note: hii babes, how are you? here im again hehe. an anon asked me for a fuffly alphabet so here it is... just remembering that English is not my first language, so please ignore the grammar and spelling mistakes... also, please let me know if you like it or not! kisses 💋

just a reminder that this is just imaginary and i don't know jude bellingham so i don't know what he's really like

a = affection (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?)

you see, jude is without a doubt an affectionate man, but for me (I might be crazy), he might have a little trouble showing it (at the beginning of the relationship); I feel like it's harder for him to show affection romantically than when it comes to family/friends

but of course, have no doubt that as your relationship progresses, that man will have no qualms about showing how affectionate he can be at all times

b = best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start?)

it would definitely be something jude would appreciate a lot. Being an extremely famous soccer player has its advantages, but at the same time it brings with it a lot of self-interested people who don't really care about him and just want fame. So when he realizes that you're not one of those people and that you really want to get to know Jude the person and not "Jude Bellingham," it will certainly be something fantastic for him and he will be very happy because he also wants to get to know you and he wants you to get to know him as he really is. Obviously, at first he wouldn't open up right away. When I think of Jude, I imagine a very smart and even suspicious man, someone who is not easy to impress or figure out, so I imagine it would be something gradual. He would let you in little by little and that would make everything more real and interesting.

he certainly loves giving and receiving affection, especially when he is intimate with the person; he's clearly someone who grew up in a structured family and who always provided him with affection and love, so I think he has no problem showing it to someone he cares about/loves

jude is a young man who clearly likes to hang out and have fun, but I feel like he would definitely become more domestic with you (which is what I would want if I were with him, since I hate going out) and would definitely love to spend a lot of quality time with you, whether it's watching a movie or talking or even enjoying some good food

as for housework, to be honest, I don't think he's very good at it lol and he definitely doesn't know how to cook, as he himself has said (we would go hungry because I'm not a good cook either); I think you could have a little work with him in that aspect, but with time he would get the hang of it, as you teach him (and push him a little too lol)

e = ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

he would definitely do it in a direct and honest way, as painful as it may be; I can't imagine him procrastinating or trying to smooth things over. if you broke up because it wasn't working out anymore or because you didn't have feelings, he would handle it better, but if it was because of lack of time or any other reason that forced you to break up, I don't think he would know how to handle it very well (even if he had been the one to break up)

f = fiance(e) (how do they feel about commitment? how quickly would they want to get married?)

i don't think jude is against marriage, but i think he certainly doesn't think about it right now. he's clearly 100% focused on his growing career and enjoying his youth so even if he was completely in love i don't imagine he would think about a commitment to the level of marriage; at most, a serious relationship

g = gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

he is visibly a very gentleman, although I think he has his moments – like everyone else – of being in a bad mood or rude

when we talk about the emotional aspect, I think he is a bit of a "stuck" man; I don't imagine him being someone who is easy to show emotionally

h = hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?)

come on, it's no secret that this man loves hugs and if I'm sure of anything in this life it's that his hugs are wonderful. just watch the way he hugs people, strong and tight and so sincere. I feel that his hugs convey a great sense of security and protection and I imagine that is exactly what he wants you to feel when he hugs you; simply so comforting.

i = i love you (how fast do they say the l-word?)

as sweet and caring as jude can be, I think he understands the weight and meaning of an "I love you" very well and he's definitely not saying it without really feeling it; I imagine it will take him a while to say it, since he wants to be sure that he really means it, but when he does say it, it will be extremely sincere and loud and clear

j = jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they're jealous?)

jude gives me very possessive vibes, as if he were saying "what's mine is mine and no one else's" and I feel like that would definitely fit you; he knows that you're not an object but a person with feelings and desires, but you're simply stronger than him. he would definitely hate to see you giving more attention to someone else — especially if it's a man — than him. at the end of the day, he wants you all and completely for himself

k = kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?)

jude's kisses are definitely intense, that man exudes confidence and intensity; his kisses can't be any different. he will simply kiss you hungrily, but not in a hasty way, it will be intense and passionate as he grips your waist and presses you against some surface.

as for the places he likes to kiss you, I think he just wants to enjoy every part of you so he just explores everything he sees in front of him, leaving hot kisses on your neck, your bust and even your shoulders

when we talk about where he likes to be kissed, I quickly think of his neck, that man must get weak having you leaving tender kisses and little love bites on him while grabbing his muscles.

