Hello everyone! This is a sorta project i've been wanting to do for a while! (a year or two actually) The Bizzard is a sort of fanclan, but in all honestly they're more like the Sisters group in wc. This is in no way supposed to be a replacement or copy of what MommyClan used to be (something i used to be in) for all of those who think it is. When MommyClan was around earlier i was actually more confident to start planning something like this out! What is The Blizzard?: Well, in a short summary, The Blizzard is a group of traveling feline that visit the Clans every Leaf-fall to help them hunt, take care of their sick, collect herbs and such till the end of leaf-bare, then they leave and wander around for the rest of the year together as a big group. Kinda like a mixture of hippies and social workers. (My friend @tasteless-tea and myself will be co-running The Blizzzard together)

Can i join The Blizzard?: Anyone can join! The max amount of cats will probably only be two since i have a hard time keeping track of things. Groupies (Explanation: A Groupie is the basic members of The Blizzard as a whole) Stay Homes (Explanation: A Stay Home is a member of The Blizzard that will stay at a makeshift base camp while other members leave to go and help the clans.)

Assisting (Explanation: The opposite of a Stay Home, these are the members that will leave base camp to help the other clans.)

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

I think that if Miles Edgeworth were to ever have a Tumblr blog it would be entirely Steel Samurai based with a carefully organized tagging system. He posts lengthy formally worded analysis about Steel Samurai and nothing else. He doesn't check his notes. He does check his asks, because they're kind of like emails. He has anon asks and dms turned off. Someone sends an ask about his interests outside of Steel Samurai and he immediately blocks them. He doesn't have pronouns or a name to be called by in his bio. The only hint about Edgeworth's personal life is that when he refers to the death of Jack Hammer or the conviction of Matt Engarde he only refers to Phoenix as "that man".

Maya definitely has a tumblr and it has a canon Pink Princess url. She actually hoarded a bunch of Pink Princess urls long before the character was officially announced because she knew she needed to have them. I just watched "Looking for Par'Mach in All the Wrong Places" (S05 E03), and something that really appeals to me about the Keiko/Miles/Kira ship is that Keiko and Miles are very much part of a family in a way that Kira's never had. Kira grew up in a refugee camp, believed her mother died when she was 3, joined the resistance when she was 12--effectively, due to the occupation, she never got to have a childhood like, say, Molly has.

While Miles has plenty of war memories of his own, and I assume that's at least somewhat affected Keiko, all of that happened when they were adults so they still had that reference of what a good childhood looks like. Miles still views Ireland as a home, and when he goes back there, he is going back to both a family and memories that are good. (I don't think we've explicitly gotten similar information about Keiko, but I'm chalking that up to her generally not being present in the show as much.)

Kira, in contrast, has never had a home in the same way. I doubt she'd go back to the refugee camp to reminisce, and she was constantly moving during her time with the resistance. When DS9 starts, Bajor has been free for less than a year, and Kira's living on a space station designed by Cardassians, serving under a Federation officer. She is proud of Bajor as her home, but she doesn't have a home on Bajor.

Furthermore, much of her relationship to Bajor itself is either based in the past ("Bajor used to have freedom/sophisticated technology/important artistic achievements/etc") or the future ("what does a healed Bajor look like; should it join the Federation; what will be its role in trade"). This is also reflected in the romantic relationships she's had so far. Vedek Bariel represented the ancient religious traditions (albeit in a more progressive way). Shakaar represents the forward march of the government, especially with how his political career would go against his caste pre-occupation, which is touched upon in S04E17 "Accession."

All in all, Kira's view on her life is rarely ever in the present, which is a fantastic contrast to the O'Briens. They have a daughter who is young enough that every few months she has a new development; they regularly make a point to be romantically (and sexually) close to one another; while Keiko is far from thrilled about their location, they intentionally make it work where they are. Their jobs also contribute to this. We mostly see the DS9 crew resolving crises, but dialogue implies that a lot of Miles' time is actually spent repairing small issues when they pop up, and Keiko goes on a whole expedition to study flora, which is governed by the seasons.

Kira carrying their baby entangles her in that same mindset. Her being pregnant demands that she pay attention to where she is then and there--she's always physically reminded of her condition, which keeps her locked in a fairly narrow timeframe. Plus, her moving in with the O'Briens means that she must get used to their daily rhythms. Kira's self-proclaimed lack of imagination impacts this as well. I love it as a character trait, but it raises the question of why she's that way.

My theory is that some of it is innate, but it was exacerbated by the trauma she experienced as a child. Childhood is often characterized as a time of great imagination and creative exploration, and Kira just... never had that. I can't find the precise quote, but when she is asked (I believe by Sisko?) if she ever had any daydreams, she responds that she'd dream that the Cardassians would leave Bajor and let the Bajorans live. Her attitude towards the Holoprograms lines up with this as well; she sees little point in doing something that isn't actually happening. For her to find value in something, it must be real--it must be useful. She used her one fantasy to turn herself into a soldier. And, pragmatically speaking, there is very little that is useful about romance, or candlelit dinners, or banter that leads to innuendos. So what happens when she's confronted with them?

fuck it. I’m analyzing Dr Ratio’s eidolons.

