The Scenic Route
Civilian/Non-Military AU
Summary: You, your boyfriend, and his best friend go on a road trip together. One night, when his friend's asleep in the backseat, you and your boyfriend get up to trouble in the front.
Pairing: Simon "Ghost" Riley x F!Reader
Word Count: ~1.0k
Warnings: SMUT 18+ (fingering, vaginal sex, voyeurism/exhibitionism – both include an unknowing/unconsenting party)
A/N: Hello! This scenario actually came to me in a dream lol. I'm sorry I haven't posted much as of late, but I've been trying to get over a nasty bout of writer's block recently. This drabble is the first thing I've been able to finish in months, so as always, I hope you all enjoy! :)
Tumblr media
Just imagine it: you, your boyfriend, and his best friend are on a cross-country road trip for the summer. After miles and miles traversing winding roads and visiting quaint, historic towns, what started out as a fun adventure has become… mmm, less so. Because the days, maybe weeks, stuck together in a metal box with wheels has left you feeling a little… frustrated, if you know what I mean.
It's no one's fault, really. That's just the nature of extensive group traveling. But your poor boyfriend's friend, bless his heart, has really received the brunt of your ire.
Though it's not technically his fault you're all pent up, you can't help but feel a sort of unjust bitterness towards him. It's just that all the times you and Simon have tried to sneak away for a little 'alone' time, his friend was always hot on your trails, interrupting whatever tryst you two were trying to engage in.
So now, well over a week into your trip, Simon can tell you're about to explode. Trust him, he feels the same way as you, so at the first opportunity he sees, he takes it.
One night, when his best friend is fast asleep in the backseat of the car, Simon suddenly pulls over on a stretch of deserted highway. You think he's stopping because maybe there's something wrong with the vehicle, but then he's leaning over the center console, pressing his lips urgently to yours.
Immediately, you startle and try to push him back. "What are you—?"
"Shh," he hushes softly. "It's alright. He's asleep." He points his chin towards the snoring passenger.
And though a quick peek for yourself confirms Simon's words, that doesn't stop the concern from rising within you, especially as he undoes both your seatbelts. Even if his friend is dead asleep, he's still sitting just a few feet away in full view of everything. The proximity as well as possibility of him waking has you flooded with anxiety, and with your eyes locked on the sleeping figure, you try to protest your boyfriend, whose lips gently suck the hinge of your jaw.
"He could—"
But then Simon's big hand is down the front of your pants, swirling quick, tight circles around your neglected clit. You choke on a moan as he presses his fingertips hard against you, grabbing his collar when he dips lower, smearing them through your slick.
It feels so good yet so wrong all at the same time. But despite the guilt weighing on your conscience, ultimately, you can't help but be swept up in the moment.
Gaze still fixed on the man in the backseat, you let your boyfriend play with you however he wills. You twitch and groan, trying to keep your noises to a minimum, but it's difficult with how terribly brilliant he is at this.
He's smirking, the bastard, as he takes you apart right there on the side of the road. And when he stuffs you full with two fingers, causing your voice to suddenly pique, Simon urges with a low purr in your ear, "Shhhhhh... Don't wanna wake him, do you?"
~OR ALTERNATIVELY~
Simon, feeling like the third wheel on you and your boyfriend's road trip. Even though this trip had been planned for months and even though you two try to include him in everything, he can't shake that feeling of a deep tension directed towards him, from you in particular.
While you're not outwardly hostile to Simon, it's the little things he's picked up on. Like how multiple times he's caught you staring at him in the rearview mirror, or whenever he's accidentally brushed against you, you've reared back and caressed the spot like you'd just been burned.
And he gets it; he's not the most convivial of traveling companions. A few weeks crammed together can strain even the best of relationships, and especially so when you two weren't particularly close to begin with.
So imagine Simon's confusion when one night he's awoken by the gentle sway of the car rocking back and forth. At first, he thinks it's just the normal movements of a vehicle in drive. But then he hears something – the unmistakable sound of a woman's breathy moan – and his senses are suddenly on high alert.
With the motion of the cabin around him and the crude noises in his ears, it seems obvious what the two of you are getting up to. But they wouldn't, would they? Not when he's sitting right here.
Peeking one eye open, Simon's suspicions are confirmed as he sees you straddling your boyfriend in the driver's seat. Your arms are wound around the headrest, your face twisted up in pleasure, and Simon can just make out the naked skin of your hip as you bounce in his best friend's lap.
The sight is such a shock to the system that Simon's first instinct is to freeze, both lids flying open without thought. You two must've noticed him asleep and taken a chance to steal a quick moment together, and now he's an intruding third party who's become witness to something he was never meant to see.
Realizing what he's doing, he's about to feign sleep and pretend like nothing happened tomorrow. But before he can act, your eyes suddenly connect with his, and he finds he's hopelessly rooted to his spot.
Are you about to scream? About to cry out and call him a pervert?
So many possibilities run through Simon's mind, but what actually unfurls is even more surprising than anything he could've predicted.
Rather than being angry or shocked to see him peeping, you seem almost… amused. Aroused, if he didn't know better.
Keeping your gaze locked with Simon's, you flash a pleased, little smile, and continue eagerly fucking yourself on his best friend's cock. You toss your head back, grope your chest through your shirt, really put on a show for the man in the back all while the one in the front remains completely unaware.
And Simon, for his part, can't look away from the scene. Whether it's out of confusion or sheer curiosity, he watches on, keeping his eyes firmly glued to your figure.
Will either of you mention this come tomorrow morning? It's hard to say in the moment. But for now, as he's kept rapt by your performance, Simon's content to sit back and let this road lead him where it may.

Word count: 613.
Autor's note: After practically a year and a half without writing anything or setting foot on this social network, here I am again. I wanna make a taglist in the future, eventually, in case people show interest, but I don't really know how that works 'cause I'm newbie. Let's see. Hope y'all enjoy anyways!
Release date: ???.
Tumblr media
Since you agreed to participate in this summer car-beach-trip planned mostly by your best friend, Yizhuo, you've had the opportunity to meet her group of friends. Or, in this case, almost everyone.
Supposedly, including you, the group is made up of eight people: Yizhuo, Cocona, Shuhua, you, Sunwoo, Eric, Kevin and... The Juyeon guy. You met everyone at the meeting point before the trip, except Juyeon. You also don't remember seeing him chat in the chat group that Yizhuo created for the trip called Summerize. He's still a mystery to those eyes of yours.
Even though you tend to lean towards introversion as an ambivert, you were pleasantly surprised by how well you fit in the group. Everyone welcomed you warmly, and you were really looking forward to this much-needed vacation. After finishing your final year of university and graduating, you made a deal with your aunt Jinae, who you currently live with, to take six months off to make up for the last few summers lost to rigorous studies before starting your first job.
Yizhuo thought this was the perfect opportunity to put the car trip plan into practice, and now here you are. Unloading your bags from their cars and setting up their tents on the beach of a neighboring city, which you are visiting for the very first time.
“Y/N! Can you go get the pillows in Sunwoo's car?” As you were assisting your bestfriend with setting up her tent, you could hear Shuhua's cheerful voice resonating in the background. She's Sunwoo's girlfriend and one of Yizhuo's closest friends. “They're stored in a large bag near the backseats!”
“Of course! Ningning, I'll be right back. Is that okay?” You wanted to make sure your bestfriend could manage her beach tent alone, and she nodded in response to you with a soft smile planted on her gorgeous face. And with her approval, you then headed towards Sunwoo's car.
All the doors were already open, which was natural since the cars were used to transport everyone's suitcases and belongings during the journey on the roads. Remembering Shuhua's directions, you casually approached the door on the right side of the backseats, and you bent over to get into the car.
At the exact moment you bent down, the tall, well-sculpted body of a boy who was lying down gets up to leave the vehicle. And suddenly, in a matter of less than one minute, you were face to face with the Juyeon guy.
There were just mere millimeters of distance between your faces while your wide eyes barely blinked, the shock on your body not allowing you to move at all.
You were, indeed, pretty much surprised. His symmetrical features were absolutely divine, his tanned skin appeared to be very well cared for. And the feline orbs that held yours practically paralyzed any possible movement on your part.
Lee Juyeon was beautiful. More than that, Lee Juyeon was hot.
You're not sure how many seconds, or even minutes, have passed since you were staring at him in awe, accidentally blocking his way out of Sunwoo's car. And you only realized you were staring when you heard his voice for the very first time.
“Cat got your tongue? ”
You could feel your face burning, and it was impossible to use an excuse like the heat of the sun at that time. After all, you had arrived at the beach from your trip with them at dinner time.
But oh, if only you could guess what's behind this story that's about to unfold...

Hobie Brown x BlackFem!Reader Ingredients: Sugar, kisses, and a lil bit of smiles! TWs: Chaotic Hobie, Cockney slang LMFAOO, cussin' W/C: 1.3k A/N: British ppl please correct the slang tyvm
Tumblr media
"For the last time, I'm a good driver! Swear it!" Hobie reassured as he threw a smaller size suitcase in the backseat of his van. You had reluctantly agreed to go on a road trip with him across the country just a few days prior, but you weren't sure if you wanted Hobie to drive on account of him not having an actual license. "Babes, I can drive. I jus' don't 'ave an official card that says so!" he giggled, grinning ear to ear as if he wasn't just confessing to putting both your lives at risk. "'M not so sure I want you driving, Hobie..." You muttered, throwing your small suitcase in the back alongside his as you climbed into the passenger seat. "Relax, dollface! We'll be alright, jus' need'ta find my daisy roots..." he said, diving in the back seat for his extra pair of chunky black boots and blue laces.