although he insists that he doesn't want kids, the way he is extremely affectionate and good with kids tells a different story. the way kids love him and get along with him is something that makes your uterus itch, and it also makes your imagination run wild imagining that man being the father of your babies; jude exudes daddy material

well, mornings with jude are hectic, unfortunately since he has training so he wakes up early and barely has time for anything other than getting changed and eating something. now when he has time off or is on vacation you will definitely spend more time in bed talking and having soft, lazy sex

n = night (how are nights spent with them?)

well, the schedule definitely varies a lot depending on his routine. On a non-game day, you'll go out to dinner together, sometimes at a nice restaurant (he once said he loves going out to restaurants) or, if he wants more privacy with you, he'll just ask his chef to prepare something. He loves talking to you and is definitely telling you every detail of his day and wants to hear every detail of yours too. Maybe you'll watch a movie together until a kiss here and there makes you take things to the bedroom. He definitely loves sleeping with you close to him.

on a game day, you'll watch him — if you don't have anything from school/work to do. I think his late-night schedule will depend a lot on the outcome (and his performance) of the game. If you win, he'll want to celebrate with you, but if you lose, he'll definitely be completely irritated and grumpy and you know you need to give him space to think a little.

like I said, Jude doesn't seem like the kind of man who is easy to open up to emotionally in a romantic way so I think he only started opening up more and more after he gained a lot of trust; you would probably be the first to do it and he would notice how much you trust him and start doing the same — little by little.

p = patience (how easily angered are they?)

let's be honest, as loving and kind as he is, Jude clearly has a strong temper and gets angry easily; although, I think he controls himself quite well. from what we see and hear of him, we notice that he has a dominant personality (he tends to lead and control situations) and people like that usually hate to lose control of something and see that things don't go as they planned and when that happens they just explode first before solving what went wrong. in short, I think he's the kind of person who will explode when something goes wrong and get absolutely pissed off — and will definitely want to be alone — and then calm down and immediately act to solve the problem (I feel like he doesn't like to leave anything hanging, always wanting to solve everything)

q = quizzes (how much would they remember about you? do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

jude is a very observant man and has a good memory from what we can see (the way he remembers fans/people he saw a while ago). for me, he would definitely pay attention to every detail and remember them all, especially since it's about you

r = remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

since he has an extremely busy life, I think his favorite moments with you will be those that are just the two of you and that are extremely comfortable and intimate where you talk sincerely and lightly, with him being able to be himself without any fear

maybe your first time could also be a memory that he will keep very fondly; he feels that it was different from anything he had experienced up until then, since it wasn't not only superficial pleasure

it is extremely obvious how protective Jude is of those he loves and cares about; he is definitely sparing no effort when it comes to seeing you protected and safe. I think he is the kind of guy who will always be keeping an eye on your social media to see what people are saying about you and will always be there to show you that the negative things they say about you are lies; I also imagine that he will definitely not like the idea of you walking around alone. besides, he will always want to see you happy and comfortable

you see, that is an English man, he definitely likes to show how important you are to him and he is definitely sparing no effort to do so; I don't even need to say that he's clearly not letting you pay for anything, even if you insist, and he's definitely not being frugal when it comes to buying you gifts, but hey, he doesn't just want to show off expensive gifts, he wants you to really like them and have an important meaning for you (and he definitely wants to be reminded every time you look at the gift he gave you)

u = ugly (what would be some bad habits of theirs?)

i feel like he's messy (in terms of leaving things lying around the house) and lazy when it comes to helping with the housework; I also imagine him being stubborn and doing things his own way

v = vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)

there's not much to say when it's all there in front of our eyes; that man is extremely careful with his appearance. He knows he’s a handsome man and does everything he can to keep his appearance perfect. Furthermore, you can see that he’s extremely hygienic. You look at him and you realize how clean he looks and how nice he smells (many people who meet him talk about how delicious is his scent).

w = whole (would they feel incomplete without you?)

jude doesn’t seem like the kind of person who has an emotional dependence on someone; sure, he’s intense when he loves someone (especially his family), but not to the point where he can’t live without them. If you guys broke up or something like that, the emptiness would be there — obviously —, but it’s not like he’d stop living because of it. I also think he’d be proud to the point of hiding as much as possible how much he misses you, not wanting to show weakness.

y = yuck (what are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

obviously, self-interested people who are only with him because want something in return; superficial people (who don't see him as he really is or who are extremely superficial); people who are rude or who try to humiliate/put others down (that man is very kind and polite and he will definitely want someone identical in that aspect); I also feel that he doesn't like people who do everything to expose their lives (on social media or etc.). Jude is a very reserved man who loves his privacy and that of his family and would definitely hate a partner who insists on posting and showing everything

z = zzz (what is a sleep habits of theirs?)

as he himself said in an interview, one of his favorite hobbies is taking naps so he definitely sleeps a lot, especially in the afternoon. I think he must be extremely tired when he gets home from training and doesn't want anything more than a cuddle and a good nap.

