Hiya!✨️ Figured I should make an intro post on my own blog :)
My name is Dawn, and I'm a symptom holder in my system! We are a (diagnosed) C-DID system, along with having C-PTSD, NPD, BPD, Audhd, Fibromyalgia, FND, POTS, etc (putting these here for others with similar/the same disorders to interact! PLEASE interact!!)
Some things about me! I LOVE collecting nail polish!! I love looking at all the different colors and painting my nails different shades and EEEEE it's so much fun!! I also like collecting makeup! I love looking pretty and having super pretty makeup products! AND PERFUMES!! I LOVE PERFUMES!! I love smelling nice and smelling all the different scents! I prefer woodsy scents to sweet ones. However, there are exceptions! I am also intersex and very cute! I love drawing myself and will probably share that here!
Now, to get to the not-so-fun part. The DNI. I'd really prefer Endos and their supporters not interact, along with TERFS/Radfems, Intersexists, LGBTQIA-phobic of any kind (including Good Faith identities! We love those here!), narc-abuse believers (or any PD abuse believer), bigots, etc! If you aren't sure whether you're on my DNI, just shoot me a quick ask! I have anons turned on (for now! That can always change)
Soooo yeah! That's me! I'd love to answer any questions via asks and stuff! Or just chat, really! :)

Although weirdos don't act like it, nowhere in any CDD system's criteria does it state "hating endoegenics" as a qualifying factor.

I honestly think "-genic" labels are useless at this point.
The labels "endogenic" and "traumagenic" do absolutely nothing to tell you how that person experiences systemhood or if they're actually a system or not.
Theres CDD systems who identify as endogenic and "non-disordered systems" who identify as traumagenic.
Just because someone IDs as endogenic doesn't mean they're not a system and just because someone IDs as traumagenic doesn't mean they are a system.
Fakers and mistakers are prevalent on both sides.

you know what I'm not gonna tag it as anything because I don't really want anybody specific (pro, anti, neutrals etc whatever) to see it, and I also don't want to send it directly to SAS because they don't deserve to deal with this kind of bullshit...
but.
this. this is why I can't have a fucking normal conversation with anti endos. because as soon as a prominent anti endo on this webbed site "turns" pro endo (they didn't turn on you, they didn't betray you, they don't know who the fuck you are, they are not your friend, they don't deserve your parasocial expectations) they become *checks notes* a groomer????? WHAT
I know people in syscourse aren't alright but. are you alright.

I think the most interesting part from The Haunted Self that I've read so far was the chapter on Primary Structural Dissociation. I initially skipped over it since I was trying to find something specific from the next couple of chapters but I'm glad I went back.
Primary structural dissociation is the type associated to ptsd and c-ptsd. It's not really linked with CDDs since those fall under secondary/tertiary dissociation. But the book talks about how even in primary structural dissociation there are cases where the anp and ep are more separate from each other - not to the level of elaboration that a cdd would contain, but still where the patient described the ep as somewhat separated from them (one example had an ep who was a different age and viewed the anp as another example, though notably that person had experienced childhood trauma)
It also talks about how switching between parts has been observed in cases of (c)-ptsd and talks about WW1 veterans switching from ep to anp once having left battle. It's not like switching in CDDs (it even specifies as a clinical term switching should be used only for those) where switching is between autonomous parts but describes the ep and anp in terms of their reactions and perceptions of the world. (Ex - a person's perception of x thing might change suddenly and that'd be the indicator of a switch - though their sense of identity remains the same)
I've said it before but I don't think system and singlet are the dichotomy people make them out to be - in both experience and, well, who exactly qualifies under "a person with with multiple parts."
Ptsd on its own is obviously not a system causing disorder. Most people with it would probably consider themselves singlets without a second thought. But it's still something really interesting to me to think about when it comes to the way dissociation affects the brain.

ya know it only took 24 years to realize we experience synesthesia. and it kinda makes sense that it took so long considering our experience with dissociation/CDD but also lowkey find it wild that we figured out the CDD ✨long before✨ the synesthesia. coming to know and understand our experience with synesthesia has actually been quite helpful in navigating some system stuff though. definitely explained and cleared up some things lmao. but it’s one of those things that different parts experience differently so it’s like we got a variety pack of flavors of synesthesias lmao

Clarifying that the point of this poll is for dissociative disorders in general, not just CDDs
so the walk this morning led to a debate: does Tumblr actually know what dissociation means?
Note: "dissociative disorders" includes DID, DPDR, dissociative amnesia, OSDD, etc.
Please reblog for reach if you can!

