Send 🍼 to see how my muse would react to being handed a baby
[ Valentino + Mammon ]
"Hey, babe," Mammon snickered as he plopped the baby on Valentino's stomach, startling him from his mid-afternoon couch nap, "You got this for a bit? Daddy's got business shit to do."
"You sound like Vox," Huffing, Valentino wrapped his lower arms around his daughter while his upper left hand yanked his eye mask up. Squinting up at the Sin standing above him sporting a grin, he snarled, "What makes you think I'm not busy?"
"You have a baby, Val. You can't be busy." His chiding tone didn't do anything but leave Val frowning more, and Mammon only offered him a deep, belly laugh, "Don't look at me like that, Dollface. Daddy'll be back, Vanny can wait for me for ten minutes."
"You'll be gone for a few hours."
"At least, yeah." Mammon shrugged noncommittally, "I got a show, and I ain't her only parent."
"It's your fucking night to have her!" Val growled, cradling the baby against his stomach as she babbled against him, reaching up with one hand to tug on his fur, "N-no, Vanny, no tirar." (No pulling)
"I'll take her back this weekend, okay? I got shit to do."
"Don't saddle me with a baby every damn day this week." Sitting up finally, he held Vanemma against his chest and pouted, "What am I supposed to do when Voxxy shows up?"
"She has her own room, it's fine." Mammon shrugged, "Just find a way to deal with it. I gotta jet." With that, Mammon was out the doors before Valentino could stop him, leaving him squinting after the Sin as he left. Starting to gently rock the baby, he sighed.
"I guess we get to see more of each other this week." Smiling softly, he pet her little bald head and leaned back into the couch.

how about spencer x badass reader and they are wearing couple or similar clothes intentionally or unintentionally?? I think that would be cutee
tysm for requesting ♡ fem!reader
"Are you kidding me?" Derek asks, sounding like a kid in a candy store, a crisp twenty in his back pocket.
Emily follows his line of sight and feels her cheeks apple unbidden, a delighted smile on her painted lips. "Oh, my god."
"Yeah, Garcia?" Derek asks, phone to his ear, Penelope first on his speed dial. "You need to come and see this. Like, right now. Don't worry, baby, just come and see it for yourself."
"I don't even know what to say." Emily stares at you.
You usually dress in line with the other women in this profession: pants that aren't too tight so you can run in if needed, a simple blouse, and a blazer if you're feeling formal.
Today, you've opted for something softer. It was a slow change, one day you were wearing a cashmere sweater, thin and fitted to your form. Another day, you chose to layer your shirt with a cardigan of a similar colour.
Right now? You're all Spencer. Your slacks remain unchanged but your blouse has been swapped for a shirt with a stiff starched collar and layered under what can only be described as a grandpa sweater. It's not quite ugly, but it's almost identical to Spencer's.
What's more, you've swapped your boots for converse.
Spencer holds the door for you. He's chosen to wear a tie at least, clinging to that last strand of professional business attire. He has two coffees, one in each hand, while you carry a box. He's all elbows as he talks to you, and you, ever his fan, follow every word with a fond smile.
"Hey, are you guys sharing a wardrobe now?" Derek asks, absolutely unwilling to hold back.
Emily piles on, "It's cute! You're totally an old married couple, you look like my grandparents."
"What happened to your boots, lovergirl?" Derek asks, nodding at your cons, arms crossed over the back of his chair casually. "Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the sneakers."
"You guys totally match," Emily coos. "You could be on a Christmas card."
You smile —you smile, Emily might just call the news— and walk past them to your desk. Hotch has moved you away from Spencer knowing you'll encourage his endless chattering, which places you on a different island of desks next to Anderson and Agent Camille.
Spencer put his coffee down on his desk, taking off his messenger bag. "Nice going, guys. She brought you donuts. You know, to apologise for calling you both antagonistic losers yesterday," he says, smiling at the mutual horror that crops up on their faces. "The fancy kind, too. She knew your favourite flavours without asking."
From her desk, Emily can see you've opened the box and offered them to your desk mates, your expression unperturbed. "Just don't touch the chocolate sprinkle ones, they're for Spencer," you say.
No matter what they say, how sorry they sound, you give out the donuts to anyone who'll take one until they're all gone. When Garcia arrives, she finds you sitting in your desk chair with your head leaning against Spencer's stomach, taking alternate bites of the same sprinkle-covered donut like it isn't the most domestic, coupley thing you could be doing.
Unlike Emily and Derek, Penelope genuinely thinks you look cute. "You guys are like Brangelina," she breathes, eyes wide, her smile infectious.
Spencer fails to hide a grin, his hand on your shoulder. You're better at controlling your emotion, sliding a small parcelled package across the desk toward her.
"Thank you, Pen," you say. "I like the shoes. They're comfy. And the sweater was a gift." Spencer nods enthusiastically.
That explains why you'd taken such an offence. Anything to do with Spencer raises your hackles. If you felt someone was making fun of his present to you, you'd defend him with your last dying breath, or, in this instance, punish your coworkers in his honour.
"I'm sorry," Derek apologises again, "I was kidding! What do you want me to do, you want me to wear a sweater vest too? I can do that."
You reach back to touch Spencer's side, levelling Derek with an impartial look. Not mad, not sad. Totally indifferent. "That could be a good start."
Spencer hums. "I think so. You wanna borrow one of mine?"
The barest hint of a smile plays on your lips. "That's generous, Spence. You're a philanthropist."
"I am." He strokes the slope of your sweater-clad shoulder proudly. "You know me, I love sharing my wardrobe."

Steve is running late for work.
And not just a little late either. More like, catastrophically late.
Like, ‘should’ve left his house ten minutes ago to even hope to make it on time’ kind of late.
Why?
There isn’t just one reason for how that happened- it’s been a series of mishaps that started with his alarm not going off this morning and ended with his car refusing to start.
“Because of fucking course!” Steve groans, twisting the key into the ignition a few more times before giving up.
After a string of creative curses and smacking his palms and his forehead against the wheel multiple times in frustration, he leaves his useless car and goes back to the house. As he crosses his driveway, he tries to think of ways to get himself to work.
First, he thinks of Nancy. He knows she’s giving Robin a ride to work today, but she’s probably dropped her off by now, punctual as she is. He has no way to reach her until she goes back home, and he’s pretty sure she mentioned something about hitting the library after dropping Robin off to do research for one of her articles for The Weekly Streak, so asking her for a ride isn’t an option.
Considering Steve’s only other friends are all fourteen-year-olds with no car and no license, he’s out of any other options pretty quickly after that.
If only he had a bike he could use, but the Harringtons got rid of those years ago. He could call Henderson and ask him to ride his bike here so Steve can take it to work. The kid will probably complain, but he owes Steve for the countless rides to the arcade and to Eddie’s trailer for their nerdy campaigns and-
Eddie!
Eddie has a car!
Eddie is Steve’s friend and he has a car!
After that realization hits, Steve rushes to the phone, dialing the number to the Munson’s trailer, which he memorized at some point during the last couple of weeks.
“Please, don’t be asleep. Please, pick up,” Steve mutters as the phone rings, tapping his foot anxiously against the floor. His eyes flick to the digital clock on top of the TV and he groans. God, he’s so late.
“Ugh, hello?” A sleepy voice asks and Steve sighs in relief. Finally, something going his way this morning.
“Eddie! Oh, thank God!”
“Fuck, man, why are you being so loud this early in the fucking morning?” Eddie grumbles, and Steve feels bad for clearly waking him up. Or he would if he had time to feel bad.
“Sorry, sorry, listen, I need a favor, I need you to pick me up and take me to work, my car won’t start and I’m supposed to be at Family Video in- crap, right now actually.”
“Dude-”
“Eddie, please. I have the keys and Robin can’t get in until I get there and she’s going to kill me-”
“Steve, relax, Je-sus!” Eddie interrupts.
“Please,” he repeats, feeling desperate. “If you do this, I’ll do anything you want.”
Eddie hums. “Anything, huh?” He asks in that low voice that always sends shivers down Steve’s spine. Even now, he can feel them, anxious as he is.
God, he really doesn’t have time for this.
“Munson,” Steve hisses.
“Okay, fine, I’ll do it. I’ll be there in ten.”
Steve winces, but he doesn’t say anything. It’s not like he can ask Eddie to disregard speed limits or traffic lights or other cars just so he gets here faster, the last thing he wants is for him to wrap his van around a tree because of him. “Okay, thanks.”
“Sure thing, sweetheart,” Eddie says before hanging up.
Since Steve has ten minutes before he gets here anyway, he gives himself one to get flustered over Eddie calling him that.
Then he uses the remaining nine to make Robin her favorite snack- peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which she claims taste better when Steve makes them. It’s probably an excuse so Steve makes them for her every time, but right now it works in his favor. She’s going to be pissed when Steve shows up late- he can’t even call the video store to let her know he’s on his way! Not when she’s locked outsid e because Steve has the god-damned keys. He hopes the sandwiches will help soften her up at least.
He’s already in the driveway when Eddie’s van rolls around the corner. As soon as it slows down, he jumps in and tells him to “Go!” without saying even saying hello.
Eddie snorts. “Good morning to you too, Harrington,” he says with an amused half-smile, but he starts driving. Eddie isn’t a slow driver by a long shot, but Steve notices that he still steps on the gas a little harder than he normally would, which he appreciates.
He slumps back onto the passenger seat. “Sorry, hi, thanks for doing this.”
“No problem, man,” Eddie says, taking his eyes off the road for a moment to look Steve up and down. “Looks like you had quite the morning.”
Steve blows out a puff of air, running a hand through his hair. It probably looks like a mess right now because not only did he not have enough time to complete his routine, he’s also been anxiously running his fingers through it all morning. “You have no idea! First, my alarm didn’t go off so I had to rush through my shower and didn’t have enough time to fix my hair, then I couldn’t find my vest, then my car keys, and when I finally found those, my fucking car wouldn’t start!” He drops his hands on his lap with a huff.
“Sheesh, man,” Eddie says, somewhat sympathetically.
“Yeah!” Steve agrees as his hands start flailing again. “And now, Robin is gonna be pissed at me all day for being late, and for leaving her waiting outside the store.”
Eddie reaches over with one hand, squeezing Steve’s shoulder. “I’m sure she’ll forgive you quickly enough, Birdie can’t stay mad at anyone for long.”
“Um, yeah,” Steve stammers out when Eddie’s hand stays there, on his shoulder. “You’re probably right and I brought her PB&J sandwiches to soften her up a bit, so.” He chuckles, a little shakily because Eddie’s fingers are brushing lightly against his neck.
“See?” Eddie asks, giving Steve’s shoulder a little shake. “Give her those and flash those pretty doe eyes of yours at her, and she’ll forget why she was even mad in the first place!”
Steve shoves his hand away- because it should be holding onto the steering wheel, not because having it on him makes his stomach flip-flop.
He clears his throat. “Anyway, how was your morning, Munson?”
“My morning? Well, Harrington, it was just fine, thanks for asking. I was catching up on some lovely much-needed Zs after band practice ran late last night, but then the phone woke me up. Some guy yelling at me to come pick him up.”
Steve makes a face, chuckling softly. “That guy sounds like an asshole.”
“Nah, he’s actually a very sweet guy. Pretty, too.” He tosses a wink at Steve, who flushes pink. “And you know me, I’m so easy for a pretty face. I was already gonna say yes when he promised he’d do anything if I gave him a ride. No way I could refuse.”
“Well, I’m sure the guy is very grateful,” he says, then wrinkles his nose. “And hopeful that you won’t make him regret promising you that.”
Eddie throws his head back with a laugh. “Don’t worry, Stevie, I won’t ask for anything too embarrassing.”
“Ugh.”
The van falls into a comfortable silence, only the radio playing softly in the background. Steve is surprised that it’s not one of Eddie’s tapes playing, he’s always complaining about radio stations not playing any ‘real music’ and Steve’s witnessed, more than once, the way he dives for the glove compartment to dig out one of his tapes before he even starts the van. He can’t help but wonder if the reason why Eddie is listening to the radio is because he was rushing to get to Steve and didn’t even have time to pick a tape.
Whether it’s the truth or not, it makes a dopey smile appear on Steve’s face, thinking about Eddie not wasting any time looking for a cassette tape because he knew Steve was in a hurry. He also didn’t change out of his pajamas or pause to fix his hair on his way out, Steve thinks as he looks Eddie up and down. He’s currently in plaid pajama pants and an old band shirt with holes around the collar that Steve knows he wears to bed, and his hair is sticking out every which way even more than usual.
He looks cute like that, and Steve’s dopey smile only grows because of it.
“You know,” Eddie starts and Steve jumps, thinking for a moment that he caught him staring, but his eyes are still fixed on the road. “If you want I can take a look at your car? Old Al Munson didn’t just teach me how to hotwire them, you know? Maybe I can fix whatever’s wrong with it.”
Steve blinks. “Really?”
He’s sure that there must be hearts in his eyes right now. He was already dreading having to pay for a tow truck to take his car to the mechanic and then pay to fix whatever was wrong with it. That kind of money would really put a dent in his plans to save enough for a place of his own, so Eddie fixing it for him would be a great help.
“Of course, Stevie,” Eddie says, flashing him a dimpled grin. Yup, definitely hearts in Steve’s eyes right now. “I can drive you home after your shift and take a look at it. I’ll bring Wayne’s tools.”
The visual of Eddie bending over the hood of Steve’s car with a tool belt around his tiny waist pops up in Steve’s mind without a warning, making warmth pool in his stomach.