I interpret eidolons as different facets of a persons character, tying back into their journey in life. (Also this shit loooong so I’m putting it under cut)

1. Pride Comes Before a Fall: this phrase originates from the Bible (proverbs 16:18), which talk of how the sin of pride will eventually lead to destruction, and telling one to practice humility*. To me, this phrase refers possibly to Ratio’s desire to be noticed by Nous. His pride originating from his previous achievements, lauded and touted as a prodigy from a young age (this is, of course, speculation because MIHOYO WONT GIVE ME RATIO LOOREEE). Through this pride, we can obviously see what happens next: he is never noticed by Nous, this is his fall. Either in the eyes of others, or himself (as it is never outright stated that Ratio sought the gaze of Nous, but I subscribe heavily to this line of thinking, due to his voiceline when you max level him: “If this day I have not gained the recognition of Nous, it stands to reason I never will at any point in the future”).

2. The Divine is In the Details: This is an idiom, although it’s more commonly said as “God is in the details”. This phrase is meant to emphasize the importance of the smaller, overlooked details which make up the whole. This is used most often in art and architecture, but can be applied to many other things. I connect this to Ratio’s meticulous nature as a scholar and researcher, but I also draw lines to his 1st eidolon. After Ratio is rejected by the higher powers, he turns instead to the “insignificant” common people, realizing their importance— we know that Ratio values all life, even one’s “marked by failure”, which others may overlook. Real divinity is not the God, but rather the beauty of humanity’s falls and successes.

3. Know Thyself: This was a proverb written upon the temple of Apollo, in Delphi, Ancient Greece. This has many meanings, from knowing your limits (either as one’s place in the universe, or your own mortality), to the broader interpretation by Plato as knowing your soul, and a a common theme of through studying the self could one know the universe. All of these relate heavily to Ratio, considering his tenets of self-improvement. He also references in his line when he finds an enemy target, “You learn to know yourself before your enemy.” (Which is ALSO a quote from Sun Tzu’s The Art of War.) I think this one is pretty self explanatory as a continuation to the previous Eidolons, after his rejection, he seeks to reevaluate (relearn) himself and his stance in life.

4. Ignorance Is Blight: This represents Ratio’s goal to eradicate ignorance and stupidity across the universe, but it is also a inverse on the popular idiom “ignorance is bliss”. This idiom is basically everything Ratio stands against, he will know and say the truth unfiltered, even if it is uncomfortable. I also see this as Ratio finally discovering his calling as a teacher.

5. Sic Itur Ad Astra*: Written in the Aeneid, meaning “thus one journeys to the stars”. It has merged over time with another phrase in the Aeneid, “opta ardua pennis astra sequi” (meaning: desire to pursue the difficult-to-reach stars) becoming the common encouragement, “Reach for the stars.” We know Ratio never settles for doing anything in halves, and as a teacher, he constantly pushes others and himself to reach for high goals. Although his methods can be harsh, it is ultimately through strife (“— it is only in moments on solitude and despair, when help is absent, that fools grasp how to pick themselves up.”), that he seeks to unlock the potential of every person. This is most obviously seen in the Trailblazer Continuance quest: Crown of Mundane and Divine where he leverages the situation to try and topple the blind worship of the Genius Society on the space station.

6. Vincit Omnia Veritas: Meaning: Truth conquers all things. Surface level, this one is pretty straightforward too, Ratio values truth highly, and to him, it is the antithesis to ignorance, and therefore knowledge. As his Ultimate voiceline goes, he says, “Knowledge is the measure of all things. It reveals truth, and falsehood.” What I want to focus on however, is his pose in the eidolon. It is the exact same pose as Michelangelo’s David statue. This depiction is of David before his famous battle with Goliath. In this eidolon, Ratio is the figure David, who was also known as a symbol of the protection of civil liberties. And in by interpretation, Goliath is the stupidity he wants to eradicate. Just as truth conquers all things, Veritas will conquer all ignorance.

*— I also think this is why he consistently downplays himself and avoids the spotlight (calling himself a supporting character).

*— fun fact, this phrase is also used as the motto of Cambridge University, very fitting.

Nightwing: Everytime you speak I imagine myself dunking your head under the water until the bubbles stop.

Batman (holding his son back): I'm just going to restrain you.

Robin!Damian: I kind of like him.

Nightwing: Peacemaker, walk away or I’m putting my foot up your ass.

Peacemaker: Oh, la-dee-dah, you love acting cool with Batman around. You could barely hold your own in a fight with a true blooded American. Batman, while I don't respect your whole let criminals live I respect the drip.

Batman: Oh... thank you.

Peacemaker: Take care, little Robin and Batman. Here’s a flag for you, kid. Remember you don't have to agree with your goverment to be a good American, you just have to believe in your country.

Peacemaker handed Robin a tiny American flag, catching the young hero off guard.

Robin (taking the flag): That was beautiful.

Nightwing: That’s a line from a Harold and Kumar movie!

Peacemaker: And it’s a damn good line. Don’t be upset I can be a better American than you. Also, the unitard? You're getting a bit chubby. Maybe consider switching it up.

Robin (snickering): You’re funny. Peacemaker, if you ever need our assistance, you know where to find us. I’ll let you walk away unscathed, for now.

Peacemaker nodded politely and walked away, while Batman had to restrain Nightwing from reaching for the strange hero’s helmet and poking him in the eyes.

Nightwing: Let me— let me hit him! I hate him!

Batman: He’s not worth it. If we punched every asshole, we’d be in prison.

Robin (waving the flag): That’s good advice, Father. Even if it’s somewhat ironic coming from you.

Batman: Thank you, Robin. You actually liked that odd man?

Robin: Yeah. He’s weird and annoying, but sometimes, he’s admirable in his own way.