“I’m telling Natasha today,” Jungkook’s famous last words that made your stomach twist, especially with the JW Blue Label Dinner event looming on your head.

You know you did a good job today by being unserious with him on texts and that too that early in the morning. You should get an award for being nonchalant.

Also what was his new habit of texting you so early in the morning?

The scent of strong office coffee filled the air, and your stomach churned. Natasha, back early somehow from her sun-soaked leave, swept into the office with an energy that was both a relief and a source of fresh anxiety.

How was Natasha going to react? was the question that ran through your mind. As much as it would be entertaining to watch her go through it, literally, it would also create chaos. Fun chaos but also a point of no return.

The morning was a slow, agonizing crawl. You were drowning in last-minute details for the JW Blue Label Dinner event, the pressure building with every unanswered email and ringing phone. You felt like you’d been running a marathon uphill, and Jungkook was still conspicuously absent. Typical.

Then, the elevator doors parted, and there he was. Jungkook. But… different. He was dressed in a crisp white shirt, a slim tie, and tailored pants. It was a stark contrast to his usual casual attire.

“Seriously?” you drawled, leaning back in your chair, your voice laced with playful disbelief. “You’re dressed like you’re going to a board meeting. Did someone finally tell you we’re not a streetwear company?”

“Also you didn’t even dress up when you came for your interview here,” You added, amused, which earned chuckles from both Mingyu and Shane. Jungkook dramatically rolled his eyes.

He grinned, striking a pose that was more runway model than office worker. “You know I clean up well.” He winked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Maybe I can rizz Natasha up.”

And on count, along with you, Shane made a disgusted face.

Mingyu, perched precariously on your desk, nearly choked on his coffee. “Rizz Natasha? Dude, you’re going to give her a heart attack.”

Shane, sprawled across his chair, rolled his eyes dramatically. “Please, he’s got the ‘charm’ of a wet sock.”

You joined them, a playful eye roll of your own. “Oh, please,” you said, your voice dripping with sarcasm. “You couldn’t ‘rizz up’ a goldfish.”

“Ouch,” Jungkook chuckled, taking his seat, a mock-hurt expression on his face. “And for your information, I was held up. Had a few… delicate matters to attend to.”

“Delicate matters?” you asked, raising an eyebrow. “Like what? And are we sure we are talking to Jeon Jungkook?” Mingyu and Shane grinned.

“You guys really take me for granted,” he said dramatically, his eyes twinkling. “And don’t worry your pretty little head about it.”

“Also I won’t be here for long so you guys better start respecting me,” He chuckled and that realisation hit you again. You quickly looked away, hoping he hadn’t noticed the way your heart skipped a beat.

It didn’t go unnoticed by Jungkook how your facial expression had changed when he said that.

Mingyu and Shane awkwardly glanced between the two of you, with Shane not being able to control his awkwardness.

“Sure, anyways,” Shane rolled his eyes dramatically and tried to divert the topic.

Before the conversation could go further, Yuna and Taehyung appeared at the entrance to the CS department. It was a rare sight for them to come here. Willingly. The design studio was their sanctuary, a realm of relative calm in the midst of the everyday office chaos.

“Lunch?” Yuna asked, her voice bright and cheerful. “It’s one-thirty already. You two have to leave by four, right?”

You glanced at the clock on your computer screen. One-thirty? How had the time flown by so quickly? You looked at Jungkook, and he had the same shocked expression. He really only had two hours left.

“Oh my god, you’re right!” you exclaimed, your stomach suddenly growling in protest. “Let’s go.”

The cafeteria was a rush of noise, the usual lunch crowd in full swing. You, Jungkook, Mingyu, Shane, Yuna, Taehyung, Namjoon, Jin, Hobi, Yoongi, Iseul, Jimin, and Dae found a large table in the corner, the “Survivors” gang ready for their midday break. At this point they had kept that large table just for you guys. Everyone in the office knew about your tight knit friendship which was built on office trauma.