He shakes his head and focuses on the Eddie in front of him- sweet, cute Eddie who is offering to give Steve a ride and help him with his car. Yeah, that’s really not any better than sexy mechanic Eddie from his fantasies.
“That would be awesome, Eds, thank you,” he says, possibly a little too earnestly.
It makes Eddie a little shy. He winds some of his hair around his finger and pulls it in front of his mouth. “Don’t go singing praises at me yet, I might not be able to fix it.”
“Maybe not, but I appreciate it anyway, the ride back home too,” Steve says softly. If Robin was here she would tell him to tone it down with the googly eyes and the mushy smiles, the way she does when the three of them hang out-
Shit. Robin.
He checks his watch and a whine slips past his lips.
Eddie notices and the van takes on speed as he pushes his foot harder against the pedal. “We’re almost there,” he says reassuringly.
Steve nods, but his leg stays bouncing anxiously for the rest of the drive.
***
Finally, Eddie drives the van into the Family Video parking lot.
Steve looks for Robin in the distance, squinting his eyes, wanting to gauge just how angry she looks. If she looks like she’s about to murder Steve, he might just tell Eddie to keep driving.
When he spots her, Steve’s stomach falls. She doesn’t look angry, but that’s only because she has an apologetic look on her face as she talks and gestures wildly to a family of three. Steve can’t read her lips, but he figures she must be explaining to them how her coworker and best friend is an idiot who doesn’t know how to work an alarm clock and that he should be getting here any minute now so she can murder him but not before she sends them on their merry way with whatever movie they’re here to rent and a bunch of candy and popcorn. On the house, of course.
“Fuck me,” Steve mutters, slumping back against the seat.
They never get customers this early on Sundays. Never.
Go fucking figure.
Eddie also squints his eyes through the windshield and scrunches up his nose at what he sees. “Maybe you can bribe them with PB&Js too?”
Steve appreciates Eddie trying to lighten his mood, but all he can muster right now is a slight huff of laughter. He starts gathering his things, ready to jump from the van as soon as Eddie parks.
“What time should I pick you up?” Eddie asks as he starts slowing down the van.
“Uh, I get off at four,” Steve says, just as he makes eye contact with Robin. She manages to glare at him while keeping her polite customer service face on. It’s impressive. “If Robin doesn’t kill me first.”
Eddie sniggers. “I don’t think she’ll kill you, maybe hurt you, or put Nair on your shampoo.”
Steve whimpers pathetically at the thought. The van slows to a stop. With the keys to the store in one hand and his Family Video vest in the other, Steve pushes the door open. He already has one leg out when Eddie says, “Wait!”
Steve half turns in his seat and gives him an impatient look, but it shifts into a grateful one when he sees that Eddie is holding the Tupperware with the sandwiches.
“Not so fast, sweetheart, don’t forget your bribe,” Eddie tells him with a lopsided grin.
Later, Steve will ask himself why he did what he does next, but the truth is, he doesn’t know.
Maybe it’s because he’s in a hurry and his body is moving faster than his brain. Maybe it’s because he had a shitty morning and Eddie swooped in like a knight in plaid pajama pants and a worn band shirt. Maybe he smashed his head too hard against the steering wheel of his car earlier that morning. Maybe it’s Eddie’s dimples or maybe it’s the pet name.
The thing is he doesn’t know what does it, just that something gets his wires crossed somehow, and before he knows it, he’s leaning over the space between their seats and pressing a quick kiss to Eddie’s mouth.
He doesn’t even realize he does it. Not yet.
He just grabs the Tupperware from Eddie’s limp hands, throws a “bye, Eds!” over his shoulder, and shuts the van door.
Robin’s head snaps in his direction as he makes his way across the parking lot, attempting to put on his vest without dropping the keys or the sandwiches. The family is watching him too and luckily they don’t look mad about having to wait- Steve checks his watch- shit, thirty minutes for him to get here.
“Hi, hello, I’m so sorry,” he starts apologizing before he even gets to them. He tosses the keys to Robin, who fumbles to catch them, so he can finish shrugging on his vest. “I’m so terribly sorry I kept you waiting,” he tells the family while Robin unlocks the door and flips the sign so it says Open! “My alarm didn’t go off and then my friend had to drive me ‘cause my car wouldn’t start and I couldn’t find my godda-rn vest!” He corrects himself when his eyes dart to the kid staring up at him. “But none of that matters now! Because I’m here and we’re-”
“Open!” Robin says, sweeping her arm in front of the door with a flourish, kind of like Eddie does sometimes.
Speaking of Eddie, Steve glances over his shoulder and notices that the van is still there.
Which, weird. But right now there’s nothing he can do about that.
Instead, he starts ushering the family inside, putting on his most charming smile. “Come in, come in, we’ll have you out of here in no time!” He says, following after them.
He makes eye contact with Robin over the kid’s head and mouths I’m so sorry, grimacing when she glares at him. But at least she holds the door open for him too, instead of letting it slam on his face, which he probably deserves.
Once inside, Steve helps the family find the movie they’re looking for in record time while Robin starts the computer system. By the time he guides them back to the counter, she’s ready to log it into the system. They give them an extra couple of days to return it, for the trouble, as well as all the Milk Duds and cherry licorice they want. On the house. Then they wave at them as they head out, throwing a “Thank you for choosing Family Video!” for good measure.
When the door closes, Steve spins around to face Robin on the other side of the counter. “I’m so sorry, Robs,” he says with as much feeling as he can muster.
She pokes him in the chest several times with her bony fingers. “You owe me so much! I’ve been apologizing to that family for thirty minutes, dingus!”
“I know! I’ll clean the floors today and I’ll take care of the reshelving and you can take an extra long break and I won’t say anything!”
Robin doesn’t speak, just glares. Steve grabs his Tupperware, his last resort, and pushes it across the counter toward her. “I made you PB&J sandwiches. Your favorite.”
She heaves out a long sigh. “Okay, fine, I forgive you, but you’re doing all of that and you’re letting me pick the movie of the day and you’re watching it with me.” Steve nods profusely. The corners of her mouth twitch up, and even if it’s not a full smile, Steve feels relief flood through him. “Now come on, let’s finish getting this place ready for business, and then we can have those sandwiches and you can explain how you got here so late.”
“Yes, ma’am!” Steve says, giving her a two-fingered salute like he’s seen Eddie do many times.
Speaking of Eddie, Steve squints at the parking lot before following Robin’s lead- turning on lights and straightening cardboard cutouts.
He notices that the van is finally gone, and so is Eddie.
***
“Then I almost left the sandwiches in Eddie’s van!”
Robin gasps dramatically, cradling her half-eaten PB&J against her chest. She’s in a much better mood now, after one and a half sandwiches, more apologizing from Steve and his dramatic retelling of this morning’s events.
“Which would be just my luck today, I swear! But Eddie wouldn’t let me forget them,” Steve says, his smile turning dopey the moment he brings up Eddie. He knows this because he sees Robin rolling her eyes. “So I grabbed them and then I-”
And that’s when it hits Steve. What he did. Almost an hour after the fact.
The fact being- He kissed Eddie.
“Oh God,” he mutters, horrified. “Oh fuck, oh God.”
“What? Are you having a stroke? What is it?” Robin asks, eyes widening in alarm. “Steve?” She waves her hands in front of his face and bread crumbs fly everywhere. Steve knows he’s going to have to clean those, but right now he doesn’t care about that at all.
He lets out a pitiful whimper, his hands flying to his face. “Oh my God!”
“Steve, what?”
“I kissed Eddie,” he says, but the words are muffled by his hands over his face.
He hears Robin let out a sigh. “Steve, my best friend, my platonic soulmate with a capital P. I know we joke about it but I can’t actually read your mind. I’m gonna need you to speak more clearly.”
Dropping his hands onto the counter, Steve’s eyes meet hers, then he says, loud and clear, “I kissed Eddie.”
Robin’s face goes through many different emotions in like, twenty seconds. Shock, confusion, something that Steve dubs her fucking finally, dingus! expression, and then, outrage.
“Wait! So you were late because you were busy kissing Eddie? Steve!” She says on her way to get angry again, but Steve starts shaking his head before she’s done talking.
“No! Robs, I was running late and then I kissed Eddie as I was getting out of the van!”
The outrage disappears and she grins at Steve. “Fucking finally, dingus!” She says, and yup, that’s the one, Steve got it right. She holds her hand up for a high five, but Steve grabs her hand between his instead, shaking his head.
“No, Robin, no, this is bad.”
“Why? You like Eddie!”
“I do! I like him so much, but he was never supposed to find out, and definitely not by me just- kissing him!” He says, shaking his hands wildly and Robin’s too since it’s still trapped between them.
“Okay, first, I need my hand back,” Robin says, extracting her hand from Steve’s hold. “Now, what did Eddie do when you kissed him? Did he kiss you back or did he go like, ahhh and pushed you out of the van?”
“I- I don’t know. Nothing?” Steve tries to remember, but his whole morning was a blur. It’s just his luck that he finally kisses the boy he likes and he can’t even remember it. “He just- sat there. Actually, he sat there for a while because he was still here when we were helping that family. Oh my God, is that bad? Do you think he’s mad? Robs, what do I do?” He drops his head on the counter and feels Robin pat his head. He doesn’t even care that her hand is sticky with peanut butter and jelly.
“You said he’s picking you up later?” Steve makes what’s supposed to be a noise of assent. “Okay, so you talk to him.”
“If he even shows up.”
Another pat. “I’m sure he will and then you just tell him the truth. That you kissed him because-”
“I was having a stroke?” He says, twisting his head to one side so he can look at her.
Robin rolls her eyes. “I said the truth, dingus.”
“But the truth is so embarrassing. So, Eddie, I kissed you because I think you’re cute, I kissed you because you came to my rescue this morning, I kissed you because you called me sweetheart and it might’ve melted my brain. I kissed you because I finally let myself do what I’ve wanted to do for weeks!” He groans pitifully. “What if he doesn’t like the truth, Robin? What if he doesn’t like me?”
“You know what I think about that,” she says and Steve does know. She’s told him that she thinks Eddie feels the same way over and over while trying to convince him to make a move, but Steve doesn’t believe her. “But if he doesn’t, then at least you’ll know. And whatever happens, you’ll have me and an endless supply of romantic movies we can both cry to! And ice cream, lots and lots of ice cream!”
Steve lifts his head fully from the counter and smiles gratefully at her. “Thanks, Robs.”
“Of course, Steve, now come on! I know what movie I’m picking today!” She says, hopping onto the counter and swinging her legs over it, barely missing Steve’s head.
“Ugh, not Children of Paradise again, please.” Steve groans when Robin grabs hold of his wrist and pulls him in the direction of their romantic drama section.
She does pick that one again and Steve has no choice but to go with it, but at least with a two-part movie, he’s distracted for a whole two hours and forty-five minutes so he doesn’t think about Eddie or what he’ll say to him later.
Not that much anyway.
(Okay, maybe he does.)
***
Steve half expects Eddie to not show up, and a part of him wishes he’s right, so he doesn’t have to talk to him yet- or ever.
He’s surprised when, at four o’clock, he sees the van roll into the Family Video parking lot.
That surprise quickly turns into horror and he must make some kind of noise that alerts Robin and makes her follow his gaze.
“I told you he’d come!”
He turns to her with a pleading look. “Please let me hitch a ride with you and Nancy, Robs, I can’t do this.”
“You can, Steve,” she says, putting her hands on his shoulders to guide him toward the door. Steve tries to put up some resistance, digging his heels into the floor, but she puts her whole body into it and manages to get him moving.
“What if I kiss him again?”
Robin snorts. “Maybe try to have a conversation with him first,” she suggests, pulling the door open and shoving Steve through it. “And if it turns out that he wants to kiss you then go for it!”
“But what do I even say?”
“You’re asking me that? Pfff. I’m hopeless, you know that. Just be honest, okay? And call me as soon as you get home to tell me everything!” And with that, she shoves him toward Eddie’s van. Steve stumbles a few steps, thankfully catching himself just before he eats dirt.
When he looks up, he sees Eddie staring at him through the windshield. He probably just saw Steve nearly faceplant in the parking lot- and Steve’s supposed to hope Eddie wants to kiss him after that? Yeah, right.
With a sigh, he starts walking towards the van. He reaches the passenger door sooner than he’d like, and after bracing himself, he opens the door and climbs inside.
“Hey,” Steve says, wiggling his fingers in a wave.
He notices that Eddie’s hands are clinging to the leather of the steering wheel. He gives Steve a smile that looks a little strained. “Hey, Steve.”
An awkward silence falls over them and Steve’s fingers itch to open the door and run away, but he can see Robin chatting with Nancy, the two of them standing next to her car, and he’s sure that if he makes a run for it, Robin will chase him down and drag him back to the front seat of Eddie’s van herself.
So he stays where he is and glances at Eddie, noticing that he looks different from this morning.
“You changed your clothes-” he starts, but Eddie chooses that moment to also start talking.
“Seems like Buckley’s in a better mood-”
They both cut themselves off when the other speaks, looking at each other and laughing a little awkwardly.
Eddie looks down at himself. He’s wearing ripped jeans, a self-made Corroded Coffin shirt, and his hair is pulled back into a ponytail, which allows Steve to see the earrings adorning his right ear. “I did change clothes. I don’t just hang around and do nothing in my pajamas all day. Sometimes, I wear jeans,” he says, making Steve snort. “So, did the PB&J sandwiches work?” He asks, gesturing at Robin across the parking lot. Steve can see her glancing towards the van every couple of seconds. She’s not being subtle.
