i. feel and have always felt since im a little kid so incredibly guilty about, existing. about being a burden to my parents. being something that they have to spend time and money on. and it only got worse and worse the older i got and the more difficult it became to parent me and the more i understood about what being an adult and a parent meant. but specifically, i feel very guilty about my mom

because, im not a good daughter. and i know that. im hard to deal with with and i cant receive criticism or the slightest discipline without freaking out and ive threated to and did hurt myself and its, gotta be hard. its gotta be tiring. and as much as ive been getting better ab it i for long didnt do shit around the house and i didnt do homework and didnt clean my room and i say i do this all because im mentally ill or whatever but isnt she too? isnt she more? doesnt she have trauma and on top of it has tk work all day and take care of a teenager and a husband and a house?? and doesnt she do it, while i dont, because i say i cant? and even if i know all that, im aware of the burden i must be and everything i do wrong, i cant change, because ive tried so ill only lay there and feel guilty while she keeps having to do everything without a moment of rest?

but i also cant help resenting her and being mad because her being stressed and tired just inevitably ends up in her hurting me, over and over and over again, and making me feel like shit and her not really recognizing the fact that i am a person and i have feelings and am not just a robot or a doll she got to be her perfect daughter who never has negative feelings or gets hurt by things she does. but dont i end up treating her the same way? and its a cicle bc she gets stressed and lashes out at me and i get worse and worse which causes me to be more useless and unstable which causes her to have to do more and be more stressed and we both get mad at each other and. neither of us are gonna be the bigger person, neither of us are going to let it go. and this will just keep going forever. until i move out and we can get a break.

ill never be able to make up for the ways ive ruined her life by merely existing and being the way i am, and i'll carry forever with me all the ways she messed me up. we're both just gonna have to live with this, forever, and eventually push it down enough we'll act like a normal adult daughter and her old mother around each other

my own hibari headcanons

been meaning to write down my list of hcs for a while anyway, and now i have the occasion to get to it! among the others im gonna add what i decided to avoid putting under this post and give more details about what i already wrote there

content/trigger warnings: death, assassination, mental illness, eating disorders

the list will be under the cut! it excludes my strictly shippy hcs and i may update it over time

first things first. like my own blog title suggests, i hc hibari as a trans guy.  i’m trans myself, so this is arguably the hc of mine im the most attached to for personal comfort reasons LOL. it all started when i read a fic about trans hibari a few years ago and later on i got more and more fond of this transcanon, becoming 100% personal. i also hc that he doesnt feel dysphoric. as for his sexuality i hc him as gay

we know that hibari and fon are relatives. my idea is that they’re step-brothers (different mother), and long lost to that. NOW. i realize that with the assumption of fon’s age, them being siblings is unlikely, but it shouldn’t be impossible. their father could be old enough. he got married to a chinese woman who gave birth to fon, then divorced, then got married again to a japanese woman, kyouya’s mom. (i kinda based this on my irls situation, where because of the parents’ second marriage there is at least a good 20 years of gap between the oldest and youngest sibling)

the hibari family was part of the yakuza. to answer a question that was made to me: i agree that hibari “just liking fighting” isnt funny at all. i heavily believe that there’s a psychological reason to his behavior but im going to talk about this in another point below. i also think that hibari was probably the heir to the clan, but here in my head hibari is still too young for it, like 5-6 years old.

when hibari was a child his parents got killed in the hibari household. how could they get killed in their own house, didn’t they have enough protection? they did. but the guard was low considering who turned out to be their murderers were old, trusted allies. kyouya only survived because he managed to hide properly and long enough. he didnt witness the assassination but he did see his parents in a pool of blood after everything ended. before dying, his mom left a last message to him: be stronger than anyone else. because of the trauma, even in the present hibari avoids going back to that house as much as he can and especially he never reopens the door of the crime scene. hibari also still grows into a delinquent, but he dislikes the mafia world and wishes he didnt have to be involved with it

for a while, hibari is in fon’s mother’s custody. here is when he meets fon for the first time, over time they get very attached to one another, but because of the arcobaleno matters, fon goes disappearing, and hibari ends up assuming fon has died and left him behind just like this parents did. fon reappears and goes to meet hibari in occasion of the arcobaleno representative battles and of course wit trauma resurface and about 10 years of beliefs and assumptions hibari really, really struggles with this reunion, but eventually they bond again. (for this one i dont take into account the events in the anime only arcobaleno trial events, as well as the fact that we see all the arcobalenos revived at the end of the future arc)

hibari has an antisocial personality disorder (which implies he already had conduct disorders before the age of 15). it explains his violent and criminal behavior, as well as the fact that he doesn’t feel guilty for anything he does. he also suffers from ptsd and has eating disorders (i thought about the avoidant food intake, where, among the other symptoms, a person avoids to extreme levels some types of food because of characteristics such as their pattern or their color and generally lacks appetite/interest in food)

(wears my enneagram nerd hat) HIBARI IS A TYPE EIGHT. 8w7 precisely, aka the maverick. all about type eight is basically a call out to hibari lmfao but here’s the most relevant characteristics: eights are the real stand-alones of the enneagram. eights’ basic fear is to be harmed and controlled by others, and they steel up to prevent their basic fear from happening (or happening again). below the tough facade there is a vulnerability that cant be shown to anyone. their virtue is innocence, an innocence that they once and forever lost, and hibari basically lost it when his family was assassinated. eights are also associated to the deadly sin of lu st. for hibari its not necessarily the ns fw kinda lu st, rather bloodlu st. and its one big paradox because eights want to be in control of their surroundings, but being consumed by lu st means being under something/someone else’s control (and so we’re back to the basic fear). unhealthy eights are violent, despotic, reckless. all things we see in hibari. very unhealthy eights are also those who typically may develop the antisocial disorder, reason why i listed it above

since he wants to dominate his environment, hibari controls over the namimori and especially the school to feel “security”. he managed it through illegal means and pretty much lives in the school, namichuu is also one of the few places where usually he can sleep without having nightmares

