Hello, i'm here again! Yeah, i had already read the analysis about Ultracheese, it's definitely really good. In both songs despite the similarities in the lyrics as if he were talking about the same person it's possible to notice that both songs have different ideas, i mean Ultracheese seems to be about how things aren't the same anymore and even though he talks about the pictures of friends on the wall he makes it clear that he realized later that it wasn't just friendship (in a Milex perspective he's definitely talking about Miles) meanwhile in The Dream Synopsis he seems to be literally talking about his dreams to someone else and i would really like a better analysis of this song (It was you and me and Miles Kane tho). But back to the similarities i don't think he's talking about Taylor in the beginning of The Dream Synopsis, i mean he describes the relationship as a secret and we all know they had a public relationship until 2018, so it doesn't make sense to me (but maybe it makes sense in the context of the song). I don't know, but i totally agree when you said that his songs seems to be like sequels. Thank you for answering and sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language and i don't even know if i'm making any sense at all
Hi there anon! I'm so glad to see you again!
Glad to see you have already read that analysis before! I'd recommend it to anybody heh.
I have the same idea with you about Ultracheese and TDS! But going straight to your Taylor comment, now that you mention it I can kinda see it. But I don't know much actually with the details about Alex' past relationships so I really can't be the judge of that, however I can kinda see where you're getting at with the fact that it's secret! It really is quite intriguing how yes, in fact, they were keeping it secret, even though his relationship with Taylor was anything but. I'd love to see the lyrics of this studied more, as I do not have enough context to give a definite conclusion.
The song is very much Alex talking about his dreams to someone though, possibly a true experience? Because he mentions throughout the song that he's worried this third party finds his dreams "boring" or "ugly".
Going back to the sequels point, yes, HAHAHHA, basically yes. Again, I think Alex just writes about what he's feeling albeit his "feelings" are always expressed to us in this confusing mix of movie references and song titles and symbolic situations that take a lot of picking and brushing to find the true meaning. So it's not really a surprise that when Alex writes new things they interconnect in a way, especially now, when his most recent albums starting from ETYCTE have become more self-introspective or self-reflective. It gives us a little peak of the emotions he has and its always so unbearably somber. I feel underneath all the rubble and mess of deep lyrics we find pure emotion in what he sings about, and it's quite beautiful to say the least.
Please do not worry about your English, you sound better at it than I am! You make total sense and I agree with many of your ideas. I love having discussions like this, so please, if you have any more ideas I'd love to hear from you again have another chat! I do hope I am not straying far from what you want to hear, and if I am, please be my guest and discuss with me some more, heh. Thank you anon for coming back and giving me some more interesting points <3 I hope to hear from you again!

You have a complex relationship with your body and need to keep some/all of your clothes on during sex?
That's okay, what you're wearing looks good on you.
You need to take a lot of breaks doing anything intimate because you're easily overwhelmed?
I understand, I'm just happy to be here with you.
You're on medication that impacts your libido/makes reaching orgasm really difficult?
No pressure, tell me what feels good for you, and if you get frustrated we can do something else together.
Sex isn't going to look the same for everybody and that's fine, that's normal.
Sometimes you don't orgasm, sometimes you need to stop because your mood changes out of nowhere, sometimes you get really self conscious and need accommodations to take your mind off of it.
People are too complex for everybody to go about it the same, just keep doing what feels best for you, regardless of how different it may seem from other people's experiences.

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !
Twst coming back at us again with the least expected romanization! thank you everybody (oh god my inbox) (no it's great, I literally asked for this and the reactions have been INCREDIBLE, thank you all!)
I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!
someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)
uhhhh thank you for letting me ramble about anime names, let's just say MONOGRAMMED SWEATERS FOR EVERYONE

I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.
Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.
Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.
And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.
All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.

there’s such an attitude among ex-christian atheists that religions just spring up out of the void with no cultural context behind them. like ive heard people say shit like “those (((zionists))) think they own a piece of land bc their book of fairy tales told them so!!!” and they refuse to understand that no, we don’t belong there because of the torah, it’s in the torah because we belong there. because we’re from there. the torah (from a reform perspective) was written by ancient jews in and about the land that they were actively living on at the time. the torah contains instructions for agriculture because the people who lived in the land needed a way to teach their children how to care for it. it contains laws of jurisprudence because those are pretty important to have when you’re trying to run a society. same for the parts that talk about city planning. it contains our national origin story for the same reason that american schools teach kids about the boston tea party. it’s an extremely complex and fascinating text that is the furthest thing from just a “book of fairy tales”

It's official. I have finished The Sunshine Court. I have so many things to say and yet have no idea what to possibly say. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect and heartbreaking and gut wrenching and an insane emotional roller coaster and everything i could possibly have asked for from Nora. Like she really truly delivered and i'm so fucking INSANELY grateful she has shared this story with us after all these years. We do not deserve her.

The King's Informants
Many would say that the Infinite Realms were at peace, now that the ghosts weren't constantly attacking Amity. And in a way they were, but still had some problems.
The Infinite Realms were chaotic and usually didn't follow any rules, Danny's reign didn't change that. That was because death had its own rules and the Realms did their job, Pariah was just horrible at being a ruler and also horrible at making sure everything was more or less where it should be.
When the Ancients recorded a lost soul (which was more common than it seemed), which was neither a ghost nor had passed "to the afterlife" directly, Danny tended to ask the citizens of Amity Park for help, who were grateful with him for his ex job as hero and used to help him. Even if they weren't living in Amity.
Danny would sometimes communicate with them in their sleep, with some help from Nocturne, and explain what they needed to investigate (Danny felt they were some kind of secret informants, or spies, if he was being honest.)
This time, the Realms were in turmoil as "Jason Todd's" soul was missing (and no, Danny wasn't pouting about losing his friend), his soul hadn't registered in any other death cycles or Resurrection. So the King asked Dash to investigate about it and Dash, now a Policeman from Gotham, taked his job seriously.
The "no one is forgotten" network was made up of Amity citizens willing to investigate missing soul anomalies in other cities. This was mostly the Justice League's fault or to do with them, which was pretty frustrating.
Danny was wondering if he should pay them a visit when he was informed that the missing soul was in the realm of the living. The halfa sighed tiredly, he wasn't going to kill Jason to repair the "cycle of life and death" (because that would be hypocritical) but he had to solve the problems caused by said alteration. Being King was fucking tiring.

No but like every time I think about Splinter and what he had to go through just to keep the boys alive, my heart hurts for him so badly. Is he perfect? No not at all, but none of them are and by god does he love his sons.
The fact that all of them are alive, and grew to thrive despite the circumstances surrounding them is a testament of how much Splinter loves his boys. He raised four babies following the most traumatic time of his life, all alone with nothing but the sewers to house them (to hide them.) I feel like he’s not given the credit he deserves for all he’s done.
And I get that it’s easy to hold up his flaws and faults when it comes to parenting, I myself like looking into them because flawed characters are super interesting and said flaws make them more realistic and engaging, but he tries, and again, so many others would have given up on the boys or failed along the way but Splinter didn’t.
He’s their father, for all his faults he did his damndest to make sure they survived.
