I was thinking about how exactly the Royal Squad came to join the family, because adopting five clone cadets isn't exactly an impulse decision, and like

Fox interrupting Breha's schedule and approaching her as his queen, not his wife, and asking her for several million credits. And she knows that something is up because he's calling her Your Majesty and using corporate-speak and swearing to find some way to repay her. And neither of them are idiots, she knows there's nothing he can do to bring back that kind of cash no matter what job he gets.

So Breha, obviously, has questions. Maybe a thought or two in the back of her mind that Fox might not know what a spam email is. Fox is generally very calm and even-tempered so she wants to know what's going on and why he needs so much money.

Fox says that Kamino is going to sell off everything they can to recoup losses from the latest batches of clones that they're no longer being paid for. He says most of them will be sold to slavers. He says the ones that can't be sold will be killed. He says none of them are more than five years old. He says there's ten thousand of them and he knows it will be expensive, but he could never live with himself if he didn't find a way to save at least some of them.

Breha is weeping long before he's finished. She's seen his scars, she's heard him wailing with terror from nightmares, she's felt him flinch when she touches him without warning. She loves him, but she would do anything to change his past. She will do anything to spare his little brothers from the life that can never stop haunting him. She thinks of darling Leia, two years old and safely at home with Bail doting on her every move, and is sick at the thought of any baby being treated in the way Fox just described.

She gives Fox carte blanche to bring home every last child. He falls to his knees and kisses her hands, thanking her in jumbled words and eyes shining with tears. She has no regrets for the financial havoc she's just caused herself and will never let him repay her.

Fox brings home ten thousand and five children. He snarls at anyone who comes near the youngest, holding the runt of the litter his every waking moment, his hands always gentle but his eyes glaring a lethal warning. The legion of social workers deployed to help find homes for the children, well, they unanimously decide that that's someone else's problem.

(There's a bright spot in all this hustle and drama. As it turns out, selling children into the Core worlds... it's just so incredibly unbelievably illegal. Breha gets back every credit that Fox spent, and a reward for alerting the police to what the Kaminoans are doing. Clones have human rights on Alderaan, after all.)

Eventually, after several months of several thousand people working twelve-hour days, all ten thousand clone cadets have been placed with loving families all across the planet. There's still welfare checks and such to be done, but for now, everyone is safe, happy, and in no more danger from the Kaminoans.

This leaves five.

Fox finally goes home to the palace, after being one of those people working twelve-hour shifts, and says, "I adopted some. I didn't mean to."

Breha says, "I heard you cold-cocked someone for suggesting an adopted family for them on their third day here."

Fox has to say he did, yes, and he didn't mean to do that either, and he already apologised several times.

Breha smiles and says that Bail's been excited to meet them for weeks now, and won't Fox come to dinner?

Fox does come to dinner, and brings his tubies, far too nervous at the idea of leaving them with anyone else, even Leia's nannies. It doesn't surprise him when Breha is the first to bring it up.

"Bail and I talked about it, and we understand if you want to be their only legal parent. We know there's complexities around their adoption. Whatever support you want from us, you'll have it."

Fox doesn't expect his eyes to blur with tears, or for them to feel like tears of joy.

"Leia's my daughter," he whispers, "and these are your sons."

"Helio is a family name on my side, you know," Bail mentions. He smiles at the tubie in Fox's lap, who giggles and waves back with his little hand clenched around a green bean. Then Bail's gaze meets Fox's, and the fatherly love already in his eyes... it takes Fox's breath away.

"My parents once said that they planned to name me Vidal if I was a boy," Breha adds, and takes a sip from her glass. "Though I suppose some of them might have names already?"

Fox shakes his head. There were so many other things to be busy with that he's just been calling them by the last two digits of their CT numbers.

"I wasn't sure what to call them," he admits, "but I was sure you would love them."

They beam at that, and Fox manages to smile back, despite how exhausted he is from the past few months. There's still so much waiting in the future, but for tonight, he can take the time to breathe.

