I'm buying a WiFi extender at BestBuy for work, and while I'm here I stumbled on a media tower. This would solve all those DVD storage issues I have, but this is so old they're having trouble actually selling it to me (I can date it by the cover picture, which shows it stocked with PSP and Wii video games).
It's not in their system, and the UPC code is covered by a bunch of stickers. The box itself is torn in a dozen places.
They eventually made a manual sticker for it and were able to get me the "open box" price.

"That's the Pizza Tower tutorial song." "No, it's a traditional Italian folk song." No, it's literally a 140-year-old meme – "Funiculì, Funiculà" was written in 1880, as a joke, to commemorate the opening of a tourist attraction at Mount Vesuvius. (The tourist attraction was later destroyed by a volcanic eruption.) Go ahead and rewrite the lyrics to be about sticking your dick in a pizza – there is nothing you can do with this song that's more ridiculous than its original context.

So anyway -
The point is that Pizza Tower still has a racist, outdated stereotype of Indigenous people in the Oregano Desert level.
It even has a achievement for rain dancing around a totem pole (totem poles are a Pacific Northwest thing, not a Plains Tribe thing). They war cry at you and they throw tomahawks (because it's always tomahawks or spears).
Bellyache about the screencaps being 5 years old if you want, but the stereotype made it into the game, so he hasn't changed that much. He didn't change enough to have a shred of awareness about using a racist stereotype. And before anyone tries: that trope isn't a hallmark of Wario games or 90s animation, it's a hallmark of racism.
Even if he "doesn't" make bigoted jokes anymore (though I would consider the Tribe Cheese one such joke), he made an entire level based around that trope.
And like every other time there's an anti-Indigenous caricature in videogames or popular media, it doesn't get mentioned, or it gets glossed over because the creator went "Oopsie! That was cringe."
The exclusion of the Tribe Cheese from that salvo of screenshots undermines the entirety of it, because it's a solid example of him not having changed enough to be conscious beyond "that was unfunny," and everyone just focuses on what he said and when - without the connection to how that mindset still lingers in the final product of the game.

Couldn't make a post... Hit another "drawering hard" period. That's okay, though.
Might as well continue with these two, while I relearn. Things. It's not much, but I think at least one doodle once a week might do well for me.
I just think Beppa is neat. I wish there was a reskin mod with her! Her and Peppino are both autistic, but just in different ways. Love that for 'em.
Fun fact, all of these pictures are barely edited, because I took them in-app, and just cropped+greyscaled them. Usually I try to edit stuff in my gallery to up the contrast and whatnot, but this works too, I hope.

So first the bad news in my ongoing attempts to assemble the media tower I bought a few weeks ago. None of the hardware stores around me have cam screws in the appropriate size, and when I tried to just balance it together without locking the different pieces in place it does tip over.
I don't have the precise size measurements for the cam screws that I need, so I also can't just buy them online somewhere.
But now the good news: when I stand up just the base by itself it does provide enough space for all of my TV shows together. No need to scatter them over three different stands.
My movies are still split over multiple bookshelves, but this is an improvement over where I was yesterday.
Let's call this a win.

Things that can happen in this book:
you accidentally do some treason to impress a cool genderqueer spy you may be in love with
you come home to find your family house has been absolutely fucked up by some sort of magic and all your stuff got confiscated by very ominous ‘inquisitors’
you scam rich people into thinking you’re a servant with various gendered disguises. For stealing purposes
you get cursed by a mysterious book that REALLY wants you to find a forbidden Thing and destroy the world, which now seems like a great idea
These are just in the intros of the 4 characters you pick from at the beginning. Once you're inside there are a LOT of different choices, including eg. allowing you to be murdered by your clone, get trapped forever in the source of all magic or befriend a powerful woodlouse.
(Into the tower, out now)
