been thinking about the differences between SASASAP and ISAT lately. because looking just at ISAT and the two hats ending, you'd think loop went through the exact same house as our siffrin, but looking at SASASAP, it's different. it's mixed up. it's obviously a condensed prototype.

but. that doesn't have to mean it's a different universe entirely.

maybe that's just what happens after a thousand loops.

the house warped in act 5. siffrin lost their shit and the house got changed and corrupted, far past its baseline king uncanniness. so it wouldn't be too out-of-the-question for it to be able to warp in more subtle ways as well, due to a more subtle breakdown.

like a jpeg uploaded and downloaded a thousand times, siffrin changed, and the loops changed. over a thousand loops of efficiency, the house got more efficient. rooms combining. items moving. data compressing. and of course, run in a changed house, the script changed as well. it did so slowly, one bit at a time, over a thousand loops of zoned-out half-listening – and by the time siffrin would have noticed each difference, they were already used to it. (and in the moments that they did look at a room that was less familiar than it should be and realize that they had no idea where to find the key, well. that's just classic siffrin, isn't it.)

through sheer repetition, siffrin was corrupted, and the loops and the house along with them. all purpose lost, all signals distorted, until finally they couldn't recognize the meaning in any of it. it was all noise and despair.

so they made a wish. and the loop restarted. not just a reboot, but something more complete.

the data was backed up onto a star – a guide, a warning, a reference – and the loops were factory reset. and for the first time in a thousand loops, siffrin woke up to a clear mind and the crisp sound of birdsong.

Everyone is part of the collective consciousness. So when you make a change to your life story and decide "yep, this is how it went", that new information gets fed into the grid and it becomes part of other peoples memories as well. It becomes part of the "updated" collective consciousness

And also with self-concept.

Once you decide on new self-concept with new character traits. You feed that information into the grid and it becomes part of other people's perception of you as well.

Hello and welcome to the first info post about our magical hero concept!! Here, I'll be discussing our familiars and enemies, but keep in mind that I don't know everything yet! This concept wasn't scripted at all! I was chosen by Pyxis (my familiar) completely out of nowhere, and I'm learning more and more as I interact with Dreamworld and fight more nightmares. All info posts will be updated as more accurate information comes up.

Fairies ˖˚₊ ✧

Fairies are the primary inhabitants and rulers of Dreamworld, possessing the ability to travel between realms and bestow a certain amount of power upon a hero of their choosing. They have 2 forms: a smaller one more clearly reminiscent of your typical 'mascot character', and a more humanoid one with bug wings (like what the average person would usually think when they hear "fairy") and a few other distinctly nonhuman features! They usually have a symbol of some sort on their forehead (like my friend pyxis who has a crescent moon) and a specific colour associated with them. They're ageless, extremely magically capable, and incredibly friendly! Just like everything else in Dreamworld, they live off of the dreams, creativity, ambitions, and beliefs of mortals, but specifically in a more positive light. Without all that, they'd cease to exist!

They typically show themselves in dreams or as energetic beings, and I'm unsure if they're able to manifest themselves physically..

Nightmares ˖˚₊ ✧

Now, I don't know too much about nightmares since I'm a bit of a beginner, but I'll share what I do know in this post. Just like I said in the fairy section, they thrive off of mortal creativity as well. However, they're the opposite of fairies. They take on all the negative aspects of that power. Fear, anxiety, those horrible "what if"s that send people spiraling - that's creativity too, and it's one of the worst kinds. That is what nightmares need to live. Visually, smaller ones take on the appearance of sludgy pitch black shadows that prefer to lurk in little corners, which makes them very hard to get rid of.. larger nightmares more closely resemble actual creatures in comparison to the smaller ones, and while they can be rather hostile and overpowering, they are easier to deal with when they're bigger!

As a magical hero, it's important to keep certain things in mind while going against nightmares: specifically the fact that when you're fighting them, you're not killing them when you win. While scary things like them can be harmful, they're a necessary evil. There's a balance to be maintained, and that's why we fight! Nightmares have always been there, and that's why we can't get rid of them. It's like ridding the world of a specific species just because you "don't like them" and think they "serve no purpose". No matter how much you dislike them, removing them from the ecosystem will cause things to collapse. We fight nightmares when they overthrow the balance and become too powerful, and the battle is won when they're returned to normal and removed from the effected area.

