Monopoly / Polymono
[PT: Monopoly / Polymono]
“Monopoly or polymono is a term that means one is open to having either a monogamous or polyamorous relationship. Someone might have a preference for one or the other, but still are open to any. Someone who identifies with this can be any sexual, romantic, or other orientation as well.
Similar terms include ambiamorous, though those who identify as monopoly can have a preference.” - LGBTQIA wiki(link)
This is merely just a color change, I do think I’ll make my own own version but idk.

This is the beginning of the book/The Losing Game Dorian. Everything in his design is meant to emphasize his youth—I actually used fashion plates from the Met of victorian boys clothing as reference for his outfit here.
Dorian, unlike Basil, effortlessly sticks out and doesn’t mind it. Regardless of if he wears what everyone else does or if he chooses to experiment, he is simply eye-catching. I hinted at this with the simple splash of blue on his bowtie, which also adds to his more childish nature.
I’ve said it before, but I do not blame Dorian at the beginning of the book for any of the shit that happened to him. He was a mentally still a teenager and was taken advantage of. I’m going with ‘Henry does a dumb thing because being a toxic ex was on his 1890 bingo card’ version of events for my modern reimaging au. My version of Henry knowingly used Dorian to get back at Basil. In particular, he fully lead Dorian on—having had no interest in him outside of fucking with Basil which just messed up Dorian even more. He was absolutely devasted once he discovered that.
In lighter news, TLG Dorian avoided corruption from Henry because he has somewhat of an attention deficit and when Henry was talking about youth and stuff, he was hyper focused on the bumblebee in the garden. This resulted in him catching like 15% of what Henry said and assuming Henry was saying art lasts forever and therefore he (Dorian) should be a composer. Henry was too stunned to speak. Dorian took that as confirmation he was right XD

Musical Inspiration: Ylang Ylang - FKJ
Kyojuro's palm is wide and encouraging whilst it encircles your wrist, small craters forming in his cheeks while he fondly smiles down at you.
He doesn't relinquish eye contact. Magnetic eyes gleam in the sunset skipping across the train's window. He patiently guides your fingers to his heavy, twitching cock beneath the blanket, his chest expanding shakily in anticipation of what will come. You search his eyes for confirmation, silently asking if this is alright? He nods in confirmation, a hum rumbling like thunder beneath his ribcage.
Cautiously, your digits curl around Kyojuro's delicate crown, invoking a strained groan from him that makes your stomach ignite with butterflies. You watch petal-pink, saliva-glossed lips quiver whilst your thumb skates over his slit to gather up his precum spouting outward in silvery rivulets. His eyes roll into their sockets, his head colliding with the headrest, an airy "fuck" skittering from his mouth. He seeks more friction with the slow-weighted undulation of his hips. Bites his lip, tightening his hold on your carpus to encourage you to pump him a little faster.
You watch with shy, childlike wonderment, warmth flowering in your cheeks. Nibble on your lip, determination etching itself onto your features. Emboldened by Kyojuro's response, you maneuver yourself into a more comfortable position beside him. Slip into his virile embrace, his heart thudding like a war drum beneath your cheek. You pull your flannel throw further up your body to shield his delicious visage from passersby.
Though you occupy the last train car in the very back, a few passengers manage to toddle by every now and then. The prospect of being caught with your lover's dick in your hand sends pleasant tingles to the vertex of your thighs, heat pricking the tips of your ears. It was his suggestion, after all. For you to tease him so brazenly whilst you both travel to the site of your joint mission.
You stroke him experimentally, entranced by how soft and hot he is. How his body eagerly responds to your ministrations, the forked veins of his cock pulsing with magma while your other hand toys with his loaded balls. Kyojuro drags you closer, desperation and possessiveness inhabiting his every move. His callused fingers claim your jaw to draw you into a succulent kiss, pilfering the breath from your lungs.
"Don't stop," he breathes hotly into your mouth, bucking northward into your ironclad hold. "Just like that." The torment clinging to his tone is like the sweetest lullaby.
Hearing him beg so wantonly for you makes you want to rearrange the moon and stars in the sky. You would move mountains for this man if only to hear such beautiful sounds leave his mouth again. It isn't often that you get to reduce your boyfriend to a spasming puddle like this. He usually takes the reigns, pressing you into the mattress until your essence saturates the sheets and you can hardly walk straight. So, you fully intend to bask in this intimacy for the rest of the train ride, taking your time kneading his torrid cock until you reach your destination. And by the looks of it, you have nothing but time to spare until then, the countryside lazily easing by.

I know you think I’m just using you.
The sudden re-imaging of Robert continues (first was the change in hairstyle) as he now willingly offers to help ‘mate’ (and manipulator) Sadie by using Katie as an unwilling source (all this driving Katie’s impending exit). In this episode, Sadie feigns tries to make peace with Katie (but it’s all for getting inside information on the Kings). Sadie sweet talking Robert (‘a friendly face’) by spouting her woes about Jimmy to the point Robert offers to help his mate if he can.

Winnie-The-Pooh Blood and Honey: The Liberating Hidden Message
Tumblr media
Just to make it clear, I am not going to watch the movie, but I still appreciate its hidden message, which is not only intelligent, but it is a wake-up call.
I absolutely adore Winnie the Pooh and even as a little girl, one of my favourite cartoons was The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh which was made during the time Disney actually still held its work to a high standard. Even the other absolutely adorable live action show Pooh Corner holds up as being sweet, cute and great for kids. To say Disney really did wonders for Winnie the Pooh is an understatement, but the operative word here is “did”. Now, the more modern Winnie the Pooh works do not feel like something out of a child’s imagination anymore which is depressing as that was the whole premise of Winnie the Pooh: he, his friends and the entire world was made up by a boy named Christopher Robin. Speaking of which, I find it disrespectful that the character Christopher Robin was dropped for a long time from the series and was only brought back later in a way that I feel did not honour him at all. At times, I felt like they were making fun of the guy and childhood in general which is sad. It is not just Winnie the Pooh who has fallen from grace either. A lot of modern Disney works lack any love behind them, and it shows because Disney is making new movies and shows way too often. Plus, they are made to please modern audiences instead of the intended audiences. Just look at how Disney+ has a new show or film almost every week. The only pocket that takes its time and it shows because it actually produces amazing work 90% of the time is the Star Wars franchise. Yes, it has flops, but you can count them on your fingers on one hand and even then, their flops tend to try harder than all of Disney’s other pieces as of late which includes the Marvel Universe.
But in the midst of all this, someone decided to come up with this;
Tumblr media
No one would think of making a Winnie the Pooh horror movie, but in its defense, has anyone thought of doing anything with Winnie the Pooh at all instead of waiting for Disney to do something new with it? There is a deep, dark yet liberating message behind this daring film and it is not about the bear;
Disney does not own Winnie the Pooh. Nor does it own Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, The Fox and the Hound, Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, Robin Hood or any of the princesses from classic literature. All of these pieces are public property meaning anyone is free to adapt them as they wish. The problem is that everyone has been too afraid to try because in the back of our minds, it will never compare to what Disney did.
This fear of touching something that always was free for us to use is crippling us and it is depriving future generations of a chance at seeing a classic tale be reimagined in a way that truly is amazing rather than as another empty cash grab. In other words, the true message behind Winnie-the-Pooh Blood and Honey is: take back our public property.
And believe it or not, when artists did, they made amazing things. The thing is not all of them are in the form of films (though some are). I could even recommend a list. And while they may not be giants like the Disney adaptations, they are worth your time and dare I say, better in some cases. Here are some of the non-Disney adaptations of classic tales I recommend.
Ever After: which is a reimagining of Cinderella that replaces all magic with feminist elements and get this; Leonardo Da Vinci is part of the main cast.
Gepetto: a webcomic adaptation of Pinocchio with a science fiction twist along with all kinds of other twists.
Megan Kearny’s Beauty & the Beast: a webcomic adaptation of the classic tale which takes on a more gothic tone and also explores the trauma behind the Beast’s life story.
Snow White and the Huntsman: a film where Snow White is on equal heroic footing with her “prince” and is a great watch if you love Lord or the Rings or Game of Thrones.
Beauty and the Beast (TV Series): a reimagined version of the classic where “Beauty” is a badass detective and “Beast” is a super-cyborg soldier making the setting more superhero like in all the fun ways.
Red Shoes & the Seven Dwarfs: a deconstructed version of Snow White where the dwarfs are the ones who actually need saving and it is the first ever version of Snow White to be plus sized.
Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp (1982 anime film): this film follows the original tale almost to the letter with a few differences.
Splash: a reimagining of The Little Mermaid that takes place in the 1980s which also happens to be one Tom Hanks’ best classic movies.
Ponyo: another reimagining of The Little Mermaid except the two main characters are children and it was made by Chibli Studios, so you know it will be high quality.
Penelope: the most unique reimaging of Beauty and the Beast there is because in this case, the titular character is both the Beauty and Beast.
Let us make the list even longer, friends. Let us take back our public property. Let us stop comparing our work to Disney before we have even written it.
EDIT: Demon’s Mirror: I forgot about this one. This is a reimagining of The Snow Queen which is no Frozen. I would classify it as a horror-adventure that does not shy away from body horror, trauma and fates worse than death.

Summary:
The monk Tang Sanzang finds himself as a giant in a city in India. His master congratulates him on reaching India and retrieving the Sutras, and gives him a halo as a reward. The halo, however, malfunctions and Tang awakes from his dream to find himself in an alley in a village of circus performers with his three disciples: Sun Wukong; Zhu Bajie; and Sha Wujing. Tang encourages Sun Wukong to perform for the villagers, but the disciple refuses. Angered by this stubbornness, Tang provokes Sun Wukong by calling him a "bad monkey", which causes Sun Wukong to smash the village and damage the villagers' homes in his temper. The terrified villagers present the group with money and food for their travels, but Sun Wukong continues wreaking havoc, sending Zhu Bajie and Tang flying through the air. That night, Tang whips Sun Wukong for his disobedience.
The next morning, Tang goes to find water for their breakfast congee and comes across a house. Its host, a beautiful woman in a splendid outfit, welcomes them all in for breakfast with her companions. Sun Wukong, however, sees through their disguises as spider demons; he purposely provokes them until she and the others show their true form. During the subsequent battle, the demons come together to form one huge spider. After being poisoned by the spider, Sha Wujing falls ill and slowly bloats into a fish-like creature. Sun Wukong defeats the spider and Tang attempts to exorcise her, but Sun Wukong smashes in the demon's head with one blow. Once more, Tang is annoyed at Sun Wukong's disobedience and whips him again that evening. Later that night, the enraged Sun Wukong discusses with the other disciples his plans to kill Tang, but the others fear Tang's mighty Buddha Palm powers. Tang overhears this conversation and prays to Buddha to help him and also confesses that he actually does not know, or have, Buddha Palm powers. Zhu Bajie overhears this admission and tells Sun Wukong, who challenges Tang to a fight. Just as Sun Wukong is about to strike, a blinding ray of light shines from the heavens and he retreats.
The next day, the group pass into the capital city of the Biqiu Kingdom and a minister comes out to greet them and bring them to see the king: an immature and childlike man who likes to play games. The king orders Tang to perform for him but the monk does not have anything to showcase. Sun Wukong therefore pastes an "obedience sticker" on Tang allowing Tang to copy his actions and perform stunts for the king. Sun Wukong, however, goes too far and makes Tang slap the king continuously, who throws them all out. Tang orders Sun Wukong to return and apologize, but it is revealed that Sun Wukong purposely provoked the king to make him reveal his form as the demon Red Boy. They fight and Sun Wukong defeats Red Boy, also freeing the true king of Biqiu from his cage under the throne. As a reward for helping him, the king presents them with a beautiful girl, Felicity, to accompany them on their travels. As Felicity dances for them, Tang is reminded of his deceased lover, Duan.
The group set off and on the way, Sun Wukong realizes that Felicity is actually a demon. In the meantime, Felicity takes out the nose plugs on Sha Wujing, allowing him to sneeze out the poison and turn him back into his human form. Tang, however, does not believe him, so they set off to visit Felicity's home village. Sun Wukong becomes enraged with Tang's lack of trust in him and that night he destroys the whole village, killing everyone. Tang stops him from killing Felicity, further angering Sun Wukong, who attacks Tang, but Felicity finally confesses that she is actually the demon White Bone Spirit and that the whole village was an illusion conjured by her. Sun Wukong flares up and turns into a giant Monkey King demon and swallows Tang. At that moment, the minister and Red Boy arrive and see Sun Wukong has fallen for their trick.
They had deliberately sent Felicity with the group to cause strife between Tang and Sun Wukong, so Sun Wukong would kill his master. Sun Wukong spits Tang out, however, as they had known this all the while; they only played along so that the minister would reveal her true form. They battle and the minister creates an illusion of Buddhas surrounding Sun Wukong, using them to fight him. The real Buddha, however, uses his giant palm to destroy the false Buddhas and reveals the minister's real identity as the Immortal Golden Vulture.
After the battle, Tang heads back to find a dying Felicity. He has no choice but to free her soul as there is too much demon in her. Before she dies, Felicity asks Tang if he loves her. Tang replies that he has only one person in his heart. The animosity between Tang and Sun Wukong has finally dissolved; together with Sha Wujing and Zhu Bajie, they continue their journey to the West through a desert.
In a post-credits scene, breaking of the fourth wall is invoked with the appearance of a modern movie theater, where theater employees tell both the viewer and the in-story audience that it’s time to leave and there is no post-credits scene

Also I am doing soft redesigns for the trio!
Tumblr media
So I took a fashion history class and because I love history, I’ve redesigned my trio so they are a bit more 'purposeful' in their designs. (Nothing too big is changing)
Starting with my favorite: Basil Hallward!
I wanted Basil’s design to be painfully normal, sans his hair. He wears a standard three piece suit, even using a frock coat, which, though still popular, would have begun to phase out when around the time I headcanon the story to take place (1890). Another detail is the colors he wears: Basil chooses plain colors—which was expected of the men in his time, but goes the extra mile by forgoing any patterns or designs. Basil is also very stiff in his posing—he is desperate to conform (especially in TLG after being outed against his will). I also tried to make him more masculine leaning, but idk whether or not that was successful---I don't understand gender tbh. For Basil, the greatest thing he can do is blend in with the crowd.
Still his long hair points to a desire outside of what's deemed for him—but even that has been tamed to conformity. Basil’s hair is styled so it doesn’t draw attention. By wearing it up, it is both practical and conforms as much as possible. This design would be for chapters 1-5.
I personally have my Basil as half-French (from his mother’s side). French was his first language, but he got bullied for it when he was young, so he kept practicing an English accent until the French accent went away. Now when he opens his mouth, Basil is violently English. A big bonding moment between him and Henry was when Henry (trying to be cool) spoke French to Basil, which then made Basil immediately talk in fluent French for the next hour. Henry caught 30% of the conversation.

Inspired to create
Small post
I plan on creating a novella after finding myself inspired by @bandages-andobsessions post about their unique idea of a Frankenstein reimagining.
Tumblr media
I have a short prologue penned that has expanded on a snippet I made for this prompt originally here.
The plan going forward is to try and release a chapter or two every fortnight. I will definitely need to do research on things like medicine and science of the time; as well as to actually find some way of consuming the original piece in some fashion.
