I just read 'a boy named heretic' and it was really great cuz I can see little zandik being obsessed of his favourite researchers. And Imagine after creating his segments, little segments being so obsessed with you that they start their days with reading your researchs or treating your researchs like a religious book maybe even the older segments still do that. they would have memorised everything by now and that would be so funny like little segments make a mistake when they are talking about your researchs and older ones go like 'no no it goes like this and this' I can definitely see that happening.

In the days of old, a young boy named Zandik was infatuated by you.

You were there, in the photos of the Akademiya’s best, A brilliant alumna. Meanwhile, he was still a mere student, looking up at you with eager ruby eyes. The distance between you two, not just in seniority, but in intellect and knowledge looked like an insurmountable ocean for little Zandik.

He read all your published works, theses, or even miscellaneous essays. You were one of the few who dared to explore risque topics, often researching the fallen technology of your homeland, Khaenri’ah. Your works became his mantra, as the young trainee Dastur frequently stayed at night reading and memorizing your written words.

How he longed to stand by your side. To bask in the glow of your wisdom, and hopefully, one day stand beside you in these photos of The Akademiya’s best. The thought of being your equal on that wall is a fantasy that once consumed him during many sleepless nights.

But alas, his name was not in the records beside you. Instead, it was in the records of exiled students.

The expulsion was a bitter pill to swallow for Zandik, yet it became a blessing in disguise. It allowed him to break free from the constraints of the Akademiya and truly delve into the depths of his research; to walk where you walked. With this liberating and newfound freedom, The Fatui heightened his abilities. They provided him with the resources and tools, and in return, he shared the fruits of his labor with them. But the Fatui were not the focus of his pursuits - you were.

The little boy who once admired you from afar is no more. Now, a Fatui Harbinger stood before you, a man who has grown and shaped himself in your shadow. So here you were, in Dottore’s lab quietly musing. That was the story of your unceremonious reunion with The Doctor, whom you didn’t even know was after you. However, you didn’t mind it. You even met one of his many segments.

What you didn’t expect is… a little child in his lab.

A boy, looking awfully similar to little Zandik, no older than 8 years old. He gawked back at you, with his ruby-red eyes and you felt a sense of deja vu. You kneeled in front of him, catching a glimpse of a book in the child’s arms:

“Um, hello, little one. What is that book you’re reading?”

The child cast his gaze to the floor timidly, revealing the worn-out book he was concealing behind his back. He held it tightly with his little hands, speaking in a small but avid voice:

“It’s your work… Your name is right here!”

You blinked in surprise. It indeed had your name on it. The title was one of your research papers that you honestly forgot about. But what was even more surprising is why would an 8-year-old child read some old academic papers.

“Oh, it is? But isn’t it a little… boring or difficult for you to read?”

“No, I love it! I can even recite it if you want!”

When Prime Dottore entered and spotted you talking to the eager younger clone he smirked. It seems you finally met his youngest segment, and your bafflement was expected.

Dottore assured you that his segments, especially the younger Zandik, cannot contain their excitement at the mere mention of your name. They speak of you with a reverence that borders on idolatry, and they often ask Dottore about any copies of your published studies.

It seems even the segments have inherited his admiration for you.

And the youngest segment, the 8-year-old child? They are absolutely enamored with your work. Every day, they ask about you and patiently anticipate any new information about your next visit to the lab. They even have a small collection of your books on their shelf, reading them diligently and trying to understand the complexity of your ideas. It was a bewildering sight, but the youngest segment enjoyed your academic essays as his bedtime stories.

“Dottore, listen. Did you make this boy memorize my thesis instead of reading fairy tales or something? Isn’t this a little… complicated for a child?” - you asked, picking up the little segment into your arms.

“Nonsense my dear. Instead of fairy tales and nursery rhymes, a prodigy must start early by instilling a desire for knowledge. You can test it for yourself.” - Dottore explained, turning to the young child - “Recite the passage about energy infusion, paragraph 2.”

“Okay! Ahem… ‘In the realm of Khaenri'ahn technology, we find a profound example of the interconnectedness between opposites. The use of advanced energy systems combines the power of light and electricity and as according to the data numbers of…”

Oh boy. These are big words for an 8-year-old. You don’t even remember the exact words of your 400-year-old thesis; that thing is ancient! You didn’t have the heart to tell them both that this thesis was written during an all-nighter rush. You did not feel nostalgic remembering your stress over deadlines.