“They did, but I also had to let her pick this long French drama for movie of the day and let her take an hour-long break. And also apologize like, three hundred times.”
“Damn, Buckley’s tougher than I thought,” Eddie whistles, eyebrows shooting up in surprise. “But she let you off the hook?”
“Yeah, we’re good.”
Eddie nods. “Cool.”
Another silence. This one’s less uncomfortable, but it still feels like something is hanging over their heads. No, not just something.
Steve sighs. Might as well get it over with.
“So,” he says.
“So,” Eddie echoes, flexing his fingers around the steering wheel.
“I kissed you.”
There, he said it. It’s out there.
Eddie inhales sharply. “You did.” His knuckles start to turn white with how hard he’s gripping the wheel. “Um, why did you?”
He remembers Robin’s words. The truth, Steve. Just tell him the truth.
“Honestly, I don’t know. I didn’t even realize I did it at first,” Steve says, running a hand through his hair, keeping his eyes on his lap.
“So it was just- what? An accident? You- you didn’t mean it?” Eddie’s voice sounds uncharacteristically small, quiet. Steve risks glancing at him, and when he does, he finds that Eddie has shrunk in on himself. His eyes meet Steve’s for a split second and he looks hurt, like he wanted the kiss to mean something.
And Steve can’t have him thinking that it didn’t. No way.
He turns sideways on his seat, leaning forward, closing some of the distance between them.
“I didn’t realize I did it because I’m so used to thinking about kissing you,” Steve admits. Eddie’s eyes snap up to meet his- wide, hopeful.
“You- you are?”
Steve nods, feeling his cheeks turn pink, but he doesn’t let that stop him. “I’m just usually better at stopping myself from doing anything about it, but today,” He shakes his head, letting out a shaky laugh. “You swooped in to help me and were looking so cute in your pajamas and you were smiling at me with your dimples and I- I just did it, without thinking. So I didn’t mean to do it, but I meant it.”
Eddie’s lip is trapped between his teeth as he chews on it nervously. It’s very distracting, but Steve does his best to keep his eyes off his mouth and on his eyes, which are sparkling as he thinks over Steve’s words. “Holy shit, you did?”
“Yeah, I meant it so much that when I realized what I did, I started panicking.”
Finally, Eddie lets go of the steering wheel, slumping back against his seat, and huffing out a burst of air. “Thought I was the only one who was panicking.”
Steve’s eyebrows knit. “Why would you be panicking?”
Eddie shoots him an incredulous look. “Because! You kissed me and then just- said goodbye like- like you didn’t turn my world fucking- upside down with that kiss, pun absolutely intended. I didn’t know if for you it was like, a friend thing or a mistake or-”
“Not a friend thing,” Steve says, “and not a mistake.”
Eddie lets those words sink in then starts nodding in a way that makes him look like the Chewbacca bobblehead toy he keeps next to his bed. Steve has to bite down on a smile. “Okay. Okay, good, because I want you to do it again.”
“Huh?”
Eddie meets his gaze. “You took me by surprise this morning, but I want you to kiss me again. So I can kiss you back this time.”
Steve’s stomach flips. “Holy shit.” He doesn’t move right away and Eddie looks at him expectantly, not taking it back, waiting for Steve to kiss him again. And what the fuck is Steve even waiting for? “Shit, yeah, okay.”
His hand catches Eddie’s jaw, cradles it with his palm, and he leans over the space between the two seats for the second time that day. Only this time, he moves slowly, committing everything to memory- the way Eddie’s breath hitches when Steve touches his face, the way he goes cross-eyed staring at Steve as he moves closer, the way he whines when their lips brush, not quite touching yet.
And finally, the way Eddie fists the lapel of Steve’s Family Video vest, and in an impatient move, pulls him towards him, crashing their mouths together.
And Steve- well. Steve doesn’t know how he did this already and didn’t remember until an hour later. Because this? He’s never forgetting this.
Eddie’s mouth is warm and soft. There’s a small cut on his bottom lip, no doubt from him chewing on it hard while panicking. When Steve flicks his tongue over it, Eddie yelps, but then he’s tugging Steve even closer by his vest and he’s licking into Steve’s mouth and Steve’s brain goes offline. He gets lost in the kiss. Lost in Eddie. He’s drowning and he never wants to come up for air.
But sadly that’s not something he can do. At some point, he has to breathe so he breaks the kiss but he doesn’t go far. He stays in Eddie’s space, his hand stroking over his jaw. And even if he wanted to move he wouldn’t be able to go anywhere, not with the hold Eddie has on his vest.
“I say this should count as our first kiss,” Eddie whispers, his forehead resting against Steve’s.
“What’s wrong with our actual first kiss?”
“Dude,” Eddie says, and the fact that he’s calling him that while their faces are a few inches from each other after kissing, makes Steve giggle. “The kiss lasted like, a second and you ran away right after!”
Steve’s face scrunches up. “Yeah, maybe it wasn’t my best work.”
Eddie snorts. “It really made me question everything I heard about Steve Harrington’s kissing prowess.”
“My- what? Where did you even hear that?”
Eddie shrugs, making Steve’s hand fall from his jaw to his shoulder where he starts playing with a curl that slipped free from his ponytail. “I used to hang out under the bleachers a lot, and heard many girls gossiping about your mad kissing skills.” He waggles his eyebrows, making Steve laugh. “So imagine my surprise when you go and kiss me like- like my grandma used to kiss me! I thought they had to be talking about someone else.”
Steve’s cheeks go red, but he tries to save some face by asking, “And after that second kiss, do you still think they were wrong?”
Eddie gulps. “Nope.”
“Good,” Steve says with a pleased smile. “Then maybe we can count this as our first kiss, I wouldn’t want my reputation to be ruined when we tell people about this.”
Eddie doesn’t laugh at the joke. He’s back to chewing on his lip, which is significantly more distracting now that Steve knows what those lips feel and taste like, but right now he focuses on the way Eddie’s eyes start flickering all over the inside of the van, not meeting Steve’s when he quietly asks, “This?”
“What?”
“You said this like, what do you mean? What is this?” He lets go of Steve’s vest to gesture between them. “Is it like, just kissing or do you, uh, do you want to be with me? Like, boyfriends or something?”
“Exactly like boyfriends,” Steve says, making Eddie squeak adorably. “If that’s what you want.”
“Steve, God, there’s nothing I want more,” Eddie says with a dopey smile that rivals Steve’s.
Except it doesn’t because Steve is beaming at the thought of being Eddie’s boyfriend. Of Eddie being his boyfriend. Christ. He would be embarrassed about how giddy he feels if he couldn’t tell Eddie was riding the same high as he is.
“Then I guess I should give my boyfriend that ride home that I promised him, hm?” He asks, leaning back on his seat, but not before he leaves a fleeting kiss on the corner of Steve’s mouth.
And God, hearing Eddie call him that makes Steve feel like he’s floating. “Yeah, you should.”
He leans back too as Eddie starts the van. Steve glances across the parking lot before he drives them away and realizes that Nancy’s car is gone. They must’ve taken off around the time Steve kissed Eddie after Robin realized Steve wouldn’t try to run.
“I promised you something too, if I remember correctly,” Steve says, looking out the window as Eddie drives them onto the main street. His eyes flick towards Steve, one of his eyebrows raised. “I promised I’d do anything if you gave me a ride to work, remember?”
Eddie’s eyes widen as he realizes what he’s talking about. He teased Steve about this all morning and now it’s his turn to return the favor.
“And now that we’re together the list of things I can do got significantly bigger so you might want to think about how you want me to pay you back,” he says with a smirk.
Color starts rising from Eddie’s neck to his cheeks and then to his ears. “I- shit, you want me to think about this while I drive?” His voice goes higher in pitch as he stammers more words out. “Do you want me to crash this fucking van, Steve? Jesus!”
Steve just laughs, relaxing back against his seat. He trusts Eddie not to get them into an accident, but just to be on the safe side, he stops teasing him and reaches for the volume dial on the radio, turning the music up.
He steals glances at Eddie as he drives, thinking how the end of his day did a complete turn from how it started. His morning had been a disaster, especially when he thought he ruined things with Eddie.
But now, Steve is heading home after kissing the boy he likes, and he gets to watch him play sexy mechanic while fixing his car, and he gets to do something about it if he wants- like kiss Eddie stupid against the hood of his car.
So, in retrospect, Steve thinks, his alarm not going off this morning might actually be the best thing to ever happen to him.

OK to the heartless demons who have asked why the “baby girl” scene in The Last of Us has destroyed me. (I’m being cheeky about heartless demons, but seriously, I’m flummoxed over this.)
This is the first time in Ellie’s life that she has someone who truly loves her. Someone who cares enough to risk their own life, they will gladly kill to protect her. And not because she is the potential golden child who holds the cure to the cordyceps infection, but because they LOVE HER. She means that much to them. They know that being forced to endure life without her would be a torture they’re not willing to accept.
The look in her eyes when David told her she has no father… the pain was palpable (God bless Bella Ramsey). We know she’s terrified of ending up alone. We know that everyone she has ever cared for has left her one way or another. She’s been alone her whole life and it’s the one thing she does not want to be.
She loves Joel, and he is one-hundred percent her father figure, but they’re both so guarded in protection of themselves. The pain and loss each has endured too profound to allow them to be vulnerable. But where Ellie has built an outer-layer to protect herself, Joel has built a fortress and fortified that fucker so no one can get in. We’ve been watching their defenses fall each week, but the last two episodes has shown us just how much they’re willing to do to save the other.
David’s sadistic words and demonic actions have put poor Ellie through living hell. Then she emerges into a cold, unfamiliar wilderness… alone. She’s lost and traumatized. This BADASS girl is as close to broken as we have ever seen her. Then, Joel appears, and until she realizes it is him, she is horrified.
Now, the look in Joel’s eyes (God bless Pedro Pascal). The horror, the pain, the guilt that he couldn’t protect her. Seeing her broken breaks him, but the relief at finding her. The man is overwhelmed, but instead of retreating, he gives in. He holds her, comforts her, he lets the feelings wash over him and she feels SAFE.
“It’s OK, baby girl. I got you.”
She’s loved and protected for the first time in her life. Joel has not uttered the words baby girl, nor experienced that level of affection since he lost Sarah twenty years before. He has surrendered. He loves her. She has surrendered, she’s accepting his love. Then, both wounded in every way, they stumble off to face the unknown together.
HOW ISN’T EVERYONE IN THE FETAL POSITION BAWLING? I should have had my therapist on speed dial.

IMAGINE THE DAY OF YOUR WEDDING, your nerves are through the roof and your bridesmaids are trying their very best to calm them. every suggested method-- immediately shut down by a very frustrated and on-the-verge-of-a-mental-breakdown-bride. no amount of breathing exercises, ice packs, glasses of wine, or whatever the fuck helped.
how could they when nothing was going as planned? the photographer that you had booked months in advance cancelled last minute, on the way inside the building the wedding cake designers’ assistant tripped and dropped the expensive wedding cake your parents paid for, everyone was bombarding you with questions you didn’t have the answer to, the room was hot as balls and for gods sake you couldn’t-
“breathe, y/n. do the exercises we talked about.” your maid of honor says comfortingly to your reflection in the vanity where you perch.
“you look beautiful. everything will work out. just breathe. in and out. out and in.” she squeezes your shoulder reassuringly. for the fifth time, you obey her advice.
and for the fifth time, it doesn’t work. of course it doesn’t. you knew what, who, you needed— to calm you down. your bridesmaids did too.
you could feel a lump crawling its way up your throat and place a shaking hand over your belly. has it always been this hot in here? has this dress always felt this tight? you snatch your phone from the vanity dresser.
4:30 PM
27 MISSED CALLS.
thirty minutes before you were set to walk down the aisle and all 27 from your mother and mother-in-law combined. you stand, a little too quickly one might add-- and the room begins to spin. Hands reach out to grab you.
you shake them off and stumble your way to the door. your bridesmaids stand in unison. the maid of honor inches towards you wearily.
“y/n. please, it's bad luck if the groom sees his bride before the wedding.”
“and how much bad luck do you think it’d be if the bride jumped from the goddamn balcony?” you hiss, slamming the door in their aghast faces.
fuck. that was completely unlike you. you’d have to apologize to them later. but now, you needed to see him. your heart began to beat faster. louder. you could feel tears threatening to spill. his number was saved on speed dial and he picked up on the first ring.
“y/n?” his husky voice thick with concern was like music to your ears.
you clutched your chest tightly. “i need to see you right now please.”
“meet me at the gazebo.”
he beat you there, of course knowing him he’d probably run there. the slight heaving of his chest and shoulders was of plenty enough indicator. the clack of your heels alerts him of your presence. when he turns, it seems as if the world slows. you don’t think you’d be able to formulate a sentence without choking up. so you two say nothing.
there you two stand, with nothing else in the world mattering but each other. all you can muster is a smile from ear to ear that he reciprocates and the strength to fight back sobs. for a few beats, he cannot find the words that were nearly applicable enough to describe your beauty in this moment.
and unsurprisingly, it’s him who cries first.
you break your intensive stare, exclaiming, “don’t cry! fuck! now i’m gonna-,” its as if the ball in your throat bursts. one second you were fighting to keep your composure and the next, well composure be damned.
his body slammed into yours as he pulled you in a damn near rib shattering hug filled with nothing but love as you wail into his arms.
