Hey, I love your blog! Ever since I saw your oc Mischa, I was wondering if you would be interested in making a post showing and explaining a bit more of his fashion sense? Like, telling about which style/aesthetic he likes in clothing/jewerly/hairstyles with some images as examples?

I am working on a bigger post, and im still trying to find images that I can see him in, so for now, I will do my best to describe what I do know. But rest assured, it will come!

Figuring out a character in appearance and fashion sense is always a bit of a process for me as they shape themselves through my writing, they grow with it. When it comes up in the writing itself, I'll of course describe things in greater detail <3. I'll put a cut bc this will get long omg;;

Mischa has long nails and spidery hands, wears a lot of rings, necklaces, earrings... both gold and silver, sometimes at the same time. Big silver earrings with semi precious stones; he likes opals in particular. He wears black almost always. Sometimes a button up in a jewel tone - he's more keen on greens and blues than reds. I'd say his aesthetic is goth, but even then there's a lot of substyles of goth and he doesn't really fit neatly in any box. Most of his clothing is rather flowing and elongated in silliouette, and he wears long dresses and skirts too, alongside tighter dress pants with a smooth textured, loose-fitting button up. A good wide sleeve, sheer fabrics, laces, that's what I see him in with ease. Gowns I could see him in are vaguely like those Tilda Swinton wears in Susperia (esp the brown and red gowns, but in black).

Don't get me wrong, he is absolutely rather masculine, and because he is a man, dresses and skirts don't look v feminine on him.

As for hair, its rather long, somewhere mid-back, and it's often down, but regularly braided as well. He likes a normal big braid, but also ones where the sides of his hair are pulled up, like so:

hey finally came on here in who knows how long. im bored lol so here’s a story/fanfic idea for good omens. anyone who sees this is free to write from it, I don’t have the energy or motivation to write it myself lol so have fun.

basically 20-50 years pass on and Aziraphale had done everything in his power to delay/stop the second coming. he obviously failed and realized Crowley was right about Heaven. second coming was happening soon (in the next 100 hundred yrs but soon to beings like him).

he’s grown tired mentally/physically/spiritually/everything he is, is exhausted. he’s tried for many years to change, delay, or stop the second coming in hopes of saving the earth. his home. those 20-50 yrs that’s passed on feels like an eternity instead. he never got the chance to actually let himself cry or let out everything he’s been feeling. he hasn’t had anyone to talk to or connect with. even with all the angels in Heaven at his side whenever he needs something done, he never got close with any of them except Muriel.

But even with Muriel he didn’t feel that exposed, he couldn’t be. not when he wasn’t sure it was totally safe. he looks back on his time with crowley both with happiness and extreme pain/hurt. he wants to cry every time he remembers the way they broke up but can’t. not around other Angels, he never rlly gets a moment to himself either.

the only time he’s ever felt safe, happy, and so exposed was with crowley. Crowley could still be on earth so he felt the need to protect it. their earth, their home.

but his excuses and all the effort he’s putting into stopping Heaven seems to be in vain and completely hopeless. they are set in their path for earths destruction. that’s what going to happen and there was no stopping it, not like Armageddon last time. there was nothing he could do.

so he makes a plan for his future. all his energy and motivation to keep going is running out so he wishes for eternal peace. he did everything he could in his mind. he planned to visit crowley one last time as a final goodbye before going to the cosmos and turning into a star.

yes very cheesy but I imagine Aziraphale turning into a star by wrapping himself up in a ball, shutting his eyes as to slumber forever, and then be wrapped up in his warm wings like a blanket. then turning into a star, a ball of light. but he’d shine the brightest out of all the stars, a star u could see at any point from any part of the world.

but this would mean giving up his memories and everything he is. it would be called the angels death (cheesy again ik but I love angst) but he wouldn’t have to have a painful death like putting himself in hellfire.

so in short to stop my ranting he goes into his office one day, cries to himself since he has the chance to, writes a long letter to crowley of all the things he wished he said “I love you” and all that, sees crowley, they both are devastated to see each other again, it’s awkward asf with silence so Aziraphale puts the letter on the table, he states that this is their final meeting, and almost leaves until he’s stopped by crowley, they talk for a bit about everything, Aziraphale says what he’s doing (turning into a star) and that he won’t bother Crowley anymore, and crowley yet again stops him. he’s shocked by that but then sees how worn out Aziraphale looks and feels sm pain from the past/concern for him.

Aziraphale’s like hell no bc that could put crowley in danger but crowley then admitted that if Aziraphale didn’t come today he would’ve probably gotten the courage to drink the holy water he had stored somewhere. they both stand in shock, esp Aziraphale. Crowley looks away.

Aziraphale’s unsure of what to do but crowley wants to leave with Aziraphale or wants to do whatever he wished to do. then they both live in a house in space like in Zathura happy ever after the end. (Ofc not lol if anyone writes a fan fic based off this, make it as angst as possible but also throw in some very sweet/personal moments in there.) also if they do all this, make sure crowley keeps some spare holy water too just in case things go wrong and Aziraphale later finds it, just an extra angst scenario for u to add haha.

now that my rants over this should be more than enough inspo for anyone. have fun and byee

💕 - favorite relationship in the Gang?

fred + velmas friendship means SO much to me u have no idea like numero uno blowout beach bash is my best friend for what it did for them but its just how the crux of their relationship is how theyre able to relate to each other most - like while that element of relatability between them is obscured or more implicit in some iterations (sdmi for example) i think its SUCH an important facet of their relationship. they are two sides of the same coin u know. they bounce off of each other SO well whether its them putting their heads together or lightheartedly teasing the other. the whats new era + be cool did so much for the velma + fred bestie truthers

👗- favorite outfit(s) worn by the Gang?

tbh im a certified Fan of their outfits in frighthouse of a lighthouse + loch ness monster like theyre not the MOST different outfits in the world but i think theyre silly….loch ness monster more specifically actually bc we get bucket hat velma there

i also love like. all of their snow outfits like u cant go wrong with those tbh!!! be cool in particular has great subtle variation throughout which i enjoy. also also like EVERY scrappy outfit ever i do not care seeing them put him in these absolutely MINUSCULE outfits makes me tear up…..hes so baby….

AUGHHH its SO hard picking b/w my top 2 so ill say both: cyber chase + the sword and the scoob!!!!! the former i think while couldve benefitted from a larger cast i still love so mucb like it reads like such a love letter to the franchise to me its hard to articulate why i love it so much!!! it just makes me feel warm n sometimes thats all u need. wrt the latter i really really love the character + relationship writing in it!!! it feels so deeply GENUINE to me that i can even brush over one of my least fave aspects of the modern character writing (extreme skeptic velma) bc i have so much fun with it. like man when im watching this movie im kicking my feet througjout purely bc of the characters n their relationships….i dont even care about the mystery hugely though i think the idea of them being in a performance is cool i think it coulda been executed better (and they shouldve been in wales not england smh smh) but tbh whatever. the sword and the scoob is my best friend <333

SO HARD AGAIN BUT gotta be equally whats new, thirteen ghosts + be cool

whats new IS partly bc its the one from my childhood (even if i wasnt actually a scooby fan back then + was actually scared of it lol…can u imagine) but it radiates comfort for me. the theme song alone is to make me just feel purely happy u know….but anyway besides that i love the overall character writing in wsnd!!! its the last show we got with casey kasem + ill always love the snark he brought to shaggys character which is very apparent in this show. daphnes resourcefulness takes center stage which is always just super funny and endearing like girl i dont think thats supposed to work but <333 velma is portrayed as sarcastic but its never meanspirited like its made CLEAR how much she loves her friends. theyre just all so silly and love each other sooo much….

thirteen ghosts i havent actually finished yet BUT despite that its literally already at the top for me lol like firstly i love the premise - its a breakaway from the traditional scooby formula but honestly by the structuring of the episodes u wouldnt think so!!! that different take is executed VERY well imo. the cast of characters r all so very endearing like they r family…. ive always loved the decision to place daphne in a leadership role esp considering what its since engendered. flim flam is SUCH a little guy. hes a witty kid who gives great balance to the cast n his relationships w vincent + scrappy are SO!!! good honestly. vincent is funny like his entire predicament reminds me of thay thing like “found family but its a group of kids who adopt an old guy instead of the other way around” u get it….

be cool is absolutely the funniest scoobh show like no question AND its got great writing to boot!!! ive talked about character + relationship writing a lot and thats just bc thats what really makes or breaks scooby media for me lol. for be cool it BEYOND makes it!!! their dynamic is so well done like bro they r teens. they are stupid 18 year olds with thwir collective dog bestie travelling around the united states and shenanigans occur. there are so many be cool episodes just stuck to my brain bc of how genuinely great they are. and its a show where yeah its goofy and silly and comedic but it can alsp be sooo genuine i love it <333 be cool my absolute beloved

I had a lot of fun the past week writing all these pieces! It was definitely a challenge, especially being so new to the fandom and trying to gauge how my interpretations of the characters fit into the narratives. I’m typically an angst writer, so the short piece about Kellye was a challenge, but I ended up being really proud of it! Also, the OC in both the fics with Father Mulcahy are the same OC. I’ll put some details about her down below! Those fics were both floating around in my head before the fic olympics started so yeah, it was self-indulgent. Apologies, lol. Her relationship with Mulcahy: they’ve been really close friends/best friends pretty much since Della joined the 4077th, which was just after Mulcahy did. He got very comfortable with her over time because she never tried to pull anything on him, but she wasn’t cautious around him and actually called him by his name (which is John in these stories bc I can’t keep up with how many times it’s changed, but he tells the other nurse to call him that so idk that’s what I went with). She’s very physically affectionate and likes to tease him, and she’s pretty much the only one who can get away with that. Aside from Hawkeye, she’s the only one that Mulcahy will be vulnerable in front of. 

