rant about mmj and how amazing they are and how underappreciated they are because i love peak

guys please read every mmj focus. please they're so good. i cannot pick a fav mmj character simply because all their stories HIT so hard. the urge to favorite literally every mmj story after reading/rereading it is crazy. all of them are so good. they have really good writing and characterization paired w their silly interactions and whimsical personalities makes actual perfection and everyone should know this.

and don't get me STARTED on their sets.. their wl set is actually my favorite out of all that are currently out. both the trained and the untrained are amazing. every haruka set esp slaps!! airi's sets starting at parasol cider are amazing too, and shizu5 is beautiful too, trained and not.

they have also some REALLY GOOD COMMS?? anti-you, float planner, tenshi no clover, peachy key, jumpin over... they're kinda hit or miss at times but when they hit it is out of the park amazing!!

EPISODE 3 SPOILERS

Not usually one to put anything other than art here but

Goose has stated Jax would get worse as episodes go on; in episode 3 he's already lacking a bit of his usual lazy sarcasm, instead opting for sharper jabs and mocking comments.

The adventure starts out pretty good for him; he gets some bullying in and even causes Pomni and Kinger to take the scary door.

Cut to later, and he's abruptly been tied up. We can assume this is so he couldn't harm the friendly ghost who they run into.

I bring this up because even if it hasn't been strictly stated, I think it's safe to assume bullying is a sort of coping mechanism for Jax. Later, he tries to get a rise out of Pomni but she ignores him entirely. He leaves after this.

With Goose claiming he'd get worse, I think the reason ties into the rest of the cast either ignoring or prohibiting him entirely from causing mayhem. He can't cope, and so he becomes more irritable and standoffish. Goose also said he'd get worse and worse, insinuating he'll end up doing something awful. Maybe this will end up in abstraction for either one of the cast members or even himself.

Again idk how canon the manga anthology is but Riddle’s OCD really does show in some of these mini comics. I like that this one shows how he’s improving though. Sure at the beginning of it he’s obsessing over being about to break a rule and being unable to complete his compulsion, but then Trey refocuses him with the sweets. This calms him down enough to think rationally enough to have that little panel where he says that he’ll buy the sugar cubes later. Which by the way, delaying OCD compulsions until later is actually a strategy that people with the disorder use as an exposure. I think it’s a nice character moment for Riddle and also supports my OCD headcanon agenda. Of course then later in this comic Grim comes and steals his sweets and then Riddle takes his head but hey, it was nice while it lasted. And that still doesn’t really take away from this, cause it’s not like taking Grim’s head was the compulsion, he was just pissed. And fair enough, I would be too, stop stealing people’s food, Grim! Not nice! Bad weasel!

leo/need: i headcanon that luka and meiko are sorta like teachers you like that happen to be in love to everyone. rin and len are less sibling-y here. people kinda distant here, considering the size of the sekai, esp kaito! he's just a little shy. they actually do seem like more like friends than family. miku and luka are close and meiko is most likely to seek out kaito.

more more jump: mikurin. kaito and len are very friendly, and meiluka is very heavy here (have you SEEN that one area convo.) everyone is more friends than family as well, but close friends; closer than school sekailoids. also shameless plug to my minolen bestie agenda

vivid bad squad: family. kaimeiluka parents and miku, rin, and len as the kids <3 kaito is collectively bullied a lot,, all in good fun though! luka is kind of absent but always comes back for some of meiko's dessert making or a games tournament!! they hold game nights a lot, ranging from mariokart to badminton. somewhat unrelated but a basketball court and multipurpose field have manifested in the sekai as well for their various games.

wonderlands x showtime: they're all very familial! it's more like a bunch of siblings, with kaito as the responsible oldest brother, then meiko->luka->rin and len as twins (lens older)->miku. no romances there. rin and len are the insane and chaotic and hyper here and it's a grand old time

nightcord at 25:00: friendly-ish?? meiluka (guess my fav vocaship level impossible gollee 😭😭) miku rin and len talk the most and teach each other stuff the niigolings taught them. kaito is almost never there, but he does hang around the lake a lot. like no one has canon shoes so they dip their feet in the lake a lot, esp him. luka would talk w miku/rin/len a lot more but she's too busy looking for meiko or bothering her when she finds her.

it's just. buck would never ask eddie to choose between him and christopher as much as he wants eddie to stay. no come on that's not even a question. and on some level eddie knows that. i love him enough to never stop trying and i know you do too. nobody will ever fight for my son as hard as you, that is what i want for him. but he still says it aloud. if you're asking me to choose between you and my son, you're going to lose every time. not to hurt buck because this is a truth buck has known from day one, a truth he himself has come to understand. no, eddie says it because it's a question he's clearly asked himself, knowing the answer of course, but knowing too that if the coice was between buck and anyone else, buck would win every time.

Guys, I need to know who the housewarden before Riddle was. Like what freak of nature was so off the walls crazy, and so unbelievably lax with the rules that even though the students are upset with how strict Riddle is, they still don’t want that guy back or talk about how they wish he could be in charge again. Like who was this menace to society?
