that being said,

i do get a little confused when ppl talk about sarge/any of the reds, either for or against them, as if the only problem is the age difference or the vague concept of him being a father figure to the reds and not the fact that he’s. their commanding officer? bc yeah ages and relationship dynamics can be headcanoned or changed but like. he very much is their commanding officer. that is a major part of his character that you can’t strip away. he has significant authority over them. and obviously they’re not exactly a traditional military unit and he has less power than, say, the director would have over the freelancers but he still very much does act as an authority figure to the reds, and he does give them orders that they feel obligated to follow because of said authority for the vast majority of the show. like the latest this explicitly happens is 13? where he puts them on the front lines and they don’t have any say in the matter? like, there’s power dynamics here��.

and again do NOT come at me with black and white shipcourse i WILL block you i am not saying this is a ~problematic~ ship girl i write church/flowers okay i am not immune to “isn’t this fucked up power dynamic…. kinda hot?” what i am saying is. it feels very odd when people refuse to actually acknowledge what the power dynamics are in the ship they’re writing for. you can’t just ignore the way that sarge being their boss would impact the relationship there. and if you do want to do that then i. do not trust you to accurately recognize problematic power dynamics in relationships! i have infinitely more respect for someone who ships donut/sarge and goes “yeah i just wanna see a twink get plowed by his CO” than someone who’s like “ummmm actually there’s no problem with this because they’re both consenting adults”

and obviously none of that is even touching on the fact that sarge is like. physically abusive and that the reds do very much see him as their father figure (especially lopez… i know the show also makes jokes about this but he’s. like. cmon.) and. again. none of that is “wow ur a terrible person if you ship this” but it is. complications that if you choose to ignore and defend these complications as not being a big deal i do not trust you

also. what’s even the appeal if you’re not playing with the dynamics ToT like if the fact that he’s their CO isn’t what you’re exploring then what even is there….. isn’t that literally what their relationship is……… isn’t that what makes it saucy…………. like even if you don’t wanna make it an actively fucked up yet sexy thing even if you are trying to make it into something functional and healthy (highly doubt this is. possible but yknow) isn’t exploring how their past of being in this kinda fucked power dynamic the whole. isn’t that interesting to you……. isn’t that what makes it compelling…… who are you even writing about if you’re not exploring this. why are you even shipping these characters if you’re not actually analyzing what their relationship is. i don’t get iittttt

I try my damn near hardest to avoid shipcourse on this blog. However, I have so many qualms with the anti side of things that I need to say something.

If your first inclination after seeing someone explore fiction is to call them a pedophile (as an insult, no less!), abuse enabler, and/or urge your followers to mass report them, you are a problem. Maybe it's because I grew up during the golden days of fandoms, where ship and let ship was the norm and not whatever this shit is, but it's bizarre to see people get cancelled for being a proshipper. I just don't have it in me to care about what people do to that fictional child. It's none of my business.

I've noticed a trend from antis of anything: anti radqueers, antishippers, anti hazbin/helluva etc, and it is that their arguments are extremely self centered. 'It's romanticizing MY abuse/trauma/condition!' as if that stranger on the other side of the screen couldn't possibly have similar trauma etc and copes with it differently. "It triggers ME!" then don't actively seek out that material and get mad at the creator. It's a 'me! me! me!' mindset.

See, me personally? I don't care if someone makes and romanticizes a fic that capitalizes on my trauma. I don't care what reason they have, either; whether it's to cope with their own trauma or to simply have fun, I do not care. No amount of harassment from a bunch of teenagers can change the fact that I don't care, and the fact that there are others OLDER THAN ME, someone who will be 19 in July, who condone and enforce anti views is terrible.

Creative freedom shouldn't even be a debate or discourse situation. People need to grow the hell up and get over themselves.

I’m going to say this as someone who’s not on either side but has witnessed both sides. I have friends on both sides. I’ve seen the atrocities both sides commit.

