singers: okay so this is tough because face structure wise, fawn has the closest likeness, and she also has his eye colour. BUT, even tho evan has a hybrid of his mom and his dads face structure, because he’s a guy, the male features of his father translate better. so it’s hard. i’d still say fawn tho because she looks like the female version of him jas: raheer is known for looking exactly like morreial bro it’s acc insane. he’s got the dark wavy hair, the ivory tanned skin, the grey eyes— the entire shbang. only thing he’s probably missing are the blue lips and the fullness of morreial’s lips. cxc: cara and caramel are orphans who never met their biological parents. they’re also not blood related, so who knows?

2. who looks more like their mom

singers: elenfa’s eyes, nose, and face shape are all her mother’s even if the colour palette of her features are from her father. she also carries herself like her mother, so her jas: riyzela has cara’s nose and heart shaped face, but everything else is very morreial coded. still, her. cxc: n/a

3. who eats the most?

singers: fawn. she canonically ate an entire dining table of meat solo (she was extremely hungry and happy once she finished). she also proceeded to eat evan’s birthday feast almost entirely solo jas: raheer, simply because he’s taller and brawnier than riyzela is. more muscle mass and his vigorous activity give him a mighty appetite. plus, being fawn’s best friend cxc: caramel. she quite literally told alan that 2 dozen apple-vines (a sweet savoury THICK dessert fruit delicacy) was a snack. and when he says that’s a lot of food, she tells him anything less than that is a bird’s appetite

4. who has been in the weirdest situations?

singers: evan. i don’t even need to explain this one but i will anyways. mans found himself in situations where he accidentally blew up a mountain, fell into a volcano, got cannibalized by a tree, had a lightning strike to the chest, got stuck in a portal prison in another realm… i could go on jas: raheer but only because fawn is his best friend, and fawn likes getting into shenanigans. before evan was born, she was the notorious singer menace cxc: cara. i know that’s a surprising answer, but cara just does it for the vibes. she poses as a man and goes to compete in jousts; she purposefully drowned herself underwater as a baby to follow a cool snake; she learned parkour so she could hunt birds… yeah, definitely her.

5. who sleeps the most?

singers: fawn. she enjoys her beauty sleep and being relaxed, and she’s the only singer sibling to not be chronically stressed and burdened with responsibility jas: riyzela. raheer is so diligent and militant for sleeping in. riyzela doesn’t gaf cxc: caramel. she literally schedules naps into her daily routine.

6. most stable romantic life?

singers: elenfa funnily enough, since she's not allowed to date due to the strictness of her upbringing. so when she finally does get into a relationship, it's a proper, stable one. jas: raheer because he's a good boyfriend and knows when to end the relationship on good terms. He ends up in a long-term relationship too that starts off on an interesting basis, but is healthy throughout since they were friend first cxc: cara and morreial literally get cuffed one-month into meeting each other and end up being the healthiest, most stable couple ToV has ever seen. not to say caramel doesn't end up in a healthy relationship and married to the person she gets with; but cara doesn't have the.... toxic bits that caramel and her partner have (OOF)

7. worst habit of each?

singers: elenfa: shutting people out fawn: diobedience and shirking responsibility evan: refusing to accept help from others \\ bottling up and exploding w his emotions \\ using people as his blank slates

jas: raheer: push over + lack of boundaries riyzela: player + committment issues

cxc: caramel: overcontrolling and lack of consideration for others \\ stealing for fun cara: losing track of time + getting distracted \\ manipulating people

8. who’s the most dramatic?

singers: evan (fawn is close second tho). this kid deadass flung himself into a volcano as a coping mechanism, and when he realized the entire civilization he moved to didn't have exciting fashion sense, proceeded to runway style dress up every day until they picked up their slack and became the most fashionable region in soilaila.

jas: they’re both apathetic as hell.