“how can i not?” he starts through sniffles. “i’m marrying the woman i’ve loved for damn near a decade and you look-”
“don’t say beautiful,” you choke out.
“divine. alluring. stunning. lovely. radiant. exquisite. shall i go on?” he drawls, without skipping a beat.
“don’t let me stop you.” you joke, sharing a laugh. and perhaps its the nerves, or the wine and champagne or the fact that your wedding day was going to shit; you couldn’t help but laugh harder. confused, your fiancee laughs at your state. perhaps contagious, you both double over, shaking with laughter. wheezing, together you collapse on the wooden planks until your laughter dies down.
“what are we doing?” you say through an exhale of breath as you push yourself up against rails of the gazebo. your fiancé follows suit.
“getting married?” he says, serious.
you lightly punch his arm. “well duh. but why all of… this? this isn’t we wanted. or how we wanted it to go. we always talked about something simple and private.” you say, referring to the wedding guests.
“you’re right, its what our mothers wanted.”
“i don’t even like half of the people in there.”
“at least your mom didn’t invite your primary school bully.”
“she invited all four of them actually.”
“jesus.” he comments, scoffing.
a beat.
your groom takes your hand in his, squeezing lightly. “d’you wanna leave?”
you smile. “that’s the best fucking idea i’ve heard all day.” you exclaim. locking eyes with you, you grab his face into your hands and kiss him passionately. a kiss so fervent, you lose your breath. this man before you was your husband. till death do you part.
“i love you so much.”
“and i love you infinitely.”

Imagine the continue of your latest family formation where reader has high fever and starts crying in her sleep because she's seeing satoru get killed by toji again
The kids getting worried aick because "when did gojo die?!"
And satoru not knowing how it still haunted you even after so many years
Tumblr media
A/N: I’m sorry this took so long!! I wanted to think it through but I hope u like it bc I loved writing it!!
CW: hints at ptsd, mentions of blood and canon typical violence and sickness, angst but not really? Soft soft soft soft
Family Formations • Kind
Tumblr media
You were tossing and turning in your sleep, fever from the flu still wreaking havoc on your body. Satoru was worried, but luckily, he had Shoko on speed dial – and she would never let anything happen to her precious best friend. You had kicked the sheets off long ago, and the mumbling had started rather funny.
“Satoru you can’t take home a seal from the beach.”
“Megumi let go of Satoru’s hair.”
“Get that stick outta your ass Nanami – you used to smoke blunts on the school roof.”
He was loving it; it was like a free stand-up show!
But then, you started to whimper. He had fallen asleep, and it took some time to rouse him from his slumber but what woke him up was you sobbing in your sleep.
“Please no, please don’t take him from me. Please, not him. Not again. I can’t watch ‘Toru die again, please god NO NO NO NO!” At this point he was kissing your head, whispering your name to wake you from the fever dream, tears in his own eyes because he knew what you were dreaming of.
You gasp awake and bolt upright, wrapping your arms around him.
You stay sobbing in his arms as he consoles you.
“It’s okay, Princess - I’m here. It was just a dream, I’m safe, you’re safe, and the kids are safe. Nothing gonna happen again, okay? He’s gone. Nothing can take me from you again.”
You had been there; you had seen the father of the kid in the next room over. You had heard the burst of the blade through your love’s pale throat, the ivory skin turning crimson red in an instant as he gasped and choked. He had died in your arms. You had screamed and cried and managed to lodge a vine through the shoulder of the man who had done.
But he was here. He fought his way back to you.
You ran your shaking hands over his face and torso – as if checking for injuries.
“I saw it all again, he came back. He had you and he did it again and I couldn’t move and then you were dead again.” You sobbed into his shoulder. He hated seeing you this way, he still had nightmares of the day himself – sometimes the true events, sometimes reversed.
As your breathing steadied, he unwrapped himself from you.
“I’m gonna make you a hot chocolate, okay? I’ll be right back.”
You nodded, sniffing into your Kurama plush.
Satoru opened the door to your room.
And he wasn’t prepared for two wide eyes faces on the other side looking up at him.
“Shit.” He spoke. He knew they’d heard, they’re faces told the whole story.
“You died, papa?” Tsumiki whispered.
Your head perked up at the voice.
“Shit.” You agree.
Megumi’s wide eyes and uneasy stance mirror his sisters.
There was no avoiding this conversation, even at 2am.
Satoru looks at you, you echo his panicked look. Fuck, you two are only 21! How do you explain all this.
“C’mere, come sit on the bed for a minute.” You were past the infectious stage now, so it didn’t matter if they got close. They did as say. Tsumiki crawling up to sit facing you and Megumi dragging his frog plush up to sit beside you. Satoru takes his own side of the bed.
“I’m sorry you guys heard that. I was having a really bad dream which made me feel a bit scared.” You pet their little heads.
“Did you really die?” Megumi pipes up, eyes focused on Satoru.
“Yeah, kid. A long time ago. I got pretty badly hurt and I died for a minute, but I used my technique to bring myself back.” He softly says, and these are the moments that you realise how great a father he really is.
“How did you get hurt?” Tsumiki asks, quietly.
You lock eyes with your boyfriend. They’re too young for the truth right now.
“He got hurt trying to keep a little girl safe.” You add.
They’re silent for a minute.
“Who hurt you?” Megumi asked.
“A really, really strong man. I wasn’t as strong as I am now – and I was tired.” Satoru adds.
Another bout of silence.
“Will the man come back?” Megumi asks again. At this point, there’s fresh tears on your cheeks.
“No, baby. He’s never coming back.” You pet the boy's hair. You’re not going to tell him the man in question was his father, 8 years old is too young for the truth.
“How can, you be sure?” Tsumiki’s voice wavers, and she moves closer to Satoru. She’s worried, you can’t appease her worries by just saying he went away, a grain of truth will do.
“Because he died, sweetheart. He can’t hurt anyone anymore.”
“Are you sure he died? Because Satoru died but he came back.” Megumi questions, ever too smart for his age.
“Hey! I’m unique little man, only the strongest can do that.” He winks, but humour won’t work now.
“We’re sure he died honey.” You nod at the boy.
“How are you sure?” Tsumiki interjects, Jesus you’re getting the fifth degree here at 2am.
You both quiet for a second.
“Because I’m the one who did it, ‘Miki.” He grasped her little hand.
Funnily, that seems to ease both their worries. What these kids have been through, it astounds you – not that you or Satoru had it any easier.
However, it’s a testament to their trust in you both. They know that Satoru would kill for them, and you would too. They feel safest when you two are the ones handling the issues, because they will forever be safe with you both.
“And it makes you sad, because you were there Mama?” Tsumiki asks, petting your hair, as if she’s the one to comfort you.
“I was, angel. I was very scared, and sometimes when bad things happen your brain remembers them, and that’s why sometimes we have nightmares.”
“Were you hurt?” Megumi asks.
“No honey, I was just very scared and very sad. You see, I love Satoru so much that I felt like I was dying too, because of how much my heart hurt. Him and I are made of the same star, and that’s why we love each other so much. So sometimes I get bad dreams of it happening – but I promise you both. We’re all safe now.” You pull all three of them into you, whispering ‘I love you’ to Satoru.
After a minute of family hugging, Satoru leaps up.
“I’ll be right back, 4 cups of hot chocolate with extra cream for Tsumiki, extra cinnamon for Megumi, extra marshmallows for my princess and extra sugar for me!” He does a silly walk out the door to make the kids laugh – well, Tsumiki laughs, Megumi rolls his eyes.
They snuggle in between your pillow and Satoru’s.
“Does everyone get someone made of the same star, mama?” Megumi asks.
You smile at him.
“Some people get lots of people, some people get friends, some get boyfriends or girlfriends. There’s matches out there for everyone, in all ways. Some people know them forever, some people only meet when they’re really old. Your papa and I were lucky to reunite when we were so young.” You muse.
“I hope mine is a Prince, or a handsome King!” Tsumiki says.
“You’d make a great Queen, ‘Miki.” You giggle with her.
“I hope mine is kind.” Megumi quietly muses. Your sweet soft boy, so much more sensitive than he pretends.
The other half of your star walks back in at that moment, holding a tray of mugs – steaming and overflowing with cocoa.
You all curl up in your California King Bed that night, you and Satoru holding hands over the heads of the kids between you – Tsumiki by Satoru, and Megumi by you. You lock eyes and smile as they both fall asleep.
“Goodnight, Princess.”
“Goodnight, ‘Toru.”
7 years later, Megumi’s other half of his star came barrelling into his life, all smiles and pink hair and chaos – but as he had hoped, completely and utterly kind.

Ruby: *on scroll* Hello, this is Ruby Rose. I'm calling about my order. Yeah, that order. Delayed? Low priority? No, no, I get it. Thanks for answering. Should I come pick it up? Oh, no, tomorrow's fine.
Blake: *comes from behind and hugs Ruby* Hey, babe, did you cut your ha- *sniff sniff* RUBY?!
Scene: Ruby has blonde hair.
Ruby: A little late, Blake. Also, wait, do you always need smell to identify people?
Blake: N-no! *backs off* It's just that you smell like strawberries and Yang usually smells like...okay, not important. What's with your hair?
Ruby: Oh, yeah, I ran out of hair dye and my latest shipment got delayed.
Blake: ...Wait, you dye your hair black?
Ruby: Uh-huh.
Blake: ...So the streaks just happen naturally?
Ruby: what streaks?
Blake: Nevermind. So you and Yang are both natural blondes?
Ruby: No, Yang-OH MY GOD, YANG!
Meanwhile, downtown...
Ozpin: ...Officer. What the hell is this?
Huntsman: It's...it's Raven Branwen. Just like she's on her bounty poster.
Ozpin: No. No she's not.
Huntsman: Are...are you sure?
Ozpin: Look, Mr. Smith, I know Raven Branwen. I trained her personally. I see her brother almost every other month and have him on speed dial. When I tell you "this isn't the Bandit Queen", I mean "Please uncuff Miss Xiao Long".
Yang: I fucking told you! *has black hair* My hair dye delivery was just delayed!

y'know, as tired as I am of the "Aziraphale has a secret plan" theories, there IS something incredibly funny about them:
somehow, it is ALWAYS Aziraphale who has the secret masterplan but never Crowley.
like—why are you assuming that Aziraphale, who has never had a good plan in his entire existence because he thinks that having God on speed dial will fix everything, is the one who came up with a plan within five minutes?
because he's the one who fucked up? because if you keep telling yourself that he was cruel for secret noble reasons you don't have to examine your own beliefs and behaviour?
because you never spared a single thought to the fact that Crowley is the one who comes up with plans, who solves mysteries and saves the day, who is always watching, always listening?
Crowley went to heaven, saw the trial and fuck knows what else, had all that time plus an entire elevator ride plus some quiet time to come up with something. Crowley has been outsmarting heaven and hell for millennia. Crowley is the brave one, the one who acts and follows through even if it hurts, the one who runs into burning buildings and burning confessions because if there is one thing he isn't, it's cowardly.
i'm putting my money on him, not on mr. "come up with something or I will never talk to you again" because Aziraphale is so reliant on Crowley he's incapable of doing anything without guidance, heavenly or otherwise. someone tells him what to do, and if it keeps him comfortable, he'll do it. if it won't, he won't.
Aziraphale, who thinks that a few stern words with the angels will fix everything wrong with heaven. Aziraphale, who thinks that appealing to God's good will has any chance of actually working out, like she didn't throw half her children into literal hell.
do I think Crowley has a secret masterplan at this stage? no, he doesn't. he's grieving, he's fucked up, he needs time to process.
but i can guarantee you that as soon as the circumstances demand action, he will be first in line with ideas while Aziraphale is still trying to get God to make an appearance and magically fix everything.

I had more thoughts about my "Elle is the Ancient of the Speedforce" au idea so I'm gonna dump them here in bullet point format:
Elle decides to formally claim the Flash Fam as part of her Court, no one thinks much of this outside of "Oh that's neat" until it comes out that if anything happens to Elle, the FlashFam becomes the new Royal Family of Speedforce and that due to weird Infinite Realms laws Bart is the next in line for the mantle of Ancient of the Spaceforce
Elle can use any Speedster as a portal. She just decides who she wants to see and just comes crawling put of their chests like a god damn horror movie. It doesn't hurt the Speedster at all (it actually gives them a power boost for a bit) but it is absolutely fucking terrifying to witness this eldritch entity burst its way out of the Speedster in question. The FlashFam uses this as the ultimate intimidation tactic. It's super effective.
Now that they are in direct contact with the Speedforce itself (in a way) the Speedsters can get away with So Much Shit that they didn’t used to. Elle can now just pull them out of her core if they end up going to fast and now that they have someone who has the Ancient of Time on speed dial (ha) they get a heads up on what that particular attempt to fuck with time will result in
Technically Diana & the FlashFam are cousins now. The family reunions get a little wild. Batman has no idea how he's supposed to make contingencies for this shit
Anytime any of the Speedsters are having issues with the Speedforce they call Elle and she helps them figure it out and get it under control. Sometimes to help calm them down she will pull the Speedforce away from them completely
Elle decides that her Speedsters all need therapy. Jazz won't do it because since they're family now it'd be a conflict of interests but a few Yetis from the Far Frozen step up to help.
Anytime it looks like there is something truly world ending about to go down thr FlashFam call Elle to help out. Since she looks like a tiny twelve year old girl it results in a lot of funny moments of the Biggest Big Bads being like "This is all you got?" Seconds before having their faces melted off.
The reason Bart is Elle's heir is because he "inherited" Elle's. (And therefore Danny's) ability to duplicate.
