I've been meaning to do some more Homestar Runner art for a while anyways, and with my recent fixation I figured I could combine the two because both properties have a trio of prominent brothers. Of course there are distinct differences between the two families--namely the Brothers Strong looking so wildly different from one another and often being physically if not always emotionally close, whereas the Nailmasters would be completely identical if not for Sheo's added apron and are located at considerable distance from one another especially in Oro's case, but there's enough similarity on an individual level for me to have made it work.

Strong Sad is Sheo here, as he seems to be the most outwardly sensitive and creative of the three Strongs (though tbh they're all creative, Strong Sad just has the highest combo of both skill and sincerity). Strong Bad is Mato because they both seem to be the most enthusiastic about their narrative purpose--Mato is proud to be a Nailmaster and wants to pass that teaching onto a student, while Strong Bad is both a troublemaker and always tries to come off as "bad" in the "cool" sense, a badass if you will, in desire if not in full execution. And of course, Strong Mad is Oro, not because they were both the last ones to get matched, but because they're both outwardly tough while inwardly soft (Oro's reluctant acceptance of the Delicate Flower paralleling with Strong Mad's deep friendship with The Cheat and genuine love for his younger brothers). And something that I didn't realize while working on this that makes this even more fitting: the Godhome fight where Oro and Mato finally come together and, even if only in a dream, make amends and fight side by side as the brothers they are. In one of the earliest HSR toons that is now apparently taken off the site, Marshmallow's Last Stand, the whole plot was Strong Bad and Strong Mad challenging Homestar and Pom Pom to a tag-team fight. :3

Whenever I imagine MiSaru angry sex before their reconciliation, I can't help but imagine Misaki saying stuff like: "You had to come back for me just for this, didn't ya? You needed to come back just for this."

Because it's angstier that way :D I'm imagining this after they've had angry hatesex a couple times, like imagine the first time is just this heat of the moment type thing, where they're fighting a tearing at each other and suddenly they're kissing instead and pulling off each other's clothes. It's rough and angry, Fushimi egging Yata on for every scratch and bite, tasting every inch of Yata's hate and frustration and passion, and afterward he doesn't say anything – just smiles and fixes his clothes, and leaves Yata angry and shaking behind him. After this it happens every now and again, not something planned really, it's just sometimes they'll be fighting and Yata will pin Fushimi to a wall and it starts again. And of course Fushimi is more than happy to goad Yata into it whenever he's in the mood, knowing just what to say and where to hit to get Yata into the right frame of mind, and as he fixes his clothes later he tells himself that nothing about this is love.

For Yata meanwhile I imagine this is just so frustrating and confusing and bitter, because he doesn't hate Saruhiko and he wishes he did, and every time Fushimi comes back to him and starts pulling his clothes off Yata feels like he should stop this and push him away and yet he wants it so bad. And when he's got Fushimi pinned against a bed or a wall he finds that frustration bubbling up inside him, anger at the Fushimi who won't tell him anything, who just teases and taunts and still does this with him. Yata roughly pushes Fushimi down. angrily mutters 'You had to come back just for this, didn't you? You needed to come back to me for this.' Fushimi only laughs deep in his throat, breathy, and murmurs that maybe he did, or maybe Yata needed him to – it's all one to him, all this heat and this hate, and there's nothing Yata can do to untangle what's come between them here.

Azel: "Hmm, who gifted it to you? Mine was also a gift, it was from my best friend a long time ago."

Azels ears perked up for a moment as he rummaged through his tail for a moment, grabbing a glass bottle of sorts with some translucent blue liquid in it.

Azel: "Oh and here, take this, it's my very own patented scarf cleaning liquid, trust me it works wonders and even smells like berries. I'd say for you, just add in two to three drops of it to whatever water you use when cleaning it, for me I tend to use about ten drops when cleaning all 40 some-odd scarves of my own."

He sounded proud of his large collection as he handed Lief the bottle, which has a special lid with a dropper in it.

The undertone that Azel just wanted to flex his collection and home-made soap really didn't sit well with him. He firmly pushed away the bottle with a paw as he turned his nose up with a pout.

Lief: "First off, thanks but no thanks. By the way, don't give me something that smells like food, but clearly isn't food. If I'm not meant to eat it, what's the point."

Of course, he knew better than to put things in his mouth that wasn't food, even if it smelled like it was edible; for the most part. But he really was just complaining for its sake right then.

Lief: "Also, where I did or didn't get the scarf is none of your business. What made you think I was going to just tell you something like that?"

i cant believe i forgot that im a fire emblem enjoyer 🙄 i was reading some of my notifs/tags from that one post about the video game series you've played the longest and oh my god.

i would like to apologize to fire emblem for forgetting that i've played it even though it's probably one of the longest standing series in my life next to pokemon and xenoblade... 💀 (<- they have 565 hours in fire emblem, 170 in awakening, 45 for fates, 75 for sov, and 275 for three houses and perhaps a few hours from feh but we don't talk about that)

anyway. did you know i like fire emblem. and that i like reading tags. i hope you all have swag times with whatever game series makes you happy! 💙

I did it

I cut off some more inches of hair. Blowed out it's at lip level so I'll see once I wash out the serum what's going on. Lowkey back to twa 😚

I think it had to be done. Between schedule management, previous underlying health issues, product changes, environmental changes, anxiety, and stress, I didn't want to keep sacrificing my hair just to say that I've been growing it out for so long. Health over length even if it means no shoulder 😌

This is probably my shortest cut since my big chop almost exactly 8 years ago. I'll probably have it shaped and extra trimmed by a pro soon for anything I missed. Maybe I'll see if there's a reason that one spot easily has tension pain too. Whatever, it's a clean slate ☺️

Claire and her husband lived in a pretty small town far from any major hubs so outbreak day for them was super early the following morning.

Claire was at working breakfast at the diner! Micah came pealing into the parking lot and was like "Get your things. Now." and when Claire questioned him he was like I'm not playing around Claire which...Micah was never ever the kind of man to talk like that to her so she knew it was serious. The two of them packed up what they needed and drove off into Yellowstone.

Well, Adam's my best friend! He's a great guy once you get to know him, especially if you catch him on one of his few good days. I care about him a lot. And I've.. I've given up a lot for him, y'know? It's fine if he doesn't see me the same, cause he's still my best friend, and that's all that matters, right?

Jonah's not... horrible. He's annoying, and gets on my nerves with all his jokes, but he's not horrible. Kinda reminds me of a lost, sopping wet puppy that decided to follow around the first person that gave him a treat. He's really clingy and keeps insisting we're best friends. But I care about him, or whatever. I don't want him to die or something, I guess.