Proshippers can create content with dark topics without it being romanticized but antis will ALWAYS assume a proshipper’s content is romanticized regardless of if it actually is or not

Also, no proshipper (that I’ve seen) believes that fiction never affects reality. They know it does SOMETIMES but it doesn’t all the time. It’s antis who believe fiction always does 100% of the time affect reality 1:1.

Here’s an example: Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV shows. It includes plenty of incest. If fiction always affects reality 1:1, then why don’t we have an incest epidemic? Why isn’t everyone kissing their relatives? With anti logic, this is what should be happening.

I’ve talked to my therapist about shipcourse. Plenty of proshippers have talked to their therapists about this. If all these professionals are saying it’s fine, I don’t see why it’s not. I struggle with homocidal urges and fiction helps me cope with that by “killing” through fictional murderers. Just because a method doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it works for no one. And just because a method works for me doesn’t mean it works for everyone.

Now I’m not saying you need to like proshippers or be okay with proshippers being around you. They WANT you to block them if you need to. But if they haven’t done anything to you, don’t bully them. Don’t invalidate their trauma. Don’t send them threats. Don’t post threats directed at them, vague or not. It’ll only fuel the fire and “reset the clock” as they say.

I’ll close my rambling out with this:

I'm really fed up with proshipper people reiterating over and over again that fiction doesn't affect reality. Why is it so damn hard to understand? Or they do understand it, but keep denying it to not to look bad when shipping incest and pedophilia. If you're a proshipper then please stay far away from me and get help.  Romanticizing abusive and infectious behavior in fiction is harmful to you, especially if you are a trauma victim (or have incestious tendencies) yourself. When you get the urge to do something bad and entertain that thought by romanticizing the bad thing in fiction, the risk of you actually doing it in real life increases. If an abuse victim consumes & creates fiction that portrays abusive behavior in good light, it could be harmful to them. And I'm not saying that you shouldn't write about dark topics at all. It's 100% healthy & valid to explore dark topics just out of curiosity or to cope with trauma. Just don't romanticize bad things, okay?

I’ve seen anons bring up this topic across a couple different shipcourse blogs that I follow. It’s how proshippers believe that people drawing a line on what they don’t want drawn of their own characters is on the same playing field as censorship.

What I mean by that is they think somebody not giving permission to create NSFW of their characters is the same as Anne Rice using laws to censor people.

Personally, I think they’re not equal. One’s setting a boundary and the other is abusing copyright laws. For example, a young artist on the internet not giving someone their consent to draw NSFW is different than an adult trying to mass censor fanworks.

I wouldn’t even call what said-hypothetical-young-artist is doing censorship.

At the end of the day, people are just putting it out there that they don’t give consent and that they’re uncomfortable with it. They aren’t going out of their way to stop anyone.

But, I’m curious as to what your thoughts are?

Oooh, I was hoping somebody brought this up. This may be a bit messy, so feel free to ask me to rephrase things if anything seems too mucky/scattered.

I know I've reboggled it a few times on here, but there is a post out there about the creator of Jake Long being informed whether he wants it or not, porn WILL be created of his show. And that holds true to all forms of art published anywhere where people can see it and socialize about it. That is something that EVERY artist needs to be aware of, and learn to be accepting of.

However, that DOES NOT mean that setting boundaries is a bad thing, or censorship. Anyone is free to set boundaries, whether for themselves (ex. DNIs), or for their works. However, every other user on the internet equally has the right to ignore that if they so wish. However, following internet etiquette, it is typically considered improper to show that content to the creator if they have explicitly stated that they're uncomfortable with its existence. Setting a boundary isn't censorship, nor is people breaking that boundary. A bit rude, mayhaps, especially if that content is then being shoved in that creator's face, however, but the boundary existing isn't, in and of itself, a form of censorship.

It BECOMES censorship when the author, instead of blocking those who created that content they dislike, chooses to misuse the legal protections of their artwork to then purge what they dislike off of the internet or penalize those who broke that boundary, which is why Anne Rice (and more recently, Yaelokre) were quite a big deal. But just going, "hey, please don't lewd this character"? Not censorship at all.

