Wrote some fic in honor of the series end.
My take on an ending where they do get Slip out alive (don't worry though, its a Jupeter fic).
Its two chapters and both are posted.

So. What of I wrote a Hunger Games/Juno Steel crossover. And what if it was a backstory for Juno that got out of hand.
And what if I already had 40 k words of what was supposed to be a one-shot before the story that actually features Rita and Nureyev.
And what if it consumed my every waking moment for the past month.
Let's set the scene: 60th Hunger Games, District 3. Two kids from Oldtown thrown into the Games with no hope, no sponsors, no leverage. Without his blaster, what is left for Juno on the Arena? What is a sharpshooter without a gun? And what awaits on the other side of the Games?
Basically, I had a thought: wow, Juno's backstory is pretty dark. Let's make it even darker!

"oh it's great to have a community of writers so u can ask each other about different experiences!" "oh it's so nice being able to get an info dump on someone's interests that winds up helping ur writing!" "we can help support and encourage each other to keep going!" yes yes all this, love connecting with my fellow writers.
aLSO THOUGH having my allo friends help me figure out if I'm being too cringe in trying to describe a character as hot. Always forget how aroace I am until I got a character pov that is NOT and suddenly all understanding of *attraction*

"Peter Nureyev and the Angel of Brahma" is interesting to me. obv it refers to the Guardian Angel System, but I think the cooler thing is that Peter Nureyev IS the Angel of Brahma.
Peter Nureyev, 17, serving the one man he thought he could trust. The man who aimed to bring down a city to prove a point to leaders of an arrogant nation. Peter Nureyev, the messenger who delivered the warning that there would be dire consequences for the actions of arrogant humans. Like an angel serving a vengeful God. It's so biblical and poetic I could die. The fact that Peter never brought justice or followed through on his threats because he's always an angel, never a God. And now he's fallen in a sense.
Peter Nureyev, the Angel of Brahma. Has a nice ring to it.

Post-Canon // Post-Episode s05 e27-28 Juno Steel and the Case Closed // Epilogue // Relationship Discussions // Personal Growth // Getting Back Together // Relationship Negotiation // POV Peter Nureyev // Emotional Baggage // Angst and Fluff and Smut // Reunion Sex // Junoverse | Juno Steel Universe // the Nureyev pov epilogue your heart needs // Case Closed good vibes for our thief // they talk they drink tea they giggle they fuck they give us some closure // 15,240 words // EXPLICIT rating
Summary:
There was a time he hated Hyperion City and all its memories, but it seemed oddly precious to Nureyev now. How could he hate something that was such a pivotal part of Juno Steel? He turned the corner and the block that opened up before him had changed since he saw it last, and yet was immediately recognizable. The floating billboards advertised different brands of swill, but the building he was looking for appeared more or less unchanged. His eyes trailed up the rows of windows automatically, locating the correct one, but the neon reflections hid whatever – whoever – may or may not be inside. It was later in the evening than he had planned, thanks to interplanetary time conversions and spaceport delays, and as the building loomed closer he wondered if it was too late. Too late in the evening, that is. He… he had to believe it was not too late. ~~~ The Nureyev pov nsfw feelsy epilogue you've been longing for
Notes:
I listened to Case Closed, I wept happy tears. I lived with the open ending for two days. I started writing a 'short little one shot' and six days later I had 15k words. Honestly this fic means so much to me and I didn't fully start accepting that the show was over until it was written. I hope it can give you some of the closure it gave me and a whole lot of feels.

None of her friends or neighbors could find fault in any of Sarah Steel’s actions.
“Such a shame,” they could offer, or perhaps “You did the right thing.” Or later, when Sarah’s back was turned, “I couldn’t have done it.”
And Hyperion city grew used to the image of Sarah Steel, both arms laden with a child instead of just the one. Of bright, smiling Benzaiten Steel, an enviably easy child, sweet and pleasant. And in her other arm, stormy and frowning Juno Steel, with the tongue that couldn’t tell a lie and gold eyes that hurt to stare into for too long.
(“I’m glad it wasn’t me,” other mothers of Hyperion city whispered. “I don’t know what I’d do if it were me.”)

