I want to add something I read somewhere (can’t remember where):
Try treating labels less like stickers and more like magnets. Stickers are hard to get off, putting one somewhere feels rather permanent. But a magnet can easily be taken off again. As well as easily being put on again.
Labels are there for you. You can try them out and later figure out that they don’t fit you (anymore). Sometimes labels change over time, sometimes none quite fit.
It’s the same for pronouns in my opinion. I first used she/they, then they/he. Heard about it/its and absolutely didn’t like it. Added specific neopronouns. Got rid of the he. Started enjoying it/its after all. I’m now at neutral pronouns in general, mainly it/they but also chill with neos. And he/him is only okay in situations with people that I don’t know to be safe for nonbinary people. (And in my primary language since there are no neutral pronouns except for it/its and neos)
I also “hoard” labels. I don’t use may actively as it’s not that important for me currently, but they still belong to me. I think I own 7 different pride flags (okay, 2 are the rainbow and the progress pride flag) and they don’t even represent the different nonbinary genders I figured out within my genderfluidity.
My best advice I can offer to anyone questioning their gender (or sexuality or romantic orientation); choose whatever label fits best or don’t choose one at all. You don’t have to define it if it’s too confusing or complex.
I saw a post somewhere and forgive me because I can’t quote it word for word because I forgot so I’ll paraphrase, but it basically said that labels won’t always be 100% accurate and it’s okay to choose ones that explain your experience only 25%/100, or 75%/100, it all just depends on you. And I think that’s the best advice I could’ve heard because I was questioning my sexuality and romantic orientation once again during the time I read it. The weight was lifted when I found a label that works but doesn’t describe my experience completely, it’s as close as I’ll get, and I reminded myself that that’s okay.
Sometimes labels make us feel better and it’s valid to want to have one, but remember that they don’t always have to explain what you’re feeling completely. But labels are also only tools, so if you don’t need them or can’t find one that works then don’t use them. Or just create your own if you want to be creative.
yeah!!! im gonna pin this because it sums up the exact bit of advice i always struggle to get across and it needs to be said more often.

Transphobe: Pronouns are useless, blah blah blah.
Me: Of course they are! Mother fucker! I speak Persian!
We only have one pronoun, “او,” which you can pronounce like the “oo” in “moon.” That means I use “they/them” for your transphobic ass all the time!
Additionally, we can use “این,” pronounce like the "in" In Berlin. which means “it,” if you are nearby.
We can even omit the pronoun completely. For example, we can say “رفت,” which means someone left, and as you can see, it’s just one word.
We can write poems, and no one knows the gender of our lovers. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s pretty neat.

@ everyone who posts under #transandrophobia: i love you. i love you i love you i love you. i'm always so scared about acting masculine because i'm surrounded by people who've made me feel like masculinity is this awful, horrible thing that automatically means you're a problem and you're going to hurt someone and all masculinity is bad. i'm sitting here crying at 1 in the morning because i love you all and i can't thank you all enough for speaking up about this in a way that younger transmascs/trans guys like me can't. thank you thank you thank you

Hi :) I'm a queer researcher doing some queer research for my dissertation and would be so grateful if some of y'all could help me out by taking part
It's a short questionnaire asking you to rate different aspects of your memories before and after coming out (as trans) as well as questions about gender dysphoria (dw if you don't experience gender dysphoria around being trans, your participation is still useful :)
for more info have a look at the poster below and/or my pinned post :3
thank you so much if ya take part!!
link to survey

(sorry to keep posting about this, finding participants is hard)

Requisexual - An ace-spec identity where one experiences little to no sexual attraction or interest in sexual activity due to some form of emotional exhaustion. This can be for multiple different reasons, and some of those include: previous experiences in sex or something related to sex that was emotionally exhausting. Pride events (and also the whole plot) in Queer movies are like:
No pets
No POC
No trans
No Bi
No Ace
No Polyamorus
No children
No straight looking guy
No Ally
No Enby
Only Cis Lesbian and Gays
Are you telling me those gays can’t have a fucking friend who is queer in another way?!
And also, most trans people are lesbians and gays.
We need the entire community represented in movies.

More Than Ten Years on Testosterone - Is It Safe??

Have you ever worried about the possible long-term effects of being on Testosterone?
Well, you can relax because science has your back.
Italian researchers concluded in 2014 that “Testosterone administration in FtM subjects has a good safety profile” after finding “no significant serious adverse effects and no clinically relevant changes” in 45 FTM patients treated for at least 10 years with T.
Also notable: “Liver and kidney function tests did not show any significant changes.”
The aim of the study was to assess the effects and safety of Testosterone administration on body weight, lipid profile, hematological and bone parameters in trans men.
