Brand New Introject Term Let's Go

Source Twin

This term is meant to be used as an alternative to "double". This term is both inspired by identical twins as well as the concept of "twinning" with someone (which in this context means that there's some aspect of two people that match in some way shape or form). Rather than feeding into the idea that introjects are "copies" of each other, this term refers to introjects as their own unique person while still acknowledging similarities between introjects that are sourced from the same character.

Feative

Feative: Someone who is introjected based on or is otherwise sourced from one or two typically key features of someone/something, but shares nothing else in common. For example seeing someone who is so excited about something, and introjecting some else who's really excited about one thing (may or may not be the same thing), but has nothing else in common with who they introjected from.

While this by default is classified as an introject or otherwise sourced headmate term, one may or may not consider themself either partially or wholly brainmade or otherwise non-sourced due to only being from one or two features.

Etymology: Feat- from Feature and -tive from the pattern of words like "Fictive", "Factive", "Fogtive".

This was originally coined by us on the Otherkinder discord server on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at 7:29 AM, and has been shared in a couple discord servers since then. However, we wanted a publicly available post both for easy finding of the term, as well as a place to link to when we add it to Pluralpedia.

Sourceshifter

An multi-sourced introject who easily 'gains', 'drops', or otherwise changes sources. They may have wildly fluctuating appearances, personalities, etc, but it's not a requirement. Sourceshifters may start out as a single source introject, then become a splitroject later on. The ease of which they change sources may also change over time and they may loose their 'sourceshifterness' altogether. This can also be used to describe subsystems that have a low introjection threshold if you want (thumbs up)

Doodlemate

Synonyms: Animate, animated headmate, drawn headmate, drawing come to life

A word to refer to a headmate who is a living moving drawing and prefers to represent themselves as such in headspace and the shared world.

The difference between this and a soulbond with a piece of art, is that doodlemates do not have an "alternate universe" that they come from, they are a drawing existing only in this reality.

A doodlemate's source is the art they came from.

Your system may be more likely to have doodlemates if you are POSIC.

Some features of a doodlemate:

They could prefer to hang in picture frames in the innerworld or be visualised in their desired style

They may be physically flat and one dimensional compared to other headmates who are 3D.

They may prefer to not have any body at all and speak as a disembodied voice.

They may be very comfortable with being "just a drawing" and/or having a creator.

They may have periods of time where they go back to being static artwork.

They may use projection to move around on the page in the shared reality