Noxqueer is a blankqueer term that describes one's beliefs on Shipcourse, Paraphiles & Contact, Mogai & Transx, Intersexism, Transandrophobia, Radqueer, Consistent Progressivism, Syscourse, Alterhumanity, Age Regression & POSIC+.

This is a remake of the original post, combining the og post, first addendum AND adding some new stances.

Shipcourse

(Tldr; Complex stance on Proshipping; Proship Critical, Shipcourse Unaligned, Pro Yumeshipping, Pro Amasui)

Noxqueer's stance on Proshipping is that Proshipping is a useful coping mechanism for people struggling with paraphilias however, fiction does in fact affect reality and can affect young children's minds negatively. Noxqueer believes that Proshipping should be kept either private or simply not a community as that makes room for Predators (Pro-C Paras & Bad Actors) to take advantage of minors and other vulnerable people. It's similar to posting your triggers or other personal information to the internet.

Noxqueer is pro Yumeshipping (& Fictosexual labels) and Amasui (& Autosexual labels) and acknowledge them to be separate to the larger Proship community. Noxqueer also acknowledges these two things to be harmless.

Paraphiles & Contact

(Tldr; Anti-Contact for big 3, Neutral-Contact otherwise, Pro-Recovery, Anti-Forced Recovery)

Noxqueer's stance on Paraphiles is that Paraphilias are often caused by trauma and/or forms of abuse. Noxqueer promotes recovery however will not force it on unwilling Paraphiles. Paraphiles are not Predators purely for their Paraphilias and are people deserving of nuance and kindness.

Noxqueer is firmly Anti-Contact on bodily minors, bodily animals and bodily corpses. Children, animals and dead bodies cannot consent. Noxqueer is Neutral-Contact on bodily adults, bodily humans and bodily alive people. Alterhumans can consent, assuming that they are bodily an adult and alive.

Mogai & Transx

(Tldr; Pro-Mogai, Anti-TransIDs, Crit-TransIDs, Pro-TransID alternatives, Anti-Transharmful & Transharmed, Anti Conabuse)

Noxqueer is Pro-Mogai including neopronouns, xenogenders, multigender labels, altersex labels, "contradictory" labels (Eg. Lesboy) and just generally any label as long as it is good faith. Noxqueer could be considered 'Radinclus' and acknowledges that Radinclus does NOT mean Radqueer and that Radqueers are not welcome in Radinclus spaces.

Noxqueer is Neutral-Transx but is Anti-TransIDs and Pro-Alternatives. Noxqueer recognizes both atypical dysphoria and atypical euphoria and promotes the use of TransID alternatives such as Desirdae, Dissomei and Intusui. Noxqueer is Anti-TransIDs because the community and use of TransIDs are harmful such as transharmed & transharmful and trace, transabled. These can be incredibly harmful to people and is often fetishistic (Towards races and disabilities) or glorifying harmful behaviors (Such as grooming).

Intersex and Intersexism

(Tldr; Support Intersex voices.)

Noxqueer also supports Intersex people and their struggles, not just as a "gotcha" or as an argument but as real people who are marginalized by society and even in the queer community itself. Noxqueer denounces the "trans intersex" term and encourages those that use it or relate to it research the terms "Altersex" and "Bigenital" as one cannot transition to be intersex. Noxqueer acknowledges the fact that intersex describes hormone conditions that diverge from the "sex binary" first and foremost and is not a label just for ambiguous genitalia or having both male and female primary sexual characteristics. Noxqueer also acknowledges the term "Hermaphrodite" to be a slur that fetishizes, stereotypes and undermines the intersex experience.

Transandrophobia and Queerandrophobia

(Tldr; Pro transmascs as equal to transfems)

Noxqueer fully supports transmascs and acknowledges their struggles as a minority, equal to that of transfems, just in different ways. Noxqueer equally supports transfems and acknowledges their struggles and accepts that Transmisogyny and Transandrophobia are equally harmful in their own ways, being largely hypervisibility for transfems and hyperinvisibility for transmascs.

