I'm not even exaggerating when i say that Charlie is the best OCD representation I've ever seen

I've had obsessive compulsive disorder for almost 10 years now and when i first read the heartstopper comics and i got to volume 4 (and also solitaire) i was really confused because i didn't know how OCD worked until then, it made me feel like i was seen and i realized it was because it's the first correct OCD representation I've ever seen

seeing a character with the same disorder as me and whose writing about the disorder isn't based in stereotypes or very incorrect things was one of the best things for my mental health, it allowed me to finally seek professional help because i realized i had an actual problem and i got diagnosed a couple of months ago

I will always be grateful for having Charlie as such an amazing representation <3

So I have some news...

We are making a feature film to conclude the Heartstopper screen adaptation, based on Heartstopper Volume 6 and the ‘Nick and Charlie’ novella. We are getting to tell the end of the story!!! I’m deeply relieved and so excited about this new creative venture. I’ve written the script and we’re hard at work already. I know you’ll have a lot of questions, and I’ll be able to talk about it more very soon, but for now let’s CELEBRATE! Heartstopper is getting its ending!!!!!! 🍂

JUST FINISHED WATCHING SEASON 3 OF HEARTSTOPPER AND I AM SO NORMAL

I love heartstopper so much and I love how much it’s taught me. GAH. This season made me cheer and stim with joy, cry, think, and just overall feel so many emotions

I already knew what was going to happen because of the comics but it still hit me so hard and I connected so much with some of the things Nick, Imogen, and Charlie said about their insecurities and feelings. Heartstopper has also helped me to understand how I feel and how to take better care of myself.

Thank you so much to @aliceoseman for such an incredible story, I fell in love with the comics in 2020 and I have been obsessed ever since. I’ve gotten into all of their books and I have them all on my shelf because they’re so incredibly important to me.

Anyway im feeling very sappy and emotional now and i am just so grateful to be in a timeline where the osemanverse exists
