Summary: You decide to take a trip down memory lane with your Viewers. Unaware of the consequences.

Y/N was a daily streamer under the name of {Streamer name}.

Y/N wasn't very big or popular, maybe with a few frequent watchers here and there that would greet them in real life and ask for a quick picture, but that’s all Y/N could ask for really.

They didn’t need to have a big platform or have a lot of money. They just wanted to stream for fun, just something they could do in their free time when they had nothing else to do.

Y/N didn’t really have a main style of content to put out. Sometimes it’ll be them reacting/watching something a viewer recommends, playing a video game, or even just making a relaxing space for anyone who needs it— playing soft music in the background while answering to any comments.

One day, Y/N was hit with an unexpected wave of nostalgia. They had started remembering fond memories from childhood. From the happy ones to the embarrassing ones— down to the old shows they used to watch as a kid. The sudden wave gave them an idea. Once they would get home from work, Y/N would take their viewers down memory lane and react to old shows and/or movies from the early 2000’s.

“That theme song had no reason being that good, I’m telling you,” Y/N said, taking a sip of their drink while reading the chat.

As Y/N was talking with the chat, they had let out a gasp. “Aweee, oh my god, I just remembered this really old show I used to watch,” The Streamer cooed, flashbacks flooding their mind of them watching said show for hours on end. Recalling all the soft yet bright and vibrant colors of the show, and all the lovable characters.

Y/N waited a moment for the chat to respond. Seeing most of them asking for the name of the show, while a few others carried on with their own conversations. “It wasn’t an early 2000’s show, it was like…” The streamer’s words trailed off, trying to remember when the show was made. “Ah fuck, when was the show made? It was made in the…70’s..? I wanna say, oh my god, Wait, what was it called? God damn it,” Y/N leaned back on their chair, with their hands over their face, as they tried to remember the name of the show. Meanwhile the chat was listing off shows from the 70’s to try and jog their memory.

“Oh my god it was called Welcome Home!,” Y/N shouted, jumping up from their previous position.

“That one show that looks like it was inspired by Sesame Street? Oh my god wait-“ Y/N went to Google and searched up, “Welcome Home Characters” the results popped up right immediately. “These bitches!” The streamer circled their cursor around a big JPG image of all the ‘Welcome Home’ characters.

“I remember that whenever I would have to be babysat by my grandparents, all they had was this old Combo television unit and a bunch of old VHS tapes. So all I had to watch was whatever VHS tapes they had and Welcome Home was one of them,” Y/N explained, unintentionally looking further down the rabbit hole of the show, reminiscing in all its glory. By now, Y/N was grinning from ear to ear.

“Oh my god, this is gonna be embarrassing but I remember Wally, the main character- er the one with the blue hair, low-key used to creep me out,” Y/N laughed, feeling embarrassed how a puppet with a blue pompadour used to creep them out.

“Like, I wasn’t scared of him but the way he laughed and the way he would just stare at people for an uncomfortable amount of time in the show is what creeped me out,” Y/N had elaborated after noticing the chat was clowning them for being scared of a puppet.

“I still wanna see it, give me a sec,” The streamer went to The search bar before pausing. “Is it just called ‘Welcome Home website’ Or…”

“Oh! I found it!” Y/N exclaimed, clicking on the website without hesitating The website opened up and a picture faded in with the title in big pastel letters on the left center of the picture and Wally sitting on a painted rock with colorful flowers, trees, and home all right behind him. Wally stared at you with his round eyes and had an opened mouth smile. Y/N oooh’ed in awe, fascinated by the way the site opened up. “Oh my gosh, this is so cool,” Y/N tried to contain their excitement, but the shake in their voice and the huge smile on their face was a dead give away. They apologized when they realized their failed attempt. “Sorry guys, I’m just so excited right now.”

"With a hop, skip, and a jump, you are ushered into the colorful, serendipitous world of Welcome Home! It only takes one stroll down the neighborhood to know this is just the nicest little place you’ve ever seen! Watch Wally and his colorful array of friendly neighbors learn about the vibrant world around them and take part in nonsensical fun!"