“So,” Yuna started, her eyes fixed on Jungkook, her voice laced with curiosity. “Are you doing it? Today?”

Jungkook nodded, taking a large bite of his sandwich. “Yep. Today’s the day,”

“Nervous?” Taehyung asked, his eyes filled with a mix of amusement and concern.

Jungkook shrugged, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. “A little. But it has to be done.”

Shane, ever the curious one, leaned forward, his eyes wide with anticipation. “Can we watch?”

“Shane!” Yuna scolded, her cheeks flushing, but you could see the glint of amusement in her eyes.

“What? I’m just curious!” Shane defended himself, throwing his hands up in mock surrender.

“No but seriously can we?” You said, amused, and that earned you a high five from Shane. Is it obvious that joking is your coping mechanism?

“We’re all curious,” Mingyu admitted, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “I want to see Natasha’s face when he drops the bomb.”

“Imagine her face,” Hobi said, “It will be a masterpiece of shock and disbelief.”

“I’m sure she’ll take it well,” Jin said, his voice laced with sarcasm. “She’s known for her calm and reasonable reactions.” This earned a laugh from everyone. Thankfully no else in the lunchroom could hear you all.

“She’ll probably throw a fit,” Yoongi muttered, taking a sip of his coffee. “Or maybe she’ll just ignore him completely.”

“Or maybe she’ll cry,” Iseul suggested, her eyes twinkling. “A single, dramatic tear rolling down her cheek.”

“I’ll pay to watch this,” Both Shane and Mingyu said at the same time.

“Or maybe she will just give him a raise,” Jimin said, and everyone burst out laughing.

“You know what? That’s a possibility,” You added.

Lunch passed quickly, filled with jokes, laughter, and a healthy dose of nervous energy. As the time approached, the tension within the group grew.

“Okay, it’s almost time,” Shane whispered, checking his watch, his eyes darting towards Natasha’s office. “Ten minutes to D-Day.”

You all found yourselves hovering near Natasha’s cabin, trying to look casual, but failing miserably. Shane was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, his eyes glued to the door. Even Yuna, usually so composed, was fidgeting nervously, adjusting her earrings every few seconds.

Finally, Jungkook took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and walked towards Natasha’s office. The door clicked shut behind him, and the “Survivors” gang held their breath, a collective gasp escaping their lips.

“Good luck,” is all you said when he entered her cabin and gave you a weak smile. Something that Yuna and Namjoon picked up on and smirked to themselves.

You had to be supportive. For him.

Minutes ticked by, each one feeling like an eternity. You could hear muffled voices from inside, but couldn’t make out any words. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.

Then, the door opened, and Jungkook stepped out. His expression was… unreadable. He looked at you all, a small, almost cryptic smile playing on his lips.

“Well?” Shane blurted out, his voice a high-pitched squeak. Of course Shane was the first one wanting to clock the tea.

Jungkook glanced at Natasha, who was watching them from her desk, her eyes narrowed. He smirked. “We’ll discuss in the GC.”

A collective groan went up from the group, a chorus of disappointment.

“Natasha’s watching us like a hawk,” Jungkook explained, his voice low, his eyes still on her. “She’s probably got a recording device hidden somewhere.”

The group dispersed, trying to look busy, but the excitement was palpable, a tangible energy buzzing through the air.

Jungkook walked over to you, his eyes searching for yours. “Ready to go?” he asked, his voice softer than usual.

You looked at him, a strange mix of curiosity and something else—a flutter of nerves—in your chest. “Yeah,” you said, your voice slightly breathless.

The two of you gathered your things and headed out of the office. As you walked towards his car, Jungkook finally broke the silence.

“So,” he began, his voice slightly hesitant, “it’s done.”

“Yeah,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. “How did it go?”

“It… it went okay,” he said, a small smile playing on his lips. “Natasha wasn’t exactly thrilled, but she didn’t throw a fit either.”

“That’s… good,” you said, your eyes fixed on the pavement.

He opened the car door for you, a gentlemanly gesture that only heightened the tension. As you slid into the passenger seat, you couldn’t help but notice the way his hand lingered on the door, a brief moment of contact that sent a shiver down your spine.