He falls asleep quickly that night, with his head in Breha's lap and her hand in his hair, Kit already fast asleep and curled into his side, listening to Bail read a bedtime story to all six of their tubies.

This is the first session of the Force Unleashed campaign for Star wars Saga edition. It starts with Grozchal Starkville, a Mandalorian being called to Coruscant by a contact of his adopted father. It turns out to be a Jedi named Master Alistair. He pretty much enlisted Grozchal into the Grand Army of the Republic and was given a squad of Clones. Royal Squad. Mand'alor, the leader. Ordo, the brawler and second in the squad. Gadget the tech specialist. Recon, the squad sniper. Heavy, the demolition expert. And Akaata, the heavy weapons specialist. They were sent to Ion 4 to destroy a weapon that would target clones. I believe it was a biological weapon. They crash land on the planet leaving the R2 pilot droid behind as they bailed out of the ship. They eventually take shelter with a farmer and his family though the farmer was reluctant about it. I believe they have a fire fight against some droids. They eventually find another farm house but everyone appeared dead. Grozchal explores the basement to find a person with a red lightsaber. But it actually was a white lightsaber made to look red from a red light behind the Jedi. She introduce herself as Padawan Helzi and thanks them for helping her. Grozchal informs her of his mission and she readily accepts. They make their way to the main facility and fight their way in. Grozchal split up the squad and faces of against the Transdoshan who was in charge of defense. He had gathered all the locals and was using them as a shield. Grozchal uses the Force, oh yeah I forgot to mention he's Force sensitive, and throws the Trando into the air where the AA guns target him and kill him. I personally thought it was funny. Anyway they evac the civilians and blow the facility. They liberate a separatist vessel and found the R2 and the wreckage in the hangar. Grozchal insist on bringing the droid back. The second team caught the scientist who created the bomb and brought her to the ship. I don't really remember how but she somehow gets out of her binds and tries to escape. Grozchal tries to stop her and she ends up hanging out the ship. She decides death is better than being a prisoner of the Republic so she drops down. Grozchal was upset that he couldn't keep her from dying but accepts it as part of war. He makes his report to the Republic and Helzi asks for him to be seen by the council. But not THE council. I made a lower council who he interacted with. And I'm pretty sure that's the end of the first session. I hope you enjoy it even if it is a bit sloppy.

🏷️ - How did they get their name?

Royal Squad is from an AU where Fox survives Vader and is whisked away to Alderaan, where he marries Bail and Breha. Yars later, when clone production is stopped, Kamino decides to sell off the remaining cadets to the highest bidder, and decommission whatever they can't sell. Fox hears about this and begs Breha for the money to try to save some of them. She gives him carte blanche to bring them all home.

Most of them are adopted by other Alderaanian families. Five of them are brought home by Fox. They're two years old, the same age as Leia, and he loves them so dearly. He didn't intend to adopt them but the littlest one wanted to be held and he couldn't bear to let them out of his arms. They're called Royal Squad because of their AU, and also because they're adopted by the royal family!

As for their individual names-

Bug: Insists he’s named after his favourite thing, and nobody can say no to those big brown eyes lbr. He’s very invested in all of Alderaan’s insect life. They get him an ant farm but that does not suffice. He keeps bringing home all the cool bugs he finds. Eventually they set aside a dedicated area for his zoo because none of them are exactly delighted to keep finding random insects all over the house. He names the first insect species he discovers after Fox. Fox is 99% sure it’s a compliment but that other 1% makes him wonder for a while. He is extremely picky about his clothes because sometimes textures are evil and he will cry if it’s bad enough. Breha always takes him with her when she goes clothes shopping and they have matching bracelets.