aight, I want to work on my WIPs today but I’m having trouble deciding which one to start with. So! Which one should I work on?
Propaganda under cut
Don’t Call Me A Hero
Super hero au fic for DSMP, Techno-centric with a heavy focus on the favor system, attempting to live a normal life after being yanked out of villainy and forcibly rehabilitated, all while investigating the disappearance of a hybrid that leads to the discovery of something much worse. Also takes a look at Sam and Techno’s dynamic because I think that’s an underutilized relationship that isn’t examined enough.
The Grave Sting
Zombie apocalypse au fic for Hermitcraft. It’s a heist to steal the cure for zombification from the Perimeter and Mumbo is in the process of turning into a zombie. Featuring the soup group plus Scar and Grian with background watcher lore. 4/6 chapters posted with about half of chapter five written.
The Price You Pay for Arrogance
A post canon Hermit! Niki one shot where Niki has crashed on the Hermitcraft server and has to slowly heal with the help of the other hermits before she can even think about fixing the space ship that got her there. Featuring Gem and Pearl talking Niki through the trauma of leaving a dying server, Bdubs and Niki bonding over horses and just a nice bit of fluff.
How Dare You Speak of Grace
Detective Pikachu AU for the Junoverse of the Penumbra Podcast. An examination of Junos relationship with his mom and his brother after Benton’s untimely death as Juno unravels just what Ben was up to, befriends a talking Pokémon who sounds strangely similar to him, and maybe falls in love with a nosy and cologne drenched journalist.
Right Me When I’m Wrong
Murder mystery set in the world of Fullmetal Alchemist with a heavy focus on a couple of OCs, one of them being a veteran doctor from the Ishvalan war who has seen firsthand the horrors of what State Alchemists’ power looks like and wants nothing to do with it (they moved to that small mining town for a reason), so when former state alchemist, Edward Elric, comes knocking at their door, accusing them of commuting the crime of human transmutation, they’re bound to be a little angry. Elric reveals that Central has received reports of a serial killer who’s struck the town and seems to be using the bodies of their victims for sick experiments that could only be that act he understands all too well.
Secret Sixth Option
Wouldn’t you like to know weather boy?

In which Peter Nureyev goes undercover at the Vixen Valley and Juno just happens to find him there. Not canon... (maybe). I’ll find out tomorrow when the finale comes out, I guess lol.
And yes, this comic was all just an excuse to draw Nureyev as Jessica Rabbit.
As always, click the pics for better quality.
[ID: A five page fanfiction comic of characters from The Penumbra Podcast, in grayscale.
Page 1: The text at the top of the page reads: “Disclaimer: Not canon (unfortunately).” The first panel shows the exterior of the Vixen Valley at night. Juno’s word bubble reads, “Come on, Vick. We both know you got the intel I need on the guy I’m looking for.” The second panel shows Vicky and Juno sitting in armchairs together inside the Vixen Valley. Vicky’s word bubble reads, “You know how this works by now, Steel. I ain’t in the habit of givin’ out anythin’ I can put a price tag on.” The third panel is a close up of profile Juno looking serious while holding a drink. His word bubble reads, “I do. Just want to make sure it’s a price tag I can afford.” The final panel shows an extreme close-up of Vicky’s grin. Her word bubbles read, “Hehehehe. I guess that depends on how badly you wanna find your ‘guy...’”
Page 2: The first panel shows an employee of the Vixen Valley dressed in a black suit approaching Vicky, their hands behind their back. Their word bubble says, “Ms. Vicky. Your wife is on the phone for you.” A grinning Vicky responds. Her word bubble reads, “Perfect. Steel, gimme a minute. I gotta take this.” The second panel shows a frustrated Juno. His word bubble reads, “Goddamn it, Vick! You can’t just-!” He gets interrupted by another Vicky word bubble, which reads, “God, you’re such a baby.” The third panel shows Vicky and her employee walking away. Vicky grins and gestures behind her with her thumb. Her word bubbles read, “I ain’t leaving for long. Gives me time to think over our little deal. Besides, the show starts soon. And somethin’ tells me you’re gonna like it.” The final panel, which rests partially behind the third panel, shows a still angry Juno shouting to Vicky behind him. In front of Juno is a stage surrounded by tables of waiting patrons and bustling wait staff. Vicky grins mischievously in the foreground as she continues to walk away. Juno’s word bubble reads, “Vicky!” Vicky’s word bubble reads, “Don’t enjoy yourself too much, Steel.”
Page 3: The first panel shows a close-up cartoonish version of Juno pouting (FX: “pout”). His word bubble reads, “hmph.” The second panel is the same close-up but drawn in a less cartoony style. Juno looks upward curiously as the lighting in the room changes and the show begins. The lyrics to the song Why Don’t You Do Right? by Kansas Joe McCoy and Peggy Lee begin to appear in text boxes surrounded by music notes. The third panel shows the curtains on the stage, now lit from behind by a spotlight to show off the silhouette of the hidden performer posing sensuously. In the fourth panel, Juno gapes up at the stage in interest as other patrons cheer and whistle around him (FX: “whistle” and “woo!”). The final panel shows the silhouetted performer behind the curtain doing another pose. The lyrics on this page are: “You had plenty money 1922/You let other women make a fool of you/Why don’t you do right?”
Page 4: The song lyrics continue across this page. The first panel shows the performer sticking a long leg out from behind the curtain. The second panel shows a close up of Juno’s eyes as they widen and he blushes. The third panel shows the performer stepping out from behind the curtain and grinning, but the second panel partially covers the third, obscuring the performer’s face. We can still tell that they have round glasses, light skin, long dark hair, and long, slender fingers. In the fourth panel, we see the back of the performer’s head as they push the curtains aside. More patrons of the Vixen Valley watch with rapt attention. The fifth panel shows a close up of the performer’s high-heels as they slowly strut across the stage. The sixth panel shows a squinting Juno. His word bubble reads, “No way...” The seventh panel shows an extreme close up of the performer’s heavily lashed eye behind their glasses. The lyrics on this page are: “Like some other men do?/Get out of here/Get me some money too.”
Page 5: The final page of the comic. The first panel takes up about three quarters of the page. It is a full view of the performer on stage, revealing him to be Peter Nureyev dressed in a Jessica-Rabbit-style dress. He poses sensuously, hand on his hip, leg stretched out, and head tilted back. The second panel shows a grinning and slightly flushed Juno with a little heart beside his head. The final panel of the comic is the moment Nureyev notices Juno is there watching him. He gasps, looking embarrassed and blushing furiously. The lyrics on this page are: “Get out of here/Get me some-.” The second line is cut off by Nureyev’s gasp (FX: “gasp”).