“Does chivalry come with the attire?” You joked your awkwardness away and he huffed in a playful manner.

He then closed the door and walked around to the driver’s side. As he started the engine, the silence stretched, thick and heavy.

The car ride was filled with the tension, which was now familiar to both you and Jungkook, a heavy silence that hung in the air.

No matter how hard you tried, even the awkward jokes, yes, that uneasy feeling stayed with you.

“I know you can’t keep this in your stomach longer, JK. Just tell me what exactly happened in that cabin,” You said and Jungkook chuckled.

“Fine, fine,” Jungkook said and here goes his story time.

Inside Natasha’s office, Jungkook stood before her desk, his heart pounding in his chest. He’d rehearsed this moment a hundred times, but now, the words seemed to catch in his throat.

“So what brings you here?” This is how Natasha starts the conversation. Jungkook knew he was done for.

“Natasha I wanted to talk about something,” he began, his voice steady, and her eyes tried to gauge for what was coming next, “I’ve accepted another position.”

Natasha’s eyes widened slightly, but her expression remained composed. “Oh?” she said, her voice cool and professional. “And where might you be going?”

“An event company,” Jungkook said, his voice firm. “They focus on live concerts, world tours—it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”

Natasha leaned back in her chair, her eyes narrowing slightly. “And when were you planning on telling me this?”

“Today,” Jungkook said, his voice unwavering. “I wanted to give you ample notice.”

Natasha nodded, her expression unreadable. “And how much notice do you consider ample Jungkook?”

“Two weeks,” Jungkook said. He was confident about this, something that didn’t sit well with her.

Natasha’s eyes flickered towards the door, where the rest of the team was trying to look inconspicuous. “Very well,” she said, her voice clipped. “We’ll discuss the details later once Kim Song is back in town. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do.”

Jungkook nodded, a sense of relief washing over him. He turned and walked out of the office, and now his eyes met yours.

“Bitch,” is what you said once Jungkook was done sharing. Jungkook couldn’t help but chuckle. You were on a roll today.

“This is how she reacts when you tell her you are leaving,” You said annoyed. Natasha was selfish, yes, but this is genuinely not how you expected the conversation to go. Maybe she was better at taking news than you.

“I think you just wanted more drama, ___” Jungkook mused.

“Duh!” You said as a matter of factly. "She acted nothing like Monotoya," He laughed.

“Wait, didn’t you react like that?” He teased you.

Oh hell no. He didn’t just say that. Was there a way he was inside your mind?

“You wish!” You said a little too quickly.

“Believe me I do,” He laughed.

Yes he was joking. He had to be. Right?

“Wishful thinking,” You said and ended the conversation there.

The car ride continued, the silence less heavy now, but still filled with an undercurrent of tension. You could feel Jungkook’s gaze on you every now and then, but you avoided his eyes, your heart pounding in your chest.

The weight of unspoken words still hung in the air, but now, it was mixed with a sense of anticipation, a feeling that something was about to shift, to change.

The JW Blue Label Dinner event was in full swing, the venue transformed into a sophisticated space, all blue lighting, a nod to Blue Label and the rich aroma of aged whiskey. You were a whirlwind of activity, ensuring every detail was perfect, a well-oiled machine in your element. Rowoon, the client, had arrived early, a familiar face amidst the pre-event hustle.

Rowoon was the best client you had. In fact, when you and Jungkook had started working together, Rowoon was the first client the two of you dealt with without Natasha’s inteference.

“You know, ___,” Rowoon said, leaning against a nearby table, “you always make these events look effortless. It’s like magic.”

You chuckled, adjusting the floral arrangement. “Magic and a lot of caffeine, Rowoon.”

“Well, whatever you’re doing, it’s working,” he said, his eyes scanning the room. “Everything looks phenomenal.”

“Thanks,” you said, a genuine smile spreading across your face. “We’re just hoping it lives up to the Blue Label standard.”

Rowoon nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Speaking of standards, where’s your partner in crime? I haven’t seen Jungkook yet.”

“He’s around,” you said, glancing towards the far side of the room. “Probably making sure the whiskey display is perfect.”

As if it was known to him that his name was brought up in the conversation, just then Jungkook joins the conversation, a relaxed smile on his face. "Hey, guys. Everything set?"

"Absolutely," Rowoon said, clapping Jungkook on the shoulder. "You've outdone yourselves. The whiskey display is a work of art. Really sets the tone."