While he’s shy, Della is a social butterfly, and she’s kinda wild when she wants to be, which makes him worry. It’s warranted, she’s a bit of a daredevil, lol. But when the roles are reversed and he pulls something reckless, she’s all over him. And again, aside from Hawkeye, she’s the only one that’s comforted him/seen him cry, and also is the only one that knows how to handle him when he gets sorta panicky (I wrote in another post somewhere that I headcanon him as having terrible anxiety). They both love each other a lot and overall it’s a very playful relationship, but don’t mess with either of them because you will feel the other one’s wrath. 

When it comes to jealousy, Della knows she gets jealous and tries not to, but ultimately fails. Mulcahy on the other hand doesn’t understand why his chest feels so tight when he sees her off with some guy or hears the other men talking about her (she sometimes sleeps around and dates but it’s really only because she can’t have the person she really wants. Or at least she thinks she can’t). They both have rather intense feelings for each other, but Della never said anything because she figured she could never have him and he never said anything bc of his vows and also a lot of denial. TLDR; they’re chaotic and playful but also very emotionally close and care about each other a lot. Best friends fr. 

Other random facts about Della:

-she’s incredibly perceptive to subtle changes in people and their moods

-99% of the time is chaotic and playful but when something happens or someone is upset she immediately cools to like 1% and is incredibly gentle. It’s like whiplash, honestly. 

-she’s terrified of birds. Especially chickens. But somehow, hot chicken sandwiches are her favourite...

-she has a friend back home who is deaf and knows very basic ASL

-her mother died when she was a teenager

-she’s from Philadelphia, PA, just like Mulcahy, but they never met before the war

-she became a nurse and moved into an apartment with her best friend, but her friend moved out when she got married, and now Della just has a vacant room in her apartment back home

-she shares a tent with Nurses Kellye, Baker, and Able

-Klinger knows she has feelings for Mulcahy but never says anything about it. Just sort of gives her a knowing look

-Frank actually doesn’t bully her like he does with a lot of the others. He actually seems to like her. And everyone is bewildered by this. But Della is a little shit and will use it to her advantage to help the others

-Mulcahy may be camp therapist tm but Della is group therapist tm. She’s also the only one who knows how to calm Mulcahy when he’s anxious (I head canon that he has horrible anxiety but I’m likely just projecting but its fine) and is the only one (other than Margaret and BJ/Trapper) who can calm Hawkeye when he’s it one of his rants or is overstimulated (back on my ADHD/Autistic!Hawkeye bs)

-She used to play field hockey

-She finds her dress uniform too stuffy and would much rather wear her worn in fatigues instead

-She’s a night owl and goes on walks a lot at night after stressful days

A while back, I started writing the scene in the Superhero/villain AU where Stan meets Pa McGucket, bc I love writing villainous Pa McGucket so much.  I never got around to finishing the scene, though.

...Until today.  Enjoy.

              Stan opened the door to Angie’s hospital room.  He proudly held up the cup of water he’d been sent to get.

              “Took me a while, Ang, but I-”  The words died in his throat.  While he’d been gone, Angie’s family had arrived.  Both of her parents and all five of her older siblings were crowded around her bed, cooing over the newborns.  Stan recognized Angie’s mom, Sally, her older brother Fiddleford, and her twin, Lute, but the others were strangers.  Angie smiled weakly at him.

              “Stan, this is my fam’ly.”  Stan nodded. “You’ve met my ma.”  Stan nodded again.  “My pa’s the one holdin’ Danny.”  The middle-aged man who had Danny nestled in his arms scowled at Stan. He looked eerily like Lute, a fact that didn’t ease Stan’s nerves.  Lute was very explicit about his less-than-charitable feelings towards Stan. “Basstian is-” Angie continued. Her father put a hand on her shoulder.

              “Junebug, why don’t ya wait on the introductions,” he said smoothly.  He handed Danny to his wife.  “I want to have a talk with Stan, first.”

              “Oh- okay,” Angie stammered.  “Sorry,” she mouthed at Stan.  Mr. McGucket marched over to Stan, grabbed his shoulder, and shoved him out into the hallway.  Stan’s brain kicked into overdrive at the display of aggression.

              Okay, his power is plants, right? He can control them?  Yeah, that’s what Angie said.  Mr. McGucket dragged him to an isolated corner.  And his name.  What’s his name?  It’s somethin’ weird.  Mr. McGucket crossed his arms.

              “Explain yourself,” he snarled.  Stan held up his hands placatingly.

              “Look, Mearl, I-”

              “It’s Mr. McGucket to you, boy,” Mr. McGucket spat.  A nearby potted plant sprouted a few new leaves.

              Yep.  His power is plants.

              “You’ve got some nerve,” Mr. McGucket continued.  “Gettin’ my daughter pregnant, weaslin’ yer way into her life, and then not even gettin’ her to the hospital in time to give birth.”

              “Hey, I’m pissed about that, too,” Stan shot back.  “I didn’t want my brother to deliver my kids.  But Lute didn’t believe me when I said Angie was in labor.”  Mr. McGucket seemed taken aback.

              “Lute’s fault?  Is that so?”

              “Yes!  My brother’s doctorate isn’t in medicine, why the hell would I want him involved when my kids were born?  Angie and I had a plan.  I would fly her to the hospital since she couldn’t fly and there was construction. But my coworkers called and insisted that I come help, and I couldn’t get out of it.  Angie was still barely in labor, so I thought I would be back in time, but then things started happening fast, and like I said, Lute didn’t believe me, and by the time I got back home, I missed the birth of my daughters.”  The words tumbled out of Stan like they tended to around Angie’s disapproving relatives.  Stan caught his breath.  He waited for Mr. McGucket to respond.

              “Hmph.”  Mr. McGucket took off his glasses and idly polished them with his shirt, a carefully neutral expression on his face.  “That’s a fair point, that ya missed yer daughters’ birth.  From what I’ve heard ‘bout ya, from both my wife and my daughter, that’s not somethin’ you wanted one whit.”

              “No.  I wanted to be there.”

              “Mm-hmm.  And Lute does have a tendency to not listen to folks if he don’t like ‘em.”  Mr. McGucket put his glasses back on.  “Stan, I’m goin’ to ask ya a few questions now, and ya need to be truthful when ya answer ‘em, okay?”

              “I was gonna tell the truth anyways.”  Mr. McGucket scowled.  “…Yes, I’ll be honest.”

              “Good.  The first question I have for ya regards yer…career.”

              “Okay.”

              “If, fer some reason, somethin’ happened that made it impossible fer you to continue yer hero work unless you cut off contact with Angie and the kids, would ya stop bein’ a hero?”

              “Yes,” Stan said immediately.  Mr. McGucket raised an eyebrow.  “I- I’ve actually thought about that.  If the only way I could take care of Angie and my daughters was to stop being a hero and cut off all my ties with my squad, I wouldn’t even think about it. I’d just do it.”  Mr. McGucket nodded slightly.

              “I’m glad to hear that.  Now, would ya ever try to make Angie switch sides, or raise yer daughters to be heroes?”

              “No.  Angie’s too proud of her heritage.  All I’d do by trying to get her to become a hero is push her away.  And we agreed that we’ll raise the girls neutrally, so that they can choose which side they want to fight for when they’re old enough.”

              “Excellent.”  Mr. McGucket crossed his arms.  He leaned forward.  “You seem to be pretty fam’ly-oriented, boy.  My daughter said yer mother is a hero?”

              “Yeah.  Retired, but, yeah.  She’s why I got into the hero game.”

              “Hmm.  Would she ever be a concern?”

              “Angie and I haven’t told her that Angie’s a villain, if that’s what you’re asking.”

