I wonder what the supervillains (the dorm leaders) would do if they get switched with their other self in Twisted Wonderland.
They'll meet a younger Yuu calls them senpai and probably get shivers when they hear someone shout Prefect but then realize its Yuu's role in that world.
Bonus would be if Yuuken's there too, sharing the dorm with Yuu.
Thank you for the ask, dear anon!
I decided to take a little inspo from my Villainous Paranoiac series for this one! Not a whole lot, but the idea of Twisted Wonderland Yuu being put in the infirmary after the events of Chapter Five!
(Also consider it non-canon, since it kinda involves everyone’s identities being exposed!)
Basically imagine that the supervillains find themselves in what looks like a private school infirmary, late at night. The air is buzzing with a strange energy, almost like the powers back in their home world, but...different, somehow.
The room nearly empty, save for one occupant in a cot close to the door.
Poison Queen and King immediately begin bickering over whose fault this mess is, while Royal Flush tries to get them to keep their voices down or else they’ll be detected. Charon is half a minute from going to curl up in a corner, clutching his freeze ray like a lifeline, while Octo Dealer and Snake Charmer are busy inspecting their surroundings for anything of value or that can be requisitioned into a weapon on short notice.
Tsunotaro has wandered over to inspect the sole other living being in the room with them.
He is pleasantly surprised to see what looks like a younger version of the reporter he’s so fond of, fast asleep in the infirmary cot. Their cheeks still retain the last bit of baby fat from childhood, and there’s some acne left that will fade with age. He may give one cheek a gentle poke, just to satisfy his curiosity. The sleepy mumble they let out is a little more high pitched than normal, but that’s the reporter’s voice alright.
He is less pleased to see dark circles under their eyes, or the bandages around their throat that stink of medicinal salves. If this truly is a younger version of his child of man, then why do they look so worried, even in sleep? Why are they injured and sleeping in this place of healing in the first place? They’re a mere child, barely old enough to operate a vehicle or live alone. Their only worries should be trivial things, not whatever is causing this furrow in their brow and hunch in their shoulders.
The other supervillains have begun to migrate over to where Tsunotaro is crouching in silent contemplation. King flips his eyepatch up to get a better look, whistling lowly. Octo Dealer busies himself with refilling their water glass, sneaking glances at them as he places it within easy reach. Snake Charmer pulls their pillow more under their head from where it’s almost slipped off. Poison Queen straightens the arrangement of the very tasteful bouquet on the bedside table, so the flowers’ best angle is shown to the bed’s occupant. Royal Flush carefully tucks their covers in over them.
Charon takes a picture with his tablet.
He forgot to turn off his flash.
Yuu cracks their eyes open...
To see seven adults looming over their bed in masks that resemble the ink from the overblots that haunt the Prefect’s nightmares.
Cue terrified screaming.
Snake Charmer lunges forward instinctively to cover Yuu’s mouth—
It’s only thanks to Poison Queen yanking him back that he doesn’t end up with an arrow in the shoulder.
Several more follow the first one through the window above the prefect’s cot, cold iron sharp and perfectly aimed to seriously maim if the supervillains don’t immediately get away from the screaming teenager. Rook was lax in protecting the Trickster after VDC ended, assuming there was no more danger after Roi du Poison’s overblot was saved. He will not make that mistake again.
The infirmary doors burst open, a younger Yuuken in a sleep-rumpled uniform barging in from where he decided to sleep outside because Ramshackle felt too empty and quiet to bear, but was forbidden from staying in the infirmary himself. He only has a pillow, but he brandishes it at the strange adults, fully willing to defend his dorm mate in whatever way he can.
The vanguard appears in a flurry of bats though, too many to fight off, small and vicious and furious. Their commander materializes in the center if the swarm, hovering over the head of Yuu’s cot, pink eyes brimming with a cold rage that makes his small and cute form look like it’s bursting at the seams holding something much older and angrier back. He opens his mouth, fangs long and glistening—
Only to stop short at the sight of one of the supervillains. “Malleus? Malleus Draconia?”
Tsunotaro nods warily.
“Wh-What in Twisted Wonderland are you wearing??”
Tsunotaro ducks his head like a chastened child. “I could say the same thing.” He mutters sullenly.
