Thank you!! No, I've only posted one other even shorter ficlet for Holmes fandom so far. My mind is constantly swimming in h/c concepts and dialog etc, but I always feel like in order to be worth posting it has to be a Real Fic with a whole Plot and everything, and I'm just way too lazy for that shit!! Really I should just try posting more self-indulgent no-context snippets like this, turns out people will eat that shit up even if it's not a Real Fic lol.

i was thinking about that post comparing Jessica Rabbit as an asexual to Barbie and an asexual and then i thought of the Neil Gaiman post (was it a post?) about Crowley and Aziraphale being asexual sexless and then this happened.

Can you do me a favor? Next time you're stuck, try wiggling your toes and then trying to Get Up To Do The Thing and tell me whether or not it helps?

I have some half assed ideas about why this might work revolving around the possibility of being able to use smaller motions to build up the dopaminergic tone in the striatum of the brain. That's a major structure involved in both motivation and movement, both of which dopamine interact powerfully with. And it does seem to be useful for me, at least. But I can't figure out if that's some internal belief thing on my end or something more generally applicable, and I would love some help figuring out if this is useful for other people.

i had this interaction in the dropout discord (i am the first and third person). short. simple. i only got the first year bc of a discount + a gift card i had, so i was planning on using this person's suggestion.

then, i got this.

hours and hours later i was still thinking about it and i recalled how, in the email id gotten about it, it said "tao yang sent you a subscription" and id seen that and thought "oh haha like the tao yang" and then moved on

but now, thinking back, i was like.... theres no way, so i googled tao yang.

i don’t think we talk enough about declan being equally as down bad and ‘all or nothing’ with romance as ronan is. like yes ronan said he would start wars and burn cities for adam’s true smile, begged god for adam after he first saw him and fortuitously had all his objects of worship were in one downtown block etc but ronan had known adam atleast 18 months at this stage. whereas declan really risked it all to get tyrian purple overnight for a first date gift after ONE conversation…the man was discussing their marriage as a ‘when’ not an ‘if’ before we even saw them kiss like what’s his excuse lmaoo

No hate though ! ​you definitely picked up on the link between his androgyny (and consequent neoteny) and his lack of personhood.

He doesn’t get to have secondary sexual characteristics because that’d mean puberty, ergo adulthood, ergo autonomy. Growing up being gnc is never a choice for him so he grows to resent it. His story would be very different if he had been a girl.

I fear I may soon have to drop the adrien misogyny comic…