Everyone finally chills out about the idea of Bart being Elle's heir only to discover that being her heir also makes him second in line for the throne of the Infinite Realms.
Constantine - once he stops having a panic attack about it - does try to sell his soul to each of the Speedsters just to see if it would work. It does, but since they technically out rank everyone else he's sold his soul too, anyone who has a soul contract with Constantine takes this to mean the new members of the Royal Family want *all* of Constantine's soul and hand thier contracts over to try and gain favor. Constantine now constantly feels like he's on the brink of having an adrenaline crash and no one will buy his soul off him anymore because no one wants to piss off the new royals lol

Words tumble out of your mouth when you hear the click.
“I need….Can I have more..?” You try to stop your hands from shaking. They haven’t stopped in weeks.
“Already?” The vet asks from the other end of the phone. He was finishing his paperwork for the day. He had Chinese takeout with his name on it that he was eager to get to when you called. Which was unusual in itself because you never called without one of your owners present or even all of them. “I gave you a 4-month trial, it's only been just over a month. Are they not working?”
You force down the thick lump of saliva in your throat, trying to clear your voice enough to sound..well like you were fine.  “They were…but then- I need something stronger.”
You were not fine. You hadn’t been since the week you had been given the pills. But you held onto some hope that your body just had to adjust to them, waiting for them to take the discomfort away, the unending need you felt.
“Snow I can’t give you anything stronger, as you are a smaller hybrid they will be fatal if we’re not careful.” He sits up straighter in his chair. Forgoing his paperwork to focus on your words.  “Did you try taking an extra one? That should help without being too much for your body.”
“I did.” The room starts to spin a little, you stumble to sit on the ground.”...So I took more.”
“How many more?” Now he’s slightly worried.
“Today or ?” You hold your head in your hand, but you're still finding it hard to stay upright. “I started taking 2 but then it stopped working so I took another and then…eventually another…”
“That’s 4. How long have you been taking 4?”
“A month or so?”
“How many today?” He was trying to keep calm, but inside he was frantic. 4 is double your max dose. He just hoped today you hadn’t followed the same pattern.
“Today…today….six…” The urge to vomit was slowly forcing its way higher and higher from your stomach. Every inch you could feel it burning a path through you. You decide it would be best to lay down on the hardwood. The coolness against your clothed back gave a welcome break from the rising heat. “It kept hurting. It wouldn’t stop hurting…”
“I need… I need… I need to morph back. I don’t feel as sick. I don’t want to be sick.” You could hear your own words slowing. Your mouth couldn’t keep up with your mind anymore. Or was it your mind not being able to keep up with your mouth? You couldn’t tell the difference anymore.
The tantalizing taste of eucalyptus that hung in the air. It was always the only thing your mind could focus on. It felt so thickly enticing.
“Snow! Do not change into your hybrid-” He’s cut off by a sharp chirp through the phone. “Shit.”
“Deandra!” He yells out his office door. “I need your hybrid in here now!”
One of the shelters nurses and her raccoon hybrid come running into the room, they had stayed later tonight to help finish getting the new hybrid drop offs comfortable. He shoves the phone at the male hybrid.
“I need you to tell me exactly what she’s saying. Keep her talking.” He instructs sternly. Normally he wouldn’t talk to someones hybrid like this but he doesn’t have the ability to watch his tone or filter his words.
He reaches over his desk knocking the papers that he was working on onto the floor. He quickly dials your owners number that he has kept on speed dial since his first day visiting you.
He hears the click of a connect.
“Seokjin! Thank god. Tell me, are you the one?” He feels out of breathe, like he’s panting. Even though he’s not.
“Doctor? The one what?” Seokjin’s curious words respond to him.
“The one who started Snow’s heat.” He clarifies.
There’s a pause. It takes too long for the other to answer his question.
“QUICKLY.” He shouts at the younger.
“No. No. its not me. What is happening?!” Seokjin’s concern erupts through his ears.
“You need to get home now, I’ll leave as soon as I can. The pills had a severe negative affect. She’s taken too many.” He explains desperately. He can’t hide the panic in his feet, he’s pacing in the space infront of his desk.
“What?” Seokjin tells himself out loud. “I have to tell the others.”
“No! Only you. Whoever it is will only make this worse. She needs you right now.”
“I’m leaving.” The younger notifies him as well as anyone else in the room with him.
“I’ll meet you there.” They both hang up, not bothering with any form of goodbyes.
“-Doctor…..” The racoon hybrid calls to him.
“What is she saying??” He’s trying to keep himself from yelling. But the full blown panic that is beginning to set within him is about to break out.
“She’s not… she’s not talking. She’s only making noises, nothing is making sense. I don’t think-”
He points to the nurse, “Call an emergency vehicle to head there. Tell them it’s critical.”
Rounding his desk, he snatched the phone away from the hybrid shuffling him to the other side and points at him, “Stay.”
“Snow! Hear me. Talk to me. Jin is on his way. You need to change back.” He hears a few other cheeps before loud rustling.
“Liiiiiiving with them…… has maaaade me…. the hppiest…. Ive ever been in my eeentiiiiire liiiiife.” Your voice comes through muffled and slurring. “I would gooo through….. aaaaaall….. the abuse…. I sufferrrrred…. over again….. to have the chance…. to beeee their pet. They loved meeeee doctor…”
“Love, snow. They love you.”
“I used to….. maaaake themmmmm sooooo haaaaappy….. Theeeey would alwayssss… ssssmiiiile when they ssssaaaaw mmmme…they donnnnnnnn sssmile assssss…… much anymore….. I wisssh they did….. How doo I…. make them sssssmile… again…?”
“They want you to be healthy and happy. That’s all they want.” He tries to quiet his own breath to be able to hear your slow deep attempts.
He hears a bang and rustling from the other end. He hits speaker on his office phone. The other hybrid still in his office, just in case she returns back to hybrid form. God he hopes she doesn’t.
“Snow what happened?”  He can hear Sekjin’s voice now.
“Thesssse…. are…. Pretty’ssss…. Eyesssss.” Her slurring worsens. It’s almost incomprehensible.
“Snow please. Doctor what do I do?” Jins voice abruptly yells.
“I have an emergency vehicle headed to you now. Keep her awake and don’t let her change into her hybrid form. The medication will only circulate through her system faster.”
“Pretty…. issssn’t sssssmiling.-How do IIIII -maaaaake Pretty …ssssssmiiiiiile again.” He can hear Seokjin sniffling through her attempts at speech. “i kn..ooow. Everyyyyoooone ssssssmiiilessss ….when immmmm -”
“little…” they word escapes out in an exhale.
Airy faint chirps are heard, he drastitically turns to the other hybrid.
“Doctor! She’s changed again!” Jin all but shrieks.
“What is she saying?” He demands of the terrified male hybrid.
“...” He walks closer to listen, his face going pale. “She’s saying… ‘I’ll stay little forever. I’m no trouble when I’m little.’” Listens again “‘Everyone smiles when I’m little….I’ll stay little’…..She’s just repeating ‘I’ll stay little’ over and over again.”
“Snow!” Seokjin whimpers over the phone, his voice breaking. Just like his heart.. “No…. please.”
“I’M ON MY WAY!” He grabs his things from his drawer and bolts for the door.
Running to his car he thinks about all the risks, the side affects he had gone over with you, all the late night research he had done. But this isn’t one of the risks that even crossed his mind. He made a vow all those years ago when you first came to the shelter. He promised to find you a loving family, that you would finally be happy.
He didn’t realize just how dangerous this could be. How there was one thing above all others that could make it all come crashing down…desperation.

so i want to jump on the mom friend mischa trend and give my two cents so here are my mom friend mischa headcannons:
only the choir get to hate ocean. if anyone else is heard badmouthing her then mischa is on it
im talking full on scraps in the alley behind the school but come on theres no competition
mischa wins
sometimes if hes there when it happens he just dives straight into action
and god forbid hes with ricky or noel when it happens
ricky will willingly give up a crutch and lean on the wall while mischa beats the person up with it until theyre lying on the ground and/or ricky needs to get to class and might want his crutch.
noel is almost as defensive over being the only person to mock ocean as mischa is, and worse, mischa wants to impress him
so imagine mischa bachinski actually trying while beating you up
yea thats what i thought
moving aside from ocean he'll fight anyone who comes close to the other members of the choir
his basement is always free to anyone who needs it
he always has a change of clothes and first aid stuff for those who need it
tell me he doesnt carry one of oceans inhalers at all times
ocean goes to his house before school everyday to shower so she doesnt smell like weed
so does penny
oh god does mischa get defensive over penny
like woah hes got everything she might possibly need
ocean: hey mischa-
mischa: nope
penny: i want taco bell
mischa: already on it
he has noel on speed dial for that
honestly penny doesnt even really like taco bell she just likes watching noel run from the mall to wherever mischa called from
penny doesnt even really need defending at this point mischas scared everyone off
wow that got long, lol.

Goalies Turn
A JJK Kick-Off Fanfic/Soccer AU Choso x Reader
AN: I am absolutely obsessed with @celestie0 amazing JJK Soccer AU fanfic "Kick-Off". I adore the way she writes Choso in it; the teams Goalie. As a result with her permission I have written a one shot fanfic...for her fanfic. LMAO. This y/n is NOT the leading lady of Kick Off. Thank you Ellie for making up this amazing world and letting me play around in it!
Choso Kamo x Reader One Shot. Fluff, Comedy, Smut.
Something about feeling the turf underneath your feet without the support of your cleats was incredibly bittersweet. You adjust the binders in your hands as you walk down the sidelines. The early morning sun is just starting to evaporate last night's dew. The University of Tokyo’s men’s D1 soccer team is in high gear despite the early hour. They are performing suicide runs; their cleats eating up the turf. The sweat running down temples and rolling down backs.
The back of your calves twitch in anticipation of the thought of joining them. At this hour you would normally be with your girls, catching their practice goal kicks. Your thick goalie gloves snatching speeding soccer balls out of the air before launching them across the field with swift kicks. The unreleased energy running through you is driving you mad. You’ll need to go on a run after this to help relieve the excess.
You reach Coach Yaga, his yappy Pomeranian giving you an attitude as you stop next to him. Yaga gives you a nod before focusing back on his players. “PICK UP YOUR FEET GOJO!” Your ears ring from the sudden bellowing next to you. It takes seconds for you to dial into that mop of white hair on the field. Star player Gojo Satoru is massive but somehow lithe; his muscles bulging as he runs to catch up with an offside ball. His physique is comparable to a statue of a Greek God. It’s too bad you heard his personality is also Greek God worthy; capricious, licentious and cocksure.
“That damn girl needs to get off my sidelines if she can’t stop distracting my players.”
You glance at the “girl” in question. She’s a professional looking young woman your age who you’ve seen around campus before. She’s crouching a respectful distance from the team on the sidelines taking photographs of the players at work. Good to see sexism is alive and well. “Yeah, I can’t believe she has the audacity to be at a professional distance while not using flash in order to be as unobtrusive as possible.”
Yaga shoots you a look that clearly says he’s not amused with your sass, “Keep taking notes on our play style like you did last practice. Fresh eyes can give insight that might be missed otherwise.” He ends his sentence with the wave of a dismissive hand in your direction.
Dumping the binders on Yaga’s bench you pick up a clipboard and find a good spot on the sidelines to observe. Despite being on the University of Tokyo’s women’s D1 soccer team you aren’t very familiar with the men’s team. During the season you were training to chase your own championship dreams. After last week's defeat, and your dreams for this year crushed, you had volunteered to assist the men’s team in preparing for their own race to the top. It was that or take a three week break before practices started again and sitting in your dorm all day sounded like a personal hell after the rigor of these last months.
“YOU'RE LATE AGAIN KAMO! YOU’RE STAYING LATE TO RUN LAPS! NOW GET YOUR ASS IN THE GOAL!” You wince at Yaga’s screaming.
“Yeah, yeah.” A lazy voice responds still sounding groggy from sleep. The guy Coach Yaga is talking to is tying his long hair up into a low bun as he strolls over to the goal. Yaga’s yelling clearly did not light a fire under Kamo’s ass like he wanted.
Choso Kamo, 5’11, solid build, wide shoulders with a tapered waist, impressive reach, and massive hands. He tended to be a little slow, especially at the beginning of a match, but once he got warmed up he was a force to be reckoned with. It was almost impossible to score on him in the last half of a game. You were up until three AM last night watching youtube compilations of his best saves over the season. He was good, great even. Which is why it pissed you off so much that every day you were here shadowing he showed up late and slacked off half the practice.
He sits on the ground in his goal area tying his cleats and putting on his gloves. A loud swish of the net is heard as Suguru Geto launches a ball past Kamo’s head just barely missing making contact.
Choso shoots an unamused look at Geto before flipping him the middle finger. When he finishes fixing his gloves, flexing to make sure they are tight enough, he mumbles. “Alright, go ahead.”
You're watching Nanami Kento, the midfielder, line up shots for practice penalty kicks when you feel a pair of eyes on you. Turning you meet a set of dark orbs watching you. You meet Choso’s gaze head on but are unable to decipher what exactly he’s thinking. He just looks exhausted. Why the hell is he staring at you like that? This isn’t the first time you’ve caught him staring at you over the last three days of your volunteer work. It’s not like he’s checking you out since he’s making prolonged awkward eye contact and he couldn’t look more disinterested. Did he recognize you from the women’s team? You doubted it. Women’s soccer was notoriously underrated and underfunded. The idea of the men’s team players watching you play was delusional at best.