On the bright side, fighting nightmare monsters can strengthen your tolerance for ACTUAL nightmares in my experience! I haven't had many at all since becoming a magical hero, and in the single nightmare I did have, I was completely uneffected!

THE TEMPTATION, OTHERWISE A TEMPTRESS TO SUITORS THAT “DARE” TO INDULGE; TO MEET A FATE THAT’S FORBID. Attributes include the ability to lure their 'prey' in with just a glance, emanating tenacious sensuality, and exhibiting divinity [energetically]. Poison with legs, seeping into the thoughts of anyone's minds. Heightened emotional intelligence assists them in hypnotizing others. Seduction is an accessory, a mask of sex they can put on [“and off”] at anytime.

♰♰♰ An innate power of transformation is what this pile has. Able to demand ("command") a room with just their presence, let alone a word, they're perceived as the Magician; resourceful, magical, and opulent. Something of them is practical, as in they're adept to the metaphysical and what it may offer. LOA, glamour (or "sex") magick, visualization and scripting are familiar concepts. Witchcraft is a part of them, as it could've been passed down or learned ["through lineage"]. Genetic gifts that assist their "urges", or more importantly their fantasies. Non-conforming, unconventional ways and ideal (as they are the same). At most, this pile's aura feels mystical, untouchable and otherworldly. This kind of force can be turned off and on; felt by everyone, seen by none. Will attract "watchers" i.e. stalkers online or in real life. ♰♰♰ "Too hot to touch”; very tempting group here, even more so when they're done up to "play the part". Sensing that red, ginger (or “orange”) hair can emphasize their burn (fire). Hot! An edgier aesthetic suits them better than most, as if their mystique abruptly magnified. LONGTERM CONNECTIONS ARE PRONE TO COME ABOUT, DUE TO CAPTURING LOVERS IN THEIR WEB. It's more of being bound than being "in love", and that's because Pile One doesn't leave them alone until Pile One says so; a pulley system only they control. At worst, this is a manipulation tactic in the hands of a former ["serial"] cheater, unless Pile One has evolved and grown out those ways. Trapped in a trance, pulled along a thin string, kept in an unopened box; partners don't conceptualize self-value when Pile One's not there. This as a scenario would be the equivalent of man pleading on his knees and to the world for his girl, like the music videos. Someone that’ll die for querent, feeling nothing but raging love. Discarding dinner date plans for a night alone instead, opting out of fling appointments to mingle with friends, etc. "I gotta put myself first," "hasta la vista," and "me time" sum them up to a tee. Hesitating between shoe selection versus before asking someone to get out of bed and leave; to them partners are disposable, replaceable. Not #1 [because that's reserved for themselves], but the very bottom of the list instead. Mindset of an Earth sign, Virgo (Moon or 1H) in particular—"mother knows best". It's attractive that someone won't accept less than what they've done for themselves [already], they impress themselves. Of course the studio online script of “Nosferatu” (2024) is all wrong, these people even failed to properly translate the one time Count Orlok is addressed as a strigoi by the narrative:

The elderly Romanian lady is performing a strigoi banishing ritual with garlic: “Dau cu usturoi de strigoi. Dau cu usturoi de strigoi”, which translates to “I give you garlic, strigoi. I give you garlic, strigoi.” At the very least, they could have translated “strigoi” to “undead” or “vampire” or something. Why “you”? When the Romani vampire hunters locate the grave, they mention “moroi” and the subtitles say “vampire”. Which is other red flag in this scene because, while the legends are diverse, “moroi” are, usually, ghost-like beings and connected to spirits of children (unbaptized or those who died before birth).

