A constant thing that I tend to run into irl, whenever I meet a new person who also has an interest in the occult and/or magic, is the immediate assumption that they are more educated or experienced than myself.

It's like- guys, maybe, just maybe, in the era of the internet and information, perhaps we can give people the benefit of the doubt? That they might be educated? At least until they've shown otherwise?

Not every new person you meet is a "baby witch" and, even if they are, not every "baby witch" is looking for help from some random practicioner they just met.

Like, girl, I have unfinished projects from over a decade ago that I refuse to frog on the off chance I decide to finish them. I've found years-old projects I forgot I even started and will impulsively just finish it on the spot. I've started three different projects in the last 2 months, including one I started yesterday, that I already know I may or may not finish within the year depending on motivation.

The number of WIPs I have is infinite.

Ask Game AU: Where Nao grow suspicious of her husbands "friend" and his constant need to involve himself in their lives so she does her own investigation of the man.

1- Nao was glad, at first, that Kotaro was befriending people at work. He's always been slow to trust. With this friend, though, he wasn't. Kotaro ended up working later, and when he wasn't, going out to dinner or drinks with his coworker. Nao didn't want to bring anything up, didn't want to discourage him, and it wasn't like she had been abandoned to watch Hana all day by herself- her parents were there, and Kotaro wasn't out every single night. Just a lot of them.

2- Still, she doesn't say anything, until one night, Kotaro is back and in bed next to her, only a bit of wine left on his lips, when he brings up trying for a second child. She stares at him, and he withdraws, but she tells him it wasn't a bad thing- just, she had no idea he was thinking about it. They were both only children, and Kotaro had spent some years in a home with many other kids and didn't speak fondly of the experience. Kotaro tells her his friend brought it up, is all, and Nao nods, but is more worried.

3- Kotaro's office is hardly difficult to find things in. She discovers that he was the one to hire his friend, which she notes is weird, because he never mentions that detail. The address on record for him doesn't seem to be a place someone lives. The numbers on his bank account are... fine. But she doesn't find any trace of him online. She asks a few questions to Kotaro here and there, what his friends qualifications were, where he went to school. He's not even found there, on any list of graduates or alum forums. It's odd. but maybe he is just very private.

4- Hana brings up having a little sibling. Nao asks her if her father said anything, and she says no, they had a substitute teacher that day who'd told some stories and said he used to have a little brother. When Kotaro comes home late from work, he's unaware of what his daughter said when Nao asks if he's been thinking about it still. He says he has, and she says she still doesn't know. Two kids after all is a lot of work. and he's not home very often anymore.

5- Nao looks at the package of pills, the last row of seven, and opens her next box instead. She's done it before, once, for a vacation to the beach. She'd spotted a little then, but this time its more. Her birth control's been tampered with. Kotaro couldn't have done it, she'd just gotten the new box the day before she'd opened it and what'd he know anyway about it? What had that pharmacist looked like? Perhaps it was a defect, something she should notify the manufacturer about. She resolves to do so. Kotaro doesn't eat dinner with them that night, and when she asks how it went, he tells her that his friend told him such a funny story about his little brother, listen, he'll tell her and she'll laugh. She asks about the brother, Kotaro goes quiet and says his friend talked about him in the past tense. He's got enough dead family of his own to not press more than that. But really, the story was funny. Nao thinks about Hana's substitute- but clearly, Kotaro's friend was at work that day, must be another coincidence. In a line of many bad ones. Kotaro asks her if she'd like a second child. Nao thinks she might have, before all this. Now, she isn't sure what she'd like. Instead, she tells him that he barely sees Hana. is he really sure that he wants another kid? Kotaro goes quiet again, realizes she's right. He offers to take the next day off. Nao tells him she just wants him home on time for dinner.

+1- Kotaro agrees, and the next day Nao's parents watch Hana for an hour while she meets with her friend Shirota Akiho at the park. Akiho gives Nao a hug, and an unopened box of birth control. She tells her that her sister Beru's bridal shower is in a few weeks, and she can give her another box then. She agrees everything sounds weird- but Kotaro probably isn't to blame. Nao goes home. Kotaro on time for dinner that day. But he realizes when he reacts to Hana telling him she is playing heroes before bed (and Nao and Hana react to his reaction) that maybe he should spend more time at home before welcoming someone else into it.

-Lucinda is engaged to the oldest prince in a family of nine where there are 8 brothers and then the youngest is the only girl. She adores her future husband. -Ink Blot is a really dumb mage who acts as a street performer using fake magic despite being an actual mage. He just wants to be the center of attention. -Ruby and Luce are from the same plot (thank you RNG I love the dream wardens). They're part of different pairs and basically just patrol to keep dreams in check. Ruby and Luce also don't really meet each other in canon. Their routes don't overlap but they both interact with the main duo which is Colette and Marcus. (Ruby wants to beat Marcus up while Luce wants to kiss Marcus for what it matters.)

i feel like i see posts like this so much and it's kind of weird bc this applies only to like. a very specific subset of people (ppl who are into phineas and ferb + aware of the "two nickels" thing being repostet a lot) which is like. a subset of people in a fairly specific age range (the right age to have watched phineas and ferb so like. idk 15 - 30 year olds probably being generous) AND are active on specific social media platforms to have seen this joke repeated a lot so it burrows into their memory bc most people who just casually watched phineas and ferb aren't that likely to remember this specific moment (i know i didn't without the meme). and idk this is not a big deal i just find it interesting how often people online will post about something that is extremely specific to them and the social circles they move in as if it's a really universal experience

new problem emerges: if gene was born very late into the year like november or december (which is canon being a sagittarius) and louise is born very early into the year like january or febuary that means technically.... they do not have a two year age gap. they'd spend the majority of the year being only one year apart in age (or around 14 months)

I think it'd be more accurate to say they're actually THREE years apart but still spend the majority of the year being two years apart. for the sake of calculations. or they'd be about 26 months apart. tina and gene would be roughly 30 months apart or 2 years six months :)

for calculation purposes I'm saying that gene was born november 28th 2013, tina was born may 16th 2011 and louise was born feburary 4th 2016 (for season 14/15)

gene and tina would be 2 years 6 months and 12 days apart in age

gene and louise would be 2 years, 2 months and 7 days apart

louise and tina would be 4 years, 8 months and 19 days apart

I don't really have a concept of certain heights like I've often seen people say 5'6 is the threshold for being short/tall and I knoww that's around 170cm (???) but the problem is that I just don't know anyone who is that height IRL. Like my mom's 148cm (4'10 TY google), I'm around the 156 to 158cm range and so is my sister (so like 5'1/5'2), my dad's like 162cm (5'3 ?), yk just barely taller than me. And my friends are all within that range too. And then there's my sister's BF whose height I don't know. Height: a lot. Just like my friend's bf who is tall as fuuuuck ESPECIALLY compared to her cause she's like 150cm ??? 😭😭😭 He's lanky as hell. They've been together for a WHILE and I don't see him often so it was like. Start of high school "well he's just another kid" and then end of high school "WHAT IS THAT!!!!!" I forgor where I was going with this. Basically I have no concept of anything ever. OH I remember when I was into Kagepro yeaaaars ago that Sidu said Konoha was as tall as a vending machine or something so if you stood next to a vending machine it'd be kinda like standing next to him. I'm probably misremembering or just making stuff up cause I was like 11 yrs old or smth. but I'd look at vending machines and go "that's not real people can't do that. but it's anime so I guess it's ok"