              “Yes, it is what I’m askin’.”  Mr. McGucket narrowed his eyes.  “And yer father?”

              “Out of the picture.”

              “Really?”

              “He kicked me outta the house before I was eighteen,” Stan said.  Mr. McGucket leaned back, clearly thrown off-guard.  “Not all of my scars are from fighting villains.” Mr. McGucket’s eyes widened.

              “Pardon?”

              “You heard me,” Stan mumbled, abruptly realizing he had accidentally shared information even Angie didn’t know.  He looked away.

              Why did I say that?

              “Stanley, what I just heard ya say was that yer father abused you,” Mr. McGucket said in a low voice.  “Is that correct?”  After a moment, Stan nodded reluctantly.  “Goodness gracious.”  Stan looked back at Mr. McGucket.  Mr. McGucket shook his head.  “That ain’t right.”  Stan remembered a conversation he’d had with Angie a month ago.

              “I’m just sayin’,” Stan said, handing Angie a sandwich on a plate, “you don’t really seem like a villain.”

              “You need to widen yer narrow-minded view of the world,” Angie said, shaking her head.  She rested the plate on top of her large baby bump.  “I’m a villain, through and through.  Always have been.”

              “But I’ve seen how you and Lute fight.  You never hurt civilians.  You only target places that can handle it.  And I’ve never seen you guys get involved in any of the really bad scenes, like drugs.”

              “That’s how we were raised,” Angie said with a shrug. “My folks aren’t traditional villains. Sure, we break the law.  Sure, we’ve infiltrated high levels of government before. But we don’t hurt those who are already hurtin’.  We only injure those who get in our way.  We don’t get our kicks from punchin’ homeless people.  My siblin’s ‘n myself, we were raised with strong moral compasses.  A sense of right and wrong.”

              “You still break the law.”

              “You said you noticed we never target mom ‘n pop stores,” Angie shot back.  “Like I said, we go after people what can take a beating.”

              “Yeah, but-”

              “And if you want to talk ‘bout right and wrong,” Angie interrupted, “how ‘bout we discuss the heroes that kick out their kids? Not all villains come from villainous fam’lies.  There are plenty of villains who were disowned by their hero parents fer not goin’ into heroism, or fer bein’ gay, or fer bein’ a dif’rent gender than they were given at birth.  There’s nothin’ right about that.  But the heroes get away with it.  ‘Cause they’re the ‘good guys’.”

              “How- how do you know that happens?”

              “I’ve met ‘em.  My fam’ly hosted a lot of runaways and homeless teens when I was growin’ up.”  Angie picked at her sandwich absentmindedly.  “My folks, they told us, ‘See?  This is what happens.  Heroes only accept those that fit their narrow views of what is right and what is good. Remember that we’re better than the heroes, ‘cause we accept everyone.’”

              “I’m sorry you had to go through that,” Mr. McGucket said, drawing Stan out of the memory.  Stan stared at him in astonishment.  “No child should have to grow up in a household where a parent lays a hand on ‘em.”

              “I mean…yeah.  It sucked.” Mr. McGucket nodded somberly.  “But it also made me determined to do better than him.  To be better than him.  I tracked Angie down when I realized she was pregnant with my kid because I always wanted to be a better dad than mine was.”  Mr. McGucket smiled.

              “Yer a good guy, Stanley.  And I don’t mean that in the sense of how ya fight my children.  I mean that in the sense of what’s inside you.”  Stan opened and closed his mouth silently.  “I’ve known a lot of heroes who were bad guys. Took in some of their children, actually.  There’s too many people what have only known a home filled with anger and bruises.  I wanted them to experience one filled with love and warmth.”  Mr. McGucket looked off into the distance, his eyes misty.  “I’ve spent plenty of time interactin’ with heroes and villains. I know there’s no true moral consensus between all members of each side.  There’s bad folks who are heroes, good folks who are villains, and, like some of my former coworkers, bad folks who are villains.  Ya can’t trust what someone is like based on what side they’re on. Ya have to judge ‘em yourself.” Mr. McGucket patted Stan on the shoulder.  “If my daughter had to get involved with a hero, at least she got involved with one of the good ones.”  His smile was fatherly, his gray eyes twinkled with warmth.

Being the younger sister to 'The Strongest Sorcerer' was not an easy task. Yeah sure you loved him and everything but he just needs to shut his mouth sometimes. You guys were pretty close growing up despite your large age gap, he was the best big brother you could have asked for......sometimes. The current situation had arisen after you joined your brother's class in the first year at Jujutsu Tech. You got along with the other students instantly. Going on missions with each other, spending nights watching movies, and eating as much pizza as you could fit in your mouth. You loved and cared for all of them but one, in particular, held a special place in your heart. Nobara Kugisaki was the most beautiful girl you had ever laid eyes on. Her short red hair and deep brown eyes you could get lost in. Her confident attitude and tendencies to take charge in intense situations drew her to you. As much as you tried to hide your feelings for the sake of your friendship, it was very obvious to someone else. The day was moving very slowly as you sat in class, not paying attention to what was happening. Your eyes started to drift to the redhead, sitting diagonally in front of you. From this angle, she wouldn't be able to see you admiring her delicate facial features or the way she would smile whenever Yuji confidently got an answer wrong.

"Y/N, have anything to share with the class? It looks like your zoning out there."

You snap your head forward at the call of your name. Your older brother has a smug look on his face, he knew what he was doing. You apologize for your lack of focus and the lesson continues. Asshole.

After class Gojo calls you to stay back a bit. You knew what he wanted to talk about so you reluctantly stayed behind.

"So, what did you wanna talk about?" You ask, pretending to have no idea what he's talking about.

"You seemed awful distracted during class today. Wanna tell me why." He had his stupid smile plastered over his face.

"I didn't sleep well last night. I was just thinking about stuff." You tried to ignore the blush slowly creeping up your neck.

"Yeah, think about Kugisaki." He laughed. At this point, your face was feeling hot with embarrassment.

"That's not-NO I-" You couldn't think of the right words to say after your brother exposing you like that, covering your face in your hands out of embarrassment.

"Awwwwwww, look at that. My little sister has a crush." He swayed back and forth on the balls of his feet as he teased you.

"I don't." You said with a serious look on your face in hopes of throwing him off your trail.

"Yeah right. I can smell a lie from miles away." You couldn't outsmart him. Guess all that was left to do was come clean.

"Fine, I do. Can I go now?" You were already tired from your long day at school and now you had to put up with his antics.

"That's cute. You know, I think she likes you two." You looked back at him almost offended. Did he think he could trick you into believing that?

"Yeah right. I get that your power is great but your six eyes can't read people's minds."

"Not their minds but any normal person can read body language. She's always so entranced by the way you speak or how she laughs at your horrible jokes." As you listened to your brother he started to make sense. You always assumed that she was only being a good friend, that you were the one captivated by her.

"Whatever, now can I go?" You asked annoyed.

"Maybe I should tell her about your little feelings." He smirked as you started to walk away.

"Tell her anything and I swear I will pull those pretty little eyes out of your head." You threatened but all he did was laugh.

"Fine, fine. I won't say anything but you should tell her. Life is short Y/N." He patted your shoulder and he left the room. You quickly chased after your brother.

"What should I say to her? I don't know how to do this," you asked, feeling defeated by your own emotions. You expected a smart-ass response from him but he only stood quietly, thinking over what to say.

"Just tell her how you feel, oh, and what you like about her." You didn't expect him to take your question seriously. Looking at him, he pulled his blindfold down. You saw the sincerity in his eyes as he gave you his advice.

"Be honest, don't shy away from what you want or else you'll end up regretting it." You smiled. You never really had a moment like this between the two of you before since Gojo was usually all fun and games but it felt nice to open up to him.

"You know, you give good advice when you're not being an asshole." You poke his side.

"That's why I'm the best big brother." He slung an arm over your shoulder (Why does this man need to be so damn tall) and you two walked back to the dorms.

The next day quickly arrived. You had spent all night planning what you were going to say to Nobara when the two of you had a moment alone. As if he was playing cupid, Gojo separated the class so that you and Nobara had time alone to work while Megumi and Yuji trained in a different area. The two of you had all your books laid out messily over the picnic table outside. She needs a little bit of help before the next big test so you offered to help.

"I'm so glad you hear to help me. I suck at this." You brushed it off and continued working through some questions. Now or Never you thought.

"Hey Nobara, random question. I was thinking of telling my crush I like them, any idea's on what I should do?" The question was open-ended enough. She looked up a bit confused and slightly hurt.

"Oh, umm. I don't know. I've never really done anything like that." She looked back down as if you never asked the question and continued to work.

"I was only wondering cause I like this person and I wanted to finally tell them. I was thinking of just being upfront about it but maybe you know a better way?"