yes, hibari loves sleeping but also he gets nightmares about his past more often than not

but i also love imagining hibari gradually healing and recovering from his trauma, so i do hc that in adulthood he’s mentally doing better. he can be a leader without being tyrannical. he can be strong while also acknowledging his own vulnerability. he is able to love again, too

the reason why he has a soft spot for little animals and children, like we see for ipin, is that he (unconsciously?) sees in them the innocence he himself lost. plus tiny and cute things help him cope when he is having episodes

he also treats ipin well because she is fon’s pupil. and i love to think of them as a little family

if hibari has a ring he really likes or is emotionally attached to he makes sure to never wear it on his fingers so he doesnt risk breaking it with his flames

hibari is pretty much a nerd, in his own twisted way. i mean. he’s seen reading in a bunch of official arts and we know that he’s very fond of the wonders of the world, he started up the foundation for his box researches and he knows well how illusions work - which means he studied them. since he was moved by his hatred towards mukuro, his illusion studies must have reached an unhealthy level, becoming an obsession

for hibari, finding out he has mist flames too was very much of a shock, but he eventually accepts it. he only uses those flames if really needed (like the foundation entry camouflage)

and then you saw the zillow ad for a nice house on a small island called kaos. for the first time in forever, something besides ice caught your attention. it was an impulse decision, and a quick move. she waited until both of her parents were out of the house to have all of her things collected, and just like that, she was gone. vanished. no word as to where she was going other than a note that read ‘see you whenever.’ it’s been six months since then, and she has no plans on leaving kaos anytime soon.

iii. wanted plots !!! im also super duper open to brainstorming things of our own ! these are just ideas !!!

1. the former best friend - this is someone that she spent a good majority of her time with before her mother limited interactions with people. they did everything together, whether it be watching a movie or trying to see how long they can get away with hiding in a grocery store after they close. it’s been nearly four years since they’ve spoken, and this might be one of the only people to bring a genuine reaction out of her.

2. the almost, the maybe, the “there’s something there” - they met recently. or maybe they met awhile ago. could work either way. this person was almost successful in attempting to worm their way into her heart. almost, however, is the key word in that statement. having gone so long without genuine human interaction outside of her sport, she hadn’t realized just how much she had longed for a friend. and then, she suddenly liked them as more then a friend, and that was when ella cut off everything. she’ll never admit it, but the idea of building a connection with someone terrified her.

3. the rival - oh, these two do not like each other. the why is something that can be discussed, but just know that there was some sort of altercation that led to the level of dislike between the two of them. could it possibly change ?? maybe so. i’d actually like to see how that pans out. however, as of right now, the most they do is snipe at one another mercilessly

whether or not hes done drugs is based on absolutely nothing besides how im feeling in that moment. either hes the designated driver and sober friend forever or he got fired from his job after doing a line at work during graveyard with some random customers theres no inbetween (this absolutely happened @ waho. if dave works at waho hes a mess of a person and thats on the diner itself.)

ok look i hc dave w/schizophrenia besides when i was 14 i had a hyperfixation with learning about it and then at 16 was prescribed a medication and had side effects so wack my therapist genuinely thought 14 yr old me was onto something and its a weird way to cope with the idea that lady put in my head that i might “develop it in my twenties” which i turn 20 this year and i havent been able to stop obsessing and panicking over the prospect so PLEASE dont come in my inbox calling me ableist im not out here all harley quinn in suicide squad with the voices ok hes medicated, he goes to therapy, the hard fast delusion that lil cal was nearly sentient and informed bro of every single thing dave did no matter how asinine it was is no longer a debilitatingly affecting him ANYWAYS

i actually use the chicken/egg farming family pretty often just because its hilarious to me to give dave like. an actual mom and dad. hes literally an uncle to like three different kids he just never visits because they make fun of his skinny jeans and he hates one of his (incredibly bare-bones ocs all of them) brothers who threatened to bash his head in with a little league bat after dave broke his star wars lego set apart on accident (but not rlly) so their parents were like “why dont you stay with your brother in the big city for a lil while champ” and then they just never picked him back up? and thats on favoritism 

the other one is that his name is actually david reed and hes the middle child of a family of three who literally live the standard golden retriever white middle class life only they went to disney land or something equally as dumb one year when dave was like 6 and he wandered off so bro literally just went “huh free game” because frankly he was an idiot who thought maybe i should take this kid home because its real dangerous in parking lots and then it was too late to NOT have it seem like a kidnapping and thats why daves never had a summer job, seen his birth certificate, or gone to school. but vaguely remembers what kindergarten was like and having a pet dog and calling someone mom as a kid. 

im not making a bullet point about his sex life headcanons just use your imagination and acknowledge the fact bro essentially worked within the sex industry and i enjoy putting dave through trauma as a catharsis 

i stopped doing this one usually but if he did go to school hes been in percussion since fifth grade and played the drums in his high schools jazz band as well as various edgy teenager garage bands he likes to pretend dont have a youtube presence and that hes absolutely never been shirtless in front of plenty of his classmates because he wore a hoodie to a show like an idiot. idk occasionally ill put him in an actual band he doesnt hate but keeps separate from his lil turntechGodhead internet persona (which i will ALSO touch upon in a sec) until they wind up getting looped into a tour with some bigger named band that has a show in *insert beta kid here*’s city and hes gotta come clean solely so he can visit his online friend. sorry derseasterous thats the one time weve ever run into each other and i made him have a crush on one of his bandmates i was in my anti-daverose phase where i made dave a hoe and also didnt want to admit i still loved the ship all these years later 

i hate it so much but you know the whole vr loli trap voice shit that was popular a while ago? hes fucking baller at it for some reason. he did it as a joke while talking to bro and they both about shat their pants. if im feeling real ambitious, hes got a separate soundcloud solely dedicated to doing dumbass rap covers or making his own but in the voice under the pseudonym elizabeth “beth” davids that he will never admit is his. well, he will, but hes gonna be really fucking embarrassed about it. irony or not.

