I don't know much about her (bcs her creator/owner (My frend Leo) didn't write her a backstory :') ) but all I can say is, she's a TALL Nightwing with a weird red tint which normie ahh Nighywings don't have also 2 colored silver scales (that also give her weird powers) that look like eyes bcs eclipses can do that now apparently. Oh yeh Eclipsed-Nightwings also have glowing eye scale patterns under their wings now. (Also her pupils are white & glow, weird am I right?)

I never noticed this but the background is kinda........wonky. I've been around half-timbered houses (i think that's the name) for all my life so I knew something looked a bit off.

The wood beams(?) look like a mess. All of them but here some specific examples. They don't have to be all symmetrical but it is more typical, logical and prettier. The spacing is irregular and so is the thickness of them. Even factoring perspective and the usual imperfections, these are a bit toooo wonky to be intentional.

Here is a picture from the (german) wikipedia page about half-timbered houses to compare to. Obv there are different types of houses depending on a lot of factors but i chose the one most similiar to the ones in the drawing.

Some things don't even make sense bc what is that thin string on the window? A curtain? Outside? And the timbers have white stripes for some reason. Also, why is the roof next to it reflecting the sky or whatever is happening to have this blue space/line. The flowers and plants are so mushy and blurry you can barely distinguish any details.

I know it's just the background and people usually don't pay any attention to it but it's just so weird and noticable, for me at least. I don't wanna say they used....a....i....but how else is this possible? If you draw something, whether you like it or not, there is some amount of thought or vibe behind it. How was anyone OK with drawing this? Even amateurs wouldn't make such decisions. I'm not trying to bash prettybusy but with the rampant disease that is called "AI Art" and the growing disrespect against art(ist), I wanted to mention this somehow. If I'm wrong (I hope) and it's really just some poor overworked lad, then I feel bad for roasting the artwork so much 😭

i feel like going through my old art and seeing how my art has changed over the years, so why not! (none of these are direct redraws, but i'll look at anything that's from the same MV)

february 2022 - june 2024 : oh damn this one has changed a lot! you can see how i went from big eyes and pupils to smaller eyes and tiny pupils (watching the simpsons and south park really influenced how i drew eyes) i also just have an overall more "detailed" looking style, although it is still very much cartoony. wait a second i just realized... did i forget janet's beauty mark??? *facepalm*

may 2022 - june 2024 : the old one looks kinda weird with its proportions and stuff but it's also kinda hot 🤭 like look at the tongue goddamn! i can definitely tell the face is the main change here, but other than that, the poses are actually pretty similar! i really just think smaller pupils look better imo, but the old one is still good (i also add blush a lot nowadays)

january 2022 - june 2024 : i think this one has THE most apparent changes. 1. the eyes are wayyy smaller and more baddie energy (idk what word i want to use lol) and i love emphasizing his eyeliner. 2. the hair is longer for some reason? 3. ✨ complementary & SATURATED colours galore~ ✨ (orange and yellow look so good if you want a golden colour!!) 4. more exaggerated facial features & cheekbones. 5. lips 👄

the old one is so cute though 🥺 some of my old art can get really wonky but i have a soft spot for this one (he's so babygirl omg)

january 2022 - july 2023 : rare case where i actually like the old one better than the new one xD (my 2023 art was all over the place) those eyes are staring right into my soul and i don't like it

november 2021 - november 2022 : this one is a direct redraw and i'm honestly impressed how much i improved in a year! i find it funny how i just didn't draw the backgrounds the second time haha me being lazy as usual (fun fact: i drew this while i was on a plane visiting the USA) i will probably draw this again when november comes around, so here's your 4 months notice

So for the first drawing it's just us in our yearbook photos, and we practiced our smiles and it kinda looks like we copied each other LOL

2nd: we're playing with toys we were able to get one Christmas. Ed really likes planes and space cuz he sees it as a form of escapism and often maps out parts of them in small sketches

I got a lil toy guns and got in trouble a lot cuz of them :,p

3rd is us walking to school together! The perspective is off Ik but I thought I liked the more organic feel of this one without all the editing I'd do

Anyway, he subconsciously mimics actions I do like how I'm grabbing the strap of my backpack there he's also doing so, it's so sjfksi

He does it to feel closer to me and understand me better.

4rth is us finding an ant hill. He has this special interest for researching bugs and drags me along to the woods to find insects and such and just observe them while he explains. it's kinda a fun pass time cuz we get to go out a bit!

Haven't figured out what his favorite bug would be or anything or why but I'll think about it :3

Alright!! Sorry if this doesn’t work i’m still not exactly sure how to use tumblr!