Noxqueer also recognises the inherent hatred of all masculinity in the queer community, described by the term Queerandrophobia (coined by @/status-quo-hater). Queerandrophobia is a valid problem within the queer community and can result in transandrophobia, transmisogyny (to butch transfems), excorsexism and intersexism.

Radqueer

(Tldr; Anti-Radqueer, Anti-Conabuse, Pro-Recovery, Anti-Forced Recovery)

Noxqueer is firmly Anti-Radqueer as it's space promotes harmful behaviors as mentioned above in the Transx section. As TransIDs are seen as mainly Radqueer, it is often Radqueers who are perpetrating fetishization of disabilities and races and glorification of grooming and abuse. Noxqueer is Pro-Recovery for Radqueers and encourages them to leave the Radqueer community and take time to recover and take care of themselves. However, like with Paraphiles, Noxqueer does not believe in forced recovery. Noxqueer is firmly Anti-Conabuse, @/anti-rq-gumi has a masterlist on how Conabuse is harmful and can be found here.

Consistent Progressiveism

(Tldr; Anti-Conpro.)

Noxqueer is Anti-Consistent Progressiveism and reguards Conpro as an extremeist version of the Radqueer ideology and therefore more harmful both to outsiders and it's own community. Noxqueer advises against interacting with Conpros as they are violent and threatening (eg. to get into their server you have to explain in detail what you wish would happen to 'conservatives' which includes forms of torture and cannibalism). Considering anybody who is Anti-Conpro to be 'conservative' is being actively disingenuous which may be a scare tactic to reluctant members and/or an attempt to smear and devalue Anti-Conpros.

Syscourse

(Tldr; Pro-Endo, Neutral-Polymind, Anti-Harrassment)

Noxqueer is Pro-Endo including all system origins (Willogenic, Stressgenic, Neurogenic, etc.). Noxqueer recognises that Endogenic systems are not claiming to have a CDD such as DID or OSDD. Traumagenic systems and Endogenic systems are both ways of experiencing plurality, even if they vary quite a lot. Noxqueer also recognizes Mixedgenic and Multigenic systems as well as non-disordered Traumagenic systems.

Noxqueer is Neutral-Polymind but is firmly Anti-Harrassment against Polyminds and anyone in general.

Alterhumanity

(Tldr; Pro-Alterhuman, Pro all forms of alterhuman)

Noxqueer supports Alterhumanity including therians, otherkins (including fictionkins, fanfickins, ockins, conceptkins, songkins, objectkins and factkins), constellic individuals and all other forms of Alterhumanity. Noxqueer supports spiritual, psychological, physical, mental and every other type of alterhuman.

Noxqueer supports the use of dysphoric aids such as tails, ears & other accessories and packers. Noxqueer denounces the idea that packers are inherently sexual and saying so, especially only to alterhuman packers is inherently harmful and sexualises alterhumans who may not want to be sexualised. Alterhumans use their packers like trans men use packers, non-sexually.

Age & Pet regression

(Tldr; Pro Agere, Agedre & Petre)

Noxqueer recognises Age Regression as a valid and useful coping mechanism for those that experience it, voluntary or not. Noxqueer also recognises Impure Regression and how that not all regression experiences may be the stereotypical view of regression (eg. pink, cute, fluffy, innocent). Noxqueer extends this same understanding to Age Dreaming and Pet Regression. Noxqueer also supports caretakers as they deserve just as much appreciation for all they do for their regressors.

POSIC+

(Tldr; Pro POSIC+)

Noxqueer regards POSIC+ and Objectum to be completely harmless and therefore not something that requires "antis". Of course, Noxqueer is always Anti-Harrassment and Pro-Harmless identities.

Yeah, it's... been a long time of me thinking about this.

I'm leaving the UTMV Fandom. ^^" I've made a new account on tumblr, I ask you do not try to find me. If you do though, I won't stop you.