cxc: caramel. i don't need to explain this, i think. she likes extra. she breathes extra. which means, she breathes theatrics. certified drama queen

9. who had the weird phase?

singers: ooo i feel like evan and fawn tie for this category. before evan was born, fawn was the certified menace in the singer palace. she quite literally would haunt the halls and scary the shits out of everyone until she befriended raheer. evan, on the other hand, would climb up heights and launch himself of the palace top floor, so i feel like they both match up in that sense.

jas: maybe riyzela? to be honest, they're both pretty normal.

cxc: cara because it’s this girl's hobby to travel the world and unearth deep lore of every civilization

10. best cook in the family?

singers: ironically... evan. he hates food but is great at cooking. make it make sense (its because he's the only one who learned how to be self-competent)

jas: raheer because him and his dad used to cook together as a father-son bonding moment

cxc: LMAOOO

11. best memory together?

singers: i feel like they'd all have the same one, to be honest: the day they all finally just... sat in each other's rooms and stayed up late, talking. they all grew up isolated and separated from each other, so being able to just sit on the floors of elenfa's room while looking through old memory books and sharing stories, laughing-- they had never done that before.

jas: i think raheer’s favourite memory of them would be in their childhood, when riyzela would read stories to him and he’d have his head in her lap, painting sunflowers on her arm riyzela’s of them would be the day he asked her to give him his wedding tattoos and present him at the altar

cxc: caramel adores their heists together, because it was the times where she felt she and cara bonded the most. caramel doing her magic and cara yapping away to keep her company. cara’s favourite memory, on the other hand, would be the day caramel asked for her name, took her hand, and said she’d take care of her forever

12. worst memory together?

singers: oof. without delving into spoilers, evan’s worst memory of elenfa is probably the day he confessed a deeply traumatic event that occurred to him when he was 6 years old, and her response was to tell him she was disappointed in him, then tattles to their parents. that level of betrayal never left him, even decades later. his worst memory of fawn would be when she looked him in the eye and said he was no brother of hers, at least not one she cared about anymore. elenfa’s worst memory of evan— again, while avoiding spoilers— would probably be the day he woke up from his broken arm injury thing and she saw his scars for the first time. mainly because she felt like such a failure of an older sister in that moment. and her worst memory of fawn is when she told elenfa she was selfish and horrible and everything she resented. youch. fawn’s worst memory of evan is probably after the soc injury he sustains, when she sits outside his door and hears him breakdown in guttural sobs for the first time. she’s never heard him cry like that before, but hearing it then made her realize how many times he cried like that in private because of how much she ignored him, so that’s def a yikes. THAT or a major spoiler event, so i can’t say that one. her worst memory of elenfa is probably the day she saw elenfa arm-in-arm with riyzela, promenading their special spot after elenfa basically cut her sister off and neglected her for the rest of their childhoods.

what do you mean the singer children have a conflicted dynamic with each other? idk what you’re talking about it… 🫣

jas: raheer’s worst memory of riyzela is probably when he watched her spiral into her alcoholism. not a fun time for anyone, but esp not her baby brother who idolized her. riyzela’s worst memory of raheer is seeing him slowly wither away during his coma, helpless and incapable of doing anything but watch him die.

cxc: caramel’s worst memory of cara is honestly probably the day she told her she didn’t want to steal anymore ORRRR the day she begged her for help and cara didn’t come because she was out with morreial cara’s worst memory of caramel is probably seeing the faded look in her eyes after she loses her mind

13. dream trip together?

singers: evan’s dream siblings trip is one they actually end up going on— to take a family trip around the entire Non-Mage World and go exploring properly. the last time they tried… events transpired. fawn’s dream trip would specifically be the mountains of soilaila, or the eastern continents. elenfa’s would be ividor or exploring the deserts together and actually crossing through the sand plains.

jas: raheer would want to go skiing with riyzela. race her to the bottom since they’re both water-dancers. riyzela would probably want to go somewhere beachy where she could collect pearls and go deep sea diving. raheer would actually be able to keep up too, hence the sibling trip.

cxc: caramel would want to go to the moon. deadass. she’d try to invent some magic form to achieve it. cara would just want to go to a meadow of flowers to collect bouquets and stargaze all night.