talking abt seperate soundclouds and stuff ive always had it where turntechGodhead was his like. essentially internet fucking persona facade shit he used because we all had that phase where we wanted memorable urls and stuff but also didnt want to totally ignore the nagging fear of people finding you in real life, until it turned into real life ppl finding you on the internet. so he also has basically an adjacent set of social media under the same name but its just a boring username i havent decided on so everyone he knows irl doesnt mix up with what hes made for himself as TG and the people he knows as TG dont know what highschool he goes to. (this occasionally comes with the territory of ppl on parp being pissed that daves “lying” or “hiding things” from his friends as if he was doing it out of spite instead of just keeping embarrassing tagged photos and videos from football games or when he ate shit at the skatepark from fucking with his “rap career”)

every once in a while i get on a kick where hes just german. like, i just replace houston texas with hamburg germany and have him apply to a university in whatever state is applicable for whoever im chatting with and it goes from there? sometimes he moved when he was little and went through the whole visa thing, sometimes he didnt go through the visa thing, sometimes hes a dual citizen because of family and shit, its all dependent on what suits the situation best. 

one that ive been fucking with for a while but hardly break out (until recently with like 5 roses in the span of one day hell yeah) is that he has a neighbor at the end of the hall who is like a thousand year old witch lady that hes basically adopted as his mother figure in lieu of not having one and shes totally cool with it, especially bc when she kicks the bucket she fully plans on giving dave all her occult stuff so her figure-skating coach and realtor daughter doesnt sell it at a garage sale and lets it all go to waste. she also once brought rose up by name in a conversation without any prompting of her existence which dave didnt realize for days, and then one time cryptically stopped and stared at an empty space in the wall, went “she has potential, you know.” then looked at him sitting on her kitchen counter with a smile “lots of it” and hes thought about that weekly ever since. (it is important to note one of the occult items he leaves her is literally her own personal book of shadows shes been filling out for decades its like a 600 page leatherbound book dave has no idea what its used for but the sheer amount of homemade spells and etc in it is like. gonna murder rose the second this chick gets her hands on it i promise you.)

theres the standard strife shit? im not rlly gonna get into those theyre all basically cookie cutter bullshit. its just standard bro and dave abuse talk. i like to inclulde the whole 24hr live cam up in the apartment that definitely watches dave in every room besides his own and the bathroom, but that quickly delves into the prospect of middle-aged men stalking him online and basically sexually harassing him in his own god damn home by talking about how they can see him just trying to take his shoes off in the living room after getting home and frankly? its not one of my best takes! but once you throw it into the headcanon bin, its there forever. 

he actually really does do something with his photography but not enough to warrant anything exciting, but he has his own branding for it and regularly takes pictures of his friends or anything else he thinks is moderately interesting enough to take pictures of, but those are just thrown into shoeboxes under his bed in favor of posting genuine shots because he wants to keep his image intact and blurry photos of jade smiling in the tree they climbed up together while bec paws at the base of it while whining isnt exactly something he wants the whole world to see.

i also pretty often but him into either paleontology OR i put him down as trying to become a mortician because he thinks handing roadkill once he graduated from museum giftshop specimens to doing his own taxidermy on the side has prepared him enough to perform an occasional autopsy and start embalming real human corpses. (sometimes i put my own desires in and make them his bc i have to project at some point and put him through the same EMT course i dropped out of bc it was one semester and he already has pretty decent first aid skills, but he definitely didnt expect it to be as fucking wild at times as it is, but whats he gonna do? get a job back at waffle house? the company hes working for just offered to pay like half his associates in paramedicine tuition and hes already got all his pre-recs done when he started for paleo. at least its a stable job and hes got the ability to be compassionate in the moment) 

im running out of things that ive done to the poor kid. OH 

hes not a virgin he had a girlfriend all four years of high school (shes also one of his optional and designated exes plz keep up) and their relationship ends in one of two ways: she dies in a car accident a week before their high school graduation, or she stops talking to him entirely a week after their high school graduation until a couple years later she gets into (guess what) a car accident with her current wife/girlfriend and dies which leaves behind their daughter. who just so happens to also be daves daughter. her name is hannah and i love her like my own but no one ever likes her and thats on the conditioning of dirk. does dave end up taking her in? yes. shes awesome and the first time he takes her to the park to like run off some fucking steam she disappears for two minutes and dave is moderately terrified until she comes back holding a dead baby squirrel and thats the moment he realizes huh maybe things really do be genetic.

ok at the bottom of the list im gonna add the couple of times hes been a camboy which usually coincides with the live apartment cam thing and the amount of people in his dms calling him hot or whatever, but typically its more of a started the day he turned 18 and basically dipped around 20 in favor of showing up randomly with no warning to complain about a video game dick in hand because it gives him an outlet that wont annoy his friends bc this is the fifteenth time hes had a lot to say this week about a certain boss battle and also the comments fuel his ego and daddy issues.

the last one wasnt the bottom but literally unless its explicitly proven otherwise every time anyone rps with me there is the underlying fact dave strider was a goalie on his high school lacrosse teams all four years and (shocker another one) definitely had the hots for one of his teammates like major hots like first gay experience hots. like it was painfully obvious that teammate also liked him back hots. like one night at a team sleepover one of the other guys was like can yall just makeout and get it over with were fucking tired and dave really had the balls to be offended and ask what the fuck they were talking about while literally sitting halfway in the mans lap bc for some reason they had to share the same chair. 

he is also guilty until proven innocent of being the worlds biggest loner outside of that sports team and even though hes literally a jock he still opts to eat his lunch alone in the hallway or something like that and has a tendency to leave girls on read, but bc hes got an in with the rest of the jocks hes basically drug around to plenty of parties and since hes conventionally attractive enough and popular in the aloof way that he is, hes got plenty of tagged insta posts and twitter directs and snapchat streaks going.

