GlucoTrust is a new supplement manufactured in the USA that contains a formula of all-natural ingredients. These ingredients work together to promote healthy blood sugar levels, safe and effective weight loss, and better sleep.
Startling Statistics
According to the American Diabetes Association, 34.2 million Americans, or 10.5% of the population, have Type 2 diabetes.
Globally, 462 million individuals are affected by Type 2 diabetes. And these shocking numbers show no signs of slowing down!
Diabetes treatment has exploded into a gigantic industry that grows every year, as more people require medication (and many never get off it.)
In the USA alone, $327 billion every year by men and women people trying to manage this condition.
What Is Type 2 Diabetes?
Here’s the quick scientific explanation behind Type 2 diabetes.
Blood sugar, or glucose, is the main sugar found in your blood. It comes from the food you eat and it is your body’s main source of energy.
Your blood carries glucose to your body’s cells, where it gets converted into energy.
Diabetes is a disease in which your blood sugar levels are too high. This happens because of two problems that involve a hormone in your body called insulin.
First, your body isn’t producing enough insulin. This is harmful because insulin regulates the movement of blood sugar into your cells.
Second, your cells are responding poorly to insulin and are not absorbing sugar the way they should. This is also known as “insulin resistance.”
As a result of these two things, too much sugar is circulating in your bloodstream. Over time, it builds up and your blood sugar levels become too high.
Once your levels rise beyond a certain threshold (which can be shown by a blood test), you are classified as having Type 2 diabetes.
Some symptoms of Type 2 diabetes include:
Increased thirst
Frequent urination
Increased hunger
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing sores
Frequent infections
Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet
Type 2 diabetes is often linked to being overweight or inactive. But for diabetics, losing weight can be extra challenging. You feel hungry and fatigued, so you want to eat more and exercise less.
For many people, the only answer is to get on prescription medications that help to keep blood sugar levels under control. But this is only treating the symptoms of the disease, not fixing the root problem.
GlucoTrust contains a combination of ingredients that support healthy blood sugar levels, while also addressing the problems that are keeping people overweight and inactive.
We refer to it as being stuck in a “vicious cycle.” Being overweight and inactive is the primary cause of Type 2 diabetes. But when you have this disease, it makes it hard to lose weight because it causes you to feel hungry, thirsty and tired.

‼️ EMERGENCY FUND: I need Help With Medical Bills And Equipment‼️
Howdy Y'all, please share my story with me at least a little, I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I was diagnosed in February 2019 after being very sick and I weighed 88 lbs. For the last two and a half years I have had to inject insulin 4+ times for day every day, to stay within my blood glucose level.
In December 2020 I was hospitalized and had to have emergency surgery where I had to stay at home for the entire period of my illness without working, and I also had DKA aka Diabetic ketoacidosis is a serious complication of diabetes that occurs when your body produces high levels of blood acids called ketones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diabetic ketoacidosis develops when your body cannot produce enough insulin. Insulin normally plays an important role in helping sugar (glucose), the main source of energy for your muscles and other tissues, enter your cells. Without enough insulin, your body begins to break down fat as an alternative fuel. This process produces a buildup of toxic acids in the bloodstream called ketones, eventually leading to diabetic ketoacidosis if left untreated.
Three months later in March 2021 I finally got to see an endocrinologist, who specializes in Type 1 Diabetes. Who told me that an insulin pump would be a good device for me?
Tumblr media
I was recently approved for an insulin pump that will help me better control my diabetes. Although I am happy that I am approved the hardest part is coming up with the funds to pay for the pump and equipment.
📎Support and donate here
👉 GOAL: $5/$340
A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated even if you can't donate but if you share the story against friends It will help. Thanks to anyone and everyone who is willing to help.

I've been trying to figure out what the deal is with prediabetes so I can write a meaningful response to an ask I got about it, and I just keep going wait--okay--here's one paper--but here's another one--here's a Cochrane review--but here's a different meta-analysis--and here's newer data from an RCT...