"I think being upfront about it is good." She stopped working and looked up at you. You found yourself staring into her eyes, not able to look away.

"I...I really, really like you Nobara." You said out loud. After looking at her you knew that you couldn't hold back anymore. The way her hair perfectly framed her rosy cheeks made you feel warm inside. Her eyes opened in shock at your confession. She sat there not saying anything as her face began to turn red.

"I knew I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry, just pretend like i-"

"I like you too." She blurted out, cutting your sentence short. Gojo was right (which wasn't a common occurrence).

"Wait?" You were in complete shock. She slowly nodded her head as she tried to hide the flustered look on her face. You started to laugh causing her to smile at you.

"I don't know what to say." Your face felt hot after your confession.

"Don't say anything." You looked to her, confused by her words. Making eye contact, she leaned in and your lips met finally. It was a slow and tender kiss, one of happiness and bliss. Her lips were plump and soft on yours. You reached and cupped her face in your hand as you deepened the kiss. You pulled away out of shock and need for air. Her eyes were full of love as her face was tinted a light shade of pink. You didn't know how to respond to the situation.

"I knew it!" You both looked to the side where Gojo was standing with Megumi and Yuji behind him. The basted had the biggest smile on his face. Megumi had a subtle shocked look while Yuji's jaw hit the floor. You both looked away after getting caught. Gojo came up behind you and started talking about how he was right and pestering you while your two other classmates just watched their teacher harass the two of you.

"look at my little sister all grown up." He grabbed your chin and smushed your cheeks in his large hand.

"Stop it Satoru." You waved him off of you.

"Say I'm the best big brother and I'll leave you alone."

"Not happening." He slouched over your shoulder. His tall and lanky frame doubling over you.

"Okay fine, you the best big brother."

"Ever?"

"Ever." He stood up tall and congratulated the two of you. Nobara still reeling from embarrassment.

"Usually I would give you two a long speech about you getting pregnant but I don't think I need to worry about that."

"Satoru!" You shouted as he ran away.

Maki Zenin

Being a second year at Jujutsu tech meant you didn't have to put up with your older brother as your teacher anymore. The freedom you felt was overwhelming. You got to know your fellow second years quite well during your time. You and panda like to brawl with each other now and then. You can understand Toge quite well now. The person you were the closest with by far was Maki Zenin. As the only two girls in your year, you guys spend a lot of time together. Where spending hours talking when you should be sleeping or trying to outdo each other at Mario cart (Currently you are in the lead) you guys were inseparable, practically joined at the hip. Because you guys were so close you started to catch feelings for her very quickly while in your first year but you brushed it off as a sisterly like love. After growing and realizing just how much you truly cared for her you started to confide in your older brother, Gojo. You two became quite close while you attended Jujutsu Tech so much so that you started to have proper grown-up conversations (Or as grown-up as Gojo can be). He would make fun of you for your feeling but you could make just as much fun of him when it came to him not knowing how to be a real adult. Make fun of how skinny he is and he will fold like a lawn chair.

It was just another day after class. It was boiling outside and the school didn't have good air conditioning in their classes so you decided to go bother your brother in the staff lounge.

"You know your not supposed to be in here," Gojo said while on his phone. You plopped down on the long couch, dying of heatstroke.

"What are you gonna do? Kick me out. I'd like to see you try." You guys sat in silence for a minute while you recovered your strength to talk to him.

"It is so hot outside." You mutter.

"I think that's what happens during the summer." He responds with a smirk. You just grumble at him.

"You talk to Maki yet?" He quickly changed the subject. He's been on your ass about it ever since you told you were going to tell her your feeling...2 months ago.

"I'll do it when I want to. What do you know about feeling." You said rhetorically.

"I am an expert on love. I have had my fair share of it."

"Sleeping with anybody who takes the slightest interest in you isn't love, it's called being a man whore."

"Hey, take that back!" He pointed at you all dramatic-like. He knew it was true but hearing it come out of his little sister's mouth had a different impact.

"No. Your a man child who never considers other people's feelings so that makes you a man whore." You smile at him. He started at you with a competitive grin.

"I think I need to go have a little conversation with Maki." Gojo then teleported out of the room before you could grab a hold of him. Before thinking about it, you sprinted out of the room to find him. Running up and down the halls, you found the two of them talking in the main corridor. You run-up to the two of them out of breath from sprinting in the heat.

"So Maki-san. What do you have to say about this." You look to Gojo horrified. Did he tell her about your true feelings? Looking to Maki who had a relatively calm look on her face.

"I mean I feel the same way, I don't know why you had to make such a big deal of it Gojo-sensei." You were startled by her words. Did she like you? Gojo backed up a bit to give you some space but he stayed close enough to hear you two.

"Wait really, you do?"

"Yeah of course." She seemed so calm it was almost scary.

"Maki I, I really like you. Like a lot. I was scared to say anything cause I didn't want to ruin our friendship." You blushed after finally coming clean.

"Wait, what?" She looked shocked and confused. You looked horrified.

"What did he say to you?"

"Umm, he said that you were happy to have me as a best friend." That asshole. He tricked you into confessing.

"I'm sorry I sh-"

"No, I...kinda like you too." Maki looked down a bit. Her golden eyes portray strong emotions. After all the confusion you didn't know how to react. You brought her into a tight hug and snuggled your face into her neck to which she reciprocated. You pulled back and pecked her check causing her to get flustered.

Personality (good and bad traits): Ever since I was a kid, I was always quite mature for my age – I identify myself as an old soul. I come off as polite and well-mannered to strangers, yet I tend to keep it to myself by being reserved. But, that’s because I have social anxiety and I’m nervous and shy when meeting/talking to people. The only people I’m comfortable with being with my inner circle – closest friends and family. I am usually more “open” with my friends than with my family. With my friends I can be my “truest-self” – I smile more, I laugh more, I feel more accepted and understood. I am the mom and the fashionista of the group. Don’t get me wrong, I am fiercely protective of my family, especially of my mother and younger sister. But, lately, I’ve been feeling like the “black sheep” of the family, Cinderella who’s been taken advantage of. I express my affection for the people I care about in little, but practical, ways. I can be a little stiff when it comes to open, gushy displays of affection. Others turn to me for help and advice. I’m kind-hearted and generous, always ready to help a person in need. That is why I’m having a bit of a struggle with deciding what I want to do in the future (career-wise). I am easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. There is a self-destructive side to me (self-critical, lack of self-confidence) that I’m working on by confronting my fears (coming out of my shell). Don’t like taking pictures, or other people taking pictures of me. I feel most content when I’ve straightened out all the details of everyday life. I have a routine, that I follow by mostly every day, and if something small changes in that routine, I start to have a small internal anxiety attack. Also, I like to do things my own way, like, when it comes to cleaning the house or organizing stuff, etc. I get triggered even if people don’t do the laundry the way I do. I guess you could describe me as a perfectionist, clean/control freak. In triggering situations I can be impulsive, spontaneous, quick to act. Quick flare-ups of anger/annoyance when being provoked on my patience. Even when I’m feeling low, I manage to find humor in life and have fun with whatever I do have. Although I tend to bottle things up, I am an emotional person and my emotions are genuine – I love and care deeply and passionately and wish no ill will upon anyone, yet it hards for me to imagine someone falling in love with me or just liking me.

Hobbies, likes: My hobbies are cleaning, writing (re-writing song lyrics, making small notes, writing stories), listening to any type of music, catching up on my favorite films and TV shows, hanging out with friends, going to the cinema, or the club, being out in nature, reading, traveling. I like history, cooking, fashion magazines (or fashion in general), road trips, spirituality, mythology, books, orange juice, previous decades, cottage-core, dark academia.

