People need to relearn tumblr etiquette so badly. You can’t reblog a gifset/edit/fic with complaints in the tags about how you didn’t like x, y, z about that media and then expect OP not to be mad.

Some of us have been in this site for years even though we get less and less notes everyday and you know why? Because we’re passionate about the stuff we’re creating fanart for and we want other people who are also into that stuff to have content to reblog.

I feel like non-creators don’t understand how discouraging it is to see that somebody has reblogged your art and it’s just full of negativity. You people need to learn how not to be weirdos and don’t be surprised when creators block your ass for being annoying in their creations.

And while we’re at it, y’all need to learn how to interact with media. If you hate something so much that you need to express your feelings towards it make! your! own! post! Us creators don’t care about your opinions and most importantly we don’t want to hear your opinions. If you feel the need to shit talk in strangers’ posts about how much you hate a piece of media maybe you need to take a step back.

We are very different people. And I really don’t get it.

Why do you want a built in anonymised function for giving negative feedback? Are we trying to make fandom like Reddit now? Because that’s a space that really promotes creativity.

Can you imagine how depressing watching your kudos count go down would be?

They are ridiculous and I lowkey resent people who think this is a good idea.

You know what I would LOVE as a new feature on ao3? A reread counter/extra kudos option. If I’ve come back to a fic after 6 months I should be able to give it another kudos or a separate thing to show that this fic has lingered with me in a way that I constantly come back to it. You’ve already left kudos here is a constant pop up for me and I would like to be able to give more positive affirmation rather than less please.

When you want to leave a comment

DON'T say stuff like 'I like the original better', 'this wouldn't happen' etc, except if the creator asked for your input. Otherwise just keep your thoughts to yourself.

DON'T try to promote yourself. This isn't about you, comments like 'wow, nice artwork, check out my stuff too' is a big no-no. Nobody gives a fuck about you, especially if you do that. Post your stuff and leave others. Even if you actually like their work, saying something like that makes you seem insincere.

DON'T say stuff like 'I'm retracting my like' (I've had this one happen before). We don't care. Nobody forced you to like the post in the first place.

DON'T be a smartass. 'Actually in canon bla bla bla', I didn't ask. Let me have my random headcanon in peace.

'This is nice but I ship xyz' or 'this is good but I like X character better' again, we don't care. This post wasn't made for your satisfaction, don't expect to like everything you see online.

Nice comments are always appreciated. It's ok to ask for clarification for something or even state your opinion. But remember, these posts aren't made for specifically you. Sometimes your opinion is completely irrelevant. Always remember you are dealing with real human beings.

Resurrection AU: Joronia

Upon coming back from the dead, Joronia is currently staying with Taranza, the only person in Dream Land she knows. She is sleeping on his couch in his small home in Dream Land.

She remembers everything she felt and did while corrupted, which she feels terrible about. She's taking the initiative to find everyone she's personally wronged and make it up to them however she's able, which will be very difficult and embarrassing for her.

Joronia is energetic and driven, but a bit haughty. She's struggling to adjust to the life of a relative commoner, having been raised in a palace with every need of hers met. Joronia's very outgoing, but she struggles at connecting with other people.

Her biggest worry is about her friendship with Taranza, and whether it can be repaired after everything she's done.