It's nuts! It's bananas. And anybody who says we have good, crisp, clear guidelines around what prediabetes even IS, much less what to do about it, is FULL OF SHIT.
What I really need to know in order to feel more confident about my handle on whether to medicate pre-diabetes is the population incidence. Not prevalence. Because if I take the most optimistic studies about medication as an intervention, specifically, I could be looking at about a 30-40% reduction in risk of progression to diabetes. But! How many people is that, actually? Because medication is not without its harms! We need to compare number needed to treat with number needed to harm, we need to have high-quality evidence that says yes, if we give this medication to everyone who meets X level of criteria for pre-diabetes (it's different in different sources AND it's changed repeatedly over our lifetime!), we will see a level of benefit sufficient to justify making these other people who would not have progressed to diabetes without it endure the hassle and side effects of taking a medication for the rest of their lives.
AND HERE'S THE REAL FUN PART: we don't really know where tissue damage begins! We thought we did! 6.5-7ish A1c. But it turns out there is a marked risk of retinopathy beginning at 5.5! Which is considered normal. AND ALSO we should probably be thinking of it as at least three separate disease based on our current ability to measure--A1c is a broad marker that collapses multiple forms of dysregulated blood sugar, and when we use more fine-grained tests, we see meaningful distinctions that probably affect preferred treatments between people who have impaired fasting glucose, people who have abnormal values on an oral glucose tolerance test, and people who have both. We should treat these groups differently because they reflect different underlying pathways: elevated fasting glucose means your liver is breaking down too much glycogen while you sleep, which is one issue, while elevated post-prandial glucose means your skeletal muscles (OR SOMETHING ELSE they're not totally sure) are behaving abnormally in response to insulin. IT'S NOT THE SAME THING and people with both impaired fasting glucose and abnormal post-prandial glucose are at higher risk of progression to diabetes/tissue damage than people with just one of those. AND WHILE WE'RE AT IT, what is diabetes? What's the best cutoff? What's the best measure? How many underlying pathophysiologies are getting collapsed into the same group????
THE MORE I LEARN ABOUT THIS THE MORE QUESTIONS I HAVE and experts are all being serenely confident while contradicting each other so I have to actually dig in the data a lot harder than I usually do. I've been meaning to do this for months, but one of the presenters this morning made a comment about the benefits of putting prediabetics on metformin that made me go "hm, do I need to start doing that?" and I've gone from my kneejerk answer being "no, we studied this and it doesn't help" to "I don't fucking know and neither does anyone else."
...as always, Cochrane is probably right.

Red. Red was the color of some of the cardigans in Spencer's closet. Red was the color of his favorite coffee mug in his kitchen. Red was the shade of lipstick he loved on his coworker (and the woman he had been pining over for the last 10 years) the most. Red also happened to be the color his face turned when he was faced with something he had experienced for the first time only weeks prior; jealousy. The team was in Buffalo, New York for a case. Typical serial abductor, nothing the team hadn't seen before. The case had wrapped up in a pretty decent amount of time - the Unsub being caught within a week, which the team felt relief when that happened. Not only could they get home as quick as they could, but it was a huge relief knowing that the horrible person who committed these crimes was locked up and people felt safe because of them.
Y/N was helping Emily pack up some of the case files and other things necessary for them to take back to Quantico for their evidence lockup. A door opened, Spencer walking through with two cups of coffee and a hot tea. "One coffee with light sugar, extra creamer, and one green tea with honey." Spencer gave the cups to the respective people.
Y/N took the tea eagerly, looking up at the man. "You, Spencer Reid, are a lifesaver. The New York air nipped at their skin, so the three who were left to pack up everything at the police station had the brilliant idea of getting hot drinks to warm themselves. "O-Of course, I know it's your favorite." Spencer awkwardly shoved his hands in his pockets as he looked at her, not missing the smirk and knowing glance that one Emily Prentiss gave to the both of them.