His eyes are locked on you when a speeding ball kicked by Nanami slams him in the gut. There are a few “Ohhhhh” sounds from other players as Kamo groans, doubling over in pain. You can’t help but laugh at the unexpected blow landing. Your hand goes up to cover your mouth when you realize your laugh was a little too loud and a few people are looking at you incredulously. Oh please, getting hit is part of being a goalie. You can’t help but grin and jibe, “Come on Kamo, I’ve seen middle school kids take hits better!”
You hear him mutter something under his breath followed by a clear, “Shit.” as Satoru Gojo laughs obnoxiously in the background.
“CHOSO WATCH THE FIELD NOT THE SIDELINE DISTRACTIONS!” Coach Yaga’s yell causes you to blush a little at his implying it’s your fault in him getting nailed.
As Choso stands he pins you with a heated look, his onyx eyes raking over you before turning back to the field, his demeanor serious for the remainder of practice.
~~
You're standing next to Coach Yaga reading your notes to him as he buckles his pomeranian into the front passenger seat. He doesn’t seem to actually be listening to you but you aren’t in the mood to type it all up and email it to him later tonight.
Yaga’s car is the last one in the parking lot other than your own. You had both stayed late reviewing plays while the majority of the team went out for food and Choso begrudgingly started his late to practice laps. “So I think if you have Nanami focus on his-”
“SHIT!”  You jump in surprise as your review is interrupted by a heated yell from Yaga. He pulls a binder out of his back seat. He stares at his watch before cursing some more, “I need to leave now. Can you take this and put it in my office and then lock it up?”
You can't help but frown and sigh as you take the key he is holding out to you. “Alright.”
He nods before getting in and starting up his car, “Thanks, bring the keys back tomorrow morning before practice. Oh, and email me those notes you took today.”
The smile you give him is more of a grimace as he drives off without further comment. “Asshole…” you mutter under your breath as you start the trek back to the men’s locker room. Maybe you shouldn’t have volunteered to help out the men’s team. You hadn’t been ready to leave the field behind for the season yet but this wasn’t what you imagined when they asked for an assist.
You walked into the men’s locker room noting the main door was already unlocked. Yaga wants you to lock up but he couldn’t even manage to. You can’t help but wrinkle your nose a little at the smells emanating from the main locker area, especially from the questionable hamper full of dirty towels.
Sighing you think, If this locker room is a mirror image of the womens, Yaga’s office will be in the back left corner. Heading in that direction it isn’t until you see Yaga’s office that you register a single shower is running in the background. You are so used to hearing showers run in the girls locker room that you didn’t even register the sound as unusual. You look towards the hallway of lined showers knowing that each shower cubicle has a shower curtain pulled across it obstructing any outsider’s view.
That has to be Kamo. You thought he had left already but clearly that was not the case. You can’t help but reflexively bite your bottom lip. Mind thinking about his gleaming pale skin with rivulets of water racing down his hard muscles. You feel thirsty at the thought but shake your head scolding yourself. The man is just trying to clean up after his workout and you’re out here like a damn voyeur salivating over nothing. You quickly cross in front of the shower room to unlock Yaga’s office. You just need to be quiet, drop the binder off and then wait outside till Kamo is done so you can lock up. Simple.
After placing the binder, you exit the office, your hands fumbling and dropping the keys. Cursing under your breath you bend to pick them up but forget the office door is weighted. You jump in surprise when it slams shut loudly. The noise echoes through the locker room. So much for being quiet, you pick the keys up in a hurry deciding to book it to the exit when a voice stops you, “Hey, can you pass me my conditioner!? I’m an idiot and left it by my locker.” You freeze staring at the shower area before turning to look at the lockers. A wooden bench towards the back has a bottle of high quality conditioner and a fluffy white towel folded on it. Did he really forget his towel too? What was with this guy?
You sigh, deciding to grab his conditioner and towel for him. You would just leave it right by the shower door and he would be none the wiser who did it. Problem solved. Picking up the items you read the label on the way back to the shower room. Damn this was like thirty dollars a bottle. Okay Kamo, I see you. You can’t resist flicking the bottle open and taking a quick whiff; the scent is sweet with a hint of coconut. You can’t help but blush as you shut the bottle again. You shouldn’t have done that. You don’t need to know what Kamo smells like.
You approach the shower area and he must have heard your sneakers because he’s talking to you again, “Thanks can you just put it where I can reach. I was dreading having to run out and freeze my ass off.” He’s talking so casually, he must assume you are one of his teammates who forgot something.
You swallow the lump in your throat. Approaching, you decide to hang the clean towel over the top of the curtain rod so that he has it when he finishes. You gently lay it over the top, careful to place it where you normally would your own, so that it doesn’t get wet from the incoming stream of water. You hear a note of surprise in his voice as he registers the towel thrown over the top. “Dude, thanks, you're the best. I knew I forgot something else.”
You're flushing heavily at the casual way he’s speaking to you. You need to get out. Leaning over you slip the bottle of conditioner into the corner of the shower, your fingers just barely pushing it around the plastic curtain so he can grab it. Mission accomplished. You release the bottle and go to stand fully when a large wet hand grabs your own. He must have noticed your feminine fingers. The squeak that leaves your throat is terrified as you try to pull away in shock. The shower curtain rustles as it’s pushed a few inches open from the inside and Choso Kamo is blinking at you in surprise. Even though he’s the one holding onto you he looks shocked at you being there, “L/n, F/n?”
God he looks divine. His hair is down and wet, the strands in the front come to just above his eyes while the remaining dark locks rest on his shoulders blades. You’ve never been this close to him before and the prominent scar across his nose draws your eyes briefly. You note his chiseled jaw and the way his Adam's apple bobs on his thick muscular neck when he swallows.
You’re panicking, hand pulling away from him in quick tugs but his fingers are looped easily around your wrist. The pressure is minimal but his grip is a goalie’s vise, “I-I’m sorry. Yaga asked me to lock up and then you asked for conditioner so-” your vision flies to his hold on your wrist. His hands are calloused and rugged like your own; the veins running up them cause a heat to rush down you. His one hand dwarfs your own and looking up from them your panicked eyes meet his still confused ones, “Please let me go!”
It’s almost like he just now registers he’s holding you there. “Oh.” He releases you immediately, his face turning a shade of bright red. “Sorry!” You yank your hand from his stepping back and rubbing it reflexively. He looks worried as he steps forward towards you, his chest coming out from behind the curtain, only his lower half is obscured now, “Did I hurt you?”
Dear God. If you thought he was beautiful before… He’s stunning, your mouth dries up completely as your eyes scan down his body. His pecs are massive and while he isn’t sculpted like a bodybuilder he has this thickness to his physique that lets you know he is all strength and dexterity under his light layer of fat. His v-cut is prominent and a smattering of dark black hair travels down to hide behind the curtain. You realize you're staring and he isn’t in any hurry to cover himself up.
After a long silence his voice is deeper than normal and a little husky when he speaks, his earlier question forgotten, “You’re going to make me blush.”
You flush heavily, your eyes going up to meet his own. You clench your legs together feeling a familiar desire rolling through you. An itch you haven’t scratched since before the soccer season began. “I’m sorry, you have a nice body.”
His breath catches when your eyes meet his. There’s desire written in them and he feels himself becoming hard. He lets out a groan when you apologize, “God don’t apologize, fuck. I’ve been trying to find an excuse to talk to you for months. You’re stunning.” His eyes are burning into your own with unmasked wanting. He adjusts the shower curtain and your eyes lower to see a very thick erection pressing against it.
You don’t even register when your tongue slides against your lips as desire pools in your nether regions. “Months?” He watches you push your legs together trying to make some friction to help with the escalating arousal you are feeling.
“I-I watch all your games.” He replies a little hoarsely and your gaze shoots up to him in surprise.
You blink in confusion, “You should have just said Hi.”
He swallows before he mumbles out, “Hi.”
You can’t help but laugh at that and he gives an awkward chuckle in response. There’s a hot naked man in front of you who wants you and you haven’t had a good fuck in a long time. Your blood is pulsing straight to your throbbing pussy at this point. Fortune favors the bold right? Your eyes dip down to his erection still barely covered, “You want help with that?”
He groans, “Fuck, yes.” He releases the curtain and it slides to the side. His beautiful cock on display for you. He’s cut, average in length but girthy with a delicious curve. A mesmerizing vein runs up the bottom of it. The tip is flushed a bright red with precum and water dripping off his shaft. “Join me?”
He didn’t have to ask you twice. You kick off your shoes and socks. Your shirt is above your head in moments then you shimmy down your skin tight athletic pants. Not wasting any time you remove your bra and panties and move to join him. You pull the shower curtain open and wrap it behind you, hiding you from anyone’s potential sight but his. It’s like a totally new environment once you're inside the small cube. The air is hot and misty as the water sprays Choso’s back. Droplets fly through the air and land on you sporadically.
“I have to be dreaming…” he murmurs, his eyes going up and down your body. “That’s the only way this could be happening.”
You can’t help but laugh at that. “Are you just going to stand there or are you going to kiss me?”
His warm wet body is pressed against your own in moments. Lips crashing against one another in a battle for dominance where neither party cares if they win. His one arm is wrapped around your waist pulling you against him while his other cups your cheek gently. The kisses are intense and needy. All your nerve endings are on fire as his tongue traces the seam of your lips asking for entry. You open your mouth hungrily granting it access; your own tongue eager to meet his.
You feel Choso’s erection pressing against your stomach. Before you can reach down and touch it his hands go to take your own. You blink in surprise as he holds both your wrists in one hand. “I can’t let you do that.”  He chokes out before kissing up your jaw. “I’ll cum before I get inside you.”
Before you can protest his free hand begins palming one breast and then the other. His fingers lightly pinching and massaging your nipples causing shivers to ripple down you. A moan escapes your lips, as his head dips down to take your breast into his mouth. He suckles you for a moment before using his tongue to tease your nipple. “Kamo..” you keen when his mouth releases you with an audible pop. A trail of spit briefly leading from your breast to his mouth.
“Call me Choso, say my name.” He moans taking your neglected breast into his warm mouth, his sucks and teasing motions stoke your flames of desire.
A hard suck makes you oblige him, his name falling from your lips in a gasp, “Fuck, Choso.” The heat and humidity alongside his scorching touches have you lost in sensations. You don’t even register when he releases his mouth from your tits and is back to kissing you dumb against the tiled wall. “Can I eat you out?” He rasps out between fevered sucks on your neck and chest.
“Yes, but I want you inside me.” You whimper out. The curtain of the shower briefly opens from your movements, sending a wave of chilled air over you. Skin pebbling in response, it grants a brief relief to the overwhelming heat.
Choso wastes no time after your acquiesce. He’s on his knees looking up at you, his pupils blown with desire, “I’ve cum to the idea of this so many times.. and it doesn’t even hold a candle in comparison.” That’s all the warning you get before he leans forward one strong hand on your hip the other bringing your right leg up to hook over his shoulder. His lips are on you kissing your inner thighs, light bites and sucks move to the tender flesh of your vulva. You're crying out his name when he finally decides to lick a stripe up the center of your cunt. His tongue lapping up the sweetness of your essence. You feel him groan against you, the vibrations making you whine. His tongue is dipping into your core leaving teasing strokes inside you. His nose bumping against your clit as he nudges against you needily.
Your fingers find and twist into his hair. Holding him close to you despite the fact that he has no intention of leaving. You feel yourself getting closer to release the tightness forming in your belly. “Cho- I want you inside me. I’m gonna, fuck, I’m gonna cum.”
“Wanna taste it.” He mumbles petulantly as he leans back a little to see your half lidded eyes watching him.
“Choso, let me cum on your cock.”
Your dirty words make him groan, “God where have you been all my life, fuck.” He lowers your leg gently, watching the way your chest is heaving trying to catch your breath.
Choso stands, ready to devour you when he suddenly deadpans, “Fuck.. need a condom.” Before you can register what he even said his naked ass is out of the shower and running towards the locker area. You lean out the curtain in surprise seeing him open various players' lockers before finally finding one and muttering, “I owe you one Gojo.”  He’s rushing back over like you might change your mind. You're watching his erection bounce as he enters the shower room again. He’s biting the condom wrapper open and putting it on his length when he hits a slippery patch and almost wipes out.
The shocked and confused look on his face as he almost falls on his ass is enough to have you doubled over laughing. This was by far the weirdest hookup you’d ever had and you were enjoying the hell out of it.
“Shit!” He bites out going to enter the shower again. The water he left while exiting makes him slide precariously as he grabs the curtain for support. Your eyes widen as he pulls and the entire curtain rod falls with a crash Choso hitting the ground this time.
You can’t help it, you're crying laughing as he looks up at you soaked and wrapped in the broken curtain. “Choso, what the fuck?” You can’t catch your breath and your sides hurt from laughing.
He was looking up at you in disappointment but the more you laughed the more he couldn’t help but smile in return. His own deeper chuckle echoing, “I really fucked that up.”
You're wiping your eyes, you can’t remember the last time you laughed this hard. You hold out your hand to help him up as he untangles himself.
The sexual mood is broken, he’s flaccid and his ass is throbbing in pain from him landing on it. He stands next to you totally embarrassed but you're not even laughing at him, just the absurdity of the situation. When his sheepish gaze meets yours you give him a grin pulling him back under the water. “Shower sex is not as easy as they make it out to be.” You tease leaning forward to peck the corner of his lips before tapping his shoulder and indicate he should turn his back to you. “Let me condition your hair.”
