I want there to be a moment where Batman brings up the Joker and Ruby's like "Having a nemesis sounds exhausting. Imagine having one specific psycho declare themselves your designated biggest pain in the butt and devote their life to destroying you. I'm glad I don't have anything like that." And then somewhere in Remnant Cinder Fall doubles over as if stung in the heart by some unseen force.

Finally got around to watching the RWBY/ JL part 2 movie and I absolutely loved Ruby and Superman's scenes together. It not only serves as a really cool continuation of Ruby's development right after v9 but it also shows us how she still holds her own mom in such a high pedestal that she doubts even if she will be able to make it out of her fight with Salem alive or not.

Having her say this to superman is just so freaking good in an ironic sense because he above all else would understand the fear of not living up to expectations of those who came before you. To live by their examples and fear that youre own failures will somehow tarnish the legacy they left behind. His whole entire philosophy has been to set an example of how much good one person is capable of, and that stems from the teaching not only from his adoptive family, but also his biological kryptonian one. Where they might have failed does not define his future successes and he uses the good that they have done in order to inspire him to continue fighting for what they believed, even after they are gone.

Having superman play this sort of big brother role for ruby and helping her ease her anxieties and show her that she does more than enough to maker her mom proud was just so important to me and I love how the movie handled these two together.

God look at Alyx. I love this design.

Her eyebrows? Her lips? Her curly hair? Congrats, CRWBY, she's gorgeous.

Also, I really appreciate that while CRWBY know how to ignore stupid hate, they do listen to constructive criticism. Last volume, someone pointed out that people with darker skintones have lighter hand palms, and they have listened: look at Alyx's hands, they're properly shaded. They also did this in Arrowfell. Also, some fans also people wished there was more variety in hairstyles for black characters beyond straight hair, and they've also listened! Look at Roane in Arrowfell, or at Vixen and Cyborg in the JL movie crossover.

They do listen and try to get better, and that's something I appreciate because like. Also look at them, they look amazing.

the reaction that folks online are having to the rwby/justice league movies are very hilarious. it’s a buncha folks with rocks and paranoia for brains not accepting the most obvious information as stated by the people involved in the production

fans: these movies ate into V9!

Kerry, Arryn, and Eddy: actually they didn’t, we [RT] funded the season and WB funded the movies

fans: they’re being forced to do them!

Kerry: no, I asked if we could do them cuz I wanted to keep some of our staff employed, turn more people onto the show, and get us some filmmaking experience under our belt

fans: but why would WB agree to this when they cancel so much???

WB: dude, we pump out like 4 animated DC movies a year for the straight to DVD market, this is basically like chewing gum for us

Ooh. Yang switching from cool team mom mode to tough love team mom mode for the first time since Burning The Candle. She's gonna use Ruby's full name at some point in this movie I can feel it, then we're all in for it.

Considering how some people are worried about whether we'll get volume 10, this line Ruby says feels very appropriate and fills me with a bit of hope.

This may be my not very popular opinion but I hate most spin-off products that rwby makes Number 1: Ice Queendom and the crossovers with DC, Both crossovers were created to make money and nothing else and my hate comes from the simple facts and that they want to make these crossovers canon or semi-canon, But make this spin-off fuck the issue of timeline and development of rwby, A good example is weiss from ice queendom being racist towards faunus to have a dream for her to no longer be racist and then she continues to be so.

Spin-Offs are kinda hit or miss for me.

I LOVED Ice Queendom. RWBY was really good in the anime style, though the plot did get a little eh for me.

DC is something I am VERY not okay with. I haven't seen the RWBY/Justice League specials yet, but just from what I read from the RWBY comics, it feels... off. Like, they make Ruby way too edgy with her "baby bird" speech. They just... don't feel like RWBY.

I never played Grimm Eclipse, though I've watched playthroughs now and then (but only for like two characters because the dialogue is all pretty much the same). I played and LOVED Amity Arena, and I am very upset that they didn't continue for some reason. I want to play RWBY Arrowfell, but I can't because it was only for a limited time from a specific website and I was too late to get a physical copy (PHYSICAL MEDIA IS FOREVER, BUY LASERDISK!).

I've heard about the Grimm Campaign, but I haven't seen anything actually physical that can be bought, not even a freaking guidebook. I have Combat Ready! ...but no friends to play it with.

World of Remant was... a thing. I will say that. Which leaves...

The best thing Rooster Teeth has ever made. I remember a video that criticized RWBY Chibi as "a series that uses the main series characters better in every way". Seriously, Rooster Teeth, THIS IS HOW YOU SAVE RWBY! JUST MAKE MORE CHIBI! WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?!