14. WYR: not be able to shower or change clothes?

singers: evan— not shower. he had faer had a convo about this once and she was horrified by his answer (he was discussing how he doesn’t pee) fawn— not change clothes. she plays in dirt all day so she kinda needs it elenfa— not change clothes. she’d be upset about it, but this girl lives in fire and would always be covered by soot and ash if she didn’t shower (so would evan, but he’s willing to make those sacrifices for fashion)

jas: riyzela— not shower. she’d just go for swims. fashion means the world to her. raheer— not change clothes. he’s a soldier. he basically wears uniform everyday anyways.

cxc: caramel— not change clothes because she already doesn’t lol. not unless you offer her something pretty. cara— not change clothes. she also likes wearing the same thing everyday.

15. who’s older?

singers: the order of siblings from eldest to youngest is: elenfa, fawn, evan.

jas: riyzela is older.

cxc: caramel refuses to admit it, but cara is older.

16. describe others in 3 words

singers: evan would describe fawn as: free-spirited, bubbly, and diplomatic. he’d describe elenfa as perfect, cold, and elegant. fawn would describe evan as reactive, distant, but charming. she’d describe elenfa as admirable, intelligent, but hollow. elenfa would describe evan as unruly, chaotic; but powerful. and she’d describe fawn as full of life, charismatic, and everything she wishes she was.

jas: riyzela would describe raheer as shy, kindhearted, and loyal. raheer would describe riyzela as cunning, conniving, and disinterested.

cxc: caramel would describe cara as talkative, enthusiastic, and gentle. cara would describe caramel as secretly tender hearted, fiercely protective, and unmatched in terms of power.

17. role model?

singers: evan’s role model is ret ja pietro candreva and noctem. fawn’s role model was elenfa. then, she gave up on the idea of role models all together and started to aspire to be the woman in the mirror. elenfa’s role model is caramel, alan, evan, and fawn. she wishes she was all of them, for all the qualities she loves about them. but also, secretly, her role model is qatya and amara.

jas: riyzela’s role model is cara and amara. raheer’s role model is ret ja pietro, morreial, riyzela, and evan.

cxc: caramel doesn’t have a role model. she just wants to be someone who doesn’t disappoint the people she loves (cara). cara’s role model is caramel.

18. who usually has worst ideas

singers: evan. goes without saying. once again, i bring up the “launches himself into the volcano on a regular basis” complex he has

jas: riyzela. raheer tries to stay out of trouble, but tends to get dragged into it, whereas riyzela is a conspiracist.

cxc: caramel. i feel like i don’t need to explain this either, but she likes to break rules outta spite, which births a lot of bad decisions.

19. giant insect on wall— certified bug killer?

singers: fawn would yell at evan for trying to light the entire wall on fire while trying to kill it. elenfa would be the only person focused enough to get the job done.

jas: raheer would probably hide behind riyzela until she killed it for him. but that’s only when they’re younger. if they’re older, you’d find him with his lamp on in the middle of the night, experimenting with the captured bug, testing out different poisons and antidotes on it. riyzela wouldn’t even bother killing it (unless raheer asked her to). she’d notice it, shrug, and look away.

cxc: caramel WOULD do it, but only if she couldn’t goad one of the boys to do it for her.

IDW collection reading update! :^) 📖

Just finished Phase 2 volume 3! This volume included: The MTMTE 2012 Annual + issues 9-13, The RID 2012 Annual + issues 10-11, Signal to Noise and Spotlights: Thundercracker, Bumblebee and Megatron!

