So, there is this youtuber named Alana Lintao. In one of her shorts, she mentions how one of the models she was taking to went like 'Oh, you don't drink or smoke? What do you even do then?'. So her answer: SIDE QUESTS. Like movie nights, sleepovers, bracelet making, those sort of fun activities.

Now, I don't really drink or smoke either, but I, like a lot of other people have a bit of an internet addiction. For many it's tiktok and insta reels, for me it's yt shorts, but whatever. Pot. Kettle. Except for the comment section. On top of that I am NOT social. I have like 2 people which I consider friends, and they're not people I'd share secrets with, so are they really friends? It is also very tiring to talk in general. But even someone like me actually GOT something out of her advice, which is super rare. After you start doing those things, it feels like life is waaaaaaay brighter. Like when you were a kid, and you just felt happy for no reason, and colors looked more vivid? That. Games with my sister, karaoke, running errands with my dad, deep cleaning, those everything showers, going to the mall for no reason, and getting out of the house for the sole purpose of petting street cats. It feels like rediscovering fun. So, yeah. Go ahead and go on some side quests as well. Hell, encourage others to try that to.

Scoria and Sakura are best friends! It's so cute when I see the things they do together, and it makes me so beyond happy that they both came to live with me so that they could share their lives with each other. They absolutely insist on it, and does so much good for the other.

I can't imagine how else they could have found happiness if things hadn't worked out exactly as they did. Scoria has basically been Sakura's "emotional support snake" while she worked through things from her past I'll never fully know that caused her a lot of issues with panic and fear. Sakura knows this too, and looks out for her sister, the only one she truly trusts and feels completely safe with.

The moment they wake up they both want each other to snuggle and play with. Scoria loves to be affectionate with both me and her sister who seems to have not had this earlier in her life- but Scoria is showing her how nice it is not only directly but demonstrating with me and Sakura also trying, copying what she has seen her sister do.

Sometimes when one goes to check on the other they'll join in on... I'm not even sure what they were doing. But they had a good time while taking a mandated union break from digging tunnels for the isopods.

So happy I get to share in the adventures of these two best friends! It makes me so happy to see them living their best lives together, and being beyond content snuggled together with their found family.

i'm really enjoying Monster Next Door's portrayal of introversion in diew.

diew is quiet and likes to minimise social interactions, but i like that he isn't portrayed as incapable of them. he's nice and helpful and responds reasonably when people approach/talk to him. if it's someone he recognises, even if he's not close to them, he's pleasant and if its someone new he's polite. it's just...refreshingly realistic.

when he runs into wan and beer at the noodle shop, that's probably the most visibly uncomfortable we see diew, and even then he's still nice and polite and answers wan reasonably. he gets away as soon as he can, but even as he leaves, he bows to his seniors and flashes a quick smile.

i like that the focus of his introversion is that he enjoys calm things - reading, listening to music on his headphones, jigsaws - and that he is comfortable just being alone in his space. but his introversion doesn't prevent him from understanding and empathising with others who want more social interaction or who enjoy leading more active/fast-pace lives.

when god apologises for wan 'bothering' him, diew explains that he doesn't have to apologise because he knows wan means no harm. he isn't angry or upset and he doesn't resent wan's extroversion just because he's introverted.

sometimes when filmmakers have an 'introverted' character we just see someone who seems to hate people and get annoyed when other people try to talk to them.

i just... appreciate that diew feels like a real, full person who is MORE than just his introversion. he has his hobbies, interests, and can get sucked into a conversation about his favourite book even with a stranger. he loves his turtle and his family and tries to please (or appease) his mom. he's kind (picks up the papers that flew out of god’s bag at the start), will stop to pet doggies (so relatable), gets frustrated at noisy neighbours but also forgives easily once god apologises.

at the same time, you get the sense that diew could use a bit more branching out. there's nothing wrong with his life, per se, but also meeting someone like god will open up new experiences for him in a way that will help him grow as a person.

and thankfully god seems like a really green-flag love interest thus far and shows a lot of promise for sweet sweet blossoming love down the line. not only does he accept the boundaries that diew places on their relationship, he also takes them 100% seriously. to the point that he puts on mask (at least partly) because he wants to honour the fact that diew doesn't want to see his face yet. and then runs away at the noodle shop once he realises that diew is there. like it's not just condescending indulgence - he respects what diew wants and is willing to make the effort to stick to his conditions! it makes me feel safe in rooting for this couple because already you can see how careful god is handling diew. <3

At least with your green hair you won't have to worry about wearing something visibly green for paddy's day but you'll definitely get a good few people asking if you specifically dyed it for the day, especially if you're anywhere near a parade or event

Honestly I worried too much about assuming American st. Paddy's day was overdoing it and I was too judgy of the americans on the plane decked out in their st paddy's gear. They were meeting the energy.

actually a lot of jinki duos and moments in general don't get attention and it makes me kinda sad, but it is what it is. I just wish some of those moments could go viral so that more people could see what type of person he is but it hardly ever happens nowadays. I know twitter viralability doesn't really mean anything at the end of the day, but it's just frustrating because I know so many of these moments would've taken off if it were between other members (I hope no one takes this as hate against the other members, this is more my frustration with the fandom not really paying attention to jinki and misinterpreting his interactions with the members like you said)

DnDecember Day 12 - Earthly Half-Orc Ranger

Learthal the Half-Orc Swarmkeeper Ranger

Learthal was raised in a quiet life, just him and his family traveling the desert, learning as much how to fight as how to use the land. He has always felt alittle more intuned with the animals more so than the land itself, having a special affinity with the bugs who seem to call out to him in their own language. One the day a large scarab rhino was rampaging threw their settlement Learthal had been the one to not only settle the beast down but also tame it. Since then he was encouraged to go out of his own and really discover who he was. This was the last thing he wanted to do! He is actually very scared of the outside world, and the people he would have to interact with? No way! He is perfectly fine with his bugs and his silence. No he does not want to listen to you talk, he is already rushing off to another clearing just as you sit down. The only reason he is even in this party is because he can't handle the social aspects of adventuring. Everything is so much easier when all you had to do was gather a couple of herbs and make a soup out of it.

By "like mine" do you mean talking about America a lot? The Hetalia blogs I follow tend to be UKUS-centric, mostly. @ameliafuckinjones does a lot of cool meta, though as per their username they are more likely to do it for Amelia/fem America.

Otherwise people tend to post about a variety of Nations so I guess I can't think of a blog that's America-centric. I do see some Alfred meta in the tags from time to time but I think my Alfred tends to be lighter than other serious meta? And because that's not my bread and butter I didn't take note.