Endos are not discriminated against
Someone not sharing your belief is not discrimination. The concept of being multiple people/souls/spirits/entities in one body is entirely spiritual. Bringing that into CDD spaces and expecting to be welcomed like you have similar experiences is ridiculous. PwCDD's are allowed to dislike endogenics who use CDD terms (split, switch, dormant, ect) to describe their spiritual belief. PwCDD's are allowed to dislike endos telling questioning systems that you can be "plural" without DID. PwCDD's are allowed to dislike endos who act like they face day to day discrimination just because they aren't welcome in system spaces.
Before you say "endos aren't invading CDD spaces" many are. You may not be, your friends may not be, but a lot of endos do this. Enough that pwCDDs are hurt by it.
Endogenics are not discriminated against. Stop forcing your beliefs on people. Claiming anti-endos are discriminating against you is the same logic as Christians who think Atheists are discriminating against them.

it's frankly sort of... funny? that anti endos seem to think that declaring that DID/OSDD is trauma-based somehow negates endogenic plurality.
I get it, alright. I get it, your plurality is traumagenic, so you think everyone else's must be too! and it's frustrating because you see all those endos that are poor traumagenic angels in denial, and you have to save them from the indoctrination.
but you're becoming who you swore to destroy. you're spreading misinformation about CDDs, you're equating CDDs with endogenic plurality (something you say endos are doing!), you kewk on endos as if it proves your moral superiority.
you're being an asshole.
full stop. assholery doesn't turn hearts. even if all endos on the planet are just pwCDDs in denial (which, no, not all of them, but let's assume for a second), you're doing the exact opposite. you're driving them away. you're not creating a community for pwCDDs to talk about our disorder, you're creating a community based on hate for your fellow human beings. you're stripping people of their right to self-determination, to say who they are, because you know them better than they know themselves.
I bet everyone is clapping at your smart comebacks and your blocking everyone who is trying to debate. you're in an echo chamber of yourself and 3 other people who agree with you on everything you're saying.
congratulations, I guess...?

I'm getting kinda tired of people saying a diagnosis is a privilege. having easy access to a diagnosis is a privilege. being able to go schedule an appointment and not have to worry about the cost is a privilege. this isn't anti-self dx. i'm just tired of people implying a diagnosis is always a privilege
diagnosis itself is not inherently a privilege. before you come for me, I'm afab and visibly poc. no one knows my family history.
the people i know who are diagnosed did not have an easy time getting it. hell! an actual paper dx can take years for CDDs. the things i've heard from dx'd pwCDDs are horrible.
my friend who had to go to court mandated therapy since age 7 is not privileged. the government paid for their therapy because they couldn't afford it normally. they arent privileged because of their diagnosis status.
the person involuntarily committed to a hospital for a violent crime or attempt is not privileged for being diagnosed. they still have to navigate the costs of going inpatient.
me and my friends have 'severe cases' that required direct treatment. my parts have tried to kill me. their parts have tried to kill them. people entering the psychiatric system do not always go in willingly.
when i think of people saying diagnosed pwCDDs are privileged over self-dx'd pwCDDs, i think of my friends. i think of the fights they have to have with the court and insurance.
i don't want to come off as classist, but please keep in mind the people with "severe" cases of CDDs

"[dissociative identity disorder] and [other specified dissociative disorder] aren't disorders, it's literally just like the lgbtqia+!"
Top three most insane end0 posts I've ever seen:
Tumblr media
This one needs no explaining
Tumblr media
It's the last paragraph, plus the "resetting" the system part (PROGRAMMED SYSTEM TERM)
Tumblr media
Also needs...no explanation
