If someone were to ask anyone about you, the first thing they would say is how quiet you are and how much of an opposite you were to Sirius, your obnoxious twin brother. You loved Sirius and when he moved into the Potter home, you were graciously invited and followed Sirius. This is how you became close to The Marauders. Everyone knew that the Black family was dysfunctional but you and Sirius coped with the family troubles in opposing ways. While Sirius was always loud and rebellious, you were more stand-offish and reserved. Sirius always knew this, but his friends found it to be quite the surprise.
The Marauder who was the least put off by your nature was Remus Lupin. He understood the want for silence as well as how annoying your brother could get. This is likely why you may or may not have developed the tiniest crush of sorts on the werewolf. You guys often spent time alone in each other's presence. You with your sketchbook, and Remus with a book. This was your favorite time of the day because Remus often gave you inspiration to draw.
On one hand, he would tell you about whatever story or topic that he was reading about so you would draw whatever he was talking about. On the other hand, he gave you inspiration even when he wasn’t talking. Your sketch book was your prized possession. You never let anyone look at it. Sometimes you would show off your sketches of random things to your friends but that was it. You didn’t want anyone, especially Sirius with his blabbermouth, to see all of the sketches you have of Remus.
Drawing Remus during your time together started off normal. You simply wanted to get better at drawing faces and such and he just happened to be with you. Over time though, as you started to fall for him, your sketches started to become less about anatomy lessons and more about the way Remus looked peaceful curled up reading a book. Or how the scars on his face made him more attractive even if he didn’t think so. Or how his shirt clung to him in all the best ways. In your head, you defended yourself saying that it was still about anatomy, that you're learning how to draw facial expressions, facial features, and how clothing works on a body. But you knew, it had nothing to do with that. You were just desperately in love with Remus and this was the only way to express it.
“What are you thinking about?” Remus asked aloud, peering over his book at you.
Blushing, you replied with a short, “Nothing.”
You focused back on your sketchbook and realized that you were so distracted by your thoughts, that you hadn’t even been drawing. Your sketch was only the outline of a faceless body. You didn’t start drawing Remus and with your mind still distracted, you put your sketchbook down on the coffee table in front of you.
“How is my favorite twin doing?” Sirius asked, ruffling your hair from behind you. He hopped over the back of the couch you and Remus shared and took the seat in between the both of you.
“I’m your only twin,” you grunted, slapping his hand away. “Unless you count James, who’s hip you seem to be attached to all the time.”
“Well, unlike you, I have a best friend. . . Or friends in general,” Sirius offered you a smirk.
“I have a lot of friends. I even have a best friend,” you replied, stubbornly. You didn’t have a single friend outside the Marauder boys. You were decently close with Lily and Marlene, your roommates, but the person you were closest with was Remus. There was no way that you would admit in front of the boys that Remus was the closest thing you had to a best friend, who you have a fat fucking crush on.
“Oh, really? Name one friend, that isn’t one of us 4,” at his request, James and Peter sat down on the chairs around you, coming from seemingly nowhere, and joined the conversation.
“She probably can’t. She loves us too much to have other friends,” James said with the most prideful look on his face.
This argument was petty and stupid, you realized. You weren’t really in the mood to bicker with Sirius right now. You were also embarrassed by their teasing because Remus hadn’t said a single thing to add. You wondered if he knew that you were only close with him.
“It’s called quality over quantity. I know you don’t know what that means with the amount of guys and girls you. . . affiliate with,” you remarked. It was no secret from anyone that Sirius was a bit of a playboy around school.
Remus suppressed a giggle at your comment and started to laugh harder at Sirius’ fake offense to your suggestion.
“Shouldn’t you be on my side?” Sirius raised a brow at Remus.
“Maybe,” Remus shrugged, giving you a wide smile. You smiled back with a blush adorning your face.
As the conversation lulled, everyone started to do their own thing. James and Sirius played a serious match of wizard chess as Peter watched on, stuffing his mouth with some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Remus was still on the opposite side of the couch as you, with his nose tucked firmly into the book he was reading.
Later that night, you were alone with Remus in the boys’ dorm, sitting across from each other on Remus’ bed.
“You’ve never told me why no one is allowed to see your sketchbook, not even me,” Remus mentioned, adorning the cutest pout you’ve ever seen.
Avoiding his gaze, you softly replied “It’s just private, that’s all.”
“If I had your talents, I would be showing it off to whoever I could,” Remus smirked at you.
“A showboat Gryffindor. How unusual,” sarcastically replying, but a smile still threatened to take over your face.
“Admit it, the show offs in Gryffindor keep this school alive. . . and the ladies swooning,” Remus told you with a laugh.
“Absolutely no ladies are being swooned by the Marauders, I can tell you that,” you lied.
“I can think of a few ladies,” Remus looked right at you. Your heart stuttered in your chest.
Did he know that you liked him?
Was he flirting with you?
There's no way he could like you back, right?
Before your thoughts could spiral anymore, the rest of the Marauders entered the room. You think you hear Remus give an exasperated sigh but you decide you’re being delusional.
“Time for you to leave,” Sirius gives you a head pat. “Can’t have my twin in detention for being out past curfew.”
“I get it, I get it,” you swat Sirius’ hand away from your hair, for the millionth time in your life. “I’ll see you losers tomorrow.”
With a wave and a look, mostly in Remus' direction, you bid the boys goodnight. You wouldn’t realize until too late, but you left your sketchbook sitting on your brother’s nightstand.
REMUS
“Shit, look at this,” Sirius whispered, picking up a leather bound book from his nightstand.
“Is that y/n’s sketchbook?” James asked, wide eyed.
“Let’s take a look inside,” Sirius exclaimed. With wide eyes, Remus shot up and attempted to grab the book from his friend.
“We shouldn’t do that. It’s an invasion of their privacy. Even I’m not allowed to look inside,” Remus sighed. He understood how important the book was to you. Even though he was as curious as the others to see inside, he would never want to ruin your trust in him.
“Come on, Moony. She’ll never know that we took a little peek inside,” Sirius claimed. Remus didn’t know what else to say so he just laid back in bed and tried to ignore his gossiping friends.
“Well, well, well. That is not at all what I was expecting,” James whispered. “Explains why they didn’t want us to see it.”
“Moony, come take a look at this. You’ll love it,” Sirius pleaded, excitedly.
“Unlike you guys, I don’t want them to hate me for invading their privacy,” Remus replied, exhausted.
“Trust me, they could never hate you. Just come here,” Sirius pulled Remus from his bed and brought him to look down at the sketchbook.
Remus blushed as he saw most of the pages filled with different drawings of him, some filled with cheesy hearts and flowers. He was surprised to see that most of the portraits had a little comment under them. The comments were about different stories that he told you.
He adored telling you stories, especially from whatever book had captured his attention that week. He never realized you actually listened to them or even cared enough to write them down for later.
“Someone has a crush on you Moony,” Sirius smirked.
And at the worst time possible, you walked right into their dorm and Remus watched as you took in the scene before you.
YOU
You were already all the way to your dorm by the time you realized that you left your sketchbook. You debated between leaving it there overnight, but a gut feeling pulled you back to the boys’ dorm. Not bothering to knock, you entered the room.
“Someone has a crush on you Moony,” Sirius smirked. All of the boys were crowded around Sirius’ bed and a blushing Remus.
“What’s going on here?” you nervously asked.
All 4 boys turned to you with the guiltiest faces possible. With them facing you, instead of hunched over the bed, you could see what captivated their attention. A familiar leather bound book.
You felt your stomach drop to the floor and tears threatening to fall. Silently, you walked up to the bed, not looking anyone in the eye, and harshly grabbed the book.
You were about to leave the room, when Sirius spoke up. “Hey, y/n. Wait-”
“No!” you screamed, turning to face the boys. All 4 of the Marauders shrunk at the sound of your voice. You never yelled before, especially at them. You were always level-headed and calm but the anger rolled off of you in waves at this moment.  Remus tried to think of a time where you unleashed any kind of anger like this, but couldn’t think of one. Not even when you were ambushed by Slytherins, did you yell.
Sirius felt so much guilt at the sound of your voice, that he almost thought you walked up and slapped him. But no, you stayed glued to your spot next to the door.
You were seething. You never asked for much, always grateful for anything you had. You didn’t care when they annoyed you, pulled silly pranks on you, or even got you in trouble with the professors.
“What the hell is wrong with all of you?” you paused to collect your thoughts. “I’ve only ever asked you guys for one thing. Not invading my privacy. That was all I ever asked of you four. And here I find you guys doing exactly that.”
Your yelling was so loud that each of the boys wondered if the silencing charm around their dorm could contain it.
“And don’t get me started on you,” you pointed a heated finger at Sirius. “As my brother, growing up in the same shit household, I thought you of all people would understand privacy and trust. Looks like I was wrong.”
With that said, you turned around to leave. Opening the door, you shot one pitiful look at Remus before making your way back to your dorm.
REMUS
“Fuck,” Sirius cursed. You guys never fought and it was obvious in Sirius’ distress. “We’ll fix this. We have to.”
“Well on the bright side, we know that they like Remus as much as Remus likes them,” James tried to soothe.
“Yeah, well any chance I had, is now gone,” Remus sighed, solemnly. He was the only one who saw the tears in your eyes as you looked back at him.
“We’ll fix everything in the morning. Don’t worry,” James tried to comfort.
With tired sighs, the boys did their best to go to sleep that night.
YOU
Fuck. You yelled at the boys. The embarrassment of the entire situation muted the anger you had for them. You were beyond angry about what they did, but even more embarrassed about what you were sure they found. No doubt had they realized how much you cared about Remus.
Oh, Merlin. Don’t even think about Remus. He didn’t utter a single world to you last night. He didn’t even stop you from walking out the door.
Walking into the Great Hall, you found the Marauders with their heads casted down, with depressed looks on their faces.
In no way did you forgive them, but you decided to take pity on them.
Wordlessly, you sat next to Sirius and across from Remus. You filled your plate with your favorite breakfast foods and ate.
The silence that overtook the group would have amused you under different circumstances. This group of boys did not know how to keep their mouths shut.
Your silent eating was only disrupted when you felt someone lightly tap your foot. You looked up to find Remus staring at you with an unreadable expression except for the blush staining his cheeks. You offered him a small smile back.
One look at all the boys staring at you had your heart cracking. You couldn’t be sure, but you thought that Sirius might even have unshed tears in his eyes.
You finally decide to speak up. “I’m still mad at you guys, but you are forgiven.”
“Oh, thank Merlin,” Sirius hugged you tight. The force almost knocked you out of your seat. “I’m so sorry. I promise, anything like that will never happen again. I never want to do anything that would make you yell at us.”
The love in your brother’s voice made you tear up as you tightly hugged him back. You realized that you could never stay mad at these boys forever.
Breakfast passed quickly after that, the usual jokes and conversations starting up. Once the meal was over, James and Sirius headed off to quidditch practice and Peter headed to his tutoring sessions. This left you alone with Remus, making you beyond nervous.
Grabbing your hand softly, Remus whispered, “Come to the Astronomy Tower with me, please.”
“Of course,” you easily replied. You were nervous to find out what awaited you but with the tight grip Remus had on your hand, you felt your bad thoughts fly away.
The walk up the stairs to the Astronomy tower was agonizingly long but Remus never once let his hand slip from yours.
Your mind was wandering the entire time. Had he looked through your book? You’re sure he did because he seemed embarrassed last night. Did he not like what he saw? He knew that you drew him because sometimes he would catch your eyes as you sketch away. But maybe he didn’t know the extent to which you drew him. Maybe he was uncomfortable with your small obsession with him.
“We’re here,” Remus whispered, derailing you from your current train of thought. With a smile, he pulled you over to one of the railings and you both stood there taking in the view. In the distance, you could see red robes whizzing around the quidditch field.
“Do you promise you’re not mad at us anymore?” Remus asked you with a hopeful smile.
With a blush and a sigh, you replied, “I promise. There’s no way I can stay mad at you guys forever.”
“Good. I don’t want my favorite lady to be mad at me,” Remus flirted. Your whole body felt like it heated up at his comment.
“Don’t tease me,” you snapped with an embarrassed huff. You didn’t need him to rub your crush on him in your face.
With wide eyes, Remus replied, “I’m not teasing you.”
You finally looked up at him, whispering “Then what are you doing?”
He looked into your eyes. Silence hung in the air but you didn’t care because of the twinkle in his eyes as he looked down at you.
Before you realized what was happening, his lips were on yours.
You stood still for a second, taking time to process what was happening. It didn’t take you long to kiss him back with almost as much fervor and passion as he was kissing you. His hands made their way from your waist to your hair. He was holding you as if he never wanted to let you go.
This close to you, he smelled of sandalwood and old books. He felt like heaven against you, and you never wanted this to end.
All too soon, Remus pulled away from you, leaving you to lightly trail your lips after him. He gave you a dashing smile, panting from the kiss.
You gave him a dazed smile of your own, excited for what was ahead of you.
Still panting and with a light blush covering his cheeks and nose, Remus winked at you. “Have I made you swoon?”
With a roll of your eyes and a pat on his chest, “I don’t know. Kiss me again and I might tell you.”
Remus laughed at your remark before bending down to kiss you again. This time slowly, as if the world revolved around you and time stopped.

marauders x atla/lok AU -- remastered.
I’ve been rewatching atla with my bf recently, which really put me in the mood to revisit this old idea. So I present you a brand new fanart of Peter, Remus, Sirius, James, Lily and Snape (from left to right) designed as atla/lok characters. Also, have an additional sketchdump with some scenarios and whatnot.
Some further unreasonably detailed ideas:
James is an earthbender/metalbender, the only son of famous metalbending acupuncturists. He is also the pro-bending team captain of the Zaofu Saber-tooth Moose Lions. His teammates are Kingsley (firebender) and Xenofilius Lovegood (water/swampbender). He has a very obvious crush on Lily, non-stop trying to impress her with little gifts and dangerous stunts. He is a clever and resourceful prankster. His metalbending master was McGonagall, who is deep down a little disappointed that James became a pro-bender instead of a detective. She watches all of his matches anyways.
Lily is a non-bender from Republic City, who is a chi-blocker and a herbalist. Her childhood friend is Snape who also shared an interest in herbs and poisonous plants. Lily started learning chi-blocking because Snape became way too invested in bloodbending. She is secretly a pro-bending fan and is very fascinated by James’ seemingly failed attempts at flirting. She is estranged with her sister as Petunia hates benders. Lily developed a friendship with Sirius over both of them sharing a complicated relationship with their siblings. She bonded with Remus over their interest in healing.
Sirius is a powerful firebender who owns a motorbike. He met James while trying to fix a stubborn loose screw and they’ve been inseparable ever since, pulling off various shenanigans. He has an unlimited number of parking and speeding tickets. Because of this, he's been sentenced multiple times by Police Chief McGonagall to perform community service in Republic City’s Power Plant generating lightning. His family originates from the richest Fire Nation colony governors, who managed to maintain their noble status and money, but also their traditionalism. They enrolled Sirius to the Fire Nation Army so he could become a high-ranking officer as expected, but he eventually deserted to find real adventures. He still wears his military uniform jacket as a memento.
Remus is a waterbender who has a strong connection to the wolf spirit of the Forgetful Valley. As a little kid he was bitten by a venomous animal possessed by a dark spirit and became very sick. He could be eventually healed by the water of the lake the wolf spirit drank from that season. Hence during full moon his waterbending abilities are charged with the wolf spirit’s energy, forming the shape of the wolf’s head during attacks. He needs to drink from the Forgetful Valley lake waters during lunar eclipses unless he becomes sick again. He works at an animal clinic as a healer. He is dating Sirius, but they are both very awkward about their undeniable feelings.
Regulus is a firebender working as a double agent for Republic City’s Police and Triads. He is involved in various triad business, gathering information and handling pro-bending bets. He is quiet and introverted as opposed to his brother Sirius whose powerful bending abilities and fearless personality gained him quite a reputation. They are not in speaking terms with each other, even though they often get in trouble together when Sirius eventually interferes with his little brother’s operations not knowing he is a double agent.
Peter is a seemingly weak earthbender from Ba Sing Se who cares more about culinary delights than anything else. However, he is deeply involved with Triad business, handling bets, spying and other illegal activities. During a turf war his hand was injured, so he wears a Dai Li rock glove to cover it. As he looks rather harmless, prefers to hide his bending abilities and leaves a general cowardly impression of himself, no one really suspects that he is in fact a spy and a smart player.
Snape is a waterbender prodigy, who also knows much about poisons. He is still obsessed with Lily, even though she has ended their friendship when he demonstrated his self-taught bloodbending abilities on her sister. He spent years researching bending forms and developed his own techniques hoping to win Lily’s trust back. As a result, he is able to bloodbend without a full moon which is his preferred style despite knowing all other sub-forms of waterbending. His talent sparked the interest of Voldemort.
Voldemort is an energy bender who, alongside his mother, was attacked by an enraged snake spirit. His mother died, however he survived due to his awakening energy bending powers, somehow sealing the snake spirit into himself thus enslaving it as his servant. In exchange, his face developed snake-like features. He could turn spirits into dark spirits and seal their power into himself. He planned to find the next Avatar (Harry) so he could rip Raava out of him, corrupt and seal the spirit into himself. He believed this would make him the most powerful being on the world, as then he would gain the bending powers of the Avatar.
Dumbledore is an airbending master and spiritual guru. He has a pet phoenix spirit. He is the grand master of the White Lotus and the unofficial guardian of the spirit portal of Republic City. His main priority is to protect earth citizens as the new Avatar will be born as one of them. However, his master plan is to reconnect Raava and Vaatu and permanently fuse both of them with the Avatar, as only this could bring true balance.
You can find more atla/lok AU content with old ideas here, here and here. Anyone who is willing to write or somehow contribute to this AU, feel free to tag me. I’m in so deep, I might even draw more.

right back where we started from: chap 5
“You know… that Remus was helping me with that map, right?”
“Mmhmm,” Sirius murmured non-committedly as he examined the chess board between them.
“So, you know, I sort of used to see him… quite often.”
“Yup.”
“Did you guys have an argument?”
Sirius accidentally knocked his knight and he swore as it promptly tore down his bishop.
“He’s just sort of – I dunno, I think he’s been avoiding me since Halloween. He keeps saying he’s busy whenever I try to speak to him, or he doesn’t answer his door.”
It was impossible to miss the hurt in Harry’s voice, but instead of anger at Remus he just felt guilty. This was Sirius’s doing, after all – he’d as much as ordered Remus to stay away from Harry.
“He’s sort of quiet and sad and stuff,” Harry continued. “And, well, so are you.”
Sirius looked up to see Harry biting his lip.
“Yeah, I know,” he sighed, putting down the chess piece he’d been rolling between his fingers. It shot him a glare and shuffled back to its place rather pompously.
“We… had an argument, yes. And it was pretty upsetting.”
“About me?”
“Prongslet…” Sirius began, then paused, pressing his lips together. “It was about me – well, me and Remus, and… the choices we made, after the war.”
Harry frowned, looking troubled. “Why do you never talk about him?”
“I do talk about him. I’m talking about him now.”
“No, you don’t,” Harry said, so firmly it took Sirius aback. “You act like he wasn’t that important in your life, but if you’re that upset about the past then he must have been.”
Sirius didn’t know what to say, the anger in Harry’s voice cutting through him like unexpected knife.
“Why won’t you tell me about him?” Harry asked, more pleadingly.
“Because it’s not relevant to your life. Your parents are the important ones.”
“And he was their friend! He was part of their life, and yours, and it’s like I don’t know anything about this whole part of you.”
“Harry…” Sirius said sharply. Then he sighed, letting his eyes fall shut for a moment. “I wasn’t trying to hide him from you.”
Harry looked at him with a sad, uncertain expression.
“I didn’t realise it would ever be so important,” Sirius admitted.
“He was your… he was your family, right? For you, and mum and dad.”
Sirius pressed down against the tremor in his lip. “At one point, yes, he was. But he stopped being that when I left for America.”
Harry was silent and Sirius had the despairing feeling he’d made everything worse.
“If you want to – if he’s become important to you, then that’s…” Sirius’s heart gave a bittersweet ache. “Then I want you to have that.”
Harry looked at him slightly resentfully.
Sirius sighed. “I’ll sort it out,” he told him.
Harry was quiet for a long moment. “Are you gonna be friends again, eventually?”
“I don’t think so, Harry. But that shouldn’t stop the two of you being friends.”

ok extremely random headcanons about Teddy Lupin cause i can't get this boy out of my mind lately
- real feral energy going on
- his bedroom is a biohazard. it is so messy. it's cluttered, there's clothes everywhere, no one knows how he manages to find things. even when it's clean, it really doesn't look like it is just cause he hoards things
- a cute child in his youth, but then hello teenagehood, he starts acting out like crazy. turns from nice and sweet to moody and kinda closed off
- teenage rebellion personified basically
- doesn't like to talk about his emotions, will lash out if pressured to speak (think "you're not my real dad" energy)
- fashion sense is: thrift store/hipster/i stole this from my stepdad and cut it into a crop top/whatever will confuse people. and beanies
- platform shoes with a plastic goldfish in the heel. that kind of stuff
- he pulls it off though
- back to his feral goblin energy: climbing things. sitting on top of furniture that isn't meant to be sat on. climbing on the roof. leaving his room via the window
- he likes frogs. goes out into the woods to catch them, take photos, shove them in Jamie's face cause he likes how it makes him squirm, and then release them
- really likes rain
- rides a skateboard
- has playlists for all of his moods, plays music on speaker and full volume in his room
- shameless
- draws a lot
- absolutely wild sleep schedule, completely unexplainable and just feral. sometimes goes to sleep at 7pm. sometimes goes to sleep at 10am. honestly he can't predict it, it's just up to the gods

hi can i request the maurauders going to see the reader do a musical like heathers or mean girls and they are just confused and turned on bc they didn't expect it to be this dirty (can lead to smut or not). luv you and hope you are taking care of yourself, if not go get something to eat, drink some water, take a nap, or do somthing you enjoy. or dont not trying to be pushy :)
Creature of the Night || Poly!Marauders
Word Count: 3029 (excluding song lyrics)
A/N: I think I liked how this turned out? I didn’t make it smut but it’s certainly suggestive, I went with Rocky Horror, I know that the musicals mentioned in the request are more modern but I fucking love Rocky Horror and I think it works with the request. When I first read this request I smiled so much because I love live theater, I don’t perform as much as I used to because as I progress with my education I’m focusing more on the stuff I can use to pad my resumes for college and stuff but I still love going to see productions. One of the worst parts of the pandemic for me has been not being able to go see shows, I miss it so much.