He emerged a couple seconds later, a small grin on his face as he showed you his 'nature boots', the ones he only used for trails or hiking. "Baby, why are all your laces blue?" You asked, tilting your head to the side as Hobie started up the car. "Why do you think I don't have a license?" he 'answered', patting the side of your face gently as he backed out of his parking spot just a few feet away from the dock. You hummed to yourself as you got out on the road, mumbling song lyrics occasionally as you tapped away on your phone. "...I get my kicks on and I wanna start a rager..." you murmured, quickly shutting up when you heard an "Oi! No green day nonsense in my jam jar!" from Hobie.
"Damn nigga, well then turn on the radio!" You giggled, attempting to change the station and turn up the volume. "Y'gotta kick it" Hobie stated as normally as ever. "Huh?" you asked, eyes widening as a confused smile grew on your face. Hobie laughed, shaking his head as he gave the firmest kick to the car radio you'd ever seen him give. The car shook with the force of his boot, eyes widening as music suddenly began to play out of the speakers.
You both erupted in giggles, fighting for your life as you both realized just how bad Hobie's car was. He could always fix it anytime he wanted, he just chose not to. Spewing something along the lines of how it 'gives the car personality' and he doesn't feel like spending time on fixing something when it still...'works'. You let the music invade your ears, feeling your body vibrate slightly with each bass thump. Hobie used one hand to guide himself through the road, and another to drum his finger against your thigh as he found his natural comfort with the music.
"Chain-gang chainmail, I DON'T THINK AT ALL!" he sang, clearly in his own little world as you giggled at his cute self. You nodded your head to the music, staring at the cars and trees passing by through the window. "Hey, Hobie?" You began, slowly facing him as you realized you had no idea where he was going. "Yea, luv?" He answered, keeping his eyes on the road ahead of him as he turned down the radio to hear you better. "Where we goin'?" You asked as you reached back awkwardly into the backseat, snatching the fuzzy blanket Hobie purposefully kept back there for you and throwing it across your body.'
"No idea." He laughed, clearly driving around with no real goal. "We'll find out when we get there!" He smiled, turning up the heat in the car slightly as you nodded in disbelief. You both vibed to the music flowing from the radio, talking about various topics that appeared in your head. "Think 'm just a cat person, luvvie. Dogs get acclimated to a schedule, cats do whatever they fuckin' want, yea?" he explained while he made a sharp right, finding himself parking next to a random city you'd never even seen in your life. "Hobie...how the fuck did you know this was here" you gawked, becoming utterly confused as you cautiously climbed out of the car. "Didn't!" he shrugged, gently grabbing your hand and pretending to help you out of a carriage.
You set off down the unfamiliar city, purchasing various sweets and snacks from small businesses and thrift stores. "Hobie, look!" You squealed as you held up the rabbit plushie, a massive grin on your face as you displayed one of its floppy ears. "Look at tha'! Put it in the trolley n we'll get it, right?" he said as you handed him the small bunny, skipping off to hopefully find more of its variants in a further section. Unfortunately, you didn't find another version. So you made your way over to the counter, paid for your items, and left the store clutching a stitched and stuffed bunny. "Y'gonna name him?" Hobie asked, raising his shoulder as a form of pointing to the stuffed animal.
"Like a baby?" you giggled, rolling your eyes jokingly. "Yeah sure, I'll name our son. Hoppart Jr." You laughed, in danger of losing your footing as you stumbled due to your violent giggles. Hobie gave you a small look of disapproval before bursting out into laughter beside you. "Alright, alright. Your son, you can name him whatever" he shrugged with a toothy grin. "OUR son" you corrected as Hobie opened your car door, chuckling and snorting as he shook his head. "OUR son" he echoed as he dove into the driver seat.
You set off on the road again, conversing and joking about everything under the sun while holding your 'son' on your lap, examining the new plush you'd add to your collection. "I think we should give him piercings" Hobie commented as he drove with...one hand yet again. "WHAAAT!? You wanna give your baby piercings!" You joked, pretending to gasp and cover Hoppart Jr's ears. "People do it all the time! Plus, you can't tell me it wouldn't look cool on that plush" he explained as a smile crept up onto his features. "Yeah, you're right I think I'll put some on him when we get home" You nodded, turning the plush to face you as you mapped out what areas you'd pierce. You rested the plush back on your lap, covering the both of you with the fluffy blanket as you stared out the window.
The sky was turning a sugary shade of pink, the sun hanging low to your left, tucked in between fluffy clouds as you felt yourself mellow out. "Y'alright, luvvie?' Hobie asked, glancing over to see you leaning on the car window, staring at seemingly nothing as you got quiet. "Hmm? Oh, yeah, babe. Just a lil tired..." you answered, voice sounding softer and lower than usual. "Ah, Okay. Can you stay up for me a lil longer? Wanna show you something later" He cooed, gently rubbing your shoulder as you nodded. "Y'can sleep all you want after, dove I swear" he added as he sped up slightly.
You battled sleep for roughly 30 minutes, watching as the sky transformed from pink and orange to dark and blue. "C'mon, luv let's go" Hobie whispered as he scooped you up from the passenger side, parking the car in a random field. You instinctively wrapped your arms around his neck, leaning your head against his shoulder as he raised himself out of the van's sunroof. He found purchase on the roof of his car, turning you around on his lap so you could see the breathtaking view of the night sky with little to no light pollution. You watched in awe as the stars illuminated the night sky, finding refuge perfectly in every speck of empty space around the moon.
"Damn...'s fuckin' amazing, Bee. Can't tell me this wasn't planned" You smiled, staring up at the speckled inky black sky, grinning tiredly as Hobie wrapped both arms around your waist and rested his chin on your head. "This bit was, yeah. I wanted to show you since I know you love staring at the moon...for whatever reason" he sniggered. "Wow! Such a gentleman" you joked, pushing back on his chest to shove him without moving your arms.
"Thank you, my love."
"Ya welcome, lil Dove"

asking as anon because for some reason it never works when I post with my name, but this is @lisupanddown and I just wanted to say that I was so excited to see you posting. I’m a long time lurker and your stories and OCs - especially Remy - are some of my favorites. I’m a big fan of casual sickies or people who just don’t freak out much when they need to throw up and he’s the master of that. That whole, “hold on, I’m not feeling so great, give me a second to throw up here” vibe. If you ever wanted to write him another fic with that theme, or with him caring for Julien or Mila with the same attitude, I would not object!
Hi Lis! Thanks for the ask :) You get two sickies for the price of one!
Enjoy some carsick Remy and Jules.
~~~
“‘Go on a roadtrip with the family,’ they say. ‘It makes you become a better unit.’ Whoever says that doesn’t have two of the most motionsick people ever in their family.” Mila sighed as Julian retched in the backseat.
“You might want to stop soon, M.” Remy mumbled from the passenger seat.
“I know, I'm trying to find somewhere to pull off.”
Julian gagged harshly and the sound of liquid hitting plastic spread through the car.
“Just a couple more minutes Jules.” Mila said, glancing in the rearview mirror and seeing Julian curled forward and Leah reaching from her carseat to gently pat his back.
“M, I’m going to be sick. I think it’s best if we stop.” Remy reiterated rather calmly for what he was saying.
“Do you want me to just pull onto the shoulder? I’m trying to make it to the next rest stop.” Mila was quickly becoming overwhelmed.
Mila pulled into the lot outside of the rest stop and had barely come to a stop before Remy basically ejected himself out of the car and projectile vomited onto the asphalt.
“Fuck,” Mila mumbled under her breath. She got out and walked over to where Remy was doubled over. He retched again harshly, more vomit pooling at his feet.
“Are you okay?” She asked, rubbing his back.
He spit and cleared his throat, “Yeah, I’ll be fine. Go check on Jules.”
“Okay, I’ll be right back and bring you some water.”
Remy nodded and planted his hands on his knees, coughing up more sick as Mila walked away.
Julian was leaning against the back of his car, one hand braced on his knee and the other holding a water bottle.
“How are you holding up Jules?” Mila asked, leaning on the car next to him.
Julian shook his head, staring intently at the ground between his feet. Mila assumed he was trying to will his stomach to stay in place. His efforts wouldn’t hold up long before he suddenly folded in half and gagged, bringing up mostly water with little effort.
“Alright, just ride it out.” Mila soothed, rubbing his back as he dry heaved over the pavement. “You can’t have much left in you.”
“I feel like shit. Who’s idea was a 6 hour road trip?” He complained.
“I know, I’m sorry. We’re only about 30 minutes out and then you can lay in bed and recover for the rest of the night.” Mila continued to rub his back, “Can you make it?”
“I can’t promise anything.”
“We’ll get you another bag before we get back on the road…” She pushed away from the car. “Are there bottles of water still?”
Julian nodded.
“Are you okay if I go and take some water to Remy?”
He nodded again and Mila went into the back of the car to get water, “How are you doing back here Bug?”
“Are Juli and Daddy okay?”
“Yeah they’ll be okay, the car just makes their tummies upset sometimes. Are you feeling okay?”
“Mhmm,” she nodded enthusiastically with a thumbs up.
“Okay, good. I’m going to go check on Daddy and then we’ll be back on our way.”
Remy was sitting on the curb, one hand massaging his temple.
“I got you some water.” Mila said, sitting next to him.
“Thanks, I really appreciate it.” He took a deep breath and cracked open the bottle. “How’s Jules?”
“Sick, but he’ll be okay. We only have about 25-30 minutes left… How about you? Are you gonna make it?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. It’s not my first rodeo.” He took a sip and paused, waiting to see if it’ll stay down. “This trip is a disaster.”
“Not a complete disaster… the drive? Maybe. But the rest of the trip still has so much potential. Are you ready to get this show back on the road?”
Remy sighed and nodded, “Yeah, let’s get this over with.”