"Did you know that green tea is not only good for boosting your energy level, but is also helpful in controlling blood sugar levels by enhancing insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism?"
Y/N looked at Spencer as she took another sip. "Huh. Interesting. Is there anything you don't know, Genius?" She looked at him with a playful smirk, putting a manila folder into the cardboard box.
The door opened again and the three of them looked up. It was one of the local officers there in Buffalo. "So, I was thinking.." The man had walked over to Y/N, starting a conversation. Spencer stared at them as he held one of the folders, his knuckles turning white at how hard he gripped the folder.
He couldn't hear anything the guy was saying, but that didn't matter to him. What mattered to Spencer is what he could hear. Y/N's laugh as her head was thrown back, looking as if she was giggling up to the ceiling.
What could possibly be so funny?
Spencer definitely didn't miss the not-so-subtle pass of a piece of paper from the officer to Y/N. His best guess? His phone number. The only real question Spencer had; Would she even reach out to him or did she just take his number to let him down easy?
"Hotch just texted. Wheels up in 20."
Spencer had never been happier to know Emily than he felt in that moment. He was even thankful for Hotch that because of them having to board the jet so soon, Y/N snapped out of conversation and helped him and Emily finish packing the stuff to take back to the FBI building.
Once they boarded the jet, Y/N sat on the sofa that was normally Reid's spot, but everyone knew that when it came to her, he didn't care if she took it. Anyone else? Tough luck. Soft giggles and whispers took him out of the trance he was in when reading. Again, what could possibly be so funny?
Y/N stared intently at her phone, and Spencer couldn't help but notice the small blush that painted her face, where there usually was nothing.
"Kyle and Y/N sitting in a tree..."
JJ began to sing as she sat down next to Emily and across from Spencer and Morgan. "Sorry?" Spencer looked confused, but the other two just laughed at the blonde. "You didn't hear? That officer back in New York asked Y/N out. He's driving to Quantico this weekend and taking her to dinner, I think."
Spencer's fists turned white again as he gripped the book he was reading. "You alright there, genius?" Emily raised an eyebrow looking at Reid who just nodded. "Just fine." He spoke bluntly.
Before they knew it, Friday had rolled around and Y/N was getting ready for her dinner with Kyle when her phone buzzed. The text read:
From: Penelope Garcia
Hotch needs everyone back for final paperwork. Sorry, dollface.
Y/N sighed, sending her date a quick text as she walked to her car, making her way back to where she was just days ago. When she walked in the door, Penelope was quick to wrap her in a hug. "I'm so sorry about your date.." Spencer heard what the two women were talking about and couldn't help but smile.
His smile quickly disappeared seeing the familiar man walk in moments later, a bouquet of flowers in his hand. Spencer watched as Y/N gasped, walking over to him and taking the flowers, hearing her give thanks to the man.
Spencer could feel his face heating up. He made a confused face mostly to himself. He didn't know what he was feeling but he didn't like it. The slow but building anger, the heat in his face, his fists instinctually curling into balls, and his eyebrows furrowing.
Before he could stop himself, he got up and walked to the pair. "Nice flowers." Spencer started to speak, the anger evident in his voice. "But, her favorite are daisies. I mean, do you even know her?" Spencer scoffed. Y/N looked up at him with a mix of confusion and shock in her eyes.
"Rei-"
Spencer held his hand up to Derek who tried to stop him from talking. "I mean, really. You meet her for maybe all of five minutes and decide she's the one you want and you don't know a single thing about her?" Spencer paused to take a breath and continue.
"Do you even know what her favorite color is, or her favorite song to listen to when she's sad, or her favorite movies depending on the mood she's in, or-or-"
"Reid." The stern voice of Hotch speaking would usually quiet Spencer down, but everyone could see how escalated his emotions were when not even Aaron Hotchner's voice could quiet him.