From there the lights get turned on, and the seven supervillains are made to explain themselves to the sleep-deprived students and staff who trickle in to see what’s going on. All six dorm leaders and one vice dorm leader vanished from their beds, setting everyone on high alert until news of these...alternate versions spread.
It is very weird for the supervillains to see all their minions as teenagers (again in some cases). It is only surpassed by how weird it is for everyone else to see their dorm heads and vice head all grown up and adult, even if they are dressed weird.
Ortho still wants to shoot them with a beam until they bring back his nii-san. Luckily Charon is able to convince him that Idia should be fine if he’s in Charon’s lair—he’s got plenty of the latest games, manga and tech for him to play with, so that should keep him occupied for a while.
Sebek is in a state of Malleus awe. He has shut down and will not restart. Silver has taken to pinching himself just to make sure this isn’t a Lilia’s cooking induced fever dream, while Lilia himself scolds Tsunotaro that he raised him better than to go around watching people sleep like that! Tsunotaro tries to use the “but I’m a supervillain” excuse, only for Lilia to shoot back “and I’m a war criminal in some nations, what’s your point?”
King is enjoying watching the overgrown lizard get scolded. Now if only the tiny Ruggie would stop asking him what injury the eyepatch is for, and making remarks about how embarrassing it would be if it were totally pointless—King does not pay his adult self so much to put up with this shit. The baby Jack also needs to stop demanding to know if his adult minion self can pull a sled faster than a moose or something...
Jade and Floyd are attempting to wind up the adult Octo Dealer, trying to see how much they can get away with compared with the normal Azul. Octo Dealer is legitimately at a loss as to how this world’s Azul doesn’t keep them in line without letting them turn to a crime or two. Then he learns about Azul’s contract business and feels a pang of commiseration and understanding.
Poison Queen, Royal Flush, and Snake Charmer are unpleasantly shocked when their dorms address them by their respective secret identities in front of their fellow supervillains out of the blue.
Poison Queen has to put up with King’s uncontrolled laughter as he finally understands the full extent of the incident with White Neige so long ago, while Tsunotaro tries to tell him he liked Schoenheit in his role as the evil dragon prince in the GaoGao dramatization. Royal Flush is about two seconds away from throttling Octo Dealer if the bastard doesn’t stop trying to make a deal to guarantee his mother doesn’t learn about her son’s private activities. Snake Charmer’s just glad his civilian identity flies under the radar enough that Charon has to try and look him up to understand who he is (and fails because he’s not on school wifi and his cellular data is bust).
Poison Queen is also getting a headache from Rook rhapsodizing about how his villain form is another, enhanced mode of beauty he is fortunate to lay eyes upon, as if he hadn’t been willing to skewer Poison Queen along with the rest of the supervillains five minutes ago. He’s at least able to amuse himself by letting Epel run away with his speculations about how he’s the buff hyper-masculine muscle for Poison Queen.
Kalim is crying that Jamil had to resort to becoming a villain in his home world! He must be so sad if he has to do that! He’s mildly cheered up when Snake Charmer tells him they work together on schemes, and that Snake Charmer is actually reasonably happy with his chosen vocation—and then he begins panicking that Jamil will like that world so much, he won’t want to come back.
Royal Flush is glad his counterpart at least has good people around to look after him, even if it is odd to have young versions of Trey and Cater trying to mother hen him despite the fact that he’s the older one now. At least Ace and Deuce acting up seems more fitting now considering their age than it ever did on their adult selves.
Ace huffs a sigh and leans on Yuu’s shoulder. “This is a mess, huh Prefect?”
“You said it.” Yuu replies. “I just wanna sleep forever.”
The supervillains go still.
“I’m sorry,” Snake Charmer says carefully. “But isn’t Enma-san the Prefect?”
“No?” Yuuken replies, confused. “Yuu’s the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. I’m their vice— or would be, if we had any other students apart from them, me, and Grim.”
Octo Dealer laughs, sounding slightly strained. “Ah, apologies, but you see, that isn’t possible. It can’t be. Yuu isn’t—”
“But I am the prefect, Azul-senpai.” Yuu the Prefect says. “I’ve–I’ve always been the prefect.”
There’s a stunned silence.
Royal Flush places his head in his hands. “What the fuck.”
