everytime i rewatch one day, one room i expect house to disclose some sort of SA trauma and every time i am shocked when that isn't what happens

I don't know what happened to you. Given how lousy you're responding, I assume it was worse than getting abused by your grandmother. I hardly ever screwed up when she was around. "one day, one room" hits so hard. they address abortion. they address rape. they talk about philosophy, and God, and parental abuse. and we get to see so much of House that he keeps buried deep deep down that the situation strangles out of him. it's different in its format than most episodes, but i don't think i've ever been left so emotionally raw by this show before.
