Saw your Headcanons and was wondering what you think about the Lost Boys with a Witch S/o?

With their cave? The trinkets they wear and hang up? Their vibes? They would all love a witch s/o I will die on that hill!!! Especially with them residing in Santa Carla where I am positive mysticism isn't new or out of the ordinary on the boardwalk.

The Lost Boys with a Witch S/O

Paul:

- Is the most accepting of the guys about you being a witch and the most curious.

- Will ask you to do Divination before making big decisions to see what the outcome will be (Or little ones...Come on, he can't decide!)

- Will ask you what every ingredient is and why you need it 1000 times bc he forgets and just enjoys seeing you ramble about something you're passionate about

- Romanticizes it all. Thinks you bewitched him no matter how much you swear you didn't.

- Will be the most bummed out if you're witchcraft is a private practice for your eyes only

- Wears a tailsmen you gave him with pride for all to see bc wow you care that much about his protection? That's so sweet he's never taking it off.

- is either deathly serious or giggling when you ask him to join a spell no in between.

Marko:

- He flip flops between skeptic and avid believer but supports you either way

- Might make fun of it a little especially spell jars he jokes are just cooking ingredients mixed together

- He can make fun of it but if someone else mocks your beilefs he's fighting them

- Does not understand curses...Why not just go punch them in the face?...Or kill them?

- Will return with cool things he finds on the beach he thinks you would like and use in your craft

- ....He will read your book of shadows/spell book so hide that thing bc even though he claims he didn't invade your privacy; he did and will.

- Is the first one asking about sex magick and when you can use him for it ;)

- Cannot stop moving or interrupting if you have him join you in a spell

- Touches your altar out of impulse but never does it again after he realizes how special it is to you

Dwayne:

- He beileves in it but will pretend he doesn't. Acts indifferent to it all.

- Watches you when you're not looking. He watches you mediate or chant under the moon and thinks you're beautiful when you do it

- He's an observer and rarely asks anything about your craft.

- However, he does thumb through your things out of curiosity when you're asleep. He never messes with anything and is so quiet you don't even hear him. He just can't help studying it bc it's a part of you in a way.

- Gets you whatever you need no questions asked but he might raise a brow at a few items

- Surprises everyone when he acts protective over a spell jar you gave him for a love spell to strengthen your bond. Will wretch one of the guys's hand away and glare them down when they picked it up. "It's from YN and it's mine. Don't touch it."

- Will hesitate joining you if you want him to but ultimately sighs and does it anyways even if he's not putting any intention into it like he's supposed to. Doesn't take it as seriously as he should but doesn't mess it up either.

David:

- The BIGGEST skeptic that dogs on you for believing in that 'fake mystic bullcrap they sell on the boardwalk'

- He's just an asshole with tough love. His love language is getting someone riled up so if you think he won't grin and tell you "You aren't seriously talking to a candle, are you?" when you're doing candle magick; think again.

- Acts like he hates you bugging him to wear the protective amulet/tailsmen you made him but yet does it anyways

- Watches you with a raised brow in the corner as you chant a spell

- He's surprisingly respectful of not touching your things just because they're yours and will put the others in line to not touch your altar in your corner of the cave as well (*cough* especially Marko and Paul *cough*)

- Secretly loves that you love something and finds it cute even if he doesn't have faith in it. He can't admit that though, everyone will think he's going soft if he did.

- No matter if a spell comes true or not; it's always a coincidence to him. He will argue with the other guys even when they say there's no way your spell didn't work. (If it's out of his control he doesn't like it and is in denial that some spell could impact his life like that bc there's no way in his eyes.)

- Will most likely refuse to join in any spell till you mentioned blood letting or sex magick...That's a different story.

Michael:

- Just a nicer version of David. He openly tells you he doesn't believe in that junk and gets a lopsided smirk on his face like it's a cute imaginary thing when you talk about it but won't openly make fun of it either.

- When a spell comes true he's in denial but unlike David who truly tries to convince you and everyone else it's not true; he's trying to convince himself it's not real cause it scares the shit out of him

- Does NOT want you to read his palm or cards or anything bc he's scared it will be like in movies and you'll draw death and he'll die right away. (Oh, but he doesn't believe in it....Okay Mike 😒)

- His skepticism is called fear. But the more you show him 'good' spells he eases up

- If he's scared of something he clutches the tailsmen you gave him and chants the protective spell you taught him but would rather jump off a cliff then admit it (The boys would make fun of him so bad for it)

- Once he feels comfortable with you being a witch; he asks for spells that aren't possible like making him taller or making his hair go blonde no matter how much you tell him that's not how it works

- Buys you gifts on the boardwalk he thinks you would like (It was a new tarot deck or crystals <3)

Star:

- She is even more into it than Paul like she's probably a witch herself tbh

- Will willingly and happily hold hands with you in a spell circle and meditate together or dance under a full moon to release pent up energy

- Is the one reminding you to collect or buy a spell ingredient and what the next moon phase is

- Makes you her own amulet out of shell and feathers from the beach to protect you and remind you how loved you are

- Will yell at anyone in the cave that even THINKS about touching anything on your altar >:(

Fandom: The Lost Boys (1987)

Michael has a growing collection of mixtapes. Some he makes for himself, some he gets from Star. He has some for any occasion, and has trouble finding which one to play sometimes.