RobStar Week 2023, Day 2 - Carnival/Amusement Park
(Shhh, I know I'm late.)
---
Kory glanced aside at Dick knowingly as he switched the turn signal on, moving them towards the right lane of the highway.
He took his eyes off the road briefly, sending her a conspiratorial wink.
Grinning, Kory waited until they were about half a mile away from their exit, before calling back to the two children in the backseat, both slumped over and staring glumly out their windows, disappointed over the end of their trip.
"Mar'i? Jake? Can you look out the window to your right and tell me what you see?" she asked them, failing to hide the mischievous sparkle in her green eyes.
Mar'i was on the right side, and lifted her head from her chin curiously, sending a puzzled squint out the window as the sign for the exit came up.
They knew the moment she'd realized because an ear-splitting excited squeal at an unholy decible shook the car.
"IT'S WETZLEYWOOOOOORLD!" Mar'i shouted, fists clenched, bouncing in her seat.
"What's Wetzleyworld?" asked Jake, leaning over and straining to see.
"Oh my gosh, Jake, it's so fun! We came once when you and I were little, I think you were two, it's the most awesomest, funnest, coolest place ever!" She squealed again, the seatbelt straining to contain her as she floated a half-inch above her seat. "It's got bumper cars and rock climbing and rollercoasters and a Ferris wheel and-"
Dick and Kory smiled at each other from the front seats, pleased at having kept the impromptu visit a surprise for their little ones.
"Hope they still have the Whirl-a-Gig Tower," Dick commented, sliding the car neatly into the exit lane.
"Oh yes, that one was one of my favorites as well," Kory agreed, nodding. Her eyes pinched suddenly, skin wrinkling between her brows. "Did you hear they tore down the Sonic Splashdown?"
He glanced askance at her. "No!" he said, dismayed and in disbelief. "Aww man, we loved that one. It was the perfect cooldown ride for summer."
"I hear they have revamped it with a newer style. It will still be a water ride just... not as big," she hastened to inform him, not quite able to hide her own disappointment.
Dick gave a grumbling sigh. "Guess it can't be helped." He checked over with her, pulling them up to a stoplight. "You've got all our passes?"
She nodded, slipping her hand into the canvas bag in her lap and producing them, four slightly folded sheets of paper. "Indeed. We need to present these at the front gates, which will gain us admittance, and then we must report to the Customer Service booth to gain the laminated badges."
He reached over and squeezed her hand, warmly affectionate. "Thanks for handling that, Star," he told her gratefully. "I know it was a lot to handle on short notice."
Kory flipped a bit of her hair back proudly. "It was nothing," she declared. "I rather enjoyed talking to the service representative; she was very nice and helpful and is expecting a third child in May."
Dick chuckled. Leave it to his Starfire to make friends with a total stranger.
The light flipped to green and he released the brake, taking the turn into the drive that led to the main entrance.
***
The crowds were impressive, several groups of students, families, and youth groups in matching shirts scattered here and there, and dozens of individual families milling around as well. The noise of their talking was matched only by the noise of the amenities, roaring coasters rattling on their tracks, vendors hawking for players at the prize booths, popcorn and cotton candy machines going full steam. The park's kindly mascot, Wetzley the Walrus, twinkled round black eyes out from plushies, billboards, and signage.
Mar'i was already begging for a giant pink flamingo prize hanging above the baseball toss. Dick paid the extra fee and let Kory have the honors, watching her wind up and let a rip with just a touch of her alien strength.
Just a touch was all it took, toppling the whole stack of weighted bottles with a magnificent clatter. Kory beamed as the attendant handed her the flamingo, and Dick felt a rush of nostalgia and adoration; His wife had wanted the same stuffed prize years and years ago when they'd first come here, on what was technically their first date. Technically because they had still been in that weird awkward stage of, "We're just friends, we don't totally like each other at all, but I still really care about impressing you."
The asshole who had prevented him from even taking a turn at the game was no longer working that particular booth, he was satisfied to see.
Mar'i was making grabby hands with her fingers. "Can I hold it? Can I? Can I?"
Kory frowned. "I do not believe that is a good idea, Mar'i. It it much larger than you are, and we do not want to attract attention."
"Awwww!" Mar'i groaned in disappointment, dropping her hands.
"Besides," Dick said, coming up closer, "we're going to have them reserve it at the front for us. That way it won't get wet or dirty before we take it home."
Mar'i mumbled but accepted that logic. Jake, meanwhile, had spotted the carousel.
"MOMMY!" he squealed, pointed excitedly. "DADDY! THEY HAVE A SEAHORSE!"
"Yeah?" Dick responded, leaning down with hands on his knees, matching his son's excitement.
"Yes, see!"
"Well we'd better go ride it then," he urged, taking the flamingo as Kory passed it to him, handing it in turn to the park runner who had just been summoned to fetch the large prize to the front for safekeeping.
Jake was off like a rocket, his sister three steps behind him.
"Do not get too far ahead!" Kory called in worried warning, trying to keep up.
***
When all the coasters had been ridden at least once—and some of them twice—multiple snacks consumed, both children's faces painted with bright designs—Mar'i had gotten a swirling gold and silver configuration called Azure Princess and Jake had gotten the tusks and beady eyes of the ever-ubiquitous Wetzley—and everyone's calves and feet were thoroughly exhausted Dick finally called an end to the day.
Mar'i trudged along sleepily at his side, while Kory held a dozing Jake, his little arms draped around her shoulders.
"I am glad we could share this with them again," Kory said, as they made their way through the exit gate, picking up their flamingo on the way. She smiled in a way that made his heart flip inside him. "This is still my favorite place to come with you," she said, voice soft.
His cheeks heated and like that he was mentally fifteen again, gaping in awe at how pretty she was, how vibrant and full of life and endless enthusiasm.
"Yeah," was all he could say to agree.
Their hands found each other's as they walked across the parking lot, son and daughter and flamingo in tow, the orange light of sunset splashing across the sky.
Jess Asks for Help
Dean x sister! reader x Sam
Inspired by Episode 1
Description: As Dean is trying to convince Sam to join the the expedition to find dad, the youngest Winchester helps Sam's girlfriend in the kitchen.
Tumblr media
╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼╼
        The road was eerily vacant as Dean slowly presses the gas pedal on the Impala. He stops in front of a particular building, observing the complex for any openings he could get into.
        "So, this is where Sammy lives?" (Name) whispers from the backseat, nervous to speak any louder in fear of somehow alerting someone.
        "Yeah," Dean replies while putting the key in his jacket. He steps out of the car, leaning down to look at his sister. "Stay in the car; I'll be back in a few."
        "Okay," she murmurs, leaning slightly against the driver's seat. "Hurry back." He nods before shutting the door.
        Soon enough though, (Name) got bored. She retraces her brother's steps and begins to climb up the building with the upmost caution. She makes it to the window and crawls in.
"(Name)-"
"I thought I told you to stay in the car."
        Two voices spoke at the same time. Both of her brothers were standing a few feet from the window. A smile etches across the young Winchester's face. She races to hug her second oldest brother. "Sam!"
        Hey, how are you?" Sam asks softly, gently wrapping his arms around her.
        "I missed you," She says.
        "Sam?" a woman's voice calls from the doorway. Light sheds through the room as a lamp turns on, revealing a pretty blondie in her sleepwear.
        "Jess... hey," Sam says, pushing his sister away slightly. He looks at Dean, frowning. "Dean, this is my girlfriend Jessica."
        "Wait, your brother Dean?"Jessica questions with a small smile, "so this must be (Name)," she said, looking at the only girl in the room besides her.
        "I love the smurfs," Dean says suddenly, a lazy grin on his face. (Name) rolls her eyes. "You know, I gotta tell you, you are way out of my brother's league." Dean proceeds to get closer to Jessica, ignoring the fact his siblings were still in the rooms.
        "Just let me put something on," Jessica replies, glancing at Sam for help.
        "no, no, no. I wouldn't dream of it... seriously. Anyway, I got to borrow your boyfriend  here to talk about some private family business but, uh, nice meet'n you."
        "No," Sam states boldly as he walks over to Jess's side, "no, whatever you want to say, you can say in front of her."
        "Ok," Dean says, "um, Dad hasn't been home in a few days."
        "So he's working overtime, he'll stumble back in sooner or later," Sam retorts coolly.
        "Dad's on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days." Silence fills the room as Sam thinks for a brief moment.
        "Jess, excuse us." the brothers walk towards the door, leaving behind the two females in the room.
        "(Name)," Jess says after a brief pause, "would you like to help with breakfast?"
        (Name) watches as the hot liquid drizzles into the coffee pot, rising ounce by ounce until it reaches full capacity. Jessica stood behind her cutting strawberries into a bowl.
        "You seem to know how to work that thing," Jess says, trying to make conversation.
        "Yeah. I make coffee for my dad and Dean sometimes. Never tried it though."
        "You're close with your family, aren't you?"
        "Kind of."
        "That's nice. You must have been sad when Sam left for college."
        "Devastated," (Name) mutters, turning around to look at Jessica, "We've been through a lot..."
        "I'm sure," she replies. She pops a strawberry into her mouth, then offers one to the girl. "Strawberry?"
        "Love one," (Name) smiles back, snagging one from the bowl. The two females begin to joke around, sharing the fruit between them, until Sam comes in.
        "Come on (Name), we're leaving," he says as he heads to one of the rooms at the back of the apartment. Jess follows after him. (Name) follows suit, but hesitates at the end of the hallway.
        "Wait, your taking off?" Jess's voice can be heard from the room. "Is this about your dad? Is he alright?"
        After a few minutes, Sam comes out with a duffel bag hanging from his shoulder. Jess leans against the bedroom doorway, waving goodbye. Sam took (Name) by the shoulders, guiding her out of the apartment and down the stairs.