Back in the Supervillain AU universe, Yuu the Reporter sneezes sharply while trying to wrangle five frightened teenagers, one frightened-but-playing-tough twenty year old, and one confused however-old-he-is-but-younger-than-Tsunotaro fae.
They wonder what the chill down their spine is.

Hey! May I ask for Malleus and Lilia being hesitate to start a relationship with the mc because of their long life span? And also welcome to the fandom!
Σ(°ロ°) You probably didn't ask for angst but this is just such a good angst prompt and I LOVE writing angst more than anything so I hope you don’t mind. I might have gone overboard with it though. If you do want a happy ending instead don’t hesitate to tell me! Thank you! Everybody’s so nice in this fandom.
Also, stan Lilia. Man, I simp for this old man so much.
Pairings: Malleus Draconia x Reader, Lilia Vanrouge x Reader.
Now, let’s depart enter this twisted wonderland~
Tumblr media
“Tsunotaro, I think I have fallen for you.” You quietly said warmth spreading across your cheeks. “Will you let me stay by your side till the last breath I take?”
That was a few nights ago, and he left you without giving a reply. Instead of saying anything, he instead returned to the confines of his room and hid. While Sebek was glad he’s back Lilia sensed something in him that he asked the younger fae to leave the future king be. Now, all he can do is watch you from afar as you share your smiles and laughs with your peers from Heartslabyul.
Oh, how I miss hearing that laugh of yours… He can’t but think as he kept his gaze at you.
You two stopped meeting each other ever since. Well, more like you change your course of direction the next night you saw each other. He can remember clearly how tired your eyes look, how you’re ready to cry one more second you stay in his presence. You merely bowed your head and walked straight in Ramshackle Dorm.
“Lilia, what should I do?” He cried that night. “My only friend, the only one who understands me outside of our family… has left me.”
“Humans are quite delicate creatures, Malleus.” The older fae answered, pity evident in his eyes. “From the sound of it, the trust that you two have has been severed from your actions.”
“I want to stay by their side, I want to keep talking to them, laugh with them.” He continued wallowing in his sorrow as he remembers all the times you two spent on each other's side.
“Tell me, Malleus.” Lilia made him sit upright and face him eye to eye. “Do you reciprocate their love?”
It's not that he doesn’t return your feelings, far from it. He loves you more than anything in the world. Yet, the thought of him living on as you age and eventually dying scares him. He’s tired of being left behind, of losing things he deeply cares for and living on without them by his side. Fears that clouded his judgment that night which lead to the pain twisting in his heart for not being able to be near you anymore.
Time is but a blink of an eye for his species but who would have thought that it could feel this agonizingly slow as well. What he thought had been years already is merely but a day… without you by his side. Just one conversation, that’s all he wants. He wants the normalcy of his days with you to be back. So, imagine his joy when you approached him with a smile once more.
“Tsuno – I mean, Malleus.” He frowned when you refrained to use the name you had lovingly given him. The pain in his chest returning even greater than before. “I have great news to share.”
“No need to call me by my name. You’re more than welcome to call me Tsunotaro as you please.” Please, call me Tsunotaro again. Call me with that love you have for me. “What is this news?”
“Crowley has found a way to send me back home!” You grinned as he felt his heart shatter into pieces, eyes widening in disbelief. “I can finally go back home! Everybody’s heading to the Hall of Mirrors to send me off.”
“Is that so…” He can't breathe. The pain is too much even though you’re finally talking to him again…you’re smiling at him again. “Then allow me to send you off as well.”
“Alright! Let’s go then!” You took his hand and guided him to your destination.
How warm. He can’t help but think so. I would love to hold your hand forever and never let you go.
You two arrived and you let go of his hand to greet the others. Farewell speeches were made, tight embraces, and souvenirs from each dorm handed to you. You grinned as you accepted everything given to you. Alas, it’s time for you to leave and you stepped in the mirror. The moment you’re gone, the mirror cracked, signifying that your departure is a point of no return here. He stood still as everybody slowly left the Hall of Mirrors until he’s the only one left. His eyes began watering as everything that happened finally sinks in. The now cracked mirror mockingly reflecting his broken image. You left, returned to your world facing forward with a bittersweet smile… and he let you go without answering your confession.
“Then the least you can do is give her closure.”
“(y/n), I too have fallen deeply in love with you…” Tears flowed endlessly as he gave his reply to no one. “So please…”
Will you stay by my side till the last breath you take?