(so its not saying peoplee would think ppl w disfig’ed faces are ugly ..). so he feels so alone. butt hes an awesome opera writer. so he decided to seclude himself in the catacombs under the opera - because he does love the opera (why ? idk it was there for him growing up until he got hurt? idk - and he be writing them to cope w his lonliness and feeling bummed about his face and isolation.). , so thats the closest place that he can still hear itt but still not be seen. :). so christines actually the coolest nicest most talented one there - obviously - so hear everyone else sound so badly and be much more annoying. and the phantom just wrote  this amazing opera. hes been working on it forever and finally wants it to be performed. soo hes dying cause he be living in the gross catacombs forever or whatever - but he pulls himself together and submits it? to whoever, a publisher or whatever? idk i wanted him to have more possession of the opera somehow.. ? oo like maybe he was an opera writer then so he also helped build this opera house but hes been getting embarassed by his face forever so as he was building the house, he consciously built secret passageways (to the catacombs? Or just a place to live?) beneath it, so he could still hear and likee interact w the opera but not be seen . Cause i thought the secret-places being built intoo the opera and navigated was a really cool and fun idea of the story/last movie. idk. ok this is getting complicated but maybee everyone already knowss hes down there and he used to write operas for them and star in them before his accident! and they know hes hiding and know hes around somewhere and still writes operas ? so they still just accept them from him because its not a big deal. yeah hes kinda a myth, but theres someone in the opera who knew him and his story and is on his side and likes him and watches out if he had any more work or for him to oull himself together and come back.

yeah. so then he finishes and finally gives his masterpiece. and daae has heard of him and his story - and can actually hear him praticing the parts of his opera from her dressing room cause it turns out her room is the closest to where he lives in the catacombs. so it gets stuck in her head and she kind of ends up singing the girl parts of it to herself in her room. and he hears her but she doesnt know he does, and he thinks shed be perfect for the role. i dont think that they think each other can hear them. thats why they dont talk to each other invisibly cause i kinda think thats creepy.

so one day she actually decides to go down to the catacombs because she wants to visit her dead parents’ tombs there - is that believable? would that have been a thing to do at that time lols ...???? or else -/also she just really feels and relates to the music she hears and knows theres a catacomb beneather her, and heard of him living down there and she thinks thats bonkers that he with his genius and stuff is just hiding down there for no reason except hes embarassed. :) #stick some body positivity in there! heh.

So then shes like, the heck with it - orr he wasnt gonna have it performed but she keeps hearing the music so beautiful and knows hes down there - so she decides to go get it so she can help him get it performed! aw. - and so shes like fineu know what, ill just go down there myself !. shes like not scared cause..idk. maybe shes like ah aint nothing to worry about . [for some reason..? believable..? maybe..] 

so she follows his voice down there. and she finds him . and hes like fine cool yeah you sound super great i can hear you from down here, you know what youd be cool for this super awesome opera i made. and shes like yea i heard it from upstairs u want me to sing it to you ? and she starts singing it and hes like singing his part w her and hes like oh man i never thought anyoned hear it or sing it with me! dreams . and shes like come let me sing it on stage w you and get it performed. and hes like ah im too scared to show my face. and shes like wellll just show me up there how to make it performed when no ones there. so they sing it together just there on the stage lols. is this lame and repetative? cause they did it in the catacombs too? idk . so then i guess she gets it to be performed and he gets to watch it secretly and hes so glad - theyre like pretty much in love by now lols bc they be practicing it together all this time, even though hes ugly , he was cool so they fell in love anyway. but then - idk how, but somehow, he dies on their last secret performance alone when theyre in love .  he was dying anyway because u cant be healthy underground. but atleast he died in peacee becauseee he finally saw his genius loving opera get to about to be performed. and he got love which is all he wanted in his life anyway.. and to get to keep being a performer/opera composer one more time! so theNN, it gets performed in real life with another man to be in the cast, and idk somehow maybe she ends up getting to fall in love with that guy taking the phantoms place in the play - and the phantom gets to watch the final play performed , but this timee hes actually a phantom ghost lols!! get it? makes much more sense with the title. and hes still a ghost because he still loves her? and wants to see his place performed for real. but thenn the plays over and he sees how well it finally went and how happyy she actually looks with the new guy - and the song they sing is about rememberingg stuff you love but being able to heal and move on if they lose that thing? i guess. and soo, he is able to stop being a ghost, and you see him floating over the whole audience and his opera house in a whoosh with his iconic mask, and disappearing into thin air, because now hes at peace and so doesnt have to be a phantom or ghost of any kind any more!!!! yay.

not a problematic or gross story at all! but still kind of dark, and mixes genres which is cool that i liked. or whatever.

the only thing im having trouble working out is the believability of/ a reason for christine to want to look for him in the catacombs and not be scareddd to. Like what can possess her to want to find him ? Cause its just practicall to nott go with/look fir a stranger in a secluded creepy underground tunnel! ..but i like dont want her to be kidnapped ..!

..cause the original story i thought it was creepy how he kidnaps her or whatever but i want them to like fall it love but not be weird and problematic lol

A/N: So this took me forever to write not only because I’m a lazy piece of shit but also because it was a request that required a lot of build up. I’m sure there was an easier way to go about it but I like to make everything harder than it needs to be. Lol. As you walked up the steps to Wayne Manor you couldn’t help but be nervous. This wasn’t your first rodeo.. you’d been a homeschooling teacher for years. You’d even taught for other high profile families before, but this one was different. Not only was this kid the son of the most important man in Gotham, but he also had a sort of reputation with scaring off his teachers. Many of your coworkers had warned you against taking the job. You were the nicest educator in the district and they didn’t want to see you fall on your face like the others before you. But you insisted that you could handle it.. no child deserved to be given up on, no matter how difficult they were said to be. When you reached the door you straightened up, took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell. When it opened you were greeted by an older man, definitely not the man of the house, but his butler maybe.. He smiled at you, his eyes kind.