“Little one?” - You smiled at the boy in your arms and pointed at Dottore “Promise you won’t grow up like this big meanie here. He's annoying”

“Heehee, okay!” - The tiny Zandik gently hugged your neck. The clone's innocent presence contrasts starkly with Il Dottore's imposing frown. What you failed to notice, however, was the young segment sticking his tongue out at Dottore's jealousy while you hugged the child unawarely.

Random things I noticed while playing What Remains Of Edith Finch

There was a poster of the cannery that Lewis worked at on the boat.

2. Edith Jr wears what appears to be an engagement on a necklace. Whether this is her ring or her mothers is not mentioned.

3. At the start of the game, Milton's missing posters are EVERYWHERE. There is even a giant pile of them in a nearby lake.

4. The dragon slide that crushed and killed Sven is still outside.

5. As you walk toward the house, the music gets louder.

6. The swing that Calvin flew off decades ago is still looped around the branch.

7. There was a spare peep hole in the garage that didn't have any names or dates on it.

8. At multiple points throughout the game you can hear a train in the background, despite the fact that the train tracks are clearly destroyed.

9. There are multiple pots throughout the Finch house that looks like they have eyes.

10. One of the books the Finches possessed was 'King in Yellow', a book known for making anyone who read it insane.

11. The house sounds alive, or like there are people constantly moving around it.

12. Walters bedroom is painted with both ocean and train designs. One of the paintings is the old house that Odin tried to bring to America.

13. There are drag marks on the ground of Walters bedroom (most likely made when his drawers were taken out of his room.)

14. The entrance to the tunnels is hidden by a book called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a classic sci-fi story about a sea monster.

15. Molly's room is filled entirely with animal books.

16. There is a jelly fish on Molly's bed (possible connection to the monster??).

17. Molly has a chalkboard in her bedroom where she is a princess in an underwater castle and Sven is about to get attacked by a sea monster (slightly resembling the dragon slide).

18. As shark!Molly starts falling down the cliff, she passes a road where headlights are briefly scene.

19. When the monster gets back to Molly's room, the window that cat!Molly jumped through is still open.

20. There are still Christmas decorations in Molly's room.

21. The curse is 500 years old. That is a lot of dead people.

22. In Odin's viewfinder, it states "His [Odin's] daughter, Edie, is already dreaming of new Finch house" showing that even though her own father died not even a week ago, Edie has already moved on.

23. The house is filled head to toe with books about death, including two that Odin wrote.

24. Sven's shrine does not have a log painting like the rest of the family. His portrait is painted on a simple canvas.

25. Edie has a number of strange tapes in her room including one titled "conspiracy now".

26. The toys from Gregory's final bath are still in the bathroom.

27. There is an old bottle of alcohol in the bathroom bin.

28. A lot of Sam's photos are based on Calvin (a swing, astronauts).

29. All of Milton's drawings are based on the death. (Molly = cat, Barbara = pumpkin)

30. There are cigarettes and gin on Sam's side of the room he shared with Calvin.

31. Calvin already had bruises, Band-Aids and a cast on his leg when he died.

32. Sam blames himself for challenging Calvin.

33. In the story, Calvin doesn't fall. He keeps flying.

34. Barbara's birthday cake is still in her room.

35. Barbara is holding crutches in her portrait.

36. There are totem-esc styles statues of both Calvin and Molly

37. Barbara's outfit is over the railing.

This is the same way the Hook-Man falls

38. "Performance of her life" can also mean that it is the performance she is known for.

44. There are times wear it seems like you can hear sobbing (this one may just be me).

47. This isn't a fact but I think this may be one of the funniest photos of the game (LIKE SIR? YOUR DAUGHTER IS SOBBING!).