Tumblr media
“Isn't it better to have a few years filled with love than have a lifetime worth of what-ifs?” You cried as he rejected your confession to him before running away towards your dorm.
“(y/n), it's nice seeing you here.” Lilia’s smile faltered a little as you hesitantly smiled back before leaving as fast as you can.
Day by day, you both tried to initiate conversations with each other without being too tense. He can tell how you’re forcing yourself to talk to him like nothing happened and it hurts the both of you. Both wanting the pain to end yet now willing to let go of what little interaction you have. He tried to distract himself by performing his duties as Diasomnia’s vice-leader, cooking food, even go as far as reading history books that he knew the true version of said history. All to dull the pain he feels as soon as his thoughts drift towards you.
Why did you have to have such a short lifespan? He kept asking himself as he leafed through a book he’s holding. I would love nothing more but to stay by your side and start a family. A simple life with you… how nice it sounds.
But he can’t fathom the idea of existing without you by his side once your time in the world expires. He’s more than happy to love you with all his being but he can’t help but hesitate as he thinks of the future ahead of you two. A few more days have passed and the two of you had officially stopped talking to one another. It was merely by chance that he spotted you talking with his son. He was on his way towards the light music club room to distract himself once more. Against his better judgment, he eavesdropped at your conversation with Silver.
“I envy you, Silver.” You spoke with such sadness that Silver can’t help but pat your head. “Despite you being human as well, Lilia chose to keep you by his side.”
“He truly does love you,” He reassured as you slowly began to shed tears. “He just doesn’t want to live without you by his side when the time comes.”
“And look at what happened instead.” You scoffed as you wiped your tears harshly. “I can’t even bear talking to him without being reminded that I’m not important enough to be able to stand by his side till my last days.”
“(y/n)…”
“I thought since he has you, he knew that this will happen and he’d rather treasure those few years with people he loves than just leaving them be.” Your eyes, tired and dull from the emotions swirling in your heart and mind. “Tell me, am I too foolish for clinging on that little hope back then?”
“No, you only followed what you felt was right.” He dropped his hand to his lap and looked down the ground. “Sometimes things just don’t happen the way we want it.”
“Thank you, Silver. No offense on your situation with Lilia though.” You smiled in defeat before standing up and dust off your clothing. “Please do keep your promise to me.”
“As much as I’m against it, I understand.” Silver sighed as he stood up as well. “Farewell, (y/n). Please don’t forget about us when you return home.”
Lilia froze as hopelessness settled in him. You’re leaving not just him but everybody else. He silently left the area and walked aimlessly as his feet somehow managed to bring him back to his room. His body felt colder than ever, body stiff and eyes wide at the realization of his fears. His fears of you leaving him behind as he will keep living his immortal life. Except, instead of through death, you’ll return to where you truly belong.
But, you also belong by my side…right?
He can’t help but laugh bitterly at his situation. He knew this would happen one day. He accepted this since that dreadful day he rejected you. So why…
“You’re right, (y/n).” For the first time in his immortal life, he shed tears and let out a scream of agony.
I’d rather spend a few years filled with love with you than live my immortal life filled with what-ifs about what we could have been.

The Switch (A Short Story)
Within the Alchemy Room, a single student was preparing a new drug for Crewel's latest assignment. As they turned to grab another ingredient, they unconsciously knocked over one of the other bottles on the table. When the student came back to the cauldron, they didn't notice the spilled bottle. Regardless, they continue to experiment and add new ingredients. Once they added the final component, there was an explosion, and the student was sent to the ground momentarily. When they got up, they took the explosion as a sign to stop for the day. They cleaned up everything and quickly left the room. Little did they know that the failed drug the student tried to make became a spell.
The following day, everything seemed fine. The students were attending classes, no one was saying anything about an explosion, and Alchemy classes were fine. That is until the dorm leaders were abruptly pulled out of classes to meet in the headmaster in his office.
"What is going on, headmaster?" Riddle asked.
"Yeah, what is going on? This is a real pain." Leona yawned. Headmaster Dire Crowley looked up at the prefects.
"There was an incident yesterday with alchemy. A student was making a drug for Professor Crewel's class, and the process of making the drug turned into a spell."
"But how does that concern us?" Vil asked, trying not to give an attitude. Crowley stood up from his chair.
"If you would please follow me, I'll show you." Crowley begins to walk out the door. The prefects look at each other in confusion before following the headmaster. They travel through the hallways to reach the Mirror Chamber. Crowley stepped up to the Magic Mirror. "Mirror of Darkness, tell us what has happened." The face of the mirror appears in the glass.
"A change has occurred. You are not where you belong."
"What do you mean by 'we're not where we belong?'" Kalim asked curiously, not fully understanding the situation or the mirror's words.
"You are not in the dorms where you belong. You are to go to your new dorms at once." The dorm leaders' mouths were ajar. Riddle was outraged.
"That's impossible! You were the one to place us in the dorms we're currently in. Now you're saying we belong elsewhere?!"
"The shapes of your souls have shifted."
"I see now," Azul smiled, "this incident yesterday was a spell that changed the 'shapes of our souls' somehow. Because of that, we are to go to different dorms."
"That is correct," Crowley confirmed.
"What I don't understand," Kalim interrupted, "was why we were the only ones affected."
"It's simple," Malleus answered, "we're the dorm leaders. We were chosen for having powerful magic. The spell seems to have only affected those with superior magical abilities." Crowley nodded.
"That seems to be the case." He turns back to the mirror. "Mirror of Darkness, please tell the dorm leaders their new assignments." The Magic Mirror responds to Crowley's request and lists the new housing assignments. Everyone began to panic.
"UNACCEPTABLE!" Vil shouted. "I will NOT be going THERE!
"You think you have it bad," Idia cut in "I have to go to-"
"What am I going to do about the Mostro Lounge?" Azul interrupted. "It's Octavinelle property."
"What about Heartslabyul?! There's no way he can run it properly!"
"I can't imagine how you're going to break up the constant fights," Leona said as he looked over at the new dorm leader of Savanaclaw.
"Oh SHUT UP! I don't want to hear it!"
"What's the big deal? This sounds like a lot of fun!" Kalim smiles.
"You do realize the severity of the situation we're in, right?" Malleus looked at the younger dorm leader. "The situation you will now be in."
"Sure I do."
"Everyone, please. Calm yourselves." Crowley broke everyone up. "Tomorrow, we will hold an announcement ceremony for your new dorms," Crowley tells them that they are to come to the Mirror Chamber early and wear their ceremony robes a new way, much to Riddle and Vil's dismay. "Tonight, you must pack your personal belongings and get ready to move dorms after classes tomorrow."
"Yes, Headmaster."
The prefects return to classes after their quick meeting. That night, they begin to pack their things and get ready to move. All of the students received an announcement about a last-minute assembly. Afternoon classes were canceled so that the assembly could be held. On the day of the assembly, the students wore their Ceremonial Robes to morning classes. Once it was time for the ceremony, all of the students gathered in the Mirror Chamber. Once they entered the room, what was most noticeable was the fact that Idia was there in person and that Malleus Draconia was there when he wasn't even at the Opening Ceremony. Another thing that was noticed was the way the dorm leaders wore their Ceremonial Robes. They only wore the outer robe, but their dorm uniforms were noticeably seen underneath.
"Welcome, students of Night Raven College. I apologize for the sudden assembly, but there has been an incident two days ago regarding an accident with alchemy. A spell was accidentally cast and there has been a change of dorm assignments." The students looked at each other and began to whisper to each other. "Because of that, there will be a change in dorm leaders." The students began to talk out of confusion.
"A change in dorm leaders?"
"What does that mean?"
"Are new students becoming dorm leaders?" Crowley gathered everyone's attention again.
"To clarify, there will be a switch in dorm leaders. Boys, please step forward." The dorm leaders stepped toward the audience. They proceeded to remove their outer robes to reveal their current dorm uniforms. "The new Dorm Leader of Heartslabyul, Leona Kingscholar!" With magic, Leona's uniform changed from rough leather to gentle cloth with a flowing cape.
"This is such a pain." Ace and Deuce were SHOCKED to see this outcome, Cater was trying not to pull out his phone to snap a picture that moment, and Trey was surprised to see Leona as the new dorm leader when someone like Azul or Malleus would be more fitting. With Leona's reputation, it was safe to say that lots of Heartslabyul students were relieved to have a laid back dorm leader, but some were concerned. Meanwhile, Jack was keeping Ruggie from laughing out loud.