        "So, your coming with us?" (Name) asks in hope.
        "Just until Monday."
        "Good enough for me."
karamatsu talks big game about speeding down the highway in his super cool karamatsu sports car and then you get in his toyota yaris and it takes 5 hours to get anywhere because he drives like a little old man who can't stop giving way to people
choromatsu is the most annoying backseat driver who reads driving manuals and won't shut up about The Laws. and then when he's driving he's in a constant state of anxiety and panic, always misses the speed limit changing, never uses his turn signal, abuses his car horn and yells and swears at the road and at anyone who tries to talk to him
todomatsu is like i can drive and he's right he can but he'll cut you off in his cute pink car so he's annoying anyways.
and it's "i can drive" until they go on a family (or just sextuplet) road trip then it's suddenly "ohh i'm not that good a driver my eyes get sooo tired and i get motion sick and i lost my license actually" even though you can see it in his clear phone case. because todomatsu does not want to drive for hours on end with his brothers in the back. choromatsu's like I can do it! and everyone else screams NO simultaneously. and so karamatsu has to drive
ichimatsu doesn't drive because he finds it stressful and says he doesn't have anywhere to go (and everyone's kind of glad for it because they firmly believe that he would run karamatsu over whenever given the chance). osomatsu and jyushimatsu don't drive because the other 4 have signed a contract in blood to never let either of the two anywhere near a wheel
grishaverse (mostly soc) fics
since i've now posted over 20k of fic for this fandom i figured i'd do a little collection post for them 👀
when i'm beat up and alone, 1.4k words. jesper has a very bad day and gets beat up for his efforts. It’s a testament to his fucked up state—the reason he should never touch another drop of alcohol, a promise he has made far too many times—that they get the jump on him and he can’t reach for his guns in time, long-trained reflexes impeded by just about everything this shitty day has thrown his way. His head meets concrete and the world slides away for a brief, but far too crucial moment. -
live to fight another day, 2.6k words. five times jesper says "this is how we die" and one time he refuses to say it. His mama presses her lips to his forehead, tugs him down to match her height once more. She smiles, bright as the sun above their heads. The tear tracks down her face turn golden. Then those gentle, oh-so-gentle hands move to his chest, and Aditi—beautiful, loving, stubborn woman that she is—shoves. -
anything for love and war, 587 words. jesper gives wylan a key and freaks out about it. But insecurity has always been a loathed companion following his every step, and Jesper has always talked too much. Everything suddenly feels too fast, like he’s falling from a precipice he didn’t even have time to see. He’s never been here before, he thinks with an edge of panic. -
with bloody feet across the hallow ground, 8.9k words, ongoing WIP. everyone is fucked up in a more magical way, kaz is the barrel itself, the wraith receives prayers, wylan still crawls out of Ketterdam canals, jesper loses his soul during a game, and nina dabbles in necromancy. How then, the Wraith muses as she watches Ketterdam come to life with the approaching dark, is it possible that he doesn’t scoff at her mere existence—when faith is engraved into every tool her hands reach for, when the torn loom of her being is stitched up with the very thread that fills his floors with every new prayer a poor soul utters somewhere in the streets? -
all i ever wanted was to be of use, 5.6k words. jesper and kaz are missing inej and don't deal with it in a healthy way. kaz uses wylan's past to get to jesper. He knew the sanctuary he had found would be temporary, that his father would find him again to finish what Wylan failed to do back in the canal. He’d been foolish when he hoped it would take its time. All this time where he thought he had found happiness, he’d instead gotten complacent, let himself be lulled into a false sense of security with Jesper’s laughter and kindness. He should have known better than think he could build himself a home amidst these people.  -
please forgive my ugly, 2.1k words, ongoing WIP. jesper, up to his neck in debt, gets evicted and moves in with nina and inej, finally accepting that he needs help. The last time, Jesper tells himself on his first night, the last time things were this bad, he’d gotten Inej stabbed and irreparably damaged his relationship with Kaz. “This action will have no echo,” Jesper laughs joylessly into the rain thundering down on the bus stop roof. At least this time he alone has to bear the consequences. At least this time he doesn’t have blood on his hands. -
like a true survivor, 2k words. alina climbs into the car trunk of some strangers and ends up as a road trip buddy for the crows. She’d climbed into the backseat, with the Suli woman joining her on the other side. The Zemeni man had slid into the driver’s seat with a bright grin—Alina is pretty sure he was the one who kept laughing last night—and promptly held out an opened tub of gummy worms towards her. She hadn’t taken one until the man pointedly ate one himself as though to convince her they weren’t poisoned.
Ruby's wrists were bruised from how tight Rafe had gripped them after John B had left. It had been twelve hours and he was still pissed, said they were moving to where no one would ever find Ruby again.
"Get in the fucking car," Rafe snapped, slamming the trunk closed.
"Ow-- I'm trying, God!" Ruby yelped as Rafe slapped her ass, getting into the car and shutting her door. "Where the hell are we even going, anyway?" She asked, folding her arms with a pout on her face.
"The airstrip."
"Okay, no shit, Sherlock."
"Did hitting me in the head with a vase suddenly give you the right to be mouthy?" Rafe asked, turning to her as he pulled out of the driveway.
"No..."
God, she fucking wished.
"That's what I thought," Rafe snapped, turning back to the road. The rest of the trip was silent except for the occasional huff or sigh.
--
Rafe tugged Ruby off the plane as she stumbled over her feet. It was warm, the blindfold doing nothing to mask the extreme sun that filtered in.
"What--"
"Shut up."
Ruby huffed, crossing her arms despite the tight hold Rafe kept on her bicep.
He pushed her into the backseat of a car, not sliding in beside her but instead getting into the front seat. There was a soft noise, like lips on a cheek, and a murmured greeting. The fuck?
"Ruby," Rafe said, sounding ten times more relaxed. "I've got a question for you."
Ruby didn't say anything, opting instead to lean her head back against the seat with a huge sigh.
"Answer it, or I'll chain you up like I did JJ."
"Fine."
"Where is my father?"
"I don't know, and I don't fucking care."
"Ruby--" She heard Rafe start to tense and then sigh. "Baby, please, just tell me where he is. I won't be mad. I'll even... take it easy on you."
"Bullshit," Ruby sneered, kicking his seat. "And I'm not your baby."
"You know whose baby you are? JJ's. Do you want him dead?"
"He's dating fucking Kiara, so, whatever, I don't give a shit."
🫢 she’s lying tho. Ofc she cares about JJ still, she won’t give up on him that easily, ever.
"Blood makes you
related.
But loyalty makes you
family"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The youngest lets his cigarette fall, stepping on it to turn it off as the last of the trio finally arrives, rushing towards the car parked outside his place as his arms wave in the air in greeting. Classic Channie.
It's chilly outside, some wind messing up the boy's curls as he apologizes, out of breath, explaining something about his toad and how it attempted to escape its enclosure again as the group finally settles inside the car to begin their small trip. It's not late, not early either. Just in time, Chan would say.
The blonde sits behind the wheel as usual, knowing the road to their special place by heart. Chris next to him, head leaning against the window, slight smile on his face as he stares at the world go by. And Channie, of course, sprawled in the backseat, takes over the stereo–. The way out of town filled with K-pop and bad singing bouncing off the windows.
It's been a while since they've last been here. Usually, they come for their birthdays, but the last few years have been messy. Or different? Channie shifts right away, speeding down the path on the forest as the other two follow behind, walking peacefully. It's been a while, but each time remains unique. Unforgettable.
They talk a lot at the cabin, sitting on the ran down porch as night creeps up on them, sharing a meal inside as the air grows cold. They talk a lot as time slips by, and suddenly, hours are lost to the memories, news, hopes, and dreams. Lost to the laughs, the cheers, and the tears. They don't get to do this anymore–. They don't get to just disappear for the night, not existing for a day before going back to their lives. They don't get to be quiet or be together as much. And so it's times like this, when they get to allow each other a minute, that they remember.
Blood makes you related, but family isn't always about blood. Sometimes, you just recognize someone. It is the people standing beside you when no one else is, the people you confide in when the world falls and breaks at your feet. It is the people you don't have to hide from, that takes you under their wing and protects you no matter what wrong you do. It is the people who hold you accountable without breaking you down, who teaches you a better way without having to, who celebrates your wins with you, and supports you through your losses. Family is not the last name you're born into, neither the people you choose to surround yourself with. But it is those you can be free with. Those you place trust and love on.
Blood makes you related, but it is loyalty that makes you family.
Chan's the last one to arrive at his place, having dropped off the others first to make sure they went back home safe. Channie sends a selfie minutes later, his boyfriend woken up abruptly as the younger laid on top of him upon arrival. Chris is dropped off next, the lights on his place lighting up before he even hops off the car, his girl waiting for him as she always does when he's out late.
The wolf smiles as he walks into his home, the soft scent of his little fox filling up the air as he finds her asleep on the couch. He told her not to wait for him awake, but who is he to stop her from doing so?
As the three lay in bed, finally ready to get some rest, a message comes in on the group chat, two phones ringing through the silence with unexpected news.
"I'm engaged."
week 6: when the doubts creep in
prompt from the off-season winter sport fandom challenge
length: 1508 words
pairing: Gino Caviezel/Marco Odermatt
author's note: trying to make up for missing last week by adding the hint of a road trip but at the same time bending and breaking this weeks prompt again because writing is really hard on me atm
Justin didn't bother getting out of the car and to ring at Marco's door, he just honked three times, loud enough to wake up the entire neighborhood. Marco came hurrying out and down the last couple of stairs before either Justin or Thomas could get out of the car.
“You're late!,” he greeted them.