After he got his ear pierced, Star began making him earrings with little gems, beads, and rocks she finds and buys on the boardwalk.

She also cuts his hair for him. None of the barbers in Santa Carla have much idea how to keep his curly hair in the shape that Michael actually likes.

He tried out lots of different comic book types, but doesn't find any very interesting. He prefers to read novels.

His favorite novel genre is horror/thriller.

Michael drives Sam to the boardwalk, and basically anywhere Sam needs to go. Lucy gets busy once she starts working, but Michael doesn’t complain.

He’s always bugging Sam about girls and crushes. When the two are alone in the car, Mike hits him with the, “So, Sam, any cute girls in the middle school?”

He is a momma's boy. Him, Lucy, and Sam go to a drive in movie theater every week just to hang out. With school and Lucy working, this is some of the only time they spend together as a family.

He sleeps heavy. Like he has slept through 3 alarm clocks. And this is the 1980’s so they’re physical alarms. It got 10x worse after the vampire fiasco.

Michael watches a lot of cartoons. He really likes He-Man and G.I. Joe. He gets teased by Sam and Star because he's above the target age, but he doesn't care.

They met when they saw you hand it to a surf nazi. You could say you caught their eyes that night. 

The had come up to you when you were leaned up against the wall. Which honestly wasn’t very wise of them since 1.) it was just you and some fuckin guys you’d never seen surrounding you and given how you grew up it put you heavily on guard and 2.) they just saw what you did to that surf nazi with crutches. And they’re gonna get that close???

“Hey hun, look—”

“Unless you’d like my foot up your ass, then leave."

They kind of just stared at you. And then simultaneously, three out of the four took a step back as you were already looking to hand it to them. Paul though, not so much. The guy only got closer chuckling at your words, and before any of the boys could pull him back, you sent a kick his way. 

There he was on the ground clutching his stomach releasing quite a few curses. And as for you, you were leaned to the wall once again, but this time—wincing.

“You alright?” The brunette asked in concern, slowly coming up to check on you

“Yeah yeah I’m alright. Don’t touch me!—”

He backed up with his hands in the air as if to show he meant no harm. He was just trying to help. 

“Is that so? You don’t look it.” The bleach blonde spoke

You sighed and looked to the them, before telling. You had crutches due to some trauma you experienced to the spine and while it didn’t stop you from going ‘bout your usual, it hurt sometimes when you did so.

They listened and nodded. Then explained that they just came to talk to you which earned them a snort followed by a response on ‘how they shouldn’t do that because you never know who you’re dealing with.’ 

“Thought you guys were going to try something.”

From there, you guys were constantly together. Every night the boys coming to look for you where ever that was at. 

You also had given your sorry to Paul, even though it wasn’t really necessary since you had warned him and he shouldn’t have kept going. He took it well though, like nothing even happened, and proceeded to commend you for your moves. Which then brought up the question of where you learned them.

You told them you grew up in the dojo. Explaining what it was and how martial arts was basically in your veins.

They were impressed.

Marko would ask you all sorts of questions, so interested in knowing what it was like and even asking how to do certain moves. Which concerned Dwayne and David because 1.) they didn’t need you exerting yourself more than you should—cue you rolling your eyes and ignoring them and 2.) Marko was already quite the fighter, they didn’t him need him learning any more things. They had pulled him from enough fights, no more please. You two were the same when it came to your stubbornness so good luck to the boys in trying to get you to listen.

Paul was interested to know too but kept a fair distance and didn’t try to provoke you. He’s seen what you could do, felt it too. Though there are nights where he does forget.... 

“That hurt hun!”

“Then why’d you try it! You think I was just going to stand there and let it happen!—”

But he also never likes seeing you hurt after, he’d end up pulling you in for a hug and then bringing you to the couch so you could rest and he could hold you.

Dwayne liked how you could hold your own, it impressed him so much. He liked how your disability didn’t stop you from nothing. But he just didn’t like how you were so fuckin stubborn when it came to it. It worried the boy so much when you would wince or suck in a breath whenever you tried something or over exerted yourself. He wasn’t trying to keep you from doing what you were used to and had grown up on, though at the same time he couldn’t help it! 