"The new Dorm Leader of Savanaclaw, Vil Schoenheit!" Vil's long Pomefiore robes transformed into a leather jacket with a fang necklace.
"I can't believe this...To think I'd ever go to those Drylands" Vil mumbled to himself. Rook was very intrigued by this new arrangement, and Epel was both appalled and incredibly jealous of Vil suddenly being placed in Savanaclaw. Amongst the protests of Savanaclaw tenants, Ruggie finally got to laugh out loud while Jack worried about his old neighbor.
"The new Dorm Leader of Octavinelle, Idia Shroud." Idia's cyberpunk uniform changed to a black suit, rather messily worn.
"I don't think I can do this..." Idia sighed. Not only is he moving dorms, Azul told him that he'd now have to manage Mostro Lounge. Floyd was snickering in the background and so was Jade. Guess they have their work cut out for them from now on. As for Ortho, he was sad to see his brother go, but he saw this as a good thing for Idia. He always wanted his brother to get out of his room and socialize, so this works perfectly.
"The new dorm Leader of Scarabia, Malleus Draconia!" Malleus closed his eyes as his military dorm uniform transformed into the Scarabia uniform. Malleus didn't say anything, but others did.
"Did he just say THE Malleus Draconia is going to be our dorm leader?"
"This is scary?"
"I want Kalim back." Jamil didn't even know what this assembly was about. Why didn't that idiot tell him that they were suddenly switching dorm leaders?! Meanwhile, Sebek had the same reaction as Jamil. Silver and Lilia were oddly calm about the situation.
"The new Dorm Leader of Pomefiore, Riddle Rosehearts!" Riddle's white and red uniform was switched for the Pomefiore robes. He wore Vil's stiletto heels though.
"I promise to uphold Vil's expectations to the best of my abilities." Rook smiled, finding the new dorm leader quite interesting. Epel was a little worried since Riddle is a strict dorm leader when it comes to rules. Not to mention, his automatic punishment is his unique magic. Well, at least Riddle won't treat him like a doll. This time, Ace couldn't hold back his laughter as Deuce was trying to tell him to stop. Trey breathed a sigh of relief, relieved to know Riddle will be alright in Pomefiore. It could have been worse.
"The new Dorm Leader of Ignihyde, Azul Ashengrotto!" Azul's classy suit was switched out for one that was much more digital inspired.
"It will be a pleasure to work with you all."
"Azul Ashengrotto? The leader-er, previous leader of Octavinelle?"
"I hear he makes unfair contracts with other students."
"Those who don't fulfill their end of the bargain are sentenced to servitude until graduation." Idia was a little relieved once he found out Azul would be leading Ignihyde. He knows Azul is very intelligent and can manage his dorm. He'll learn how to work with technology quickly. Ortho smiled, excited at the thought of having a new friend who isn't always locked away in their room working on projects. Meanwhile, Floyd hoped that Azul wouldn't become a huge nerd as Jade smiled at the situation.
"Finally, the new Dorm Leader of Diasomnia, Kalim Al-Asim!" Kalim smiled and spun around as his Scarabia robes were transformed into his own version of the Diasomnia uniform.
"I'm Kalim Al-Asim. I'll be in your care! Er, I guess, you'll be in my care! I hope we can all get along!" Nobody from Diasomnia physically reacted, but they were rather disappointed. Kalim's fun party reputation doesn't impress them at all. Meanwhile, Jamil is scared out of his life. Kalim is going to Diasomnia, the dorm of powerful mages. He worried if Kalim was going to be ok and hoped that no one would hurt him since Jamil won't be there to protect him. Lilia smiled at the thought of someone so fun joining Diasomnia since everyone is a stick in the mud. Sebek did not trust Kalim to lead Diasomnia as Malleus did, and Silver had no care about the new arrangement.
Crowley proceeded to say how he will try his best to find the student who caused this and punish them accordingly. The staff will work together to find a way to reverse the spell. Until the situation has been resolved, the dorm leaders shall continue their positions in their new homes. The dorm leaders put their outer robes back on as Crowley magically summons the belongings of the dorm prefects. He orders everyone to follow their new leaders to the Hall of Mirrors. Things were going to be very interesting from now on.