“And you're early, we're usually the ones left waiting.” Justin took Marco's bag and stowed with the rest of the luggage in the back of his car. After the suit bag was placed securely on the top, Marco and Justin hugged briefly. They hadn't seen each other in quite some time, Marco had been too tied up with work and hadn't found a chance to make it to Mauro's bachelor party so now the excitement for the actual wedding was even bigger. Marco climbed in the backseat.
Thomas acclaimed him with a “took you way too long” and Marco scoffed but gave him an affectionate pat to the shoulder. Justin went flat out and they shot down Marco's street, through the village and back on the highway within the least amount of time possible.
“As much as I'm concerned about us being late, I do fancy arriving at the venue in one piece so would you please not kill us?” Thomas asked. He had his hand clenched around the handle above his head.
“We're late,” Justin said, not even pretending to slow down. Oh, how much he'd missed them, Marco thought and laughed to himself. They told him all the fun stories about the party, most of them involving a drunk Justin and for some reasons Marco didn't quite catch, a pineapple-incident. He made a mental note to ask Gino about it later today. As for now, Marco was just very glad to be back around his teammates. The past weeks had been unusually busy, probably thanks to his very successful season. Everyone and their grandparents had wanted something from Marco and Zoé had done the most amazing job with coordinating the association's meetings around his private appointments.
“So, are you gonna do it?,” Justin eventually asked. He looked at Marco through the rearview mirror. Marco hesitated for a second, which was one way to answer.
“No,” he then added with a sigh. Thomas turned around in disbelieve. “You're breaking up with him?”
“Of course not, are you out of your mind?! I just don't want to pull all the attention on us. It's Mauro's wedding, it's really not my place to spoil it for either of them.”
“Yeah, Justin's gonna do that all by himself if he gets himself drunk again.” Thomas' comment earned him a punch from Justin.
The rest of the drive went by rather eventless. The serpentine streets guided them upwards, in and out of the forest, to the top where the view suddenly extended again and the clear blue sky welcomed them. It was all thanks to Justin’s insanity they made it in time, with the last guests still standing outside the chapel, about to get seated, when he basically threw the car to the side of the street and they all jumped out.
“Thank goodness,” Gino breathed as he spotted his friends. He was standing next to the entry so he could give a sign to the head of the band when it was time to start the music. Many people came so it took Justin and Thomas a bit longer than necessary to squeeze past friends and family members, earning one or two stern looks but the smiles and whispered “hello, great to see you” prevailed. Meanwhile Marco had allowed himself an extra minute to kiss Gino quickly. The older one had forgotten all about his anger and frustration and felt himself relaxing against Marco’s touch.
“You look amazing,” he said and Marco felt his heart stumble in his chest and his cheeks turning red. Even after so many years, it had never needed more effort from Gino than that to make Marco flush, a fact that probably wouldn’t be changing anytime soon.
Gino went to take his position next to Mauro just as the music began. Nina, Mauro’s soon-to-be wife, entered the chapel, looking as beautiful as never before. Mauro clutched his chest. It was hard to decide whether he should laugh or cry out of pure luck. Marco met Gino’s eyes and they both shared an equally affectionate smile. Had it been the right decision to leave the velvet box at home? Gino was the love of his life, no doubts creeping in there. But what if this was the last chance Marco got? The longer he waited, the more Gino might start to hesitate? It was Thomas who helped Marco out of the down pull of his spiraling thoughts. He leaned over and whispered: “You can still ask him, even without the ring.” At first, Marco didn’t react. He kept watching the ceremony. Mauro was taking his vows, stating how much he loved Nina, not just for who she was but also what she had done to him. There was more than one person in the audience who was reaching for their tissues. Marco refused to look up from his shoelaces. The days Mauro was referring to had been long and insufferable. The fact that Mauro had overcome this hell on earth with more positives than he had entered it with was a miracle. For a moment, the only thing audible was the rustling of hankies and people sniffling here and there. Then the first notes of a well-known Swiss pop song chimed up and by that time, even the people who hadn’t lost it completely yet, did so now.
The wedding and the reception were followed by a delicious open-air dinner on the Caviezel-estate. A couple of gazebos had been drawn up on the lawn, all surrounding a hardwood dance floor that was encircled by lanterns and flower décor, giving the whole setting a wonderful relaxed vibe. The band was playing danceable songs, those not dancing enjoyed a good talk along with a fine glass of wine. To wrap it up: it was a perfect night for the perfect wedding. Mauro and Nina were the center of attention on the dance floor. She had taken off her high heels a while ago already and now she was swinging in Mauro’s arms, with her head against his chest. It was obvious to everyone and their grandmother that those two had found their missing piece.
The guys were sitting at their table when Gino joined them. His day had been a lot busier than he had expected and so this was probably the first time he got to sit down properly. Underneath the exhaustion, he was happy though. He smiled at Marco as he poured him a glass of water and accepted it along with the soft kiss Marco placed on his cheek.
“Hey Justin, let’s go check out the photobooth,” Thomas quickly said and got up. Justin protested. “What? No, I only just sat down again, have you even tried the cake, it’s really good!” He stretched out his plate under Thomas’ nose who just motioned in Gino’s and Marco’s direction to make him understand the hint. “Yeah, the photobooth looks fun indeed,” he grumbled, leaving his second serving of dessert behind with a sad look. Neither Gino nor Marco had taken much notice of the conversation.
“I love Mauro but I’m seriously not sad about this day being over.,” Gino eventually sighed.
“Does that mean you don’t want a big party then once you get married?”
“Certainly not as big as this one. I don’t need a hundred guests in our front lawn.” Hearing Gino talk about their front lawn as if it was obvious enough they had already agreed on getting married was the last bit of certainty it took for Marco to do it. “Here goes nothing then,” he whispered and got up from his chair and down on one knee. He took Gino’s hand.
“I love you, Gino. I really do and although I can’t say a lot more about how much I love you without tearing up again, I want you to know that I don’t want to spend my life without you by my side anymore. So, I’m asking you: Will you do me the honor and marry me?”
This time, it was Gino who couldn’t decide between laughing and crying. The big lump in his throat prevented him from speaking so he just pulled out a little box from his pocket and presented its containments to Marco: A simple yet gorgeous ring. Marco just stared at it, giving Gino the chance to find his speech again. “I wasn’t sure if you’d ever ask. Yes, yes of course I want to marry you.” Gino pulled Marco to kiss him, both their faces covered in tears but the joy radiating off their bodies for everyone to see. They didn’t hear the people cheering and applauding, especially Gino’s brother and his sister-in-law. The most perfect end to a perfect day.
trip with nat <3 (fem!reader x natasha romanoff, fluff, slight angst towards the end maybe? not sure tho)
sumarry: nat feels stressed out from her missions lately and can't sleep because of it, reader wants to help her and suggest a trip
A/N: this is a longer one. anyway i think it turned out pretty well, i really like this one and i hope you will too. requests are welcomed and feedback appreciated <3 enjoy
Tumblr media
natasha and i thought it would be a good idea to take a trip and spend some time somewhere else than our home or the avengers base. we packed only the most important things we couldn't go without like toothbrushes, some clean underwear and money. natasha took her favorite bomber jacket in a bag. she was wearing a black leather jacket and she knew damn well that i'll steal it from her at some point even though i was already wearing her favorite hoodie. we packed two peanut butter sandwiches, put it in the bag too and threw the bag on the backseat of our car. natasha was driving, one of her hands on my thigh, the other on the wheel. we were both quiet, enjoying each other's presence in silence, only to the sound of radio at a low volume.
"thank you for doing this. i needed a break." she said suddenly. the whole thing was my idea, knowing natasha was stressed about all the missions lately and couldn't sleep well because she felt the need to be ready if anything happened. to get her away from all that, trying to make her feel better and help her relax, i recommended that we should get away from here and she agreed immediately, the next morning we went. natasha was in for everything. when it came to spending time with her loved ones (or saving them) she was down for any idea.
"of course, nat." i placed my hand on top of hers and smiled, getting lost in her eyes even though they were focused on the road. she was chewing a gum, her face was relaxed. her hair was tied back into a braid. i sank deeper into the seat. i was so in love with the woman. i smiled to myself at the thought of her being all mine. i even chuckled quietly, looking down to our hands as i played with the ring on her ring finger - it was a ring i gave her one day because it reminded me of her. she never took it off eversince.
"what's up?" she rasped softly, smiling, only glancing at me by the corner of her eyes for a second. she was overly careful when she was driving with me in the car.
"uh, it's nothing." i said, looking back up at her.
"oh?" she glanced at me for a moment, but brought her eyes back to the road right after. she was smiling. she didn't know why, she was smiling because she was happy i was smiling. she had no idea what i was smiling about.
"it's just- i'm so lucky." i mumbled, knowing she'll deny that i'm lucky because i have her. she stood by her own thought that i deserve the whole world, that i deserve the best, which, in her opinion, wasn't herself. in my eyes though, she was the whole world and i felt like i didn't deserve any part of it. not even a small part of it such as a small rock from the ground or, in this case a one glance from her or even breathing the air around her.
she rolled her eyes playfully and shook her head.
soon enough, we stopped at a hotel somewhere. we booked ourselves in so we could have a place to spend the night. but since it was only around lunchtime, we put the bag on the king sized bed, took our sandwiches and went to look for a nice place to have our lunch at. i walked around the city with natasha's arm around my shoulders, our fingers interlocked as my hand was bent in the elbow towards my shoulder so i could reach her. her soft kisses on my face, in my hair, everywhere, just enjoying and celebrating the fact i'm all hers.
"careful, tasha, they might know you as a deadly assassin." i joked, making the redhead playfully shaking her head in response.