“Oh Jesus Christ, alright, let’s get started- There’s a guestbook?!…YOU CAN WRITE IN IT?! Wait- I wanna look at everything else first before I do the guestbook.“

The rest of the stream was filled with Y/N clicking around in the neighborhood and reading the info about the characters, expressing memories and giving info about some moments they remember from certain episodes. Y/N was about to click out of the neighborhood and take a look at the guest book. However, they caught a glimpse of something that seemed…out of place. “What the hell is that?” Y/N questioned, pointing to the small black spot under Home with their cursor. “What the hell is that?” The streamer leaned closer to their screen, squinting their eyes to try to get a better look. Right away, they tried to see if they could move Home out of the way, but it didn’t work. Whenever they clicked on Home it either opened up to Wally’s info or it didn’t move. “What…what do I do? That’s not just me right, you guys can see that?” Y/N was at a loss, what do they do?

“Okay, hold on,” Y/N followed the instructions the best they could, they wouldn’t really skilled in this type of stuff, so they struggled a bit, though they figured it out pretty quickly. “Okay…” They mumbled, now seeing a huge black hole in the place Home was. Y/N was confused and clicked on the hole. The computer suddenly opened up a new browser and it seemed to be taking awhile to load. However, Y/N said nothing, sitting in silence as the air slowly started to grow thick, and their palms started to sweat.

Y/N’s eyes grew wide once the image finally loaded. The whole screen was black other than a red outline of Wally on his knees, reaching up to a window and Home’s eyes staring back at him. Y/N stared at the image for what seemed like hours. They just sat there, inspecting the image in horror, but mainly in bewilderment.

What was this?

Why was Wally on the ground?

What was going on?

Why was this on the website? Was it supposed to be?

Slowly, Y/N clicked off the browser. The computer immediately took them back to the Welcome Home website. Y/N scratched their nose and clicked out of the neighborhood, going to the guestbook. “Okay, I don’t know what that was but let’s-…” The Streamer put in the name they go by online. “Let’s just do the Guestbook then I’m calling it a day,” Y/N tried not to let people see how spooked they were, but again, their now quiet and soft tone, gave it all away.

Y/N wrote in the guestbook.

“Looked around the neighborhood with all my viewers, everything was so bright and colorful! Really loved it!”

With that, Y/N bid their signature goodbye to everyone before stopping the stream and turning everything off, but Y/N didn’t move just yet. Their mind was still stuck on the image of Wally.

Was that supposed to be on the website? Why would it be? Are they just trying to add a twist to the franchise now? But why would they, it was fine the way it was. Yes, it got canceled, but that’s only because it became outdated. Was this a sign for something big?

Gah, Y/N shouldn’t be worrying about this. People are allowed to add things to a franchise as long as it stays true to the characters (to a certain extent) and stays respectful to the creators boundaries, and Wally was a bit of an odd one. Maybe they’re just now going more in depth with his character since now it’s a new time with new interest, and they have to get people’s attention somehow, right?

Whatever the reason, it was getting late, and Y/N had to get up for work tomorrow. With that, they finally got up from their uncomfortable chair they use for every stream and stretched. Satisfied when they heard some joints pop and crack. Y/N let out a yawn, realizing how tired they were before walking off to their bathroom to brush their teeth..

…Through the static of the TV, you can hear Wally’s muffled voice boom through the tiny speakers.

“Hello everyone and welcome back or to my stream! Today I’m looking at this website called “ Welcome Home.” You greeted explaining the website you found while starting your stream.

You’ve been a streamer for a few weeks, but you’ve managed to gain a lot of popularity due to keeping up with the popular topics of the months. And out of nowhere you had found the website “ Welcome Home”. You don’t know how or why it just one day popped up in one of your emails probably from some fan of yours wanting you to review it. Strangest thing about the email was how nothing was said about the website and the email even seemed to be sketchy, but curiosity got the best of you.

So without thinking or whatever had possessed you made you click on the website. For a second the bright colors and themes of the website blinded you as your eyes tried to adjust to it. The bright colors and theme of the website amazed you. As you looked further into it the website explained it was an abandoned puppet studio they had found. And wanted to revive or find out more about the old show that seemed to have been wiped from history.