"Listen, if you want to ask out someone in the BAU, fine. Go right ahead, but not her. Okay? Anyone but her. I've been in love with her for years now, and this... I can't see this working out because you don't know her like I do."
Y/N couldn't help but giggle making Spencer turn to her quick. "Spencer..." She began. "This is Kyle. My best friend from high school. We haven't talked to each other in years, and so when he saw me in New York he gave me his number so we could catch up."
Spencer felt a mix of emotions was through him. Relief, embarrassment, and an emotion he could only describe as "How stupid could I be?". "But, JJ said-" Emily cut him off. "We knew Y/N couldn't hear us so we made a bet to see how fast it would take you to get jealous."
Spencer felt as if he had just seen a ghost for the first time. "I'm so sorry." He apologized profusely. Kyle shrugged it off, saying he understood the confusion. "And, listen, I got her these flowers because as far as I knew, they were her favorite." Kyle said, laughing softly.
Spencer looked towards Y/N who just stood there, staring at him and smiling. "I like daisies a lot. I, especially started liking them when you started to give them to me. They became my favorite because they were the first flowers you ever gave to me, Spencer." Spencer stood there in shock.
What?
"Oh, and for the record. Two things." Rhyan looked at him. "One, I like you too. Always have." Spencer looked at the girl in adoration.
"Two, jealousy is a really nice shade of red on you, Spence."
Red. Red was the color of some of the cardigans in Spencer's closet. Red was the color of his favorite coffee mug in his kitchen. Red was the shade of lipstick he loved on his coworker (and the woman he had been pining over for the last 10 years) the most. Red also happened to be the color his face turned when he was faced with jealousy.
But, more importantly, red just so happened to be the color of the dress Y/N was wearing when she reciprocated Spencer's feelings; their color.

really think the vast amount of evidence we have for common herpes viruses causing a shitload of population morbidity is under investigated and definitely under treated.
to clarify, herpes is a big class of viruses that includes HSV1 (usually cold sores on your mouth), HSV2 (usually sores on your genitals), and herpes zoster (chicken pox!). HSV1 and 2 can infect any tissue and can be spread through casual contact, not just sexual contact. the majority of the human population will contract one or both if they live long enough. many people get HSV1 or 2 at birth or through postnatal contact with parents, family, or visiting adults. just holding or kissing a baby is enough contact to transmit herpes viruses.
so what happens is almost everyone gets these viruses and most people deal with it without catastrophic problems, but the evidence is building up that it may be responsible for a lot of illness that wasn't previously suspected. for example:
Report of a Case A woman aged 33 years presented with a 4-day history of intractable headache, photophobia, nausea, and neck and back discomfort. She had 3 previous hospital admissions for a similar disorder, the first and most severe of which occurred concomitantly with her initial outbreak of genital herpes. Results of her examination were remarkable for a low-grade fever and stiff neck. A contrast-enhanced MRI of the brain yielded normal findings. Results of CSF analysis showed a white blood cell count of 56/μL (90% lymphocytes), a protein level of 66 mg/dL, and a glucose level of 54 mg/dL. Results of PCR were positive for HSV-2. Her symptoms resolved shortly after treatment with intravenous acyclovir, and no further episodes were observed during a suppressive regimen of daily acyclovir in the ensuing 3 years.
that's just a bad migraine. i know dozens of people who have gone to the ER with identical symptoms and were given rescue meds and sent home. the only reason they found anything weird here is the spinal tap and PCR which is not standard procedure for a migraine admission. so who knows how many other chronic migraine sufferers actually have mild encephalitis or meningitis from an HSV infection.

Scientists have repurposed human stomach cells into tissues that release insulin in response to rising blood sugar levels in a breakthrough that promises an effective way to manage conditions such as type 1 diabetes.
The experiment, led by researchers from Weill Cornell Medicine in the US, revealed transplants of gastric insulin-secreting (GINS) cells reversed diabetes in mice.
