“It’s a match made in heaven, Sirius, I swear to God,” James had been saying for the last two hours.

“That’s what you say every time,” Sirius sighed. “And they never call you back.”

“He’s got a point, Prongs,” Peter said sheepishly.

“No, you weren’t there! He was so into me!” James swore. 

The other three shared disbelieving books, but pushed no further. They’d had this conversation many times, James always insisting that his most recent date was the love of his life, and then never hearing from them again. This back and forth was routine, and Sirius was just tired of seeing his best friend get hurt. He knew that it wasn’t that James was unlikable in any way. He was just a little…overeager. James was an all-or-nothing type of guy, and people tended to be scared off by the way he started planning their futures on the first date.

But against all odds, James’s phone started ringing. Not waiting even a single ring before picking it up, James answered with a huge grin. “Baby?” Remus, Peter, and Sirius all cringed at the pet name. There was a voice on the other end that sounded all too familiar to Sirius.

“Jamie?” The voice called. “You said to call you as soon as I could. Is this a bad time?”

“No, perfect, actually,” James answered, smirking pointedly at his friends.

“Regulus?!” Sirius demanded. James’s eyebrows furrowed, not reacting in time when Sirius grabbed his phone. “What the fuck?”

“Uh, I’ve got to go,” Regulus muttered, hanging up and leaving James to fend for himself.

“I didn’t know!” James screamed as Sirius hit him.

“You just thought it was a coincidence that he was named Regulus?!” Sirius screamed back.

Remus and Peter shared fits of laughter as Sirius continued to torment James for the rest of the evening. His anger was only interrupted every so often, when James would receive a text from Regulus and his face would light up. Sirius supposed that if it made both his brother and his best friend happy, he couldn’t be all that mad.

y'all. someone pls give me a good reason why you think sirius would be mad if james and regulus fucked. I get that if they lied and snuck around, he'd be upset, but there's literally no reason to be mad about them being in a relationship. if my best friend got with my sister I'd be very surprised but I wouldn't really be mad about it? like it's not actually a big deal? I have no clue why people writing all these jegulus fics think that sirius and james would have major issues with each other about it. like no they wouldn't??? do you have siblings??? sirius would not be mad, he'd be happy that his little brother is with someone good and trustworthy that sirius approves of. besides, even if we're talking canon, and reg is a death eater, sirius still trusts james and would hear him out, and give regulus a second chance. I just dont get it

i have to say i really don't understand why Sirius would get angry when finding out about James and Regulus relationship

Sure he might feel betrayed if Regulus is still at their parents' house and they are fighting over it

But if they are in each other lives and in relatively good terms it doesn't make any sense

I mean he could get a bit angry if they are keeping the secret for too long, but we all know James Potter is incapable of keeping anything from Sirius for a long time

But i don't think Sirius would ever be angry at them simply bc they are together or more specifically bc they have sex. Sirius is not some stupid controlling toxic brother. He is smart, and fair, and kind. Sure he has some family issues. Sure he's protective of Regulus bc of said issues. Sure he has some unhealthy codependancy thing with James. Sure he might get scared to lose either of them, and he might take a while to get used to it. But ultimately he would understand and he would be happy for them. And he wouldn't be angry. Confused at worst. Maybe jokingly angry. Surely a tad dramatic. But not really angry.

sirius for sure found out about jegulus when people started to say reggie is the better looking brother. you see, up until his relationship with james, regulus was always gloomy and emo looking, but after they started dating, he got the spark in his eyes, and looked happy, which made him look gracefully beautiful. and of course siri couldn't let that slide, so he started to investigate why reggie looks better now (he was also delighted that reggie is happy now, and wanted to know what/who to thank for that), and that's how he noticed the jegulus relationship

Prompt 27 - Diplomacy

He couldn’t believe Regulus was just going along with it. The boy’s hands were in his hair, nails scraping against his scalp. He’d never felt anything like it. James needed him to be closer, needed to feel him. So, without warning, James put his hands under his skinny thighs, and lifted him into the air, using the wall to take some of the pressure off his arms, he held Regulus. 

Regulus let out a small gasp as his feet left the floor. James had fully expected to be punched, but Regulus reacted positively. He wrapped his legs around James’s waist and deepened their kiss with his newfound height. 

James felt his whole body melting. He wanted to stay in this moment forever. Nothing mattered, only the boy in front of him. 

They broke apart, panting, hearts racing, gulping down air into their oxygen-starved lungs.

“Hi,” James smiled at him, tilting his head, so he could look into those sparking eyes. 

“Hi,” Regulus murmured back, the hint of a smile playing at the corner of his mouth. James let his head thump forward into Regulus's chest and Regulus tangled his fingers still further into the short unruly curls. He angled his head and pressed open-mouthed kisses into Regulus’s neck.   

“What the bloody hell are you doing?” They froze as Sirius’s voice broke the silence of their corridor. “Get your hands off my brother!” James and Regulus looked at each other this was not going to go well. James tried to convince himself that all they needed was a little diplomacy, but with Sirius’s hot temper and Regulus’s sharp tongue, it would be a challenge to keep them quiet enough not to get caught out of bounds after curfew. 