My thoughts will be below! ⤵️

MTMTE 2012 Annual:

Started off super wacky with Magnus 😂 Then got really interesting with Crystal City disappearing, The Metrotitan being underneath and the Galactic Council making their appearance! I liked how they tried to recruit Magnus and he said nah and smiled :)

RID 2012 Annual:

Absolutely LOVED the vintage/retro comic pages they did for the story/flashbacks of Nova's group!! Why so evil, but so cool looking?? I'm curious to see what all that with the Metrotitan and Starscream meant! 🤔

MTMTE 9-11:

Absolute banger. Probably one of my favorite stories so far!! I'm sorry but a murder mystery?? on Cybertron? in the past?? with stellar art!?! Sign me up any day.

Also it was great to finally learn more about Senator Shockwave and the rest of the Characters! Like Drift, Chromedome and Whirly! The back and forth with all the banter and the layers of fronts and corruption ahhh *chefs kisses*

Also I thought this ⬆️ was so cute bc it's a fact right out of Prowls characters bio/info sheet/page.

MTMTE 12:

This is the Surprise! Give you a mini heart attack issue lol Bc of my own silliness I was stressed the whole time reading it 😂 but it was really good!! We got to learn a bunch about Rewind. And that him and Chromedome are Conjunx' !! 🥺💞

MTMTE 13:

This was a super fun issue! I'm absolutely loving all this Magnus character time!!

The Holomatter Avatars were pretty funny 😂 Whirl was too adorable and I thought it was really sweet that Magnus chose to look like Verity 🥺 Uncle Magnus misses his kid.

I felt bad for Swerve ;_; also I'm excited to see more from Cyclonus and Tailgate!! This ship is full of liars lol 😂

RID 10-11:

10 was an issue where Orion (previously Optimus) is currently hunting down Jihaxus to get answers for stuff and things. There is quite a bit of time jumping back and forth which always gets me confused 😂 it was interesting tho!

Issues 11 Starscream takes action against his Deceptibros (Just Shockwave, Soundwave and their posse really) and I really look forward to his team up with Prowl, if it goes anywhere from here! Also Arcee killing more people rip Ravage, Frenzy and those other guys 🫡 and a wild Megatron makes a reappearance?!?!

Signal to Noise:

It was a little Lost Light interlude! It was from Rung's perspective. I feel like I haven't seen much from him specifically so it was pretty cool and interesting :> Like everything, I'm curious to see where it goes!

Spotlights:

Thundercrackers was enjoyable! It just reinforced that he was good leaning, or at least not one for senseless violence. I really like him and hope he makes a reappearance! I'm curious what he's up to on earth

Bumblebee's was fine. Him struggling to be the leader and feeling like he has to prove himself, but getting the job done!

Megatron's was a banger. I absolutely love his monologs. What he thinks of his Decepticons and the 'Pep talk' he gave Starscream to get him back to his usual self.

Final random thoughts:

Of all the storylines, MTMTE is still my favorite to read rn. I must admit, Rodimus tho is stressing me out as the leader 😂 I was gonna say my fav characters rn but, there are just too many haha

-you belong to them. You're theirs. That's what they repeat to you over and over. To each "we love you" they add a "you're ours"

-despite of how possessive both of your boyfriends are, they're surprisingly good at sharing you. I mean, you share them as well. Also, not only are you theirs, they also belong to each other and both of them belong to you. It goes all ways.

-Ness gets jealous of other people easily. How else should he react when someone, from his point of view, attempts to steal you from them? It just makes his blood boil.

-Ness will get extremely passive aggressive towards that person. He will smile cutely and act nice. But the words coming out of his mouth? Some can't even be called "passive" aggressive anymore.

-Kaiser doesn't get jealous that easily, but when he does, he will not hesitate to make extremely clear that you only belong to him and Ness. He will talk in a cold and strict voice, to make the other person understand that only because you're in a poly relationship, it doesn't mean you're looking for another person to add.

