Travis could push if he wanted to call him. Bo smiled wide, handed the phone back to Travis then stood while placing his money for the coffee on the counter. “I’ll drop in later today for lunch.” “But I didn’t say I’d take it,” Travis called out as Bo headed for the door. “Try it out. See if you like it,” Bo replied. “Have a good day.” The door swung shut, and he was gone. Travis stood at the counter for a few minutes, trying to figure out what to do with the phone. In the end, he shoved it into his pocket before returning to the kitchen.

Start by formulating a question which has more than one answer.
Start by formulating a question which has more than one answer. adresi https://e-sarkisozleri.com/start-by-formulating-a-question-which-has-more-2/
Start by formulating a question which has more than one answer.
Start by formulating a question which has more than one answer.
Your statement above will be one of several possible answers. Possible questions could be:
1. The causes of children in order to become trafficked?
2. Who is most at fault when children are trafficked?
Then start your essay with a story of a child (real or imagined) that is trafficked by their parents. Next tell the statistics of trafficking of children. End that first paragraph (or it might take 2 paragraphs dependent on how information that is much have) with the question above. The next paragraph should tell a number of the possible answers that other people might give, and then tell your answer in a sentence something such as this:
Although some social people might blame XX or XX, in fact, parents are to be culpable for human trafficking of these children because XX, XX, and XX.
Those three reasons after the ‘because” would be the basis regarding the rest of the argument.
I need to write an essay that is argumentative ugly produce being the answer to hunger. Are you able to help?
The answer is had by you to your question. Here are a few thesis relevant questions that will help you:
1. Does the U.S. need certainly to re-think the importance of “perfect produce?”
2. How can we solve the situation of hunger using our current resources?
3. What happens to “ugly produce?”
How do you write a topic sentence for an essay that is argumentative the subject “Year Round vs. Traditional Schooling”?
You would answer among the following questions:
1. Is schooling that is year-round than traditional schooling?
2. Exactly what are the benefits of year-round schooling vs. traditional schooling?
3. Should a school switch from traditional schooling to year-round?
The way I do I start an argumentative essay on why women should join peace talks?
I always suggest that people start an essay with a thing that illustrates the subject vividly and receives the reader interested. In order to start an essay with a real-life story, something through the news, an example you have made up, a discussion or even interesting statistics and questions.

How would I start an argumentative essay on a pair of athletic shoes which were awful?
I enjoy this question because I had Olympic runner Trayvon Bromell within my class many years ago and he wrote an essay about Nike shoes being the greatest (he had been endorsing Nike at that time). He so convinced me that I switched from my New Balance to Nike shoes. A couple of months later, I began foot pain that is having. A while was taken by it in my situation to understand the shoes were the main cause. I went returning to the NB that is same model’d been wearing since 1991 in addition to pain eventually went away. Later, i then found out that Trayvon had switched to endorsing NB! I would probably start with a story about what convinced me to buy those new shoes, or how I imagined those shoes would enhance my life if I were writing an essay on this topic!
How do you start an argumentative essay on “college career and success in Nigeria?”
Begin with a typical story, or your very own story, about deciding whether or not to head to college or a tale concerning the difficulties of performing well in college studies. End one of the following questions to your story (what type varies according to the main focus of your topic):
How do an university student in Nigeria be successful?
How can a college degree help an individual in Nigeria have success?
Your answer to this real question is your thesis while the reasons behind that answer will be the sentences that are topic the human body of one’s essay.
How do you start an argumentative essay titled “juvenile offenders ought to i need help writing a paper be given a second chance”?
Start out with the story of a juvenile who has got realized what he did was wrong and turned his life around in jail but nevertheless faces a long prison term. Then give percentages of young adults who are incarcerated. It could be helpful if you chose a real-life story and if that person was released and turned into a productive citizen as you can then use that real story due to the fact conclusion of one’s essay to persuade the viewers which they should agree to you.
How can I pursue readers to believe that the kiss of an enemy is better than a bite of a buddy?
Use a complete lot of examples from real world, from history, from movies and T.V. and from politics. Good, specific and examples that are interesting a variety of sources are always persuasive.
Just how can an argument is written by me essay on the topic “Should shark netting be utilized on coastal beaches?”
Begin with the recent shark sightings and attack in the East Coast regarding the U.S. Give a vivid description and talk about how this has made people feel in regards to the situation. Then end the paragraph that is first your question. All of those other article should be the answer to that question. See this article for simple tips to turn a relevant question into a thesis: https://hubpages.com/humanities/Easy-Ways-to-Write.
How do I write a thesis on gun control?
A thesis is started by you by asking a concern. On gun control, you are able to ask any of the following:
1. What’s the best way to resolve the difficulty of gun violence in America?
2. Is gun control effective?
3. Do gun control laws work?
4. Do gun that is buy-back help to keep guns off the streets?

