Have you ever had to live through the trecherous slump o downward slope, you have, haven't you? Have you had the courage to smile through the strife? Accept it with equal eqanimity as you welcome success? No (that's a big no for me, at the least. But, here I am cultivating an #attitudeofgratitude ). For when this Universe doesn't give up on me and gives me a fresh slate of chances each new day, who am I to doubt that these roadblocks aren't temporary, and that certain lessons ought not be ignored? That is what Hope is to me - today - for a couple of days. A belief that even in the microcosm of nothingness, utter dust as you say, one tiny flicker of ray will reflect (sun) light and brighten the room (of life). That void ti me today, is nothing but an opportunity to bloom - as we were always meant to. Suburban Sadness

When I started sharing my poetry on Tumblr, I was going through a difficult time in my life. I had left a toxic work environment that caused so much stress. I lost many relationships. It was like going through a million breakups all at the same time. It hit me hard financially. I depleted my savings and went into debt. I lost too much weight. The emotional pain caused physical pain. My mind kept spinning and spinning, searching for answers. I looked up and asked God what do I do? And the only thing that came to mind was start sharing your poetry. I thought that was a pretty weird thought. But it was a reminder of who I am and what I’m meant to be doing. It was a reminder of my calling. It’s been years. This self-published book that is my literal heart in your hands. And I get to share my poetry with 18k of you. I’m thankful you’re here.

A feeling that never