-a lot of people try to get close to Kaiser. A lot of people try to convince him they're better than you and Ness. And that's when Ness gets just as jealous as when someone attempts to take you away

-although, you try your best to keep him calm. You've seen him biting his lip bloody once, and that was one time too much. Really, the only thing that makes him calm down is being in your arms. Even better if Kaiser joins the hugs/cuddles

-sometimes, Ness is naive and doesn't realize how someone else is flirting with him over text. When Kaiser's eyes cross his phone, we snatches it away from Ness and whoever that person is, they're getting blocked. Immediately.

-then, Kaiser goes on a full rant why he hated that person in the first place and lists all the reasons they suck

-it always makes Ness feel guilty. He knows he's too naive and nice sometimes, he doesn't realize when someone tries to get too close to him. But hey, he notices when someone tries to get too close to you and Kaiser

-just like with Ness, you help Kaiser calm his anger each time. Your embrace always calms his thoughts

-but what about you? Well, you really don't get jealous easily. And when you do, you have your own way of coping with it. You know that even when people try to get too close to one of your boyfriends, the other's possessiveness will handle the situation. And you will be the one to help them calm down afterwards

. She forgave him for stealing her song.

.She literally forgave him for humiliating her on live TV AND agreed to be his songwriter even though they were literally like 14 years old.

. She fricking WROTE most of his songs for him despite the fact that she had a JOB and school and a life! She also went through a lot writing said songs.

. Everyone (especially Austin) was being a massive dick to her for not having a song despite that fact that she had a life of her own and a store to run and whatnot. That got me so mad. Poor girl was literally getting pressured by everyone.

. She encouraged Austin to do good things so that Tilly couldn’t get any bad footage of him.

.She attempted to perform,despite the fact that she had stage fright, so that Tilly would stop posing embarrassing footage of him. Even when he told her she didn’t have to go through with it, she still tried. (He eventually did it for her but its the thought that counts)

.Ally gave him Dougie the dolphin.

. She defended him and told him to hide when everyone thought Austin was the Mall thief. Home girl fully stood up to a whole mob by herself.

. She helped him overcome his fear of umbrellas.

. She forgave him for ‘accidentally’ playing her song on the radio and went through with his plan of Trish pretending to be her.

. She helped him get with Cassidy by writing him a song. (Yh the first one was bad but that’s literally what he told her to write. Heartbeat was a banger tho)

. SHE FRICKING GAVE UP THE CHANCE TO GO TO AN ELITE MUSIC SCHOOL (WITH A FULL SCHOLARSHIP) SO THAT SHE COULD CONTINUE TO WRITE SONGS FOR HIM! AND HE WASN’T EVEN THAT BIG YET!

Season 2

. She performed with him (despite the fact that she had stage fright) by pretending to be Taylor Swift.

. She bungee jumped off a bridge with him (yh it was to cover up her lie but…) so that he could make a good impression with the magazine editor.

. Ally was fully ready to accept her punishment from her dad so that Trish and Dez could buy Austin more time so he can run home before his parents get home (yh he still got in trouble but that was only because the fan page alerted his parents, he would’ve gotten away with it) Yes I know Austin was selfless this whole episode but Im trying to prove a point here ok? Also can I just say it was so obvious they liked each other from this episode

.She helped him plan a date FOR ANOTHER GIRL despite the fact that she started having feelings for him. And she pulled out all the stops too because she knew he liked Kira

. She could’ve outed him then and there to Kira that they kissed but she literally just walked away.

. Ally wasn’t petty or mad when she thought he chose Kira over her. She was accepting.

. Ally still wrote a song about him even though she was a little mad at him. (He then serenades her and wins her back with said song)

.Ally still offered to write him a song (the only time she could was 4am) despite having her own career to focus on, and he declined. And at the last minute offered to give him one of hers but he though they were too girly.