I really liked his design with the winged/feathered cape, i thought it was really cool whenever he was in a panel so i put that in there for funsies!! The ending ‘feathers’ have a little bit of a more solid stick or weight, so when held up it stays outstretched like a birds (i sadly couldn’t fit it too well onto the page tho :( )! The feathers would also be somewhat strengths, and provide a little bit of a shield against fire and whatnot, like batman’s cape, which is also why i thought it should be more solid for lifting (obviously still flimsy and stuff though!) EDIT: Also!! The art in the top right corner is supposed to be him holding up the cape but i didn't have enough space to make it really long so now it looks weird :(

I had an idea for the staff, but then i realized i couldn’t do it so it looks a little bit bad, sorry! From what i’ve found, in some comics his staff has a built in taser feature for stunning people, and has a shit ton of internal cable stuffed inside of it to be able to throw at people and grapple, which i thought was really cool!! Originally i thought it could split, but i don’t think that’s correct. I feel like if it’s not a collapsible one (because of everything inside of it), there should be a holster on his back maybe underneath of his cape, or on his belt because hefting around a stall all the time is fun and all, but you would need your hands free at some point right?? Also i think. the staff would be pretty dented and scratched up? Even though he could get a replacement, it would get scratched up pretty easily!

The yellow square things on his forearms (?) and hands can be used for blocking attacks, they’re nothing too special, just something for some extra defense!!

i don’t know if i really ahve anything else to talk about with this??? I know i’ll probably somehow change it lmao

idk why but i wanna show tumblr my aranara quests themed custom tarot deck lmao. i finished it in february but since i created this acc just recently, i gotta put it here now. im just really proud of this project and the fact that i actually finished it.

unfortunately tumblr will only allow me to add 10 pics per post, while there are 23 cards, so that kinda sucks. will have to separate em it seems. i'll also explain a little about my choices on these. so here we go, first ten.

0 the fool - "where the journey begins". i think its already a tradition to put some main figure on the fool card and so did i. glad i used his correct design for the card-

basically theres nothing to explain except for the monarch butterfly symbolism, which usually is a sign of a chosen. not like Arama is any "chosen" in a common sense, but i felt like adding this anyway. 6/10 nice Arama card.

I the magican - creation and manipulation. Aranimba got here for his exclusive sense of beauty and the will to create the beauty. he is an artist after all.

the story of the bg is kinda wonky. it was at release of 3.4 and due to my disappointment i made a pic where Aranimba points at that shiny cave northwest the mt. damavand with excitement. well, now its a boss enterance, but back then i had no clue, i made it literally at the release day lol. but it worked well on the bg of this card. i think you wouldnt guess it was that cave if i didnt tell, and that was done on purpose as well. 8/10 for backstory, and im proud of this card overall.

II the high priestess - waiting for the impulse from outside, confidence. first of all, the high priestess to me was always associated with some whimsy loud woman, and if you ask me, this is where Arapacati fits. however here she is depressively hugging a viparyas cuz she kicked her brothers a decade ago and now shes sad. what did i tell u about whimsy woman? 6/10, solid.

III the empress - the mother, fertility, the birth of a new. THIS IS WHERE WE STARTED, THE MAMA. no need to explain why i put Rukkhadevata here? 6/10, i struggled with this card cuz i hate drawing people, but it came out solid imo.

IV the emperor - the father, discipline, responsibility. to remind you, Araja is basically the one who runs the Vanarana dream realm, the tree of dreams. he is also here for a very simple reason because of being a big boss here, and looking like one as well. 7/10, nice mustache.

V the hierophant - attention to visible and invisible, search of the essence. if you ask me why i put Arapandu here, theres my answer - because he was the only major character who didnt have a card in the process of planning. i have some really vague explaination why exactly on hierophant, its mostly because of Varunastra actually, not Arapandu. i honestly dont have any emotional connection to Arapandu, he's kinda boring. 4/10.

VI the lovers - chosen by heart, determination and aspiration. ONLY BECAUSE OF SUCH INTERPRETATION. im against shipping aranara x anyone.

i think i wouldnt even make any better choice for this card whatsoever. they are here because they share dreams and aspirations and i really love their duet. 9/10 i teared.

VII the chariot - knowledge of the world, searching for the new. these goofy guys are here mostly because of "searching for the new", even though their methods were unsafe and archon knows what would happen to these dummies without any sense of self-preservation if we werent around. fact: they've been wondering for at least 4 years, but i love to say a decade. nay, theyre just very lucky. 5/10.

VIII justice - "play nice, and others will play nice with you". this is a card for Nara Varuna specifically and i decided to make both Lumine and Aether so that everyone will be satisfied. since Nara Varuna did nice in the past, all the aranara praise their name in the present.

the bg is again kinda symbolic. these are runes on Varuna contraption: "the water", when the rain pours, for Lumine, and "the sky", when its sunny, for Aether. i only hate how i made them so vague that theyre barely recognizable eh. but overall good cards, 6/10.