David was much like Dwayne in that sense. Though he tended to be more  subtle ‘bout it. He would reprimand you every time, expecting you to listen and take in his words. So vision his face when you just didn’t. It would fuckin send him. He wasn’t too fond of you ignoring what he says. Like, excuse him for worrying...

Your stubbornness was quite amusing and might I say, a peeve of theirs—mostly David and partly Dwayne. Just a little. 

Though I doubt any body would try anything with them nearby and surrounding you basically all the time. And if they did, well you weren’t the only one who was going to be handing it to somebody. Not only that but, that person just put themselves on a missing poster.

They care for you oh so much.

💋 David 💋

Is a skilled fire arm shooter. (Loves the cowboy aesthetic)

Has his own gun hidden in the cave.

Doesn't get the chance too often, but will ride a horse when the chance arises.

Likes wood carving. Mostly non specific whittling into basic shapes or animals. It helps him relax.

Movie nut! When the boys go the Max's store to fool around, David makes sure to tuck a movie or two that catches his eye in his coat. Tends to watch them alone, all the questions from Paul would just grate on his nerves too much.

I imagine David would be like REALLY good at origami for no particular reason. He doesn't even try, just once the boys do it just because and he's just the best at it.

I don't know if vampires can emerge in water in the lost boys lore, but if they can David loves to swim. Chilling in water clears his mind.

💀 Dwayne 💀

Skater boi! Does a lot of sick tricks, but when you can levitate it's less impressive. XD

Doesn't care for guns, but likes archery. Hammers his own arrow heads. Dwayne and David like to pick a spot in the woods to shoot make shift targets.

A real book worm. Will spend a lot of time just silently reading for hours.

Takes up knitting from time to time. He prefers hand knitted blankets and throws rather then the store ones.

Likes to make jewelry. Made his own necklace.

Enjoys all types of puzzles. Cross word, jigsaw, and brain teasers.

Can sew and offers to sew up holes made in all the clothes the boys decide not to get new ones.

🌿 Paul 🌿

Can play the guitar.

Also likes to sing, and is pretty good at it. Wanted to start a band, but the other boys weren't up for it.

Has the biggest music collection and is always hogging the tabletop/cassette/cd player.

Amateur photography. Just likes to take photos randomly. Some are really artsy.

Got really into tie dye for a while. Although he might have just been high.

When he wants to relax, Paul really likes to stargaze. Laying outside the cave looking at the sky and hearing the waves of the ocean just makes him feel at peace.

When David isn't using the tv monitor, Paul enjoys quite a few video games. He also likes to take on the arcade and carnival games at the boardwalk.

🪶 Marko 🪶

Aside from pigeons, Marko will try to domesticate a number of animals to the cave, including stray dogs, cats, deer, badgers, squirrel, foxes, bats, and even a black bear once.

He in fact did NOT domesticate a black bear, but he did wrestle one.

He does his own patchwork on his jacket.

Like David, he likes to sculpt into wood, but he usually carves patterns and landscapes into more grand pieces.

He's also a skilled painter. Mostly he'll paint murals on sections of the cave David says is ok for him to paint on.

He collects sea shells on the beach.

He'll style the others hair. Especially David who he'll cut and dye in the way he likes best.

🔥Pack Activities🔥

Dart throwing. The bigger the target the better. David and Dwyane are very competitive at this one specifically.

Rollerblading. Put wheels on shoes, what more can you want?

Listening to music. The boys have very wide music tastes and sometimes they cross over and they all like the same stuff. They take turns around the player of their choice to just smoke, drink, and listen to the sounds of the music plays.

Card games. Specifically poker when they're all together. They make things more interesting when they make bets.

And of course motocycle cruising and board walk loitering.

Something that always strikes me with vampires in fiction and indeed with any immortal creature with the high and emotional intelligence of humans. IMMORTALITY IS FUCKING BORING!

I mean, think about it. Imagine you're given all the free time in the world with very little responsibility with no fear of getting sick or tired allowed to do pretty much whatever you want. What would you do? Cause I would go stir crazy. So I came up with these dumb little head canons on how I image the boys specifically would pass the time in their little vampire lives that doesn't revolve around murdering and feeding off of people.

Of course cruising on their bikes come to mind. And there's a couple in the movie we get to see like Dwayne's skateboarding and Marko's fondness for pigeons but I wanted to throw more possibilities out there. :3

how i hc duke's relationships with the other (main) bats

bruce: mentor/friend/weird HS teacher u bond with kinda thing, i think bruce on his end still feels simmering guilt for not being there for duke when he needed him, duke feel simmering resentment towards bruce for being another adult that left him, this will boil over at some point but then they'll get over it, they will never be that dumb nuclear found family thing, i think doug and elaine would like bruce tho so maybe one of those friend of the family situations where u call someone ur not related to aunt/uncle