. Home girl was ready to give up her song (the most personal one she’s ever written) to Kira, so that Kira could consider asking Jimmy to sign Austin again. (Kira is a literal sweetheart and let Ally sing it herself but…) Also Austin was fully ready to let Ally take his place at Starr Records but Ally wasn’t having that either.

. She forgave him for meeting with another songwriter despite the fact that he was being a drama queen and she had more of a right to be mad at him.

. She was ready to give up making her debut album just so that she could go on tour with him but Trish had to convince her not to.

Season 3

. Ally fully came just to see them (mainly him) despite that she was working on her own music. Even if she saw him for 3 days she was ready to drop everything to see him.

. She decided to stay on tour with him because she missed him too much and didn’t want to miss his first tour. He begged her to stay and she did.

.She distracted the tour guide and the press on numerous occasions so that he can escape with the silver shoes and not get in trouble.

. Ally fully adopted an ALIAS and risked losing her record deal, just so she could continue to write songs for him. Even when she had second thoughts, Austin convinced her to go through with it and she did.

.She then stood up to her FUCKING BOSS and risked losing her record deal because she refused to stop writing songs for him. She was not going down without a fight.

. She helped him with his Physics project and even made the paper plane for him. (He didn’t end up using it but he would’ve gotten an A if he did)

. Ally was the one who helped Austin overcome his stage fright and basically the one who pulled him out of his funk.

.Ally was such a supportive wifey that episode. Firstly she tried to hide the magazines with the bad review on Austin so he wouldn’t be hurt. Then she always convinced him to look at it positively. Then she became Swag Master Ally to pull him out of his funk.

.Then she gave him the ultimate pep talk which convinced him to perform in front of the critic.

.And of course she was his safety net when he was performing so he wouldn’t get nervous. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her.

.She knew something was off about Dwayne and started to investigate which led her to seeing that he was obsessed with Austin. She then came up with the plan to distract the butler so they all could escape.

. Ally helps him convince Dwayne Wade he wrote the song so he could stop being obsessed with him.

.She convinced him to go to prom and enjoy himself with Piper even though she still had feelings for him and she knew Austin was hesitant to leave her alone.

. Ally (and Trish and Dez) helped him escape Brooke.

. She (with everyone else, but especially her) didn’t want her dad to sell Sonic Boom because its where they had the most memories (its also where she grew up) and hatched a plan to convince her dad not to go through with the sale. (This is more everyone’s doing but still)

. Ally broke up with him (she really didn’t want to) because she didn’t want Austin to lose his record deal. And we all know how that turned out.

Season 4

. Ally gave up going on her tour so that she could stay in Miami with him for senior year because she knew she was gonna miss him.

.She (with Trish and Dez) begged him not to go to military school.

. She was the one who came up with the Music Factory idea so Austin wouldn’t have to work at his parents’ store forever, and he could get to do what he loves.

. She pushed him to do better in his exam so he could graduate with them

.She still made the giant pancake for him even tho he lost the bet, because she loves him and wanted to give him something for believing in her (🥹)

. Ally stayed up all night baking the 6 tier wedding cake he wanted but she really didn’t need to because everything was already done. She felt guilty that she didn’t help out more and wanted to make it up to him. (She even got cake all over her trying to get it to school)

. This isnt a point really but can I just say Ally was the only one who figured out that Flermy was Austin right away. Home girl knows her man when she sees him.

.Ally forgave him (and Trish) for not believing that she could pull off the performance at the awards show.

. Ally convinces him not to get in his head too much about his first performance since the break. She kept telling him not to listen to the fortune teller so that he wont get anxious.

.She tried to get him to think positively no matter how many things were going wrong. She even tried to lie when something the the fortune teller came true, so that he wouldn’t think what the teller told him would be true too. (That was a mouthful). Girlie was stressed for him this entire episode.

.She was the main one convincing him not to believe the negative prediction from the fortune teller.