He nods, turning. His embarrassment slowly fades as you gently massage his conditioner into his hair. The domesticity of the gesture makes his heart clench with want. You are so much more than anything he could have imagined. He wants to learn everything about you and have you beside him from now on. He just hopes he didn’t ruin it with this botched hook up.
You’re finishing up rinsing his hair when he mumbles out, “I really want to see you again even though this…” his words fade off. He can’t see the smile you are giving his back as he continues, “What are you doing this evening?”
You wait until he turns to look at you, a mischievous look on your face, “I was hoping you.”

an. hi. its me! Giselle, or gi, or gigi to few (not to be confused w gg, that is one of my moots. she makes really cool art.) n e ways here is the awaited Prologue for Iron Fist. Oh goodness I'm so nervous. I just want to make a few things clear. the reader is an author (obvs). She's recently graduated uni and is Latina! I write with a woc!r in mind always. I try to be as inclusive as possible, pero porque soy Mexicana, r might lean towards being more Mexican but I'll try to keep her Spanish standard and not be too specific to my family's culture. much love! hope you enjoy <3
please don't forget to reblog! likes do nothing to boost engagement.
Your foot taps against the floor. The damn blank document stares back at you. Mocking you is what it’s really doing. Fuck you, you think, I achieved my goal. I published a book and it is a damn bestseller! Only problem is that the readers want more. It’s been… some time since your first book. And sure, Jess said you can take a break before starting a new project. But you also know that it’s good to ride on existing publicity. At least be able to make an announcement that you’re writing something while all this excitement lasts. Maybe you should write something about vampires. You love vampires and how they fit into romance and how them drinking blood is a euphemism just a bit away from, the whole cannibalism-equals-all-consuming-love trope and how when a vampire attacks it’s often an allegory for rape and— but you have nothing to add to the conversation. You have nothing new to say, no new perspective or hot take, or twist. You have nothing. No ideas.
Not a single word on the page.
You have an idea, leaning forward to peck the keyboard. “F-u-c-k. T-h-i-s!” You highlight the text and italicize it.
Fuck this. At least it’s words on the page.
You reach for your cup and take a sip. “If all else fails I can ride on the rest of the signing bonus and royalties for a bit since the book is doing good, and once that dries up, I can apply to be circulation assistant at a library or something.” You sigh and take another sip. “But nobody has to know for now.” You get up, searching for your phone. You find it resting on the arm of the couch, you grab it, sliding onto the cushions, resting your head where your phone just was. “God, don’t make me a one hit wonder, I wanna be a star. I wanna be the one to push that bitch Colleen Hoover into obsoletion. Please God. Please.”
You open your phone and look for your mother on speed dial.
“Hola, nena!” Your mama’s voice is happy, she must be having a good day. You move into the kitchen. You need a snack.
“Hey, mama, how are you?” You hold the cell with your shoulder as you look through your pantry.
“Good, good,” you find a pack of roasted seaweed snacks and grab it.
“I went on a date anoche.” Your shoulder drops and the pack of seaweed slips out of your grasp.
Mi mami fue a una cita. Con un man! You stand there, trying to process that she is actually back on the dating scene.
“How did it—” you aren’t holding your phone anymore. You use the wall as support to lower yourself to pick up your phone and snack.
“—ay, mami, lo siento, mi cellular se cayo de mi mano.”
“Todo bien, hija! I’m glad you’re ok.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m ok, I’m ok. Anyways— how was the date? What’s he like? Am I going to have a stepfather soon?” you joke.
“My time for marriage is gone, muñeca, I’m just looking for companionship, pero, tu lo sabes.” You hear some subtle clinking in the background of the call, she must be stirring her coffee. You open your snack and park yourself on the couch. “Are you writing?” Ugh. Not you, too.
“I was, just finished for a bit before I called you.”
“You called me to procrastinate.” You choke on your seaweed from the accusation.
You clear your throat, “I called to check in with you. I call you practically every day.”
“But right now you called me to check up on me as an excuse to not write. Nena, I know you.”
“Okay, fine. I might be having some writer’s block,” you admit, sighing.
“And that’s okay, nena, but then you need to get out, get some inspiration. Allow the world to give you a story.” There’s mama, with her easier-said-than-done advice. But, maybe you should get out of the house.
“Alright, I’ll go out soon.”
“Tonight,”
“—I will go out to the Chinese place across the street and nothing more. I’ll talk with Hobie when he gets back to see if he has any ideas.” You hear your mama make a noise in her throat.
“You still live with that boy?” Here it comes. You’ve lived with Hobie Brown for three years and have known him for five. She’s always been apprehensive of him, since he’s radical and looks like he’s been in jail, with all the metal in his face, and why does his hair look like that? But Hobie is the one who’s kept you sane all these years. He’s held you while you cried and pushed out of your comfort zone when you were getting too stuck into your routines, most likely by dragging you to a concert or a protest. You help him thrift and flip clothes and ever since that one time his stylist had an emergency and canceled, you now help him tighten his wicks every so often. On days like that the two of you stay in, watching nostalgic movies and listening to any demos he’s recorded recently. He’s like a brother to you at this point.
“Yes, mama, I still live with Hobie. Nothing’s changed.” You move the phone down to your chest and take a deep breath.
“I didn’t like him when I first met him,” you clench your jaw as she continues— “…and although he’s one of those kids, I can tell he is a good boy. I’m glad he takes care of you.” You relax. “But it wouldn’t hurt to have someone you could kiss.” “It would be nice, but right now it’s not happening.” “Alright, muñeca. I’ll leave you alone for now, but keep your eyes open for a nice man.”
“I will, con cuidado, mami, besitos.” You make a kissing noise into the phone, and she responds with a goodbye of her own, and you wait for her to hang up the call.
You sigh, and look at the coffee table. Hobie left his song book at home, weird. It’s open to the song he was working on the other day. It’s a slower song, you can still hear the melody. You drum your fingers to the tune. He’s on an unfinished verse. You pick up a pen from the little catch-all dish and scribble down a line or two.
Hobie weaves through the roar of chattering, anticipating fans and into the tunnel, and walks past employees and into Miguel's prep room to see him tying his shoes. “Hey,” Miguel looks up. “Hey.”
“Are you excited?” He moves to sit by the boxer, shimmying up against his shoulder.
“Haven’t really been excited for one of these in a while.” Miguel breathes.
“Well, one step closer to retirement!” Hobie bounces out of his seat. He turns to face his friend, putting a hand on his shoulder. “You’re gonna do great, you big fuckin’ bear of a man.” He ruffle’s Miguel’s hair.
Miguel gives a half-ass hum in response.
“Well then, I’ll be out there, mate, cheerin’ you on.” He puts his hands in his vest pockets and walks out the room.
As he reaches the empty doorframe, Miguel speaks up. “Thank you, Hobie.”
“Anything for you, mate.” Hobie nods and goes to join the audience. Miguel fastens his gloves and puts on his robe. He warms up waiting for his coach.
“Ready, O’Hara?”
Miguel turns around. “Always ready for a fight.” He clenches his jaw. Walking down that hallway, the festive colors lighting up his path and the music blaring, he does his little bit, the movements molded into muscle memory.
This is it. This is his last year fighting. If he gets world champ again, he’s free.
Soon, he gets to fight his last fight. And dammit, the world championship will be his last match. Then, he’s never gonna have to come back.
He weaves under the ropes, entering the ring. Sitting on the stool, he shrugs off the robe and lets Carlos put the mouthguard in.
“You are going to show this guy exactly why people call you el oso!” Miguel beats his gloves together and nods. He might not like his job right now, but he really wants to hit something and goddammit if his opponent doesn’t look so beatable right now.
Coach Carlos steps out of the way, and Miguel stands to walk to the ref as he calls for him to center.
“We went over the rules in the dressing room.” Right before Hobie got here. “I want to remind you to protect yourself at all times, and obey my commands.” Ring the damn bell already. “God bless you both,” I don’t need it but this kid might. “Touch up,” here we go. He touches gloves with his newbie opponent and each goes back to their respective corners.
Miguel takes an orthodox stance.
The bell rings.
Miguel lands the first punch. He also lands the last.

“Steve?” Y/n asked, tears in her eyes as she called the phone at Family Video.
“Y/n,” Steve sounded panicked. “What’s wrong?”
“No one is answering their phones.” Y/n breathed heavily, hand on the wall to try and keep herself upright. “I-I think I’m having the baby.”
“What?” Steve shouted, making a few angry mothers glare his way as they looked at the movies on the shelves. He lowered his voice. “What do you mean?”
“I’ve been hurting for a few days.” Y/n cried. “I tried to stop it, Steve, but it just hurts so bad. I can’t take it.”
“Is your mom home?” Steve asked. “Or Eddie?”
“Would I be calling you if they were?” Y/n shouted.
“Right.” Steve sighed, shaking his head. “I’m on my way, Y/n. Keep trying to call Eddie.”
“Okay.” Tears were streaming down her face. She put the phone back on the receiver and sobbed. Picking the phone back up, she re-dialed Eddie’s number.
Eddie hasn’t spoken to Y/n since he fell out with Dustin. Y/n knew he needed some space, but she didn’t think that he’d ignore her. It has been two days since she last saw Eddie and two days since the cramping started to get really bad. She didn’t tell anyone in fear that she would instantly be put into the hospital. However, she was really regretting not telling anyone how bad they actually were. Because now she was home alone. Dustin was with his friends, her mother was at work, and Eddie was M.I.A.
“Hello?” Y/n sighed in relief upon hearing the voice of Uncle Wayne.
“Uncle Wayne,” Y/n said. “Is Eddie there?”
“Y/n,” Wayne began. “Is everything okay?”
“Is Eddie there, Wayne?” Y/n is becoming impatient.
“He just went out to the store.” Wayne said. “He should be back soon. Why?”
“I’m about to go to the hospital.” Y/n explained. “The baby’s coming.”
“Right now?” Wayne shouted into the phone. “O-okay. Okay, okay, I’ll go find Eddie. We’ll meet you there!”
“Thank you, Wayne.” Y/n said, putting the phone back onto the receiver. She hobbled over to the dining table and sat down in the closest seat. Her hands were cradling her belly as she groaned in pain.
“Y/n!” Steve pounded on the front door of her house after speeding into her driveway. He’s surprised that a cop didn’t pull him over, he felt like he was driving like Max. “Y/n!” He knocked again. He peeked through the windows and saw Y/n sitting at the table, eyes scrunched up in pain. He quickly realized that she wouldn't be able to stand to open the door, so he began to look for the spare key. Upon finding the key, which was hidden in a potted plant, he ran to Y/n’s side.
“Steve,” Y/n gasped, reaching out for him. “You gotta get me to a hospital, now!”
“Okay,” He nodded, placing his hands on her waist to help her stand. “But we have to walk to the car first, okay?”
“Okay.” Y/n nodded, wiping away the tears on her cheeks. Her legs were shaking, as was the rest of her. She was nervous, very nervous. She had expected this to go smoothly. She had expected Eddie to be the one to drive her to the hospital. Everything was going wrong, all wrong.
“Wait, Steve,” Y/n grabbed onto his upper arm after she was sat in the passenger seat. “Go grab my bag. It’s in my closet.”
“Okay.” He nodded, quickly running back inside through the front door, which Steve forgot to close, to grab the bag. Y/n cried and leaned her head against the headrest.
“Oh god, oh god,” She cried. “This can’t be happening right now.”
“Eddie!” Wayne called out, running up to Eddie, who was standing in front of the chips at the gas station.
“Wayne,” Eddie’s eyes widened. “What’s going on?”
“Y/n’s in labor.” He said, grabbing onto Eddie’s elbow and pulling him towards the front of the store.
“What?” Eddie’s heart dropped into his stomach. “What do you mean?”
“She called the house and said she’s having the baby.” Wayne explained as they both walked to the car. Eddie got into the passenger seat and ran his hands over his face.
“W-where, where is she?” He asked Wayne as he drove down the road. “Did I miss it? Did she already have the baby?”
“I don’t know.” Wayne shrugged. “But she called about twenty minutes ago asking for you. We’re meeting her at the hospital.”
“Oh my god.” Eddie leaned forward, resting his head on his knees. He sat up and leaned his head back, taking deep breaths. “I’m about to be a father.”
“Get ready, boy.” Wayne smiled slightly, hitting him on the arm. “Your life’s about to change.”
“Was she mad?” Eddie asked, worried. “I-I haven’t talked to her in a couple days.”
“I know that, you idiot.” Wayne grunted. “But she seemed more worried than anything.”
“Worried?” Eddie frantically asked. “Worried why?”
“Eddie, she’s having a baby.” Wayne scoffed. “Wouldn’t you be worried too?”
“I am worried.”
“Well, there you have it.”
Steve kept throwing worried glances towards Y/n, who was focused on her breathing and trying not to have the baby in Steve’s car. Although Steve isn’t the father, he felt like he was going to vomit. He didn’t know how babies worked, he didn’t know how labor worked, he didn’t know how any of this stuff worked. At one point, Y/n had yelled at him because he kept swerving the car to avoid all of the potholes, which just pissed her off.
“Are we almost there, Steve?” Y/n whimpered. “I don’t think I can take much more.”
“Yeah,” He nodded. “We’re about five minutes away. Just hold on, Y/n.”
“I’m sorry for this, Steve.” She sniffled. “I didn’t know who else to call.”
“Don’t be sorry, Y/n.” He shook his head. “You’re one of my best friends, I’d do anything for you.”
“You mean it?” She asked, bottom lip quivering.