Warnings: theatre enthusiast reader, erections, suggestive material, song lyrics, slight teasing, wearing very little clothing in front of an audience, I believe that that is it

antici-
The magic of the stage was second to none. Sure, Hogwarts may have had witches and wizards, subjects like Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts, and ghosts that spent their time meandering about the halls but there was always a part of you that looked forward to the summer between your years at Hogwarts. Because no matter how magical Hogwarts was, the theater always made you feel completely and utterly alive.
Every summer since the one after your first year at what all of your muggle friends thought to be a very prestigious boarding school up in Scotland, you’d taken part in your local youth theater’s productions. Your parents both being muggles thought that it would be a great way for you to be able to stay in touch with your muggle origins.
The first year you’d been far too nervous to actually audition for a role, the very thought causing bile to churn in your stomach and threaten to make you sick all over your kitchen floor when your father first pitched the idea. So instead you’d done costumes and it was the most wonderful experience of your life.
Who needed drugs when you had live theater? The hustle and bustle behind the scenes was electrifying but after two summers of costuming, of quick changes in the wings, learning how to use the ancient sewing machines they stored in the depths of the storage rooms, and pulling pieces for the actors to try on you decided that you wanted to try something more.
The moment you had stepped onto the stage it was like you’d come to life and you cursed yourself for not taking the risk earlier. You belonged on the stage, with the harsh stage lights on you and pounds of makeup plastered onto your face you could feel the magic thrumming through your veins and it was addicting.
If it was possible, you were even more excited to perform this summer, the previous school year you’d finally gotten together with your long time best friends the Marauders, turning them from friends to your boyfriends.
When your mother had sent word of the production being put on this summer you’d squealed while seated next to James and across from Remus, who had Sirius hanging off of his side. After explaining to them, mostly Sirius and James really, just what live theater was their first reaction was to ask if they could come see you perform.
“I don’t even know if I’m going to be cast,” You had explained gently, not wanting to get their hopes up in case you weren’t cast this year.
“Bull shit of course you’re going to be the cast,” Sirius had contested through a mouthful of jam and toast, waving his hand theatrically through the air, watching him that day was not the first time you’d considered how the way he acted often reminded you of an over enthusiastic theatre major.
Remus, the only one with any knowledge on muggle theatre had snorted, wrapping an arm around Sirius’ waist to pull him closer to his body, “She’s not going to be the cast Pads, she’s going to be casted,” He’d corrected gently, pressing a kiss into his long, dark tresses.
“Whatever,” The smaller boy had grumbled, taking a sip of pumpkin juice.
Which brought you to where you were right now, five minutes to curtain touching up your make up in the mirror of the shared make-up room.
“Hey (L/N),” One of your cast mates called settling into the makeup chair next to you as she plucked a tube of dark red lipstick from the small canary colored makeup bag she had previously abandoned on the counter, “Your boyfriends coming tonight?” She asked, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
“Yeah, they are,” You responded, applying mascara to your lashes.
“Excited to meet them, that photo you showed us,” She smiled, fanning her face with her hand, “Smoking,” She smiled, making eye contact with you in the mirror.
Rolling your eyes you ignored her comment, “It’s five minutes to curtain, you’re just now doing your make-up?” You chuckled, noticing her black face.
“Oh, shove it,” She laughed as you pushed yourself from your chair, traipsing out of the room, giving her the middle finger on your way out.
“Break a leg!” She called after you as the door latched shut.
You weren’t usually this nervous before a performance but knowing that your three boyfriends were sitting out there somewhere in the audience had you pacing back and forth backstage wondering what they were going to think of the whole production.
“Rocky Horror?” Sirius’ confusion evident in his voice as he plopped down in his seat next to Remus, throwing his arm around the werewolf’s shoulders, drumming his fingers on his clothed shoulder hidden behind his knitted cardigan.
“Yeah,” James collapsed into his chair on the other side of Remus, tucking one leg under his body, “No clue what it’s about but I’m sure our angel will be wonderful. Can you guys see her?” He straightened himself up in his seat, craning his neck in attempts to catch a glimpse of you.
Remus being the only one with any ties to the muggle world knew a bit about the show and had to do his very best to suppress a smirk from overtaking his face as he knew exactly what he and your other two boyfriends were getting themselves into.
“Just hush up you two, the show’s gonna start any moment,” He scolded, patting his large, scarred hand on James’ thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“Rem,” Sirius whined, puckering his lips and closing his eyes, signaling to his boyfriend that he wanted a kiss.
“My needy baby,” He crooned, leaning in to connect his lips with Sirius’ in a quick liplock before pulling back, allowing Sirius to drop his forehead to smear against his shoulder.
“That’s mean,” Sirius murmured discontentedly.
“Poor baby Pads,” James cooed mockingly.
“Both of you,” Remus hissed as the lights in the theatre dimmed, “The show’s about to start, be good for me and be quiet yeah?”
Their response came in their silence as the crowd started settling down and the music from the orchestra pit began a voice coming from somewhere out of sight as it was played through the speakers,
“Michael Rennie was ill
The day the earth stood still
But he told us where we stand”
Not 20 minutes into the show all three of them were as hard as rocks, James had already made Remus check the playbill for the name of the character you were playing, not being able to remember what you’d told them as all of his concentration was focused on a certain place.
Janet Weiss.
Remus couldn’t remember either, but he was almost certain that’s the name he could make out in the dark theatre, printed next to a picture of your smiling face.
When you’d stripped down to your underwear the boys could barely focus on the plot line of the show, only being able to watch the way your bare skin shone under the harsh light of the spotlights. Watching as sweat glistened on your skin, making you shine as you moved about the stage.
Enchanted by the melodic cadence of your voice they all felt a certain jealousy burning deep in the pits on their stomachs at the thought that there were dozens of other people packed into that theater, all observing you in your vulnerable state of under dress. Only they got to see you like that.
Sirius missed much of the first act glaring at members of the audience who he deemed as looking at you for too long for his liking, but if you were being honest a 4th year smiling at you in the hallway was sometimes too long for his liking.
It wasn’t like any of them had never seen you naked before, in fact they’d all seen you naked more than their fair share of times but something about you on that stage in a white bra with a matching slip was driving them all crazy.
Especially Remus, whose ultimate weakness was seeing you in anything white which was one of the reasons you’d been so excited to invite them in the first place, knowing that they would be horny messes the entire time.
On stage you did your very best not to look out into the audience looking for them, knowing that you wouldn’t be able to stop a ginormous grin from forming on your face and you couldn’t afford to break character. Not if you wanted the night to go your way.
As the opening notes to “Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me”, rose from the orchestra pit you had trouble stopping a small smirk from pulling at your lips as you opened them, inhaling deeply before singing the first words of the song,
“I was feeling done in, couldn't win
I'd only ever kissed before”
Despite yourself you caught a glimpse of long dark hair in the audience, quickly taking a glance at Sirius’ face, eyes glazed over in lust, legs shifting uncomfortably with his mouth hanging wide open.
Out of the corner of your eye you noticed another raven-haired boy’s mouth dropping as you shrugged off of your robe
“I thought there’s no use getting, into heavy petting
It only leads to trouble and, seat wetting
Now all I want to know, is how to go
I've tasted blood and I want more”
It was impossible to miss the way Remus’ jaw clenched as you laid your palm against Rocky’s chest, he was being played by your good friends who’d been working with the same theatre company as you since forever, he was like a brother to you. But that didn’t mean you couldn’t lay it on extra thick tonight with your boyfriends in the audience.
Tracing a dainty finger down Rocky’s chest you pushed your body against his singing out the next lyrics of the song,
“I've got an itch to scratch, I need assistance”
You turned you and your cast mate so that looking over his shoulder you were able to meet Remus’ eye, sending him a quick wink before focusing back in on Rocky.
“Toucha, toucha, toucha, touch me
I wanna be dirty
Thrill me, chill me, fulfill me
Creature of the night”
Pressing your back up against Rocky’s chest you guided his hands with yours to your breasts, squeezing them as you followed the choreography you knew by heart.
You ripped your slip from your body with the help of Rocky leaving you in only your white bra, matching panties and a pair of small heels as you paraded around stage, belting the suggestive lyrics into the theater.
“Then if anything grows, while you pose
I'll oil you up and rub you down (down, down, down)
And that’s just one small fraction, of the main attraction
You need a friendly hand, oh i need action”
You smirked, thinking about all of the action you’d be on the receiving end of later that night as you sunk to your knees in front of Rocky, your hands grasping his thighs. Deciding to tease them perhaps a little more than necessary as you went through the number, curling your leg around his and pressing your bodies together so that there was no space between your two questionably clothed bodies.
As the number was brought to a close it was impossible for you to ignore the excitement bubbling up inside of you as you continued your way through the show you kept throwing glances at your boyfriends, always finding their eyes already trained on you. More often than not, on some body part other than your face.
If your boyfriends thought that they had a bit of a problem before that song they were in a terrible predicament now.
Remus caught Sirius on multiple occasions trying to move the hand that he was holding to grope at his crotch as he tried to buck up into his boyfriend’s hand. And much to his own dismay, Remus would pull his hand away, thinking it probably wasn’t the best idea to give his boyfriend a hand job in a crowded theater. Knowing that he wouldn’t have to worry about James touching himself because he would never dream of disobeying him, Remus divided his attention between you on the stage and keeping Sirius in check.
Each of the boys were counting down the seconds until the show came to an end and they could get out of there and relieve some of their tension.  As the curtains were pulled closed they all breathed a sigh of relief before they reopened, leaving all three of them bewildered and slightly annoyed, even more so when they noticed everyone around them standing as they applauded the actors.
Remus forced both of them up when you rushed to the front of the stage, curtsying as the crowd went wild, your boyfriends most notably. As you took your bow you blew a kiss to your boyfriends taking note of the uncomfortable way they all stood, trying to adjust their erections to make them less noticeable while simultaneously applauding you.
As you cleared the stage after curtain call you took your time, doddling towards the dressing rooms where you had left the clothes you’d arrived at the theater in along with a special outfit you’d brought for after the show. Usually you were one of the first actors to clear the theater after a show but tonight you took your time. Hanging up your costume with more care than anyone really should treat any garment with and certainly more than what it needed.
You smirked mischievously as you pulled the you’d brought outfit from your bag and shimmied it up your legs before slipping the delicate straps up your shoulders. You glimpsed yourself in the mirror, the red satin of the dress clinging to your curves in an attractive manner, short enough to display miles of legs and low cut enough to show off a decent amount of cleavage and perhaps a sighting of the matching red bra you were wearing beneath it.
Slinging the back of your black heels over the heel of your feet you snatched your purse from the armchair in your dressing room before striding out to go meet your boyfriends in the lobby, where you’d told them to wait for you.
Their heads all turned as they heard the clacking of your heels against the tile of the floor, “Boys,” You greeted as they unabashedly took in your new appearance.
As he most often was, Remus was the first one to collect himself, “Puppy, you were wonderful,” He praised, walking to meet you as you approached him, leaning down to smear a kiss against your cheek, “You did amazing up there, so proud of you,” He threw his arm around your waist as you walked towards Sirius and James.
“We got something for you,” He explained, his grip on your waist tightening, “Jamie give it to her, yeah?”
“Oh yeah,” The smaller boy grinned, remembering the bouquet he held cradled in his arms as he handed it over to you, “Here you go angel.”
“Thank you Jamie,” You said as you took it from him, closing your eyes as you buried your nose in the sweet smelling flora. As you opened your eyes you made eye contact with Sirius, who stood across from you, practically drooling as he took in your appearance without any shame, “They smell wonderful.”
“You okay Si?” You asked, looking up through your eyelashes, batting them innocently.
“Like you don’t know exactly what you did up there to us (Y/N/N),” Remus whispered in your ear, pressing his nose into your temple.
“You guys are the ones who wanted to come,” You lilted, rubbing one of the velvety petals between the pads of your thumb and forefinger.
“Could’ve warned us,” James mumbled, his eyes not leaving your thighs as he licked his lips, if it were anyone else you would’ve been uncomfortable but you couldn’t help but feel flattered whenever any of them ogled you.
“And what’s with the dress Pup?” Sirius nodded his head appreciatively towards your dress, obviously admiring the way it hung on your body.
“What, you don’t like it?” You asked with fake hurt in your voice, knowing that he more than liked it, he fucking loved it.
“S’not that,” Remus mumbled, nosing at your jugular, “Just that whole show, got us a little bit worked up. We didn’t expect it to be so sexual Puppy,” He nodded towards James and that’s when you noticed the erection he was still sporting.
“Got us really worked up, can we go home now?” James asked, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, trying to distract himself from his little problem.
“Jamie,” You whined, smiling wickedly, “I wanted to celebrate, I was thinking we could go eat somewhere, I was thinking maybe Thai food?”
You watched as Sirius ground his teeth, conflicted between needing to get home and not wanting to deny you from what you wanted.
“Having fun teasing us Bunny?” Remus asked you with a sly smirk, knowing exactly what you were doing.
“M’not teasing,” You insisted, turning indignantly to your other boyfriend.
“Sure you aren’t,” He chuckled, “Thai sounds great (Y/N), wanna talk with you about the show,” The idea of teasing Sirius and James even longer was very appealing to Remus and he was ready to make the sacrifice of being teased himself, knowing that he’d be able to get back at you later that night.
“But-” James began.
“You wanna argue with me Jamie?” Remus challenged, raising a singular eyebrow.
“No,” He moped, “Of course not.”
“Good,” Remus said, nodding his head approvingly, “We wouldn’t wanna deny our Princess would we?”
James shook his head, eyes pleading, desperately seeking Remus’ approval.
“Pads?” Remus challenged, turning his attention to the other raven haired man.
“What? Oh um, of course not,” He agreed distractedly, dragging his eyes from your form to meet Remus’, his reluctance evident in his voice.
“Good,” Remus said pointedly, his eyes cold, daring Sirius to question him. When he didn’t the werewolf continued, “Let’s get going then, there’s a nice little restaurant a couple blocks away yeah?”
As you all hummed your consent you made your way to the exit, “Ten galleons if you can make James cum in his pants at dinner,” Remus whispered in your ear quietly enough so that  James and Sirius trailing behind you wouldn’t be able to hear you, you could hear the smirk in his voice as you exited the theatre.
“Deal.” This was going to be fun, you considered that you might have to invite them to come see the show again.

“COME ON! We are going to be late! Draco and Ron will already be there!!” A 13 year old boy by the name of Harry Potter yelled at his three dads.
It was the first time his mother Lily had trusted them to take him to an event and Harry was already aware that it would be a disaster. While they all three loved the boy very much and gave him whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it, they weren't the most put together.
“Right.. Whose birthday is it again? One of the Weasleys?” James asked looking around for the present he knew his ex had sat somewhere.
Remus was normally the one who always wrangled them together. He did the cooking when the house elves were gone, and kept a rather loose hold of Harry's schedule. James and Sirius were more the friend type of fathers.
Bought him a broom when he was a year old, painted their faces when they went to quidditch matches. Told Remus not to worry about helping the boy with his homework, instead encouraged him to pull more pranks with the Weasley Twins.
“NOO DAD! Owen Malfoy!! He's Draco's cousin! He's turning 14 and our whole class is going to be there!” Harry whined as he watched his father finally find the gift.
~~
When the Trio of men and their messy haired son finally appeared in front of a giant manor, it was a half an hour after the invite said to arrive. Harry hurriedly knocked on the door and smiled up at the tall blond man who answered. “ Hi! Thanks for coming, excited right?”
Harry nodded quickly as he peaked around the man looking for kids his own age.
Draven chuckled, swinging the door open without looking up at the men. “Backyards that way, try to be quiet through the house though the twins are still sleeping.” When he finally swung his head back towards the men his breath caught. It had been sixteen years since he had seen them, and they clearly didn't remember him at all.
“Right.. So Mr. Black, Potter and Lupin, all you have to do is sign here and prick your finger. There's an X for your name and your blood goes in the box below it.”
Remus stepped forward offering his hand as he stared up at the blond Adonis. “Remus, I'll spare you the lengthy last name. Thank you for inviting Harry, as you can see he is very excited.”
“Finally I'm so happy to be done with all of this..” Sirius had said, signing his name and pricking his finger so quickly he almost missed the box.
Draven snapped out of his stupor and shook his hand, “No trouble at all.. Honestly my wife loves doing things like this, even if it takes a while considering we have six children.” None of the men missed the smile that came across his face at the mention of his wife. It only grew when he spoke of his many kids.
“We appreciate this.. Even though we would never come back on Y/n.” Remus had said softly as he signed his paper.
Sirius scoffed as they all took turns shaking hands, “Six kids? God we can barely handle Harry.” The four men started making their way through the house, being mindful of the sleeping twins Draven had mentioned. When they walked through the large french doors at the back of the house they were met with so many children that it looked like Hogwarts.
“Yeah well I bet she never expected you to leave her and treat her the way you did ethier.. So better safe than sorry.” Regulus had scoffed, speaking for the first time since they had shown up.
Dravens eyes quickly started looking for the group he had grown so close to over the years. He couldnt find them but noticed his oldest son walking towards him. He wanted to tell him to go the other way but didn't when he noticed the annoyed look on his face. “What's wrong, Leo?”
Leonis shook his head and scoffed, waving his arms around dramatically “There are so many children here.. I despise children..” He crossed his arms, and between his stance and the look on his face Remus, James and Sirius thought he looked alot like Regulus Black.
Draven went to speak, but was interpreted by his two oldest daughters coming up from behind them. The blond man really wanted his wife, not only did the three teens have no clue who the three men were. But the three men had no clue who the three teens were.
The men had no idea that standing in front of them were the three teens that they helped create so many years ago. Four blood lines all magically mixed in the belly of his wife, sixteen years before this. It was pretty clear though, if you looked at all the other Malfoy children to tell that Draven was not their biological father.
Two girls and one boy.
Macaria Hope Malfoy, unruly brown hair that was almost the same color as Remus Lupins. Light gray colored eyes that had small bursts of blue much like Sirius Black. Soft baby face that clearly belonged to the Potter family. She perfectly fit her Durmstrang house, Terpsichora, who are artistic, incredibly creative and loyal. (Hufflepuff)
Asteria Mia Malfoy, wavy hair much like James but was the same color as her sisters. Bright hazel eyes like James, with sharp facial features that resembled her Uncle Regulus. She belongs to the Liberalis House whose members are sharp, graded excellent, curious and interesting people. (Ravenclaw)
Leonis Arcturus Malfoy, wavy hair like his sister but this time a dark shiny black. Sharp features that he shared with his sister and uncle. But his eyes were a vivid green, like the forest, like Remus. He belongs to Atticus, members are supposed to be cunning, bold, and have more nerve than sense. (Slytherin)
The three adults all stared at the three teens, who frankly did not spare them a passing glance as they came up to their father.
“I don't know why you're complaining, Leonis, we have more people at our parties.” Asteria said matter of factly. She wasn't all that happy with the amount of screaming preteens ethier, but she loved her siblings more than anything, so she put up with it a little quieter.
Leo rolled his eyes and looked down at his younger sister “Aria, aren't you going to say how I should be thankful that our little brother has so many friends?”
Macaria shrugged her shoulders and smiled “Nope, you clearly read my mind. Which I will be telling mother about but not before I go and find Uncle Reggie.”
The four adults watched the triplets walk off together all talking amongst themselves. Remus was the first to speak, “No offense, but you seem a little young to have children that age. I also don't remember seeing them at Hogwarts. Which school do they go to?”
Again before Draven could speak, someone else did. “My nieces and nephew go to Durmstrang. Should've sent Draco there if I do say so myself.. Shouldn't have let Cissy talk your wife into sending Owen to Hogwarts.. Shit school if you ask me.” The snide voice of Lucius Malfoy said as he walked up next to his brother.
The four men turned to see the group that Draven had been looking for. Regulus and Evan Rosier, Ted and Andromeda Tonks, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Lucius Malfoy.
“My wife went to help yours get the twins dressed and downstairs. Draco and Owen are somewhere off with their little group of troublemakers.” Lucius said as they all looked ethier nervously or snidely at the three Gryffindors.
James was busy looking for the person he knew finished up the group. But he didnt know he was looking for another Malfoy and not an Avery. Remus was looking at Sirius who was looking at his brother, who looked rather smug. “I'm assuming if your whole little group is here.. Y/n is here too..” Sirius said, rolling his eyes, something that did not go unnoticed by Draven.
“Oh she's around here somewhere” Regulus said as he sipped his drink, he couldn't wait until you made your way downstairs. He and Evan had made bets on what would happen when the little trio of lions found out. Regulus wanted nothing more than for them to realize what they had lost.
“She will be sooo excited to see you all..” Bellatrix cackled as she cut into an apple with a small knife. Bringing the slice up to her mouth that was curled into a small smile as she stared at the three men. They shifted uncomfortably under her gaze.