For the MCU/Marvel - I ship you with Steve Rogers/Captain America ! 

no one can tell me that Steve doesn’t have a set routine honestly, so let me just get that out there 

he seems intimidating at first, esp as a public figure and Avenger, but Steve is nothing but passionate about what he does. so it may clash w your lack of direction, but I could honestly see him envying that a lil bit, like it’s not that you don’t have direction, it’s the fact that you still have a choice in the matter. 

your love of history put you in a museum, here you bumped into Steve in a horrible disguise. he struck up the conversation first, and once you got past the whole “holy crap that’s Captain America”, you could actually engage with him in the material and boi was he smitten 

he would love to join you when your rewatched your fave things, bc not only is he catching up on more media he missed out on, he’s also getting to know your interests in a way that’s comfortable with you. it avoids all the small talk, but leaves room for discussion after the film/show ! 

since you tend to sponge up a lot of what other people believe, it’s totally Steve who actually tries to question what you think and what you feel about things. he’s someone who encourages you to have your own opinions and to stay true to those thoughts. so while with him, you can rely on him to learn about yourself, you also gain skills for independence

overall, Steve is super patient, and despite his chaotic job as Cap, he takes comfort in his routine, and would find comfort incorporating a partner’s routine into his life. and as you grow in a relationship with him, he’s patient about teaching you how to be your own person, and helping you learn more about yourself. and while it’s uncomfortable, you grow stronger throughout being with him :)

Bilbo is the definition of introvert, and you're right there with him

not that introversion is ever a bad thing, bc it isn't. but Bilbo is quite content to sit in his little hobbit hole and vibe. like Gandalf had to come find him, ya know. dude disappeared from his own bday.

but anyways. it's not that Bilbo lacks purpose, it's just that he's more content with a quieter life. and it seems like his quiet life would balance you out well! like the Shire is so so chill, and there doesn't really seem to be a lot of pressure on the hobbits to pick a profession. like they just genuinely do what needs to get done.

similarly, Bilbo is the type who seems a little bothered by mushy displays of affection. exhibit a: disappearing from his own bday. like he's much more the type to refill your tea when y'all are reading by the fireplace, which he would totally do w you

it will probs take you a little while to warm up to each, given just how introverted you both are. but when he explains that he has set ways of doing things, then if they're compatible w your ways of doing things, then it doesn't take you long to open up to him

like it'll be a little jarring, but he takes comfort in his routines too. and it'll be an event trying to incorporate both of your ways of life together, but he's willing to do it

overall, yours is a very quaint partnership, built on deep respect for one another. neither of you are going to push the other to do things you aren't into. and y'all just live your best lives together tbh :)

so Illya is the epitome of reserved and generally quiet, so it might take a while to really break down his walls and talk to him. and he's not quite sure what to do with you once you join the team

but, he's playing his game of chess alone, and when you sit down and ask to play with him, he opens up a little more after that

if you're one who get sent out on mission with the team, get ready, bc sometimes those missions require a lot of improvising. but you'd probably be at whatever 'base' was, helping run operations from a more secure place. but Illya and Napoleon improvise a lot, leading to a lot of headaches for you and Waverly

Illya has small bursts of anger, but similar to Gaby, most times, you can intervene and he doesn't get violent. or when he does, he tries to make sure it isn't in front of you. but bc you care so deeply for him, you're there for him in the aftermath. and that's how you show your love for him.

by patching him up if he gets cut, by talking him down when he's angry. and just generally trying to take care of him. and he totally does the same for you, especially if you get sent out into the field

and much to Illya's dismay, Solo doesn't refrain form making jokes about you. but if you can take them in stride, then Solo welcomes you into the team just as well :)

And I've heard something about the OG J*nsa shippers being alienated by the new shippers who insisted it had to be canon and acted like the series is called, "A song of J*nsa #danysux." I don't find that hard to believe because I know people who are now ashamed of calling themselves J*nsa shippers. Like, at this point, it's not only rival shippers who hate it. Even Gendrya/Braime/Jon stans/etc have started disliking that ship. You know your fandom is a problem when people who have nothing to do with Jnsa have a problem with it.

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

I think that in Lorgars route the good ending would be if he became the architect of the heresy (because I heard a lot of people say that it would’ve been more plausible for Lorgar to heresy instead of Horus). Also for a bonus you personally get to beat the shit out of Erebus, Kor Phaeron and the Emperor.

Now on the other hand, the bad ending is where the MC either gets manipulated by and/or helps manipulate Lorgar with, Kor Phaeron. Because to put it simply, I feel like the only way Kor would let you be in Lorgar’s life is by playing by his rules, and that means either manipulating Lorgar or being manipulated yourself. Also if you don’t do what Erebus tells you to do there is a chance he might just sacrifice you to the chaos gods. So that’s a thing

i mean it DOES depend on what you mean by architect of the heresy because that's a very nebulous title. if you mean archtraitor i think lorgar just was not high enough to fall off of to become archtraitor since he was one of the Punished Primarchs:tm: (alongside yk... magnus, angron, konrad, and i'm counting in jaghatai khan as a honorary member). if you mean just planning the heresy, i mean, to some extent he did? and what horus planned felt like stuff horus would plan. i guess you could involve him with magnus's fall since he got along with magnus and iirc also with leman and also he had that whole thing of like... like y'know how he made angron into a daemon 'for his own good' (i'm simplifying HUGELY but y/k). so that would be interesting if he was involved in the way horus was kind of involved!

(my only source for lorgar being respected by leman pre-everything atm is just some wiki mentioning it a few years ago and it being imprinted into my brain, i will add, but i think it's cool enough that it deserves to be canon. but if there's canon evidence against it let me know and i'll amend my post lol)

your idea for a bad ending is very cool and Narsty and Feelsbadman, which is super important a quality for a bad end to a visual novel (shivers in zero escape), but i feel like lorgar is not as easily manipulated esp. by kor phaeron? like they have a very deeply wacked out relationship but from my blurry memories of reading the first heretic already by the time of monarchia lorgar was less outright listening to his counsel and more humoring him with a sigh. like he listened to kor phaeron and erebus but he already took them both with a lot of grains of salt yknow

also while writing this i had the idea for another bad ending (there can be multiple bad endings, why not) where you try to keep a post-monarchia lorgar on the imperium's side, where he does stay by his father's side and keep worshiping him in secret and there's no heresy but you have to watch him slowly waste away and become obsessed with his own faith and the emperor punishes him worse and worse every time he's found out and he isolates himself from all his siblings etc etc etc, which i think would be a very fun trap for more... classically minded 40k fans to fall into, considering a lot of people think "well if lorgar had just stayed loyal we wouldn't be in this mess!" etc

all good, all good! i’m glad you enjoy because i have SO much fun writing them out, even if you and i are the only people who actually click “read more.” anyways. thoughts. i have so many. oh god. i know you said not to apologize but. this is so much. and i only covered the friend thing, i didn’t even talk about skills. i will def think on that though because i have opinions on everything. well here we go i guess: 

i think one of the things i experienced in college was just a huge influx of opportunity. like. i was living with people that i saw all the time and thus became friends with them, and then friends with their friends, and then people in my classes, and people in the extracurricular projects i did-- like. there were just so many new people, and i go to a relatively small school. 

all of that being said, my experiences are (a) only my own, and i don’t think that everyone does this, and (b) very, very, very american. like. the quintessential “die over college apps and then thrive in college” american experience. i’m sure that a lot of my experiences wouldn’t apply in japan (just based on what i know from other media i’ve consumed / people i’ve talked to), but some of them are pretty universal, i think. 

okay all of that out of the way. i think that haruhi is going to have a very similar experience to me in that she doesn’t have a huge world outside of the hosts while at ouran, but once she gets to university, she’ll really thrive and branch out and find Her People, you know? over the course of the manga, she progressively learns to take initiative in things, as well as keep herself from burning out over that, and i think that’s something she continues to work on throughout university. 

tamaki would also be able to branch out a bit, but at the end of the day, the hosts are his family. the hosts are the people he cares about. he definitely makes other friends, and definitely cares about them, but he loves the hosts. i think he has trouble prioritizing anything other than the other hosts, which makes it hard to make new friends, at first. 

once he figures out that you can like. have multiple friend groups, he’s great. he also, i think, has to really accept that the other hosts are at different universities and are going to be making new friends, too, and he’s not going to be their “king” anymore. they’re all going to have to find different paths, and he has a lot of trouble accepting that for the others, even more so than he has trouble with it for himself. 

kaoru does a similar thing to tamaki, i think, where he has trouble making friends only because he has trouble accepting that everyone else is also doing new things without him. especially hikaru. we see him-- in both the manga and in the anime-- have trouble with the idea that their little family is going to break up, almost to the same extent that tamaki fears it. i think that really holds him back for a while, but once he accepts that, though everyone is moving on, they all still love each other, he’ll be able to make new friends. 

and oh god once he starts making friends, kaoru goes for it. he branches out wildly in university. he’s spent his whole life just sharing everything with hikaru, and once he starts trying to find out who he is apart from hikaru, he tries everything. he dyes his hair. he dresses like an e-boy. he joins a band, and then quits immediately. he wears dresses. he learns to do make up better than anyone else he knows. he takes every class he can. 

he also burns out, i think, probably during his second year of trying everything new and figuring himself out. once he recovers from that lapse, where he kind of gives up on everything, he then settles down into being a person that he’s happy with. jesus christ ok there’s this really good demon-megane post that i have been trying to find for AGES that i simply cannot find, about how kaoru and hikaru are when they get to university and have to work on their codependent relationship. i think about this post every fucking day. it’s so good and it’s so relevant rn. i’m gonna go looking for it again later. 

okay and this is gonna be a hot take, but i don’t think that honey and mori figure out how to make friends at university either, at least not until everyone else has graduated ouran and is off to university. in the manga, it’s honestly like they didn’t even graduate-- they go back to ouran for a lot of lunches, and they see the other hosts all of the time. i don’t think that, if they’re doing that, then they’re going to be able to make many friends at university. 