People argue about a lot of dumb stuff, make threats, like, all Fandoms have this issue but—This is EXCESSIVE. Especially people stealing others OCs and 'reclaiming' AUs... no. On my first day back on Tumblr in months, all my feed was shipcourse, people complaining about human designs, the transphobia w/ Cross, so on. The reason I followed these people was for their art, not... all this. Again, that's on me, sorry. (And, a lot of other reasons for me to leave too...)

I may or may not continue to run some of my side blogs. (The Agatha one, for example) but other than that, my blogs are on an indefinite hiatus.

From this point forward, all my UTMV AUs, AKA ones involving UTMV Sanses I did not create, can be considered public. I ask you do not make NSFW, merch, or proship of any of my AUs, however I cannot stop you if you do. At any point, I may close the AUs again and revoke permission to make fanworks of them. MuffeteerTale and Ageretale (not the agereverse, only my original variations Agere Sans and Papyrus) are excluded from this permission and are officially private AUs. My Skelesona amd other OCs disconnected from typical UTMV are also closed. AUs such as Infectious Love Tale and Cressatale (ETC) are public, as they heavily rely on characters I did not create.

I may open Muffeteertale and such in the future, but for now—No.

I plan on exploring other fandoms, maybe doing adoptables more seriously, (Such as requiring a Toyhouse to adopt), definitely improving my art skills on other characters than Sans, and so on.

It's been fun, guys... it really has. But I can't keep involving myself in this fandom. It's possible I'll come back, maybe rethink this or cut out people who have hurt me.

I may reach out to some friends and give them my new handle, only a few though. I'm not gonna publicly advertise my new main account, especially since it heavily focuses on agere right now, meanwhile I'll have a side blog for more heavy topics.

There seems to be an overlap between TRFs/transandrophobes and the "darkly chic" bloggers who think they're cooler than everyone else because they aren't like, too into dumb cringey fandom stuff.

Sometimes it originates out of reasonable criticisms of "fandom liberals" who care more about shipcourse than actual political issues (although I do think it's important to keep in mind that many of these kinds of bloggers are really young and just don't have a good grasp of serious topics yet, and that they'll get more mature with time), but it pretty quickly turns into self-superior, high-school bully ass bullshit about how glad they are to not be dumb uncool nerds. (This is the dumb uncool nerd website... 🙃)

Anyway, I'm not falling for it. Shoutout to fictionkin, shoutout to alterhumans, shoutout to selfshippers, shoutout to people with "dumb" fandom interests like Cookie Run or Five Nights at Freddy's, shoutout to systems with lots of introjects, shoutout to people who cope through fiction, shoutout to fanwriters and fanartists (especially those who have less experience or aren't seen as traditionally "good" at their art medium), shoutout to (respectful) fujoshis and himejoshis and fudanshis and himedanshis, shoutout to Ao3 users, shoutout to people who care about fandom and enjoy it and are "cringey" about their passion for it! Welcome to our little haven.

This is a cozy blog for some potentially not-so-cozy people.

This blog is run by the fictives of what we'll call "The Haven Keepers" collective for the sake of anonymity. This is a blog focused around being a safe space for problematic fictives (or factives), fictionkin, fictherians, hearthome havers, and any other fictionfolk. All are welcome here, regardless of their source actions, level of separation from their source, or their relationships. As long as you don't threaten the safety within our blog, you're welcome.

This blog is both for others to send in asks, and a safe space for us to talk about our own experiences with insys relationships and problematic sources as fictives. After seeing so much negativity around "proship" in the plural commmunity with absolutely no regard for how that might apply to fictives, we wanted to create this. That being said; dark topics will come up! Everything we can think of will be tagged, and there's no shame in asking us to tag something we missed. This blog is ultimately intended to be a positive space, so anything that could risk that for someone will be tagged.

The Haven Keepers

We intend to be 100% open about our source here. I am Kaeya, my source media is Genshin Impact. We have quite a few fictives who will want in on this, though I can't say who for sure so this section will be a bit barren for a while. We're bodily in our early 20's, trans, and auDHD.
