you know, i think clips are getting to be... about October? i have 600 in queue right now, it should be close. i kinda realized, this entire last year has been games that took place in Japan. Digimon Cyber Sleuth, World's End Club, Persona, i got into AI: The Somnium Files(i hope the next sale is soon!). i should probably also just play The World Ends With You, just to add another to the list, i got that on DS back in the days i was bad at prioritizing what to do in games. i saw the shrine in the background of this one, and it just kinda hit me how many of them were in Japan.

do you have any theories or anything you want to happen in season 3 of yellowjackets?

Theories, not so much. Pet desires? Absolutely. I want to see more in-depth work on Taissa, particularly in relation to the no-eyed man. I want to see childhood flashbacks for any of the girls, but especially Van. I would love to get, as I've said, more of the bleeding-in of the 90s cast into the adult timeline situations. I want Akilah to have survived to adulthood. I want Taivan shenanigans in both timelines, and if this means adult Taivan banging it out, I will not be remotely argumentative.

I think my biggest (deeply unlikely) want is a parallel episode to Doomcoming--with the girls prepping for the end of summer/fall with another shindig. This time, they're very much in control and ready for The Rituals. Bonus points if it includes, instead of a cute lil' coming out dance, a Taivan Wilderness Wedding. Bonus BONUS points if, instead of hunting Travis-the-stag in a fit of madness (and letting him go), they hunt Ben-the-stag in a fit of sober fury (and have their first feast for the changing season). I think that's my wildest "yes please" hope, because I love parallels in my narratives, and because it would be genuinely the funniest thing to find out Taissa has been married twice this entire time, and her entire romantic life somehow a bigger mess than any of us thought possible.

I’m finding that the laziest moments of Doctor Who’s writing are the ‘retroactive twists’ - when the show runner reveals something happened way back over there, in the past, before they were even running the show. And we swear it happened, way over there, far back, and you didn’t see it because of reasons but it’s definitely been happening! And it totally makes sense and I absolutely didn’t just pull it out my ass to justify my paper thin plotline! All this kind of writing does is make me miss self contained season length plots. We’ve had people complaining that Moffat was guilty of the “this thing is big and scary and it’s going to happen, oh god it’s showing up, we’re going to discover what it truly is….. next season!!!!!!” plotline (and yes. he was. twelve is my fav doctor but yeah Moffat loved a mysterious horse and a big stick) but now suddenly when RTD gets out his own mysterious horse and a big stick, it’s got to be genius! everything is eventually going to make sense! and we’re absolutely not being had by a man who used to be able to write this show and is now a hack!
