A small animation I did as my final project for my Drawing and Illustration class earlier this year. We used acrylic paint and acrylic panels for it, though by far my favorite thing was creating Amani's puppet to animate!

The yarn club for 2024 will be A Froggy Rainbow. 🌈 Each month you will receive a carefully boxed exclusive colourway. It will arrive with an information card about the cute amphibian, a matching stitch marker or other small gift, and colour co-ordinated packaging.

GMMTV 2024 PART 2 - BINGO

I was quite pleased with part 1 🌈🥰 And let's be real, I've got no time to make another bingo card for part 2 so here's what's left of my first card!

P'Jojo said somewhere that he’d like to do a domestic cutesy BL, please give the man what he wants. As a general rule, GMMTV should just let Jojo do whatever Jojo wants to do, period.

P’Aof once said in a interview that he would like to work with actors he hasn’t work with yet and that among gmmtv he hadn’t had the chance to work with Gun (or Krist) soooooooooo this could be the year is what I’m saying.

PLEASE give me something by the BMF production team (P'Waa Waasuthep, who also directed The Gifted) because Be My Favorite is definitely one of my favorite series, it was perfect.

Another more politically oriented drama (à la The Eclipse, Not Me)

Since remakes are in right now, you know what I would love a Thai take on? Color Rush! I really liked this KBL, it had SUCH an interesting premise but… *sigh* it was way too short to be impactful imo (the vibe of the show though omg). (P'Nuchy? P'Golf?)

this year has so far been the worst when it actually comes to japanese studying... its been very inconsistent (and i'm still on chapter one on the textbook i got like 7-8 months ago).

these days, i've mostly been using tadoku to help with my reading. my most recent reads were 彼氏が欲しい！, まだ？ and ピーターラビットのお話. i usually write down vocabulary and translations (in furigana as writing in kanji still stresses me out).

if i get round to it, i may write up a vocabulary list for some of the common words from each of the stories i've read... maybe when i'm more active again!!

i also brought a new folder today for my japanese language studies and used my old one towards work stuff that used to live in my uni folder!!!

Thanks @yoellglia for tagging me! It’s good to appreciate myself. Srsly it took me sometime to write up because all I can think of at the moment is what I don’t like about myself:/

1. I like that I’m a people person. Somehow people are attracted to me - I didn’t realise till recent. For example people would ask me for direction (even when I’m travelling and don’t look local at all😂), baby in the stroller would smile to me, street interview usually turns to me when I’m with friends.

2. I like my style. I’m not fashionista but I get compliments for outfits and choice of perfume occasionally.

3. I like that I look older than my actual age. I used to be very bothered by this. When I was in uni my mentor always, always thought I was a mature student pursuing a second degree or what. But now as I’m working it quite an advantage. People never challenge me with ‘how much experience do you have’ hahahahaha

4. I like that I’m a person who would embrace diversity. I like learning new languages and acquiring new skills (mostly unrelated to my profession) In university my peers would go for boring easy courses to get good grades but I would opt for fun courses like queer culture, philosophy, logic and modern arts.

5. I like that I’m compassionate. Sometimes it makes me unnecessarily emotional but I’d like to stay sentimental than numb.

Yayyyyy! Feels good to think on these! Again I don’t have lots of friends to tag so, if you feel like giving yourself a pat on the back - feel free!

Tuesday 🌈

A no nap day

Woke up, took my car around the corner for a service. First time driving in a week woo. Josh followed to bring me home.

Went for a coffee walk. Did 3km.

Lunch was the leftover pasta but with zaatar chilli oil through it. So simple and tasty.

Got my car

Went to my GP appointment. He was across everything as the hospital had cc’ed him into it all. We had a good catch up and check up. He removed my dressings and they have started to heal well. I am very happy with him but in the last four months I’ve been in for my dislocation, iron infusion, melanoma check and now some surprise anaphylaxis so it’ll be nice for him to not see me for a bit??? Although I do have to have a blood test to follow up on my iron levels and if the infusion held. I pretty much don’t have to go back to work this year… I had informed work I would be back 18-19 for the two staff days but my GP has told me to stay away from work and rest. I might pop in for the Christmas lunch. Who knows. I will see how I am feeling.