“Why don't we all move to the yard, instead of standing in the doorway” Draven said as his eyes kept searching what he could see of his house. He wanted to step away and warn you, he didn't know how you would react to them being here. The last thing he ever wanted was you to be upset.
Thankfully the three outcast men smiled and made their way over to a group of parents they knew. The Weasleys, The Longbottoms and one of the two Lovegoods. Pandora was making her way towards Draven who she had noticed was shifting his weight around nervously.
She pecked Reggie on the cheek before linking her arm with Dravens. Pandora had a way of making everyone calm, she always knew what to say or do to fix things when they went astray. “What's wrong Drav?” Her light whimsical voice said as the group looked at him.
He looked away from the doors to his friends before sighing and running a hand through his hair. “I'm just nervous for Y/n.. As far as I know she hasn't seen any of them since the Potters funeral and now they are here with a kid?? How do you think that's going to make her feel? And a child the same age as Owen? I just don't want her to be upset.”
Pandora, Bella and Andromeda all smiled at the man.
“Draven.. I've known Y/n for a long long time.. She loves you so much. You spent her entire first pregnancy as well as the next two doting on her left and right.  You have spent the last sixteen years making her realize how amazing she is. Sure it might upset her that they have a child, but she will be upset for the children.” Andromeda said.
“But even if she is upset for them, she knows they have a father here. One who has been there since day one. A father who wanted them from the beginning. Those fools don't even know who the triplets are, or that there were even triplets.” Bellatrix continued.
“When the triplets got chicken pox, who helped her bathe the kids in oatmeal and apply cream to their poxs?” Evan asked as Draven said himself.
“And when Y/n got pregnant with Owen and had a panic attack, who handled it.. On their own I might add.” Bella asked as Draven again answered himself.
“When Potter's parents died, and Y/n fell into Perinatal Depression, who cared for her? Forced her to eat when needed, bought her favorite lavender tea? Who painted the nursery on his own, decorated it on his own just to make her smile? Yeah mate.. You..”
Regulus smiled as he kept on “So what those three idiots have Harry.. I've seen him running around Hogwarts, constantly getting himself into trouble. He barely squeaks by in his classes, he's a nice kid but the three of them can barely deal with him.  If it wasn't for his mother, who left James by the way, the kid wouldn't have survived.”
Draven smiled and sat his cheek down on Pandora's head, thankful for the group of friends. “She won't be sad, or upset or anything but happy. I dont think Ive seen her unhappy since we met you Draven.” Pandora patted his arm before pulling away and making her way back to her husband who was helping their daughter Luna place flowers in her hair.
~~~~
“So.. I saw some….” Narcissa paused, unsure of the word to use “Old friends of ours downstairs with Drav.”
You peaked up at her as you sorted through the twins closet, a smile on your face as you could hear the low rumbling of many kids playing. “Is that right? Wanna enlighten me?” You had an idea of who it was, Owen had told you about his friend Harry. Whos last name was Potter, when asked you learned that James was his father and Lily was his mother.
You had seen and talked to Lily on a few occasions. She was a lovely person, you wouldn't exactly say you were friends but you liked her. The two of you could connect on the basis of failed relationships with James Potter.
You learned that the two had briefly been together before Mia and Monty got sick and passed. That she was pregnant when it happened, and he pulled away from her and back to the Marauders. She was sad, but you heard she had recently settled down with a widowed Amos Diggory. (Picturing Max Irons)
“The Marauders.. I'm sorry I'll have the guys tell them to leave if you want.” Cissy rushed as she took Abraxas’ clothes from you. She was just as worried as she assumed Draven was. You had been so happy over the years and she didn't want that to go away.
Laughing you pulled the little baby romper onto your baby girl before finding a brush to run through the twins’ hair. “Why would I want them to leave? Their son is here, he's friends with Owen, it's Owen's party.” Looking up you realized that your friend was really very worried.
“Oh Cissy.. Really I'm fine!” You smiled and looked down at your twins. “Come on, you'll see everything will be fine.” You meant your words, nothing could ruin your son's birthday party for you. Not seeing your exs at least. You knew Narcissa meant well, that she was worried because they were taking care of a child when they had written yours off.
But you couldn't care less.
When you met Draven it was like your entire life fell together. He had started staying at Malfoy Manor instead of his flat in London to ‘help around the house’. He quickly learned the things you did and didn't like, buying your favorite teas and cookies while having the house elves memorize the list of things that made your stomach turn.
He took it upon himself to make sure that your potions from Monty were always picked up on time. Your prenatal and the morning sickness potions always brought up with whichever flavor breakfast you were craving. Your favorite lavender tea steeping as he walked up the stairs to the library where you were every morning.
When Draven started courting you, you didn't even notice. His daily morning tea with you would slowly start including flowers or new types of tea he found. You didn't know when he talked to not only Monty but to your older brother. No clue was given to you when he was given permission to court you not caring that you were pregnant with triplets.
Small gifts started being left here and there when he didn't hand them to you directly.
Treats from places you knew were not in London. Books you had mentioned you hadn't read or wanted to reread that weren't in the library. Many bouquets of flowers, your favorite being the large sunflowers you could tell he had picked himself from the field down the road. You had begged Narcissa to press and frame them, they now hung over the fireplace in your library.
Then he started taking you places and going places with you. When you wanted to shop and the girls were busy, it was Draven that went with you. When Regulus or Evan were unable to go to baby yoga or lamaze class, it was the Blond god that offered to go.
He planned picnics and small dates, knowing that you weren't up for much when you were the size of a house with six little feet kicking you constantly. Everything he did was perfectly planned and went off without problems. It was clear that Draven was made for you from the start.
Around 25 weeks was when things started to get real. When you would wake up at night drenched in sweat and aching in a way that you couldn't satisfy yourself. When Draven found you holding yourself on the side of the pool trying to cool down he knew what was wrong. He had been reading book after book to keep up with what was going on.
So for weeks the man satisfied you with his fingers or mouth but never let things go too far. Never allowing you to return the favor, even after he went down on you with the vigor of a dying man.  He just kept telling you that he was going to show you that he was the man for you.
Let's just say he did.. Many times..
When the triplets were born and Bonnie asked what their last name would be, Malfoy was an easy choice. You had fallen in love quickly, and while you were terrified it was a choice you never once regretted.
Draven bought your first manor before you ever started to complain about living with Lucius and Narcissa. Asked you to marry him one morning while you watched the triplets run around the garden. While it wasn't the way he had planned it, the moment felt right.
Every moment of every day with Draven felt like a dream. You couldn't remember when you stopped waiting to wake up, you couldn't point out the day that you realized he was real. You probably wouldn't even if you could though.
~~~~~~
 “Do you know who those men are?” Macaria said as she watched the tall scarred man laugh with the other two. “I feel like we should know who they are.” She could feel a tug in her chest towards them, similar to the one she felt with her mother and father. But more so she could feel the pain the tallest one was in, being an empath she could feel that he needed something. But she didn't know what.
Asteria already knew who they were. She was the strongest with legilimency and occlumency, and in her true fathers panic his mental walls were down. She knew that the three men in front of her were their biological fathers, and she was not happy about it.
The triplets had always known their bloodline was an unconventional one. But moments before Asteria had learned just how messy the whole thing was. She was arguing with herself about telling her siblings, none of them had ever kept things from the others before. And she could feel Leo's eyes on her as he tried to break through her mental walls.
“They are mothers, ex boyfriends and our biological fathers. Remus Lupin is the tall broken one. James Potter, Harry's biological father, the one with glasses. And Last and definitely least, Sirius Black. According to fathers memories Mother was with James and was also involved with the other two. When she became pregnant things fell apart, they left her because they didn't want kids. Black never liked our mother from the flashes I got. He was pretty happy about Mother leaving, I guess. Seems like he was quite rude to her. ” Asteria said without looking at her sister or brother.
“Black.. As in Uncle Regulus..” Leo said while turning to look at Sirius. He could see the resemblance now that he really looked. People had always said he looked like his uncle, and now he knew why. Unfortunately he also had his uncle and one of his fathers temperament. “Well then.. Maybe we should introduce ourselves..”
Before the girls could stop him Leonis was stomping gracefully towards the group. Pandora's eyes grew wide as she watched the two girls stumble after their brother. She went to step forward but it was far too late, she could see the anger in the boy's eyes. So instead she gripped her husband's arm in preparation for what was to come.
“Ah Excuse me for interrupting. I just wanted to introduce myself.” Leo said as he turned to the tall man who he had been told was Sirius and stuck his hand out. “Leonis Arcturus Malfoy. These are my sisters, Macaria Hope Malfoy and Asteria Mia Malfoy.”
The trio was slightly caught off guard noticing the teens' middle names all had something to do with their own families.  Sirius shook his hand with a confused look on his face “Sirius Black-Lupin-Potter, nice to meet you?” He said it more like a question than a statement as he looked at Pandora who was looking over trying to catch Regulus or Evans' gaze.
The girls took their turn shaking the men's hands, Macaria holding Remus’ hand a little longer than the rest. He felt a weird calm fall over him as she pulled away her cheeks slightly pink from focusing on his energy so hard. Leo stood slightly in front of his sisters with a taunting look on his face.
“So.. You guys have any… Children?” Leo said his lip curling slightly towards the end of the question. He heard one of his sisters say his name trying to discourage him from confronting them but he had already made up his mind. He wasn't one to think when he was angry, action before thought and all that.
Remus looked between the girl's worried looks and then back to Leo. “James has a son, Harry, he's here somewhere. I'm guessing he is friends with your younger brother Owen.” Leonis’ sneer only grew as Remus spoke, which prompted him to stop speaking. He could see the boy's hands clenching and unclenching, a motion he was far too familiar with.
“Ah.. No other children then? Say around the age of sixteen.. Born to a woman abandoned by three little boys?” Leonis said, clasping his hands behind his back, his eyes bouncing between the three men. Even though in his opinion they were not men, but still little boys. He watched as the color drained from James and Remus’ faces. But what really caught his attention was the fact that Sirius scoffed and took a swig of whatever he was drinking.
“I thought that lawyer said that we would be at no fault? Didn't he say that once we signed we were done.. If you are that witch's children you shouldn't even know that one of us is your sperm donor..” Sirius scoffed again before finishing off his drink.
Xenophilius looked down at his wife, who was still eyeing their other group of friends. He didn't particularly want to be part of this conversation but knew Dora wouldn't walk away. So he spoke softly trying to defuse the situation “Children.. Maybe this is a conversation you should have with your mother.. Best save it for later.”
Pandora was staring hard at Regulus, trying to make him feel her gaze on him. They were too far away for her to casually get his attention with her voice. Near the mouth of hedges that lead to the gardens, somewhat tucked away from the others. But when she heard the disgust that Sirius used when he spoke of you her gaze ripped back to those in front of her.
“Sirius, watch how you speak of Y/n. These are her children and we are her friends. Be respectful please.” Pandora spoke not knowing that her words would only escalate the situation. Sirius tilted his head towards her, a bored look on his face as his hair fell slightly out of place.
“Dora.. I hated her in school, useless little thing she was. I still hate her, I'm not being rude. Just speaking my truth, isn't that what the universe would want?”
Before any of them could try to speak again, two hands were wrapping around the collar of Sirius’ shirt. Shoving him back past the hedges they were so conveniently standing by. Further and further into the garden and away from the party. Leonis could hear his sisters and his aunt saying his name repeatedly, but he couldn't care less.
The man in front of him had disrespected his mother, one of the very few things he wouldn't put up with. His mother, his father and his siblings were off limits to anyone and everyone. Thankfully his body was very toned from quidditch, so forcing the man around was easy.
“How DARE you speak of my mother like that.. From where I am standing YOU and YOUR FRIENDS are the useless ones!” He yelled his hand unconsciously finding his wand which was now digging into the underside of Sirius’ jaw. One hand was still wrapped up in the man's shirt as Leo watched a single drop of blood trickle down his wand.
Everyone else stood shocked and silent.
The girls and the Lovegoods knew that Leonis didn't have a good hold on his anger, but this was far from his normal character. The girls held different opinions on what was happening. Macaria hated any act of violence, blood made her queasy. So it went slightly unnoticed when she pulled back from the group and ran.
Asteria though.. She could read Sirius’ mind, and the horrible things he was thinking only made her angry. So she decided to escalate the situation, “Brother.. You should hear the things he is thinking in his head.. Should I speak them outloud?”
Sirius’ head snapped to the side, watching the girl who was clearly mentally stronger than himself. He didn't even realize someone was in his mind.  Legilimency and occlumency were both a gift that all Blacks held, and she was clearly very strong with both. She had shielded her presence while effortlessly walking past his defenses.
“At the moment he is shocked at how strong I am, but just before he was thinking disgustingly crude things.. Sexually about our mother.. I belive his exact words to her were ‘Your a good fuck, but I only tolerate you for Jamie.’” Asteria watched her brother's face get darker and knew he was just as upset as she was. She didn't even try to look into the other men's minds, solely focused on the one who hated her angel of a mother.
But that also meant she wasn't hearing any of the other voices around them. So she did not hear the group of younger teens as they walked up behind them. Owen watched as his brother held Sirius at wingtip. Harry and Owen both learning that the men had fathered the triplets. And all of their friends silently sitting back and watching the family drama unfold.
“He taunted her and practically slut shamed her for not knowing who our father was. Even though they were all sleeping with her normally in the same night. Ironic that our bloodline is a mixture of all four of our biological parents then isnt it?”
Leonis could feel his body heating up with anger every time his sister spoke. Anger that turned his vision splotchy and disconnected his heart from his mind. It was blinding, in any other situation it would have scared him. But he felt weirdly under control, all until his sister spoke again.
“Now he's thinking that you remind him of his father. Orion, you know the abusive piece of garbage that Uncle Regulus told us about.”
~~~~~~~
You meanwhile had made your way out to the party carrying Phoebe while Abraxas held your finger and walked next to you. The moment he found a familiar head of hair he toddler ran towards his father “Dadadada” falling from his little mouth.
Draven turned at the sound and effortlessly scooped up his youngest son, pressing a kiss into his messy blond hair. “Hey little guy.. Where's your Mama?” He said as he turned fully eyes finding your figure, cheeks heating up as he took in your outfit.
Tight navy skinny jeans with small rips in the knees, a white slightly oversized shirt tucked in. A long burnt orange colored cardigan over it. The Malfoy family crest  hanging around your neck, your 8.75 carat pear shaped Morganite ring on your right hand, a gift from the triplets. While your 15 carat emerald cut engagement ring was wrapped around your ring finger, along with multiple bands. The ring had been plucked from one of the many Malfoy family vaults when he decided to marry you.
While you thought it was a bit much, you soon learned that all the family jewelry was. You pressed your lips against Dravens in greeting, feeling the tell tale sparks that were present every time the two of you touched. He smiled down at you brightly before turning back to Lucius who was complaining about Dumbledore letting the Marauders teach at Hogwarts.
You took this moment to look around for them but they were nowhere to be seen. Regulus’ voice pulled you attention as he spoke “You alright Sunflower?” The group fell silent as they all turned to look at you. But they were met with a smile and a nod “Of course I was just looking for them. I wanted to thank them for coming. I think it's important that our past transgressions are not forced on our children. Owen enjoys Harry's company, I would like it to stay that way.”
Draven felt all his insecurities and worries melt away as you spoke. It reminded him of yet another reason he was irrevocably in love with you. He leaned forward squishing the twins between you slightly as he kissed your temple. It was a small gesture but it was those tiny things that he always did that showed his utter devotion to you and your happiness.
“You're a bigger woman than I am Y/n.. I would've scalped them the moment they stepped foot in my home.” Bellatrix said, causing everyone to laugh and shake their heads. It shouldn't be funny since it was true.. Yet it was.
A small amount of conversation picked up before a small blond preteen came skipping in your direction. One of your teddy bear sunflowers in her hands as she studied the bee that for some reason had stayed despite the skipping. “Auntie… I heard something while I was roaming the garden! Leo told some man that he was going to kill him. Mother and Father are there, as well as Harry, Owen and Draco.”
Luna spoke in the same whimsical but nonchalant tone that her mother often spoke in. While she seemed completely unfazed by her words, the rest of the group went rigid. The twins were sat in a playpen that would be watched by Cissy as you and Draven took off for the gardens. The rest just a few steps off your heels as you took the twists and turns to where you thought your son would be. Macaria found the group on the way, small tears running down her face as she ran to Regulus who wrapped her in a tight hug.
“SPEAK ILL OF HER AGAIN, BLACK! AND IT WILL BE THE LAST THING YOU SAY!”
The anger in Leo's normally sweet voice almost made you stop. You practically skidded around the corner as you took in the scene in front of you. Pandora and Xenophilius both had their hands on one child. Pandora was holding Asteria who had her wand raised at Remus and James whose hands were held up in surrender.
Xenophilius had his hand on Leo's shoulder, speaking softly to him as he pointed his wand towards Sirius. The dark haired man was sitting on the ground, hand held up to his lip that was busted and bleeding.
Leo was taking visibly harsh breaths, his hand shaking in anger as he stared down at the man he had just jinxed. You went to step forward, unsure of which child to go to, but a firm hand on your wrist stopped you.
You turned back to see Draven staring at Leonis, anger and concern written across his face. He gently but firmly steered you towards your daughter. The moment you were in front of her, Asterias hand dropped and tears formed in her eyes. She dropped her wand and rushed towards you, her arms wrapping around your waist as she buried her head in your neck.
You immediately hugged her back, one arm around her back rubbing gently as you whispered that it would be ok. The other hand carding through her hair as you turned your bodies to see what was happening with your husband and son.
Dravens face was red with anger, an anger that you hadn't seen since his father tried to force him to leave you. “Leonis, I understand that you are upset, trust me I am too. But this is NOT how we handle things.” Draven took a deep breath and placed both his hands on Leo's face, forcing him to look away from Sirius and at him before he spoke again.
“That man's opinion of your mother means nothing. Your opinion of her.. Your sisters and brothers and our friends, those are the opinions that matter. And while I am so so proud of you for defending your mum's honor, this isn't how she wants you to act. You should've come to us, and let an adult handle it.”
Bellatrix, Lucius and the Lovegoods decided that they needed to force the ever growing group of preteens back to the party. So they lead them away, Bella wiping the small tears from Owens eyes as she joked about how she should have hexed them years ago. Thanking the gods when the young blond boy laughed slightly before running to catch up with his friends.
Remus and James were astounded at the way Draven was handling Leo. The boy's hand had slowly lowered as he listened to his father speak. It was silent and tense, everyone waiting for the next move. Sirius for once was very smartly quiet.
Remus was watching you, as you stood holding one of his daughters. The girl's shoulders shook slightly as she cried over the horrible things and words she had seen and heard in Sirius’ head. He watched your hands treating Asteria the same way you had held him after hard transformations. He knew at that moment that you probably brought her tea, or read books to your children the same way you had with him.
James was staring down at his boyfriend. His childhood best friend. The one who had convinced him that you were not good enough for him. That a life with you wasn't good enough for him. The same friend who had pulled him from Lily after Harry's birth. He couldn't believe that he had just witnessed Sirius speak so horrible about someone to their children.
It was like all at once all of the emotional manipulation Sirius had pulled over the years was slapping James in the face. All the times he had made it seem like you or Lily started a fight when it was really him. All the harsh words that the two of you cried over, that Sirius had said was just ‘tough love’, James could now see the hate behind them.
Regret washed over him as he stared down at Sirius who was sneering at a child.
That is.. Until Evan snatched him off the ground. His fist flying into Sirius’ nose, a satisfying crunch coming from it before blood. “That's for all the times Y/n stopped me from finding you and tearing you apart. How disgusting of a person are you that you, an adult, think it's acceptable to speak in such a way to a child!”
Regulus pulled himself far enough away from his goddaughter to speak just after his husband. “And how shameful that you would compare Leonis to our father! Leo is not bullying you for your beliefs or beating you into submission! He is defending his family's honor! Something you know nothing about!”
Draven turned his son towards you, doing everything he could to hold himself together in front of his children. “Why don't you take your mother and your sisters back to the house. Get cleaned up so we can do the dances before we do Owens cake.” He locked eyes with you, his normally bright gray eyes a few shades darker as he nodded to you. He was silently telling you this was a moment he didn't want you to see.
Leo walked his head down in shame towards you, sniffing silently with despair as he thought you were disappointed. But you let go of Asteria with one hand, and laid it on his cheek causing him to look up. His heart squeezed with relief as you smiled at him before nodding your head towards the path out.
Macaria moved from Regulus’ arms and into her brothers as he walked by. Leo whispered small apologies for frightening her as he led her out of the hedge maze. Asteria released herself from your hold, wiping her eyes as she pulled herself together quickly. She walked over, hugged her father and whispered something to him before leaving herself.
When you stayed planted to your spot, Draven sighed and walked towards you completely aware of the three extra sets of eyes on him. He held your face between his hands and gently tilted your head, forcing you to look up at him. You could feel the slight shake to his hands as his thumbs brushed over your cheek bones.
“I have never told you what you could or could not do before.. Sixteen years we have been together and I have never once demanded something of you. So forgive me for doing so now. Go back to the party, check on our children. All of OUR children. Get the kids set with their dance partners, the rest of us will be out in a few minutes. Block off the entrance on your way out.”
His words were true. Never in the sixteen years of being together had he ever demanded something from any of you. He asked and the few times the answer was no, he would reason with you until a solution was found. So even though you wanted to stop him from doing something he may regret, you nodded.
You could see the relief on his face when he realized you werent going to argue with him. He leaned down and planted his lips solidly against yours, he felt like he just needed a moment of grounding before he let you walk away. So he kept kissing you, his hands still slightly shaking and his breath uneven in anger.