48. Both Calvin and Dawn are on Sam's shrine.

50. Gregory has the soap bottle from his final bath in his shrine.

51. The music cuts out when Gregory isn't moving.

61. There is no death date for Milton on his peephole.

62. Edith JR wrote Milton's death date as 2003 (the year he disappeared).

64. Lewis' dream Palace is decorated with fish.

65. The gnomes scattered around the house are outside the original house in Edie's story.

The plush you have is like the one on my bg, a huge squid/octopus with long Tenticals perfect for coddling, it’s about as big as you and is your favorite color

Legit almost had a heart attack when he first saw you all cute and cuddled up to a massive plushi octopus/squid as big as you were

Tbh it kinda gives him a confidence boost. He isn’t happy with a lot of things about himself and his octo body is one of them so seeing his s/o cuddled up to a octopus plushi makes him melt

Probably has a picture of you sleeping with it ngl (he keeps it in his wallet)

Gets a little pouty and jealous if you spend more time with it then you do him. But then he remembers that it’s a plushi

Azul finds it endering how fondly you hold it and how fond of it you are

Let him take a nap/sleep with you while you cuddle it, it’s so soft and he understands why you love it so much

Discreetly asks if you can hold him instead (please hold him)

Honestly you haveing and cuddling a giant octo plush makes him more willing to let you see him in octo form because he’s knows you won’t judge him.

Is most jealous when it gets to sit in your lap because hey! That’s his place!

Azul also likes to cuddle it while you two sleep (100% not because it smells like you and that comforts him) he thinks it’s so soft and plush and just all around great

When you sleep and cuddle the plushi it’s Samwiched between you two, Tenticals intertwined with both of your legs

The plushi you have is an eel plushi (of course). It’s about half your size and extra chonky. It’s also more of a patch work style, large button eyes and odd quilt like fabric in patchwork styling.

Honestly he loves it. It makes you look so cute and smoll when you hug it like a child and watch him work on his little Tereriams

Go’s into cardiac arrest when he says something cute/flirty and you giggle and Nestle into the plush to hide your blush because ajskxnziekenfks so fucken cute

Smiles and takes a picture when he sees you sleeping with it, low-key thinks of the future and how cute it’s goona be with kids

Chuckles when he sees you just chilling with it in the dorm rooms and teses you lightly about being so cute he could just eat you up (sir is that a threat?)

Kinda embarrassed that he’s gotten jealous over the plushi when you snuggle it. Will never admit this and will take it to his grave

If your gone for whatever reason and didn’t take the plushi he low-key holds it in his lap like you do, he has no clue why but it’s becoming a habit of his (it’s because he misses you)

When you sleep he likes to be big spoon so he spoons you while you cuddle/spoon the plushi

First time he saw you with it was when he walked in on you takeing a nap. He just gave you a smile and made sure you were covered by blankets

Floyd Leech 🦈🌊💙

The plushi you have is like 2-3 times as big as you, legit 2-3 of you long, and it’s also about as thicc as a normal body pillow. It’s dark blueish grey with muted teel fins, imagine the eels from little Mermaid.

The most vocal about how cute he thinks his little shrimpy is all cuddled up to a huge plushy of him

The first time he saw you with it was when you were just chilling in your room and he came in. There you were, sitting in comfy clothes, the tail of a eel plushi wrapped around your waist and legs. Needless to say you and the plush were promptly swooped up into a tight squeeze

Has tones of pictures of you sleeping with it on his wall

Gets high key jealous of the plush and will give it a death glare when you aren’t looking. Of course it’s nothing hugs and cuddles can fix

Loves it when you can sit between his legs/in his lap while the huge plushi is wrapped around you two.

Teses you 25/8 about how much you love the plushi but don’t you dare stop because he thinks it’s cute

Is determined to take it’s place and become your favorite body pillow

When sleeping with Floyd there are 3 outcomes

One is that you end up on the floor because he accidentally pushed you off the bed and you couldn’t move him because he’s heavy, Two, Floyd clings to you like a koala in a vice grip you can’t escape from no matter how hard you try, And three he uses you as a human blanket and likes to hold you while you lay on his chest

In one you just cuddle the plushi, in two, the plushi is tangled and wrapped around both of you also acting as a pillow while Floyd squeezes the both of you, in three the plushi is right beside Floyd and tangled in both of your legs while he holds you on his chest

Actually, it's a three-piece suit, which she wears without a shirt, based on menswear but using colors and textures that haven't been seen on men since the 1970s. In fact, menswear of the 1970s was likely the exact inspiration, judging by this quote from Sarah Edwards, the designer:
