Nika reincarnated and the King of Hell.
I don’t know how many of you are Zelda fans but Luffy being the sun god Nika could go crazy hard with the Skyward Sword storyline.
For those of you who have not played Skyward sword no worries I’m changing enough of the plot it won’t matter to much
Let’s say there is the legend of Nika. A legend pass down of the sun god who came to earth to liberate slaves and return joy and freedom to the world.
Most of the texts has been lost but the oral tradition keeps the story alive. However it is not a totally accurate account.
They tell the story of Nika’s exploits on Earth. Including his help from other gods/angels/deities.
But the most famous tale is the story of Nika’s fight with the King of Hell. The fight to free the people of this world. Nika was able to seal away the King of Hell but was fatally wounded as a result of the fight.
However the truth version this tale had been lost to time. The current version is missing quite a lot of detail. Including the fact that Nika, perhaps knowing he would be needed again or just wanting to be with his friends and loved ones once more, sacrificed his immortality so that his soul could reincarnate as a human.
Thousands of years later Luffy is born.
After Luffy unlocks Gear 5 he starts to get these weird visions or feelings. It starts out while he’s sleeping but he’s starting to get them while he’s awake. It’s starting to worry the crew. One minute he will be standing there talking to them and then the next his eyes are locked on the horizon, but they aren’t really seeing anything and he’s not responding to their calls.
It’s only for short periods of time, and Luffy tries to brush them off with the crew, but he’s really starting to freak out. Because he’s seeing things that he does not remember happening.
When they arrive on the next island Luffy gets separated from the others. Maybe a cult follower of Nika. Maybe an old friend, someone who already remembers their past life with Nika and is here to help Luffy as he unlocks his memories. (Maybe Shanks or Sabo, someone Luffy would willingly go with and trust them when they say his crew will be fine)
Meanwhile, while Luffy is going on a journey of self discovery, the crew is losing their minds
Specifically Zoro. He’s been having weird dreams since Enies Lobby when he unlocked his Asura form for the first time. They were few and far between but they always freaked him out because why was he fighting Luffy in those dreams?
It’s been getting worse since he’s had Enma. Every night since picking up that sword he’s been having weird dreams. Something that used to happen once a month at most is now a nightly occurrence. And then when he unlocked the title King of Hell he started getting them in the day. And he’s starting to freak out. Because he’s starting to remember their previous lives. But nothing makes sense. There are some memories where Zoro?Asura? and Luffy?Nika? Seem to act like they do now, there are some memories where they seem closer (memories that make his cheeks burn) but there are also memories where they seem to be at each others throats and fighting to the death. But that seems to be only one memory, the one memory that won’t leave him alone.
And he’s been wondering for weeks if Luffy has been remembering to. If the pauses where he zones out are actually him being plaguing by visions to. But he’s to scared to ask, because what if the only memory Luffy has of past Zoro is them fighting? Or what if Luffy isn’t seeing visions and Zoro is just crazy?
And now Luffy has gone missing and they need to find him but they keep getting to him to late. Luffy’s moved on to the next temple, next location, and they are always just a step behind their captain.
(Note other crew members are remembering things from their past lives as well. I haven’t placed them all yet but they were definitely around with Nika in the past. Now what roll they played is up for debate. A different god/ one of Nika’s angels/ or just a person who was loyal to Nika in the past, someone he liked enough to tie them to his soul when it reincarnated.)
Once they reunite Luffy and Nika have fully merged. The crew can tell he’s different. But they don’t have long to talk. Something is coming. Whatever happened in the past is about to come again and Nika has to hold it off until the crew is ready to fight. (Till they remember what he does) he goes to do this but swears to them that no matter what happens or what they remember he’s still their captain, he’s still their Luffy.
And the he’s gone again. Somewhere they can’t follow this time. Not until they remember. Not until their enemy is defeated.
As they go on their quest they all start to remember different parts of the story. Which could lead to one of them (probably Sanji) remembering the final fight between Asura and Nika. But he has no other context so it just lead to him and Zoro fighting because he thinks Zoro is their enemy or at least he used to work for him, because Asura dealt the fatal blow to Nika which started this reincarnation crap.
It isn’t until they put the whole story together that they find out Asura was possessed when he fought Nika. It was an unseeable betrayal because it wasn’t a betrayal. Once Asura delt the fatal blow to Nika he snapped out of it. He followed Nika’s decision to sacrifice his immortality in the hopes that they could be together again.
The main enemy is probably Imu. An ancient deity who Nika sealed the powers of long ago. Enough time has passed that the deal has weakened and that is way Luffy has to hold the seal while his crew gets their memories back.
I love Zelda and I think this could be a lot of fun taking elements of both skyward sword and Tears of the kingdom to make it work.
Obviously the whole crew had their roles in the past life. So did Ace, Sabo, Shanks and others
I kinda like the idea of Shanks being Luffy’s guide to his memories while his crew runs interference with the Strawhats. One of the great parts of Skyward swords story is your always a step behind Zelda and Impa never lets you forget that you were to slow to save her. That if Impa wasn’t there Zelda would be dead, and Link would have been to slow and weak to stop it. The idea of Shanks crew (and maybe Mihawk) taunting the Strawhats with the fact that they are to slow or weak to protect their captain has a lot of drama to it. Luffy’s safe, Shanks’ wouldn’t let anything happen to him, but the fact that they (the Strawhats) are to slow to help him over and over has to hurt.
This could also work really well with Sabo in this position. Sabo helping Luffy with his memories while Dragon taunts the crew.
I also love the idea that for centuries Asura was blamed for Nika’s death and Zoro and the crew learning about it with no context. Zoro would lose his mind at just the idea that he could ever be the one responsible for killing Luffy in a past life. Of course it’s not the full truth as they later find out but that moment would be awesome.
Let me know what you guys think. I want to all about this more.

“Bless me,” Usopp begs. All of him is shaking. His voice, his hands, his shoulders and all down his spine. He is a wretched thing, curled and contorted like a sun-starved plant, made weak and small. “Bless me with courage, bless me with bravery — please, I can’t, I can’t —“
“Usopp—“
“Take my fear!” It’s a wild cry, all airless desperation. It’s the wailing of a worshiper with nothing to cling to but their faith. “Make me brave, fix me, I can’t keep being useless like this please, Luffy, please!”
“Usopp!” Luffy wrestles himself out of Usopp’s grip and drops to his knees and bundles his friend into his arms, the whole miserable package of him. Usopp doesn’t want to uncurl, but Luffy is stronger, and forces him upright enough to tuck his wet face into Luffy’s chest. Usopp burrows there, still crying, still begging. Luffy smooshes Usopp against him tighter until he starts to quiet down, rocks him back and forth a little like Makino used to do for him when he was still young.
“Usopp is dumb,” Luffy says into his hair. “I can’t give him something he already has.”
Usopp jolts, tries to wrench himself out of Luffy’s grip. It doesn’t really work, because Luffy just stretches with him, but Usopp still pulls back enough to look at him with his face all wet and flushed and awful-looking. “Don’t laugh at me!” It might have been a shout if his voice hadn’t cracked halfway through. Instead it just sounds like a sob. “Not you, I can’t — not you, Luffy. Don’t you brush me off, not you — you picked me. You chose me and I can do it, I can, I can get stronger, I can be better I just need help, please help me please…”
Luffy pulls him close again, because he doesn’t want to look at Usopps crying face and listen to him saying dumb things about himself that don’t even make any sense. “I picked you,” he echoes, because that’s true even if everything else was wrong. “I picked you.”
And then, like it’s being torn out of him, like it’s got barbs ripping him to ribbons on the way out, Usopp chokes “You picked wrong.”

Oh From Au Rising Sun
Scenario of how would Wano go...
King tribe was created by Nika and that why they have affinity to fire as they were blessed by their creator. Which had always had their own religion involving the sun which why they know about certain legend and story.
After Nika death the tribe soon had sperate themselves from human society going to the redlines.
But *cough* the stupid bi-I MEAN WG slaughter all of them expect missing some which lead to King being the last....(I feel horrible for King THE WG TOOK HIS TRIBE AND HIS FAMILY!!!) He swore to kill the celestial brats and help Kaido.
King still hold Nika is creator dear to him as he has a altar for him.
Then strawhat in Wano- lol
King immediately recognized Luffy godly aura and realizes his God is back
Instead of Luffy going to prison he end up in a glass cage being cared for by King since he doesn't want to loss him again.
Leading to his friend end up beating the sht out of the beast pirates commanders along with kid and heart pirates.
-
Grap, Shanks and Dragon come soon finding the most of the place tarnished, blood spill, multiple bodys and fire everywhere.
Okay so I just want to say....YES?
I was already planning to make the Lunarians related to Nika by creation but you made this even better.
King follow the faith with care and respect, he does his prayers at the sun rise and fall. He do offerings and sing songs, but he never expected see Nika in person so when he see Luffy was a shock because, yes he didn't has the white hair and red eyes Nika was know off but that was clearly his god.
When Kaido defeats him King managed to put Luffy into a glass cage, he couldn't handle the idea of losing his patron again, he knew Nika would hate this but at least he was safe, he was with someone who would protect him(at least in his mind). The thing is, King did this all with good intentions, but his mind was so disturb that he didn't thought how this was a terrible idea, how this hirted his god.
Luffy was indeed furious at this, the lack of freedom triggering him(Nika did died chained) but King wouldn't listen, not until Luffy had escaped and he was fighting Zoro

the salt & the sea. 25k zolu reincarnation au (introducing luffy’s new move the gomu gomu no emotional whiplash)
It’s like with Nami, hitting him full force, but it’s so much more than that as the reality of it all comes crashing down around him. Zoro, his (first mate, first friend in this world of pirates, first crew member and first one he swore an oath with), his – he isn’t even sure what to call him. There’s too much but too little to describe him.
Zoro. Zoro, who – no, no, no offense to Nami – should have been first. Zoro, who’s a constant, and he’s practically vibrating with the need to reach and touch him, make sure he’s really real. His tongue darts out to wet his lip as he steps forward, crowding into his personal space and finally grinning because I found you!
Luffy wants to call him an idiot, because it figures he would get lost finding his way home.
But Zoro just blinks at him, flushes, one eye still framed by a familiar scar and says, “Oh, sorry,” and makes it so much worse when he says, “Do I know you?”

acelu god reincarnation au where nika, the sun deity and king of the gods, fell in love with cerco, the demon king.
the relationship started like canon (meeting while young children, and with a one-sided enemy-type relationship on cerco's end), but after a while they became friends, and eventually fell in love. the other gods found it disgusting, and after banding together, killed cerco in nika's arms. nika wound up killing himself from grief, hence bringing the first eclipse.
eons later, two children are born, both unusual as they havent even eaten any devil fruits, yet have powers of gods long forgotten.
destiny sets their fate to repeat once more. though, this time, maybe thet can save one another.

So I had an idea fore the selkie goddess
What if she was originally a slave girl named Caethes who escaped by jumping into the sea. She meet the mermaid king and fell in love. Later she briefly joined joy boy (Nika) although they both had feelings for each other, Caethes refused to act on them since she was already married. (And unknown to her pregnant when she left)
Caethes is such a good name!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!
But she didnt have feelings for Nika because Nika was annoying and apathetic and didn't really change until after she'd died when the other races started capturing torturing and enslaving her people. Nika only became the drums of revolution to protect her legacy, but she never got a chance to see that

ASL get reincarnated as warrior cats au
This AU has 4 alternate clans: FireClan (the main one, whose territory is in the forest), CaveClan (territory is well, caves), AirClan (territory is open crags and cliffs) and LakeClan (territory is on an island in a lake). They're themed after the four classical elements (fire, earth, air, water).
Here's FireClan:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cougarheat and Dappledawn were the kits of loners/rogues, but they were found abandoned as very young kits by patrols, and raised in FireClan by Waspsun.
Crowfire came to the Clan at around 6 moons old. He belonged to a rich family that didn't like him and only got him because they won him in a contest and couldn't refuse him.
After Dappledawn recieves his warrior name, StarClan reveals to the three that they are reincarnations of Ace, Sabo and Luffy and that they are part of a prophecy with Paintedmoon.
Rednight is Paintedmoon's mother (I generated most of the cats in FireClan with an allegiances generator on Perchance, before using Felidaze's Warrior Cat Creator Picrew to create the designs from the descriptions, and the generator decided Paintedmoon had a stiff and quiet presence and called other cats "kid". I ended up taking Paintedmoon in a different direction, and I created Rednight to have those traits.), and Twitchingfawn is Reindeerpaw's parent.
Slatestepper (Fadingwing after Slatestepper joined the elders) was Cougarheat's mentor, Galeshell was Crowfire's mentor until his disappearance and presumed death, and Foxstar was Dappledawn's mentor.
Medicine cats having kits is not forbidden in this AU.
Edit: yes i am aware that the diagram has dappledawn's name switched around. just ignore it
Edit 2: lore change activate! dappledawn's parents are now apple and a loner named draco, also paintedmoon's father is not thistleface

The Sunshine Man has been with Luffy for as long as he can remember. So long, in fact, that Luffy has never thought to question where he came from, or where he goes when he’s gone. He is a fact of Luffy’s world, like the bugs that scuttle in the grass around Party’s Bar and the scent of salt off the ocean. As certain as the sun, there is The Sunshine Man.
He’s there when Luffy has bad dreams, singing without words or a voice to shape them, his fingers that aren’t fingers brushing through Luffy’s hair until the top of his head feels sun-warmed and he’s slipped back into sleep. He’s there when Luffy tumbles into the thorn bushes near Woop Slap’s house and gets covered in prickles, and he’s there when Luffy gets pinched really hard by a crab at the beach. He’s there when Makino has to work and Luffy can’t be in the bar and old Mrs. Kingston promised she’d watch him but she falls asleep on the couch and leaves Luffy all alone again like she always does. He’s there when Luffy can’t make friends and when his Gramps only spends three days in Foosha before leaving again (and when he spends all those days dragging Luffy up to the edge of the woods to make him fight Monkeys and then yelling at him when he loses).
When Luffy curls up in the back of the closet and buries his face in his knees and wonders if he disappeared how long it would take anyone to even notice, when Luffy cries and cries and can’t breathe and wants somebody to come hold him but Makino is busy and nobody else even cares and --
When Luffy needs him, The Sunshine Man is there. He doesn’t do much, really. He can’t talk to Luffy, because he doesn’t have a mouth, and he can’t give Luffy hugs, because he doesn’t have arms. But he is there and he loves Luffy like dawn loves the sleeping, and anyway it wouldn’t be fair to hold any of that stuff against him. He isn’t a real man, he is a man made of sunshine, and he keeps Luffy warm and chases away the shadows at night and is always there when Luffy feels like loneliness is a weight pressing down on his chest. Luffy loves The Sunshine Man with all his heart!
He tells him this sometimes, even though he knows The Sunshine Man already knows, because he likes to hear The Sunshine Man laugh. It isn’t a noise, and it doesn’t really come from The Sunshine Man. It’s like the whole world laughs for a minute, the sky bright and the waves frothing and the ground under Luffy’s feet bouncing-soft, trees reaching their branches down to cloak him in cool shade. The wind will tug playfully through Luffy’s hair, even if it was blowing the other way a second ago, and Luffy will laugh right along.
Luffy talks to Makino about The Sunshine Man sometimes. When she asks how he slept, he’ll tell her if The Sunshine Man came to sing to him. When she asks what he did that day, he’ll say The Sunshine Man came to walk along the beach with him, and helped him look for seashells. Makino says The Sunshine Man is Luffy’s imaginary friend, and Luffy figures that must be right. The Sunshine Man is not a real man, he is a man made of sunlight, and he lives inside Luffy’s mind. If Makino says that makes him imaginary, then she probably knows what she’s talking about.
When Luffy is six, the Red Hair Pirates come to Foosha. They don’t stay more than a few days before they leave for two weeks, but then they come back again. And again. Luffy likes the Red Hair Pirates. He likes Lucky Roux, who is always grinning and never shares his food but pretends he doesn’t notice when Luffy steals bites off his plate. He likes Yasopp, who tells him stories — mostly about his son Usopp, who’s about Luffy’s age. He likes Bonk Punch and Monster and the music they make.
He likes Shanks, even though Shanks picks on him all the time. He’s so cool, and he tells the best stories and he’s a real life pirate captain and Luffy is gonna be just like him when he grows up!
The Sunshine Man likes Shanks, too, Luffy thinks. It’s kind of hard to tell. The Sunshine Man doesn’t seem to really notice people most of the time, and when he does, it makes him really tired. Luffy knows The Sunshine Man likes Makino because one time when Luffy was really little a friend of hers went to sleep in the ground (died, but Luffy didn’t understand that at the time) and Makino was sad and tired for weeks, and The Sunshine Man went to sing to her one night the way he sang to Luffy.
She couldn’t hear him, because The Sunshine Man isn’t a real man, and he lives in Luffy’s mind, but The Sunshine Man sang without a voice or mouth, and he ran his fingers that aren’t fingers through Makino’s hair until the top of her head felt sun-warmed and she slipped back into sleep.
The Sunshine Man went away for a while after that, all curled up small in the back of Luffy’s mind like a little seed, but Makino was much happier the next morning, and The Sunshine Man came back after he’d gotten enough rest anyway.
The Sunshine Man doesn’t sing for Shanks or any of the other pirates, but he does pay attention to them like he doesn’t pay attention to anyone else. Luffy always knows the Red Force is coming into port hours before the ship can be spotted on the horizon, because The Sunshine Man can feel them coming. Luffy would go and see them anyway, but it’s fun, how The Sunshine Man flickers and glows in the back of his mind, urging him to run faster, faster.
Then comes the fruit.
Luffy can feel it coming closer, because The Sunshine Man can feel it coming closer. It starts as a restlessness in the middle of the night that has Luffy running in circles around his bedroom because he can’t sleep, and then by morning Luffy’s so excited his stomach is clenching. The Red Hair Pirates don’t even come into port until the next day, but Luffy spends that whole day and the following morning squirming with impatience and he doesn’t even really know why.
Shanks is bringing him something wonderful. Something that belongs to Luffy, and Luffy alone. It’s kind of a gift! Sort of. It’s not a gift from Shanks, because Shanks doesn’t know he’s bringing it to Luffy. It’s almost a gift from The Sunshine Man, sort of? But actually it already belongs to Luffy, so it can’t be a gift at all…
Luffy doesn’t understand, and The Sunshine Man can’t explain it because he can’t talk, but he doesn’t care because something amazing is coming Luffy’s way and he can’t wait!
When the Red Force does finally dock at Dawn Island, The Sunshine Man takes Luffy’s hand in his, and guides him through and around the crowd of pirates to a chest, and inside the chest is a round, dark fruit. It’s skin is the color of the sky right before dawn starts, blue-purple and hiding gold in the swirls. It gives under Luffy’s teeth like an apple, a crisp snap. It tastes...