Hi Lee, you have a good question to start from. You will need to first decide on your response to that question while the good reasons for your answer. Hi Elizabeth, you should probably focus on the whole story of an accident caused by this and then end give some statistics concerning the number of accidents brought on by people cutting in front without signaling, or something like that like this. Then end that introduction with all the question: Should it be illegal for drivers to cut in? Your answer to that question is the thesis as well as your grounds for the solution are your sentences that are topic.

5 Simple Road Trip Games to Play with Kids by BrandsExclusive
There’s only so many times you can play ‘I Spy’ in a moving vehicle before you actually run out of new things to spy. Besides, the steering wheel and glove box don’t make for a particularly exciting guessing game to begin with. Before long you’ve got a pack of bored, restless and tired kiddies asking every five minutes “are we there yet?”, and your summer road trip quickly becomes a bummer road trip.
Sound familiar? The thing about classic road trip games is that they all become boring eventually, so the trick is to have a whole bunch of ‘em up your sleeve so you can mix it up. Alternate the following road trip games between rest stops, snacks, gizmos, toys, apps and with any luck, naps, and you might just arrive at your destination with your sanity intact!
Count sheep. So easy, and yet so effective at keeping the kids busy, especially the littlies. Players simply choose something to keep count of during the trip, such as horses, semi-trailers, yellow road signs, cyclists – if you can see it out the window, you can play it! Bear in mind that things can get mighty interesting once you come across a paddock full of cows or sheep.
Name the band. Now that counting roadside sheep has put the littlest kids to sleep, why not test the older kids’ music knowledge? Plan ahead and make a summer road trip playlist using a combination of old and new family-friendly songs. Try to pick songs by reasonably well-known artists as well as some obscure ones. Think jukebox classics or the current top ten, as well as some one hit wonders. Every time a new song comes on players have to guess the band or artist. If no-one knows, try giving clues to see if they can work it out.
Movie trivia. Make sure IMDB is off limits for this game in which players take turns connecting actors through movies they’ve appeared in. The first player names an actor or actress, then the next person names a film they’ve starred in. The next player then has to think of a different actor who was in that film, and so on. Don’t forget to strategise and make it tough for the next person, for example: Meg Ryan, Sleepless in Seattle, Tom Hanks, Castaway… errm Wilson the Volleyball? See what we mean? Have fun with it!
Would you rather? Who doesn’t love a ridiculous, albeit thought-provoking, hypothetical? Get their brains ticking with some silly age-appropriate scenarios that you’ve prepared ahead for time, for example: Would you rather sneeze cheese or cry cordial? Would you rather have fairy wings or a mermaid tail? The only rule is that they can’t say ‘neither’. Try to encourage discussion about their rationalisation, too!
Number plate games. There are loads of road trip games that utilise number plates, but one of the simplest and most creative is to think of words based on number plate letters as they pass. For example, if the number plate was TIC123, the challenge could be to think of six words (1 + 2 + 3) that contain ‘tic’, such as ‘fantastic’ or ‘tickle’. Or you could create a phrase using the three letters, for example BHD could be ‘big hungry dog’. Then make a nonsensical story out of everyone’s phrases.
Imaginary Hide & Seek. Just as there’s not much to spy in a car, there’s also nowhere to hide – except in your imagination! A different take on 20 questions, the hider imagines themselves concealed in a secret spot at home, or any agreed-upon location, and the seeker then asks a series of yes or no questions to figure out where they are.
What are your favourite no-fuss and all-imagination road trip games for kids? Let us know on our Facebook page.