"quiet, детка (detka), enjoy the attention while you've got it." she teased, smiling widely.
"damn you, tash." i leaned in to kiss her cheek, but the russian saw it coming and turned her head so i'd meet her lips instead of the soft skin. i was taken by surprise when i tasted the chapstick and felt her tongue parting my lips to get it. we stopped walking and we could hear the people behind us complaining, whispering about us or even making sounds of disgust.
natasha took her arm down from my shoulder but took my hand back in hers, caressing my knuckle with her thumb.
"cmon i know a place." she whispered into my ear, glancing into my eyes quickly, checking if i'm ready to run with her. she nodded forwards, and slowly began running. i understood right away and run with her, still holding hands. she took me to a park with a small gazebo. we ran to the gazebo, sitting down to the bench.
"how do you know this place?" i asked as natasha handed me one of the sandwiches since she had them both in her pocket the whole time.
"uh. google." she confessed and i laughed at her, wondering what she searched up to find it. when we finished our lunch, we explored the city and visited a few shops until the sun went down.
"let me take you out for a dinner." natasha said as we left one of the shopping centers and pushed me against its wall gently.
"alright. but let's stop at our hotel room real quick." i placed a quick kiss on the tip of her nose. she smiled and grabbed my hand, leading us the way to our hotel. when we entered the room, i took a black dress from the bag. i went to the bathroom to change and when i came back, i saw nat with a white button up shirt tucked in her black pants. the first two buttons from the top weren't connected, showing her perfect golden skin and a silver necklace with a tiny heart outline hanging over her collar bones.
"damn." i cursed under my breath, looking her up slowly. guess the both of us didn't only take the important things.
"like it?" she smiled, waiting for me to look into her eyes.
"you look...you're breathtaking." i said, placing my hand on her shoulder, pulling her in for a kiss, feeling the weight of her hand slowly falling on my waist.
"you know you look pretty stunning yourself." she whispered as we stood there, foreheads connected, hands all over one another, just enjoying our time together.
i blushed at her comment, remembering how tight the dress was, revealing the shape of my figure, silver earrings hanging from my ears. natasha held out her hand in the air, waiting for me to hold her. my fingers were decorated with a few silver sings, while natasha only wore the one i once got her.
"are you sure you wanna go into public like this? people might want to steal you from me." i chuckled, pulling aways so i could look at her one more time. natasha chuckled at my words, kissing my cheek gently.
"they may want to, but they won't. i'm only yours." she smiled and picked me up by my waist.
"all mine." i whispered, running my fingers down her cheek, not being able to believe my own words. natasha smiled and pulled me into a kiss. deep. hungry. beautiful kiss. heaven-like.
we found a restaurant nearby. we waited a few minutes for the waiter. once he came, he was slightly panicking, not sure whether it's because he got to serve the famous black widow or simply by her outfit. she wore no bra and the waiter took an advantage of that, trying to get a cleared view somehow. i told him what i'd like to order but he didn't quite listen, staring at my girlfriend.
"i'm sorry am i distracting you?" she said suddenly, anger and disgust filling her voice and held out my hand on the table.
"no, of course not. pardon me. could you repeat your order, please?" he gave his attention to me. natasha and i both ordered some food for dinner, nat took care of the drinks. she ordered the best wine they had, to celebrate our wonderful time spent together. when the waiter left, we both started laughing.
he brought us our food later but he barely look at tasha this time. he probably knew he wouldn't be able to get his eyes off, which i totally understood cause i had that problem myself.
we finished our food, paid for it and left.
"i don't wanna go to sleep yet. ooh, i've got a nice idea. we can go to a club or something, i wanna dance." she said, grabbing my hand excitedly.
"i don't really feel like socializing tonight, sorry. could be rather go tomorrow?" i confessed carefully, trying not to disappoint her.
"oh no that's completely okay." she smiled, leaning in to kiss my cheek. "let's take a picture since we look this nice." she suggested, about to pull her phone from her back pocket.
"i've got a better idea, nat." i said as i grabbed her hand to stop her from taking the phone. i got her adorable confused facial expression for a response, making me chuckle and my eyes softened at the sight of her.
"we could go to that little photobooth that's usually at shopping centers." i said, capturing her lips softly with mine. natasha agreed, took me by the hand and we ran to the shopping center near us.
we took pictures. there were four of them: on the top one we were making silly faces, the second from the top was a picture of us kissing, the third was tasha giving me a kiss on cheek while i was smiling and the last is just her and i looking at each other, laughing which we did on accident but it ended up well.
we only got one stripe of pictures but we were planning on making a copy when we got back home so each of us could have one copy of their own.
"you know we're actually pretty fucking cute together." tasha laughed, pressing a kiss into my cheek.
"yeah, we really are." i agreed, turning my head to gaze into her eyes. i couldn't look away for a while, her eyes were mesmerizing.
"are you tired?" she asked, looking at the ground, locking her arm into mine.
"not really, but maybe we should get back to our apartment already." i said. nat didn't say anything to that, we just went.
we arrived to the hotel and tasha waa about to change. i took her hand and pulled it away from the buttons on her shirt to stop her from taking it off.
"you wanted to dance." her eyes met mine and i noticed the way they softened. her lips curved into a small smile and her eyes kept exploring mine. her smile was slowly getting bigger and natasha got shy. she looked at the ground to hide her smirk away from me.
"you're the best." she said, taking my hands in hers, looking back up at me, showing me her wide smile, making me smile too. i reached out to natasha's phone since we only took hers in case of emergency and played a playlist with songs to slow dance from my spotify.
we danced, laughed, kissed, fell a couple of times because our legs got tangled up. we had a lot of fun and natasha seemed genuinely happy and relaxed and i loved to see her like that.
when we were finished, she pressed her forehead against mine, holding both of my hands. her eyes were closed, enjoying the feeling of my skin against hers. i was looking at her relaxed expression for a while, then i closed my eyes aswell.
we stayed that way for a while, i waited until she pulled away first.
"hey thank you for doing this." she said, smiling softly.
i didn't reply since there's wasn't much to say.
i went to take a shower and when i came back from the bathroom i saw nat laying on her back in the bed.
"c'mere. let's cuddle." she reached out her arms to me.
"you're going to sleep in this?" i asked, referring to her unchanged outfit.
"yeah i'm too lazy to move." she groaned.
i rolled my eyes playfully and help her sit up on the bed.
"hands up." i tapped her shoulders and she did as i said. i pulled the shirt over her head and threw it on the bed. we were used to being naked with each other, we often took showers or baths together, so this moment wasn't awkward for us at all. but her body, her golden, smooth skin, i would never get tired of seeing that. i ran my fingers over her collar bone and kissed her cheek. natasha watched every movement i made. i took her hoodie from the bag and pulled it over her head. i moved down to unbutton her pants and pulled it down her legs. when she was changed i turn off the lights and laid down next to her. she was laying on her bed and pulled me in. she loved to cuddle. she wrapped her arms around my head, pulled me close to her chest and kissed the top of my head.
"i love you so so much." she whispered into the silence of the room.
"i love you more." i mumbled into her arms.
moments later i fell asleep but i woke up a while later. i glanced at my girlfriend and noticed she's still awake. it was around two am and she hasn't slept for weeks now.
"natasha." i mumbled sleepily, getting up on my elbow to face her. she glanced back at me, she was obviously tired. her eyelids were falling down but she didn't let them.
"natasha go to sleep." i whispered, hiding my face in the crook of her neck.
"i wish i could. it's okay though, i'm okay." she whispered. her voice was exhausted.
"can't sleep, huh? you okay?" i got back up to look at her.
"well i just always expect something to go wrong. i guess i'm just too anxious of my job lately and i need to be ready in case someone attacked us. it's haunting me." she confessed.
"but you're safe here. i'm here, i'll protect you. you need to sleep, nat. you haven't properly slept in what: three weeks now?"
"i know but it's not that easy. throughout my life i've lost everyone close to me. i guess it's affected me and all the time i fear i might lose you, too. and if i did, i'd never get over it. you know, i would pretend i'm okay but i'd never be completely okay. a part of me would forever be missing you and blaming myself."
"natty but you don't have to. i'm right here. i'm okay, i'm safe. and so are you. no need to worry, darling. i promise."
there was a moment of silence, she let my words sink in and thought about them.
"come with me, i'll make you a bath. it might help you relax a little." i said, tugging on her arm.
"котенок (kotenok) you really don't have to take care of me." she said, letting me help her stand up.
"well, tash, you deserve to be taken care of. and also i want to." i said, leading her to the bathroom.
she took her clothes off while i ran her a bath. she laid down in the bathtub and i saw her muscles relax.
"i'll be right back." i said, kissing her forehead gently.
i left the bathroom and went to the kitchen cabinet. i found a box with last two teabags in it and took one of them while i boiled water. i poured it in, waited for it to be done and headed back to the bathroom.
"do you want me to join you?" i asked gently as i handed her the cup of warm tea.
"yeah, if you don't mind." she mumbled, opened her eyes slightly to watch me undress and took the tea from my hand, taking a sip. she placed it on the edge of the tub and sat up so i could get behind her and she could lay in between my legs on my chest. i caressed and massaged her shoulders and soon i could feel her body fall asleep.
i covered her face, neck and collar bones with kisses and carefully slipping from under her sleeping body so i could spread a towel on the bed. i went back to the bathroom, carefully and gently picking her up, placing her on the prepared towel on the bed. i took another towel and softly dried her up, putting back her panties and the hoodie she was wearing before. i then tucked her in the bed, pulling the covers over her and went to the bathroom to clean it up. then i came back to her and laid down next to her, pulling her in my arms so i could have her closer. soon enough i was asleep.
Road Trip!