Later, Luffy won’t remember what it tasted like. He’ll tell people it was gross, because Devil Fruit are yucky and so his Devil Fruit must have tasted yucky, and he won’t think about it any deeper than that.
In the moment, Luffy swallows bite after greedy, starving bite, and his mouth is full of citrus, tart and sweet. It tastes like oranges and star fruit and kiwi, and it drips juice down his chin and forearms that he chases with his mouth. There’s something almost savory to it, under the sweet and tart. Something rich and… coppery. The juice puddles on the floor, red and dark. The last few bites are warm and tender and pulsing under Luffy’s teeth.
Luffy forgets all about The Sunshine Man, after that.

Ok so I have been stewing this crossover au in my brain nonstop for the past few days and. I am nothing if not committed to the bit, so. Volume cover redraws :)
Here are the originals:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you want to read more about my one piece spy x family crossover, keep reading!
So the idea is simple! Crossover reincarnation au where ASL is reborn in Spy x Family. They’re each born separately and none of them are born with the same names as their previous lives, and with no way of finding each other, they each find their own thing to do in the world.
Sabo, too used to the dangers of being a spy, eventually finds a cause to devote himself to again, in preventing war from engulfing the country he was reborn in. Ace, drawn to fire as he was in his previous life, used arson as a means to rob rich people for sustenance and survival, and is eventually scouted and hired by Garden as a fire specialist and assassin. And Luffy, though born in perhaps the poorest condition, grows up happily and takes whatever part time jobs he wants to do.
The thing about Sabo is that, as much as he seems like a young man of good repute and high standing within society, everyone in WISE knows that he is a massive nuisance. Nobody knew in the beginning how a child less than half the age of most of their veteran agents could have the same skills and knowledge in their profession. Sabo was— and still is— hyper competent, and by the time WISE figured out just how much of a menace to society he was, it was too late.
Ace forgot for the first few years of his new life that he wasn’t made of fire, and consequently, received multiple accidental burns. This did not deter him, however, from growing up to be a very skilled arsonist, well-practiced in every which way to start a dumpster fire or house fire. As a teenage he would use this often to draw attention as he robbed rich people blind. When he was caught, he was given an ultimatum by Garden: join them and receive payment for starting fires and causing problems under contract, or face the government and authorities for his crimes. Begrudgingly, he joined Garden, but eventually comes to appreciate that he can make substantial money in his element.
Luffy is Luffy. No telepathy or experimentation, no fancy schools, no gimmicks or secret identities. But he has still lived an extremely colorful life in this world, full of fascinating and kind individuals who have helped him grow up healthy and relatively happy. He goes where he is free, and he takes whatever part time jobs he wants in order to make the minimum he needs to survive.
Ace and Sabo find each other first, in their late teens, and neither of them realize that the other remembers their previous life, but both refuse to separate. (Sabo thinks Ace doesn’t remember, because Ace didn’t recognize him. Ace never saw Sabo grow up past 10, however, so he doesn’t recognize older Sabo immediately. By the time he does realize who exactly Sabo is, Sabo has backtracked and pretends to know Ace from a dream, or from somewhere else.)
Sabo’s attachment to Ace, predictably, causes problems between Sabo and WISE, but by then, Sabo is indispensable to the organization, and they make an exception for Sabo to be able to remain with Ace, so long as Ace never finds out what Sabo’s actual job is. Ace, on the other hand, hides his job because he doesn’t want his brother, who he has just found and who does not know Ace well enough yet, to know that he makes a living from killing people.
And they find Luffy sometime afterwards, prior to the beginning of the Spy x Family canon. Luffy figures out, not long after moving in with his brothers, both of his brothers’ secret occupations and the fact that both of them remember their past memories. He thinks it is common knowledge, however, and so he never brings it up.
