I was hoping to have all 3 of my Freela kids ready by tomorrow, been falling behind because life... but the *STAR* attraction of the three is finally finished! (haha get it? *star* cus she's named after a star AHAHAH)

So this is my official redesign of my Freela baby, Turanga Violet Star Fry.

*Is named after the Violet Dwarf Star. You know, the star that literally forced Leela to face her true feelings more than ever and trust Fry with the most important thing in the universe, and also made her realise she could not deny her undying love for Fry any longer.

*Pronouns she/her

*Family pet name is Hexy Chicky

*She is a goth punk rebel without a cause

*Angsty Teen (16 years I'd say roughly of age)

*Is besties w/Bender

*Has an ✨ICONIC✨ Witch's Black cat (Fang, Morris and Munda's cat's baby 🥹)

*Her hair has mutations where it glows the colour of the violet drawf star. The glow gets brighter and engulfs her whole hair whenever she is closed to the encyclapod or anything that is in danger and needs to be saved, this includes beings, and whole entire planets. Certain situations one might say.

*She has a connection to the encyclapod and knows where it can be found at any given time. She learns she can communicate to plants, animals, basically anything living.

*Her hair can also change length and texture to best suit her needs. Think like Bayonetta (best video game witch IMO she is boss queen) Violet can use har hair as a weapon to defend herself. She also learns she can grow tenticles at will from her hair, very much like her other two siblings.

*She is a bad ass boss bitch like her momma

*Has big fuck off death stomper boots, just like her momma

*Is an environmental and animal activist like her momma

*Practices witch craft due to her innate connection with nature all that is living.

*Will spend hours debating with her brother Phil and Professor Farnsworth and Cubert about what is science and spirituality, what can be explained and what cannot be explained and try to either thwart them or find a way to bridge the two together.

The Chicky on her shirt is the chicken she's known as in the family, they all have chicken nicknames cus of the chicken hats. I am working on a family photo of them all as we speak. Thank you so much to the incredible @ladybender for the inspiration for this idea. 🥹

Still working on her story and everything but I finally have her design ready and I am so happy and proud. If you ever saw spam posts on DeviantART of a user called FryplusLeela4Eva2getha that was me and I posted artworks of Violet and her two siblings Phil and Sam. Redesigns of them coming soon! I'm just so happy I was able to get one of them out at least before the drop of the first new episode haha.

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

While I do find it funny that henchmen in Gotham probably warn each other about the Red Hood because he's a bat who will actually kill you. I think it would be better if Jason was actually seen as some sort of savior or idol to like 90% of the goons scattered around Gotham. Doesn't matter who they work for, they all know Jason, former crime-lord that took over majority of Gotham's underground in one night.

I got a new phone a good while ago and forgot to install the hellsite on it until I started watching pm seymour again.

Idk how long its been because I have no concept of time but I just know its been awhile. Long enough, one might say.

Lets just say it was enough time for me to have my 18th birthday, get my shit together in school, start getting couseling and medication for my mental health, and get about halfway through writing story that I am shockingly proud of so far. Might share some spicy quotes with no spoilers through the reblogs 👀

my minotaur boy!! pls click on the photos for higher res! my thesis is focusing on trans men and creatures (how original ik) and this was last semester's final. i spent a lot of time looking at sculptures of the theseus/minotaur story, and yknow? a LOT of them are erotic! i'm pretty sure i saw some of them on tumblr a decade ago, and that's led to this now!

as you'll notice, the minotaur has a big t-dick! i wanted to give him breasts and an enlarged clitoris to present a very masculine trans figure. the boy on the bottom is also trans because i say so . the piece is about looking up to older, bigger, hairier trans men and seeing something awe-inspiring and beautiful. the minotaur was locked up by a cruel father for being different, and i think modern adaptations tend towards a sympathetic asterion (his name in one version)

making this piece was. so much effort. it took me about 3 months to get it all together - from clay model (plasticine) to 3D print to silicone mold to wax cast, and finally bronze pour into the shell mold. and then a TON of filing, sanding, dremel-ing, and various other metalworking techniques that probably took years off my life.

i started with sketches and made theeeeeee ugliest model ever:

then used a 3D scanner to get it digital, then spent a goooood month or two making him pretty in blender! then i spent an agonizing few weeks trying to get it print-ready, and fiiiiiinally did

^^^ an early resin printed draft of the model - you can see in the final that i added lots to theseus after some feedback, but sadly the nosering broke off every time i cast it so i just. let that be <3

then came the moldmaking, and then the wax dipping!! the yellow stuff is shell mold (ground up ceramic bits and algae soup, sticks to the wax, then silica sand in varying sizes on top) which gets the wax melted out, and bronze poured in!

then it's all metalworking, cutting stuff off, and working with hot metal. they don't tell you about all the bronze dust and how annoying it gets wearing a respirator AND goggles. but it is for me health, me boy. here's him all cleaned up before the patina:

and then i spray him down with various chemicals to make it "patina" (aka rust) in pretty colors. wait a few days, then apply paste wax to seal it and give it that shine!

then we get what you see above!!! the blue was actually unintentional, and i'm still not super sure why it looks that way.. but it's pretty so idc <3