Electrical Colours

Man, I was just looking at that Abe's Oddysee's good ending and those cool colours the lightning strike made Molluck have, so I kinda wanted to draw him like this again... This ain't a redraw though even it looks like one of my older pieces.

There's also a sketch I made for this to my sketchbook. I don't have a light pad but it helped me to do a cleaner sketch to the actual paper. But frankly, that older piece has bothered me because of the flaws I see... So, I kinda have still wanted to redraw it but more because I really enjoyed playing around the colours there! I just rarely use vivid/strong colours...

I haven't touched my watercolour palettes for 5 years... I just got plenty of watercolour paper, mostly unused pads, so I felt like I gotta do something about it. I'm not sure if I'm pleased with the colours or not. I would have liked to mess more with the colours but well... The tape I used wasn't good enough to stay in place, so this got 'wonky' but not too much. It's just whenever I use watercolours, the paper gets wavy... The tape does help but eh, it's quite usual that I damage the paper anyway... Welp, need to practice my watercolour skills.

I wasn't sure about the background but just painted the environment from the cutscene. But yeah, I must say that I'm not sure if I enjoyed painting this or not... That tape just pissed me off and my usual self-hatred hit me while working on this... But I still decided to finish this, even it required many hours to make but also patience since yeah, you gotta layer stuff and be careful with watercolours. I still see some flaws here and there but just got tired of painting the whole thing...

I just started to feel so awful about myself, yet again... Felt like I'm just some odd freak, should just end what I'm doing but well, also myself... Currently, I basically have no other life than Molluck since I'm free and alone... I also just keep feeling like a failure, keep telling myself how I wasted one year of my life when I was too depressed to do anything, I didn't even really draw during that year... I just felt so hard that I'll be nothing, I have no future, I won't ever get to the university... Everything was so black... I didn't believe in myself, at all... I still feel like I got no future, barely have any hope on myself... There somewhere I kinda wish to tear that painting I did but also like all the other drawings too... I'm still having hard time with tolerating my own creations, even I do love to create stuff... I more like just wish to create stuff and then just send them into the void and never see them again... This is basically the main reason why I tend to disable reblogs... I just cannot really stand seeing my own stuff...

I have just felt like that I should just end my whole Molluck thing... But there somewhere I see Molluck looking at me with sad eyes and telling me how he knows that I don't really wish to do it since I love him so much... It also feels insulting to him that I'm calling myself a freak because of the way I love him... I don't wish to hurt my dear Gluk, even I do have drawn him getting hurt but it's just what actually happened to him and I cannot deny that him getting the hit looks 'cool'... My life would be so empty without Molluck... Welp, he at least keeps me creating stuff since I just moment ago got yet another drawing idea that I feel like starting later today. Not sure if I make a proper drawing about it and what media I should even use but just something to my sketchbook at least. I just feel like I barely drew a thing if I didn't have Molluck... Dunno if my stuff is even worth making but well, I'm glad to waste my time on some fictional creature I keep dreaming of every single day...

I'm still trying to see my stuff in a better light but it's difficult... I didn't have much will to post this one but still did it. I just tend to feel like my stuff looks soulless, uninspiring, crappy, just not worth seeing... I'm still trying to keep posting my crap stuff, even it's difficult for me to believe in that anyone really enjoys seeing my stuff... It's just that my mind just keeps telling me that everyone just secretly hates me and just pretends to like me for whatever reason... I don't even know why I feel like this but it's just making my self-hatred worse, keeping me feeling like I'm just ruining everything, that everything would be better if I was gone or better, never even existed... I'm still trying to keep living, even if my only reason to live was to keep filling the world with Molluck crap love... I'm planning to try out sculpting a Molluck bust next week; gotta buy some art supplies first though, like a banding wheel. Been just joking about filling my home with Molluck sculptures... But yeah, a huge Molluck bust would be just nice, though it would be like 'real-life-sized' at that point! Yeah, I can say that I do have had ideas for big Molluck crafts... I could be able to do a big plush too but I got no resources for such...

Yeah, let's say that this stuff is basically for what I live... I don't really care if some people think that I'm a freak/weirdo/whatever, this is just who I am, and I can be no one else but me; it's just that me calling myself a freak is my problem... I also got some 'digital craft' ideas too, meaning programming and 3D stuff. Yeah, so many medias to work with... It would be just cool to do a VR/AR Molluck thing too! Yes, I am crazy about Molluck but it's not really harming anyone and it keeps me alive and creating stuff, so it's fine. I actually started to feel better after writing this stuff since well, there is so much cool Molluck stuff to do, even if I have difficulties with tolerating my stuff... I just love to create Molluck stuff, okay.