Pancreatic beta cells normally do the job of releasing the hormone insulin in response to elevated sugar levels in the blood. In people with diabetes, these tissues are damaged or die off, compromising their ability to move glucose into cells for fuel.
While GINS cells aren't beta cells, they can mimic their function. The gut has plenty of stem cells, which can transform into many other cell types, and they proliferate quickly. The hope is that those with diabetes could have their own gut stem cells transformed into GINS cells, limiting the risk of rejection.

Outside The Office Chapter Twenty Five
TW: Reader faces consequences of her self injurious actions.
I tiptoed over the metal pathway that guided people over Vox’s massive shark tanks. Part of me knew it was fully  enclosed and totally safe. But the other part of me still feared falling in- the ending for that wouldn’t be pretty. Around me, screens lined the walls leading to his primary office. I stepped into the circular room.Only one chair sat smack in the middle- his.
“Welcome, welcome, reader,” Vox said as he turned his chair around. He clasped his hands together. “So glad you could make it.”
That unsettled feeling rushed through my gut. Vox knew, he had to. Otherwise what was this?
“I have something interesting to show you.” Vox said calmly as he stood up. “Com’here. Take a seat.”
I took a step back and he shook his head. I heard the metal of the door slide shut behind me.
Fuck.
“I mean, you could try to back out ,kid, but then I would have to go straight to Lucifer and Valentino and honestly, what would that get you?” Vox continued in a rather unbothered voice.
He had a point. Hesitantly, I took the proffered seat, half expecting to be strapped down like a horror movie. That didn’t happen, thankfully. Vox hit a button and all the screens but the biggest went black. Data flashed in front of me. Pulse rate. Respiration rate. Blood oxygen Level.  Blood pressure. EKG chart. Temperature. Blood glucose level. Hydration level. Weight. A mix of numbers.
“See, what’s interesting about these numbers,” Vox said as his hands pressed heavily against my shoulder. “Is that they’re drastically different from just a few days ago.”
Another screen popped up. Higher numbers in some areas. Lower in the other.
I swallowed as I looked at the vital signs on the two screens. I decided at that moment that playing dumb was my best option.
“So? What am I looking at?” I asked. Even to me, my voice sounded shaky.
Vox had the nerve to chuckle. “Oh, princess, you know exactly what you’re looking at. But if we’re going to play that game, I have another video to show you. Several actually.”
Double fuck.
I watched the flash. One showed myself at the gym that morning, knelt over the garbage can. Another showed me tossing away breakfast. Another of me played quickly as I went through that morning’s routine, going to the gym, coming home, showering, Vox and I in the kitchen, talking. Me, scribbling in my notebook the day before, outlining my plan.
“You know what’s even stranger? I specifically asked you if you had eaten lunch and yet…I can’t find you doing so anywhere in the video. So either my technology is faulty, or you lied to me.” He leaned down closer, “And I promise you, my cameras aren't the issue.”
God fucking damn it.
Vox dropped the notebook into my lap. “Open in. Tell me where any why you think this little plan of yours is a good one. Come on, reader, I want to know.”
His voice was dark. Dangerous. Terrifying. This wasn’t my Vox, this was…Vox as an overlord. I swallowed. “Vox, this is the plan verbatim for new recruits, I used to do it to…”
“I know all that.” He waved his hand dismissively. “That data has been in my harddrive for years, that isn’t what I’m asking. I want to know why YOU thought it was a good idea to put YOURSELF through it, knowing that your powers are growing, knowing there is a difference- especially for you- between what you could do in heaven and hell, and probably most importantly, why you KNEW it was so terrible that you felt the need to hide it and yet, still did it anyway.”