Slowly, he lowered Regulus to the floor, and together they turned and raised their hands to Sirius.

“Why are you raising your hands?” He asked Regulus, confused. 

“I wasn’t sure which brother he was referring to, so I thought I’d better be safe.” He shrugged. James let out an almighty snort and had to bury his face in his arm to quell the laughter.

“Put your hands down you idiots.” Sirius rolled his eyes at the pair. “I came looking for you when I noticed you weren’t in bed. This,” He waved his hands at them. “Was not what I expected to find.” He looked wild like he was about to explode at any provocation. 

“It’s none of your business what we do, Sirius.” Regulus drawled. “I don’t know why you think you can make a fuss.” All mirth left James as he quickly started damage control to hopefully stop Sirius from seeing red. 

“Sirius go back up to the dorm, I’ll meet you there,” He cut Sirius off before he could complain. “I’m going to take Reg back to the Slytherin Common room first.” 

“I don’t need an escort, Potter.” Regulus griped. But James ignored him and began to pull out the invisibility cloak. Sirius stormed forward, shoved his hand into James’s pocket and stole the Marauder’s Map. 

“Best hurry, Prongs. I’ll be watching.” And with that, Sirius turned on his heel and disappeared into darkness. 

James sighed and covered himself and Regulus with the cloak. 

“You don’t need to do this, I am quite capable of getting back on my own.” Regulus clearly wasn’t happy. James grinned at him and, making sure Sirius was well and truly gone, pushed Regulus back against the wall and kissed him again. All the fight went out of the other boy. 

“We’ve got a couple of minutes before we need to move. Sirius will think we’re bickering still.” James said, pulling away for a moment before pressing his lips against Regulus’s again. 

Regulus turned his head slightly, breaking the kiss.

“What does this mean?” Regulus asked, his eyes overly bright as though he was nervous. James shrugged.

“I don’t know, but I like it so far.” He grinned, wriggling his eyebrows. Regulus rolled his eyes in a strange imitation of his brother. He pushed James away from the wall, but grabbed his hand and started pulling him down the corridor towards the dungeons.  

“What was that bit of parchment?” Regulus asked as they walked.

“Oh,” James paused, he didn’t know if he could trust Regulus with that information. “Just a useful tool for Mischief makers.” He gave Regulus a final kiss before watching him enter the Slytherin’s secret entrance and headed back to Gryffindor Tower where his best friend waited for him. Maybe he’d go sleep in moaning Myrtle's bathroom, he’d probably get more rest.

"Uhg es que este dolor de cabeza está insoportable, I can't believe I left without my glasses, why am I like this?" Sirius could hear James before he saw him, he was lying lazily against a tree near the quiddicht pitch waiting for Remus to finish his study session with Lily and Regulus, but he inmediately perked up when he heard his best friend's voice.

He looked really stressed out, with one hand on his hair and another one just raised in front of him (probably to stop himself from running into anything, the idiot). He was slowly making his way to the Pitch benches the moment Sirius decided to take pity on the poor man and go to help him.

As he was silently making his way to James, James head perked up again and he saw him. Sirius could clearly see him squinting his eyes trying to identify who Sirius was, but just a moments later he saw James give him one of the warmest smiles he has ever seen.

"My love! You are here!" Whatever precaution James was having was thrown out of the window as James quickly made his way towards Sirius, who was at that moment extremely flabbergasted.

What the fuck?!?! Sirius mind was a mess, and he was so confused he was not able to form a word.

When James stood in front of him, he softly cupped Sirius cheeks with both of his hands and smiled "I thought you were in the library with Remus and Lily, did you finished early Mi Amor?" James was talking so lovingly that Sirius brain malfunctioned for a second, because since when Prongs had a partner??? Why did he not tell Sirius???

"Oh come here" James said, before he squished his cheeks and gave him a peck in the lips and in his forehead "Que chico más bello, so beautiful"

The peck was all Sirius needed to get out of his stupor, pushing James with so much force he almost fell back on his ass "WHAT THE FUCK PRONGS?"

When James registered Sirius voice, he instantly went pale, spluttering the sentence that would change everything "You're not Regulus"

"Of course I'm not my fucking brother, why the fuck did you do tha-" Sirius stopped, and he could vow that white noise started filling his ears

"Were the kisses and the sweet words meant for my brother, Potter?"

"Sirius, I need you to relax" Jame started, slowly making distance between him and Sirius, not that that could deter Sirius when he is fixated.

"Answer my fucking question James"

"....yes, yes they were"

"Ok" Sirius breathed out, gaze lost for a bit until he suddenly gained conscience again "I have to kill you now"

"Yeah, I know" James breathed out, expression solemn "Can I at least fetch my glasses before you do?"

"You have 15 seconds before I start hunting you down, you brotherfucker"

"Thats enough" and after that, he ran.

Sirius will analyze this moment and information later on, and he could fine it within himself to be happy for the couple after a bit, but right now? James will suffer for a bit.

He also need to go find Regulus after this, that little shit owes him all the details about how the fuck that relationship even happened.
