DIY Cosplay Shoots in the Wild panel

Can't get a cosplay photographer? Want to yeet yourself into the woods and come back out with great photos? Join veteran cosplayer Fabrickind to learn the logistics, safety, and basic photography know-how for solo location shoots. Get those self timers and tripods ready!

This is just the bare bones of the panel, as many of the examples were elaborated on in-person, and it is just the slides, not any of my notes. It is not meant to be exhaustive or definitive, and is just meant for general advice and suggestion purposes only. If anyone has feedback they would like to give, feel free to do so. That said, I hope that people find this information useful.

Here is a link to a pdf of the presentation. You may download for personal use, but please do not alter the presentation, repost without permission, or do any sort of other unauthorized use. (If you have a question about how you can use this presentation, please send me a message with your question and we can work it out. XY's candy is still in XXC's hand.#Hes still standing there. 180 degrees out of frame. Which is where your heart is! MEANING: XXC is in your heart right now #holding out a little piece of candy that has yet to be taken.#This comic was so close to being on the chopping block. Honestly I'm still not sure I should have kept it in #but I liked this scene a lot*** and tbh the yi-city arc isn't around for much longer. Let them have fun while it lasts.#not to mention I have few opportunities to build up spanish speaking XXC. And we are close to the pay off.#XY is in his 'oh god I need to start learning the basics of this language or I will drown' phases. Lets see how well he does!#***The candy represents so much! It's a symbol of unobtainability! Of comfort and status! Both A-qing and XY crave candy as much as they-#-crave those 'unobtainables'! XY has money to by candy (part of status) but he lacks love and comfort is his life!#So XXC offering them this little piece of candy is more than just a treat! It's a piece of love!#But as sweet as candy is....it cannot last....#(this also makes the scene where XY disrupts A-Qing's comfort by offering candy very interesting to analyze)

MY SON!!! this is..what? fourth year i managed to do something for him? im running out of stuff to say but i still #got a lot of love for him. i really wish i couldve picked more panels from post-escape but theres just so much development he goes #through during the first arcs. its kinda bittersweet? like of course he has his moments later on in the story but theyre not as grand #as all his actions while at GF. but its also great because its those early arcs that are so memorable and arguable the best in the #series. so thankfully those were lucky enough to be animated properly so we can see my boy truly shine like the best boy he is.

#sketch #comic #ocs #oc:romsir #oc:penny #oc:end #this was intially going to be a dtl comic would you believe that #anyways this is about the character development romsir goes through at the beginning of deep breath #they go from being listless and kinda unreliable to having something to live for and work towards #they and penny bond extremely closely after the collapse. each was under the impression that no other humans survived #they experience a similar bond w jia but thats more paternal/fraternal in nature #penny and romsir have something borderline unhealthy going on #but theyre deeply in love and by the end of the narrative theyre in much better places #also im so glad i could draw romsirs fucked up skeleton arm finally. they only have it for a little bit before it has to be amputated #but i think its so funny #BTW THEY ARE NOT JUMPING OFF A BUILDING. THATS NOT WHATS HAPPENING #the 4th panel out of those 6 is the collapse closing in on them and their hand being fucking vaporized #3 seconds later daemos pulls them out of the collapse but theyre like chewed tf up by then #and 5th panel is them ~8 days after dying catching their first shard of the end #this being a dtl comic would have been so funny actually maybe i should revisit it #ANYWAYS GOODNIGHT MWAH

The “Michael and Lucifer are brothers” came other media having the two be twins. Especially the Netflix Lucifer tv show and the DC comics by Neil Gaiman that the tv show is based on.

Someone giving me an excuse to blabber on about my thoughts and ideas? That only happens in my daydreams! Also I just realized it's spelled Michael not Micheal oop-

I feel like everything can be traced back to Neil Gaiman in someway. Thank you Mr. Gaiman, for giving me more goofy but sad angels.

I haven't seen The TV show or the DC comics, but just the idea alone of these two being twins was enough to make me flesh out Michael's personality and the relationship between the two.

Just kidding : ) Michael wouldn't question Sera, he obeys orders with a morbidly unquestioning loyalty.

I imagine that Michael was the more responsible one, and would try to discourage Lucifer's ideas and dreams, but Lucifer tended to ignore him. Lucifer would cause some kind of havoc, and Michael would be the one to tell the angels. Luci 100% saw him as a buzzkill and a tattletale, and Michael knew his brother was a safety hazard with wings, but I think they still loved eachother.

Which is why it would both break them to have Michael be the one who battled Lucifer and forced him into Hell. Lucifer felt horribly betrayed, and Michael would have been trying to cope with the fact that he drove his own brother out.

I have many ideas for them, so little time to write :(

Here it is! :D Or at least the first piece of it lol #I worked on quite a lot of it through Requestober - or at least the digital cleans lol #If you'll recall my ''This has gotten way out of hand'' posts about Winter and the like - yeah it was actually this lol #And that was just the roughs! This became my warmup project for the remainder of RQTR 2023 lol #It definitely worked! All the way around! I got lots of panels done in short order and got my warmups in for the day #These are mostly drawn right on top of my original sketches - other than adding Betty's kerchief #I would've gone over her hair to make her more on-model but hrnnghhh hair fun to drawww #This is my happy medium compromise lol #Prismo was also a treat to work on ♪ He's vectors as you can probably tell :)#And I still looooove working with vectors ahhhhhh <3 <3 They're so fun to manipulate and move around #I can change his expressions so quickly! On the subject of gotham county line and batman noel and so on and so forth it’s pretty frustrating (from a watsonian pov) that anytime Bruce hallucinates Jason being loving/ caring/helpful/compassionate towards him it’s always as robin and never as his current self

#it's ironic because Jason as robin never got the chance to become as obedient & devoted (malleable) to Bruce as he currently is #which is a result of being abused/manipulated for a more prolonged period of time #“maybe if I try harder and do it right this time he'll finally see the truth”#classic abuse tactic #no matter how well the victim fits the mold set by the abuser they’ll never acknowledge it #rather if they see you trying they’ll push harder and tell you you’re not perfect #the small shreds of affection here and there are important for motivating the victim to keep trying #kelseethe #Jason initiating the hug in rhato 27 after Bruce insinuated that those beatings will be a regular occurence bc he deems it a necessity #continuing to support Bruce even after Ethiopia and sticking around to help get Damian back #eagerly cooperating with Bruce + co in event leviathan then getting surprise pikachu faced/hurt after being betrayed #making a conscious decision to comfort Bruce in gotham war after Bruce fucked him up and left him behind #having undying conern for Bruce's wellbeing while Bruce regularly endangers his life #ex. Bruce's weird habit of committing vehicular assault on Jason whenever they're on the road demonstrated both in tfz and gotham war #point being: Jason was much more psychologically fit to be defiant towards Bruce when he was robin compared to now #he's more of a “good son”™ now than he was as robin Bruce is just too used to thinking whatever he wants and never being satisfied #the only times Jason got mad/upset at Bruce during one issue and continued to stay mad until the next #other than lost days and utrh was batman 410-411 and early in aditf before Bruce helps Jason find Sheila #so much worse has happened since then and all that just magically became water under the bridge off-panel