So I did a thing and wrote a Penumbra fic. Basically I’ve had season 2 brain rot and couldn’t stop thinking about how the THEIAs work and how they would leave an effect even after they were gone. I’m working on one for the psychological effects but I cranked out a chronic illness hurt/comfort fic for the physical effects.
I wasn’t gonna make a post about it but @seth-silver-ink beta’d for me and asked me to so 🤪🤪🤪

For as long as Peter Nureyev can remember, he’s been able to see ghosts. It was a useful skill for a kid on the streets of Brahma but he has since found limited use for it within the rest of the galaxy. That is, until he meets Juno Steel and his twin, undetected by the detective for two decades.
A friendly ghost can be very useful for a lot of things, such as cheating at cards, being an invisible lookout in an ancient Martian tomb, or even as an emotional translator for his grumpy twin. With Benten now along for the adventure, it changes the course of Juno and Nureyev’s lives, from their very first meeting, all the way to the fight against the THEIA for the soul of Hyperion.

Chapter 2: Juno Steel and the Primrose Path
Juno struggles to wrap his head around... well everything... Ben helps. Everything is perfect after all.
Chapter two of my Penumbra fic is out now!
This fic takes place on the Carte Blanche a month or so after they have all come together.
A mission goes wrong and Juno gets thrown head first back into his drug addiction.
Luckily he has Ben back to help him through it.
And if the hallucination of Ben drives him to isolate from his crew that's okay... he probably knows best... maybe he is more real than they are actually... after all everything is perfect now... right?

'Despite the fact that Nureyev would kiss me like he couldn’t live without my lips at every chance he got, he didn't seem to share my eagerness to re-consummate our newly restored relationship. Which was fine, honestly. Totally and completely fine. I felt damn lucky to be alive, and even luckier that I got to share that life with him. And I’d sooner fling myself out the airlock into the frozen crushing void of space than try and get something from him that he didn’t want to give me, so, yeah. It was fine.
It was just a little weird, and a lot frustrating. We’d been doing a lot of talking but we had not touched the topic of all the sex we weren’t having, and we’d been doing a lot of incredibly passionate kissing, only for him to inevitably leave me hanging.
I knew he loved me, and he sure seemed like he wanted me, but then why did he keep pulling away when I was right there for the taking? Why was it that even when I had him, he was always still just out of my reach?'
Notes:
This was supposed to be a quick smut one-shot but the characters had other plans and before I knew it, there were 7 chapters and an illustration by yours truly
~~~
Angst, smut, hurt/comfort!
Summary:
The crowd parts before him like Red Sea. He wishes it could swallow him whole. He keeps his head high and eyes straight ahead. Then he makes a mistake and looks at the screen next to the stage. It’s split in two, like his life now: one part Juno’s own face, dark and haughty, jaw set and split lip. And next to him Ben, his mirror image – crying and shouting and held in place by Sasha. Seeing that Juno falters, hands trembling in sudden absence, sorrow in his heart a physical pain and he almost looks back. Almost. He fixes his gaze on the podium and doesn’t let himself look back. He had heard enough stories to make that mistake. - Juno Steel is born in District 3. It changes some things. Some things stay the same. Welcome to 60th Hunger Games.
This fic has consumed me for the past two months. It's a Hunger Games and Juno Steel fusion, first part of a series.
A kid, thrown on the Arena to die. A teenager, bound by promises. Enemies and allies, and the blurry lines between the two.
And what lies beyond.