“Ms Y/L/N, I presume?” he asks.

You give a polite nod and he steps aside allowing you to walk in. He closes the door behind you before leading you through the house and into the study. All of Damian’s school supplies were set up on the table in the room, yet he was nowhere to be found.

“Master Bruce will be with you shortly..” he informed you before exiting the room.

It wasn’t odd for the parent of the child to want to speak with you on the first day and introduce themselves, but that didn’t stop the anxiety from bubbling up inside you this time. The opinion of a man like Bruce Wayne could make or break your career.. it could be the one thing that determined if you ever found work in this city again and the thought made you want to go back in time and maybe second guess taking this job. You had never been one to back down from a challenge but this definitely was a lot of pressure. You didn’t even have time to form another thought though when he walked in. It took everything in you not to gawk at him. He was just as good looking as everyone had said he was. Of course you’d seen pictures and videos of him before, but it was nothing compared to seeing him in person. He was even taller than you had imagined.. he had raven black hair and the prettiest blue eyes you’d ever seen.

You probably could have admired his appearance all day had he not extended his hand out to you, bringing you back to reality. You shook his hand as he spoke.

“Ms. Y/L/N.. Its very nice to meet you. Im Bruce Wayne. Im glad you could make it on such short notice.. as you know our last instructor left very abruptly.” he said with a gorgeous smile, as if his good  looks could distract you from the fact that his son just might be Satan reincarnate.

You smiled back. “Its no problem at all. I’m really looking forward to meeting Damian.”

He looked at you then with his brows raised. You took it that he probably hadn’t heard that one before.

“Father, Id appreciate it greatly if you would stop flirting with the help..” you heard a voice say from behind you.

You blushed furiously as Bruce scolded his child, and apologized to you. He cleared his throat and focused his attention back on Damian.

“Right.. Well, ill let the two of you get to work. If you need anything Alfred and I will be just down the hall.” he said, walking over to the door. Before he left though he leans down to whisper something to the young boy. You could’ve sworn he had told him to “behave”, to which Damian rolled his eyes. After his father left he turned and walked over to where you were standing. You smile at him and start to introduce yourself.

“Hello Damian.. Im-” but he cuts you off.

“Ms Y/L/N.. I heard.” he sits down at the table, and you sigh.

Two seconds in and the kid already wants nothing to do with you. You sit down next to him, still smiling though. You were determined to get him to like you.

“So, I thought we would start out with math. Where did your last teacher leave off with you?” you ask pulling out your copy of the textbook. He flips open to the page he was last on in his book and starts to work without another word.

“You know all of this already?” you ask, and he just nods.

“Are you sure you don’t need any help?” you question and to that he doesn’t respond.

You both stay quiet for a while as he continues to work and you grade some of his past assignments that his previous teacher hadn’t gotten to do. Eventually though you notice him start to struggle with a problem. You can tell that his pride is keeping him from asking for help, so you set your papers aside and explain to him how to solve the problem. He resists a bit at first but soon accepts your help. Not long after that he slowly starts to open up to you little by little. You were different from his other teachers, you didnt talk down to him and you gave him the space he had needed when he wanted to work on his own. After that the school day went by more quickly than you had expected and soon it was time to finish up your session. You assigned Damian his homework for the night and you both gathered up all your things so you could be on your way.

As you were doing this Bruce had wandered back in to talk to his son. They talked in hushed tones but judging by the look on the older Wayne’s face you could tell that your job was safe. Damian left the room soon after and Bruce walked up to you. He picked up some of your books, helping you clean up. You couldn’t help but smile.

“Your son is very bright, you know.” You say looking up at him. “One of the smartest kids I’ve ever had the pleasure of teaching.” you continue.

This makes Bruce smile too.

“I’m really glad to hear that.. hes a good kid. He’s just- He’s been through a lot. Damian didn’t exactly have the most normal childhood with his mother.” he said with a slight frown.

It made you wonder what he meant. You knew Damian had been a new addition to the Wayne family, but you didn’t really know much about his life before Bruce. No one did. The Wayne’s private lives were just that.. private.

You slung your book bag over your shoulder and walked out of the room with Bruce, who was still holding the last of your textbooks. You felt like you were back in high school and the popular boy that everyone had a crush on was walking you to class.

Once you get to the front door you reach for your books and he hands them back to you, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.

“Thank you again, Mr Wayne.. for giving me this opportunity. I wont let you or your son down.” you promise as he opens the door for you.

“Bruce..” you hear him say.

You turn back around to face him.

“Pardon?” you raise your brows and he laughs.

“Call me Bruce.” he clarifies.

“Oh! Right.. of course.” you giggle and give him a wave before making your way to your car and driving away. You had a feeling you were gonna like it here.

(4 MONTHS LATER)

You’d been working for the Wayne family for a few months now and in that time you got closer to not only Damian but to Bruce as well. Damian wasn’t the only one who looked forward to seeing you everyday.. that being said, your and Bruce’s relationship had never went past subtle flirting and innocent touches. Today had been different though. It was the afternoon before Damian was supposed to start Spring break.. meaning that for the next almost two weeks Bruce wouldn’t be able to see you. It was weird for him to think about. You’d been at the manor basically every day sans weekends for the last 4 months. And while Bruce knew rationally that he could go without seeing you until school started up again, he didn’t want to have to wait. And that’s when he decided to break all of his own rules.

It had been one of those rare sunny days in Gotham, so you decided to have class out with Damian out in the Manor’s backyard. You were just finishing up for the day when Bruce asked if he could speak with you in private.

