Alright I'm doing it! A notes game going from now until 1 December 2023 00:00. The results of the notes will dictate what I'll do during Detrans-December!

thinking about how most cis people’s fear of detransition is pretty much just their fear of intersex bodies. like yea, whats the worse that could happen if this trans person transitions ? they regret it, detransition, and end up as a particularly hairy woman, or a man with tits, or something else ? maybe they become infertile ? that is not the end of the world in the slightest. loads of intersex people are born like that and live wonderful, fulfilling lifes. if detransitioning is the end of peoples lives, then intersex people never had a chance. and that is simply incorrect.

Of course, transition regret, like any regret, is real and valid, but what im saying is that your life isn’t over. the way transphobic people present it, as soon as you detransition, your life is ruined now and you must use what youve got left to prevent others from your terrible fate. its just not like that. you still have so much time ahead of you.

if y’all want a specific term to talk about this specific phenomenon, i’d propose altersexism, from the term altersex, but we’d have to be careful about keeping intersex folks in the conversation cuz they are the ones at the center of this.

I know now, I hope it helps bring attention to Trans Genocide. Look at these laws, some i have in more detail than others, proposed and passed that seek to criminalize our existence.

West Virginia: SB 252 (Sent to Judiciary January 17, 2023) Would define being Trans as an obscenity to minors.

Oklahoma: SB 129 (Prefiled to be Introduced February 6th, 2023) Would ban Trans Affirming Healthcare to everyone under 26 and forcibly detransition anyone under that age who has transitioned. This would currently encompass all of Gen Z.

States like Arizona, Montana, Tennessee and Nebraska have proposed bills that would ban drag from minors, but could be enforced in the same way as WV SB 252 in theory.

In 2022

Florida banned Medicaid coverage for Trans Affirming Healthcare.

Bathroom Bans were instituted in states across the country.

Laws banning any Trans Affirming Healthcare for teens have been enacted in several states.

"Don't Say Gay" Bills, again spread across the country in various states.

In Texas the Family and Protective Services were ordered to begin investigating all trans children in Texas and prosecuting their parents as child abusers and all teachers, doctors, and caregivers ordered to begin reporting any trans students they see.

Hey. Serious topic for a bit.

It’s okay to question your gender. It’s okay to go through a phase where you use different pronouns and go back to what you originally used. It’s alright to be scared to medically transition. It’s normal to wait a bit.

I’ve been seeing some things pop up trying to rally parents against their transgender teens and warning teens against transitioning.

And i’m here to tell you, this should not be a war against parents and teens.

Yes. Detransitioning is a thing that occurs, at around 13% (1.) (from ONE academic study) BUT these are mainly due to outside pressures. Pressure from jobs, family, mental health, harassment, and medical treatment blockages all played a role (2).

If you a transgender, I cannot speak for everyone, but know that dysphoria can come from your own thoughts, to how you look, and how people treat you. Some trans people don’t undergo surgery or medically transition, and these are all valid ways of self-expression.

Parents, if you see this, do your research too. Talk and LISTEN to your kid. They’re learning about themselves, just as you are learning about them. Be patient. You don’t know EVERYTHING and It really can save your child’s life.

Why do you defend detransitioners when most of them are transphobic and toxic? I was forced to detransiton for a few years, and I was part of that community, and they largely support transphobia, transmedicalism, enbyphobia, conversation therapy, threats of rape as a way to make people stop being trans, and they fetishize transphobia and abuse. When I was in that community, I saw so many miserable detransitioners kill themselves because of feeling like they should have been trans but just couldn't, and I saw so many others encourage suicide in trans people.

When I retransitioned/came back out, I was physically assaulted by a someone in the detrans community, and I was doxxed and threatened by others. My family was threatened and I had my house swatted.

There's a big difference between people who aren't on HRT or who change their labels or are forced into the closet and the kind of transphobic monsters who actually make up the detrans community, the ones who harass and hurt people, who try to ban access to trans health care, the ones who make being trans in public illegal, and the ones who turn their whole personality into hating trans people because they feel wronged by us.

You have no idea how large that majority of the detrans community is unless you're in it. But it's just transphobes who are inserting themselves in a community they purposely left. They're not LGBT+, they're unsafe, you are transphobic if you support detransitioners.

but the thing with detransitioners is that they're not inherently bad people. Yes, it's true that many of them turn out to be raging transphobes, but there's definitely many out there who are in full support of trans people. I, for one, have many detransitioned friends, all of them are in support of trans people.

Think of it this way. They're just people who explored their gender identity, and realized that certain labels were not for them. How is that any different from someone identifying as non binary, and then realizing that they're trans?

Again, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, but please understand that detransitioning isn't an inherently bad thing to do.

I was a guy for 8 years and then one day I wasn't anymore so I detransitioned. That's MY experience, NOT everyone else's.

I will personally fight for, advocate and protect all trans folk and their experience with gender regardless of what it may be. Because it's THEIR experience and they have a right to live as their authentic selves.

Please don't lump me in with the transphobic detrans movement. That is not me and it never will be. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Their experiences and identities are 100% valid BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY ARE. I WILL fight over this.

Hey guys.

Most of you will hate the news, but it is what it is. You have to understand, I already hate my life a lot more than any of you can make me feel bad about it. Anyway, I only came online to say this one thing and will probably deactivate/delete the account.

After months and months of hopelessly trying to ignore reality, I've now completely detransitioned. It is something I absolutely loathe, it was not because of personal choice and I barely hold on to a meaningless existence every time I wake up in the morning.

I might leave the account here, for sentimental reasons. If that happens, I will not be posting anymore, or replying to messages, asks, mentions, etc.

I now look nothing like my photos 🙃 and although my urges and desires never changed at all, most people (if not all) now treat me as a cis dude.

It's disgusting.

But I can't blame them. I can't blame anyone other than life being incredibly unfair.

I hope you all have a much more beautiful and satisfying life. Every day.