Just the warmth of your lips against his cool ones settled him slightly. The addicting smell of the different flowers and herbs that always clung to you now as a potion maker calmed him. The way your body knew exactly when his lips would open slightly to deepen the kiss. The way you knew when to tilt your head and in which direction so the kiss didn't stop in awkward pause.
The feeling of your hands connected him to the moment as one held the back of his neck and the other lay over his heart. The heart that was completely owned and held by you and his kids. The muscle that contained the half of his soul that perfectly fit yours. Your fingers felt his rapid heartbeat slowing as you pulled back, remembering the company that was held at the moment.
“Je t'aime complètement, ma chérie” Draven whispered before kissing your forehead and releasing you. He watched as you and Regulus squeezed hands before you disappeared from his line of sight. The hedges closing behind you as you made your way out.
Regulus and Evan stood watching their blond friend as he tilted his head back, eyes closed and released a sigh. They had never seen him angry, Lucius sure.. Draven never. But the shake in his hands and the color in his cheeks and neck betrayed the coolness of his features as he turned back to the three now standing men.
“Not only..” Draven started but paused as soon as the words were out of his mouth. His eyes had landed on James, who was staring at the now closed bush with a slightly confused look on his face. His cheeks were also pink as his brow furrowed and it was clear he wasn't hearing Draven at all.
Shaking it off he looked at Sirius, the one of the three that he really disliked. “Not only did you disrespect the mother of my children.. To my children.. But you disrespected my wife.”
Sirius scoffed before looking at Draven “Are you seriously about to try and intimidate us? Ill admit you are..” He held his hand up and waved it in front of Draven with a smirk on his face “Like a greek god or something, I mean honestly 10 out of 10. But I don't think your the typ–”
His words were cut off by yet another fist to the face. He staggered back from the impact, this time feeling more than hearing the rebreaking of his nose. The one that had barely been broken before was definitely shattered now.
Draven wanted to hit him again.. And again.. And maybe one more time after that.. Four times for the four hearts he had broken. Because he was rational enough to understand that the anger the triplets were feeling was because they learned that these three men had easily and willingly written them off before birth.
So he wanted to punch each of the three of them at least four times. But he settled for the one, extremely satisfying nose breaking hit he landed on Sirius. He took a few shaky breaths before he turned to look at Remus, recognizing him once again as the ‘leader’ of the group.
“When this party is over, the three of you are no longer welcome here.” He spoke matter of factly, but heard his wife's previous words before adding, “Harry is welcome though, he can be dropped off by you or James. Or brought by Lily and Amos since Cedric comes often as well. But Sirius Black is banned from any and all of the Malfoy family properties.”
Draven readjusted his leather jacket, took a deep breath and turned back to the two friends who were left. “Let's get back to the party.. I'm sure the triplets are going to want to talk before we move on..”
Remus lupin X Reader: Bloody Boggart
Tumblr media
Defense Against the Dark Arts was your favorite class. You were very good and always received the best grades, but that was not the only reason you enjoyed DADA. The other reason was that Hufflepuff and Gryffindor had the class together. Which meant more time to spend with your friends.
The Marauders had been friends with you since your second year, when you had put a jinx on an older Slytherin who had called Sirius a blood traitor. Anytime you were not in your house's common room or in classes you were causing trouble with the four Gryffindor boys. Sometimes James would sneak you into the Gryffindor common room with the help of his invisibility cloak just so you could all be together for a couple more hours. So, it was safe to say that when you read you would be studying your favorite subject with your favorite people you could barely stop smiling.
You had just found the Marauders whispering in the back of the class when your professor had decided to inform you what you would be studying that day. It was a miracle you heard anything he was saying. James and Sirius were whispering rather loudly and being in the back of the room meant there was an awful lot of space between you and the professor.
“Will you two shut it!” you whisper shouted looking at the two boys.
“Deeply sorry madam.” Sirius said while giving a low bow
“I mean it, whose notes you are going to copy if I can’t hear what he’s saying.”
“We’ll just use Moony’s.” James replied matter of factly.
“Not if I can’t hear what he’s saying either.” Remus shot back.
That made James and Sirius stop immediately.
If it were not for yours and Remus’s notes neither of them would have gotten half as good grades in their O.W.L.S and they were both well aware of that. You turned back to the front just in time to hear what the professor had asked.
“Who can tell me the shape of a bogart?”
“No one can Sir, it varies according to a person’s fear.”
“Very good Miss Green, five points to Hufflepuff.”
“Well done, Kelly!” you whispered, patting the blond girl on the back
“Thanks.” she replied with a smile
You turned to your friends only to find them staring at you.
“Why did you do that?” James questioned
“What?”
“Why did you congratulate her? It was an easy answer.” Peter explained
“Kelly’s been having a hard time in class, so I tutored her a bit. You know, to help.” You replied with a shrug
The four boys stayed quiet for a while just looking at you as if they’d found an angel.
“Will you all quit staring. You’re freaking me out.”
“Sorry love it’s just that, I don’t think I’d ever do that.”
“And that Padfoot, is why you’re not in Hufflepuff.”
“Yeah, I reckon you're right.”
“Well, back to the matter at hand. Boggarts. That will be interesting. Don’t you think ?”
“Sure, if you don’t mind having to explain to the Professor why you’re afraid of the moon.” Remus said sarcastically
“Yeah, or mummies.” Peter chimed in
“You’re scared of mummies Peter, what are you twelve?”
Your comment made the boys laugh. You were not one to be mean even if you were just joking the idea that you might hurt someone without noticing made your heart ache. However, when it came to Peter, you could not help it. That boy feared everything. You often wondered how he had made it into the house known for its bravery.
“What do you think yours will be?” James asked you.
“I don’t know, probably something stupid like Peter’s.”
This was a lie.
You knew exactly what your Bogart would be. Every day when you woke up and looked in the mirror you would hear it. Every time you saw him in the hall you would see the words coming out of his mouth. To someone else it might seem silly, stupid even, but to you it meant everything and even the idea of having to face it in front of so many people made your body shiver.
You had been so emerged thinking about your fears that you hadn’t heard the professor’s question and much less Sirius' answer. It wasn’t until he had grabbed your arm and began walking towards the rattling cabinet that you realized what was happening.
“Very well! Ten points to Hufflepuff.”
“Sirius stop.” You tried to remove his grip, but it only seemed to tighten
“Oh, come on it’s probably goanna be something stupid! Like you said.”
“No, Sirius you don’t understand.”
You looked back towards your other friends in a desperate attempt to make them see how scared you truly were and maybe make them talk some sense into Sirius before it was too late. However, when you found them in the crowd Peter and James were laughing so much their faces were becoming red while Remus had his back against the wall, a look of slight worry on his face.
“That’s it, just a little more.”
“Remember it’s Riddikulus.”
“Siri….” You tried to get him to understand but it was already too late.
The professor had opened the cabinet and the moment that boggart caught onto your fear it began whirling into a thick smoke before revealing something only you had anticipated. There, right in front of you was the spitting image of Remus Lupin. At first, the boys couldn’t believe what they were seeing and when their mind had finally understood all they could think of was that you were about to reveal Remus’s darkest secret, something he had trusted you all to keep so many years ago. So, when the creature didn’t turn into a werewolf but instead began to speak, they were very shocked.
“Well look who it is, the worthless little Hufflepuff who thinks she’s better than everyone just because she has a kind heart. I mean come on, what is the point of having a kind heart if the only person you want to give it to would be revolted by the mere thought of it. Yeah, that’s right, I know all about your little crush on me. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Why would I, a Gryffindor, a prefect, a boy who could have anyone he wants, choose you? A good for nothing, weak little Hufflepuff who cannot even admit how she feels. You disgust me.”
If Remus’s clone would continue saying foul things to you was something you would never know, because the moment you heard a voice shout Riddikulus you ran for the door.
Tears streamed from your eyes as you ran out of the class and down the hall. Bumping occasionally into an unsuspecting first year. You ran until you found a corner where there weren’t any students. You sat down, pulling your face in between your knees, and crying so hard you began to shake. About five minutes had passed when you heard footsteps coming in your direction. Even though your arms were covering your head, the light from the hall was coming in from the gap between your knees so when you noticed it get dark you knew someone was standing at the hallway's end.
“Go away Sirius.” you muttered
There was silence followed by a few steps in your direction.
“Don’t you think you’ve done enough?” you inquired
The footsteps didn’t stop, you even thought that they had sped up slightly.
“I SAID GO AWAY SIRIUS!” you screamed, raising your head from between your knees.
“Yeah, well it doesn’t count if I’m not Sirius, does it?”
There, a couple steps away from you, was Remus. He looked very worried and was carrying two bags. One that you immediately recognized as yours.
“I’m fine Rem, just go back to class. I’ll be there in a bit.”
“No.”
“What?”
“No, you’re not okay. No, I’m not going back, and neither are you.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because the Professor dismissed us. He said you wouldn’t be in a proper state to come back and that someone should go check on you. A lot of people volunteered actually... but he said it would be best if it was me.”
“He was wrong. You’re the worst choice.”
“Come on don’t say that you don’t mean it.”
“Yeah, because I’m just a stupid girl, right?”
Remus was slightly shocked at your words. He had never thought of you as stupid. If anyone ever called you that in front of him, he would definitely hex them. Deep down you knew this, but your mind was still replaying the things he had said, or rather the things your boggart had said.
“I’m sorry, you never said that. I just... thought you would.” You whispered before tears started to form once again.
“Hey, it’s okay.”
Remus put both bags on the floor before sitting next to you, his arms pulling you to his body. You cried into his shoulder, your nostrils noticing the scent you loved so much. Lavender and chocolate.
“I smelled you in my amortentia.” You said after a couple moments of silence.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I always knew I was falling for you, but when I smelled you in that bloody love potion, I knew I was in deep.”
Remus stayed quiet for a couple seconds and your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat. This was the moment you had anticipated for so long.
“It’s okay Rem, just let me down a bit gentler than that thing did. I’m a big girl. I can handle it.”
“What are you going on about?”
“Your rejection. I knew it was going to happen, just go easy on me. Okay?”
“I don’t think I can do that.”
“Why the hell not?”
“Because to reject you I would have to not like you. And I don’t.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that I like you too. From the moment I first saw you.”
You couldn’t help yourself anymore. His lips were mere inches from yours, so you just kissed him.
And to your delight he kissed back.
platonic or pre relationship LAMP + platonic (or romantic tbh) Demus, Fantasy AU, Circle of Magic (Tamora Pierce) AU
Universe primer for anyone who has not read the books:
Universe where some people are born with magic, with varying degrees of power. Some people get academic magic, where the magic comes from the person, and some get ambient magic, where the person can 'tap into' the magic of something in their surroundings, normally through performing a craft (eg cloth weaving, smithing etc).
Academic magic is much easier to see and children with magic are normally detected early and trained in how to control their powers. They can choose to study to be mages at universities/temples. it is more common and, in general, more powerful than ambient magic. Ambient magic is much harder to spot and can be harder to control, as practitioners are constantly bombarded by magical energy from their surroundings. it can 'get away' from the user and cause problems if they don't learn to control it. Normally taught via apprenticeship by another mage with the same craft.
Actual Story:
Roman (dancing magic), Logan (water magic) and Virgil (weather magic) are all kids with ambient magic who arn't discovered until they're much older (13+). None of them were aware they had magic and had just resigned themselves to being 'weird'.
inevitable tragic backstories:
Roman's family are nuovo-riche and have always been resentful of mages, who they think look down on normal people. They have a 'children should be seen and not heard' attitude and are basically waiting for Roman to be old enough to marry a suitable girl/ take over part of the family business before they will be interested in him. He is absolutely forbidden from singing and dancing/generally making a nuscience of himself, but he can't help but feel he gets good luck for the day whenever he's able to sneak off and dance...
Logan is a street kid with a reputation for always knowing which water pumps are working and safe to drink from. This is enough for one of the local gangs to take him in even though he's not strong and has bad eyesight, although he can see clearly when he looks at reflections in water. His whole gang end up being rounded up and arrested after robbing the wrong rich guys house, but Logan manages to escape through the sewers, ending up alone on the wrong side of the city....
Virgil is a noble and hears voices. His family care about him but are also terrified of anyone finding out that their heir is 'mad' so he is locked up in his room for most of his life. He was tested for magic as a little kid but they didn't find anything, they don't realise he's hearing voices on the wind. When Virgil was little he got incredibly angry with one of the servants, for reasons he now can't even remember, and said he hoped she would die. That evening, she was killed in a freak storm whilst walking home. Even though Virgil didn't know he had weather magic at the time, he still blamed himself and is absolutely terrified of storms as a result...
All three of them get found and rescued by Janus, an academic mage who specialises in 'finding hidden things' amongst other seer related skills, and brought to a temple to be trained. None of them can fit in with the other children (a mix of academic magic users and non magic kids who are training as adepts) so they're moved out of the dormitories and into a cottage on the temple grounds. Janus and Remus (a plant mage who is always covered in dirt) are the adults living there who become their main teachers.
Janus and Remus are trying their best but like....there is a REASON they haven't taken on apprentices before, let alone kids with as many issues as these three. And the kids do not get along. at all. Roman's too loud, Virgil's too quiet, Logan doesn't trust anyone. Things in the cottage are ~tense~
Patton is another kid adept in training who is being raised at the temple. Whilst there, it's discovered that he also has ambient magic - in cooking. This is a much more common, mundane form of magic than the overpowered, rare magics that the other three have. But it does mean he gets extra 'lessons' in the temple kitchens at odd hours, and ends up meeting and bonding with the other three separately.
Roman's terrified of messing up in front of adults and acts loud and obnoxious in his efforts to be 'perfect' (or at least better than the other two) (even though he can't sit still and meditate AT ALL and he knows that drives Janus crazy and he's totally going to kick him out and send him back home to his parents and and and- ) but Patton is just another kid, and Roman can sneak off at lunch break to meet him and just play and dance silly jigs without worrying about it being perfect. And Patton will always clap and whoop and reward him with home made toffees (his parents never allowed sweets) which give him this like. confident feeling he's never had before.
Logan meets Patton whilst trying to steal extra food at night. Logan doesn't trust adults At All and finds all the rules and regs of temple life baffling, but Patton makes sense to him - Logan needs extra food and Patton needs protection from bullies in his dorm. It's a good trade, even if Logan gets in trouble for 'accidentally' soaking some snooty adepts on their way back from the library. Patton gives Logan biscuits which never go stale, even if he hoards them in his room for weeks, and starts teaching him to read in exchange for stories of life outside the temple. He also accidently gets Logan addicted to jam.
Virgil absolutely hates leaving his room but R&J give him one chore which forces him to go outside: collecting breakfast from the kitchens in the morning. Patton notices Virgil looks terrified of entering the busy kitchen, so he starts meeting him outside with a basket of food. Eventually Vigril's starts coming earlier and earlier so he can stand and chat with Patton for longer before he goes back. he doesn't really get WHY Patton likes him but the morning conversations quickly become the highlight of the day. Patton brews him his own bled of tea which gives him this feeling of calm, even during a storm.
ANYWAY. Eventually SOMETHING happens which puts Patton in danger (i'm thinking....Pirates? Fire in the Kitchen? Bears? idk) The other three have to work together to rescue him and end up finally bonding as a result. After that they start hanging out as a four whenever they can. At some point Janus starts inviting Patton along to their group teaching sessions since he's a good influence on the other three and then he starts staying for breakfast/ lunch / dinner until one day Janus looks at Remus and is all "...do we have a fourth child living in this cottage?" And Remus just sighs at him like. Honey. You're meant to be this all powerful seer how did you not notice we essentially adopted this kid three seconds after he tasting that soup he made. And Janus grumbles but like. He loves these kids he wants them to be happy and Patton is TECHNICALY in need of a teacher too, even if he's got way more control of his powers having grown up in a temple, he is still a kid, so its not totally unreasonable he should move into the cottage.
And it was really good soup.
Soon, he discovers the unfamiliar sight of his brother Regulus smiling and looking truly happy, next to him a Ravenclaw girl who immediately captures his interest. What will happen when the Black family gets involved in their sons lives and the ones they hold close to their hearts?
Warnings: Food and mentions of eating. A little angsty but nothing heartbreaking.
“Reg?” you called.
His body froze mid step, and then he turned around.
His face remained neutral, not an emotion crossing his features until he saw you there, standing in the middle of the hall. He opened his mouth but closed it again, his eyebrows rising slightly. He didn’t move from his spot, he just observed with doubt.
“Y/N.” he said, voice infuriatingly even and calm “You shouldn’t be out this late, you’ll get in trouble.” he took a few steps towards you, reaching his hand towards you, and you let him.
“It’s not that late.” you said, your usual light gone from your voice as you glanced slightly to your side, Sirius eyes pleading as he shook his head. You bit the inside of your cheek and gave him a subtle nod, his chest falling in relief as backed away, just seconds later he was gone from where you had hid together.
Your attention returned back to Regulus, his hand taking yours in a gentle grasp. He pulled you to his side and started moving through the same halls you always walked to get back to your common room, the opposite direction of where he had come.
The tension filled the air in a way it had never happened between you two, the silence uncomfortable enough to make you want to pull away from his arm and confront him, Sirius’ face flashing back in your mind and the desperation in his whispered words. “Don’t.” a simple mouthed word that made your stomach turn. You would have to wait to find out what was really happening. You knew Regulus would never tell you the truth, not about this. He would deny everything you just heard and somehow you knew you would believe him and forget about it for the night. But you weren’t the only one who heard him, his words would return to you in dreams and you would wake up with his voice not only inside your head but from himself, and you knew Sirius would be the same if not worse. There was not denying what you two heard that night.
“I thought you would be reading by now.” Regulus said, breaking the silence and just like that you were back next to your best friend. For a simple moment the last couple of minutes were erased from your head and you were back a few months ago, forcing Regulus to sneak out of your commons rooms late at night to bake cookies and make him live a little. Just the sound of his voice, those little words coming out of his mouth while he ignored the fact you knew more than he intended to let you know, while he acted as normal as he always did, that simple fact made your heartbeat slow down and put your mind at ease. Everything was the same as usual.
But then his voice turned cold and calculated, his words on repeat inside your head.
Pure enough
“I got a little hungry.” you lied, keeping your eyes in the distance as you kept talking “I got started with it but my stomach wouldn’t let me focus and I took a little walk to the kitchens.”
“In this direction?” he asked, and you turned your head to him, confusion written all over your face until you realized where you were.
“I think I need more sleep than I realized.” you laughed, taking a look around you as if you were taking the castle in for the first time.
“Here.” he said, shaking his head as he reached his hand inside his bag, pulling an apple from inside it “You didn’t even get to the kitchens, did you?”
“Well, I was on my way when you pulled me in the opposite direction.”
“You were the one who called my name, if I remember correctly.”
You nodded, fidgeting with the fruit in your hand as you suddenly turned to a loud noise behind you. Regulus turned in time with you, his eyes narrowed as he squeezed your hand “C´mon.” he told you, starting to walk again.
Your eyes lingered in the empty hallways of the castle, turning with the shake of your head “I was surprised to see you out after dinner.” you said “You’re always in bed or at least in your common room by now.”
You noticed how he clenched his jaw, licking his lips as he thought for a moment “Class got really interesting, we didn’t realize what time it was until it was too late.”
You hummed in response, not giving him a particular answer as you reached the entrance of the Ravenclaw common room.
“You’ve never told me what this class is about.” you told him, turning to him as you stood by the door.
For the first time that night he looked surprised, his silence more than enough answer for you.
“It’s not really a class, just a study group for defense against the dark arts.” he answered, taking a step back.
“I could use some help in that area.” you murmured, loud enough for him to hear you.
He let out a chuckle, raising an eyebrow in your direction “You do not.”
“How do you know?” you asked, crossing your arms over your chest in defiance.
“Because you and I have competitions. Most of the time we’re even, no one ever wins.”
“Yet.” you said, looking at him with a smile.
“So you know I’ll win.” he said back, taking a more confident stance. “Good. You were never a good loser.”
You gasped, covering your mouth trying to muffle the loud sound of your voice. “I hope you take that back in the morning.” you said, dramatically turning around in your spot as you moved your robes to hit him. “Goodnight.” you said, whispering the answer to the riddle and stepping inside your common room, the last thing you heard being him wishing you goodnight.
Once the door closed you rested your entire weight against it, letting out a heavy sigh as you covered your face. “Merlin, help me.” you muttered, sliding down to the floor.
*******
The next days were just like you remembered, like nothing had ever happened. You woke up and had breakfast with your house to then go to find Regulus and start the classes for the day. It wasn’t difficult to act like everything was just as it used to be, because nothing had really changed and you weren’t acting. If it was the case you had problems believing what had happened that night. Sometimes it felt like a bad dream, like Sirius’ words got tangled inside your head enough to affect your dreams. But it wasn’t a dream and the only person who shared your secret seemed to be doing his best effort to avoid you.
You hadn’t seen Sirius since that night, his worried yet relieved face the last you saw of him. You had been looking discretely around the castle, keeping an eye out while you changed classes or while being at the Great Hall.
Is this what he felt when you locked yourself inside the Ravenclaw common room? The constant drop of your heart every time you saw someone with the slightest resemblance to him only to find it was another student with black hair or messy uniform. The worst came when you actually found black hair and grey eyes, the live image of Sirius drawing a smile on your face only to find green colors instead of scarlet red.
For the first time in your life the look of Regulus Black looking back at you with a smile didn’t get the same reaction from you, instead your own smile dropped while you sighed.
“Is something wrong?” he asked, taking hold of his broom.
“No,” you lied, placing a hand on your chest. You blew out a breath while pretending to breathe heavily “Just out of breath. I ran all the way here.”
He looked at you with the raise of his eyebrow but said nothing, the rest of his team walking past him as they got out on the field. His eyes followed them for a second. “I have to go now,” he told you, “I’ll look for you after in your spot, okay?”