cass: very very good friends, would probably consider her a sister from another mister if u will, i would hesitate to call her a best friend *gestures at all of war* but i think she's up there, i really love the headcanon that there is some tension on duke's end because cass has the ability to be more efficient but she actively chooses not to, i think for a long time duke is going to be holding some unhealthy and unrealistic standards both for himself and also people around him, like everything else this causes tension then erupts before it gets resolved, cass i think would know about said tension the whole time but have no idea how to bring up the issue or how to even think about resolving it so it drags on

dick: i think duke holds a grudge for the robin war thing, and i think he fucking should iykyk, (the way he just leaves duke on a roof??? with cops????, i was shouting at my fucking comic) idk i think dick would probably make light of it for a while but duke would be real fucking clear that he remembers and won't be forgiving and forgetting any time soon, i think they're acquaintances at best but realistically, coworkers

damian: like cass Extremely good friends, found family if you will, honestly i think they got a lot of their interpersonal issues out of the way before duke becomes signal, so really its a matter of time before they actually become friends and not just acquaintances, they're old man young to me, i think they do old man things like feed birds in the park and play Go together, i think damian is probably one of the only people duke doesn't hold to his standards, he thinks damian deserves to be a kid, making damian be a kid is probably some of the only time that duke is forced to relax by proxy, therefore duke and damian's friendship is strongly encouraged by bruce who is out of his depth for what to do with both of them and throwing them at each other seems to be working (👍 parenting)

tim: i honestly don't think they know each other well, like i think they may have talked once??? so i don't have shit to base their relationship off, generally i think they're amicable if distant, like a coworker you say hi to at the coffee machine

babs: i Need them to interact, honestly it would be really funny if duke meets babs for the first time as oracle and he's just like??? you're my favorite librarian? and babs is like !! we missed you when you stopped volunteering!!! and duke has to be like yeah that was the joker, i think they would have a good relationship, they don't work together all that much cause oracle doesn't run duke's ops and duke isn't usually on the night shift but they know they can call each other in if they need. one of duke's few trusted AdultsTM

jason: i think rocky at the start, duke would definitely have some Memories of the red hood, that would probably be a hill to overcome, but i generally think that jason will eventually move into a more positive position in the city even with the shadows of all that stuff following him ofc. they are absolute Assholes to each other in a way that is clearly affection, jason will let duke get away with anything up to and including murder, duke will never let jason get away with anything, its like a typo in the group chat

steph: re same as tim, and babs practically nothing to base the relationship on BUT i think they would get on like a house on fire, like cass: sister from another mister energy, steph is giving duke the "you just found out ur dad is a supervillain" support he needs, they are the only bats successfully going to college they probably go to events on campus together, idk they have so much potential as the forgotten robins and all that, i think they should bully bruce together that would be so fun.

And your take on Dwayne is legit how I imagined him, like isn't it just fantastic when you read a fanfic that just makes your brain go "DING DING DING DING JACKPOT" that's me with your Dwayne content, I wanna cry.

If I may, but like please ignore this suggestion if it doesn't inspire you ... I am short af, like 4'11"(1.50m) kinda short, and I am kinda curious... How would Dwayne feel about that? First off let me just say that I am so freaking honored! Like holy crap! Dwayne the one boy I struggled to write when I first started writing about them, and to hear someone say that I nailed him perfectly to how they imagined him is just 🥹🥹. Dwayne is all three types when it comes to his shorter s/o. He's protective upon meeting you because in his mind, your height makes you more vulnerable to things, even if you are a little spitfire (like Marko) in his mind he still needs to use his own height to protect you. He will be your sword AND shield so you don't need to worry.

He also finds you absolutely adorable, especially when you have to ask him for help to reach stuff, it's no secret amongst the boys that Dwayne loves to be needed, it's like a drug to him, so that being said, he will be a cheeky shit at times and put stuff he knows you'll want, higher up so you have to come to him, with that adorable pout and ask in the sweetest voice.

"Dwayne can you help me?"

Cause you don't even know that you already have him wrapped around your finger.

He won't start teasing until you're a little ways into the relationship. It starts with little things, asking in a teasing voice "need something baby?" Other times it's "it's so cute when you stand on your tiptoes to kiss me. On more than one occasion he has easily lifted you up so you are at eye level with him, smiling that teasing smile and saying "there, isn't this easier baby? No need to strain your neck".

He loves how when you're out on the boardwalk he can wrap you in his arms, chin resting atop your head and feel like he is totally shielding you. How your body fitting so snuggly in his arms.

He never thought he had a size kink until he met you, but he soon realized he was wrong. The way his hand will totally eclipse yours when he holds them, how he can easily cup your cheeks and pull you close, his lips bruising your smaller ones. How easily you fit into his lap, either just relaxing so he can read to you, or during...other times.

You and Marko are like newlyweds in your honeymoon phase. You'll be sitting in his lap giggling as you feed him takeout.