Just for fun! A random prompt that I found on Twitter lmao, and I thought, 'let's try it with the pgr's boys'
And also to distract me from my never-ending works
First, I'm not good at writing and English is not my primary language. And also you may find some character seems ooc, so forgive me! 😖 I just wanna having fun lol
Watanabe
The one who drive no questions
But sometimes he will switch with Chrome to rest a bit
Yells at others to use the seatbelt multiple times
But got ignored all the time
Doesn't really get road rage; at the most he will just clicked his tongue and will pass the cars that are going "too slow" for his liking
Will put his coat on you when you fell asleep
Won't let anyone beside Chrome to switch with him, the reason?
Kamui: the last time he did it, they almost crash the roadblock because he got distracted by a wild deer
Lee: you know it
Camu: *distant yelling and Deja Vu playing in the background*
Banji: he will definitely fall asleep in the middle of his turns
He snores during his rest, but if anyone pointed that out, he will deny it
Until Camu give him the recording
After that Watanabe refuses to sleep even when you begging him to take some rest
Eating mint gum every 10 minutes
"Watanabe, how many gums do you have with you?"
"Enough until this trip is over."
"But our trip is 2 weeks long?"
"Exactly"
Sigh a lot during the journey
He almost regret everything now
Save him please
Chrome
Claiming shotgun (so he can switch with Watanabe easily)
The one in charge with the snacks ,(Yes, I'm looking at you, Camu)
The only level-headed person in the van
In charge with the radio station
Will straight up choosing a classical music station (if there's one, idk)
Slap Kamui's hand when he tried to change the station to a more lively one "Kamui stop-"
A softie for you
If you ask for more snacks, he will reluctantly give you more
Will pointed some wild animals he spots and secretly took photos and send them to his father
Light sleeper. Even when you stare at him, he will suddenly be very awake.
One time Kamui tried pulling a prank by doodling on his sleeping face
Chrome suddenly jerk awake and scared the hell out of Kamui
Will keep an eye for everyone, especially Kamui & Camu
"Kamui, be careful! Don't stick your body out of the window!"
"Camu stop encouraging him!
"DON'T GO THROWING YOUR TRASH OUTSIDE!!!"
Save him please #2
Kamui
Sit in the middle row with Lee and you inbetween to separate them
You think his normal voice is already too loud? Wait until he starts bickering with Lee about ANYTHING
Bless your ears
Telling Watanabe or Chrome to stop for a while so he can pet some wild animals they found on the way
"Kamui, that's a bear-"
"So what? It looks like it need a hug-
"STOP! It will attack you!"
"Let him be. One less passenger, the better."
Will post a selfie or short videos and posting it on his social media
When you fall asleep, he strangely didn't speak at all. He instead made a shushing gesture whenever someone ask him something
Snoring so loud you need to borrow one of Banji's noise cancelers.
Lee tried to stuff his mouth with a cloth to muffle his loud snoring
Pull out his gaming console when he's bored. He brings two of his consoles so he can play together with you, making Lee lowkey jealous annoyed
Lee
Backseat driver just because he will told Watanabe or Chrome that they're going to the wrong way
Will bicker with Kamui
Probably trying to show off to Kamui (mainly YOU) by stating random facts about the landscape from wikipedia
If Kamui finds out he's just trying to impress you, he will deny it with pink cheeks and stop talking
Liked to open the window, until a bug flying in and he nearly screamed
Will compete with mama chrome to remind you to drink water (gotta stay hydrated, people)
"Here's water."
"Lee, Chrome just gave me some earlier…"
"It was long ago. Stay hydrated, it's pretty hot out there."
"IT WAS 5 MINUTES AGO!"
If Camu annoys him, he will throw the plastic bottle to the back
Also a light sleeper. But not as bad as Chrome though. He will just grumbled or mumbling when you're whispering with anyone
A grumpy boy when someone wake him
Camu
Lost at the rock paper scissors with Kamui & Lee so he abandoned on the back with Banji
Doesn't use the seatbelt even after Watanabe screamed at him
He's a rebellious man, leave him be Watanabe
Will annoyed the hell out of Lee and Kamui (like blowing their ears or purposely using his earphones with maximum volume near them)
Leaned forward so he can chat with you
He and Banji sometimes forgotten there when either Lee and Kamui forget (read: purposely) to lifts the seats
Steal Kamui's snacks
When he get bored, he will put his headset and listen to some hard rock songs
If Lee annoys him, he will put the headset near Lee's head and turn the volume to max
Heavy sleeper, like, even when there's storm and lightning outside, he won't even twitch
He has his own snacks that he bought at gas station without Chrome noticing
Got along with Banji really well (mainly because Banji sleep all the time and gave him one of his comfy pillow & blanket)
Banji
This mf sleep all the way
Put the headset, use his eye mask, and no one can disturb him
Even when he hits his head during the bumpy road
He choose the back seat so he can sleep peacefully
The only time he awake is when he need to use the bathroom
But sometimes at terrible timing
"Hey, are we near the rest area yet?"
"What? No-"
"I need to use the bathroom"
"BUT WE JUST LEAVE THE LAST REST AREA 10 MINUTES AGO!"
His and Camu's seat is full of comfy cushion, blanket, and snacks that Camu steals from Kamui
"Why'd you bring so many pillows?"
"Just in case of emergency"
"?????"
Strangely, he has everything that you'd need during the trip
Need a tissue? Here you go. Had motion sickness? Here some medicine. Want some gummies? He will sneaked a pack without Chrome noticing
Also doesn't use the seatbelt
He sometimes kick the middle seat when Kamui is too noisy
Once Watanabe saw a pair of leg from the back seat and he yelled at Banji to sit properly
Will use Camu's lap as a pillow without hesitation
Could you do a kuzuryu x kuyuuma(aib)
Or hyukhyun(sweethome) fluff
God, this ask has been sitting in my inbox forever, simply because I'm not really a fan of fluff, especially writing it. But thanks to @hatterstan-shameblog the topic of a sweet home crew road trip came up in one of our conversations and I had to write it out. This one is shorter because I have two other sweet home requests and I want to make it a 3 part series, each part from a different person's perspective (depending on the request.)
--
If you don't know where you're going..
Fandom: Sweet Home
Pairing: none
Summary: The Green Home residents take a road trip. That's it, that's the plot.
Word count: 420
Warnings: none but keep in mind this is a universe where everyone survived
--
"Oh come on, Eun-hyuk! Why are you being so grumpy, huh? Is it because you can't drive?"
"It's not that I can't drive, it's that you guys won't let me drive." Eun-hyuk replied, trying his best to ignore Hyun-soo's teasing. He waited all week for this road trip, only to get stuck in the backseat with the younger boy. Apparently mistaking the gas pedal for brakes just one time will get you banned from driving for a lifetime. The man sighed, remembering the accident. They were all asleep anyway, he didn't see why make such a big deal out of it. Oh well.
"Ooh, how hard can it be?" Hyun-soo didn't stop the mocking there. "I bet I would be better at it than you! And I've never even been behind a steering wheel. I guess even you can't be good at everything, can you?"
The older man didn't reply at first, he just stared at his friend with a blank expression. "Cute." he finally spoke, a shadow of a smile appearing on his face.
"Huh? What do you mean by that?"
"It's cute how hard you're trying to impress my sister. Unfortunately I don't think she's that interested in cars."
Despite pretending they weren't listening to the banter in the back, everyone in the car couldn't help but laugh at the comeback. Hyun-soo's feelings for Eun-yoo weren't exactly a secret afterall. Fortunately for him, the girl in question was wearing headphones and didn't seem to hear her brother's words. At least that's what he was hoping for.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about!" he stuttered, "I'm not trying to impress anyone!"
Eun-hyuk didn't answer, suddenly very intrigued by the view outside the car window.
"Hey! I'm talking to you! I don't know what you're thinking but-"
He didn't have the chance to finish the sentence before he felt his older friend's hand on his shoulder. When he turned around, he saw Eun-hyuk looking him directly in the eyes.
"It's okay." he said, keeping quiet so only Hyun-soo could hear him. "Her happiness is what matters the most. And I've never seen her as happy as when she's with you."
Hyun-soo averted his gaze, flustered by his friend's words. It made him happy to know Eun-hyuk wasn't mad at him, it made him even happier to know he actually supported them. Overwhelmed, he didn't really know what to say, so he stayed quiet.
He didn't have to say anything. Eun-hyuk lightly punched his arm. "So don't mess this up!"
Music, you, and the open road
"You really won't tell me where we're going?" Dean asks as he puts their duffle bags in the trunk.
"Nope," Castiel says, letting the p pop.
Dean shakes his head and laughs. "When I said people celebrate anniversaries, I didn't expect you to take the wheel and plan a get-away without any input from my side," he chuckles.
Castiel smirks. "That's because I don't need any. I held your very soul in my hands, Dean. I know what you need and long for."
Dean scoffs. "You weren't sure if I loved you back just a year ago."
Castiel chuckles. "Oh, I knew it then. I could see it in your eyes before the Empty took me, love."
"And why did it take us a whole day to kiss after we pulled you out?"
"Because your lovely brother is—what do the young ones call it?"
"A cockblocker," Dean says over Baby's roof.
"Exactly. Even though…" Castiel trails off with a cocked eyebrow, making Dean laugh. He sinks in the seat behind the wheel and waits until Castiel joins him.
"You'll have to tell me which road to take, at least."
Castiel pulls out a satnav and puts it on Baby's dashboard before his boyfriend can so much as protest. "I won't read a map for you, Dean. I want the road trip to be part of our vacation."
Dean rolls his eyes. "You're lucky that you're cute. And good in bed."
Castiel laughs out loud. "I love you, too."