“Right.” you said with a smile, holding him by his shoulders and pushing him out “Good luck.” you said, giving him a pat on the back just as he walked away.
Defeated, you walked to your usual spot in the bleachers. Sitting down and dropping your bag beside you. You didn’t feel like reading at the moment and the Slytherin practicing had never been able to capture your attention but now you stared with curiosity at Regulus. He had tried to explain the game to you before and though you understood the rules you didn’t understand the game. What was the point? He already had so many things to do and he wasted time playing?
Maybe he needed a cover.
You can’t think like that, you chastised yourself mentally.
But what if you were right?
A cover for what genius? you asked yourself.
Whatever he’s planning, whatever he’s doing.
He’s still your best friend, he didn’t suddenly turn into an evil villain.
You let out a heavy sigh, covering your face with your hands as you groaned. You needed to find Sirius.
*******
“I don’t think it’s a good idea.” Peter whispered. He was the one leading the Marauders to the kitchens, walking on the front of the group under the invisibility cloak. The other just kept mumbling and trying to keep quiet. They knew at first sight no one would be able to see them but if they paid enough attention they would be able to see four pairs of shoes walking with no bodies around Hogwarts. The cloak was big but not big enough.
“Don’t give much thought to it, Peter.” James said, patting his friend on the back “Think of all the food we’ll have by the end of our little adventure.”
“Chocolate.” Remus whispered, his mouth watering just at the thought.
They were just outside the kitchens, the Hufflepuff common room door somewhere near but that wasn’t their goal tonight.
Peter stopped suddenly, making the three boys crash on each other's backs with low complaints “There someone here.” Peter muttered, holding his hand up to indicate the other to stay put.
“Probably some of the elves.” Sirius offered, trying to move past Peter when he was told to be quiet and pushed back to his place. Like it had always been there he started to hear it, a low hum coming from the kitchens as things were moved around. He knew that voice.
“C’mon,” James said, all of them moving together until they quietly entered the kitchens.
The place was warm and the aroma that filled the air reminded each boy of different things: home, sweet, chocolate, warmth. The low hum was now a consistent song, the words a little out of tune but still beautiful and filled with no thoughts. Just a melody to fill the void of the late night hours.
Still they all froze at the sight of the person standing there cluelessly in their presence.
A hard nod from his head and they were all moving back, taking step after careful step to the door when a single spoon dropped to the floor, the little sound capturing your attention immediately.
You looked up, eyes narrowed as you walked closer to the source of the sound. You cleaned your hands with a small towel but still your face and some parts of your hair were covered with flour, you didn’t seem to care. Not giving it much thought you picked up the spoon from the floor and put it back in place, looking around you suspiciously before you shrugged your shoulders and went back to the task at hand.
“I need sleep, I need sleep and I need more sleep.” you mumbled with a breathless laugh “And what am I doing in the middle of the night?” you asked yourself, holding a wooden spoon in front of your face as if it was listening to you “Baking.”
“They do say Ravenclaws are clever.” you continued, holding the spoon correctly as you started mixing again. “Not me, though. Oh no, I leave everything until the pure pressure of deadlines makes me do it, I know things but not important things. I do read, but not what I’m supposed to read because honestly, who wants to read twelve pages of a single spell when all I need to know is what it does and how to point and shoot.”
They tried, the four of them really tried but in the end Remus couldn’t keep it in and he let out the smallest of laughs, covering his mouth the minute they saw your face shot up again. Sirius didn’t even think about it, his hands on Peter’s back as he pushed him with all his force.
Peter stumbled out of the cloak and its refuge, the noise masking the gasps from James and Remus as they stared with wide eyes at Sirius, then at Peter and finally at you. James wanted to laugh again at the sight of your face, the only way to describe it being like a deer caught in headlights.
“Peter!” you gasped, letting your body fall back as you supported your weight on the counter behind you “Where in Merlin’s name did you come from?” you asked, voice higher than usual as you moved to take a look around, making sure no one else was around.
“Hello.” he waved awkwardly, turning to look behind him and then back at you “I am just hiding.” he explained.
You nodded your head even if you didn’t believe him at all. “I didn’t hear you, you really are quiet.” you told him with a smile, “And what brings you to the kitchens on this lovely night? Other than hiding, of course.” you added, taking a look in the oven before you closed it back and turned to Peter.
He smiled tightly, looking around as he scratched the back of his head “Midnight snacks…” he murmured, earning a laugh from you as you nodded.
“You and me, both.” you said “Hey, this batch of cookies will be ready in five minutes, do you want some?” you said, never dropping your spoon as you pointed it at him.
“Really?” he asked, before he shook his head “No, I can’t take your cookies.”
You smiled, looking around at all the trays with already made cookies cooling off “I think I have enough to share.”
He waited in silence, seeing you work as you pulled the hot trays from the oven. Making sure they were all done before you put the newly made trays inside, closing the oven and letting out a huff in relief.
You took a small bag you had ready, taking some of the cookies and placing them inside “Peter,” you called, not looking at him and focused on your task “Can I ask you something?”
Peter swallowed hard but made a sound as a positive answer, something like a hum you had never heard from him.
“Have you seen Sirius lately?” you asked him, your voice calm but a hint of desperation slipping through your words “I’ve looked for him the last couple of days with no luck. I really want to talk to him and I can’t help but feel like he’s avoiding me.”
“He 's not.” He was quick to assure you, raising his hand in the air as a way to keep you calm. Or maybe keep himself calm. “We’ve all been busy lately. I’m certain it has nothing to do with you.”
You gave him half a smile, lifting the tray of cookies you had just taken out of the oven. You took some of the cookies, a dark beautiful red color with chocolate chips on top filling the bag as you walked towards Peter.
“I hope you’re right.” you said, handing him the bag “Here, those are really special.” you pointed inside, his eyes following you “It’s my grandmother’s red velvet cookies recipe. It’s a big secret so I hope you enjoy them.”
His smile was bright when he looked back at you “I’m sure I will.” he said with a nod of his head.
Once he said his goodbyes he left, walking carefully around the kitchen until he got to the door. You were certain you heard murmurs once he dissapeared from your sight and you smiled to yourself. Should I go after him? He’s probably right outside. You give it a quick thought before deciding it was better to leave it be for the night.
The conversation waiting for you was a difficult one and you knew it. Sirius knew it, probably being the reason behind his sudden disappearance. Better leave it for a time when you both are ready to face the truth of the situation.
“Goodnight, Sirius.” you muttered to yourself, completely unaware of the boy standing just beside you in the shadows of the invisibility cloak.
The ghost of his voice reached your ears, a warmth filling your chest as you were certain you heard him answer.
Hi!! So I was listening to paper rings by Taylor Swift today and the lyric 'I like shiny things but I'd marry you with paper rings' made me think of coops and o'knutzy. Could you write a prompt about this?! <3
This song is so perfect for Coops and it’s the best way to start of the long-awaited wedding series! Yay! Sweater Weather credit goes to @lumosinlove!
Combined with:
1. Domestic Coops
2. Remus making fun of Sirius’ initials
3. Sirius trying to make Remus moan while he’s on the phone with his folks
4. From @colored-rain: Taking Hattie to the vet
TW for mild smutty content, taking a pet to the vet, and the inherent stress of wedding planning
I: Six Weeks Before the Wedding
“Where are we even going to do this?” Sirius asked, running a hand through his hair.
Remus shook his head silently, pressing his forehead into the wooden edge of the table. “What if we elope?”
“Celeste would skin us both.”
“True. Oh, god, my dad would cry if we did that.” Remus slid down in his seat and stared up with sad eyes. “Can’t we just be married already?”
“I could get tinfoil from the kitchen and just…” Sirius mimed wrapping it around his ring finger and Remus snorted.
“Baby, I would marry you with paper rings, but I think we want them to last.”
“You like shiny things!”
“I do, that doesn’t mean I want tinfoil on my hand for the rest of my life,” Remus laughed, pulling him in for a quick kiss. “Alright, let’s go through our list again. We agreed on small, right?”
“Just the team and families. We still want it to be outside?”
“Yep.” Remus checked off two boxes on the piece of paper they had been grappling with for the past four days. “Rings have already been ordered?”
“I’m doing that this afternoon. What kind of cake do we want?”
“Uhhh…an edible one?” Remus shrugged. “I don’t have a huge preference. Chocolate is really good but all the ones from the store are spongy.”
“Wow, an edible cake, so original,” Sirius teased. “We can ask Celeste what she thinks.”
“Good plan.” He paused for a moment. “Where outside will we do it? We need an actual venue. I think people would be upset if we just had a wedding in a public park.”
“The media would be all over it, too.” Sirius scrunched his nose up in thought just as their timer went off and both sighed as they headed for the door. “It’s going to be hard to focus on practice when we know next to nothing about the wedding we’ve been planning for over six months.”
“We’re disasters.”
II: Four Weeks Before the Wedding
“We’re not putting that on the cards.”
“Why not?” Sirius frowned and looked down at the mock-up invitation. “It’s our initials. It’s cute.”
Remus blinked at him. “Sirius. Your initials.”
“Do you not want my initials on our joint wedding invitation?”
“I would love to have your initials on our joint wedding invitation, except for the part where it’s the same acronym as ‘son of a bitch’.”
Sirius paused, then groaned and put his hands over his face. “Fuck, I forgot about that.”
“You forgot your own initials?”
“I forgot the son of a bitch thing!”
“Okay, I clearly don’t tease you enough for that,” Remus snickered, wrapping an arm around his waist to kiss his cheek. “Alright, attempt number eight is a bust.”
III: Three Weeks Before the Wedding
Sirius ran his fingers gently through Remus’ hair, feeling him shift in the darkness. “What’s on your mind, mon amour?”
“Are we changing our last names?”
“Did we…not discuss that?” Sirius wracked his brain, but it was so exhausted from wedding topics that he came up empty.
“I don’t think so.” Remus scooted around so he was on his side, facing Sirius. “Both our names are super connected to our jobs. Plus, Lupin-Black might be a little long for jerseys.”
“I’d rather not go through the whole name-change process.” There was a beat of quiet. “Though I do like the sound of Sirius Lupin.”
Remus’ breath audibly caught and he leaned closer to Sirius, nuzzling against his shoulder. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
IV: Eighteen Days Before the Wedding
Remus’ back hit the mattress with a soft bounce that was quickly stilled by Sirius’ weight pressing him down by the hips, his mouth skimming along all the right places on Remus’ neck. “Yes,” he hissed as Sirius ground down, their bare chests bumping together. He dipped his hands beneath the waistband of Sirius’ sweats and he shivered, nipping the hinge of his jaw.
“Wait,” Sirius gasped, pulling back to straddle Remus’ waist.
“What? Is this a flamingo moment?” Remus panted, still buzzing with arousal.
“Did we invite your parents to the wedding?”
Remus stared at him in disbelief. “Are you fucking kidding me right now?”
“I don’t think we did.”
“Sirius, you are literally about to—holy fuck, did we invite my parents?”
“I don’t know!”
Remus groaned and let his head fall back against the pillows before tapping Sirius’ hip and swinging his legs over the edge of the mattress. He grabbed his phone off the nightstand and dialed his mother’s number, taking a few deep breaths to collect himself as it rang.
“Hello?”
“Hey, mom, how’s it going?”
“Oh, it’s going fine out here. How’s wedding planning?” Hope asked. Remus could hear her smiling.
“That’s what I’m calling about, actually. Did you—” He bit his lip as Sirius’ fingertips trailed up his thigh. “Uh, did you get an invitation?”
Hope was silent for a moment, save for a few rustling sounds. “Now that you mention it, I don’t think so. Lyall! Honey, did Re send us a wedding invitation?” There was a low humming noise as his father responded. “He says we didn’t get one.”
Remus winced. “Sorry about that. I can text you the details, if you want.”
“Will you mail one as well? I want to put it in our memory box.”
Sirius’ hand slid further along Remus’ leg, growing closer to his inner thigh by the second and doing nothing to quell his frayed nerves. “Yeah—yeah, mom, we totally can.”
“Are you alright? You sound a bit out of breath.”
“Hattie was running around and being a little crazy.” Remus covered the speaker with his hand and turned to glare at Sirius, who grinned and kissed his cheekbone.
“Okay,” Hope sounded skeptical. “So you’re not getting sick or anything?”
“Nope. Healthy as a horse.” The last word came out a little breathless as Sirius licked a stripe up his neck and bit down on the junction to his shoulder, making Remus’ eyes flutter closed. He smacked Sirius’ hand halfheartedly and felt him grin.
“How’s Sirius doing?”
“Fine, he’s fine. We’re a little stressed with the wedding planning and everything, but things are good here.” Really good, he thought as the heel of Sirius’ hand pressed down just next to his dick. He swallowed down a moan and squeezed his eyes shut. “Alright, I’ll text the details to you this afternoon love you mom bye.”
“Love you t—”
A millisecond after the call ended, Remus slammed his phone into the nightstand and pushed Sirius into the sheets, bracketing his face with his elbows. “What the fuck was that?”
“I’m just keeping things interesting.” Sirius tugged his lower lip between his teeth and smirked, which really left Remus with only one option: kissing him senseless until he couldn’t even remember his own name.
V: Three Days Before the Wedding
Sirius’ leg bounced up and down nervously and he gripped Remus’ hand as they waited in the lobby of the vet’s office. “She’ll be okay.” His voice was noticeably higher than usual and he cleared his throat. “She’ll be fine. It’s just a cough.” A cough that’s been going on for four and a half days.
Remus hummed his agreement, though he hadn’t stopped twisting Hattie’s leash in his hands since they arrived. “Just a cough. Probably a cold, or—or something like that.”
The doors ahead opened and both of them stood as Hattie trotted out next to the vet tech, who looked rather amused. “What’s wrong with her?” Sirius asked, scanning her for any signs of illness. “Is she alright?”
“She is a very talented actress,” the vet said, rubbing Hattie behind the ears. She whined pitifully and cuddled into Sirius’ side. “Have you two been busy lately?”
“We’re planning for our wedding.” Remus looked as confused as Sirius felt. “Why?”
“Because Miss Hattie here is one of the healthiest, snuggliest dogs I’ve ever seen.”
“But she was coughing.”
“She was faking.” The vet knelt next to her and petted down her back, raising an eyebrow. “Weren’t you, munchkin?”
“Hattie!” Sirius exclaimed, torn between relief and shock. “You little monster!”
Remus frowned and tapped her forehead lightly as he slid her leash on over her head. “We were so worried about you! Why would you do that?”
“She’s probably been sulking because you’re busy with wedding stuff,” the vet said with a smile. “Quite the drama queen you’ve got there.”
“Tell me about it,” Sirius huffed as he kissed her head. “Don’t ever do that again, young lady. You’re in big trouble when we get home.”
“Thank you for your help,” Remus said, shaking the vet’s hand. “We really appreciate it and we’re so sorry for wasting your time.”
“Are you kidding? She was the best part of my day,” he laughed. “All the other techs can’t stop talking about Hattie cuddles now. Have a good one, you three.”
+1: The Lions, the Media, and the Locker Room
Word spread like wildfire in media circles, and the rumor mill had never worked harder once news of the Black-Lupin wedding came out.
Naturally, the Lions decided to have a little fun with it.
“Pots! Pots, what can you tell us about Black and Lupin’s wedding?” Four different microphones were shoved into his personal space, but James put on his best confused face.
“What wedding?”
A wave of murmuring spread through the reporters. “So you weren’t invited to Sirius Black and Remus Lupin’s wedding?”
“There’s a wedding?”
Across the room, two other interviewers mobbed Thomas Walker in his stall. “Talker, do you know anything about Black and Lupin’s wedding?”
“Who?” he asked with a perfect act of innocence.
“Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.”
He bit his lip. “I don’t think I know them, sorry. Are they fans?”
“Talkie!” Remus tossed him a towel from the adjacent stall, and he caught it with a grin.
“Heads up, Loops!” Talker threw it right back and headed toward the ice baths with a wink to the cameras. “Good chat, guys.”
One of the interviewers muttered under their breath and hurried over to Pascal, who was still unlacing his skates. “Dumo, when is the wedding between Sirius Black and Remus Lupin?”
Dumo frowned. “Quoi?”
“The wedding. You were invited, yes?”
“Desole, je ne parle pas l’anglais,” he said regretfully. “C’est un…wedding?”
“Yes, the wedding between your teammates.”
“These words, I don’t know them.” His French accent was almost comically thick as he shook his head. “Desole.”
Out of view of the cameras, Sirius gave him a thumbs-up and reached over to high-five Pots.
It was well known throughout your first years at Hogwarts that you and Sirius did not get along. He honestly annoyed the shit out of you everyday. He came from a rich pureblood family and you were a muggleborn, so anyone could see how the two of you clashed there.
All of the professors were completely done with you and Sirius’s antics. It started off with Sirius somehow managing to turn your hair green during the first flying lesson that the Gryffindors had. “Hey y/n, your hair is amazing! Didn’t think you could pull off the green!” a peer had spoken to you just before mounting your broom.
Sirius broke out into a nearly uncontrollable laughter and got a detention for it. But of course, none of that stopped you from getting back at him. Even just the simplest of pranks had gotten the job done.
There was one prank at the start of second year that earned you and Sirius a month’s worth of detention with Slughorn. He basically had the two of you as his personal assistants. It was honestly torture. But there were moments when he would step away from his classroom to talk to another professor, or slip away into his office to plan the next day’s lesson, and it would leave you and Sirius alone.
The two of you gave in and finally had a conversation with each other. It wasn’t much and it was very awkward, but seeing as this was your first day out of a month’s long sentence of detention, someone to talk with didn’t sound too bad.
And that was what blossomed a very chaotic friendship between the two of you. Having to suffer together was what drew the connection. You two eventually planned your own little pranks against other people.
Despite everything in your younger years of being at Hogwarts, Sirius was your closest friend. You could maybe go as far as to call him your best friend, but you’d never say that to his face, it’d add to his already huge ego.
You ate nearly every meal with him. You’d practically drag him into the library to study. He mentioned something about doing well in school for his parents, so that’s what you’d help him with.
Though the two of you quickly learned that it’s very hard to focus in each other’s presence.
You taught him how to braid hair. He practiced using yours. “Would you stay still, y/n?”
“I’m trying! You’re the one yanking me back and forth, Sirius.”
From that point after, you’d sit in between his legs on the floor as he sat on the couch.
He got you sucked into quidditch and nearly got you to try out for the team. “I think it’d be fun having you on the team!”
“I think that’s your way of saying you want to spend more time with me.”
“Of course,” SIrius shook his head no.
One day he saw someone in the hall walk by with eyeliner and he demanded that the two of you try putting it on yourselves.
This ultimately got you in trouble for staying up way too late, laughing at how silly you both looked in the prefect bathrooms. Lily would allow you in saying “This is going to get my badge taken from me, I swear.”
You two eventually got back to studying after Sirius received some notes from his parents.
You caught on quickly that he didn’t have the best relationship regarding his family.
It was actually a little difficult being friends with Sirius at first. It was very hard for him to just be vulnerable and talk, but by fourth year, you understood where he came from and didn’t push for anything. You listened to him the very few times when he would make small little notes of his family, or talked about his brother while passing him in the hall.
Your conversations were more so filled with random things that only really made sense to the two of you. Any outsider would’ve thought you two were completely crazy.
By fifth year, you were looking at Sirius in a whole different light and you hated it. You wanted to be way more than friends and didn’t know what to do with yourself. You started to avoid him. This was the worst and best decision ever. It’s still debatable.
While the rest of your friends were taking a little day to Hogsmeade, and while you were still on a streak of pretty much avoiding Sirius, you slipped off from the courtyard, taking a less used corridor towards the library.
Here, you found Sirius with his shoulders shaking, head in his hands, and your heart shattered. If you were feeling this, you couldn’t even begin to imagine what he must feel like. He didn’t pay any mind to his surroundings until you slid down the wall next to him, placing your hand on his shoulder.
He didn’t even have to look to know that it was you. He leaned into your shoulder while you brought your arm around him, quiet sobs escaping from his body.
He always kept parts of him, especially these emotions so closed off, that it honestly was a little surprising to see him like this. “Sere, tell me what’s wrong,” you whispered.
“I- um, it’s nothing. I just got a letter from home and it’s-” he broke down again.
At this point you let your legs stretch in front of you. He was still under your arms until he just let himself go. He let himself feel. And relax. And he understood that it’s okay to cry. And be vulnerable. And that you were safe to talk to about anything. He hugged you full on. He clung on tight as he cried. And man, you were fucked. This wasn’t helping any sort of feelings you were trying to suppress by being here in his presence. It honestly nearly broke you. You wanted to cry for him. Scream for him. Go off on his parents for him. You wanted to protect him from all that could ever hurt him this way.
He talked about everything that has happened up until the letter and stammered off his explanation with one final point. “A-and I’ve missed spending time with you. It’s like you’ve been avoiding me,” he mumbled into the thick air. He was laying down against you with your fingers in his hair. “It’s like I- I’m missing a part of me. Like we’re so close I couldn’t possibly imagine my life without you.”
You stumbled over your words, trying to find out what to say. ‘If only he knew’ you wanted to groan out into the air. “I’m sorry,” was all you could say, tears stinging your eyes while you blinked them back, hugging him tightly.
From that moment, the two of you had bought bracelets at Hogsmeade and spelled them to change a certain color for when the other wanted to talk, or simply just needed to be with the other. They were simple fabric ones, something you both liked and wore everyday.
Most of the time Sirius came to talk to you about his parents. Which was new considering he was a little closed off before.
You were there if he needed to cry. You would hold him if he needed a hug. You would laugh with him when he didn’t want to be the only one. You were there for him for everything.
There was one night that was really bad. His parents basically sent a letter saying not to come home in the future. You were supposed to meet him in the library yet he wasn’t there.
After asking around, you found him in the Gryffindor common room when it was far too late for you to even be out. His face was tear stained and his eyes were an irritated pink. Though he didn’t seek you in the first place, he didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around you, burying himself in your comfort.
By sixth year it was supposedly “Painfully obvious you two were basically in love with each other” Remus would say every time you gave up a library visit to be with Sirius. Or James would very blatantly leave you both to carry out specific parts of a prank together. Lily would just leave you and Sirius alone together whenever she got the chance, really.
One particular Gryffindor win for Sirius was crashed by some Slytherins who came without any good intentions. It was soon discovered that there was veritaserum in the drinks that, of course, you and your friends had already enjoyed.
All of this prompted you to leave the party. You left with a big group of people, Remus, James, Peter, Lily, Mary, Marlene, all off to the grounds, trying to avoid any trouble. You stayed back with Remus and Sirius while the rest walked ahead, talking about the most random of things, like how Remus wants to ride a unicorn. He eventually sped up with the rest of the group, claiming he was going to ride a unicorn, properly drunk. “Mhm, yeah. You go have fun with that Remus,” Sirius called to him as he stumbled ahead.
You and Sirius couldn’t go as far as to say you were drunk, but definitely tispy. You walked over to a small tree and sat yourself under it, laying back against it. Sirius did the same thing except he leaned his head on your shoulder and you leaned yours on top of his. It was a sweet moment as he mindlessly played with a thread hanging from your robes.
The veritaserum didn’t bother the two of you much, you were honest with each other most of the time anyways. Well, it didn’t bother you much until Regulus and a few of his friends stood over you, making fun of how close you and Sirius were. You kept your mouths shut for as long as you could. “What it’s not like you like each other. Do you, Sirius?” Regulus pushed.
“I actually like y/n a lot. She’s always there for me and—” Sirius slapped his hand over his mouth, eyes wide.
“Hmm, and I don't suppose you feel the same way, y/n?”“
“I have feelings for Sirius,” you blurted out right as Regulus and his friends walked away.
Sirius looked over to you, smiling like an idiot. You leaned your head back against the tree, covering your face with your hands just before he pulled them away. He squeezed them in a comforting manner and asked why you hadn’t said anything before. “Because you’re such a great person, like you deserve the world and I don’t think I’d be enough a-and I hate that people keep asking questions because I’m on this stupid veritaserum that’s making me look like an idiot
He cut you off with a kiss, effectively shutting you up. The kiss was rushed at first before turning into something exploding with passion that you didn’t even know you needed until now.
“Well, you’re a beautiful idiot. Because, as said before,” he mumbled the last part, returning to his normal tone of voice. “I like you too. A-and I guess that you could tell me that I’m an idiot because—”
“Why didn’t you tell me you liked me, Sirius?”
“My entire life is a mess and I have too many problems and you’re always there for me to begin with, I’d take up too much of your time if we actually ended up dating. And you’re perfect and I look like absolute shit all the time. Just as you said you deserve the world but as I’m saying all this, I’m starting to think,” he trailed off searching your eyes for words. “I'm starting to think that we deserve each other,” he finished in a soft voice.
“I think we deserve each other too,” you grabbed his face gently, kissing him.
That night is now the day you and Sirius started dating, one of the most memorable days of your lives.
You never left breakfast in the Great Hall without stealing a kiss.
Or a piece of bacon from his plate.
There’d be some nights where you could sneak away and fall asleep with him peacefully and everything seemed alright.
‘Vanishing Spells (or: How Sirius Inadvertently Outed Their Relationship)’
Vanishing Spells (or: How Sirius Inadvertently Outed Their Relationship), by weightyghosts
“James thinks he’s sneaky, Lily knows exactly how to push Sirius’ buttons, Sirius is a tad overprotective, Remus is exasperated with them all, and Peter is definitely sleeping in the common room tonight.”
   It’s a frosty December night and the boys are in the Gryffindor common room, still sitting by the fireplace from when they had come in to warm up after a snowball fight with the Slytherins.
Well, it wasn’t so much a fight as a sneak attack that involved the Gryffindors hiding behind Greenhouse Two and pummeling those green-clad gits with exploding snowballs... But the Marauders still considered it a battle won in the war against their enemies.
James and Peter are occupying the couch, finishing their Transfiguration homework (really it’s just James writing and Peter peeking over his shoulder), and Remus and Sirius are in the plush crimson wing chairs that flank the couch.
Remus is engrossed in a book Dumbledore gave him on Non-Being Spirituous Apparitions, and Sirius is sitting sideways with his legs dangling over the arm of the chair, drawing idly on the back of his completed essay, and tapping his foot to an unheard beat (much to James’ annoyance).
Sirius is also trying very hard to stop himself from staring at Remus, but he can’t seem to help his eyes wandering over every few minutes to watch the way the firelight brings out the auburn and gold in the werewolf’s hair, the ends a bit curled from the wet snow outside.
Remus glances up at him but looks away quickly, a light blush spreading up his neck. Sirius bites the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling, going back to his doodling. This thing between them is still new and exciting, and most importantly: a secret.
A few quiet minutes later, James puts his quill down and stretches his arms over his head, letting out an exaggerated grumbling noise, a habit that Remus finds slightly irritating.
“Hey, Padfoot?” James asks in an offhanded way.
“Mmh?” Sirius murmurs, not bothering to look up from his sketch of a dragon breathing fire on a figure that looks suspiciously like Severus Snape.
“How’s your boyfriend?” James asks casually.
“He’s-“ Sirius glances at Remus automatically, then freezes when he meets amber eyes that are wide with a silent warning.
Sirius’ eyes flick back at James, whose entire face is screaming, “Ha! Got yah.”
“Wait, what? I don’t have a boyfriend!”
“Oh, no?” James arches an eyebrow in disbelief.
Peter puts his unfinished homework down and settles back on the couch to watch the evening’s entertainment.
“No! I think I would tell you if I had a boyfriend.”
“You don’t need to tell me, because I already know.”
Sirius drops his quill in his lap and folds his hands together, eerily similar to how Professor McGonagall does when she knows she’s about to hear a tall tale.
“What is it you think you know?” he asks in a patient tone.
“I know for a fact that you and Remus are seeing each other,” James replies.
“James!” Exclaims Peter, like he’s scolding him for outing an unspoken secret. Which he is.
But Sirius has his wits about him now, and keeps a carefully composed face, lips pulled up in a small smile.
“What makes you say that, Potter?” Sirius asks, adding a little bite to James’ name.
“Well, Black, ” says James, returning the bite in kind, “maybe you’ve forgotten but,” he lowers his voice a little and leans in closer to his friend, “we have a map of the school that shows where everyone is at any given time?”
Remus has to admire how Sirius is able to keep any emotion from showing on his face at this information, like he didn’t even hear it. It’s truly impressive. But he also seems unable to reply, so Remus steps in.
“It’s not a big deal, James, I’ve just been helping Sirius-”
“Yeah I’ll bet you have, Moony,” James says suggestively, with a cheeky grin.
Remus blushes and returns to his book so he can pretend to focus on something else.
“Hey!” Sirius interjects, but immediately regrets showing his obvious dislike of what James was implying when James turns back to him looking rather smug. He continues, more calmly, “I didn’t want to tell you and Pete...but I’ve been having trouble with vanishing spells, so Remus has been helping me practice.”
“Bollocks!” James refutes, “You’ve always been good at charms.”
“That’s why I didn’t tell you! It’s embarrassing.”
“That explains it then, Prongs,” Peter says, trying to placate them.
“Thank you, Peter,” Sirius says, and tips an invisible hat to the blond boy.
“Oh come off it!” James jumps back in.
“Come off what?” Sirius asks, his voice rising with indignation. Of course James is right but he’ll be damned if he lets the prat be aware of it. “You think because you saw us together on the map once or twice-“
“Seven times.”
“S-seven times,” Sirius stutters but pushes on, “that we’re suddenly shagging behind your backs?”
“Yes.”
“That’s complete and utter-”
“But it’s not just the map,” James says, straightening up into a more formal position as if he’s about to recite a speech he’s been working on for a long time, and when Sirius sees Peter roll his eyes, he’s fairly sure James has practiced it on him.
“Something has been going on for weeks,” James continues, “You’ve been sneaky and quiet and acting all cute with each other, and going off on your own places,” James turns to Remus now, “and I know Sirius was in your bed at least once because I saw him sneaking back to his own one morning, and we’ve been friends for over five years so if you think I don’t know you two well enough to know when you’re happy and when you’re hiding something, you’re absolute bloody imbeciles.”
Remus and Sirius are quiet for a moment as that sinks in, then open their mouths to speak at the same time.
“What do you mean acting, ‘all cute-’” Sirius asks.
“Sirius was in my bed because I had a nightmare,” Remus states, shooting Sirius a look, “He was just checking if I was alright.”
This makes James pause, chewing on his lip. He knows that it isn’t uncommon for Remus and Sirius to turn to each other when they have nightmares, it had definitely happened before, but he was so sure this had been different. He has a harder time accusing Remus of lying, though, so he decides to address Sirius.
“When I said you’ve been acting all cute with each other, I meant that you’re all affectionate and stuff! And Padfoot,” James looks around the somewhat-busy common room to see if anyone is listening, but they aren’t so he continues, “has been very protective over Moony, lately.”
“That’s true,” Peter says thoughtfully, tapping a finger to his chin as he thinks back to the last couple of full moons.
Remus looks surprised at that and glances at Sirius with questions in his eyes.
“I’ve always been affectionate and protective with him,” Sirius says calmly, but his cheeks are slightly pink and can’t seem to meet Remus’ gaze, “It’s just the way we are.”
“This is different,” James says.
“Nope. You’re wrong,” Sirius says, picking up his quill and going back to doodling as if the matter is closed, “Utterly wrong.”
James crosses his arms petulantly, the frustrated frown on his face displaying how annoyed he is that his friends won’t just tell the truth.
“It’s true, James,” Remus asserts, “There’s nothing going on.”
“Oh, for Merlin’s hairy left b-”
“What’s that, Potter?”
Lily Evans had appeared in the common room as if by apparition, and stood by Sirius’ chair with a bemused expression on her face.
“Er, h-hey Lily,” James stammers as a blush creeps up his neck to the tips of his ears. Sirius rolls his eyes at the way James completely falls apart when this girl they’ve known since she was a tiny, obnoxious Firstie shows up.
The fact that Remus makes Sirius’ brain and insides melt with merely a look is a completely different cauldron of kelpies.
“What are you talking about that’s gotten you so riled up?” She asks with a smile, always enjoying a rattled James Potter, and crosses in front of the fireplace to sit on the arm of Remus’ chair.
She puts a hand on Remus’ shoulder and they smile at each other. Although, Remus’ is a little forced, as he doesn’t particularly want Lily involved in this conversation. They’ve grown to be close friends since becoming prefects last year, and she knows him too well. He’s fairly certain she’s already figured out about him and Sirius.
Remus looks over at Sirius and is surprised at the hostility in his face. He seems to be glaring at Lily, or more specifically, her hand resting on Remus.
Remus sighs loudly, forcing down the urge to roll his eyes, and Sirius’ mouth twitches.
He loves how easily exasperated his boyfriend gets with him.
“I was trying to get these two wankers to admit that they’re seeing each other!” James replies to her.
“Oh, no, I don’t think so,” Lily says matter-of-factly. They all glance at her in surprise (the boys in question looking away quickly so as not to seem too interested, of course).
“What? But you said-” James starts.
“No,” Lily interrupts, “They’re definitely not together.”
Sirius bites his tongue to keep from asking, “Why the hell are you so damn sure?”
“What makes you say that?” Peter asks, and Sirius reminds himself to be extra nice to Peter tomorrow. Or to at least try to.
“I just don’t think Remus is Black’s type at all, you know? He’s not...” Lily trails off, searching for the right word, “He’s just not really…”
“Not really what?” Sirius demands, forgetting the façade as anger bubbles in him. How dare she imply that Remus isn’t anything?
“Look, as much as I love Remus,” who she throws a pitying look to, and Remus braces for what she’s about to say next, “He’s a...you know... and I just don’t think he’s good enough for you.”
Remus closes his eyes and chuckles, but the sound is drowned out by the explosion that erupts from Sirius.
“WHAT?”
He’s on his feet, paper and quill knocked to the floor, as conversation in the common room halts and all eyes lock on him.
“Remus John Lupin is the absolute best, most brilliant person in this entire sodding school, you witless wench!”  Sirius bellows, pointing an accusing finger at her while ignoring James’ gasp at how Lily is being spoken to, “And he happens to be exactly my type! Everything about him is my type! He’s beautiful and smart and sexy and funny, and a bloody good kisser, and he makes me very happy, and- and…”
He starts losing steam when he sees the extremely-pleased-with-herself smirk on Lily’s face. His eyes flick to James who goes from looking indignant to surprised to ecstatic at Sirius’ soppy declaration, to Peter who is just dumb-founded, and finally to Remus.
Remus is half covering his bright red face with his hand, attempting to disappear into the fabric of the chair. Sirius hears him laugh softly, though, and his anger is immediately quashed.
“Thanks so much for that, Lily,” Remus says sarcastically.
“You’re welcome,” she says cheerily, planting a kiss on Remus’ forehead. Sirius crosses his arms and frowns. “So predictable, Black,” she continues, shaking her head at him.
“Am not,” he denies, then has the decency to look abashed when adding, “But, you know, you should apologize to Remus for what you said.”
“Oh please, Rem knows I think he’s too good for you. I’ve told him many times.”
“You what?” Sirius looks accusingly at the werewolf.
“I thought she was joking?” Remus replies lamely.
“Lily Evans, you are an absolute genius,” James says, gazing up at her with glazed, adoring eyes. He looks about ready to swoon.
“And you, James Potter, are an absolute moron,” she says simply, “They’ve been hiding this for weeks, and you think they would just come out and say it if you confronted them with it? I told you it wouldn't work. Honestly, you know them better than that,” she adds with a tone like a disappointed school teacher. James could point out that he initially tried to catch Sirius off guard, but he doesn’t seem to want to contradict her. In fact, he seems rather enthralled by her chastising.
“Wait...weeks?” Peter asks in a small voice, looking as lost as he does in Potions.
Lily nods with a smile, rubbing Remus’ shoulder.
Sirius clears his throat and walks over to Remus, figuring he should apologize for blowing their secret, but mostly so he can get Lily away from his sexy boyfriend. He shoos her with a wave of his hands, and she gets up, tossing her hair at him before going to sit in the chair he just vacated.
“Sooorrrry, Mooony,” he croons, then takes the book from Remus’ hand so he can sit down in his lap. Remus’ eyes flash around the room at all the people watching them amusedly, but he rationalizes that there’s no way he could get any more embarrassed than he already is, so settles on sighing and shaking his head.
“You really can be thick sometimes, Sirius Black,” he says teasingly, loosely wrapping his arms around Sirius’ waist.
“Only sometimes,” Sirius says, then his face lights up like he just realized something, “Silver lining, though, Lupin, I can do this now.”
He cups Remus’ cheek, tilting his head up as he leans in and presses their lips together. There are a few cheers and whistles from the other Gryffindors, and Sirius chuckles into Remus’ mouth. Peter and James, however, are busy groaning and dramatically covering their eyes as if they’re witnessing Filch undress.
“Eugh, I don’t want to see that!” James whines.
Sirius pulls away to glare at them, and Remus blushes even more furiously, shooting apologetic looks at their friends. Apparently he could get more embarrassed.
“You wanted to know, James!” Sirius asserts, “You insisted, in fact. Now you have to suffer the consequences.” He turns back to Remus and to pull him in for another kiss.
“Please get a room!” Peter complains.
Sirius detaches their lips again and looks thoughtfully at the blond boy.
“Good idea, Pete,” he grins, “Come along then, my love.”
Remus is sure his face must be about to burst into flames, but he lets Sirius pull him to his feet anyway.
“Oh no,” Peter says, eyes wide, “That’s not what I meant! Please don’t-”
“Don’t worry, mate, we’re only off to work on our vanishing spells,” Sirius replies wickedly, clapping Peter on the shoulder as he drags Remus towards the staircase to the boy’s dorms.
Lily laughs, and Peter looks back at James, who narrows his eyes and crosses his arms.
“Good show, Pettigrew,” he snaps, “Now we can’t go upstairs...bloody ever.”
Lily rolls her eyes at them and gets up from her seat.
“It’s not like they’re going to do anything they haven’t already done in there,” she says, and grins at the horrified looks on the boys’ faces.
Sirius yanks open the door to their room and tugs Remus inside. Remus goes over to sit on the edge of his bed, quirking an eyebrow as Sirius locks the door with his wand. Sirius turns and walks over to him with a sheepish smile playing on his lips.
“Vanishing spells?” Remus asks, his voice full of poorly-suppressed humour as he looks up at Sirius and opens his knees for Sirius to stand between them.
“An excellent cover-up!” Sirius replies, placing his hands on Remus’ shoulders.
“You panicked.”
“I might have panicked.”
Sirius smiles as Remus laughs at him, his favourite sound in the world. “I didn’t like how Lily-”
“The witless wench?”
“The witless wench- was talking about you.”
“I appreciate you defending me,” Remus says with genuine affection in his voice, then slides his hands slowly up Sirius’ thighs, “It was rather sexy.”
Sirius bites his lip, enjoying where this seems to be going. “You know what, Moony?”
“What, Padfoot?”
“I wouldn’t mind practising a vanishing spell on your trousers right about now.”
He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively and Remus falls back onto the bed with a groan, throwing an arm over his face.
“What a line,” he grumbles, but Sirius can tell he’s laughing.
Sirius climbs onto the bed, straddling Remus with one knee on either side of his hips.
“Did it work?” He asks, pulling the other boy’s arm down so he can look into his eyes.
“Absolutely not.”
Sirius frowns. “Is the spark gone now that everyone knows?”
“Yes. It’s completely gone. I was only with you because of the sneaking around.”
“Git,” Sirius says, poking Remus in the ribs, “I’m going to make you pay for that.”
“Oh yeah?” Remus’s eyes light up with mischief, “How?”
“Take your trousers off and you’ll find out.”
“Take them off for me.”
“Can’t. We never actually practiced the spell.”
Remus growls and pulls Sirius’ head down to kiss him hard, effectively ending the banter.
*
Half an hour later, James and Peter are standing on the other side of the closed door, trying to discern if it’s safe or not to go inside. When they hear whispering and a muffled moan, James turns to Peter and glares at him, lightly smacking the back of his head. They begrudgingly stomp back down to the common room to settle on the couch, for what will no doubt be a long night of homework.
BTHB: Trapped In A Net
warnings: miscommunication, past familial and domestic abuse mentions, injury, violence, terrible decision making skills
-
When Virgil finally decided to brave shallower waters, it had already been nearly half a moon cycle since Logan had vanished.
He’d made excuses at first, telling himself that the dread he felt was just his normal brand of overwrought paranoia. For the first few days, he was half-convinced that his curiosity-prone friend would appear at any moment, probably lugging some sort of stray litter or ‘interesting human artifact’ along with him to explain why he’d been late.
Things would be normal again. Virgil would find some rocks for them to sun on and Logan would ramble on about the potential uses of his find, and maybe Virgil would teasingly suggest some outlandish way the trash was secretly a violent human weapon, just to hear Logan thoroughly refute it.
After another three days passed with no sign of the other selkie, Virgil was forced to let that fantasy fade. Logan had never been this late before, not even that time he’d managed to carry an entire minifridge along with him for Virgil to identify.
Something had to have happened to him.
He’d spent the next week scouring the currents for any sign of his missing friend, even approaching other pods and asking around, requesting that they keep an eye out for any signs of Logan. He didn’t expect much from that; the two of them didn’t socialize with other selkies often enough to make any friends, and their two-person pod was too small to spare any food during winter, so there was nothing for the other pods to gain by helping them.
Virgil knew better than most how selfish pod politics could be.
Every few days, he would return to their meeting spot and catch a few hours of sleep to keep himself from crashing, always naively hoping that Logan would be there when he woke. He never was.
In the end, he had to face what he’d already known from the beginning: either Logan was dead, or he’d gone onland and gotten himself bound by a human.
He didn’t want to believe Logan had decided to brave the human world even after Virgil’s many, many warnings against it, but believing the alternative was even worse. So, he steeled himself to do the one thing he’d sworn to never do again, and headed for the cold, rocky shores of the nearest human settlement.
Naturally, he spent so long swimming back and forth between different stretches of beach, trying to force himself to take those literal first steps, that he didn’t notice the woven fibers dancing in the water until he’d plowed right into them.
A fishing net, dyed skillfully to blend in with the water, and large enough that when he tried to twist out of it, he only became further entangled.
Panic set in, then, clouding his mind and leaving him thrashing ineffectively like a simple animal. He couldn’t help it-- he couldn’t breathe underwater in either form, had no gills to keep him steady as he was dragged along by the current. He couldn’t untangle himself while adrift, couldn’t find solid ground while tangled. He would drown.
Between one blink and the next, he found himself in open air, gritty sand pressed against his face. Waves crested gently around him, a sharp contrast to the headache pounding around in his skull.
He never thought he’d be relieved about blacking out and beaching himself, but then, he’d never been worried about drowning in his own element before.
Okay. There weren’t any humans around to see the stupid idiot seal stuck on the beach. This was still salvageable.
Taking a deep breath, he attempted to bite through the netting with his incisors, and got a mouthful of sore gums for his trouble. The dyed fibers seemed to be woven around a base net of fishing wire, because of course they were. He let his head thunk back to the sandy ground, groaning at the new surge of pain the motion caused.
Sun-warmed saltwater continued to wash over his tail, and he blinked slowly, measuring his breaths. He could figure this out. He wouldn’t dry out. He just needed a moment to put himself back together. He could… He…
His eyelids grew heavy, and everything went dark.
-
Roman thought the guy was a pile of garbage at first, to be quite honest.
Not on purpose, of course! But, come on, when one sees a mound of mystery washed up on shore, it generally ends up being a bunch of tangled old fishing nets wrapped around half-rotted driftwood, not a bunch of tangled old fishing nets wrapped around beautiful strangers wearing expensive-looking fur coats!
His next thought, once he’d gotten closer, was that the beautiful stranger wearing the expensive-looking fur coat was dead, and that a body had washed up on his little strip of shoreline. Pallid skin, blue lips, and deep shadows under their eyes-- the beautiful stranger wasn’t exactly giving off an aura of vim and vigor.
He’d spent a few moments staring at his contact list, trying to figure out what in the world he was supposed to do about a body. Should he call 911? … Should he call Remus?
Before he could make a decision either way, he finally picked up on the shallow rise and fall of the beautiful stranger’s chest, and realized that they were still alive! Potentially not for much longer, laying out in the cold all soggy like that, but Roman could work with mostly alive!
And so, he found himself here, carefully carrying the small but surprisingly dense stranger up to his home by the cliffs, and risking looking like a total serial killer doing it.
He couldn’t help but theorize as he walked. A beautiful stranger in expensive clothing, tangled in nets with what appeared to be a head wound… It read like an old unsolved case in a detective novel, where the mysterious stranger in question got in too deep with some dangerous people and ended up clubbed over the head and dumped into a river to tie up loose ends.
“Except you managed to survive, obviously,” Roman said to them, mostly to reassure himself. He really had to stop eavesdropping on Remus’s true crime podcasts. “And you made your way to me! Excellent choice, I’m great at nursing people back to health. Probably. I don’t have much practical experience, but, you know, I’ve read extensively about this exact thing. In romance novels. As one does.”
The beautiful and mysterious stranger continued to be unconscious. Roman was starting to feel grateful for it.
His house was empty, thankfully, since his brother had work to attend to today. He fumbled with the keys for a moment before pushing the door open and carrying the stranger inside, sighing with relief at the warm air.
“That’s got to feel much better, hm?”
He sat the stranger down in the foyer, removing his shoes to go grab some scissors from the kitchen.
“First order of business,” he announced in his best announcer voice, “getting all that netting off of you. While I’m sure you could rock fishnet leggings, fish nets on their own just don’t have the same je ne sais quoi, you know? Also, they look very uncomfortable. You’re great at staying still, so just keep that up.”
He carefully cut his way through the looser parts of netting, pulling it off piece by piece until all that was left were the abrasions where they’d formerly cut into skin. Roman had no idea how they’d even managed to get that tangled up, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to know. It couldn’t have been pretty.
In the process of removing the net, however, he’d noticed another rather pressing matter.
Going by the flash of thigh he’d accidentally witnessed while shifting the net around, the stranger definitely wasn't wearing anything under that fur coat of theirs. Like, nothing.
(Exactly what kind of situation had the stranger been in before this?!)
Even so, leaving them in a sodden coat couldn’t be good for their constitution. Or his poor couch’s upholstery.
Roman spent a few moments puzzling the situation out before coming up with a brilliant solution. He retrieved the fluffy gold comforter from his bed and draped it over the stranger, covering their front half with it. Then, he carefully worked their arms out of the coat’s sleeves, very pointedly not focusing on the adorable freckled shoulders this operation revealed. Finally, he tugged the entire coat out from behind them, wincing at the slight furrow that appeared in their brow.
“Sorry, sorry, I know the cold floor can’t be comfortable…”
Soggy coat removed, he was free to continue bundling the rest of the comforter around the stranger’s back, therefore making it easy for him to pick them up in a neat little bundle of blanket and deposit them on the couch. No nudity awkwardness required!
Pleased with his solution, he draped a fluffy towel over the stranger’s head and carefully dried some of the dampness from their hair. Next, he wasted no time in stoking the fire higher in his hearth, sending waves of warmth into the room and making it so the stranger’s skin didn’t look quite so clammy.
Once he’d cleaned up the mess left in the foyer and grabbed the first aid kit from under his sink, he planted himself in a chair next to the couch, feeling ready to handle anything.
“Okay, Google. How do I treat a head wound?”
-
Virgil felt as though he’d woken to a nightmare.
He was in the wrong body, surrounded on all sides by heavy fabric and warm air, and his coat was missing. That list of facts alone was just about as bad as any night terror he’d had.
The humming was unusual, though.
A soft tune, occasionally broken up by a half-muttered lyric or two, carried through the air, voice completely at ease. His mother had never sung to him in front of others, and it sure as hell wasn’t his father.
He tried to remember where he’d been last. The back of his head stung… he’d ended up on a beach? The tide had been turning, from high to low… He must have dried out up there, changed into his less durable form. And now he was warm and dry.
He clenched his fists weakly and grit his teeth, knowing that a human had found him and stolen him away. Just like his mother. He’d come to find Logan and lost himself before ever even starting. Typical.
“Are you with us, Sleeping Beauty?” a bright voice asked.
The humming had broken off while he was absorbed in his thoughts, and now he could hear the shift and rustle of movement next to him. He opened his eyes, already aiming the coldest possible glare at his captor.
He was sort of surprised to find that the human sitting at his side wasn’t holding his coat. His father used to make a point of handling his mother’s coat at any opportunity. He’d liked to watch his mother stare at it, resting assured that so long as he held it in his possession, she could do him no harm.
This human was much younger than his father had been, probably around as old as Virgil was now. He had dark skin and soft eyes that reflected the firelight, and he was smiling hopefully at Virgil.
“Hello there! It’s excellent to see you looking a little more lively! I was starting to think about actually calling the hospital, heh.”
Wordlessly, Virgil slowly shifted to sit up, shoving the thick blanket out and shaking the cloth from his head. He looked down, confirming what he already knew. No coat. The human hadn’t even bothered to dress him up in human trappings to ‘make up’ for the absence.
“Ah, yeah... I sort of basically pulled you out of the ocean and what little you were wearing was completely soaked.” The human rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “I figured it’d be less of an invasion of privacy to just let you get dressed yourself once you woke up?”
Oh, the human was worried about his privacy? What a joke.
“I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, truly!” the human continued, oblivious to Virgil’s rising ire. He gave a mocking little bow, pretending to respect the one he’d abducted. “My sincerest apologies.”
He was done playing along with mind games like these. Better to let the human know where they stood right off the bat.
“I’m going to kill you,” Virgil promised, and then lunged for the human’s jugular.
To his genuine surprise, he actually made contact, hands clamping onto the junction between collar and throat. The human let out a high-pitched yelp as his chair toppled over, taking both of them with it.
Virgil landed knee-first on the human’s sternum, and paused to blink down at the wheezing stranger, who apparently had been so confident in the weakness of his victim that he hadn’t bothered to bind Virgil from harming him in advance.
Unless.
His grip loosened slightly, just in time for the human’s fist to catch him squarely in the mouth. He threw himself backwards, rolling with the force of the motion to get some distance and hunkering in a crouch. It had been too long since he’d been active in this form, his sense of balance was in shambles.
The human scrambled to his feet, and grabbed the back of the chair, eyes wild. He thrust it out between them like a barrier, as though it could prevent any more strangulation attempts.
“What is wrong with you?!” he shrieked, voice cracking as his gaze flickered back and forth between Virgil and some far off point. “I tenderly nursed you back to health, and your response is to try and murder me? Unfair! Cruel! Rude!”
“Where is my coat?” Virgil replied, voice hoarse and split lip stinging. A test, because humans were tricky and loved to lie.
“Your— your coat?” The human pulled up short, head tilting slightly in a bewildered manner. A convincing actor, if nothing else. “Is that what all this is about? I put it on the coat hanger to dry! I know better than to try and wash someone’s fancy fur coat without permission, yeesh.”
A low warning growl in the back of his throat, Virgil turned his gaze from the current threat and followed the gesture the human had made.
Sure enough, there it was. His freedom, draped on a peg in the open with all the rest of the human’s fabric outer layers like some common garment.
“Do you… want me to get it— eep!” The human lifted the chair back up in paltry defense as Virgil snarled at him. He rose up and crossed the distance to his pelt in five wobbly strides, before the human could try and return it to him and lock them both into a loveless marriage.
Some of the tension eased from his shoulders as he quickly wrapped his second skin around him, that grounding weight settling back where it belonged. He still couldn’t shift back, not here, but the ocean was close enough to taste in the air.
The human was still huddled defensively by the fireplace, looking indignantly bewildered and not at all like he knew he’d just given up the perfect opportunity to control Virgil.
Which meant that-- barring some incredibly convoluted scheme-- he really had no idea. And Virgil had tried to strangle him, even if under false pretenses. He drew the edges of his pelt closer around him, rolling the beginnings of an apology around in his mind.
-
The mysterious stranger was still glaring at Roman like they were contemplating continuing to try and strangle him to death at any moment.
He’d brought a half-drowned stranger into his home and tenderly treated their injuries, and what had he received in return for his efforts? A murder attempt, which now that he thought about it was maybe an outcome he should have considered earlier. Remus would never let him live this down.
Assuming he lived long enough for his brother to give him shit about it, that was.
The stranger seemed to at least be a little calmer now that their reclaimed coat was thoroughly wrapped around them, rendering them more lump-shaped than person. Roman felt much more secure in glaring back, too.
He set his impromptu shield/chair down firmly on the floor. “I have no idea what your problem is, Gloomy B. Jones, but where I’m from, the response to someone saving you from dying of hypothermia is ‘thank you’, not a strangulation attempt!”
The murderglare intensified. “I didn’t ask for your help.”
“Yes,” Roman said, disbelieving, “because you were too busy being unconscious. On the beach. In 40-below temperatures!”
“That’s my problem, not yours,” the stranger responded snappishly.
Roman threw his hands in the air, but his impending frustrated rant was impeded by the sight of a stifled flinch running through the stranger. Feeling a stab of guilt, he lowered his arms slowly before continuing.
“It seems I made it my problem when I dragged your soggy self all the way to my house, so--”
“Great news for you, then: I’m leaving.” Baring their teeth in a distinctly unfriendly manner, the stranger turned to do just that.
“Hold it!” Roman called, alarmed. “You’re going into town like that?! People will think you’re a flasher!” Even his brother wouldn’t go out dressed in nothing but an oversized coat. ... Probably.
The stranger paused, squinting at him warily. Roman took it as a cue to continue.
“Look, clearly we got off on the wrong foot here. Several wrong feet. Let’s try again. I’m Roman Faroe, I work for the local newspaper, and you are…?”
“None of your business,” replied the stranger, with all the stubborn petulance of a toddler digging their heels in and refusing to move whilst smack dab in the middle of an overcrowded supermarket.
“Would you like me to call you ‘Almost-Corpse-I-Dragged-Off-The-Beach?’ Perhaps make up a thematic nickname or two for you? Because let me tell you, this is exactly how you get called--,”
“Hold on,” the stranger cut him off, a realization seeming to dawn on him, “did you say you worked for the news?”
“Yes, I mean, the newspaper not the news. Although I’m sure I’d make an excellent anchor,” Roman gestured to all of himself for effect, “my true passion lies in my carefully curated romantic advice column!”
“So, you get all the information in town,” continued the stranger, who had a strange glint in their eye.
“I mean, if you want to be a nerd about it.”
“How about this.” The stranger stepped forward, straightening out of their defensive slouch for the explicit purpose of being just tall enough to loom over Roman. “You want to know my name? I’ll tell you, if you help me track down something important that I lost.”
An investigative quest for a mysterious MacGuffin? Roman swallowed, feeling his heart flutter wildly with what felt less like intimidation and more like excitement. He could totally keep his cool, he just had to open his mouth and say something suave.
“I also want to know your origin story,” he opened his mouth and babbled instead.
The stranger narrowed their eyes for a moment, and Roman belatedly remembered the near-strangulation. Perhaps he shouldn't be agitating a femme fatale type, what with all the emphasis on the fatale.
To his surprise, it only took a moment before they capitulated, sticking a hand out. “Fine. After my thing gets done.”
Roman shook gladly, trying not to shiver at the cool touch. Had they checked to make sure the stranger wasn’t hypothermic yet? “It’s a deal, then.”
“Great.” They twisted on their heel, stalking to the door. “Let’s get this over with, already.”
“Hold on there, Surly Temple.” Roman called, hand on his hip. “I hate to break it to you, but if you go into town mostly naked, the only news we’ll be hearing about will be your immediate arrest.”
The stranger glanced down at his attire, and then released the door handle with a low sigh. “... Pants first?”
“Pants first.”
Dating Remus Lupin Would Consist of...
Remus is an observant fellow. He happened to see you in the garden of Hogwarts, sitting with your friends.
He was so unbelievably tired that day, the first day back from “visiting his mother,” that he nearly blinked and lost you. But then he heard your laugh.
Your laugh soon became the sound he cherished most in the world. You did not giggle childishly like the other girls, but instead you squeezed your eyes shut and chimed in laughter.
He couldn’t help but note how wonderful you looked. You wore comfortable clothing, trousers and a sweater to battle the Autumn wind, but you were captivating.
From then on, Remus Lupin had a huge crush.
He had heard your name from one of your friends who absentmindedly mentioned you during Transfigurations.
He would never admit this, but Remus would whisper your name to himself in the bathroom, enjoying how it rolled off his tongue.
Remus Lupin was good at keeping secrets. He had fooled the entirety of Hogwarts into thinking he was merely visiting his sick parent, but there were three boys he absolutely could not fool.
At first, he tried to hide it, but one morning Peter caught him staring a little too long in your direction.
“What you lookin’ at that’s got you all slack-jawed.” Peter leaned to poke Remus on the skin of his cheek.
Remus would stammer back and quickly look down at his fingers which tightly held a mug of coffee.
Sirius pushed his head so it was directly next to Remus’, cheek to cheek.
“I don’t see what you are so preciously gazing at,” Sirius wiggled his eyebrows, “Guide me so I may see what has caught our Moony’s attention.”
Remus could help himself and he would practically want to die when James poked his head up.
James Potter was a tall fellow, nearly taller than Sirius and much taller than Remus, so when he stuck out like a sore thumb when he searched the Great Hall.
“Oh-” James whistled before sitting down smugly. He leaned back, putting the back of his head into his hands. “Moons, I see,”
“What!” Sirius whined, desperate to see.
“Shut the fuck up,” Remus cursed, burrowing his head into his arms.
“Oi, come on, that’s not nice,” Sirius rolled his eyes. James reached his long arm, stretching and grabbing Sirius’ chin to guide his eyes into place. “Well, in Merlin’s sagging balls, Moony’s got a crush!” Sirius yelled after his embarrassing staring.
“Nice one, that is,” Peter agreed, “Talked to her once in Muggle Studies.” “And, her tits look amazing.” James popped up making Remus furiously glare at him.
If looks could kill, James would likely be dead.
“Prong, come on, mate,” Sirius shook his head, his voice disappointed, “We don’t talk about the ladies here like that, you know that.”
James slumped down, pouting and sheepish, “Sorry.”
“Don’t say sorry to me, say sorry to Remus,” Sirius instructed, pointing at Remus whose cheeks and ears had gone bright red.
“Sorry Moons.” Remus narrowed his eyes at him, deciding he’d forgive him after Charms when he’d really start to feel bad.
“Don’t be mad, Rem,” Sirius sighed, “You know James, he’s an only child, you know only children always end up odd in the head.”
“You know what Padfoot,” Remus rolled his eyes, “That would’ve been sweet if you had not forgotten that I am also an only child.”
Sirius’ mouth fell agape before quickly recovering, “Shut up about the specifics. Let’s talk about the fittest bird over there.”
“How come he can say fittest bird but I can’t say-” James began to argue but quickly stopped his protest once realizing how terribly wrong he was.
“Should ask her out,” Peter smiled toothily, “Give her the Moon Special.”
Remus would look at him in disbelief before shaking his head, “Truly think about what you’ve just said.”
Peter thought quickly before slowly nodding in understanding “I see, when I saw Moon Special it makes it sound like-”
“Pete, my love, be quiet.” Sirius shushed, placing his finger on Peter’s lips dramatically.
“Oh merlin,” Peter would gag, “You need to wash your hands after putting in hair gel.”
From then on, it was incessant teasing.
Remus would flush angrily whenever the boys would crack a joke, even going so far to throw all of Sirius’ pillows onfire.
And still, whenever he could without the boys noticing, he’d admire you.
Little did he know, you were also equally, if not more affected by a certain Lycanthrope.
Remus thanked the souls of heaven and hell when you were paired together for Potions.
He could’ve thrown Peter out of a window and James right next to him for the googly eyes they made when you were turned.
Remus would stutter, something he hadn’t done since he was six, as he spoke to you.
But you were patient and kind, even cracking jokes and sharing notes.
It took a lot of convincing and even threatening for Remus to even try to ask you out.
But because you were equally nervous about him, you thought he was asking you to study outside of class.
Remus was more than confused when he saw you with heavy textbooks in your arms, but decided to “go with the flow” as James put it.
The two of you sat together, whispering and laughing as quietly as you could.
When night drew to a close, Remus was most surprised when you said, “I really enjoyed studying with you, Remus, but I was wondering if next time... we could maybe...” you smiled shyly, “Go on a date? Maybe?”
Remus’ jaw dropped and he couldn’t think of anything else to say but, “I thought this was a date.”
That was the first time of many that Remus made you laugh so hard you dropped your books.
When you began dating, Remus was nervous ALL THE TIME.
Any time he thought about you, he’d get so nervous he’d almost begin sweating and his heart would beat so fast he thought he’d have to go to the infirmary.
You were more open and easier to bring out of your shy shell.
He’d often find himself groaning at your silly puns and nearly shocked when you’d make the occasional dirty joke.
Remus knew he had his friends’ approval when you made a joke about Dumbledor’s sagging balls the first time you met them.
Sirius later said he thought you were so funny he’d shit himself.
Peter agreed while James slapped Remus’ on the shoulder.
Dates consisted of walking the grounds at Hogwarts, going to Hogsmeade and even sneaking out to the kitchen as night.
He had gotten in trouble maybe once or twice with McGonagall for allowing you to accompany him on late night rounds, but that was quickly forgiven as McGonogall seemed to favor you out of any of the students at Hogwarts.
One of Remus’ favorite things to do was to grab you by the waist when you weren’t expecting it.
You’d squeal and squirm as he pulled you in for a hug, telling him “One day you’ll scare me so hard I’m sure I’ll become a ghost.”
You loved to hold Remus’ hands.
Though Remus’ hands and arms had scars, you enjoyed tracing the tips of your fingers along the lines.
Remus found this soothing. He also particularly enjoyed when you went off course and decided to draw tiny hearts on his skin.
The two of you constantly found yourselves giving reminders to the other.
“Have you drank water today? No? Don’t you think that’s something you should do?”
“Remember love, we have that essay for Charms due next Wednesday. If you don’t begin now, you’ll complain and whine about it and I’ll have nothing to say but ‘I told you so.’”
Remus found it adorable how much you loved to cuddle.
No, like, seriously, you loved to cuddle.
Sometimes, he’d be working away at a homework assignment, and you’d disappear somewhere in his dorm.
After stretching his neck, he’d see you laying down comfortable on his bed.
“What’re you doing all the way over there?” Remus asked, laughing lightly.
He couldn’t help but grin when he’d see you move the covers and pat the spot next to you rapidly.
“No no no, Darling, no, we’ve got homework and assignments to do.”
You would continue to pat, nodding your head fastly and giving him a grin.
Eventually, as always, he’d give in, grumbling to you that you’d only cuddle for “five minutes,” which usually translated to “that assignment won’t get done until tomorrow.”
Your favorite position, and his too, was when he rested his head on your chest.
It wasn’t his favorite because of your breasts, though that was a huge plus, but mostly because he could hear your heart.
Sometimes, it was slow, if you were drifting asleep or tired. Sometimes, it would beat fast.
It was your favorite position because there you could play with his hair, pulling and scratching lightly. It was also a lovely spot to rub his back comfortingly.
Remus spent copious amounts of nights, sitting with the boys, his head nearly between his legs as he cried.
He knew he’d have to tell you about his disease, he knew what your reaction would be and he knew it was selfish to keep it from you, but he had just gotten a taste of love and was quite sure he would die of withdrawal.
“Mate,” James would say softly, drawing an arm around his friend’s shoulders, “She isn’t going to care, werewolf or not, she loves you.”
“She’ll leave,” Remus whimpered.
“No, she won’t,” Sirius shook his head, arms crossed and leaning on the dresser, “And if she does, it won’t be because of your werewolf-ness, it’ll be because of your hairy-toes.”
Remus felt a terrible ache in his chest, nearly dry heaving at the feeling.
“Really?” Peter would scold, “Padfoot, now is the time to bring up hairy-toes? At a moment like this?”
James rolled his eyes and continued to comfort his brother.
“As they say, humour is the medicine for all tragedy.”
“Tragedy?” Remus cried out.
“No! What I mean to say,” Sirius quickly recovered, “Is that you have nothing to worry about. Y/N Y/L/N is the last girl to ever be judgemental, I mean have you seen her-”
“Learn when to shut up.” James would warn.
Sirius shut his mouth quite quickly. He knew there was no actual flaw to your personality or you in general, but sometimes Sirius really put his foot in his mouth when it came to emotions.
“What if she does?” Remus asked after a while.
“Does what?” Sirius sighed, sitting next to Remus on his bed. “Leave?”
“Well,” Sirius pretended to think after a bit. He put his arm to hug Remus close, “We kill her.”
As much as Remus felt awful, he couldn’t help but laugh at his friend’s absurdity and utter bluntness.
“No, but seriously, no pun intended, she is an amazing girl, truly, and you’re a somewhat okay bloke. You’ll be fine.” Sirius finished.