These banishing rituals are tradition during Saint Andrew’s night, where it’s believed evil spirits, but mostly strigoi, come together to compete to bring sadness and misfortune to the living, and see who can torment the most people. It’s tradition to place garlic at doors and windows to keep the strigoi at bay during this night. Count Orlok himself mentions this to Thomas (extended cut):

And Orlok laughs because he’s of Dacian origin, and is aware of the Pagan origins of Saint Andrew’s night, as the Dacian New Year, and “Day of the Wolf”, the sacred animal of the Dacians.

The majority of the audience is mistaking this Count Orlok for a Zburător because his haunting of Ellen appears to be sexual. This is another ghost/demonic creature from Romanian folklore, a sort of incubus who has sex with young women during the night. The not so small detail about this demon is that he appears as a young, handsome man, with flowing black hair. Not as a rotten corpse like Count Orlok, who’s a quintessential strigoi down to the last detail, and a Pagan enchanter who practiced Sex Magick in life, and that’s why it’s sexual energy that conjures him (connected to Aleister Crowley Thelema); not as a characteristic of his haunting and demonic nature.

The Karma Engine resembles a giant spirit house but with the offering platform replaced with a giant prayer wheel etched with the appropriate offeratory mantras written in Twilight Karitan, a writing system that has no spoken language. Within the prayer wheel is a furnace. There, little gods, weaponsouls, ghosts, sacrificial people, and mantra-mandalas are burned upon samadhi fires. Karma Engines are therefore a joint machinist-monk invention (and indeed, the patenter of the technology is widely agreed to have been Vajra Monk Rakan Jesung, who grew up in a working-class machinist family).

In so doing, their karma is converted into usable energy, often electrical energy or mechanical energy. The study of karma is known as Karmalogy in the world.

The ethics of such an invention was hotly disputed when it was crafted. Vajra Monk Rakan Jesung was always seen as a pariah and an apostate, and as someone who perverted the teachings of the Buddha Gnostics.

But it was wildly useful. In a world mostly influenced by talismanic technology--written script imbued with Sapi of a magick-wielder to perform various movements, such as pulling, pulling, moving side to side, and converting--the Karma Engine allowed amazing amounts of energy to be crafted for relatively smaller cost.

More importantly, all it needed was proper maintenance by Monk-Machinists, instead of requiring paid wizards and mystics to create talismans that could fail or short out if the wizard was not good enough. This heralded the industrial age, there was no need for a steam engine with the invention of a nigh infinite source of power through karma.

In Karmalogy, karma is seen as the potential energy of existence and being itself, and many Karmologists posit that the entire current world of Hingsajagra exists because of the Karma of the past world.

When sentient beings are sacrificed to the Karma Engine, this is seen as a painful but purificatory ritual, and is deemed ethical by many world faiths as the being that dies from the Karma Engine's samadhi fires is almost always reborn as a human due to the neutralizing of their karma. Many who have surplus good karma do not go through this, and so the majority of criminals and harmful animals are given to the Karma Engine.

Infrakarmalogists, however, put forth that there are abundant amounts of ambient karma that arises from the world itself, surplus karma that emanates from the deeds of the past world, and this can be used to power karma engines without voluntary suicide.

Magnetitologists have been creating Magnetite Engines, which seek to replace Karma Engines. Magnetite is widely believed to be the infrasubstance, the aggregates of atoms. A level above the smallest quantum, where the material dissolves from perception.

Magnetite arises from places of intense emotion and thoughts, and so it can be mined from worship, war, joy, and other such sites of powerful explosive emotion. Currently magnetite is being used in socialist Hokou and in Selorong. The bourgeoisie that own Karma Engines (many of them non-religious themselves) have become ardent anti-magnetitians, and have begun slander campaigns against them.

Karma Engines have been made quickly efficient. Demons and Ghosts are commonly used as fuel--demons are beings of pure karma that are not destined to be reborn, and ghosts are beings that need light karma to have a better reincarnation.

The Exorcist Industry, though extremely dangerous and highly professional like mercenarism, has become extremely lucrative because of this fact, wherein spirit-binding and spirit-capturing have become in high demand.

