A typical "I got carried away while practicing anatomy and the allure of rendering shiny gold was too great" WIP
Also jesus christ he's holding the little cloth that's attached to his belt. I am putting this here just to cover my back in case anyone thinks I am much bolder than I actually am. That's not his dick, I'm just bad at rendering bunched up fabric
And even then, I will always maintain leaving things up to the imagination is infinitely more tasteful like 65% of the time

I want to see how simon’s friends back in ooo are responding to the fact that he went missing. I like to imagine that at least either finn or marceline came to check up on him since finn’s the only person he’s opened up to, and marceline is the last person he SPOKE to before disappearing off the face of the earth without warning.
So while they’re freaking out bc their friend who was last seen having a mental health crisis has gone missing, simon’s out there getting flirted at by himself while his old oc’s tag along and dunk on him constantly.

So in my “will-i-won’t-i” with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (where I procrastinate and don’t watch the shows and only absorb the content through TikTok, Tumblr and sometimes Twitter) I came across Staticmoth/ VoxVal.
I saw the scene with Angel and Valentino. His abuse and disgusting behavior. I have an idea on how this moth asshole behaves.
And I have seen some people think that their relationship would be toxic, that Vox and Val, if the predictions are correct and become (or are revealed to be) a couple, would beat the shit (physically, mentally and emotionally) out of each other on the regular, but I think the idea that him and Vox having a healthy relationship could be such a punch to the gut plot wise.
Because that would mean Valentino IS capable of understanding consent. He KNOWS what working with someone else means without disrespect. He FULLY knows what sex is supposed to be like.
But that’s is between equals. Vox? His equal. Fellow overlord.
Angel? His property. Why would he give a shit about his thing?

I have so many friends who are into muscular women I'm basically drowning in positivity for beefcakes. So much so that my neck nearly snaps from the whiplash I get coming across irl rancid opinions from folks who think women shouldn't be built like brick houses, and get scared whenever a lady has a strong jawline

hmmmm thinking about how the first and only time ruth fleming gets praise for her acting, something she dreams of doing, is from max jägerman. a popular kid who gives her a bow and tells her “that was really special.” and the next time she sees him, he boos her, the first time she feels comfortable enough to perform on a stage, even with no one around. and then he KILLS HERRRRRR.

Like I know it's self indulgence but it'd be so funny to see a full kardashian style Brucie Wayne, spoilt playboy prince of Gotham, local sunshine idiot on the front page every other week for darwinian levels of idiocy or billionaire levels of donations.
But he gets kidnapped or something and there's illusions or mind magics that make him think he's in the bat suit and then he gets dumped in the middle of a live world broadcast arena to fight some goons.
Like he doesn't think anything of it, batman's been kidnapped and forced into gladitorial arenas for sport many times before, maybe he always carries concealed weapons so he's still got like grapples and batarangs and stuff, but he's just going full doomslayer on these guys. No cowl. No suit. Just an open silk shirt and a pair of slacks. In full view of the world.
Tell you what, what about the whole justice league. Just a group of the motleyest people you've ever met. There's about as many famous people as there are absolute nobodies.
Several billionaires defer to the guy who writes articles on outdated lead in buildings and socio economic corruption. There's a renowned museum curator flying and uppercutting aliens so hard they get tossed across the room. There's a guy who spoke in science conferences about meta containment procedures running up the wall and delivering a roundhouse kick to three enemies at once. Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen. Of all people. Two world famous idiot ceo celebrities. And they're back to back whaling on armoured alien henchmen like a well oiled team. A ten year old podcaster shooting lightning from his fingers and no one in the group bats an eye.
Just.... Insanity.

