Somewhere in an alternate universe…where Batman has asked Lonnie to become Robin

While Tim isn’t exactly the most interesting Robin I think it’s notable that out of all the protégés he comfortably has the best Rogue’s Gallery and it Carrie’s him a long way. Barb has Killer Moth, and formerly the Cavalier I guess, and Damien has his family but all of them are mostly Bruce’s villains. And everyone has rivals in Bruce’s rogue’s gallery but those connections never stick. Tim’s got Anarky, King Snake, and the General as pretty much exclusively his nemeses, and he’s got a great dynamic with all of them, like Lonnie, Dorrance, and Ulysses are all full fledged rogues with history, and most of that history is up against Tim. Steph is the only competition, but Cluemaster is ontologically pathetic by design and it’s tougher to have him be a recurring threat yknow. I think it’s worth putting energy into, because otherwise you end up with Dick’s most recurring foes being Blockbuster and Double Dare, I like Blockbuster and Double Dare more than most, but if they’re your arch-villains then something is wrong.

Bernard Dowd and Tim's 7 Evil Exes but they're not anyone Tim's actually dated (because lbr, anyone's who's dated Tim would not go through the trouble of fighting his boyfriend for him)

if you’re a fan of enemies to lovers and also a fan of tim drake (or if you hate him bc of fanon reasons stay here for a minute trust me) PLEASE consider my proposition.

so one of my big problems with timsteph is that it does a disservice to steph’s character almost all of the time, and also they’re not compatible, my issue with timkon is that they give off best friends with no boundaries and that their codependency is lowkey not vibey, AND people are weird about it. my issue with timbern IS THAT ITS BORING.

so! whats left you may ask. lonnie machin aka anarky.

brief history of the character: lonnie was maybe concieved to be the third robin, something that tim drake would go on to do. he’s incredibly smart, and incredibly strong in his convictions. he got caught operating as the vigilante Anarky by Batman and was put into juvie. in juvie, he had a scheme to funnel moneys from corporations into the third world. tim drake ended up spoiling this plan, leading to the infamous-

of course, after lonnie gets out, they keep interacting-

and of course, the two of them and tam fox have some funny moments together.

also, they both fight with staffs and with hacking, and they’re narrative parallels with different morals. timlonnie is so underrated in terms of the dynamic they have and also the potential they have as a enemies to rivals to lovers ship. the potential they could have, not as a couple that changes each other, but as a couple that meets in the middle?

of course feel free to support whatever you want except for batcest, i just wanted more people to think about it!!

TimLonnie but miraculous ladybug style and worse bc

Lonnie hates trust fund baby Tim Drake but falls face-first into the dirt for Boy Wonder, Robin.

Tim's bi-awakening his ex-girlfriend's one-month fling, and he doesn't know how to deal, but this Anarky guy is the most annoying piece of shite he'd ever met.

Stephanie is their Luka. She wants to bash their head together until they bleed to death