Remus was shaking when he told you.
He had asked you to meet him in the Astronomy tower after dark and had arrived nearly an hour early to pace and fret.
Hearing your footsteps climb the stairs, Remus thought that falling off the tower might be better than telling you.
When he did finally say it, he shut his eyes tightly.
“Oh,” you said. “Well, that’s certainly a surprise.”
Remus would sputter out apologies and acceptances of the break up and promises to leave you alone for the rest of eternity. He only stopped when he heard you laugh. That laugh. The laugh that he so fell in love with you for.
“What? Who said anything about breaking up?” you shook your head with a grin. “You’ll have to try harder than that to get rid of me.”
Remus never felt more relief when you connected your hands and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
“Only thing that matters to me is that you don’t kick dogs and you don’t hate ABBA. Thas all.”
Quick Snapshots of Dating
You were the first to say I love you.
You watched Remus help some lost First-Years find their way along the changing staircase.
He just looked so sweet and kind and made you laugh when he responded to some kids asking him about his scars
“I literally killed a bear, with my hands. A huge bear.”
You couldn’t help it but pull your lovely boyfriend into a corridor and press a long kiss to his lips.
“What’s that for?” Remus teased. “The idea of me fighting a bear that attractive to you?”
When you said it, Remus’ knees buckled.
His mouth went dry, he couldn’t say anything
Despite VERY MUCH wanting to say he loved you too
Instead, his mouth fell open and you laughed and kissed his nose
“See you after Potions,”
Remus made sure, that night when you were cuddling, to hold you closer than ever, telling you how much he loved you.
“I love you, I do,” Remus whispered, but quickly became nervous “If that’s alright with you.”
Remus becomes quite grumpy on Friday mornings.
You aren’t totally sure why, considering you are so close to the weekend, however you’d always have a cup of steaming dark coffee for him.
Despite the cold weather that Scotland brings, you always insisted on going outside for at least an hour on weekends.
Remus was rather shy when it came to PDA
He much preferred to kiss you in the privacy of one of your beds with the curtains drawn.
But, on the rare occasion, he’d sneak you a kiss between classes.
He couldn’t help it.
You had a habit of giving him cute eyes and saying, “Kiss, please.”
One of the boys would always see and pretend to throw up.
Becoming increasingly closer to Remus’ friends as well,
James was rather proud of his little Moony, always nudging him and asking him how his dates were.
Sirius would complain, but would always allow you to braid his hair, sometimes you’d place little flowers in them as well.
You always knew how to make Peter snort with laughter, it became dangerous when you were around during dinner as something always flew out of his nose.
Remus being more than content, ecstatic and heavily in love with you.
Perfect Skin {Remus Lupin x Reader Oneshot}
Requested by: @soularsmate Wordcount: 2570 Summary: Sometimes, a little jealousy can go a long way. Notes: Andrew Garfield as Remus Lupin.
To say that Remus got a little testy near the full moon was an understatement. Even James and Sirius knew to keep their joking and pranking of their best friend to a low around those times. It was like he already transformed into a wolf with how he snarled at anyone who poked fun at him. Even you. It wasn’t even like you had said anything mean to him, you just complained a little about a scar that you had from falling off of your broom the last time that you played Quidditch with James. “Why are you even with me if you hate scars?” He asked, making you and your group go quiet. He wasn’t loud enough for others in the Common Room to overhear over the sound of their own chatter, but he was getting there. “If you hate them that much, then I’ll solve the problem for you. I can’t hurt you if I don’t see you. We’re over.”
Tumblr media
“Remus,” You protested, trying to reach out for him. Usually a hand on his shoulder or a kiss on his cheek was enough to calm him down somewhat. But he wasn’t in the mood for that today. He backed out from your touch, refusing himself that little bit of comfort. And refusing you that comfort as well. It hurt like hell when he got up and left the room, the cloud of bad temper over his head. You just watched, mouth agape, the sweet boy that you had been dating for four months, walking away like you were nothing.
“I’m sure he didn’t mean that...” James said, running his fingers through his eternally-messy hair.
“Yeah, he cares about you a lot,” Peter added in.
“It’s just his moon time, you know how he gets,” Sirius insisted.
But despite them staying with you and trying to convince you that everything was fine, you felt that sting in his words. He had meant them. You shouldn’t have been so stupid as to bring up scars, knowing that they were an insecurity for him. He often went on and on about how you had such perfect skin. It was like he was ignoring that you had scars of your own. That you went through your own pain and troubles and got to the other side of them. Nothing as intense as his of course but - it wasn’t a competition. It shouldn’t have felt like one.
“I don’t want to be here when he gets back,” You said, getting up after a couple of minutes of the boys trying to cheer you up. “Even if he didn’t mean what he said, he still said it. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You left the three boys looking sheepish and upset - they rarely ever saw Remus snap at you like that and it left them feeling uncomfortable. James eventually got up and said he was going to go look for Remus, Peter went up to do some homework before the sunset and they would be going out, and Sirius sat there and stewed. He was close to both of you, closer to you than James and Peter were, anyway.
Remus was going to regret this when he came back to his senses after the Full Moon but Sirius had seen the hurt that was on your face, and wanted to make him regret it even more. A plan started to come together in that devious head of his, and he knew he had to talk to you first thing tomorrow.
-
“That’s ridiculous,” You said at breakfast, watching as the sleepy boy piled food onto his plate. The full moon was a rough night for everyone. You weren’t like the others, you didn’t change your form to try to be with Remus, but you spent the whole night worrying about him anyway. You tried not to, you tried to stay mad at him for attempting to break up with you over something as silly as scars but you loved him too much for that. You stared out the window of your dorm all night, waiting to see the weeping willow freeze and the boys come out of it. So you were much too tired to put up with Sirius’s strange ideas.
“No it’s not,” He said, stabbing a breakfast sausage and shoved it in his mouth. He spoke with his mouthful, making you grimace. How did so many of the girls in this school find this attractive? “It’ll work, I’m serious.”
“Yes, yes, we all know you’re serious,” You said, rolling your eyes at his weak attempt at a joke. “Look, best case scenerio is that he’ll come down for breakfast, he’ll apologize and everything will be okay. Worst case scenario is that he won’t. Why do you want to make an absolute worst ever scenerio by trying to make him jealous?”
“Jealous always works, haven’t you noticed? Plus this will totally help me score a date with that blonde Ravenclaw. Hogsmeade is coming up,” He sang, grabbing the maple syrup to drench his food. “We’ll be doing each other a favor!”
“Sirius...” You said, shaking your head.
“I do love the way that you say my name,” Sirius said, blowing kisses at me. The thought of kissing him, and knowing where those lips had been, made me grimace. But that soon abated when scruffy haired Remus walked past him, bumping into him, and continued down to the end of the table to eat with some third years. Sirius had gotten a head start on the plan before you even realized that Remus was in the room.
You watched him as he sat down and only took a piece of toast for his breakfast. You frowned, getting to your feet so you could tell him to eat more, but Sirius lightly put his hand over yours. “Just let him be for a little while, it was rough last night.”
“You’re one to talk about letting things be,” You said, but lowered yourself back down to continue your breakfast. That didn’t stop you from shooting looks back to Remus though. He looked so lonely down there. Peter eventually joined him, while James bothered Lily near you. He seemed to be trying his best not to look back at you. If he was going to be stubborn, there was nothing really that you could do, except for wait it out.
And that’s what you would do. You’d wait for Remus until the end of the world if you had to.
--
You finally gave into Sirius’s plan, but only because it meant that you wouldn’t have to walk alone to class or study by yourself in the common room. He kept you company, and was a laugh most of the time. He’d tell you about some of the pranks that you had missed out on the group doing, paying careful attention to Remus’s part in them. It had already been two weeks since the full moon, and he still had not spoken to you. You got to the point of trying to send him a letter through your own but Sirius stopped you from doing that.
“Don’t appear too clingy, it’ll blow the plan,” He said, grabbing the parchment from you when he caught the name written on the top.
“I just want to make sure that he’s okay...” You admitted.
“He’s fine,” Sirius said, rolling the parchment up between his fingers. “My brilliant plan is definitely working, though. You should have seen the way that he glared at me after I hugged you goodnight last night.”
“Yeah, why did you do that? It’s not as if the Ravenclaw girl was around to see it.”
“I like to throw myself into the role. Call me a method actor,” He ran his fingers through his hair, flipping it back behind his shoulders. “Plus I like the practice. This girl might actually make me settle down, if I can just get her to notice me.”
“That’s big for you, congratulations.” You said, more than a little surprised. Sirius Black, being serious? Almost unheard of. “But you know, just asking her out might be better than all of this-”
“I already asked you out, I don’t need anyone else,” Sirius said, his whole demeanor changing. He took hold of your hands, running his thumb over the back of them. He didn’t have to tell you that Remus was in the room for you to know that Remus was in the room. “Besides, who could focus on anyone else when there’s you?”
“That’s enough,” Remus’s voice came out in a sharp tone from behind you. You turned your head around, and saw that you were finally able to catch his eye. But instead of the warm, honey look behind them that you were used to, he looked angry. Downright pissed off, actually. “Sirius, what the hell? You could have any girl you wanted, why y/n?”
“I’m sitting right here,” You said, starting to stand up, but once again, Sirius had a good grip on your hands, pulling you back down.
“Calm down, pumpkin,” Sirius said, eyeing his friend. “It’s not my fault you gave her up, mate. She became fair game the minute you broke up with her for whatever stupid reason-”
“You’re a bastard,” Remus said, shaking his head, glare evident. “You’re a bloody bastard, Black, and I regret that I ever thought you were my friend.”
“Remus...” You said, breaking out of Sirius’s grip as the dark haired boy sat dumbstruck. “It’s really not what you think-”
“Save it,” Remus said, the anger in his voice turning to hurt as he addressed you. “Looks enough like you moved on.”
“I didn’t - let me explain, let me talk to you...” You pleaded. This was getting the attention of the others around the common room, and both you and Remus paused as you noticed the stares. “Please.” You said, one more time.
“Fine,” Remus said, taking your hand and pulled you up towards the boy’s dormitory. James was laying out on his bed, passed out, a book about Quidditch resting on his chest. Remus pulled the curtains over him so that he couldn’t see, then sat on the edge of his bed, watching me. “Why did it have to be Sirius?”
Tumblr media
“Wow, he must be a better actor than I thought he was, if he had you fooled,” You said, crossing your arms. “Sirius, seriously?”
That usually got the guys to chuckle, but there was nothing this time. Remus’s eyes still looked at you coldly. You sighed. “He’s trying to play you and some Ravenclaw girl into being jealous. I was against the idea, by the way. But then Peter took your side, James was obsessed with Lily and I had no one else to hang out with so ... I sort of went with it. But I didn’t like it. It got all weird when he was start playing with my hair or trying to hold my hand. It never felt right. Not like it did when you did it. Now can we just put an end to this ridiculous mess, and be together again?”
Remus stood up, and paced in front of you. His usually sweet face was contorted into something angry. As confused as you were, and as much as you were wanting to be over, it was pretty hot. He came in close, his warm breath on your face, and took your chin between his calloused fingers.
“All of that - was a ploy - to make me jealous? Is that really what you’re going with?”
“It’s the truth,” You said, unable to look away from his eyes. “There’s absolutely nothing between Sirius and I. I swear.”
He gave a little grunt, and you couldn’t tell whether that meant he believed you or not. After a long moment’s silence, still gazing into one another’s eyes, he finally spoke. “Good, because seeing you with him...” This time a growl came from between his lips.
“Does that mean his plan worked?” You questioned.
“That smart bastard,” Remus muttered. “He knows that you’re my weakness. Seeing you with anyone else makes me a little crazy.”
Rather than feel angry, you felt a bit happy. Relieved. He still cared about you. He still had your chin between his fingers, and he pulled your face in towards his to meet him in a kiss. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling yourself in even closer. Chest to chest. He surprised you even further by letting go of your face, just to go for your  legs, pulling them up so that they were wrapped around his waist.
Sweet Remus Lupin. You knew that he had something of a dark side, becoming a wolf whenever the moon was full, but he was in between cycles right now. This was all him and yet - there was something animalistic about it. Sexy about it, even.
He took a few steps backwards, turning you so that you would fall onto his bed while he was on top of you. With barely a wave, the curtains closed around the two of you, granting you privacy from the sleeping Potter in the next bed. “I thought I was going to go out of my mind,” He admitted, his lips detaching from yours for just a moment. “You’re mine, y/n, and seeing Sirius’s hands on you. Thinking about what you might have been up to...”
“Absolutely nothing, my love,” you said, keeping your legs wrapped around him so that he couldn’t get away from you again. “I’ve always been yours.”
He pressed possessive kisses all up and down your neck, down to your collar bone and then back up. Right at your jawline, he sucked, kissed and nibbled harshly, leaving marks. You didn’t mind at all, but rather you moaned beneath each and every touch of him. Two weeks had been much too long without him. And he clearly felt the same way about you. Hands were running over your ribs, over your chest. He was repeating your name, his arousal felt between your own legs.
The amazing moment of your reunion was interrupted by something bumping against the curtain, and falling down upon the floor.
“Great, you’re back together,” James’s sleepy voice came through. “But do you mind keepin’ it down? Trying to sleep over here, bloody hell.”
“Sorry James,” You giggled.
“I’m not,” Remus grinned.
“Gonna go sleep in the common room then,” James mumbled, and he disappeared out of the room and down the stairs.
The reunion commenced, and you didn’t mind this new jealous side of Remus that sometimes came out. Though afterwards, as he curled up in your arms, you were the one who comforted him that there was no one else out there in the world for you. That he was your one. And that no matter how many scars he had, or where they were, he had the most perfect skin in the world, because it was his.
Love was a funny thing. When you’re in love with someone, you tend to focus on the good of the person, and completely ignore all of their flaws. Whether you convince yourself that you’re different and you don’t do that, it will be true for everyone. Everything about the person you love is distorted through rose coloured glasses.
I always thought of Remus Lupin as a perfect angel. From the first time our eyes met on the train in first year, I knew I would grow to care for him deeply. Even later on, when we became the closest of friends, as well as with James, Sirius, and Peter, I knew I would care for him forever.
It was me who first noticed something strange with Remus the first year, only raising slight concerns when he would disappear for a few days and come back, cuts on his face and arms littered with bruises. Pointing this out to him only made him shy away, so I took my concerns and thoughts over to the other boys.
Second year was when we finally confronted Remus about what was going on. Ashamed of himself, he explained of his lycanthropy, expecting us to leave him, but of course, we did not. By now, my heart had begun to flutter whenever I caught Remus’ gaze from across the classroom or whenever our hands grazed each other’s when passing books between us. I knew I liked Remus in a different way to the other boys.
We never left Remus’ side when we found out he was a werewolf. He expected us to think of him as a monster, but I only saw another thing to hush about him in private. His bravery, his courage. his persistence. He seemed perfect to me, not bothering to suspect that maybe lycanthropy was a flaw.
Perfection. As we grew older, I only saw Remus as perfect. Perfect cedar hair that swept to the side, fluffing at the top of his head. Warm, inviting eyes that perfectly swirled with wonder and mystery. Scars across his face, seemingly endearing. It came natural to me in third year when I realised that I had a crush on the wolf boy, confusing me as to why I hadn’t realised earlier.
In fourth year, my love for Remus only grew stronger and in fifth year, the other marauders and I made a pact to become animagi to help Remus during his full moons, much to his disputes.
When it was time to show Remus our animagus forms, we ushered him into the Room of Requirement one quiet night, a few days before the full moon. It was a risky idea as Remus often became more and more anxious as the full moon came closer but we thought the revelation would calm him down.
“I don’t understand what we’re doing here.” Remus muttered, playing with the fingers in his hands anxiously. I stood by his side, wrapping my arm around him comfortingly, as Sirius started explaining what was going on.
“I know that you always feel alone and scared during the full moons so we wanted to find a way to help you.” Sirius said, gesturing to the group around us. When Remus looked my way, I gave him a small smile, feeling a blush rise on my cheeks, as Sirius continued. “So, we made it our mission to become animagi.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Remus looked absolutely terrified, getting all flustered as he pulled away from us, backing away against a wall. “That’s dangerous, that’s illegal. I can’t have you guys in trouble because of me.”
“It’s okay Remus.” James said, trying to calm down the anxious werewolf, turning into a majestic stag to show him.
“We’re going to be with you on your full moons and help you.” Peter added, before changing into a small rat, squirming around to Remus’ feet.
“It’s been researched that werewolves won’t try to attack animals as much as people.” Sirius offered, turning himself into a dog, whimpering as he brushed up against the stag next to him.
Remus strolled over to me, concern welling up in his pleading eyes. “Not you too, please don’t say you’re an animagus too.”
Slightly offended, I turned myself into a delicate hummingbird and gently rested on Remus’ shoulder. He looked almost like he was about to cry. In a hushed voice, he whispered so only I could hear: “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Right then, James turned back into his person form and said, “please just let us help you. Let us be there for you, as your friend.”
“Plus,” I mentioned, becoming a person again too, “I’m working towards becoming a healer, so I can help patch you up as well afterwards.” I sent Remus a small smile.
So, it was decided. Each full moon after that, we went with Remus through his transformation, and every full moon, I fell deeper and deeper in love with him.
It was probably all the time we spent together after the full moon, only the two of us left in the shrieking shack, when the rest of the boys went to fetch Madame Pomfrey. The quiet chats we would share for the twenty minutes we had to ourselves, talking about nothing and everything, as the near exhausted Remus laid half awake, muttering a string of thank you’s under his breath.
One particular night, Remus didn't have that bad of a transformation, leaving him less bruised and battered than usual, only a few cuts across his torso and face. Insisting he didn’t need Madame Pomfrey, he trusted me in fixing him up all by myself.
“Thank you.” Remus breathed out after a few minutes of silence since the boys had left. I blushed, nothing unusual, hiding my scarlet didn’t cheeks with a dirty rag I had wiped the dirt off of him with.
“What do I always say, Rem?” I asked, carefully stroking the damp cloth across his chest, cleaning up the dried blood. “You don’t have to thank me for helping you.”
“But I want to.” Remus started, taking my hand in his, raising it up close to his face to gently kiss my knuckles. “You don’t have to be here right now. You shouldn’t have to be here right now. You look too tired to be looking after me all the time. Go to bed.”
“No. I’m here for you, because I love you and you’re my friend.” It just slipped past my lips, those three words. On the outside, it looked like just another thing I said, going back to working at the cuts across his chest. Inside, my heart was working overtime, beating faster than usual. I couldn’t believe I had just said that.
Eyes flickering upwards towards Remus, I took in the fact that he had dozed off, probably not even hearing the confession that had fallen without me trying, and I was okay with that. He looked perfect, quietly sleeping there, eyes shut, so I worked silently, patching up his cuts, placing a single kiss on his hairline as he slept.
***
The next day tradition was always visiting Remus in the hospital wing as Madame Pomfrey always insists he stays there for an extra day. After classes, the rest of the marauders and I piled into the wing to tell Remus about their days.
Today, I stayed quiet, still shocked about what I had confessed the night earlier. As the boys kept Remus occupied, I anxiously waited for when he would eventually ask to talk to me.
As the boys dispersed from the hospital wing, I felt a shaking hand grab mine, pulling me to stay. My heart was thumping out of my chest but I stayed put, sitting on the edge of Remus’ bed, looking into his perfect eyes.
“You’ve been awfully quiet.” Remus muttered, playing with my own fingers mindlessly. “Is something on your mind?”
I needed to tell him. It was the perfect time to tell him about how I felt but I couldn’t find the right words to say. Everything felt like a jumble in my head. Nothing was coming out of my throat and my brain was blank.
“I’ll tell you what,” Remus said, squeezing my hand reassuringly, “once I get out of here, we can go raid the kitchens together, like we used to, you know? And after that, we can go sit by the black lake and read one of your muggle books you always read.”
“You’re perfect, you know that, right?” I whispered under my breath, getting a soft chuckle out of Remus.
“I’m far from perfect, sweetheart.”
But I didn’t believe him. He always proved himself wrong in different aspects. Holding up to his promises, he came with me to the kitchens, telling the elves to fetch an abundance of chocolate, a love we shared between us.
Walking down to the black lake together, it was solemn but peaceful. Sounds of animals chirping and leaves rustling filled the air, a light breeze brushing past us as we walked down the path. Once we got to our favourite spot, we sat down, with Remus pulling out an old copy of Alice in Wonderland to read.
As he read aloud, I couldn’t concentrate on what he was saying. All I knew was that it was finally time to tell him how I felt about him. It was time to tell him that I was in love with him.
“I need to tell you something.” I abruptly said, interrupting Remus’ reading of the book. He looked up at me, humming, egging me to go on.
“You’re perfect.” I reinstated, much like I said before in the hospital wing, but instead of getting a glimpse of laughter like before, I was met by Remus’ confused eyes.
“Remus,” I sucked in a breath of air, “I’m in love with you.”
Silence. A pause. At that moment, I knew I had blown it. He stared at me, not saying a word, until he murdered something, so quietly I almost didn’t hear.
“No, here’s the thing: you’re in love with a person you’ve created in your head, that you are trying to, but cannot fix. The only thing you can fix is yourself.”
My heart stopped.
“You don’t want to love me, [Y/N], I’m a monster.”
Acting on instinct, I cupped his cheek with my hand, placing a soft kiss on his temple, that was immediately washed away by a tear that had rolled down my own cheek.
“You’re not a monster.” My voice was shaky. “And I do love you. There’s nothing you can do about it.”
And he held me closer, placing a kiss on my lips. Out of shock, I didn’t know what to do, but then, I kissed back, pulling my arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. When we pulled away, I stared into his perfect eyes.
Perfect.
“I love you too, [Y/N].