I don't wanna sound like I hated people liking my stuff, no. It's only a big surprise to me if someone really likes my stuff and I do appreciate all the positive things my stuff gets! I just wish that I could also see what you see when looking at my stuff... My problem is just that I tend to see only my flaws and therefore find my stuff as crappy... But I'm trying my best to learn to love myself and stop feeling like I'm just a failure that shouldn't exist... It's only me who has said those brutal things to myself...

I feel sorry for all this vent... It's just that I'm really fighting for my own life with my mind. So many times, I have just felt like ending this all... But here I am, even if my whole existence was a total waste after all... Yes, this is how I talk to myself during my worst moments... I hope that your self-talk ain't so awful!

The top left one is a sculpture of my favorite hero and main in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (yeah…. i play it once in a while) Barats (and his dino Detona)!! It’s of his Toy Rex skin, I love him so much <3 I didnt make his rockets though

the octopus and nine-tailed fox were made around the same time when i had an art teacher

i love them <3 the ninetailed fox is kinda wonky haha

these two are foxes i think? or wolves, the silver one’s name is… Silver (i think) (very original i know) and i forgot the white one’s name, probably Snow or some shit 😭

there was another one, a golden-brown one with a red bandanna but idk where he went and his head got decapitated, his name was Lucky i think??? i did NOT know how to name things, also he was like the leader of their group 😭😭

i used to like. play with them and make up a whole storyline

my dragon that I made in 2021 or 2022!! i hated painting them but i love how its so light because i made it out of armature wire wrapped in tinfoil on the meaty parts and covered it in clay, very easy to transport, its lighter than the catnessa sculpture

also funny thing is that i finished painting it (gave up and just called it a day) last year around the time as i made the croc because i gave up on painting it all in 2022, the bottom was mostly white because i didnt paint it, the eyes i gave up on, etc

its kinda like an icewing from wof with its spikes, but i just created a regular ol european dragon

and finally the dragon something pot pet (i forgot the name but we had to make one) i made in third grade 💀

dont make fun of him guys 😭😭 at least you can put water into his mouth and itll go into the pot thingy

its really bad but i love him

It's funny to go back and look at where the major players in the Webcomic Renaissance (tm) of the early 2k's ended up.

Really, there's four tiers (and a bucket).

First, there's Still Doin' They Thing Tier, for webcomickers that stuck to the grind and are still going strong. David Willis (Roomies!, It's Walky) is in his first full reboot of the Walkyverse with Dumbing of Age, and it's heckin' fun. Jeph Jacques is still doing Questionable Content, though he's now more mature and has gone sober. Brad Guigar is still doing Evil Inc., and shows no signs of stopping. Joe England finished Zebra Girl (and what an ending it was!), and will likely be doing more in the universe eventually. Bill Holbrook will stop doing Kevin and Kell when he has a total existence failure, and good luck getting Eric Schwartz away from either his Amiga or from Sabrina Online.

Then there's Still Doin' They Thing But More Queer Tier. There were a lot folks that realized "hey I'm not queer in some variety" over the last 20 years, and in a lot of cases this turned into something very cool in their work. Dan Shive (El Goonish Shive) has realized that he only prefers he/him pronouns because "it raises fewer questions" and is bi, and his work has turned from "no this is totally just gender-bending comedy because I'm using manga tropes" to one of the happiest queer comics on the internet. Mae Dean (Real Life Comics) realized she was trans during the lockdown, and while the schedule for RLC is as wonky as it's ever been, it's still ongoing.

Third is Fell Off. The creators of Avalon and Road Waffles and Jackie's Fridge have kinda disappeared. At least the former eventually hosted an AMA that explained he's working tech support now, and just kinda can't draw anymore. I also include Scott Kurtz in this - PvP was THE mainstream webcomic of my youth, and after his dad died, he kind of... dissolved. The whole thing is paywalled now, and AFAIK hasn't had a single update. Fourth is Got Big, with webcomickers that are now working in/have worked in animation in one stripe or another, or who are doing larger projects. ND Stevenson, Ian J, Rebecca Sugar (yes, I count The Ballad of Margo and Dread). And of course you have to include Jerry and Mike of Penny Arcade in here - while they're Still Doin' They Thing, they're also doing all kinds of larger projects. Of course, Dana Simpson is now doing a syndicated newspaper comic with Phoebe and Her Unicorn. Bobby Crosby's Marry Me got turned into a live action rom-com that is actually pretty damn good if you like romcoms.

And in the last tier, there's only one sad, sad person. And while I'm convinced that his self-loathing ass could be fixed with a massive load of peyote and a kick in the teeth, until then Tatsuya Ishida will remain alone in the Fucking Insane MAGA Asshole bucket.

Because he doesn't deserve a tier, that's why. (Edit: Fixed a typo.)