“Of course.” He answered genuinely.
“Well,” She reached over to grab his free hand. “If Eddie doesn’t make it in time, can you hold my hand?”
“Yeah,” He instantly said. “You can hold my hand if you want to.”
“Thank you, Steve.”
Eddie didn’t wait for Wayne to put the car in park once in the hospital’s parking lot. He ran into the hospital and frantically searched for someone he could talk to. His eyes locked onto the reception desk and he ran over, nearly knocking over a few nurses, who glared after him.
“My girlfriend, she’s having a baby.” Eddie told the receptionist, who just blinked at him.
“Congratulations.” She said, sarcastically.
“Where is she?” He asked. The woman sighed and grabbed the patient information book.
“What’s her name?” She asked, flipping the book open.
“Y/n L/n.” Eddie said. Wayne soon joined his side and waited for the lady to tell them the information. The receptionist lady shook her head.
“We don’t have anyone here by that name.” Her voice was monotone. “Sorry.”
“What do you mean?” Wayne asked. “She came here.”
“Eddie?” A voice called out, making Eddie and Wayne turn around to see Y/n being supported by Steve.
“Y/n!” Eddie ran towards her and pulled her into a hug. “Oh my god, I was so worried.”
“Eddie, you beat me here?” She asked in surprise as she pulled away from the hug.
“Wayne drives like a psycho.” He laughed, making her smile slightly. The happy moment was soon over as Y/n hunched over in pain again.
“Hey!” Eddie shouted. “My girl’s having a baby. Someone help.” It was as if those were the magic words, as a ton of nurses flocked towards Y/n. They got her in a wheelchair and pushed her towards the maternity ward, Eddie, Wayne, and Steve following her. Just as she was through the double doors, one of the nurses stopped the three men.
“Family only.” The nurse said.
“He’s the father.” Steve said, shoving Eddie forward.
“Y-yeah,” Eddie nodded. “That’s my wife in there.”
“Okay,” The nurse nodded. “Follow me.” Eddie glanced back at his uncle and Steve as the doors closed. Wayne gave Eddie thumbs up as Steve waved through the window on the door.
“Hey, sweetheart.” Eddie smiled the second he laid his eyes on Y/n, who lay in the hospital bed, numerous wires and tubes attached to her body. Eddie was told to wait outside of the room for a few moments whilst the nurses helped Y/n prepare for birth. The same nurse, who had let Eddie go with Y/n, was the one that told Eddie he can finally go into the room.
“Hi.” She smiled weakly. “I don’t hurt anymore, Eds.”
“No?” He pulled a chair to the side of the bed and grabbed her hand. “How come?”
“They gave me a shot in my back.” She explained. “It makes the pain go away.”
“It’s called Epidural.” A nurse explained as she wrote down Y/n’s vitals.
“E-epidural?” Eddie asked, looking at the nurse. “Is that going to hurt her? Or the baby?”
“Not one bit.” The nurse flashed a comforting smile. “It actually makes both mom and baby very comfortable.”
“Really?” He sighed in relief. “Thank god.” Both the nurse and Y/n laughed.
“You two are going to be amazing parents.” The nurse complimented.
“Thank you.” Eddie and Y/n said at the same time, making them look at each other and giggle. The nurse gave the pair one last smile before exiting the room.
“Are you scared?” Y/n asked, playing with a strand of Eddie’s hair.
“Terrified.” He breathed out. “What if the baby like… rejects me or some shit?”
“It’s not going to reject you, Eddie.” Y/n rolled her eyes. “You’re their daddy.”
“Thought I was your daddy.” Eddie smirked. Y/n tisked and waved him off.
“Alright,” She groaned. “That’s enough. Quit being ridiculous, you’re about to become a father.”
“You love me.” He leaned up and pressed a kiss on Y/n’s forehead.
“I do.” She nodded, looking into his eyes. “You know, I hope they have your eyes, Eds.”
“Yeah?” He smiled. “Well, I hope they have their mama’s good looks.”
“Oh my gosh.” She laughed, shaking her head. “You’re insane, Eds.”
“Steve!” Dustin shouted upon seeing his best friend sitting in the hospital waiting room. Steve looked up at the sound of Dustin’s voice and stood up. “Where’s Y/n?”
“She’s up in the room with Eddie.” He answered. They were there for about four hours. Dustin and Claudia were unable to be contacted, as Dustin was riding around town on his bike and Claudia was at work, where there was very limited phone usage.
“Eddie’s here?” Dustin asked, prompting Steve to nod in confusion.
“Why wouldn’t he be?” Steve asked, glancing between Dustin and Claudia.
“Dusty and Eddie had a fight when we found out Eddie was the real father.” Claudia explained, adjusting her purse on her shoulder. “He hasn’t spoken to Y/n in a couple days.”
“What?” Steve’s eyebrows scrunched in confusion. “I thought they’re on good terms now?”
“They are.” Claudia nodded, then sent a stern look towards Dustin. “But Dustin, here, said some very mean things to Eddie and scared him away.”
“Why would you do that?” Steve asked. “You practically worship the guy.”
“Worshipped, past tense.” Dustin grit. “He lied to me.”
“Well, you can’t be mad forever.” Steve placed his hands on his hips and shook his head at Dustin. “He’s the father to your niece or nephew.”
“Yeah.” Dustin sighed, shifting his eyes towards the ground. “I know.”
“Uhh…” Wayne trailed, shuffling over to Dustin and Claudia. “I’m Wayne. Wayne Munson, Eddie’s uncle.”
“Claudia,” Claudia shook Wayne’s hand. “Y/n’s mother.”
“Nice to finally meet you.” Wayne smiled. “Both of you.”
“Ditto.” Claudia smiled. “Oh, but isn’t this exciting? We’re about to be grandparents!”
“I don’t know if I’m old enough to be a grandfather.” Wayne laughed. “But those two are so happy together.”
“Oh, I know.” Claudia gushed. “Y/n has never been happier than she has been with Eddie. It’s sweet.”
“Very.”
“Okay, mom,” A younger nurse clapped her hands as she walked towards the end of Y/n’s bed and lifted her blanket. “We’re going to check your dilation.”
“Okay.” Y/n nodded, her hand grabbing onto Eddie’s. The nurse placed Y/n’s feet onto the stirrups and checked her cervix.
“Have you felt a pushing sensation yet?” The nurse asked.
“Yeah.” Y/n said. Eddie squeezed her hand and gave her a comforting smile.
“Alright, you’re almost ten centimeters dilated and I can see your baby’s head.” The nurse said, covering Y/n’s legs back up. “I’ll go get the doctor and you’ll soon have your baby.” The nurse smiled and soon left the room. Eddie’s eyes went wide and he started to sweat in nervousness.
“Oh my god. They can see the head.” He let go of Y/n’s hand and ran his hands through his hair. “You’re about to have a baby.”
“I know.” Y/n gave a nervous smile. “I’m so scared.” Tears came to her eyes and her hands shook.
“Me too, sweetheart,” Eddie grabbed her hands again. “Me too.”
“I can’t wait to meet them.” Y/n smiled through her tears.
“Me either.” Eddie smiled. “Oh, do you have an extra hair tie?”
“Yeah, in my bag.” She pointed to the corner of the room where her hospital bag sat. Eddie turned and grabbed her bag, searching through the pockets. “Why?”
“You’re having a baby.” He stated, fishing out the hair tie and pulling his hair back. “It’s about to get messy here.”
“Eddie!” Y/n laughed, shaking her head. “You’re ridiculous.”
“You love me!” He quipped with a smirk.
“Yeah, whatever.”
“Miss L/n?” The doctor asked, walking into the room about two minutes later. “You ready to have a baby?”
“What would happen if I said no?” Y/n laughed nervously.
“Well,” The doctor smiled. “You’d still have a baby.”
“Then I guess I’m ready.” She grabbed Eddie’s hand and squeezed tightly as the doctor placed her feet back onto the stirrups.
“Alrighty.” The doctor sat down on a stool at the foot of the bed and began to give instructions. “I’m going to count to three and on three, I want you to push as hard as you can.”
“Oh my god.” Y/n screwed her eyes shut and Eddie shuffled his feet, becoming increasingly nervous.
“One,” The doctor began. “Two,”
“You got this, sweetheart.” Eddie whispered to Y/n, rubbing her shoulder gently.
“Three!”
“Eddie,” One of the nurses said after about ten minutes of pushing. “Look down, you can see your baby’s head.”
“Yeah?” Eddie moved a bit towards the end of the bed and looked between Y/n’s legs. He felt a little queasy at all of the blood, but his gaze was focused on his baby’s head. “Oh my god, they have a lot of hair.”
“Yes, a lot of it!” The same nurse agreed. “They got that from you, dad.”
“God, babe, they have so much hair.” Eddie told Y/n, who was focused on pushing still. Her face was beat red, sweat covered her entire body.
“Ugh!” Y/n groaned, taking in deep breaths. “I don’t know how much longer I can do this.”
“You got it, mom.” The nurse on her other side said. “Just keep doing what you’re doing.”
“I can’t.” Y/n cried. “I’m so tired!”
“A few more pushes until your baby’s out.” She comforted. “Just do a few more and then you’ll be done.”
“I can’t, I can’t!” Eddie buried his face in Y/n’s neck and rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb, whispering encouraging words to her.
“Two more big pushes, Y/n.” The doctor said from between her legs. “Ready, one, two-”
Y/n’s discomfort faded away the second she heard her baby’s cries. Loud, piercing screams flooded the hospital room. Both Eddie and Y/n burst into tears as well. Eddie’s eyes never left his baby as they were placed onto Y/n’s chest.
“Eddie,” The doctor asked, handing Eddie a scissor-like object. “Would you like to cut the cord?”
“Y-yeah.” He wiped his tears away and took the scissors from the doctor.
“It’s not going to hurt the baby, is it?” He panicked. The doctor chuckled and shook his head.
“The baby won’t feel a thing.” He assured.
“How do I do it?” Eddie asked.
“Just cut right here.” The doctor pointed to an area on the umbilical cord. Eddie nodded and gently snipped the fleshy cord.
“Congratulations, mom and dad.” One of the nurses clapped her hands. “You have a baby now!” Eddie looked at Y/n, tears in their eyes and big smiles on their faces.
Wayne was getting anxious and it was making everyone else anxious. His leg was bouncing, his head was in his hands, elbows resting on his knees. Nancy and Robin had shown up a few minutes ago after Steve called saying that the baby was on its way. Nancy was the one that promised Y/n and Eddie that she’d babysit whenever they needed. She has two younger siblings and is the most equipped to care for a baby.
“Can you stop?” Robin asked Wayne, making all eyes turn to her. “It freaks me out when other people freak out. And if, if you’re freaking out, then I freak out, then Y/n won’t let me hold her baby.”
“S-sorry.” Wayne scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.
“I accept your apology.” Robin smiled. Claudia gave Robin a strange look, but kept to herself. Everyone in the group jumped when someone came barreling out of the maternity ward doors. It was Eddie. His eyes were red from crying, his pulled back hair had a million flyaways, and he looked a bit tired.
“Eddie!” Wayne stood up, causing everyone to follow.
“It’s a girl.” Eddie began to cry again. “And she’s so beautiful!”
“A girl!” All the girls cheered. Nancy and Robin screamed and jumped up and down. Steve and Dustin hugged each other in celebration, happy to both be uncles. Claudia and Wayne gave each other a small hug as well, telling each other congratulations.
“Who does she look like more?” Robin asked eagerly. Everyone nodded in agreement.
“She- uh, she has a lot of hair. Curly, like mine.” Eddie began to describe, wiping away some of his tears. “But she’s just… so perfect. She looks more like Y/n than anything, but Y/n disagrees.”
“What’s her name?” Claudia asked.
“Oh, right.” Eddie laughed. “I came out here to tell you that too.”
“It’s Stevie.” Steve stated with a smirk. “I knew it.”
“It’s not Stevie.” Eddie shook his head, laughing. “Actually, Y/n and I compromised on a name. I chose her first name, she chose the middle name.”
“Ugh, enough with the suspense.” Robin groaned, punching Eddie in the arm. “Tell use the damn name!”
“Her name is-”
“Y/n!” Claudia immediately went to Y/n’s side. “Are you okay, sweetie?”
“I’m alright, ma.” Y/n smiled as her mother grabbed her hand. “Tired, but I’m alright.”
“I’m sorry that I wasn’t here for the birth.” Claudia apologized.
“It’s okay.” Y/n shook her head. “Everything went smoothly.”
“Where’s the baby?” Robin asked as she and everyone else filed into the room.
“The nurse just went to check her vitals.” Eddie said. “She’ll be back soon.”
“Wow, so like,” Robin sighed, eyes wide. “You’re a mom now.”
“Yeah.” Y/n giggled. “Crazy, right?”
“Totally crazy.”
“How long did it take to have her?” Nancy asked, crossing her arms.
“Oh, uhmm…” Y/n shrugged her shoulders. “I pushed for about twenty minutes, I think.”
“Wow, that was quick.” Claudia gasped. “I pushed for an hour with you and two for Dusty.”
“Mom.” Dustin blushed.
“Oh, look!” A nurse cheered upon walking back into the room, pushing a cart with the baby inside. “Everyone’s here to see you!” The nurse picked up the baby and placed her into Y/n’s arms, where everyone immediately flocked around. They cooed at the small baby, who was wrapped in a pink blanket.
“Everyone,” Eddie began, sitting by Y/n’s side. “Meet Mallory Rose Munson.”