"Thanks, Rowoon," Jungkook said, a hint of pride in his voice. "We wanted to make sure it was something special."

"You two always deliver," Rowoon said, his gaze shifting between you and Jungkook. "It's like you can read each other's minds."

Something so simple yet made you feel tense.

You chuckled, "We've worked together long enough, I guess."

"Speaking of which," Jungkook said, his tone casual, almost offhand, "I've got some news,” Rowoon looked at him, intrigued. “I'm actually moving on to another company." Jungkook continued.

The announcement, dropped so casually, hung in the air for a moment. Rowoon's eyebrows rose slightly. "Seriously? When did that happen?"

"Just today," Jungkook said, shrugging slightly.

"Wow, that's a big step," Rowoon said, his voice sincere. "Congratulations, Jungkook. But, man, you two make a great team. It's a shame to see you split up."

“Yep this one is leaving us,” You weren’t sure why it came out this way. You swear you weren’t trying to be mean but it’s like your mind had no control when that slipped up.

You immediately looked towards Jungkook and saw a flicker of something in his gaze, a mix of regret and something else you couldn't quite decipher.

You immediately regretted it.

“But I’m happy for him. Finally going to live his dream,” You said genuinely and patted his back. Rowoon smiled at the camaraderie.

Not wanting to see Jungkook’s reaction further, you excused yourself with a quick, "I need to check on the catering," and moved away, leaving Jungkook and Rowoon to continue their conversation.

As you walked away, Jungkook's gaze followed you. He watched as you navigated the room, your movements graceful and efficient. He saw the way you interacted with the catering staff, your instructions clear and concise, your demeanor calm and collected.

You were truly in your element, he thought, a sense of admiration washing over him. He knew you were so good at what you did. Proud - was the word he always felt for you but also admired. He admired you, was grateful he worked with you and learnt so much from you.

But it wasn’t just those feelings he felt for you.

He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his thoughts. Maybe it was just the event. The atmosphere. The pressure.

But deep down, he knew it was more than that. He knew that something was shifting, something was changing. That you both were changing.

Rowoon cleared his throat, bringing Jungkook back to the present. "So, you're really leaving? That's a big change. Where are you headed?"

"An event company that focuses on concerts and tours," Jungkook said, his eyes still subconsciously drifting towards your retreating figure. "It's always been my passion."

"That's fantastic, Jungkook," Rowoon said, patting him on the shoulder. "You'll do great. But seriously, like I said earlier, you and ___ are a force to be reckoned with. It's a shame to see you split up."

"Yeah," Jungkook said, his voice low. "It is."

"You know," Rowoon continued, "I've always admired the way you two work together. It's like you have this… unspoken understanding. You just click."

Jungkook nodded, his gaze still fixed on you. "Yeah, we do."

"It's rare to find that kind of synergy," Rowoon said, shaking his head slightly. "You're going to be hard to replace."

"Thanks, Rowoon," Jungkook said, a small smile playing on his lips. "I appreciate that."

The conversation shifted back to the event, the details of the evening, the guest list. But the undercurrent of Jungkook's announcement lingered, a subtle tension that hung in the air.

The event was a success. As it was expected from both of you.

“Goodnight, __ See you in hell tomorrow,” Jungkook said and you laughed and opened the door of his car.

“Hey! At least you have a countdown to leave,” Look how the tables have turned. You were joking about this situation now, knowing damn well, you were gonna overthink this once he leaves.

And that’s what happens when he leaves once you reach the gate of your apartment building, a habit he had, you noticed. Always only leaves once you enter the gate, even though he is the one who was always dropping you.

Kinda made you feel something.

Once you entered the lobby and went towards the elevator, you heard a ting sound on your phone. At least that distracted you from the overthinking that was going to happen later. It was 12AM, who was texting you at this hour?

You opened your phone to check and saw this notification.

your voice played back through the video. you admired Tara's smile. Tara was your girlfriend, but very little people knew that.

although all of your fans knew you were bisexual, no one knew Tara was as well. she had always been scared of coming out. she didn't want backlash from some of her fans, and you knew that would break her heart. you never pressured her to come out or announce that you were dating. title: hell's favorite secretary [sneak peak] pairing : Devil!Ryomen Sukuna x F!Lost soul!reader [based on the webtoon 'the devil is a handsome man', DC Comics "Lucifer", and the book and video game 'Dante's inferno'] Genre: Alternate Universe-Hell, angst, mystery/thriller, mild horror, romance, slow burn, hell au, dark comedy, lost soul x devil au

Summary: The faceless man shrouded in mystery tends to be a subject of rumors and false pretenses, but you'd think otherwise when you accidentally caught sight of those grueling red eyes.