Neil’s Reflection
Little by little things are going back to normal. Except it’s not really normal is it? On Saturday I was queuing down the street for fish and chips before heading out for a socially distanced meting with my parents in a nearby park. There was a guy behind me who clearly had spatial awareness problems. He was nowhere near his mark on the street. I did that most British of thing – first I casually glanced behind me at him, then I looked at him purposefully, but still he was getting closer and closer. So then I coughed in the hope that fear might bring distance! It didn’t. There was a guy who clearly hasn’t got the message about the new normal.
Things are opening up. This week we will find out what it will be like when the restaurants and pubs open. We might be able to get a little closer to each other, but we might have to leave our names and contact details, get used to using an app to place our orders. It’ll be us getting back to normal. Except it won’t be.
Last week I gave three 3 hours of my life that I’ll never get back again to two seminars around writing risk assessment policies for the time we can reopen church for worship. It was helpful in terms of me writing out the policies but reminded me that getting back to normal church has nothing to do with the building.
For us, is it normal church if you can’t sing? Or if you can’t see each other smile, because you have to wear masks? Or if you can’t greet one another properly? Or if you have to keep your distance? Or if you have to stay within your household ‘bubbles’? Or if those who need to keep shielding can’t come? Or if you can’t pray privately with each other?
You can be in church and be far from being church.
This week Steve will be preaching from Acts 7. It’s a long story about how God had always been at work away from the Temple. Stephen, the man who had been asked to oversee the distribution to the widows, had the opportunity to explain what was always true: God is no longer tied to a place, but is at work in some of the last places you might have expected.
During this time I am reminding myself to be less concerned about being in church and more about being church. You might have read about the church in Newquay that had a drive-in service this week. I’m pleased they were able to do it, and the media picked up the story, but I don’t think us sitting in a car park in our fiestas is what it means to be church.
We are not in normal days, but God is still at work. As we gather from our scattered places, God can still speak. As we call one another and catch up, we can minister to one another. As you remember to pray for the church, you continue to build the community. As you keep your promises, and are inspired by those of others, you create a new future that will last well beyond this new normal!
The commitments we made on Sunday
After the sermon on Sunday, we gave each other the chance to offer our own commitments to one another.
These are some of the things that we said. If we keep these promises, we will be building church.
I commit to love you like my family – with no favourites, and no inner and outer circle.
Dear Lord, I promise to pray more every day.
I commit to being more alert to God`s leading and to listen well.
I promise to love truth, love and mercy.
I commit to seek to understand others point of view
We promise to serve and support in any way you need us to.
I promise to listen and help wherever I can.
To see people past my personal prejudices and see them as a people worthy of the love and grace of Jesus.
I promise to listen well and not be so sensitive
Our promise is to love even when we don’t feel like it, to be humble and take criticism without offence. To hear the message behind the words and actions.
I pray that I’ll always be full of the Spirit of God and walk in love towards one another.
I will listen to you and not judge and will prayerfully support you with the leading of the Holy Spirit and wisdom.
I promise to choose to listen to love and not fear.
I promise to be alert to any injustice and seek to address it.
I commit to always thinking the best of people to not make assumptions and be slow to take offence.
I commit to speaking out when I see a problem or injustice and not just keeping quiet out of fear of making waves or because it doesn’t directly affect me.
I commit to be open to change.
I promise to pray for us all to know the power of the Spirit in our lives and we will all know God’s wisdom so we can all grow in faith and love
To remember that Jesus died for everyone I come into contact with
To be more open to other ideas and points of view
I commit to asking the Lord to fill me with the Spirit, grant me wisdom and a kind heart and be a good member of the Elim family.
To be gracious, Spirit-filled and Wise! what other goals do I need before these?

You may feel anxious and just need someone to pray for God’s peace over you. You may be ill or be concerned about someone who is sick; we can pray with you for God’s healing. You may feel low or confused; we can pray with you to know God’s joy and guidance in these strange days. Whatever your reason, we would love to pray with you and for you.

On Friday 10.30-12.00 there is a prayer meeting that doesn’t need Zoom! We use Whatsapp and it works great. If you want more information contact Corinne Baines or Gill Oldham or Neil and they’ll make sure you are able to connect.
Small Groups
Christians have known for centuries that one of the main ways to keep growing as a Jesus-follower is to commit to being part of a small group. They create contexts where we can change. Many of you are already part of these groups, but if you aren’t, this week is a great time to begin.
On Thursday at 7.45pm Neil will be leading an evening for those in groups, and those who are thinking about it: Small Groups that Work: How to get the best from One Another. Come along and discover what could be possible.

From 9 July there will be a new group on Thursdays – Building Foundations. It’s important that you feel confident in knowing how to understand and explain the Christian faith to others. But equally, it is vital that you grow in knowing how to pray and to hear from God. This course will help you do both. You might have been a Christian for years, but deep down you are concerned that there are things you still haven’t got your head around. Or you might be fairly new on this road. This course is for you. Led by Charlie, it will explore all that is involved in ensuring that your life as a follower of Jesus is based on really strong foundations. Let us know if you would be interesting in joining that group.
2. Stay Connected
‘Virtual Coffee Morning’ – Wednesday 10.30-11.30am
Since closing we’ve missed chatting to people and we know some of you have missed popping in for a brew and a catch up too. So, whilst it’s not as good as the real thing, we thought we would try meeting up online instead. So, grab yourself a brew and join us. There may even be games and live music!

3. Alpha
There are hundreds of thousands of people who are really glad that they joined an Alpha Course. It gave them a chance to understand the person and teaching of Jesus in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. We have started ‘The Virtual Vine Alpha Course’ on Wednesdays 2.30-4pm
The Alpha Course is a great opportunity to explore the bigger questions of life and faith such as ‘Is there more than this?’, ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Does God guide us?’. No question is ‘out of bounds’ and everyone is welcome to join us without pressure.

Links and Resources
1. Children’s Resources
Morag and Ian have out together a couple of films for children at different ages. Having said that, whatever your age you might want to take a look!
But if you have children that fall into these groups, I know that they will really value your feedback.
You can watch them here: http://www.salfordelimchurch.org/kids-resources-acts-68-81/
2. This made me remember and smile
If you were with us at the Weekend away at Cefn Lea, you might remember the water chute! I saw this and it made me smile – we have a long way to go to be as good as these guys: https://www.facebook.com/cvmNorth/videos/650535282198585/UzpfSTU4MjgxNTM3MzoxMDE2Mzc0OTU0MjA2NTM3NA/
3. This comment made me laugh
I was chatting to someone in church and asking how they were. Their answer was ‘I am wishing I’d married a hairdresser!’.
I’m guessing they are not the only ones. If only we had known….