but once everyone has graduated, i think that they’d be able to branch out better. as soon as they don’t have a significant fear of missing out on host club shenanigans and their old friends’ lives, they can kind of move on and find other people-- which is just. gonna be so good for them. mori, especially, would have a great time in college trying out new things without worrying about honey (mori has eldest daughter syndrome, change my mind). honey has always been popular and charismatic, and once he truly moves on from ouran emotionally, i think he’s going to have a great time making friends. 

and on the other end of the spectrum, i think kyoya would be. suffering. like. he’s friendly with people, but he doesn’t have friends. he’s so focused on studying himself to death that he doesn’t have time for emotionally valuable friendships, and i don’t think he really wants them either. like i said in that last post, i think he’s pretty satisfied with what he’s got, and he’s not going to want to branch out much. also i wrote an entire fic about this lmao. 

similarly, hikaru would have the worst time trying to make friends. i think that he has one of the most impressive character arcs throughout the manga, but he still has a long ways to go in terms of his social skills. and if we’re talking anime-only, hikaru has absolutely no idea how to like. be a good friend. he’s so used to just using people that it’s hard to not do that. and even then, he’s so wrapped up in the hosts that he doesn’t really know how to find other people.

side note, but i think he’d also have a lot of trouble at ouran after tamaki + kyoya graduate, because he really just doesn’t know how to find people outside of the hosts. during university, he probably has a lot of trouble figuring himself out-- what he wants to do with his life, with his career, with people. he doesn’t like. seek out clubs, and just takes random classes, and doesn’t reach out to anyone. i love him so much, but he’s definitely a mess in university. he figures it out, i think, but it does take him a hot sec. he needs a year to learn how to stop burning bridges via anger issues, and how to not rely on kaoru for the social skill aspect of a friendship, and what he actually wants to do with himself. GOD. i’m thinking about that post AGAIN. every time i think about the twins i think about that post it is KILLING me. 

but in conclusion, all of the hosts miss each other so terribly during university, and they have such a rough time trying to figure out new relationships. except for haruhi, who fuckin thrives in university, except for the fact that she’s studying all of the time and doesn’t know how to manage her time. but that’s just the #college life. anyways i am SO curious to hear other people’s thoughts on this bc it’s a very very interesting question!

i have never in my life played volleyball outside of gym class and the occasional beach jaunt, so this is all based off of what i learned from haikyuu LOL

anyways, this started as tags from this fanart by @syblatortue​ of deku, kacchan, kiri, sero, iida and shouto as vball players, and then it got away from me so if you wanna read 2.9k worth of headcanons about powerhouse athletics high school UA then go ahead and press “read more” :)

deku's the calculating setter like kenma and he fanboys over stats from the international to the national to the high school

kacchan used to make fun of him and look down on him bc he used to think too much on court to move properly, and as a kid kacchan used to think that it was spiking or bust so he always gave deku grief and bullied him over being slow and weak

in middle school kacchan was a starter since first year and eventually became the ace but deku was always second string setter

his athleticism was nothing to write home about but he was just good enough to make the bench

in their middle school tournament their starting setter got injured and deku had to step in to set for a match for the first time ever

powerhouse volleyball high school coach yagi toshinori is watching and he sees all the aborted plans in deku's setting choices

he sees the gutsy sets that miss and the one successful dump he did that threw everyone off-guard (even deku himself), and yagi remembers what it was like to be hungry for volleyball seeing the look in this kid's eyes and he recognizes the brain on him

their team loses there though bc the fact is that deku wasnt athletic enough to do it and kacchan is yelling and deku's crying

but yagi approaches deku (who freaks out bc all might is THE legendary vball player of their country, and the nation was SHOOK when after getting severely injured by a malicious spike in the wrong place he chose to coach high school vball, even if the school was a powerhouse school and also his alma mater lol)

but anyways deku babbles and fanboys even through his tears and says he got into UA but he's not sure he can make the vball team, and yagi says he sees the potential in deku's plays and if he trains hard every. single. day. from now until the tryouts at UA, he might make at least the bench

kacchan is angry to see deku at tryouts and fuckn RAGING when deku more or less keeps up bc deku got buff since their last high school match

unfortunately for kacchan he is actually the one most familiar with deku's playing since they trained together in middle school too, and he almost pops a blood vessel just thinking it but ever since deku started actually being able to get to the ball in time, vball has been more fun ‘cuz the things deku ends up doing are fucking batshit crazy and his sets are begrudgingly his favourite to hit

deku sets right where kacchan can just hit the ball as violently as he can, and it sounds like a bomb goes off when the spike hits the ground

(kacchan also obviously has the best serves and he mixes it up with the power ones like his ap shots, or floaters when he's strategic; he knows how to read the opposing team and either wait or serve really fast and serves up high to blind them like his flashbomb explosions, and he’s really arrogant about his serves but at least he can back it up as per classic kacchan)

anyways they become a really intimidating duo, apart but especially together, because despite the way deku still occasionally cowers from kacchan’s rage and kacchan is often yelling and antagonizing deku, they can read each other really smoothly on court and they match each other really easily, and they both go for the really gutsy shit no one else would think to try (like samu and tsumu going for the freak quick with samu setting kind of gutsy)

kacchan is also antagonizing af and calls the other team extras lol

but yeah, those two along with renown olympic vball player todoroki enji's son shouto are the three most intimidating first years at UA

enji has a very aggressive playing style and where he targets people on the opposing team specifically to make them sweat, makes them feel like he’s hot on their heels even from the other side of the net, always glaring, always strong

shouto hates it and hates the way his dad made him train day in and day out just because he had a good reaction time and instincts for the ball when he was young

fuyumi and natsuo were slow as kids and got immediately dismissed bc of it bc to enji if they werent athletic enough for the ideal vball playing style as children then theyd never be athletic enough to beat all might’s vball career and metrics in the future

touya was fast enough but he overtrained and strained his knees and then continued straining them to play anyways till they were permanently damaged, and by the time he graduated middle school, his doctor put him on orders to never ever ever do anything that might be overly strenuous for his knees ever again

anyways, shouto plays very cool and detached, like even when he spikes the ball right into your face you’ll feel like he wasn’t looking; he’s a middle blocker like suna, stays calm but uses his whole body

deku eventually convinces him that playing with fire every once in a while, especially when he spikes, can be a good thing because at the end of the day, his dad may have taught him the tricks but it’s shouto himself who’s playing, and so it’s not his dad’s style, it’s his own

also the spikes just aren’t as good or as psychologically effective if shouto’s not 100p IN it when he goes to spike one of deku’s demanding sets

and im gonna say shouto is ambidextrous but more comfortable with his left hand in this volleyball au because shouto’s left side is his fire side, and it’s more parallel to the character to make his more aggressive spiking hand his left one but still have him be able to use his left hand for spikes too (it’s also SO stressful for opponents bc angles)

also yes he does indeed only play with his right hand (his ice side) when he gets into UA, and is initially very hellbent on proving to his father that he can become a pro vball player without being as aggressive as enji on court and without using his more dominant hand, the hand that his dad’s been focusing on whenever they trained at home, the hand he’s spent hours and hours spiking and serving with since he was like five years old

one day deku notices shouto’s writing with his left hand and then connects the dots and sort of badgers him into spiking one of his sets with his left hand too and then yeah shouto tells him his life story and deku manages to emotionally coerce him into being okay with his left-handed spikes