General warning for the story: graphic depictions of heavy gore (manslaughter, mayhem, and torture), and explicit sexual scenes, more will be added per chapter. this will be exclusively released in ao3 in december <3 Notes: after reading a couple of pages of dante's inferno, reading lucifer (the comic book), and the devil is a handsome man, it sort of struck my interest to write this story! this is a pretty long series and im actually so excitied to write this lol.

if you're a person heavily practicing the catholic faith, i won't recommend reading this series as this talks and leans on the devil (i'm not a satanist pls), he's not glorified here in anyways but I do recall people who lean heavily on the faith are not fond of reading any media depictions of the devil.

There are possibly hundreds of artworks about the devil.

The most famous one is that snake hanging off the forbidden tree or, better yet, a half-animal and half-human. Others would be an ugly babe falling down from the heavens. The most popular modern one would be the one in red with horns on his head, yet your boss did not resemble any of those impressions. Instead, he wore a three-piece suit and had a hole right in the middle of his face.

Yes, you heard that right.

A hole.

All you could see was an empty void of black nothingness. Nobara had said that Sukuna – yes, the devil went by that name — would never show his face to lost souls like you because, as an angel before, seeing him in his proper form would result in instantaneous combustion.

Despite that good reason, talking to him was still disconcerting. The whole situation remained to be anomalous.

The ringing thoughts about your previous conversation with your workmate replay in your head like a broken record, your eyes trickling on the piles of paperwork across the window that revealed your boss leaning against the table with his usual outfit and pink tufts of hair neatly styled away.

You recalled meeting him for the first time and wondering why he seemed somewhat familiar. You had overtly eyed him up and down. Despite the hole in his face, he had caught on quickly and asked what exactly you were doing. Until now, you couldn’t understand the physics behind how he could even see you and talk.

You purse your lips in deep thought as lines form in the middle of your head. You don’t even feel your boss walking up to you on your desk, “Seems like someone’s head is up in the clouds this morning.” he points out.

You immediately sat up straight, your shoulders squared, “Sukuna, Sir…” you jumped, eyeing him somewhat warily.

Despite how he made you feel, the devil was not exactly a strict boss.

He’s rather lax and did not mind procrastination and passing your work at the last minute as long as you did it well. He works on proper hours, gives vacation and leaves, and an appropriate timetable for lunch breaks.

He’s hard to hate for a being who's been blamed for man’s misfortune since time immemorial.

“Was the long weekend still not enough?”

“I’m not exactly a sloth, Sir,” you mumble to yourself, but he catches onto your words and remains unphased. It's uncharacteristic for you to say anything more to him, but you needed a good starter for this conversation to get on, “...Although, I-uh…I do have a question…You remembered our contract, sir?”

One thing that humans were able to grasp correctly about hell and its king is the contract signing and how the devil gives out favors in exchange for something you truly hold dear. For you, since you’re a lost soul, in exchange for changing your status, you’d give proper work hours and help him capture at least eight hundred itinerants.

You’re running on two hundred and fifty so far.

“Oh?” he leans in closer, “That’s not something we talk about every day.” his body language remains fluid and guileless as if he wanted you to speak your mind more, and it only made your palms sweaty despite the coldness of the room, “Would you like to change some conditions? while im still john procrastinating heres uhh really REALLYshitty doodle of my helldivers oc that i have also been Not working on WHY DOES the image blur. we ball itsokay im gonna ramble under the cut because i really like him.