I didn’t think I could feel any smaller. “I wanted to be stronger. I just, I knew you guys hate the way angels do things so I thought I just…”
“Would do it anyway?” He rubbed his forehead in frustration. “Kid, we despise how they act because what’s normal to you is incredibly cruel in actuality. You’re honestly lucky I paid attention because if you let this go longer, Valentino’s anger would be the least of your worries. Look how little it took to fuck up your vitals. A few days of stress induced vomiting and here we are.” His voice softened. “The question is now, how are we going to handle this? Because I won’t let you keep doing this to yourself.”
I looked at him in confusion. “Why are you asking me that? Aren't you just going to tell Valentino and Lucifer and let them handle it?”
He shrugged, “I mean, that’s an option you could choose. But I don’t think it needs to go that far, at least, not right now. So I’ll make a deal with you.”
I hesitated. “What kind of deal?”
He squeezed my shoulders. “The kind that doesn’t harm you. I need a few things if this is going to stay between us. I need you to eat. I need those vitals to improve. And I need to never, ever see you push yourself that hard ever again. You can work out in moderation, and eat healthy but you cannot break yourself time and time again. The next time it happens, I won’t be the only one who knows. Understood?”
I nodded in defeat. The crushing feeling of self loathing settled over me like a cloud of darkness. But another part of me, a very, very small part, was glad that I had been seen.
“Oh, and if your vitals don’t improve the deal is off. Lucifer will know and Valentino will know, and I’ll take you down to the hospital myself. And trust me, you won’t like what they do to you there.” His eye swirled for half a second and then he blinked. His tone lightened and he clasped one hand on my shoulder. “Let’s start with lunch, shall we?”
I glanced back at him in both disbelief and fear. “Wait a second. Let me get this straight- you’re keeping this between us? You’re not tattling on me?”
Vox shrugged. “I see no reason to make this a bigger deal than it needs to be. I sincerely don’t think any long term harm will come to you because I caught you so early. You’re not fighting me on it, you acknowledged the issue. You have to trust someone in here, sweetheart. And for whatever reason, you don’t feel yet that you can trust your boyfriend's reaction. So at the very least, trust mine.” He offered his hand and he pulled me to my feet. “Now come on, let’s get you back on the right track. I know a place that has the most amazing salads. And I have one of my employees building an appropriate, data driven workout plan that should get you where you want to be in a much healthier way.”
As I followed him out the door I wondered if this was what it felt like to have an older brother, or maybe a parent who cared enough to notice when things weren't quite right. And even moreso, who cared enough to listen and call me out on my bullshit when I backtracked. Whereas my father would have been thrilled I pushed myself that hard, Vox clearly wasn’t. But instead of the harsh punishments, he offered a compromise. He offered safety, and trust in a drastically different way than Valentino did.
Lunch alone with Vox further proved my point. True to his word, the restaurant he took me to did have the best salads, and after eating a sufficient amount, he walked me back to the apartment. Before he left, he handed me a thin file- the workout plan he promised.
“No one will be angry you’re trying to get stronger. But no one will stand for you to hurt yourself either,” he warned before embracing me in a hug. “It gets better, kid. You don’t have to be that perfect little angel ever again- you can let that go.”
I didn’t know how to respond.
Alone in the apartment, his words echoing in my mind, there  was one lingering thing still bothering me. Valentino. Vox was right, I didn’t feel like I could tell him when this all began. Maybe part of me feared his punishment. No, that wasn’t what I was afraid of. I feared his rejection.
But the Vee’s were close. All it would take was one slip of a video from Vox to Valentino, or one accidental mention and all of this would come spilling out. Would his reaction be worse if he found I kept it from him longer than I already had? I decided I wouldn’t take that chance.
I stepped back into the elevator and hit the button to Valentino’s studio. I needed to do this now, while I had the nerve.

Oh, you did not read the url you were sending this to. You sent this to the type 1 diabetic that pokes around to investigate scams.
^You know, the one behind this?