.She tries to help him get out of the glass box.

. Ally lets the Austin impersonator stay in the music factory as Austin is coaching him. (Despite him making mess and making noise)

. Ally forgives him for losing her library book and lying about it (it almost didn’t allow her to graduate but she fixed that)

. ALLY GIVES AUSTIN HER SONGBOOK AS A GOODBYE PRESENT. Everyone knows her songbook is her firstborn child (sorry Ava). The songbook was basically her personal diary and contained all their memories she would’ve written down.

. Not to mention that the songbook had pre written songs in it so his career could continue while she was at school.

. Ally admits that she continued to write songs about him even though they were broken up.

. They sing a song she wrote about him, and that’s the performance that gets them back together.

. She agrees to officially become a musical duo with him. (Im now realizing this is yet another parallel to the pilot)

Just because Austin was more open with his love (and more dramatic) it doesn’t mean that Ally loved him any less.

Anyone with eyes can see that they’re both just as in love (and obsessed) with the other.

Airing out my LMK trailer/S5 thoughts cause u gotta do this somehow

Most glaring, animation. It’s not bad, by any means. I’d certainly be proud of myself if I were able to come up with it.

However, I think it’s important to consider the context of the show’s style, and how it’s been improving significantly over instalments. Also, it’s Flying Bark. Flying Bark is just gonna make banger animation.

Am I a bit disappointed when comparing it to Emperor’s Wrath? Yeah. Especially when we’ve been waiting a full year for this—twice as long as usual.

But I’m not saying I won’t be watching the show because of it. I still love this story. Fuck, my favourite series is Epithet Erased. The show that’s best described as JPEGs wiggling around your screen for 2 hours. I can handle less than expected animation if it’s made up for by good writing.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people attacking invisible fans that claim they’re going to boycott the show because of this. Respectfully, source? The most aggressive criticism I’ve seen is “man that’s disappointing ig, still excited tho”. Who are you guys even fighting lmao. (Unless this is something happening on other platforms and you’re just venting on here which, valid)

Nevertheless, as I’ve said before, it’s not bad animation, just not up to the standard we’re used to. People are allowed to be disappointed. Let them be. This show isn’t flawless.

It’s looking to be real, all things considered. We’ve never gotten a fan leak this elaborate before, and it contains a lot of elements that were just recently revealed. Unless they’ve been getting announcements much earlier than we have (considering this fanbase’s sleuth skills, I’d doubt it) then there’s no other explanation other than it being official.

Official, however, doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to look that way the whole time. The animation is being done by another studio, yes, but only partially. Flying Bark is still here for the fun. This other studio also isn’t incompetent, they’re behind things like Carmen Sandiego. They know what they’re doing.

They’re also primarily handling additional material, means promotions, meaning trailers. Listen, it’s a bit of a stretch considering the fact that all trailers so far have been taken directly from the show, but also it’s industry standard to make a trailer before you’re even done, meaning you gotta cut some corners for the scenes you’re showing until you polish them up in post.

We know LEGO has a habit of keeping LMK things in their vault until they need to, this may be something they had lying around from early prod and released to maintain hype.

Any which way, this development is very much temporary, only applying because the team is currently working on a movie and need to momentarily lessen their workload. Even if the odds are against us and S5 looks like a PowerPoint presentation, it’ll likely go back to normal later.

Biiig animation rant aside, I am a tad bit sad about the direction the story is going in (namely the abandonment of Red Son) and the fan service is a bit much, but honestly what else are we expecting from JTTW fanfic.

I’m stoked to see more Macaque though—he’s looking to be becoming a proper protagonist, which is great for angst! Yippee!

One thing I haven’t seen anyone talk about is the complete lack of Nüwa. You know, the character they’ve been teasing this whole time? Where is she? Not in the trailer. Not in the posters.

Makes me wondering if this is a part of the new season, teasing the next one, the one Nüwa’s in, later.
