straight up refusing to acknowledge star trek: generation’s existence. it didn’t happen
you mean to tell me, after an entire series and SIX movies dedicated to the triumvirate found family, kirk immediately goes missing, and then dies alone 80 years later because of time travel nexus bullshit?
bones and spock never see him again??? ever???
no. kirk, spock, and bones retire and grow old together. they’re married. they have 2 cats and love to play 5d chess with multiverse time travel. that’s the ONLY canon i accept

Now that the series is over, I wanna get something off my chest. Ever since the end of the Togachako battle, and especially 429, I'm mad at anyone who has Toga as a hero either in a she never became a villain sense or a rehabilitation way and doesn't have Ochako interact with her. Let my girls talk to each other! To grow and heal, even if it's just in the background, don't let Ochako's promise be in vain. Even if it's in a platonic way, even if it's a throwaway line I just need them to interact.

…I had a think…
So, y’know how ‘03, 2012, and Rise Leos all have an affinity for puns? Imagine a crossover between all three (Post-Canon/Post-Movie for all) where, at first, every interaction is just pure angst fest, feeding off each other’s broody-ness, until one day, all 12 of the turtles go on patrol together, and they come across the perfect pun-portunity, and end up starting a pun loop that has all their siblings suffering for hours
Then, they get home, and start a pun war, going back and forth with the worst puns imaginable until they’re all cackling; laughing their scaly green asses off in a way that they haven’t felt able to in Pizza Supreme knows how long.
I just want to imagine the looks on their siblings’ faces..
The ‘03 siblings looking on with mild surprise at their eldest brother -their “Fearless Leader”- laughing so openly and so freely, a visible weight seemingly lifted off his shoulders that they somehow hadn’t even noticed was there.. and for a moment, they start to feel lighter too… I guess you never really know something’s missing until you have it…
The 2012 siblings staring almost frozen in surprise at the bright smile on Leo’s face, though not entirely sure why… even if he had been excessively broody lately, it couldn’t possibly have been that long since they had seen him smile like that (other than while watching Space Heroes of course).. could it?
And the Rise gang is nearly in tears, so happy to finally see Leo laugh the way he used to, seemingly unburdened by guilt and fear the way he had been for what was really only a few months (post-movie), but had felt like several lifetimes.. to see him joking around with that familiar air of confidence that they had all once found annoying, but now had grown to miss.
They all watch their brothers smile and laugh- true, genuine joy that could easily brighten any room- and, for the first time in a long time, everything feels okay. Even if the puns are still terrible.

May a million blessings from the Great Bird of the Galaxy rain down upon all the fic writers who find a way around the myriad barriers that canon places in the way of Kirk and Spock living happily ever after.

ELENDIL THE TALL and TAR-MIRIEL ― Love is the Bane of Honour, the Death of Duty
“What is honour compared to a woman's love? What is duty against the feel of a new-born son in your arms? Wind and words. We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory, and our great tragedy.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