You immediately tensed up. Here was the moment you had been dreading. Had your flirting gone too far? Did Bruce want someone more serious to teach his son? You thought everything had been going really well, but you’d been wrong about things before. You followed Bruce through the house and into his office. This was it, you thought. This was where you got fired. As soon as you were both in the room he closed the door behind him and turned to face you. His features softened as he looked upon you and that made you confused. He didn’t look like he was about to fire you but then again he could just be pitying you. Bruce interrupted your thoughts though when he pressed his lips to yours. It was the exact opposite of what you were expecting him to do, and also the only thing you wanted to do to him since the first day you met. It didn’t take long for you start kissing him back, your fingers curling up into his perfectly styled hair. His hands found their way to your waist as he pulled you closer to him, his chest now pressed against yours. You felt lightheaded, it was like you had forgotten how to breathe.

You pulled away, you didn’t want to but you knew that if you didn’t you might pass out. You lay your forehead against his and close your eyes.

“Y/N…” you heard him whisper.

No one had ever said your name like that.. it made you feel weak in the knee’s. In that moment you would’ve done whatever he had wanted you to do.

“Yes Bruce?” you answer.

He smiled at his name leaving your lips.

“Only took four months to get you to actually call me Bruce.” he chuckles softly.

You cant help but laugh.. you remembered he told you to call him by his first name the day you met but you could never bring yourself to do it. Today it was different story.. you were kissing in his office.. It felt weird to call him “Mr Wayne” now.

“Ive been wanting to tell you something for some time..” he said.

You felt your heart skip a beat in your chest as he spoke.

“Y/N im in lo-” before you realized what you’re doing though you stopped him.

“Bruce.. no.” his smile fades and you can feel your heart breaking.

You want nothing more than to let him finish his sentence and part of you is screaming because you wont.. But the other part knows that itd never work.. not only because you were Damian’s teacher and it was unprofessional to date a parent, but also because he was Bruce Wayne..

“May I ask why?” he says, and you can hear the pain in his voice even though hes trying his hardest to seem like he’s not totally crushed.

“Bruce you have no idea how much id love to let you finish that sentence of yours.. but, I just cant. You’re you and I’m me and it would never work out.. even though more than anything I wish it could.” you respond.

He looks away, unable to make eye contact with you. Never in your life did you think you’d be turning down a man this amazing.. but here you were doing just that. Stupid morals.

“I think- I think maybe I should go now.. I’m so so sorry..” you said as you grabbed your things and walked out the door.

(2 WEEKS LATER)

Bruce hadn’t spoken to you in almost two weeks and he hadn’t stopped thinking about you in all that time either. A week into the spring break you emailed him your letter of resignation. You explained how sorry you were to do this on such short notice but you thought that it was what was best for everyone now that there were feelings involved. When Bruce finally told Damian, the kid wasn’t ready to just give up. He was determined to get you to come back. So determined in fact that he called up Dick, Jason, and Tim to help him come up with a plan. The boys had noticed that Bruce had gotten grumpier over the last couple weeks now that you were gone. They had all loved you from the get go and saw how just your presence brought out Bruce’s more lighthearted side. He wasn’t as tense, he laughed and joked more.. they’d never seen him like that before. All they knew is that they had to get that back. So they confronted Bruce with their idea.. They knew exactly how to get you to trust that Bruce was serious about you.. but they also knew that he might not approve of the idea.

The plan was to have Bruce reveal his identity as the batman to you. It was a big risk and Bruce didn’t tell just anyone. When the boys first brought the idea to him he shot it down immediately. While he had fallen in love with you in the short amount of time that he had known you, telling you about being batman was never apart of the plan. At least not this early on. He figured if you had felt the same way about him you’d form a bond first, a strong relationship, and then if things worked our between you two maybe a few years down the line he’d let you into that part of his life. Bruce always had a set way that things were supposed to go, they had to be by the book.. but maybe this time he needed to be more spontaneous.. You were like no one he had ever met before. Maybe it was time to take a chance and truly let someone see him for everything that he was. Now that spring break was almost over Bruce knew he had a limited amount of time before you went on to teach for another family that wasn’t his own.

The evening before the first day back to school had come and Bruce had finally got into contact with you. You had agreed to come over and say your goodbyes personally. You’d grown quite attached to the Wayne family and you figured you owed them at least that. As you walked back up the steps to the Manor for what you thought was the last time you couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming amount of sadness wash over you. But you knew it was what had to be done. Damian was the one to answer the door this time much to your surprise, usually it was Alfred. You looked down at the young boy and smiled. You could tell he was trying to keep a straight face, he was probably still upset about you leaving. But as soon as he saw you smile he couldn’t help but smile too.

“Hello Dami.. hows your break been?” you ask as you step inside.

You both continued to talk as you made you way deeper into the house. Damian led you into the kitchen where the rest of the family aside from Bruce and Alfred were waiting. As you walked in you felt all eyes on you and you were immediately uncomfortable.. you never did like being the center of attention.

“Uhm.. whats going on?” you ask.

You take a seat at the table with the rest of them. You felt awkward being the only one standing in a room full of people.

“Hey Ms Y/L/N. How ya been?” Dick smiled.

“You know you can call me Y/N, Richard..” you laugh.

“Yeah, Dick. She’s not your teacher. You don’t need to kiss ass..” Jason snorts.

“Language, Jay.. there are children in the room.” Tim says looking at Damian.

“The only child I see here is you, Drake.” Damian sneers.

“This is why we so rarely have all the boys in the same place at once.” you hear Alfred say as he walks into the room.

“Hello Miss.. its nice to see you again.” he greets you.

You get up to hug him, you always had a soft spot for Alfred. You spent many hours in the kitchen with the older man drinking tea and catching up on life after a long day of teaching. As you pull away you see Bruce walk in. You wonder to yourself why he always had to look so good.. its gonna make saying goodbye 10 times harder. You pull your gaze away from him and look to everyone

“I.. I probably shouldn’t stay too long.. I just wanted to come here and say goodbye in person..” you stutter out before composing yourself and continuing. “In the short amount of time that i worked here I’ve come to care immensely for every single one of you.. and it saddens me that I have to leave but-” before you can finish Bruce steps forward.

“But what if you didn’t have to leave? What if I could prove to you that I’m serious about this.. about us?” he asks.