Other popular forms of energy are weapon spirits, armor spirits, heirloom spirits, treasure spirits, and the like who wish to tangibly support a family or a bloodline by providing free power for them until their Karma burns off. This tends to last for centuries, as gods and spirits have copious amounts of positive karma owing to them being of the two Higher Paths. Gods are used sometimes to power entire cities.

Commonly now are used Mini Karma Engines. These are small generators that can be used to power a house, as long as proper rituals are performed to maintain them and proper karma items are fed to it. Those that do have Karma Engines out in the countryside and probinsyas tend to also have some form of knowledge in Karmamakinas, or have a Monk Machinist living amongst their midst. In the present year of 11,664, monasteries almost always have a group of Monk Machinists at the ready to be able to provide free support for a village, town, or city’s Karma Engine.

Introduction & Contents

Very many books and websites about Wicca put a lot of emphasis on spells and other practical applications, on the Witchcraft aspects. While those components are valid and important, sometimes that emphasis creates too much of a surface level aesthetic of being a Witch, and the spiritual basis gets overshadowed. This all occurs with the ever-present reminder that Wicca and Witchcraft are not the same thing, while simultaneously removing the distinction by focusing on the Witchcraft, and still labeling it Wicca. 

It is my aim with this project to bring the focus back around to Wicca as a religion of substance, rather than the aesthetic. It’s also meant to be informational, and provide perhaps a middle-of-the-road perspective on Wicca; I don’t believe one must be Initiated into any Tradition to be considered and accepted as a Wiccan, but I do believe there are things that are and are not part of Wicca, just like any other religion. That being said though, my focus is on what is, rather than what isn’t; I’m not interested in throwing shade at anyone else for their practices, choices, or preferences.

I am an Initiated Wiccan (2nd Degree Gardnerian), and an hereditary Witch. I was taught Wicca from a young age (mid-1980s) by my parents, and actively pursued Initiation beginning at about 16 (I’m now over 40). As such, honestly, I haven’t read extensively on Wicca, as I already had what I considered to be more than the basics. I do have a few reading recommendations, however, which I will share at the end of this series.

Everything I've written is solely my opinion, coming from my own experiences, thoughts, and interactions. I do not speak for anyone but myself, not even other Wiccans. Additionally, I will be talking about Wicca in general, and not the specific (Oathbound) Tradition I was Initiated into. Anything I seem to be stating as fact should be viewed as generally accepted, though keep in mind that opinions and practices will always vary, depending on who you talk to. Some of this information assumes a general knowledge of Wicca and Paganism more broadly, but if anything seems confusing or unclear, please don't be afraid to ask questions, either in comments or DMs.

The one life advice I can give is to believe that you will get what you’re looking for. You’ll get the the house and the money, the friend, the social dynamic/interactions, the material things etc..

For me, I define belief as ‘a story that you keep telling’.

I make it a daily habit to ask myself, “Do I believe that ?” with the noise that goes on in my head.

And I’m basically asking myself: are you going to continue telling that story? Are you going to continue claiming that reality until it comes true?

If it’s not in front of you and it’s making you feel bad, question if you want to believe it.

9.5 times out of 10 the answer is no.

∘₊✧ 2 : Becoming a Dreamworld Hero ✧₊∘

In this post, I'll be explaining how heroes are chosen by fairies, what happens before you become a hero, and what the first transformation is like (as well as how the magical tools work)!! Keep in mind that this is written based on my own personal experiences with being a Dreamworld Hero, and that if you choose to become one yourself, our experiences can differ from one another!

How You're Chosen ˖˚₊ ✧

There are a few different ways to be chosen by a fairy:

Completely out of nowhere

Because one Hero already told a fairy or two about you

Or because you attempted to contact a fairy yourself

I was chosen out of nowhere, specifically because I was doing a form of energy work in public and Pyxis went "oh yeah, that guy over there". I actually had to learn to strengthen my clairaudience again to communicate with him because I didn't recognize that there was another entity there at first! Make sure that you boost your energetic awareness, especially in public, cause if you find a fairy just hanging out and looking for a hero, the same thing can happen in reverse - you can choose them!

