I miss the old relationship Dick and Tim had. Like Tim was Dick’s baby brother and they threw hands at the drop of a hat, and went train surfing and ate junk food together, and Tim called Dick when he was upset, and Dick mentored Tim and went to a parent teacher conference with him and they were so close and DC writers basically just scrapped their entire relationship for Damian and I’m fine with Damian but I miss their old relationship. It just makes me so damn sad. LET THEM LOVE EACH OTHER.

you know whenever I see the Batman hashtags trending I just often think to myself , *sigh* what did Bruce do now?

First, they discontinue super sons issues, bringing it back for a Halloween special edition and then ghost.

Then, they have Jon age up and date immediately in time for pride, no warning.

Then, he’s Superman.

Then, we get a super sons movie where he’s 10 again (?)

Then, they have Jon and Dick team up as a protege-mentee situation—not bad! Just…not quite the character we’ve just established. Not quite Jon

Then, they have Jon and Damian babysitting wonder woman’s daughter for *checks books* 7 years????? Making Damian and Jon 21 and 24 respectively??? Ok…?

Then, they do Beastworld, and Nightwing comics, AND Superman comics AND Wonder Woman issues with Jon in ALL OF THEM at the SAME TIME and looking vastly different in all of them, with vastly different characterizations, none of them solid, consistent, or acknowledging the fact that he’s been trapped inside a volcano and travelling the multiverse and having a boyfriend all in the same breath.

What am I supposed to be believing right now, DC.

You’re so real for saying that Jason barely cared about the Joker in UTRH. The only thing he cared about was fucking with Bruce. (Which he did)

I seriously question if anyone who buys into the Jason is obsessed with killing the Joker has actually read utrh like there's a whole conversation between Jason and joker about how little Jason cares about him tho I guess I shouldn't be too harsh considering the amount of other dc books that play it up and that the movie (iirc) didn't include that conversation which oh I would have loved to have seen it animated

The hate I feel for Bruce is. Astronomical, and the Canon is NOT helping that. Every time I see a panel, he's either fighting his kids over his own stupid ass rule, or he's brooding and taking it out on the kids HE ADOPTED.

Like man if you didn't want your kids to be different from you, why not make robot soldiers instead.

(The Real Bruce, aka Lego Batman and WFA Bruce would NEVER treat his kids (specifically his SONS ) like this.

Decending into the vipers pit again to say that Jason is NOT utilitarian in utrh. That would imply that he was dispassionate and merely focused on the "greater good", but no, that boy was there for his own personal sense of justice. Utilitarian justification is on his side, but that is not what he is. Jason believes in his own sense of justice, retribution for grievious slights and the special moral exceptionalism within families and love. At times he acts as a utilitarian would, but the truer understanding of his character would be that he has a personal sense of justice and own moral compass.
