Morning Light, Mourning Star

Title: Morning Light, Mourning Star Chapter: One-Shot Pairing: Andy/OC/Remington Rating: T Fic Summary: Jenni never expected to fall in love with two men at the same time. Author’s Notes: Requested by anon. I’m sorry if this one seems a little rushed. I’m already planning a follow up one-shot, but let’s see how this one goes first.

Andy and Jenni were sitting at home, like they did whenever Andy had a break from touring.

The second leg of his Homecoming Tour would start in about a week.

“I can’t wait to see Will again!” Andy said excitedly.

She rolled her eyes.

That meant that he and the crew would go out and have fun while she was left in the hotel or the tour bus.

It wasn’t that she didn’t like William. When Andy and he got together, they usually got in trouble.

“I’m excited to meet a new band”, she told him, “Palaye Royale. Odd name, but their music is pretty good. I like how it’s like old school rock’n’roll”.

“Better than Black Veil?” he asked her.

She gave him a mischievous smirk and said, “Way better than Black Veil”.

Andy glared at her.

“What can I say? Remington’s hot”, she said, “Like a sexy vampire”.

Andy grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder.

“Andy!” she giggled.

“I’m gonna make you eat those words”, he said and carried her to the bedroom.

A week later, Andy and Jenni stood in the first venue. Andy was talking about lighting and mics and things that went over her head.

“Excuse me, could you tell us if we’re in the right place?” she heard a voice ask. She turned and her mouth nearly dropped open.

Standing there was the vampire himself, Remington Leith. He looked like he had just stepped out of a Tim Burton movie and she felt her heart start racing.

“You guys must be Palaye Royale”, Andy said.

“Um, yeah”, Remington said, “Who is this lovely creature?”

“This is my girlfriend, Jenni”.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jenni”, Remington said, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles. His brown eyes burned into hers.

Andy noticed the blush in her cheeks and her labored breathing. She had a thing for him. He suspected it was because Remington reminded her of a younger version of himself, back when he and the guys strutted about in leather and makeup. “Well, if you follow me, I’ll show you where the green room is and everything”, Andy said.

Remington hadn’t let go of Jenni’s hand, but strangely Andy didn’t feel jealously towards the younger man. When he and Jenni talked, Remington looked at her like he himself looked at her.

Both Remington and Andy flirted non-stop with Jenni all night.

Andy flirting with her was a normal occurrence, but it seemed that this time it was fueled by Remington’s interest in her.

“This last song is for a very special girl. It’s called ‘My Sweetness’”, Remington said.

The crowd cheered and whistled.

Jenni had had Andy dedicate songs to her, but never a guy she just met. Jenni’s heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest.

Andy wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed her temple.

She felt a pang in her heart. She loved Andy and she knew that, but she couldn’t deny that she felt something for Remington.

Just as she had suspected, Andy went out with William and his crew, leaving her to fend for herself for the night.

There was a knock at the tour bus door.

“Hello?” she called.

“It’s me, sweetness!” Remington called back.

Jenni blushed and opened the door.

Remington climbed up the stairs. “Why aren’t you out with everyone else?” he asked her.

“I’m not much of a partier, what about you?”

“I didn’t go because you weren’t going”.

Jenni blushed.

“You do that a lot around me”, he said. He stepped closer to her and placed his hand on the side of her neck. “God, your heart is beating like a frightened rabbit”, he said, “Do I make you nervous?” He smirked and cocked an eyebrow, much like Andy did when he was teasing her about something.

Jenni found herself unable to speak.

Remington pulled her over to the couch and pulled her down into his lap. He looked into her eyes before pressing his lips to hers.

Jenni immediately kissed back. She wasn’t sure how long they had been kissing before Andy stumbled up the stairs.

Andy stopped in his tracks seeing the two making out. Instead of jealously, he felt arousal.

Jenni pulled away from Remington. “Andy!” she said with wide eyes.

“Keep going”, he said.

“What?” she asked him.

Andy locked eyes with Remington and said, “Keep going”.

The younger man smirked and pulled her in for another kiss, kissing her with more passion this time, burying his hands in her hair.

Andy knelt on the floor and pressed his lips to Jenni’s neck, causing her to moan into the kiss.

She pulled out of the kiss, Remington moving to the other side of her neck. Jenni grabbed her phone and snapped a picture posting it with the caption, “A vampire and a fallen angel? Yes please!”

Needless to say that the internet exploded after learning about their odd relationship.

The fangirls on both sides were enraged that one woman had managed to steal both men.

What people didn’t understand was that Remington gave her things that Andy couldn’t. He was closer to her in age and since Palaye Royale was a lesser known band, they weren’t on tour as much as Black Veil was.

When one was gone, the other was there, so she had someone at all times. She was showered in love and affection at all times and she reveled in it.

Andy was her mourning star. Remington was her morning light.

And much like nature, she couldn’t have one without the other.