ANYWAY. You did fuck up big time yessiree, because when I first saw the ask notification your url was loudkingdomprincess. Mmmhmm. Seems to not be that anymore, and I have a good idea why. At the time I last peeked, your profile image was a zoomed in picture of some guy, and it kind of looked edited to remove his hair.

But... that's the name on the paypal you're using. The link you have goes to that name.

... right. You know, I had a hunch it was probably a Kenyan name because you motherfucker(s) have been stealing Kenyan names for months. It's you the whole time, isn't it? Do you want to admit to a real name, possibly one that might start with "L"? Because that's what this behavior points to. You know, with the persistent heartlessness, lack of any sort of conscience, and blatant idiocy.

Hello, I know you haven't posted in a while so I understand if you don't reply to this, but I could definitely use some advice.
I haven't gotten round to getting tested for ADHD, but I have a lot of the symptoms. I really struggle to sit still, I often blurt things out and interrupt people, I can't seem to remember basically anything, I get way too emotional over small things, and more.
The thing is, these symptoms seem to be getting progressively worse. I will hear something and then completely forget what I heard minutes after, forget what I'm talking about mid conversation, haven't gone to sleep on time because I've been pacing in my room and throwing a bouncy ball and eventually scrolling on my phone in bed because I can't get to sleep, I'm late a lot more than usual (I have to go out tomorrow and I'm hoping I'll get up on time, alarms don't work).
But the biggest thing is this: I keep stopping and starting things. I have loads of sideblogs I haven't posted on for days because I started them with huge passion and then either got bored or forgot about them (or both.) I've been thinking about starting a new ask blog, but at the same time I know I won't come back to it.
Do you have any advice for how to manage this?

It sounds like things are cascading, which can be super overwhelming.
I always start with what I call The Big Four: diet, exercise, sleep, and stress. If any one of these is out of whack, everything gets harder. This is true for non-ADHDers as well, but for us it’s more important because of how our brains work.
So, first, think about how you’ve been eating lately. Are you getting enough protein? Brains run on glucose, so carbs are also necessary, but aiming for whole grains and the like is better for long-term functioning. Are you eating *enough*? As in, do you forget to eat meals? Do you snack a lot, and if you do, are you going for quick sugar hits?
Next up is exercise. Regular movement is important. Taking active breaks when you get distracted can help to reset your brain so you can focus again when you come back. Exercise also adds endorphins, which boost your mood and can help increase energy and focus for longer. These effects build up over time, so you won’t see results right away, but if you can make it happen there will be benefits!
As for sleep, you’ve noted that you’re struggling to fall asleep. That’s a really common thing for ADHDers, and we have loads of suggestions here to help. Some of the best ideas I’ve seen include listening to podcasts or watching ASMR videos, white noise machines or a fan, reading a book (not an e-book unless your e-reader doesn’t use blue light), or doing some kind of a puzzle book in bed.
Stress can be really hard to manage, especially if anything else is off since that adds to your stress. The best way to handle this is to have a set time each day where you do something fun and relaxing.
You may find that this doesn’t quite hit the spot. So I have a couple more things to look into.
First, it’s pretty normal for us to run into problems when our responsibilities increase. More responsibility means more load on our executive functions, so things start falling apart a bit as we struggle to find a way to make everything happen. Change is hard!
Second, our age and hormones can have an impact on things. If you menstruate, estrogen levels have a huge impact on functioning. It is a very important part of the brain’s glucose delivery system, so when estrogen is low so is glucose. (There are other ways glucose gets to the brain, estrogen is just the most efficient.)
As for age, when you hit certain ages (early childhood and puberty are best known) your brain makes a ton of new connections, and that can make a lot of things harder that weren’t before. This is because your brain is dedicating itself to other things, and often those “lost” skills return once it’s done with the stage.
So think about all of these things and consider whether one or more might be affecting you. Once you know what’s going on, it will be easier to figure out how to deal with it.
Followers, do you have any ideas for managing these issues? Please share!

