so here are my categories updated in light of the recent events aka the end of season 1 (under the cut because it's still long af and i don't want to pollute dashes):
i have been made aware (by my friend, again) that these categories are based on fears, so:
fire:
episode 8, the contractor
episode 12, gerard keay at the hospital
episode 37, guy in the forest and milk bottles
pestilence (infestation, but cooler):
jane prentiss in general (worms)
episode 36, care home (flies)
madness (hypnotic patterns and fractals):
episode 3, not!graham's table? idk
episode 8, the contractor's dad obsessed with fractals
episode 38, homophobic vase
episodes 39, not!graham's table again? idk

episode 1, anglerfish
episode 8, not!graham himself?
episode 10, vampires?
episode 27, bedroom doorknob
episode 28, anglerfish part 2 (yes i recognised sarah baldwin's name from episode 1, i'm better than jonathan /j)
episode 39, not!sasha herself?
hunt (name-dropped by jonathan):
episode 10, also vampires?
episode 14, voodoo fingers old lady ("some hungers are too strong to be denied")?

episode 21: parachute guy
lonely (name-dropped by my friend haha):
episode 13, graveyard and fog
episode 33, ghost ship and fog

episode 10, also also vampires?
episode 14, voodoo fingers old lady
episode 17, boneturner's book
episode 18, rotting meat nailed to the floor
episode 28, anglerfish part 2 (idk she wears her own skin like a glove and that's gross)
episode 30, abattoir
eyes (not a fear, btw, so i'm gessing fear of being watched?):
episode 12, gerard keay's lighter, and also gerard keay's tattoos
episode 23, mausoleum in germany
episode 39, jonathan feeling observed
claustrophobia (?):
episode 2, casket?
episode 15, cave diving?
episodes i have no idea where to put:
episode 4, ex altiora
episode 5, trash bags (probably multiple categories depending on the trash bag)
episodes 19 & 20, priest (probably multiple categories as well, maybe a bit of madness and a bit of ew)
episode 24, red organ and puppets (i will not let my own fear of clowns and dolls bully me into making a shiny new category just for them)
episode 25, cult roommate (could be lonely, could be darkness, idk)
episode 35, corridors (all of the categories at once)
“I hate the script, the vault dwellers sound so cheesy—“ my Brother in Steel you realize that’s the point, right? They were bred to act like the physical embodiment of an HR e-mail. Did you not catch the memo that Vault-Tec put out regarding their experiment facilities?
playing through farewell to get 1 line of optional dialog for a video essay and every time strategywiki says 'choose the wrong option here for a minimal penalty and some fucking insane banter' i cannot fucking resist
so on the subject of the "Crowley is secretly Revaan/Laverne/Levin/please Twst give us his name" theory, I think my feelings are best summed up as "I don't really buy it, but it's funny". like, in all seriousness, I'm not opposed to it; I have enjoyed the writing in Twst so far and I'm willing to trust that whatever happens will, you know, make sense and not be terrible. but I'm just not really convinced by the current evidence! maybe that'll change once we learn more, we'll see!
with that said, may I propose a few alternate theories about the possible Crowley/Revaan connection:
you are so whimsical i qant to check out this mdzs (..??) because of your whimsical nature thank you sorry im very high and your art moved me emotionally
This is simultaneously the sweetest and funniest thing someone has sent me, thank you.
“When toxic behavior is portrayed as romantic, it’s problematic. When problematic behavior is portrayed as a character flaw for a character to work through, it’s good storytelling.”
Katsuki Bakugou, my friends.
His behavior was problematic but never once portrayed as romantic at the same time. Katsuki said and did awful abusive things, and he also chose to be better when he was given the chance. If you’re still hung up on chapter 1 Katsuki now then I don’t think you’ve been reading the same story I have.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not shipping Izuku with an irredeemable abuser. I’m shipping him with his most important person. His narrative foil. His childhood friend who made awful mistakes and then made it right when he saw he was wrong. The person Izuku looks up to and strives to emulate, despite their past struggles.
Bakudeku is so good because of how flawed these boys are, and how hard they’ve worked to get over it, and how much they matter to each other after it all
Danny, Jason, Tim and Damian get Isakaid into a high fantasy world.
Jason is enjoying himself due to his love of period dramas and Damian has somehow managed to gain the class of Beast Tamer. Do not ask how many animals he has the answer is too many.
Tim at first was suffering immensely thanks to the lack of tech and many of the things he loved from the modern world being missing (thankfully this world does have indoor plumbing) until he realizes he can just make some of the stuff himself as an inventor.
Danny tries to flee, seeing as the reason they're in this mess to begin with is all Dannys fault (authors choice as to how) but kept getting recaptured until he stopped. Now he helps the others with whatever they need in-between trying to find a way home and stargazing.
Unfortunately for the isakai world the bats are scary no matter where they are. They become a party in a guild and-alongside Danny-basically stomp everything flat.
Part 2 to this post of my understanding of one piece characters from OPLA, 70-ish episodes of the anime and cultral osmosis - this time with a slightly better understanding of how to use ms paint
Actually ☝🏻 love was invented back in that godforsaken/-blessed, boring ass medical convention in New Orleans, 1991, when out of the 3000 attendees, house thought that wilson was the only one who wasn’t boring. Not the least boring one, may i note, but not boring at all whatsoever…
And then in the beginning of s5 love died back in wilson’s office as he was packing his things up, telling house “we’re not friends anymore. i don’t think we ever were”, and then in ep4, after house’s father’s funeral, when wilson threw that bottle of alcohol at the glass wall due to pure, bubbling frustration and it just shattered, just like it did back in New Orleans, and house said “still not boring”, love actually ☝🏻 resurrected from its ashes like a phoenix.
Arthur: I have decided to finally trust you with my life's greatest secret and guilt, and in my vulnerability, you have seen me and understood me. Thank you for being kind to me in my moment of need. I have never called you friend before and so I shall do so now. I trust you, my friend.
John: Cringe. Ratio. Plus beating you to death beating you to death beating you to death beating you to d