“Bruce..” you sigh.

“Y/N.. Its not often I put myself in situations like this. Opening up to people, Letting them see this side of me.. Its not a thing that happens.” he confesses.  

“What do you mean?” you furrow your brows, obviously confused.

“I’d like to show you something before you leave.. if that’s okay? And if it doesn’t change your mind about everything then I promise I will not bother you again..” he says, now very serious.

You look around at the boys who are all now smiling at you.. obviously you weren’t in on the joke and you couldn’t lie it made you really curious.

“Okay… Show me what you got.” you say.

With that Bruce smiles and reaches his hand out for you to take. You grab it hesitantly as he pulls you along to the big grandfather clock out in the hall. He stops you in front of it and you officially have no idea whats going on.

“Umm..” you start to say but stop yourself when the clock moves out of the way to reveal a staircase that leads to underneath the manor. You look at Bruce, your eyes wide.

“Is this where you murder me and hide my body in your creepy basement with all of Damian’s previous homeschooling teachers?” you ask, only half joking.

Bruce lets out a soft laugh. “No, that was not the plan.. You watch too many horror movies.”

He steps in front of you, leading the way down the staircase and you follow along, the boys not far behind you.

Once you reach the bottom you notice that you’re now in what looks to be a cave.. a cave with thousands of dollars worth of technology everywhere. You look around, taking everything in and that’s when you see it. You walk across the large room and up to the glass case that was holding what had caught your attention. You couldn’t believe it.. Batman’s suit. You were in the batcave and that could only mean..

You spin around on your heel and see Bruce and the boys watching you from the stairs. You walk back over to them and stop in front of Bruce.

“You’re..” you cant even finish your sentence when he nods.

“Why are you showing me this? Why trust me with this kind of information?” you ask in amazement.

“I told you.. I’m serious about this.” he says, gesturing to you and himself. “This is not something  I take lightly.. but I wanted to prove to you that I’m not just-” you cut him off.

“Billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne?” you say for him.

“Precisely..”  he chuckles.

You take his hands in yours and look up at him.

“Bruce…. you are a man of many contradictions and I realize that now that I misjudged you.. but even when I thought you were just some rich womanizer-”

“Ouch..” he interrupts.

You laugh and continue. “I still loved you… you don’t have to prove anything to me. I do appreciate the honestly though.”

“I love you..” he smiles.

“A man of many words..” Jason mumbles from behind you two.

“Shh.. you’ll ruin the moment.” Dick whispers.

“Come along, boys. Lets leave them be.. I’m sure they have much to discuss..” Alfred says ushering the them back up the stairs.

“Yeah.. I’m sure what they’re gonna be doing is ‘talking’.” Jason snorts.

“Don’t be vulgar, Todd.” you hear Damian say as they disappear.

“So…” you trail off.

And before you can say anything else you’re back in his arms and he’s kissing you and you cant believe you ever thought you could continue living your life without a man like Bruce Wayne.

I purchased a car for my daughter last August and paid the annual premium. In November the insurance company said I cancelled her coverage and they issued me a refund for the remainder of the policy year (thru July). I didn't know what the refund was for, but deposited the check anyway. I don't know what I did to cancel coverage (for just this vehicle, all my other vehicles remain covered.) I don't dispute that I must have done something.... In April I found out I didn't have coverage for this car by my accidentally calling the insurance company about another question. I feel I should only pay insurance for the remaining two months on this year's policy since, if I would have had an accident, the insurance company would not have covered me. In 2004, I saw a car that I wanted to buy at a Nissan car dealership and I took out a loan. At the time I didn't know anything about insurance. It was all greek to me. I was very young and had no one to help me out. Anyway, I went to American Family Insurance and the agent seemed very nice. I told him that I wanted to buy this car and before I could finalize everything I had to show proof that I had full coverage on the vehicle. He told me that I most definitely had to get full coverage and I signed the paperwork, gave him a check and my insurance coverage started. I NEVER CHANGED MY COVERAGE!! (Let me make that clear). So 1.5 years later my car slid on the ice and another lady thought she could speed to get around me and she instead hit me. The officer stated that none of us were at fault because I was sliding when I should have been in control of my car and she should have never tried to pass me so we would each be responsible for our own damage. Right away I called my agent and he later called me back and stated I didn't have collision coverage and I would have to pay out of pocket for my damage. Again, I didn't know anything about insurance and I had totally forgotten that collision was required so I believed this guy. I left it at that but was very upset with him because he stated that I didn't have collision coverage and I told him that as a professional insurance agent, he should have told me that I needed full coverage on this practically new car!!! So, 6 months later, it was still bothering me and I left him. The car wasn't drive-able (I had to pay $600 just to fix something with the wheel mount) and then it was drive-able but there are dents in the car and damage that equals $2,000 to fix. That may sound cheap to some of you but it isn't to me. Just 3 days ago, I was telling this story to someone and they told me that I should have had full coverage on the vehicle and I should look into this. I called American Family and a lady is doing some investigating because she could see I had insurance on my car in 2004 but didn't know what kind. But, she confirmed that my car was under a lien and the insurance agent would be required to put me on a full coverage in the state of Wisconsin. So, this lady stated she would call me back on Saturday. In a perfect world, she could state either 1). You had collision coverage at that time and your car will be fixed at our expense or 2.) Your agent never put you on full coverage. Come Saturday, what if she says that it turns out my agent never put me on full coverage? Isnt he at fault? Everyone (including their own company) states he should have known to put me on full coverage! So, can I try suing the company? Im thinking even though the lady was really nice and told me that my insurance agent should have known better that Ill hear something from them stating that their computer system shows that I was a client in 2004, but they dont know what type of coverage I was on. It states that my car was legally parked and the other driver is at fault. The damage is minor rear bumper damage, nothing too terrible. I filed with his insurance company, and after a lot of frustrating phone tag, an insurance adjuster came out and wrote me an estimate for $450. I had an adjustment for $734 from the local body shop for my make of car, and I showed it to him. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this estimate, and he said the body shop would settle with the insurance company directly for costs in excess of the estimate. $300 is a little much. Since it's minor damage, I think the body shop will probably take the money and do a shoddy job on the car. It's my understanding they are supposed to repair my car to pre-accident conditions. In the Beginning: Chapter One