(shouto also feels better about it when deku points out the left-handed angles thing)

so yeah that’s the big three scary first year starters: calculating and gutsy deku, who occasionally makes plays so gutsy he’s at risk of twisting one of his limbs in a very scary way (he’s always bruised in weird ass places from volleyball); raging, aggressive but also cunning kacchan, who is undoubtedly the loudest on any court he’s on, and ambidextrous hot and cold shouto, who does a pretty solid general defense with little holes but has scary aggressive spikes

btw shouto’s got a fanclub and they call him the volleyball prince

also at one point they totally play a practice match against shiketsu and UA loses bc inasa starts antagonizing shouto for being exactly like his father (inasa asked for enji’s autograph after a match once when he was a kid and got rudely blown off) and shouto gets offended and starts targeting inasa and then they get outplayed (it was a close match though ‘cuz both of them couldnt get their heads out of their asses and both their teams were suffering as a result)

his middle school had a huge and scary substitute gym teacher who didn’t have mercy and spiked hard right to the faces of the students, and kiri really wanted to run forward to receive the spike and yell about how unfair this teacher was but he froze because the spike seemed unforgiving and if he received it wrong, what if his nose broke? what if he fell and broke something from the impact? mina didnt pause though and she received the spike and told off their substitute teacher and then reported it to their homeroom teacher and it was so manly of her, he promised himself he would never hesitate just bc of a scary spike again

btw mina’s all-around athletic and could probably make it onto the girls vball team but she’s probably on the UA dance team (UA is a powerhouse school for many sports, and theyre famous for their athletics department bc they often hire (former) pro-athletes to teach and coach)

iida comes from a family of sprint runners and he’s the one they trust for the most running; he’s their first year decoy and he’s fast af for such a big guy, and he often also provides extra block support from zooming left and right

also enjoys helping out the managers and corralling his team into being good students; he’d offer to tutor kirishima but kiri seems to have fun trying to be friends with bakugou lol; he makes it known that he’s there if kiri wants some extra patience to go along with his studies though

sero guess blocks so accurately people like to say that he’s got tape coming from his elbows, bringing the ball straight to his arms so that he can block; actually he’s pretty known for having weirdly accurate control bumping the ball back from places other than his hands (esp his elbows though), like he’s just so aware of his body, and he uses everything he can to keep the ball off the ground so he’s good at general defense

aizawa’s their supervising teacher and the first year homeroom teacher (he gets to hear bakugou explode both first thing in the morning AND right at the end of the day, oh joy); all might just coaches ‘cuz he does other former pro stuff during class time, so he somehow ended up in charge of the volleyball club after the previous teacher stopped being able to

he never went pro but he’s a black belt mixed martial artist, and he still does those parent-child karate classes with hitoshi (who is now close to black belt and on the demo team, since they’ve been doing this since hitoshi was like five) and eri (who just got her yellow belt! aizawa is soft)

only hizashi, nemuri, oboro and his kids know this but he’s also REALLY good at doing aerial silk and he looks graceful af when he does it

hitoshi started kinda learning aerial silk when hizashi took him to a rock climbing place that had the silks on the ceiling (dont at me, there’s a place EXACTLY like this where i used to live lmao) and found out they offer classes there, and hizashi laughed and said “yknow your dad is pro at those right”

ochako is their first year manager, and when everyone is confused about kacchan continuing to call deku something so mean, she talks about how the nickname is cute and gives off the impression that he’s trying his best and when deku grins and blushes and seems to be happy with it, the whole team starts calling him deku with the same intentions and fondness behind it

every time other people hear UA calling their starting setter “deku” theyre so confused

nejire is the third year manager leaving and she does gymnastics and dance outside of school

mirio is the ace and his thing is that he is very strong and very precise, and he moves like he phases through the other players

tamaki is a middle blocker that can adapt all kinds of playing strategies pretty fast as long as he’s got time to digest them and decent food in his stomach—he’s a great decoy ‘cuz his spikes are hard and he’s pretty fast too, and while he prefers read blocking, there are a few times he guess blocks and it’s accurate af and kinda scary honestly

tamaki and mirio are also pretty fearsome ‘cuz people start off scared of mirio’s power spikes and serves (btw his goal is to spike a million service aces LOL), and then tamaki kind of surprises them ‘cuz he seems to be able to just? do everything??? (and theyre extra surprised bc no doubt he’ll be talking himself down and doubting himself before the match and the opponents will think like “oh good he’s mentally weak” and he kind of is but also holy shit??? we got blocked AGAIN???) and so they sort of only keep a peripheral eye on mirio while they start focusing on tamaki, and then all of a sudden mirio’s not where you thought he was and how’d he get there so fast and there other players in the way??? and then mirio spikes one in

this isn’t really related to anything else but you BET mirio can bend low and do insanely accurate bump receives from pretty close to the ground like! his thighs and knees are legend

we don’t really know any second year bnha students, but i’d like to think their starting team isn’t just first years, so i’d say like… hm or mb tamaki is starting setter (all the stuff about adapting and easily digesting strategies still applies, as well as his flexible skillset, it just now includes setting) and mirio is his ace, but all might puts deku in a lot more than you’d expect a bench player to be subbed in not only ‘cuz it shakes up the other team to see such a meek-looking kid do these gutsy-ass sets, but also bc it’s good for tamaki’s mental health that he feels like he’s got a really great setter right there supporting him as well, even though he knows (objectively) that he can hold the fort on his own

so yeah, id say tamaki and mirio for sure starters (mirio is captain), kirishima’s a starter (he’s always been really good, he just used to get a little scared off in matches sometimes, but since the thing with mina, he’s been really gunning for it, and also conveniently their last really good libero graduated the year before and they didn’t really have a good backup), shouto’s a starter (he’s lowkey mad about it bc it feels like he’s fulfilling his dad’s legacy and he doesnt want to be), and probably two second years, that feels fair

bakugou’s benched bc his temper’s still a little too unwieldy for the court (much to his dismay), sero’s still patching up holes in his defense, and deku could stand to watch other people’s playing styles, but u bet theyre all fearsome af when theyre on court: deku seems to be the only one that seems to be able to bring out shouto’s terrifying spikes for now; after their first qualifiers, rumours fly around the vball circuit about his angry pinch server that’s so mad he’s not a regular, he takes it all out on his serves and rip the team that has to try and receive them

well okay, so bakugou is the only that i can qualify as actually fearsome bc even when he’s being intimidating sero is a pretty chill dude, and deku looks too nice to really be scary so the opponents usually arent scared until he starts playing and then for them it’s just this internal monologue of “what the fuck? what the FUCK???”

and sero, while chill, is the type to be aggressively cheerful and grin really wide after he blocks and gives you, the opponent, really supportive feedback that sort of still offends you but in a way you cant refute because every word he said was nice and his demeanour was nice too and yet? you kinda wanna strangle him??? and then he laughs winsomely and blocks your next spike too (like, “awh i noticed you have a tendency to follow here when xyz happens, but better luck next time right? that’s usually a pretty good play”)

and of COURSE their school banner says “plus ultra”

Ooh! :D Tysm for asking~ I LOVE headcanon questions, esp ship thoughts/imagines! I've not written either pairing, tho these are charries I enjoy (and ones I know I truly love in three instances—I need to write Cormac more before I upgrade my "like" to "love"! XD). I've written Romilda and Padma the most of these four and therefore have some solid characterizations for them (Romilda in fic that's mainly posted now, Padma in some forthcoming fic to be posted this spring—so please look forward to new eagle content in addition to old eagle content soon to be crossposted to tumblr and to AO3!), but I DO HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR THESE SHIPS~ (So sorry for the looong reply—I had fun writing about both pairs! :D and tumblr’s read-more function on asks is...wonky at best these days...let’s hope this works...)

firstly, may I just say—this is a good-looking couple~ (I mean, big love for the Patil twins in general, but also ngl Louis Cordice cast as Blaise in the movies was A+ imo, *lol* is my artist bias showing yet i kinda wanna draw them now)

that aside, eagle–snake ships intrigue me?? esp with someone quiet and shrewd like Blaise outside of Pansy, I find I enjoy him with Ravenclaws...

Padma always struck me as the twin who was too nice and reluctant to say "no"—after all, she did let Parvati rope her into going to the Yule Ball with Ron, which did not turn out to be very fun at all; but she did end up giving up on Ron and dancing with a Durmstrang student that evening in order to save her night, so I see that as the start of her developing her own determinedness (not to mention joining the D.A. in bk5 afterwards)

And then we have Blaise it's the quiet ones you gotta watch *LOL*

He's such an observer rather than an active participant, but he comes across as someone who would make worthwhile conversation, a personality type that got on Draco's nerves...hmm, I wonder if the Sorting Hat ever considered Blaise for Ravenclaw House for a second...? :O

also an idea: Pansy knows/knew the Patils outside of school, so it's possible that Blaise might've, too, or might later on the closer Blaise finds himself pulled into Draco & Pansy's orbit

I think I could see PadmaBlaise as a will-they-won't-they deal, a classmates-turned-mates trope where they're in each other's orbit at school mainly during study halls and Padma can appreciate his more studious interests (my main hc is that he has interests in more advanced and difficult subjects and eventually becomes Professor of Ancient Runes, tbqh) and Blaise can enjoy some company without a need for conversation altho if they do converse it'll hold his interest without being Dark (Draco & his cronies) or needlessly invasive or suggestive (Pansy & the girls...mainly Pansy, but sometimes Daph pries, too); this also works bc I hc the eagles as being close but not exactly realizing/appreciating their closeness during their school days, so Padma has her friends, certainly, in her House, but Blaise would be a nice change of pace for her—likewise with Blaise, bc he sort of considers Pansy and perhaps Daphne his friends, and Draco's entertaining and Theodore's kind of a git sometimes, but Blaise in general struggles with the concept of friendship or relationships altogether possibly a side-effect of his mum's reputation for having all those late husbands

outside of school, living not super far from each other and having families running in some of the same social circles (bc now that I've thought about this, I RLY LIKE THAT IDEA <3), I still think they'd carry on their friendship; Pansy might tease Blaise a bit about it, but the snakes don't rly bother him too much about it bc the Patils aren't a bad family (the only issue in recent yrs is when the twins join the D.A.); I think their friendship is more of a concern for Padma's family, esp bc Parvati would detach herself from her best mate's hip long enough at least to alert their parents of the company Blaise keeps, & that coupled with the well-known rumors about Mrs. Zabini just make everyone wary about how close Padma gets to Blaise

but honestly it's such a lark bc there's not an evil bone in Blaise's body—Padma's had enough deep, meaningful conversations with him on walks around their respective neighborhoods and even a few times around the castle grounds to know that, even if he doesn't say it, the way Draco talks scares him (and scares Pansy, too, Blaise lets slip, and a pang of nostalgia for a childhood friend she & her twin once had makes her heart ache), & Blaise lowers his guard enough times on their walks that eventually Padma's fingers find their way to his & sometimes they halfheartedly hold hands