the way that the steph story in showcase '95 #5 is a steph story written by not dixon in the 90s & has some of the best character work that *includes* a lot of the negative traits she was given by dixon && ends up having some absolutely excellent parallels with bruce in gotham knights #1 and yet the only thing people want to use out of it is that she was on the gymnastics team.
okay. seriously, though. the story is that steph is on her school gymnastics team & her mom comes to a meet (much to steph's chagrin) & her mom immediately clocks that her coach is a junkie & steph refuses to believe her at first because to her her coach is a responsible adult (and the safest one she knows) who wouldn't do that & then does some investigating after a kid dies from a car accident after meeting with the coach due to driving under the influence & finds out that not only was he dealing drugs, he didn't think he was doing anything wrong with his double life & steph has to grapple with the idea of how anyone could lead such a double life *while* keeping her own double life a secret. like it has the all the highlights of peak steph characterization to me:
inability to fully divest herself from her biases meaning she refuses to acknowledge at first what's clear to others (see also: unintentional but fantastic parallels to bruce in gotham knights #1)
her shame over her own life circumstances--having an addict mother & criminal father--that she wants to divest herself from completely and pretend they don't exist so she is made completely uncomfortable when people see them because reminders of their existence goes against the narrative of 'being able to fit in with her peers and that she'e not like 'those' people' that steph is desperately trying to hold onto (see also: her immediate backing down on her suspicions when her friends tell her she's overreacting)
steph being a child of an addict while probably logically knowing that addiction is complicated thing, but being a child affected by a parent with addition has a lot of trouble seeing addiction as anything but a poor choice her mother makes and that people she deems good wouldn't be so weak as to make those same choices. steph being a character who is biased and thinks that people can choose their circumstances because she is someone who's just going to choose to be a better person and raise herself above her circumstances unlike her parents who hurt her is chefskiss. to me.
steph's motivations trending towards selfish--she goes after her coach because a kid died, but the crux of her conflict with her coach is about the personal betrayal she felt after her suspicions are confirmed and he was involved, it's more about her versus the death of someone. which is why her double life is juxtaposed against that of her coach/the villain. because steph's decision to be the spoiler isn't about the victims or a duty to them, it's about her. the tendency in her stories to compare and contrast her choice to be a vigilante vs. a criminal choosing to do crime (usually her father) is often used in interesting ways--hidden beneath her steadfast refusal to be anything like them is an uneasy similarity in that she's doing this for her own self-satisfaction more than anything else, much like her father. and her lies being shown in comparison to her coach's lies & steph's lack of internal conflict over her lies in comparison to her coach thinking he did no wrong...it's soo intriguing.

I haven't done art professionally in years but there's this fancy gallery down the street that often has the worst art I've ever seen on display for thousands of dollars and it makes me so angry that I wanna create better but then I get home and I. Don't

Lmaooo yeah that characterization is pretty much on point.

Kinda funny to me that along with all the other ways Fusion turned Metroid conventions on their head, arguably just as radical as the rest was the addition of ladders and a ledge grab. It's like reading a list of charges starting with arson and murder and ending in jaywalking.
Samus's gunship? Gone, blew up. She gets a replacement, sure, but it's a completely different shape and color, and the hatch is on the bottom instead of up top; it's just not the same. Samus's armor? Got infected and half-disassembled, now everything hits way harder and she looks all freaky. Metroids? Gone, but she is one now. The Ice Beam, the single most important upgrade in any of the prior games? Can't use it anymore, and she's weak to it now. Setting? Not a planet this time, but a sterile space station; even the enclosed habitats retain a distinctly artificial feeling. Chozo statues? Only one, and it turns out to be fake anyway; now upgrades are obtained by download stations. Item pickups? Replaced by creatures that run away and can turn back into enemies if you don't grab them quickly enough. The X even try to mimic missile expansions to get the drop on Samus at one point. The unseen but implicitly good Federation? Very much no longer trustworthy.
Even traversal feels different, with finding secret passages and indirect routes constantly required for progression as the direct paths get demolished. And of course, the much-discussed enforced linearity, and constant directions and waypoints from a talkative mission control AI. And of course of course, literally the embodiment of Samus's former power and freedom hunting her new self down throughout.
Where Super zigged, Fusion zagged. If there is an expected direction for the game to go in, Fusion subverts it. Anything familiar and nice, Fusion destroys and replaces with something unwelcoming or different. And yet, in its audacity, it works.
Oh, and now you can climb stuff lol.

i really dont need some extravagant 100k word fanfiction with slow burns and angst
all i need is a small 1k word fic where they are sitting on the floor of their childhood bedroom with dust particles seen through the golden sun shining through the window. i need a first kiss, someone walking in unexpectedly, cracking a joke, then a sweet scene of them saying "about time 💀"
thats really all i ask for