Jaonyc [jai-ON-eesh]: In this AU, Fox isn’t very connected to Mando culture, since Jango and the Cuy'val Dar weren’t exactly great role models. But he likes the sound of the word and it’s certainly accurate. The other tubies sometimes call him Jai for short but Fox always uses his full name to emphasise how important his kid is to him. Jaonyc also hates lightning so the two of them hide out together during storms. Bail lets them modify a spare room to be a hideout - soundproof with no windows and a surround-sound system for music. Jaonyc loves music so Fox always has their favourites ready, and something new to take their minds off the storm.

Yancy: An absolute sweetheart, through and through. He’s constantly begging to visit the beach house on weekends because he loves the ocean. He’s scared of sharks and slimy seaweed, though, so one of his parents has to be nearby to watch out for him. Fox and Bail will carry him on their hip to protect him from the seaweed. Breha loves collecting shells with him. (All three of them keep a very close eye on him the entire time they’re at the beach. He can swim all right, but he’s still a toddler.) Bug’s collection also scares him a little. Fish are perfect and have no legs, so clearly anything with 6+ legs is the opposite of perfect. He also likes to draw even though he’s not very good at it.

Helio: The quietest of the bunch, he’s named after Bail’s grandfather. He would much rather cuddle up to one of his parents and have them read to him, than go chase bugs or fish or whatever. Sometimes when Breha and Bail don’t have any meetings, they’ll let him sit in their laps and read paperwork to him. He understands none of it but he loves being included. He does love limmie, though, and watches every game that the Alderaanian teams have. Breha is also a fierce supporter of the team, and the game as a whole. She arranges for the two of them to go on a week-long trip to hang out at the spring training ground every year. Helio cries when he gets to meet Cael Hanarist for the first time.

Vidal: Breha’s parents were going to name her Vidal if she was a boy, which she mentioned when Fox started looking for baby names. Even though he doesn’t have to be a soldier any more, he’s a scrapper through and through. He’s very protective of his siblings, even Kit who’s ten years older, and Leia who’s as fiery as he is. Fox personally oversees every second of Vidal’s training. He bases some of it on what he was taught himself as a cadet, but he’s much gentler with Vidal. He loves his boy too much to put him through the kind of suffering Kamino always caused. Once Fox finally gets used to Alderaan having so much nature, he and Vidal go on a lot of day hikes. They call it training but they both know i’s not, actually, and they just enjoy hanging out together. They always take the same kind of orange for part of their lunch and it becomes their mutual favourite fruit. Eventually he brings home a songbird with a broken wing to ensure it gets good medical care, and it and its mate nest outside his bedroom for years.

Notes: This was truly a labour of love and I had such a great time writing it! I've watched RWRB no less than 50 times and read the book over three or four times at this point and every single time, all I can think about is how drarry-coded Alex and Henry are. This fic is HEAVILY inspired by Casey McQuiston's work and combines some of my favourite parts from both the book and the movie, adding back in some quintessential characters like June, who were unforgivably erased from the narrative for the film. Thank you to my partner E and my good friend T for the support and encouragement throughout the entire process, I couldn't have finished this without you guys. And a HUGE thank you to the LCD mods for their hard work in running this spectacular fest!

Summary: Prince Draco Malfoy is known all over the world as “The Modern Day Prince Charming”, ask anyone - well, anyone except for Harry Potter, first son of the Indian president and (self) sworn rival of said stuck-up, snobbish prince.

StarCanWreckedPulp Fan Rewards For Palestine??

While I'll be keeping this blog name and logo for the next couple of weeks so that all of you who already follow this blog know who I am, I'm thrilled to announce that we'll soon be rebranding to what I hope will become a yearly, or even biannual, communal charity drive for the online StarCanWreckedPulp fan fam to come together for a chosen cause! For this inaugural run, I have decided to raise money for Palestine and other peoples suffering genocide. In order to gain the rewards that will be offered by the event, people will simply have to submit screenshot proof that they have donated to a fundraiser supporting victims of genocide.

As part of the event, I will be doing a giveaway in which the winner will be able to chose any one item from the official Starkid, TCB, or Shipwrecked stores to get for free. While this will be the Grand Prize, I hope to have a couple of other prizes up for grabs as well.