Came home and just rested to be honest. I have done a good chunk of uni work today and I am feeling scattered still. Time to unwind.

Dinner will be a beef ciabatta roll kind of like a steak sanga with potatoes yum

I have programmed some yoghurt for dessert so I can sneak in just under 2500 yay. Happier with the breakdowns today. There’s a watermelon drink in addicted to which is higher in sugar but yolo.

Tomorrow is another day.

And another would be Communication is the basis of a healthy relationship by casualscribbler who I'd also consider a friend (actually everyone who loves Jenny and Vastra is automatically my friend I don't make the rules). It's a beautiful fic about Jenny and Vastra and them growing closer together. Said author has also some other brilliant works, some of which are rather on the angsty side (and made me cry a lot fhdjgskfdg), but I love them dearly.

Uhhhh, okay. So, one, I finally got to meet with a therapist about my chronic pain and she gave me addresses to a few places for stuff I got going on (I cried a lot but some of that crying really just needed to get out)

I passed an exam I worried about a lot, andddddd three, I kinda fell into a hyperfixation on the PGSM 2003 live action series and am LIVING bc nine years ago my parents claimed Sailor Moon would just be a short phase and now it's STILL THERE >:D

“If you are booking Autism training for your school or workplace- book an autistic professional. We exist. Many of us offer training.

These types of trainings have traditionally been presented by non-autistic professionals. The issue is that the info given is ’Autism- but from a neurotypical perspective’. In case it’s unclear: we don’t need any more allistic perspectives of Autism. We need Autistic perspectives.

If you wanted to learn about women, would you ask a bunch of men? If you wanted to know what it’s like to be gay, would you ask a straight person?

Much of the research done on Autistic people is no good. The original questions asked were the wrong ones, the conclusions drawn were damaging and ableist, and the consequent recommendations made were inappropriate and often harmful. The programs designed to help us often break us. The terrible mental health statistics of Autistic people show this very clearly.

The awful ’autism is a tragedy’ narrative, the medical model that pathologises every tiny autistic trait and calls it a problem- this is the result of non-autistic researchers and professionals running the show.

It needs to stop.

If you actually want to hear about Autism, to learn how to support autistic students and kids and adults- book training from an autistic professional. Have your staff learn about Autism from someone who has lived it. There is no one more qualified.

If you are a non autistic professional offering training about Autism- where have you gotten your info from? What autistic-led trainings have you done?

If you are simply delivering the info that you received at uni then you are spreading misinformation about autism and contributing to the problem. Imagine the situation was reversed. How would you feel about an autistic professional lecturing about the neurotypical experience? Making assumptions that you know to be wrong? Guessing about your life and telling everyone that your info is factual?

The best way to support us here is by amplifying autistic voices, hosting autistic professionals at your place of work/school, and taking our recommendations on board.

All kind of art: painting, collage, sculpting, music, you name it (though he can't sing to save his life).

He occasionally drinks (mainly beer), essentially during parties. He also smokes some weed now and then. As for tobacco, he only smokes it when Mal (that is, Malcolm Landgraab) offers him a cigarette, but he doesn't like it.

🌈 RAINBOW — what is your oc’s sexual orientation/gender identity? what pronouns do they use?

He's gay/greysexual. As for his gender, he defines it as "Gender? Don't know her". What he means is: gender is not something he understands and doesn't see why he should label himself; he still mainly uses he/him pronouns, as it's what everyone uses for him, but he can easily use feminine pronouns/words to talk about himself.

💚 GREEN HEART — does your oc prefer being inside or outside?

Depends. He loves being in his own bedroom/garage (well, Mila's garage, where he moved in after he entered uni), but he also likes to spend time outside, essentially in the woods.

🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE — when is your oc’s birthday? how old are they? what are their sun, moon, & rising signs (if known)? what about their tarot card, ruling planet, & ruling number (if known)? do they fit the typical traits of these sun, moon, & rising signs?

His birthday is January 13th. At this point in the "story" he's around 20/21? Sun: Capricorn (with Mercury in Sagittarius) -> pessimism could be is middle name, but he's also loyal, hard-working if the thing interest him, that is), very imaginative (he's an artist), and a perfectionist Moon: Libra -> he has great difficulties to make decisions and depends on others to make them for him (what is SO not Libra Moon though: conflict; he loves conflict - though, not with his close ones. As for his extended family, in my mind, Mila and Mortimer are half-siblings (they have the same mother), so Cassandra and Alexander are his cousins. He's very close with Cassie who's one of his best friends, and despite often complaining about him, he would kill for Lucas. But he's not very close with Gunther. And of course, he adores his mother.

🌼 Who likes to go outdoors and who prefers to stay inside?

In the summer Hilary prefers to stay inside, have late-night at-home movie dates or bake/cook together. Tyson is a beach person through and through (am I ever letting go of my surfer hc NO) and in order to get Hilary out and about, he has to make a lot of promises about doing extra chores or studying. But it's all worth it in the end when Hilary steps out in a bikini.

Oddly enough, Hilary and Tyson finds it annoying since when they do go to the beach she just curls up in a corner with a book and doesn't move about, so how does she manage to break it every single time 🧐

🐚Who likes collecting shells?

Tyson, and then he gives the best ones to Hilary. Which isn't a great idea since she's a hoarder so by the time they're old, she just has jars and jars full of shells given to her by Tyson.

Sometimes Tyson keeps the really good finds to show to his father whenever they meet.

🌞Who handles the heat better?

Tyson, Hilary complains a lot and never lends her handheld electric fan to anyone.

⛈Who’s afraid of thunderstorms?

Also Hilary, but she wouldn't exactly be scared of it, but just that they maker her uncomfortable and she prefers not to be alone when it's happening.

🌈Who enjoys the longer days the most?

I think this would really depend on the phase of their lives. When they're in school together then both of them would love longer days because that would mean being able to spend more time in each other's company. When they're in uni or when they start working, then they just want the day to get over so they can get home and see each other again.

Tyson because he has a faint memory of his father pointing out the constellations to him when he was little, Hilary also becomes interested in astronomy after Tyson mentions this. And then she becomes the person Tyson goes to with all his questions astronomical questions.

🌊Freshwater or saltwater?

Tyson would love saltwater because he likes to swim/surf in the ocean during summers, Hilary likes freshwater because she enjoys sitting by a pond on a spring morning.

🍉Which one loves watermelon? Who spits the seeds like it’s a sport? Or who hates the seeds?

They both love watermelon and they definitely compete over who can spit the seeds out faster. Every now and then Tyson lets Hilary win so he can see her celebrate unabashedly.

This would be something that Hilary would plan for the two of them just so they can avoid going to the beach for a day. Tyson will obviously eat more berries than he picks and then sulk when Hilary finishes off with a larger amount than him.

🥩Who’s grilling? What are they grilling?

I can see Tyson as one of those guys who're really particular about their grilling equipment and techniques. They probably bring out the grill for cookouts and beach parties so Tyson would probably choose to grill some meat.

🛶Who’s never been on a kayak/canon? Do they tip over?

Hilary's probably never been because Tyson keeps teasing her about how he will tip her over.

✈️Do they travel over the summer? Where to?

I think when they're in their 20s they'd travel during every vacation they get, especially during the summers I can see them making plans to visit Max in America, or Rei in China. But when their kids are born, they prefer to do more domestic trips and save international travels for special occasions.

🎢Are they amusement park people? If so, what’s their favorite ride?

They weren't really until they decided to have 4 kids with wildly different personalities who can only ever agree on doing one activity together, riding a roller coaster. Hilary sits this one out though.