NO first names we die like helldivers if you will. hes called hawkins and is THE #1 super earth propaganda guy. they love him. dudes like blonde hair blue eyes conventionally attractive shit. pretty good soldier too. charming bastard who absolutely knows everyone loves him and takes advantage of that. after a while of being a helldiver and realizing how much it all sucks, he came to the conclusions that. a) everyone is expendable and will die sooner rather than later. b) cadets are Very easy to manipulate. c) it really sucks to watch people die and be aware that its your fault. and d) literally all of the propaganda is bullshit. but who cares, yknow!! hes famous!!!! the people love him!!! so he doesn't do anything about the fucked up situation that super earths gotten literally every helldiver into and just acts like everyone's gonna be fine. because at the end of the day, he'll be fine. because of his well-known status, typically he takes charge of easier missions, just to help newer recruits and shit. which boosts morale!! hooray!!! on missions he lowkey tries to be as patient and helpful as possible, which is only kind of a facade. he actually cares about the people, but he knows they're going to die when he's not with them anymore. so hes detached, yknow. do you understand. its complicated. its Very easy for him to move on from things for that exact reason. ohh boy there's so much stuff i could go on about. i love him dearly.

so. on a higher stakes mission hes doing his thing yknow fighting for democracy and some idiot loser cadet is doing the same but much worse and gets cornered by a bile spewer. and because hawkins is such a great guy he shields the cadet from the bile.with his body. and that shit melts through him man. im talkin cape, armor, bros fucking spine. but the cadets fine :)) just a little traumatized but we ball. fuck them though this is about hawkins. hes carried to extraction or something that part lowkey doesn't matter. what does though is the fact he literally cannot do shit anymore. so super earths like oh nooo! our favorite guy! lets just completely replace his spine and try out some automaton technology and shit!!! so hes got a metal spine now isn't that fucking sick!? super earth kinda half-asses the explanation they give hawkins too like they don't even give him the full rundown of what they did to him. but he can fight for democracy again so that's all that matters!

baizhu is the kind of friend who's always on top of your health—mental, physical, or otherwise. he'll always remind you to take breaks if you've been working on something for a long time. he'll remind you to eat if you're the kind of person who forgets to. he'll remind you to take any meds if you have them, and if you run out? don't worry, he'll refill your prescription for you (only after very thoroughly assesing you to make sure the medications you take are right for your body's needs, of course). he's honestly quite doting! very attentive to your needs overall. i also like to think he's keen on listening to you talk about your interests or hobbies. he listens and remembers.

beidou is the fun friend who'll take you on all her fun adventures, and if you can't accompany her for any reason, she's happy to relay her tales to you! she's got storytelling skills comparable to only the most famous, admired bards and poets from all across teyvat, even if she herself isn't really aware of it. she's the kind of friend who can take you on all kinds of fun adventures—whether those adventures be out on the wild sea or on sturdy land, she's your lady if you're looking for a bit of a thrill. she'll definitely keep you very safe, too. she's strong enough to protect both herself and you, so don't worry about running into trouble (which is definitely a bit inevitable if you accompany her around). she'll take care of it!

qiqi is the kind of friend who's like your clingy little sister. see, once she actually manages to remember your face and name, she will virtually never forget it. she has a little page dedicated to you and everything about you in her journal. qiqi never wants to forget you, so she does her best to remember! she'll follow you around like a lost duckling, cling to your sleeve, or lay her head comfortably on your shoulder if you're both willing and able to carry her. she also reminds you to take care of yourself... she has, without a doubt, picked up this habit from baizhu, but it's nonetheless very touching. she'll make little handmade gifts for you, maybe she'll pick flowers and give them to you. everything she does for you is soft and endearing. qiqi is very much like an attached baby sister, indeed.

xiao is the kind of friend who's always there for you... at least, physically, anyway. he doesn't have the words to comfort you very well and he can be a bit standoffish and quiet, but he will be there if you need him. getting close to xiao is no easy task, so if you manage to, he'll definitely hold you very dear to his heart and would never forgive himself if he were to let something happen to you. he'll always be there to fend off any danger that threatens your safety; all you have to do is call out for him. he'll be there. he swears it. he's the one you can sit in calm, safe silence with. there's no pressure to fill the quiet with small talk. xiao is someone who could simply enjoy your presence without needing all the conversation to go with it (but i totally think he'd listen if you talked).

zhongli is the kind of friend who's so willing and delighted to share his knowledge with you. if you want him to talk, he can, and can do so for as long as you're willing to listen, even if that is for hours. he could even talk you to sleep if you so desired (who wouldn't fall asleep listening to the soothing tones of his voice, really?). he's the one you could take with you to museums or libraries or ancient ruins if you're into that kind of thing—if he happens to recognize something while you're out and exploring some ruins, he'll offer to tell you about them! he's so poor at hiding the fact that he was morax, so honestly... yeah, he might never tell you directly, but surely you could figure it out on your own? regardless of if he tells you, if he doesn't... i doubt it would change anything.