You’ve heard a few things about the website and it’s fast rise to popularity so it would probably do you some good to check it out. What’s a little curiosity going to hurt?

” There’s glitches in the website?” You questioned as people flooded your comments with all the glitches in the game.

You decided to check them out after previewing the characters information about them. Though one character in particular caught your eye. Wally Darling he was the only character who ever made eye contact with the viewer. Especially in official art or any on the website his large black eyes almost followed you around in a way. It was creepy, but you guessed that might have just been something the maker of the website did.

Little did you know it wasn’t. As the lively black eyes followed you are still peering into your own eyes. Even peaking onto your stream. As you chatted to your so called “chat” about the website.

“ Hello and welcome to or back to my stream!” You said doing your usual intro for your stream.

“ Sorry if the quality is bad! I’ve been having some trouble with my computer, but that won’t stop me.” You announced.

Ever since you went onto the welcome home website you’ve been having technical difficulties with your computer. You’ve rebooted it twice, brought it to someone for repairs, and after all that you were told nothings wrong with it. Now here’s the oddest thing today as you streamed your graphics and everything was fine. No buggs or anything it was fine. Acting as if there wasn’t anything wrong with it for the last week!

“ Well I’ll just end the stream here. Thank you all watching!” You said as you finally ended the stream.

Sighing out you looked at your now glitching computer. You brought your lips to a pout still thinking of what possible way your computer would be fine. How could it be fine if it’s doing this? And what’s with the eyes that would always pop up randomly. The eyes seemed so familiar in a way too. Were you being hacked? This was just starting to get ridiculous. Who and what is doing this shit?!

Your ‘streams’ as you called them were always so interesting. He’s never really seen anything like this and you even do it for a living? A very fun job in his opinion! To just info dump, review, and give your own input on whatever you were doing sounded like a dream.

As you talked he couldn’t help but become mesmerized with your voice. It was just so addictive to just watch you all day doing your streams without a care in the world. Especially as his dark eyes watched your face contort into so many different emotions. Whether it be anger, sadness, disgust, or even adoration all of them looked so beautiful on your beautiful face. He looked forward to watching you ever day. In a way you could say he was your number one fan because he was always the first one to watch your streams every day.

But once they ended he still had front row seats to his next favorite stream. What you did when the camera was off. This was when you didn’t put on your little persona for the camera and everything was just artificially you. He loved this part of you the most. Even if you didn’t know he was there he always was watching you. You were all his thoughts had clouded over with. A fog of nothing but your sweet face saying his name in admiration just as he hoped to someday say to you.

Oh, how he just yearned to be with you! But not yet, no it’s not time. Not yet…

1.) CSI of any kind (lazy) 2.) Law Enforcement of any kind (lazy times 2) 3.) something something physics something something (still lazy) 4.) STREAMER (it just annoys me sorry) 5.) Whatever Wally is doing for Mr. Terrific (???) I personally see him going into the arts of some kind, and that encompasses A LOT but I am most fervently fond of;

1.) Textile developer for use in hero suits, basically he creates and develops the specific materials used to create super suits based on the person's specifications. I like being an Edna Mode and I am not sure if anyone fulfills this role in DC, suits just 'come from Star Labs) or are just hand made, which is nice, but I imagine someone with fire powers would not be able to just MAKE their own.

2.) Video game design - blend in his love for video games and his natural artistic talent, Mr. Sheridan was right.

3.) Author - I think he should be inspired by Linda to write stories, maybe even being a writer specifically for video games or just a traditional author. I cannot think of too many heroes that are authors.

That's all I have for now but honestly, Bart could thrive in so many fields so the above is just based on my own desires and HCs.

Young Justice Wally West is Alive is a whole genre, and there are so many interesting ways to play with the characters and their dynamics if you toss him into the 2003 Justice League Universe. So, I am playing with it. Feat. gratuitous science talk, the formative power of family bonds and childhood friendships, identity shenanigans, and a whole metric heck ton of dramatic irony because that is my jam.

But imagine Beni passing down his own personal recipes his ancestors use till this day, some were shared only to people greatly trusted. Which was not many.