Padma's determination to keep their bond alive & well struggles during 6th & 7th yrs, esp with how crazy things get and the danger the reconstituted D.A. put themselves in—they don't talk about it, but it's a silent argument they have, that he doesn't want her to join again & fight back, that she can't sit idly by while her sister and friends get hurt & tortured & nearly killed on a daily basis—any of them could be next, and change must start somewhere, so it can start with her (and the D.A., but Blaise isn't arguing with them, he's arguing with Padma and why won't she bloody listen!)

it turns into a cold war between them, & when the final battle occurs, they're in completely different parts of the castle, Padma actively fighting and thinking Blaise remains twiddling his thumbs in the dungeons with the rest of the Slytherins...

...in actuality, her words reached him, sank in; that night, Blaise calms Pansy down after her "hand Harry over!" hysterics and then is one of the few Slytherins to do smthg that night (Astoria actively fights, her sister later learns, but Daphne & Blaise actively protect their fellow snakes, esp the defenseless underclassmen)

Padma & Blaise don't exactly "make up" following the war, until they discover they've both signed up for an 8th yr, and that yr gives them the time to share and mend; when Blaise tells Padma how the war went on his end, she isn't surprised but is pleased—he's surprised she's so calm about his actions, but they've gotten to know each other so well & she knew how badly the other side's deeds bothered him...she honestly believed it was only a matter of time until he fought back ("After all, when talking, you're so quick with your commentative snickers and so good with the comebacks—so fighting back makes sense to me")

other random hcs: the Patils are well-known for their matching plaits, but Blaise's favorite activity at the end of the day is gently combing his fingers thru Padma's hair, unraveling the plait and just winding tendrils around his fingers; I will forever keep Padma working at the Ministry, and they arrive at Ministry events looking like a certified Power Couple™ decked out in the finest fashions (likewise at faculty events at Hogwarts bc Professor Zabini is A Thing <3); Blaise learned from his mother how not to do romance, so he's actually quite the romantic—one of his favorite pastimes is owling Padma out of the blue with a random love letter (better yet, she gets to decode it bc it's in some old runic alphabet, but she never worries about not recalling things off the top of her head, bc Blaise has heaps of references at home that she can ransack at the end of her workday); since they spend so much time in the U.K. apart (him in Scotland teaching, her in London at the Ministry), they take a prolonged vacation every summer, a getaway usually just the two of them (sometimes the other Patils like to crash...but Blaise finds he doesn't mind it too much, the large family's growing on him, *LOL*)

does Mrs. Zabini ever approve of Padma? well, after practicing a good "fuck if I care" stare with Parvati's and Lavender's help, Padma's able to convey calmly to her that she knows she doesn't need Mrs. Zabini's approval bc Blaise's opinion is what matters and that actually amuses Blaise's mum immensely so Padma unknowingly wins her over in the end wut

as for the Patils, with Padma knowing Blaise is a decent man, it doesn't take long for Parvati to discover that he's rather a softie, so the family comes around to him and the idea of him being Padma's better half; as for actually dealing with Parvati, once the secret's out, it doesn't take long for it to get out that he was smthg of a quiet hero in the war, too (confirmed thru the grapevine by Daphne), and once Parvati knows, Lavender knows, and once Lav knows, the world knows; so all this time, Professor Zabini's students were intimidated by this tall, dark, handsome teacher of Ancient Runes who could silence the room with a heavy stare—now his students know he's a kind Slytherin and it gives them the warm&fuzzies and it makes him more approachable?? some of the older students even try to pal around with him *LOL*

^honestly Blaise's problem is the opposite of Neville's: students initially think Neville looks like a kind man who might be a pushover and then they learn HOLY SHIT HE SLAYED NAGINI WITH GRYFFINDOR'S SWORD??? and then poor Blaise had students who almost feared him and now they just wanna hug him XDDD i'm also here for Blaise&Neville friendship btw

so yeah, PadmaBlaise life could be rly fun and interesting and I think they could bring out some rly great qualities in each other! :DDD <3

WELL, as with any Cormac ship, they're gonna hafta tackle his seeming narcissism XD

but if someone can do it, that person is Romilda "Why, yes, I did once try to slip the Boy-Who-Lived a well-made Love Potion and almost succeeded" Vane

Romilda strikes me as the type of witch who knows what she wants and when she wants it—was she definitely after Harry only for his name and fame? *shrugs* But the potential for an older Romilda to have matured a little, to remember being scared in the final battle and take her skills more seriously couples well with her determined decision-making, imo

as with Cormac, the poor bloke is forever going to be a looks-nab-him-first type, i.e., he'd probably spy Romy at some Quidditch match with her mates & just be gobsmacked the bushy hair makes him falter for a second & think he has a type, given Hermione...but Romilda's freckles are cute, too <3

Cormac's also stubborn & hasn't lost his touch in dogging a pretty witch's heels, but Romilda takes time to develop any attraction to him—sure, he's a Quidditch player, but old habits die hard, & Cormac hasn't quite made a name for himself, so she's not yet sure about giving him the time of day (meanwhile, her friends are half entertained & half torn that they're not lucky enough to be in her shoes bc they all agree he's handsome)

and it's prolly thru her mates that he manages to snag a date with her, the simplest of things, just a cuppa, no commitment, bc her friends are all curious as hell

turns out that Cormac's thoughts towards romance have never rly changed since he was a teenager, but he was misread by the Golden Trio et al back in the day: of course he wants to be a hero in the Quidditch world, if not the top one...but he's not looking for a trophy wife to dangle off his arm, he just wants to find a charming woman like his firecracker mother momma's boy <3 and have the large family his parents had planned on having but couldn't (Cormac's large ego developed bc he was an only child who was terribly spoiled)

for Romilda, it's not a bad match—Cormac's a gentleman, but her desire for a man with a title or fame to his name comes from being raised by a single mother, just the two of them sort of scraping by hi okay i have a lot more on romilda's fam in general anYWHO, so Cormac essentially telling her he's ready to give her any kind of life she wants is like a dream come true—almost unheard of, post-war, unless you're a part of the Potter–Weasley clan

knowing there's a distinct possibility they could work in that sense, Romy gives him a worthwhile shot & they date properly, her coming to learn far more about Quidditch than she ever thought possible, him coming to appreciate magic that her mother passed down to her (potions dissolved in teas soothe his tired muscles after practice better than anything~! ...altho Romilda's fingers digging into his arms is nice, too)

for two sort of flamboyant personalities who might have the potential to be hotheads, I think, there's a kind of ease between them, where they sort of click into place, Romilda who wants a comfortable life and Cormac who wants to give her that life

now for some silliness: at Quidditch matches & press events, Cormac is OVER THE TOP in using his magic to point out where his better half is in the crowd, & Romy preens at this (not to mention it's always a beautiful bit of magic); wherever Romy works (my main hc is her as Auror), she every now and then occasionally gets a double-take by someone who remembers exactly why her name was known back in their school days, but she always puts the rumors to rest at the next work event but dragging Cormac in front of that person so she can say smthg along the lines of "Oh, Harry? Yeah, no, I upgraded!" XD <3; Romy finds calm in patching up Cormac's Quidditch things by hand when on break at work (he's so embarrassed when he finds out—turns out, yes, there are things that embarrass even Cormac McLaggen, *lol*, and having his guards repaired or, Merlin forbid, his socks darned in public is a hair too far, Miss Vane!); as their relationship grows more serious (and Cormac becomes a more seasoned player to the point where he's a first-stringer), Cormac does come to believe in good-luck charms: his one and only is a lock of Romy's curly hair knotted around the handle of his broom (and it must work, bc the one day it frays and flies off is the day Cormac breaks a damn leg)

they're surprisingly not as volatile as I thought when I first read this ask, and I'm so here for this cuteness???? >:D