I knew that my time for sleep was ever since I was awoken by a dream.  The same dream i've had since I was a little girl, although the ending always seems to end differently.  As I lay awake in my bed I look over on my dresser and the time now says 7.  With the lack of sleep and my brain not shutting up, I am so not ready to face the walls of Alexander High School. Even though it was my last day there for the summer before I get shipped off to my dads for the summer.  It has always been this way since I was able to reconize what the hell was going on with my parents.  Long stories short, they just weren't meant for each other.    I begin to get ready by going to my closet and picking out my favourite blue skinny jeans, with my favourite black shirt.  I brush my hair and put it up in a messy bun.  As I make my way down the stairs to the kitchen, I see my mom.  Everyday in our house it's the same routine, she drinks her 2 cups of coffee, wearing her dress pants and a dress shirt ready to go to work.  

"Good morning dear", she says "Morning" "Why so glum today?  It's your last day before the summer!" 'Yea, well unfortunetly I did't get the required sleep" "Well, hope you have a good day at school sweetie, I gotta run! You know how it is the traffic.  Ill see you after work, love you", she said as she walked out the front door.

As usual, I finish my cup of coffee, grab my bag and books and head out to my car.  I take the usual route to school, and park in the same spot as I do everyday.  Im always here before the kids come to school, the less of the kids I abosutely hate I see the happier I will be.  So I go to my locker grab my books and head over to homeroom.  It almost seems like this day is never going to end until I see my best friend Alex.  Alex and I have been friends since forever, he was always my go to person when I had no one to go to.  He is my best friend in the whole wide world!  

"Addy! Excited for the last day to be over and the fun begins?!", he said in an excited tone "I'd love to say yes Alex, but today is not really a good day for me.", I said in a sad tone "Are you pissy about being sent away to your dad's all summer?  You've been doing that since you were able to walk almost", "No, of course it's not that. Believe me I can't wait to leave this town.  No, I had that same dream I always had as a kid, but the ending always seems to change.  It never ends the same", I said in a confused tone "Well what happened this time when it ended?",

We both laughed as we walked into homeroom with Mr. Karliton.  He wasn't the best looking teacher we have, but he's not ugly.  He is a kickass teacher tho, he always is nice to me and alex, but he despises the other kids.  Alex and I take our usual seats in the back of the room.  Only 7 more hours to go til I can go home and be a hermit.  I thought today was gonna be a horrible one until this dark haired kid walks in.  He must be a new student? I thought to myself.  I was just about to lean over to Alex and ask if he knows anything about that kid until Mr. Karliton called everyone to take their seats and be quiet as he had an announcement.

"Good morning boys and girls. Although today is the last day of school, it's never the last day to introduce a new student who will be joining us next year.  Everyone this is Dexter, he is going to be joining us next year for your final year!  Dexter why don't you just sit and observe today, there's a spot beside Addison over there, go have a seat. " Mr. Karliton said in exictment.

As soon as I heard my name I perked up and all of a sudden this kid was walking towards me.  He was wearing a long sleeved plaid shirt, with black jeans and white Vans.  As I looked up at him he gave me this half smile and winked his eye at me. Immediately I hide my face and turn away to try and avoid him.

"Not even, 5 minutes into class and he's already scouting for you", Alex said in a jealous tone "He was not even looking at me!  Besides, he seems to dark and mysterious for my liking", I said laughing "Well no offense, but you too are dark and mysterious."

I sit back in my desk trying to focusing on what Karliton has to say.  As I looked over to Dexter, he just sat there and stared and smiled at me whenever I looked at him.  Finally the bell for our 5 minute break rings and I'm the first to get out of the room before that new kid tries to talk to me and summon me to his cult.  I quickly get to my locker and grab my books for next period.  As I close my locker and walk to Math class, all I see is Dexter walking straight towards me, so I quickly run into the library and sit down at the table.  I thought to myself that this would be the safest place to get away from him until it's second class.  I knew I had quite a bit of time, so I opened my math book and started working on my notes.  All of a sudden, a gust of wind came from in front of me and as I look up there he is...

"I didn't get a chance to introduce myself, Im Dexter Ballad. I'm gonna be graduating with you next year. Well hopefully graduating next year." Dexter said "Well, Im Addison, but my friends and family call me Addy." "Well Addy, what do you even do around here in Abstract County in the summer?" he asked "I wouldn't know... I get shipped off to my dad's for the summer." "Oh nice!  Where does your dad live?" "He lives in Althabasca County" "No way! That's where my mom is! Im going there for the summer too!", he said in an excited tone "Great to know.  Anything else I can help you with?" "Fiesty, are we?  Well miss fiesty pants, would you wanna hang out this summer? "Um, thanks for the offer, but i'll pass." "Well, i'll be around Althabasca, so if you wanted meet up ever, just shoot me a message on my facebook.  I'll see you around gorgeous", he said with a smile on his face.

Immediately, I find Alex and tell him about what just happened, and how he's gonna be in Althabasca this summer and how he wants to hang out.

"Well, are you gonna do it?", Alex asked "I don't know, I mean he seems nice, but he's almost to nice" "Well if your gut says no, then don't do it"

I really didn't want to focus on school, I wanted to find out more about Dexter.  I head towards the office to let them know that I was feeling "ill" and I needed to go home.  Because all the teachers pretty much adore me, they don't even question it.  With the other students, it would be a call to their parents to let them know their child was going be home sick, most of the time, they can tell when the other kids lie.  I mean yes I told  a lie, but it was for a good cause.  So i grab the books I need to study for History tomorrow, and I head out to my car.
