Virtual Career Simulator: A New Way to Launch Your Career
Introduction:
The pandemic has changed the way we work and learn, and internships are no exception. With many companies and organizations shifting to remote work, virtual career simulator have become an increasingly popular option for students seeking real-world experience in their field of study. A virtual internship is an internship that takes place entirely online, allowing students to gain valuable work experience from the comfort of their own homes. Just like work from home, these are internships from home.
Students are seeking virtual internship opportunities as they have a lot of benefits along with learnings. Let’s look at them separately.
Benefits of virtual career simulator for students:
Flexibility:
Firstly, they offer a flexible schedule, allowing students to balance their work and study commitments more easily. Secondly, they often provide students with the opportunity to work with companies and organizations located anywhere in the world, providing them with a unique and valuable experience. Lastly, as they are internships from home, they are often more accessible to students who live in remote or rural areas, or who may not have the financial resources to relocate for an in-person internship.

It's also important to research the company or organization before applying and to have a clear understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of the internship.
Learning’s a student can gain by pursuing virtual career simulator:

How to write about an internship in resume?
Being a part of a summer internship program gives you valuable insight into the industry you wish to be a part of. It is a great way of gaining exposure, while simultaneously learning about skills you need to succeed in your career. From researching on social media to networking with industry professionals, there are several things you can do to enroll yourself in an internship program.
Following are the advantages of an internship you should consider before applying:
Apply theoretical knowledge: A good summer internship program gives you the opportunity to apply the knowledge you have gained in classrooms. They encourage you to work in a professional environment on real projects under the mentorship of industry professionals.
Practical work experience: One of the most important ways of understanding your field of work is by working in a professional environment. Internships help you gain experience in your chosen field and gradually build your career.
Resume building: While applying for jobs, recruiters look for candidates with valuable experience in a given field. Interning can help you get an edge over other candidates while applying, as it enriches your resume.
Networking: In order to give your career, the boost it needs, it is important to form and maintain connections with professionals in your industry. By constantly networking, you learn from your peers, which helps you grow professionally. Internships help you develop life-long connections with those who might be able to help and support your career.
Transition into a full-time role: Several programs provide interns with full-time opportunities, based on their performance. This can help kick-start your career in the right direction once your studies are completed.
If you have accumulated internship experience, but are confused about how to pen it down in your resume, following are the tips you can keep in mind:
Mention the organization and title: While noting down your internship experience, highlight the organization’s name. Along with this, mention your title. Do not mention ‘intern’ only, rather talk about the role it was. If you worked with the digital marketing department, then mention ‘digital marketing intern’.
Elaborate on the job description: When you write about your internship, make sure to mention what your responsibilities were. This will help recruiters understand your workload, and what you are capable of doing in a professional environment.
Shed light on your achievements: Do not shy away from talking about what you have achieved during your internship. Highlight projects you have undertaken during your tenure with the organization, and its outcomes.
Talk about your recent experience first: When it comes to the order of internships, make sure to talk about your recent experience first. After this, list down your internship experience in chronological order. By doing this, recruiters get an idea of what your most recent work is, which stands as a testament to how you will perform in your field.
Add references: Make sure to mention references who can vouch for your time and work during your internship. Mention their name, designation, and contact details.
If you are currently looking to expand your resume by interning with an organization, you should consider INKOMPASS. This is a global internship program by Phillip Morris International, which offers you a chance to work on real business projects. The biggest perk of applying for the program is the personalized feedback you get from your mentors, while simultaneously learning from the best in the industry. Under this global internship program, you will be surrounded by a diverse environment, enriched with industry professionals who have years of experience.
If you are interested in applying for INKOMPASS, you can check out more details on their official website.

very interesting to me that the big three of the current hero gen in mha - shouto, midoriya and bakugo - are often portrayed as also being the closest in a lot of fics bc it's like. you've got shouto's two best friends as a boy with a volatile personality fuelled by his blind ambition and desperation to be the best, and a boy whose quirk destroys his body. like if you combined two of shouto's best friends you'd get touya but we're just not supposed to redeem him. okay

5th week of my summer internship.
I don’t feel that much overwhelmed yet. But the idea of the only one week of rest before the start of the last year of Uni makes me kinda stressed out in advance

Software Engineer Diaries 👩‍💻 Everything I Do In A Day When I Don't Write Code 🖥️🖱️
am i an engineer or project manager at this point? 🤔
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My current project is just like the last one in that I'm taking over partway through and the whole thing is already on fire 🔥 Three weeks in and I finally have some clarity, but I still don't have time to cover all my bases at the onset, so I'm just left scared and stressed about having to figure it out as I go.
met product managers and answered all their questions for over an hour even though all the answers were already available to them 💀 attempted to negotiate scope but get deferred 😒
pulled and analyzed data to confirm everything we already know 😖
met engineering manager and re-re-hashed scope (the original plan sucks and it's kind of my fault for trusting the misleading info handed off to me in a hurry) 🙄
reviewed code but i have next to no idea what's going on, i just know it doesn't look insane (5x) 🤞
helped our intern debug/learn random things but i'm probably not a very inspiring teacher since i'm so freaking done and can't be bothered to hide it much ✌️
updated docs: design docs, project docs, release docs, etc. 📑🗂️🗃️
met intern again to see how she's doing?? idk, i just follow the onboarding plan, even if it's painfully redundant and my social battery is non-existent ⚰️
curated a new starter task for our intern (hopefully it ends up better than the last one which i might've over-complicated, idk)
met senior colleague to come up with a new plan for our new objectives (thank god at least one thing went right today, so i kind of know what i have to do and now i just have to do it) 🤝
today's wrap-up tasks: ticket grooming, scheduling more meetings, answering more questions, etc. 👋
💌: i can't believe i still have to study after all this 😫 i swear this job is aging me prematurely 👵 google, play save me 🙃