Now, as for the 2nd and 3rd bullet points, things get a little more complicated. Sure a hero can tell a fairy about you, but there could be some issues if the fairy can't find you or communicate with you. Just like when you're trying to get chosen normally, I'd recommend making some sort of rudimentary energetic construct (like a sphere) just so they can pick up on where you are. As for the communication issue, if clairaudience isn't something that you have or feel comfortable with, divination and communication through dreams are the next best thing! But when it comes to contacting a fairy yourself? I'm not too sure about that.. I'm sure there's a way to get to Dreamworld on your own though!

Training Period ˖˚₊ ✧

The "training period" is a period of time after you've been chosen by a fairy. You don't become a hero immediately because you need to learn more about everything, including your familiar! During my training period, I learned how to get to Dreamworld (albeit with an escort), everything I know about nightmares and fairies, how to transform and fight properly, etc. This is where you learn everything you need to know about being a hero, and where you get to truly consider the weight of the decision you're making. Heroes are often chosen by the royals of Dreamworld kingdoms, and the role you're taking up is a knightly one. A promise to defend isn't one to be broken, which is why it's important to think about what you're signing up for!

Transformation ˖˚₊ ✧

Upon ending your training period, you accept your transformation charm! It typically bears the symbol associated with the fairy that gave it to you, as well as your own motifs (like mine having both a crescent moon and a star + wing design)! When you're not using it, it can take the form of any old accessory while you're in Dreamworld (like a hairclip or bracelet), but the kind of weapon it turns into is entirely up to the user! I have a bit of a Cardcaptor Sakura situation going on where my charm turns into a staff after I say a specific incantation, but feel free to get creative!! This is the part where I'd recommend some form of scripting for your charm, outfit, and weapons because well.. I didn't and had to come up with everything on the fly during my first fight since I didn't know the whole thing was a DIY situation.. Good luck!!

A bigot demanded I tell him what's so good about Agatha All Along without mentioning representation and diversity so... Here we go...

1. It has an intriguing plot with a morally grey protagonist who may or may not be on a subtle redemption arc. I'm a sucker for a good redemption story.

2. It features very talented actors including the Tony award winning Broadway icon, Patti LuPone as one of the leads.

3. It features fairly accurate and respectful depictions of many Occult beliefs.

4. "Teen" is a very likable sidekick character and serves as a good moral compass for many of the other characters.

5. It has good music and a catchy recurring song from the composers of Avenue Q and Frozen, including a cover by the main cast in the style of Glam Rock.

6. It's better than WandaVision.

7. It's entertaining.

8. It's one of the only MCU depictions of supernatural magick while allowing it to actually be magick instead of pseudo-science and while also acknowledging an afterlife instead of pandering to the Chinese censors to get a Chinese theatrical release. The Chinese market doesn't allow for "Western depictions of the afterlife." (This includes ghosts. It's why the Disney Haunted Mansion in Hong Kong Disney isn't haunted but instead has enchanted furniture).

9. This was the first time we had ghosts in a Marvel property. Same reason as number 8.

10. It's refreshingly different from other other Marvel releases that have been following and obvious and tired formula for some time now.

11. Kathryn Hahn is a good actress.

12. It has a great, Gothic / spooky ambiance while also being fun. 13. It's the side of Marvel I get starved for because Marvel is too cowardly to have things like this outside of the Halloween season.

14. It has "Found Family" which is one of my favorite TV and movie tropes.

15. It's not all boring action sequences or sex scenes like most TV today. And yes, I find those things boring.

16. I had once said I wanted to see a TV show based on the concept of "Gothic Golden Girls" with witch Golden Girls and this is close enough. 17. I think Agatha, as a character, is well-written.

18. With other shows like Wednesday this has helped restore Goth Culture to the mainstream, enough so that there's a Goth clothing section on Target's website now (and has been for a full year). So I'm loving the influence on Pop culture.

19. This may open the door for more supernatural content from Marvel, I just hope they start allowing it outside of the Halloween season.

20. I'm not really enjoying many other new scripted TV shows right now. Both The Sandman and Wednesday are currently between seasons.
