life tip: fabric softener is a bandaid fix for a washing process that damages your clothes. not only is it not suitable for certain fabrics, such as those intended for absorption, it also can trap moisture leading to musty clothes and cakes up the inside of your washer! if your clothes are coming out of the dryer hard and uncomfortable, what you really want is water softener. my clothes are now softer than ever with no downy at all!
dryer sheets can have a similar effect of coating your clothes and trapping moisture. a reusable static-absorbing ball will not and is more sustainable! putting something in your dryer to prevent static wrinkles does make a huge difference in how well the clothes come out, especially for large loads!

I have a friend who was never taught how to take care of herself, including how to wash/brush/braid her hair, how to wash her face, how to care for acne, how to brush her teeth correctly, how to apply makeup and correctly wash it off, ect. In order to keep her anonymous and also get all the info (as I'm not one to do all the tutorials alone) I'm croudsourcing this info. If you're free, please pick a self care topic and write a simple tutorial on it. If you don't have time, well wishes are also appreciated.
Oh, of course! I'm not very well versed on all of these, but I can talk about how to brush your teeth properly!!!
So, basic things for dental hygiene: A toothbrush, some toothpaste, dental floss/flossers, and I personally also use mouthwash, but it's not something everyone uses.
You'll want to find a toothpaste that works for you, because some people have more sensitive teeth than others do. It's all kinda trial and error with that.
To brush your teeth, you start with your toothbrush. I personally wet it under running water, then add my toothpaste, but people do it differently. Once you've gotten your toothbrush prepped and added your toothpaste, you'll want to brush your teeth for 2 minutes. Make sure to get every bit of your teeth. If you can't visualize two minutes in your head, you can listen to any of these songs while you do! After you've brushed for two minutes, get a cup of water and rinse and spit. You don't want to swallow the toothpaste.
Flossing is also important! I tend to use flossers because they're easier to maneuver. You'll want to floss between each tooth, to make sure you get out any buildup your toothbrush didn't get. It doesn't have to take very long, just as long as you get between each tooth.
If you use mouthwash, the bottle's cap should have a fill line. You'll pour the mouthwash into the cap, up to the fill line, then swish and spit. Definitely don't want to swallow the mouthwash.
It's recommended you use the 2/2 rule when brushing your teeth! The 2/2 rule is 2 minutes, 2 times a day (morning and night). This link helps explain it! If course, if you can't manage that, once a day is perfectly fine. Just do what you can!
I hope this helps!