geez isp, second fandom you actively participate in and you already made another power system
i really liked the hc’s and explanations for some of the boxers’ more inhuman feats. while it could be boiled down to cartoon logic, the brain tinglies really got me goin on the ideas train and now i have a magic system
Edit: now with a part 2 :D
Punch Out: Worldbuilding and Magic
Every human intrinsically has the ability to manipulate magic, which is a force that can alter reality. People either don’t know how to use it, use it without knowing, or train to be able to harness it. Some have a natural talent or potential for magic while others don’t.
It’s difficult for the boxers to directly affect their opponents with magic during a match. Them being guarded and wary also guards against outside magical influence. For example, Great Tiger’s clones are corporeal and capable of touching physical objects. Although, during a fight, magic from his opponent interferes with his clones and causes them to pass right through. Very focused magic, however, may be able to break through someone’s defenses. It just wouldn’t happen in a boxing match with the need to focus on the physical fight itself.
Below the cut are the specific ways some boxers perform magic and/or some tidbits about them. This isn’t the definitive list of magic users, just the ones I thought of with more interesting ideas.
Glass Joe, with all his fights, subsequent losses, and age, should really have more lasting injuries than he does. It’s his tenacity that made his unconscious use of magic heal his body at a much faster rate than normal. Joe’s not any more resistant to pain or injury, oh no, just that he can fully recover from physical traumas more severe than others can handle.
Piston Hondo uses meditation to simultaneously hone his focus and his magic. His ability to keep up with the Shinkansen on foot is from hyperfocusing on his magic. While in a match, he of course cannot reach that level of speed, but meditating and rigorous training let him get closer and closer to doing so.
Bear Hugger’s ability to understand and communicate with animals originates from magic, but he chalks it up to animal magnetism and just being really empathetic.
Great Tiger has trained all his life in using magic, and as such he has the most versatility and best control over it. He is an example of what an expert magic user is capable of.
Don Flamenco has a naturally poor aptitude for magic, but he uses what he can mainly to make plant life prettier. His use of magic sustains and even lets flowers flourish, brightening their colors, strengthening their smells, making them bloom, etc.
The cut roses he has on hand are real flowers, and despite carrying the same ones around for weeks, they are still alive, healthy, and maintain their strong scent with his magic.
The strength of his magic also heavily depends on his emotional state. Confidence will boost it to the point where he can uppercut a bull into the sky. Shattering this confidence will weaken his magic and he becomes unable to sustain even a single flower.
Aran Ryan doesn’t think he’s any good with magic and sees himself as just particularly lucky. However, he is actually unconsciously using magic to subtly alter reality around him to his favor. He just believes he has the “Luck of the Irish” on his side.
Soda Popinski’s abnormally high magical potential from a young age caught the attention of scientists who began experiments with him to bring out this latent talent.
Ironically, all the treatments and sugar-coated medications Soda’s taken over the years has dampened his ability to perform magic normally.
Instead, that potential starts to come out when his body is processing large amounts of sugar. Soda’s extremely fast metabolism quickly burns away the glucose and gives him magically enhanced vitality and physical abilities.
The experimental serum Soda took in his TD match overclocked his magic use past what his body and mind should handle, and all the bottles he drank made it so he was very much not okay after the match was over. He took several weeks to recover.
He had the potential to become an even stronger magic user than Great Tiger. Soda doesn’t realize this since he never learned how to harness it like Tiger does.
Bald Bull makes an effort to not use magic, as he blames his constant hounding by the press on a potential unconscious use of magic attracting them to him. All his physical feats are completely natural.
In fact, his disdain for using magic is so strong that, when in a rage, his unconscious use of it nullifies other people’s ability to perform magic. As such, matches with Bull are determined purely by technique, skill, and raw physical ability.
If Bull is calmer, then magic use around him only weakens rather than nullifies.
Great Tiger realized this very quickly when he was floating by Bull and then unexpectedly face-planted onto the ground.