***
Dean wouldn't admit it out loud, but the satnav is kinda cool. No detours, no road turning. Instead, he can enjoy the road and the beautiful angel next to him.
Their hands lie intertwined between them on the front seat, and it's nice, oh-so-nice. They aren't out on the road to a case or to save the world. It's just him, Baby, the road, and the love of his life in the passenger seat. No matter where Castiel is planning to take him, it's already the best road trip ever.
He knows it's a three-day journey each way and that they'll stay for about a week at the mysterious place. They're driving west, but these are the only clues.
Castiel must have fed the satnav more scenic routes. Dean doubts that it would lead them over the countryside, especially through parts that are still beautiful this time of the year.
They don't talk much. Why would they? They listen to the familiar music, watch towns and forests fly by. Now and then, Dean pulls over at a beautiful place, kisses Castiel in the car or pressed against it, takes selfies that they send to Sam and Eileen, Jody and the kids, and other friends.
They are all so happy for them, and Dean wants to share his own happiness, wants to keep it in photographs and colourful memories. He doesn't care if it's cheesy or chick-flicky. There are many things he doesn't care about anymore. He has done his bit. Now, he wants to live a life like normal people do, like those he protected from the monsters and God himself.
They arrive at their first accommodation after nightfall. It's a cute little B&B with flowery curtains, floral comforters, and rosy soap in the bathroom. Dean loves it. Loves the crisp bed sheets and the taste of Castiel on his lips before he slides into sleep.
The next morning, they have a lovely breakfast and a walk around a small lake before they hit the road again.
Castiel pushes out the cassette from the player, and Dean launches into reminding his boyfriend who is supposed to choose the music when his face suddenly softens, and tears well up in his eyes.
"You still have it?" he asks, voice wavering a bit.
Castiel shrugs. "You said that it was a gift, and that one keeps those."
Dean stops in the driveway of the B&B and pulls Castiel into a kiss. "God, I love you, man."
Castiel snickers against his lips. "Be careful. Not that Jack pops up on the backseat. I'm not planning to share you with anybody in the next two weeks." Dean only kisses him harder for that.
***
"A cabin in the woods? That's how all good horror movies start," Dean states with a raised eyebrow.
"I checked in with the local hunters. Nothing supernatural is going on in this forest," Castiel states matter-of-factly.
"You really took care of everything, didn't you?"
Castiel pulls his shoulders up to his ears and grins. "I tried. This cabin belongs to a hunter. Everything is warded."
Dean chuckles and shakes his head. "Maybe we should buy one, too. Or a little house."
Castiel smiles at him lopsidedly. "I'd love that." Dean's heart nearly beats out of his chest.
***
The next morning, Castiel pushes a tiny package over the breakfast table. "Happy anniversary, Dean."
Dean runs the back of his hand over his mouth and takes the gift with careful fingers. He pulls the ribbon from the strangely packed item.
"I wrapped it all by myself," Castiel says proudly.
"I can see that," Dean chuckles. "Thank you, sweetheart." He means it. Dean hasn't gotten many presents in his life. And even though Castiel used way too much friggin' tape, it's already in his top five.
Dean's mouth falls open when he fishes an unfamiliar mixtape from the wrapper. "Did you make that?" he asks, studying it carefully.
Castiel nods. "I had to watch a few YouTube tutorials, and it wasn't easy to get all the records to put it together, but I hope you like it?" Castiel looks so unsure all of a sudden, and Dean wishes he could put into words what this thoughtful gift stirs up in his soul.
"Like it?" Dean asks, scanning the tracklist written in tiny letters. "I love it. I…" He runs out of words, too many emotions washing through his body.
He gets up from his chair, pulls Castiel off his, and into a breathtaking kiss. They start their journey a good hour later than originally planned.
***
Their final destination isn't really a secret now. They are close to the ocean, and Dean's body vibrates with anticipation. It may not be the season for tropical cocktails and Hawaiian shirts, but it's the first time in his life he has a beach within reach. He'll put his feet into the sand, even if his toes freeze off. He doesn't care.
The satnav leads them down a winding one-track road. The wind blows sharply, moving the vegetation in spooky ways. Dean can feel his body tense in concentration. Old habits die hard. Still, he tries to take deep breaths and to calm down. Castiel surely checked this location just like the others they stayed at. And not all shadows hold monsters. It's something Dean still has to learn.
They stop at the end of the track, no sign of civilisation visible. Dean lets out an annoyed groan and swats the satnav off the dashboard. "See, that's why I hate these things. They lead you to nowhere."
"No," Castiel replies, carefully picking up the device. "We're right where we're supposed to be." Dean raises a questioning eyebrow. "Let's get the flashlight out of the trunk, and I'll show you," Castiel sugests.
Dean quirks his lips. "Um, I might have taken that out when we cleaned the car of hunting stuff. Sorry."
Castiel chuckles. "No problem, love. Come on." He gets out of the car and fetches their bags from the trunk. He turns around when Dean doesn't follow him. "Do you want to sleep in the car, Dean?" he calls, standing in the beam of the headlights.
Dean pushes his door open. "It'll be pitch-black when I switch off the lights. We both will break our ankles, and I'll probably fall to my death. Is that really worth trying to prove a point?"
Castiel huffs a laugh and shakes his head in amusement. To both their luck, he loves grumpy Dean. "Do you trust me?"
Dean works his jaw and breathes a sigh. "Yeah," he murmurs and pulls the car key. As predicted, darkness falls around them, the thin crescent moon not strong enough to see more than obscure silhouettes.
"Close the door, Dean," Castiel says in the darkness.
"This was a perfect trip until now," Dean mumbles and walks where he more feels than sees Castiel's presence.
"Give me a kiss, love," his boyfriend orders, clearly amused.
Dean doesn't want to be a spoilsport, so he does, missing his mouth only twice. The moment their lips lock, Castiel lights up, dipping them both in a soft glow.
"Sonofabitch," Dean presses out when he opens his eyes again.
"I have no mother, Dean. I'm an angel."
Dean chuckles. "And you glow like a firefly."
"The wonders of creation. Follow me," Castiel snickers.
They walk down a footpath, Dean on Castiel's glowing heels. It doesn't take long until they pass the last trees and step out on a cliff.
"It's only a ten-minute walk down to the beach," Castiel explains. "Do you like it?" He sounds as if he's smiling. Not that Dean would know. His eyes are still struggling with adapting to the night. Though the stars in the sky look nice from here. He'll give him that.
Dean huffs a laugh. The faint moonlight barely illuminates the waves beneath, indicating that, indeed, they are at the coast. "You may have your superangel powers, but I'm just a human and can't see much," he finally answers.
"Oh, of course. Sorry. Wait a second."
Castiel scrambles forward into the darkness. His light doesn't reveal much. There seems to be some kind of building. Spots of it come into focus as Castiel is looking for something. Dean needs to close his eyes against the sudden brightness when Castiel finally finds a light switch.
"Cass!" Dean breathes when his eyes adapt to the light, at last. "That's…"
Castiel bobs on his feet on a front porch in the middle of nowhere. "It has a veranda and a sunroom," he explains excitedly as he puts the key into the front door. "Oh, and a jacuzzi. Eileen said we should definitely use it." He waves Dean to follow him inside.
Dean can't help but laugh. He has never seen Castiel like this before. Carefree, happy, without care. It suits him. Dean wants to see this side of him more often, wants to be the reason, the secure space Castiel can be like this.
A lot has happened in the twelve months since he got him back. A lot of angel business. Something about rebuilding heaven. It was a top secret mission. But now, it's finished, and the angel is all his.
***
Dean puts another log into the open fireplace and walks back to the sofa, where Castiel is buried under a fluffy blanket that he holds up for Dean to slide under.
"Do you like it here?" Castiel asks.
Dean snuggles against his chest and enjoys Castiel's fingers combing through his hair. "I love it," he whispers.
Castiel smiles softly. "You'll love it even more when you see the view tomorrow. It's stunning. I checked it before I booked it."
Dean raises his head and crawls up until they are face to face. "The view is stunning already."
Castiel laughs out loud before they kiss to the music of his mixtape.
***
They laugh a lot this week. When they stumble down the footpath to the beach, too busy with kissing to watch their steps. When Dean screams in surprise as the ice-cold sea washes over his naked feet. When they drink eggnog from a thermos, and loot a local café for doughnuts. When they walk for hours, as the sea breeze blows away everything heavy and dark in their cores.
They still laugh when they're driving the long way home, when they show Jody and the girls photos from their trip, when they enjoy a glorious dinner with them, and video-call with Donna and the whole crew.
They also laugh when they cuddle up in Jody's guest room, late at night, Dean with a few too many beers in his system, and Castiel tickling him, until his boyfriend is a gasping mess, with tears running all over his face.
They stop laughing when Dean turns sober, eyes vulnerable and sorrowful, and tells Castiel that he wants him to stay. Forever. "I will," the angel promises, his voice barely above a whisper and soaked with emotions.
***
Not far from Lebanon, they drive past a derelict house with a 'For sale' sign on what might once have been a front lawn. Dean slams on the brakes.
"Do you think… do you think we could restore that?" Dean asks.
Castiel smiles at him softly. "We can do everything, my love," he replies. "Everything we want. We're free."
They scramble out of the car and run inside the only half-roofed house, muse about bedrooms and garden supplies.
Back at the car, Dean rubs his hands together and takes a last look at the sturdy stonewalls.
"You're right, Cass. You're right," he says. Castiel smiles knowingly.
They get into the car again, turn up the music and the heater. They sing at the top of their lungs until they make it to the bunker and laugh some more, stumbling down the staircase.
"Sammy! Eileen! We're home. And we've got news," Dean shouts.
The two smirk at them. Eileen pulls Castiel into her arms. "We've got news, too."
THE END