However, it was not the streamer who actually received them all (maybe one or two obscure small things).

Every recipe is known by heart in Wally’s family, and the boy doesn’t enjoy living with the fact that his great great great grandfather (in public) is mainly known for being a ninja assassin, and also the potato mochi guy.

So after Beni finishes talking about his own dreams, his recipes he trusts the player with (not all, but SOME) and his restaurant future…. It makes him seem a little bit more human, but he still gets his own slander online.

Wally later just sends his ancestors authentic recipes writing quirks/ambiguity and all. Including his super secret tasty potato mochi that only his family known for hundreds of years.

By both chat, and donating the original copy of it to the daily updated Galaxy Expedition museum.

Cause honestly, even though the guy is not the greatest person.

People will have to admit he’s a fantastic chef.

I’d think that would be pretty wholesome and a cute thing.

With family members now getting to know their great ancestors of the past, sharing what they left off in the world that the streamer hadn’t found.

That would be so wholesome!!

Wally, recognizing his ancestor, and being fed up with him. What better way to help make up for it, than to share the recipes himself?

He does it in your stream first, donating a bit of money and a recipe each time.

  Verosika had seen Hellhounds when they were at their most vicious, before. Vortex wasn’t certainly no exception… but this. This was a different kind of vicious.

  Buffy’s fur was bristling all over and her fangs were bare for all to see. Her eyes were wide and glowing red as saliva dripped from her mouth. Her fingers were open and outstretched, revealing her claws.

  If Verosika didn’t know better, she’d almost say that Buffy had a bad case of hellbies.

  Behind Buffy, there was Loona, Moxxie, and Millie, all looking worriedly at the Golden Retriever Hellhound as she tore down a jack-o-lantern streamer that spelled “Fuck You Blitzo”. The party guests just watched, stunned and frozen as this one Hellhound kept trashing everything and throwing drinks on the floor. One imp even had a black eye, which he was currently nursing with an ice pack as he stood with several other demons.

  And that’s when Buffy’s eyes fell on the very succubus responsible. At first, her snarl had momentarily faded… but just for a brief moment. The moment she laid eyes on Verosika, Buffy growled furiously as she stomped toward her.

  “You…!” she growled as she pointed an accusing finger into Verosika’s chest. “Who the FUCK do you think you are, Verosika?! How could you do this?!!”

  “N-now, hold on, Buffy, just wait a second!” Verosika exclaimed. “Just listen to me-”

  “No! YOU listen!!” Buffy spat. “Do you think this shit is funny?! Huh?! You think it’s okay to make a party about hating someone who already hates himself so bad that one little push over the edge could actually lead him to do THIS?!!” She gestured to one of the “Blitzo KYS” t-shirts that Wally had been selling. “How could you do this, Verosika?! I thought we were friends!!”

  “How did you even know about the party?!” asked Verosika.

  “We saw this video on Sinstagram!” Millie exclaimed as she held up her phone, revealing a video post of Stolas singing on stage with Verosika and Vortex. Amongst the crowd was a familiar shape hidden underneath a white, bloody sheet standing right in front of the stage. Immediately, Verosika cringed, and even Vortex sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

  “Miss Mayday,” Moxxie began, “I know that Blitzø, but… I think I speak for all of us when I say ‘What the FUCK?!’”

  “Loona told me about how you used to date my Dad!” Buffy yelled at Verosika. “About how he dumped you, AGES ago! Are you that fucking petty?! You’re so fucking spiteful, that you feel like you should do this?!”

  “Buffy, it’s not what you think!” Verosika argued. “We all have a reason to hate your dad! He-”

  “I don’t give a single SHIT what your reasons are!!” Buffy spat. “I don’t care how much you hate my Dad!! He DOESN’T deserve this!!” She then glared at everyone else. “And you all are just as pathetic!! Do any of you hate my dad so much that you actually wish for him to FUCKING DIE?!!”

  Some of the guests were prepared to counter that argument… but then, some stopped and looked at each other. Others might have looked angry, but then their anger gave way to realization… then, the realization slowly formed into guilty looks.
